MUNCHIES!
Kelvin Harrison Jr X Reader
Summary: Your neighbor, Kelvin, invites you to the fair. After a night of fun you end up in his apartment.
Warnings: Short, Smut, Humor, Neighbors.
Part One.
Why does having a crush put you in a state of mental hell?
It happens too easily and too often because your crush is across the hall from you.
And his name is Kelvin.
A handsome man with a bright, magnetic smile and a sense of humor. You moved in two months prior to meeting Kelvin. He was the first to greet you, reaching out his hand to shake yours while you were on your way into work.
“I’m Kelvin, welcome to the neighborhood. Don’t be a stranger. I promise I don’t bite. If you need anything like…sugar, spaghetti, you name it, I got it for you!”
You couldn’t help but giggle at him.
Funny thing is, you did end up needing sugar. You were currently making a batch of edible chocolate chip cookies for a friend. You confused the sugar bag for flour and there was no way you were going back out to the market after dealing with all that traffic and road rage. Slipping on your Stitch slippers, you head out into the hall and across to Kelvin’s door.
Raising a fist, you suddenly become aware of how naked you feel. Cookie Monster boy shorts on. A barely there tank top. A chill swept across your chest, causing your nipples to harden. Turning, you shuffle back towards your apartment, but the sound of a door knob twisting caught your ear from behind.
“I’ll catch you when you get back from your trip, Kel!”
“Got a lot of work to do within the next month with press and all—”
Silence. You do a slow and dramatic turn, meeting the stunned faces of Kelvin and a friend of his you didn’t recognize. Kelvin had a lot of friends. It was hard to keep up with names and faces. Kelvin stood within his entryway with a velour, emerald green durag over his head, a white tank top, and black ball shorts. The friend, a tall, lanky black boy sporting a grey hoodie and matching joggers didn’t hold back as his eyes swept over your frame.
“Y/N? Girl, where you think you goin’ dressed like that?” Kelvin questioned with a fold of his arms and an arched brow. The corner of his beautiful lips twitched, fighting the urge to laugh.
“So this Y/N? Dayum—”
Kelvin slapped his friend against the shoulder. They both share a look, communicating with their eyes. Y/N twisted her lips before a smile broke out across her pretty face. So…Kelvin talked about you to his friends?
Interesting. Definitely noted.
“My bad, love, I’m Roy. Nice to meet you.”
Roy held out his hand in greeting. You shake his hand before quickly releasing it. Your eyes linger on Kelvin’s face as the awkward silence stretched on. Roy cleared his throat, causing you to blink away from Kelvin’s hypnotic brown orbs.
“Nice to finally meet you. Be safe, bro.”
They bumped fists and Roy turned to leave.
“You didn’t answer my question, punk.”
You’d finally found your voice. You shove a foot towards Kelvin’s direction and he swatted it away.
“I ain’t no punk. And I was coming over to ask for some sugar. I got an edible order to make.” You finally reply.
Kelvin leaned against his doorway with a smirk and low eyes, “And none for me? What type of shit…”
“You got thirty dollars?” You quipped.
“I do. How fast can you make me some fruity pebbles?”
“As fast as that money is in my hand, Kelvin. Now, come on! I need sugar!”
You stomp in place like a spoiled brat. Kelvin’s eyes did a quick sweep of your shapely thighs and the peek of midriff that teased him.
“Take a picture! It’ll last longer!”
Kelvin gave you a skeptical look, “You wanted me to see you like this, huh? You ain’t slick.”
Kelvin took a few steps back, holding his apartment door open for you to enter. You give him a look and he inclined his head for you to come in. You’d never been inside of his apartment. He’d been in yours a few times to help you bring groceries in. As you walk forward, the smell of sativa titillated your nose. With a hint of hazelnut cream.
“Brown or white?”
You focus on his back. The dip in his back in particular. You could see muscle definition in his arms and upper back. You knew he’d been going harder in the gym with his personal trainer lately from his ig stories. Preparing for a role possibly. Whatever the case, you were pleased.
