In the 1995 manga by Cagiva, there are a few companions, the first being Rahska! Rahska is a boy Link's age and they grew up together, but instead of taking up the sword he instead uses martial arts (preferring the use of his bare hands and feet). In ALTTP, he's the younger of the two quarreling brothers, which I found was a neat use of the character! The two have a close dynamic where they're trying to show up each other and be the better fighter, but they're shown to be genuine close friends despite their rivalry who would risk their lives for each other, and in Vol.1 they're both in the running to be the hero of legend (but Link wins in the end by saving Rahska's life).

Another party member in Cagiva's manga is the Captain Arjuna (of the guard). He's a close friend of Link's uncle, and they nearly died together when fighting Agahnim, but the Captain just barely got away with his life and goes on to be the party leader in a sense. He travels with the boys and is the voice of reason and becomes a comfort figure for Link, very early on speaking of Link's amazing combat abilities and comforting Link when he cries, encouraging his emotions.

Honorary mention to Tou (Rahska's father, who I thought was his brother at first?), who had faith in Link even when he was named a criminal and goes out of his way to save Link from the guards at Kakariko and encourages Rahska to join Link's journey.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Secondary Honorary mention to Zelda (Wow!!). Even though Himekawa's Zelda was more present then game Zelda, she....mostly just gave mysterious advice and felt above the plot. She did help in the battle but... she felt out of place? Like she was too powerful for the stakes to really affect her. But Cagiva's Zelda starts swinging (literally)! She found out Agahnim's plan and instead of getting captured, she waits for him to come kidnap her with a sword and she's no slouch either! And when Agahnim comes for her in the church, she tries to meet him with a sword (and sadly fails), but she feels like a real character, and acts the same age as Link and Rahska.

One of the big things that make my progress slow is getting through all of the manga (and hopefully novels!) Right now I'm going through A Link To The Past manga and it's fascinating how (unlike the game) the manga writers love giving Link a team! Especially with a team member that sort-of mirrors Link's journey. [Spoilers ahead!]
[Because of the image limit it's broken up into multiple posts, sorry!
In the 2005 manga by Himekawa, this role is filled by Ghanti, a young bandit who was raised to believe the Knights of Hyrule killed her parents, but the bandit-leader who took her in lied, as she was actually a daughter of some knights (who were killed by Ganon/Agahnim). At first she appears to be human (or at least has rounded ears), but she's revealed to be a hylian (her ears having been hidden) with an earring that's the silver arrow needed to kill Ganon! She's fiercely independent but loyal. She also gets a beast form in the dark world!

Blind the Thief and the Fourth Maiden
According to Sheikah myth Blind was the photosensitive leader of a gang of Thieves, his hideout was situated in Kakariko Village. Blind, and his thieves worked at night, leading a massive crime wave across Hyrule. At some point, Blind was lured into the Dark World by his desire for the Triforce. As a result of his greed, there he was recruited by Ganon to Guard the Fourth Maiden.
When the Fourth maiden arrived she was unable to use her bloodline’s technique of Blockage to transform herself into Crystal. So Blind planned to use this to defeat the Hero. He used dark sheikah magic to turn invisible and undetectable by other magic users. And used the Maiden like a puppet.
When Link and Rahska arrived at the The dungeon that was located beneath the Gargoyle in the center of the Village of Outcasts. they found the Maiden  “Ohh, thank you so much! You saved my life! Please take me outside." she asked them. Rahska was a little concerned about this wondering why she wasn’t in a crystal like the others. But Link believe the Girls story, but in the back of his mind he could hear Zelda’s Voice say "Link... Don't be deceived by the magic of Blind the Thief! Be careful!"  the Girl was excited to be freed from her Cell and to get out of the dungeon but as they approached the exit, her memory of what Blind was up to slowly came back. But it was to late, as the light hit her She was transformed into Her Crystal Form and hung as a necklaces around the thief's neck. Fear gripped Rahska as he recognized the laughter of the Sheikah Thief
I wanted to take the story of Blind the thief a little differently. in the Game and Ataru Cagiva’s Manga, Blind was disguise as the girl before being exposed to light. while in the manga he walk with the gang outside before transforming due to their bickering. when I played the Game I thought that she was a maiden just being used by Blind transforming back into a Crystal once her purpose was done. so I'm going to combine my Thoughts with the Game and Manga.  that the girl is a Maiden, that due to Blind’s Magic was unable to use her Blockage technique and only exposure to light will activate it. Blind will hide in the shadows until the Maiden is gone and Link is not on guard. He creates a Shadow barrier around the Village, and sends Link off a Cliff like in Ataru’s Manga leaving Rahska to face him alone. this will tie into a previous post about the Hero of Time saving Link in the Dark World https://samuelalrick.tumblr.com/post/185613929565/based-on-ataru-cagivas-manga-link-has-just-been