Huh?” You finally reply.
Kelvin looked over his shoulder at you with elevated brows.
“Brown or white sugar?”
“White.”
Kelvin snorted a laugh, “And here I thought I daydream too much.”
Kelvin opened his walk–in pantry. He reappeared two seconds later with a big storage container filled with sugar. He found a zip–lock and filled it generously with enough sugar to last you some time.
“You didn’t need to give me that much, Kel,” you accept the bag, holding it against your chest to conceal your nipples.
“I’m just tryna look out for you, girl. Plus, I want my fruity pebbles and my coochie—I mean cookies!”
Kelvin threw a hand over his mouth and you both burst into a fit of laughter. Kelvin doubled over with a hand against his stomach and you flew your body over his kitchen counter. Tears ran down your cheeks, and Kelvin’s boisterous smile and open mouth laugh didn’t help to contain your cackling.
“I had too much weed! Oh shit! Whew!” Kelvin used his thumb to swipe away tears, “Coochie sound good though I ain’t gon lie to you!”
“You make me sick! I’m leaving!”
You turn to leave but Kelvin grabbed you by the waist. You look back at him and couldn’t help but to laugh again. His touch against your skin sent signals to your nerves and your body did a jolt that you couldn’t control. He smelled amazing and his glassy skin looked delectable. Beyond his lashes you could tell from the whites of his eyes that he’d smoked some good shit.
“Who said you could leave me alone? Remember what I said happened the last time I smoked silver haze?” Kelvin whispered against your ear.
“I don’t remember nor do I give a fuck!”
You screech when Kelvin tried to tickle you. Your squirming became too much so he released you.
“I got a couple blunts left if you wanna chill with me?”
Kelvin tucked his chin and wagged his brows at you. You narrow your eyes at him.
“I have to get this order finished. If you want, come help me out and we can smoke.”
Kelvin tapped his chin in thought. Too long for your patience.
“It’s either a yes or a no, Kelvin!” You shout with a smile.
“Aight, I’ll come over. Let me grab my chips first.”
Kelvin opened his pantry again and you waited for him while walked back towards the door. Your curious eyes scanned his eclectically stylish apartment until your eyes came upon a painting.
“Honey Dripping. That’s the name of it.”
You jump slightly from being startled. Kelvin was amused with your response, eyes twinkling with mischief. You turn your attention back to the painting.
“Why this one in particular?” You question.
“It’s beautiful. It shows appreciation to the female anatomy. And I love coochie…or did you forget the slip of my tongue back in the kitchen?”
The playful edge to his voice sparked a horniness within you. Kelvin took his place next to you while munching on Lay’s chips. He chewed and admired the painting with wondrous enthusiasm.
“Anyway, you ready to head out? Them Cookie Monster shorts had enough fun for one night, ma.”
You shove him jokingly before leading the way out of his apartment. Kelvin grabbed his keys and slipped on some crocs along the way. Still, the painting and his words remained on your mind.
——
You allow Kelvin to add the chocolate chips before mixing the thick batter. The sound of Tyler The Creator playing from your Bluetooth had the two of you grooving. Kelvin cut some parchment to line the cookie sheet while you took a break to puff on a blunt. French inhaling the smoke, you pass it to Kelvin who accepted the blunt between his thumb and pointer finger, toting it before expertly blowing the smoke away from you.
You open the oven and Kelvin slipped the tray inside.
“See what team work can do?” Kelvin brushed his hands.
“Maybe asking you for sugar was the right thing to do after all.”
You wink at him while gathering your dishes to clean. Kelvin perched himself next to you with a towel to dry.
“Got any plans tomorrow?” Kelvin asked after placing a clean mixing bowl in the dish rack.
“No. Why?” You glance at him with bright eyes.
“There’s a fair…heard about it?”
“I did. Was gonna buy two tickets but that didn’t work out.”
Kelvin pouted his bottom lip with curiosity, “What happened?”
“…long story,” you huffed, “Shortened version? This dude I met on Hinge, found out he was seeing my friend.”
“OUCH. That’s fucked up,” Kelvin accepted a whisk, “Happy you dodged that bullet and here I am to save the day!”
You laugh, “Mr. Harrison, are you asking me on a date?”
You jutted your hip out and gave Kelvin a flirty look with a little smile. He licked his lips before chuckling. His eyes danced across your face and that look was doing things to you.
“I guess I am, huh?” Kelvin nibbled on his bottom lip, “Well? Can I take you to the fair, Y/N?”
You played it cool by giving him a nod in acceptance and a coy smile. On the inside, you were doing flips and cheers. After months of the back and forth, he made the first move. As he should. You’d dropped hints plenty of times. This didn’t mean anything yet. It could be a simple friend date. A date with Kelvin of any kind was enough for you.
“Then it’s a date. I’ll pick you up at three?”
“Three is good.”
You both finish up and head to your living room to smoke and watch a little TV. Kelvin made himself comfortable on the floor while you laid on your side on the sofa. Head propped up against your arm, you put on a random Marvel movie. Kelvin brought his knees up and draped his arms over it. You tap his shoulder with your acrylic french tip and he cut his eyes at you before accepting the blunt to keep the rotation flowing.
“You like roller coasters?” Kelvin asked.
“I do.”
“How about drop towers?”
“Nah,” you take the blunt, “Had a bad experience on one before.”
“You got stuck?” Kelvin turned his body fully, giving you a shocked look with his mouth hanging open.
“I did! Happened when I was eleven. Six flags. The ride started up out of nowhere and that drop almost made me see heaven. No more.”
Kelvin threw his head back and laughed. The fabric of his durag stroked your knee and it caused goosebumps to appear on your arms.
“I hate anything that spins. Shit makes me sick.” Kelvin revealed with a look of disgust.
“Let me guess, made you vomit?”
“Yeah! I hate feeling dizzy. That over and over again spinning drives me nuts!”
Bet, remind me to put you on the cyclone for torture when you piss me off.” You replied jokingly.
Kelvin sat up on his knees to face you.
“That’s if you can even force me to do it. Look at all this,” Kelvin flexed, showing off muscles and lifted his shirt to give you a glance at his abs, “Too strong!”
“Kelvin, we’re the same height. And last time I checked, your friend Aaron got you beat in that department—HEY!”
Kelvin had snatched your slippers off and started tickling your feet. You writhed on the sofa, kicking a squealing, trying to fight him off.
“OKAY! okayokayokay! I’m sorry!” You were blinded by tears and your laughter couldn’t be contained, “KELVIN! YOU WIN! OKAY!”
“That’s not what I want to hear, Y/N.”
Kelvin grabbed you by the ankles, your body tumbling to the throw rug. Kelvin climbed over you to hold your wrists above your head. You move your head to get your braids from your eyes and focus on Kelvin’s face. Your chest rose and fell with deep breaths and he blinked down at you with a condescending smile.
“Where’s the blunt?!”
“On the tray. Don’t try to deflect. What was that about Aaron?!”
“I was only kidding!” You replied.
“Mhm. Don’t let me find out you’ve been checking him out, punk.”
You liked this side of Kelvin. The way he had you trapped beneath him and the glint in his eyes with that sexy smirk had you a wet mess. You wanted to see how far he’d go.
“Can I share something with you, Kel?”
He tilted his head, gold chain dangling in your face, “Yeah? What’s that.”
“Well,” you look heavenward, “I always wondered what it’ll be like to…have Aaron do arm curls while using me as weights—STOP!”
“Keep it up! I can do this all night!” Kelvin said between laughter.
The timer beeped on the oven, alerting you that the cookies were ready. Kelvin sucked his teeth before releasing you. He helped you up from the floor, but suddenly he lifted you up and tossed you over his shoulder. You wiggle your feet while he carried you towards the kitchen.