Sahasrala’s House
Link and Zelda head to Kakariko Village but find it's filled with Aghanim's Controlled Solders. they get past them with the help of Link's Sheikah Friend Rahska and his Father and they go to the Elder's House to speak with him. But Sahasrala is not there. only his wife is in the house. and she tells them that He has fled the Village after Hearing rumors from Castle Town of Aghanim's plot. He left so suddenly that even she doesn't know where he went. The group searches his Study for any clue as to where the Old man was going. but they couldn't find any. but just as they were leaving Sahasrala's Study his Wife notices a painting that was lending remarking that the elder's study my be a mess at times, but he never liked crooked paintings. Link recognizes the location in the painting as the Temple of Time. And realizes that Sahasrala was heading to the Eastern Palace. Rahska's Dad comes from the same manga he comes from. (Ataru Cagiva's) although it's not colored his Hair was dark in that manga. I gave him the Traditional Sheikah White Hair so that Impa and Rahska Stand out as the only Sheikah with a different color hair. Also, Rahska is Sahsrasla's Grandson and is a brother/Nephew/or Cousin to Impa (haven't decided yet) Sahsrasla's wife is based on Impa from Breath of the Wild and Granny from My Neighbor Totoro ( I'm also a big Ghibli fan )

Link and his friends are sent into the Ruins of Ocarina of Time's Hyrule Castle, now known as the "Eastern Palace." There they must fight the Might Armos Knights that Guard the Pendant of Courage. The Armos Knight's design comes from Ataru Cagiva's Manga and a bit of Breath of the Wild's Guardians

This Character is named Rahska and he Appeared in Ataru Cagiva's Manga comic The Legend of Zelda Triforce of the Gods, published on June, 27,1995 he served as Link's companion and was good at hand to hand combat.
Because the members of the Sheikah tribe are also good Hand to hand combat and live in Kakoriko village I thought Rahska tribe should be part of the tribe.

Atop Death Mountain
After collecting all of the Ancient Stone Tablets Zelda, Kimi along with Rahska Head up to Death Mountain where they find a Emerald color Monolith standing all by itself. Zelda and Raskha remember seeing this Monolith years ago when they had traveled to the Tower of Hera with Link as he collected the Pendants of Virtue. But at the Time they didn’t understand what it was or what it said. So they had forgotten about it until Zelda had a dream about it the night before. So using the Book of Mudora and the Stone Tablets The group group try translating the text on the Stone to determine what it says.
The dress Princess Zelda is wearing is based on her appearance in The Oracle Series. My plan so far for AST is to connect it with the Oracle Series since they are happening around the same time. Kiki’s bored expression is a reference to the part of the game where Zelda is solving the mystery of the seal and you have to wait awhile until she’s finished. When AST first came out (only in Japan) it was a time based game so At a certain time Zelda would finish translating a the game would continue. (If you left her to explore Hyrule she would call telepathically to return to Death Mountain) so my basic plan for this part of the story is that Zelda finds out that there is a way to bring Ganon back to life. By lighting the flames of Destruction, Despair and Sorrow. But then Twinrovoa would appear and Kidnap Zelda despite Kimi and Raskha’s best efforts to save Zelda. This would lead to the Finale of the Oracle Series. I’m still working on this idea to connect the Oracle Series with Ancient Stone Tablets.
I also though it would be fun to finally draw Raskha in his Sheikah stealth suit (I drew a concept of him in that suit a while back) I think Raskha after the events of ALTTP probably got a job as one of the Sheikah guards working at Hyrule Castle.

Hylian Festival
When i first started working on this Picture, I had the idea to draw the celebration of the defeat of Aghanim and Ganon at the end of the story, but as i continued to think about it i decided to do the began Festival instead, an idea i had for my Fan-fiction for awhile. (that’s why Link and Zelda’s clothes are different and why Kimi is not in the top one she doesn’t meet them until after Aghanim sends Zelda to the Dark world.)
similar to the coming of age festival in the Wind Waker, this festival honor’s the Hero of Time and the seven wise men, although people don’t know the true fate of the Hero of Time (the Royal Family covered it up.) they believe that the Hero defeated Ganon during the Imprisioning war.
Link, his Uncle and Rahska travel to Castle Town to Sell their Apples at the Market place, Link Participates in a Knight’s Trial’s (like to one in the Oracle of Seasons Manga) he beat’s the first challenger and fight’s a second who is Princess Zelda, I want to establish her want to live a normal life outside the castle here. and a Zelink relationship. Zelda’s Father is aware of her leaving the Castle much to Impa’s Displeasure. Aghanim has alreadly captured the Sixth maiden and has sent her to the Dark world.
although i dropped the original idea i decided to at least finish it and gave Link his Red Tunic to reference a great Zelda Fan Fiction I’m reading here on Tumblr  Linked Universe https://linkeduniverse.tumblr.com/
(oh and i did the Coloring in of the ALTTP Akira Himekawa Manga page i used in this post)