“Put me down before you drop me!”
Kelvin sat you down on the counter and grabbed the oven mitts. He took the cookies out and sat them on top of the stove. The smell of the freshly baked treat wafted your nose and made your mouth water.
“Why must you act up, Y/N? See, I would punish you…but you ain’t ready for that.”
You fold your leg over the other and tilt your head.
“What exactly is a punishment from Mr. Harrison entail?”
“You ain’t ready for that, Y/N.”
Kelvin removed the mitts.
“I’m a head out. I gotta get up early to train and take care of some other shit before I come scoop you for the fair…”
You were too late at hiding your disappointment. Kelvin worried his brows and pouted his lip.
“Awww I’ll miss your annoying ass too.” Kelvin walked up to you and gave you a kiss to the cheek, “Get some sleep. I want you energized for the fair tomorrow. We got a lot of shenanigans to get into, ma!”
Kelvin snatched up his keys and slipped on his crocs. You were still stuck on the kiss that tingled your cheek. His lips were indeed soft like a Tempur-pedic mattress. Probably tasted good to. His mouth had to taste good.
“Come walk me to the door.”
You hop down from the counter and follow Kelvin. He opened the door, pausing with his head against it and giving you a dreamy look that had you giggling.
“See you tomorrow, Y/N. Take your ass to bed.” Kelvin grabbed your hand and kissed it like a gentleman.
“Dream about me like I know you will.”
He licked his lips slowly, hazy eyes falling to your lips.
“I just might.”

My Dragon
Media - Game Of Thrones Character - Viserys Targaryen Couple - Viserys X Reader Reader - Y/n Rating - 18 + riding/ pinv/ full sex/ ejaculate/ breeding kink / C*ckwarming/ frustrated sex / fingering / nipple play Word Count - 2644
Viserys was angry! Full of rage at his sister's actions against him. At her Dothraki husband giving him orders! He was the last dragon, who dared those savages to order him around.
He forced his way into his tent and threw his sword across the room in frustration.
The sound caused Y/n to sit up a little, as she lay on the raised bed covered in pillows, blankets and other such fabrics, her body covered only by a thin sheer sheet, her hair messy. She picked her head up from the pillow she'd been sleeping on while viserys was gone and sat up just enough that she was still concealed,
"Uuummm... What is wrong my dragon?" She asked sleepily
Viserys stormed towards her, his face red with anger, “My sister, has seen fit to disregard my authority and now this...this savage thinks he can give me orders?” he spat, his voice venomous.
"ohh" she nodded, "what is it she said my dragon?"
Viserys's eyes blazed with fury as he leaned in close to Y/n, his hot breath caressing her skin, “She refused to give the gold I requested...the gold that is rightfully mine!” his voice dropped to a growl, “And now this...this beast thinks he can dictate terms to me.” Viserys's hand reached out, his fingers brushing against Y/n's cheek, “I need your help, my love,” he whispered, his eyes burning with intensity
She pulled him to sit on the bed and she wrapped her arms around him kissing his tender skin as her hands slowly undressed him "You are my dragon, the last male of house Targaryen, the last man who is the blood of old Valyira. She may feel she has the power to deny you gold but you can deny her the world, you are the dragon. No horse lord husband of hers will ever command you, you are his king. And all of them shall bow to you and beg your forgiveness when you have the crown on your head" she cooed massaging his ego
Viserys's eyes fluttered closed as Y/n's touch ignited a fire within him, her words fueling his desire for power and revenge, “Mmmm...yes,” he moaned, his hands tangling in her hair as she kissed his neck, her lips tracing the curve of his ear. “No one commands me,” he hissed, his voice low and menacing. “I am the last dragon, the rightful king of the Seven Kingdoms.” Viserys's hips bucked upwards, pressing himself against Y/n's hand as she stroked his skin, her touch sending sparks flying through his veins. “And soon,” he whispered, his breath hot against her skin, “soon I will claim what is mine.” Viserys's eyes snapped open, blazing with ambition and lust, as he looked down at Y/n, his heart pounding in his chest.