After collecting the second Pendent in the Gerudo Desert. Link, Rahska, and Zelda journey toward Death Mountain to get the Pendent of Power in the Tower of Hera. The tower was being built by the Gorons to protect Hyrule from threats from the sea. But during the final days of construction Moldorm attacked the workers. one of them found Link and asked him to Kill the beast. Although Gorons don't appear in ALTTP  I wanted to include them. The Tower of Hera is built on the same location where Akkala Citadel stands in Breath of the Wild. and during the fight with Moldorm the floor has holes in it so I thought it would be great idea that the Tower is under construction during ALTTP

This is when Link Zelda and Rahska meet Sahasrahla in the Temple of Time near the Ancient Ruins of Hyrule Castle and Castle Town from Ocraina Of Time which was destroyed during Ganondorf Dragmire's Tyrannical rule more then 600 years ago. Sahasrahla tell the Young Link that in order to defeat Aghanim he must obtain the Legendary Master Sword once used by the Great Hero of Time. But before he can claim the Blade of Evils Bane he must collect the Three Pendants of Virtue the first is in the Cave on a hill east of the Temple (this cave will later on be the Shrine of Resurrection in BOTW.) They will need to be cautious because this place will test their Wisdom.
I know that in the description of the location where the pendant of wisdom is not the same as the Eastern Palace from ALTTP but I thought that the Eastern Palace was the Ruins of Hyrule Castle from Ocraina of Time when I played the game.and when I saw a YouTube video by NintendoWorldReport (I'll leave a link in the comments) where he show where the Temple of Time could be in ALTTP I believed that that was where it should be
And it does kinda work the Shrine of Resurrection is East of the Temple like the Name of the Eastern Palace.
And why would it be called the "Eastern Palace" anyway if it wasn't the previous location of Hyrule Castle.
Also the back of the Temple where the Goddess Hylia Statue is is based on the one seen in BOTW.
Because in my soon version of Ocarina of Time's Downfall Timeline ending I'm going to have Ganon Destroy the back half of the Temple forcing Zelda and the other to put the Master Sword in another location like the Lost Woods

Kimi
A Half Hylian Half Gerudo she lives near the Eastern Palace and the Temple of Time, she is Good friends with Captain Arjuna leader of the Royal family knights. After Sahsrasla sends Link and Rahska to the Eastern palace to obtain the Pendant of Courage. Sahsrasla also sends Kimi with them.
She's equipped with the Bow and arrow and the magic cap.
Kimi is a character I made up for the story, loosely based off of Ganty from Akira Himekawa's Manga.
And when A Link to the Past was still in production Nintendo considered a three party system kind of like Secret of Mana (a real good SNES game worth playing.) So that's why she going to be in my Animation.

Ishinomori's 1992's companion is a larger crew, a young boy trusted by Sahasrahla, Sahasrahla himself, the librarian, and the old woman. They advise Link through his journeys, give him solutions to puzzles, and provide support where they can.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The secondary crew is a dark-world zora (who was once a hylian/human man) and his fairy friend, Epheremelda. Epheremelda has the Tinkerbelle arc in Peter Pan where she gets jealous of how much Link talks about Zelda and flies off only to return later, but otherwise is a neat character (she flies a BOMB into ENEMIES and is PUMPED to do it!). The Zora also comes back later to save Link in his time of need (after he's tricked by a witch).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The last is a bird-man (kinda like a prototype rito!) who is human until he fights. His name is Roam and he's Link's rival in the dark world, and he believes that it's his destiny to kill Ganon (he came to the dark world to specifically do that!) (he kind of reminds me of Revali in that way...). He wields both a sword and a bow and he's made it his journey to find the silver arrow and kill Ganon (but the silver arrow turns out to be something that's summoned by the 7 priestesses and Zelda gets the last shot).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Speaking of Zelda, she's only really a companion for the last chapter, but she feels really human and seems to genuinely care for Link! She never planned to reach out directly but he was the only one who heard her call and they both save each other, and she's sad and lonely when Link dedicates the rest of his life to guarding the Triforce.