"of course you shall, you will claim what you are owed, and my dragon will sit on the throne he wants born for. Will you not? And your sister and her Dothraki husband will bow to you, fall on your mercy. And of course, you shall Gant their mercy as you are a wonderful and caring king. One day they will understand but that is not today." She explained as she guided him down to lay on the bed "but it will not be forgotten and it will not go unpunished once my dragon is king" she cooed as she mounted him, let him slip inside her and she began her gentle riding
Viserys's eyes rolled back in his head as Y/n sank down onto him, her warm, wet heat enveloping him like a vice “Ahhh…” he groaned, his hands grasping for her waist as she rode him, her movements slow and deliberate. “Yes...yes... you're so tight,” he whispered, his voice barely audible over the sound of his own ragged breathing. Viserys's hips lifted off the bed, meeting Y/n's downward motion with a thrust of his own, driving deeper into her slick folds. “My kingdom.”
"your kingdom, your throne, your crown, your men, your armies. My dragon" she cooed
Viserys's eyes flashed open, his gaze locking onto Y/n's as she rode him with increasing passion. “All of it... mine.” Viserys's hands tightened on Y/n's waist, pulling her down hard onto him as he drove upward, filling her. “Yes... yes... take it all,” he hissed, his teeth bared in a feral snarl.
She rode him slowly and passionately letting him work all his frustration out on her while she pleasured him "this." She smirked stroking his shaft before she slipped down it again "this is worth more than all things in the seven kingdoms, all gold she denies, all orders he commands. You my dragon are the blood of old valyira. Your seed is fire, dragon blood, your cock is worth more than anything they will ever know."
Viserys's eyes went wide, his pupils dilating as Y/n's words washed over him like a wave of liquid fire. “Ahh...yes…” he groaned, his body arching up off the bed as Y/n rode him with renewed ferocity. “You're right,” he whispered, his voice trembling with emotion. “This is worth everything.” Viserys's hands flew to Y/n's breasts, cupping them in his palms as he squeezed, feeling her nipples peak beneath his touch.
she softly moaned arching her back,
Viserys's mouth dropped open, his tongue darting out to lick the sweat-dampened skin of Y/n's chest. “Mmm…” he murmured, his lips tracing a path across her collarbone as he savored the taste of her. His hips snapped forward, driving deep into Y/n's warmth as he felt himself building towards release. “I'm going to come,” he warned, his voice low and husky. Viserys's hands slid down Y/n's sides, his fingers digging into her hips as he pulled her down hard onto him. Viserys's eyes locked onto Y/n's, his gaze burning with intensity as he felt himself on the brink of climax “No,” he whispered, his voice a mere breath away from her ear. “Don't move.” Viserys's hands tightened on Y/n's hips, holding her still as he buried himself deep within her. He closed his eyes, focusing every ounce of energy on the sensation building inside him. And then, in a burst of flame and fury, Viserys erupted, spilling his seed into Y/n's waiting womb.
She cooed as he filled her to her brim, she stroked his bare chest comfortingly and shifted her hips just enough to let him ride out his orgasm "My dragon feels better now?"
Viserys's eyes fluttered open, his gaze drifting lazily back to Y/n's as he felt the aftershocks of his climax begin to subside. “Yes,” he breathed, his voice weak but satisfied. “He does indeed.” Viserys's hands relaxed their grip on Y/n's hips, his arms wrapping around her instead as he drew her close. For a moment, they simply lay there, wrapped in each other's arms, the only sound the gentle rise and fall of their breathing. “Perhaps...perhaps it is time I claimed my rightful place upon the Iron Throne.”
she nodded as she laid beside him in the bed snuggled in his arms "perhaps it is"
Viserys's arms tightened around Y/n, holding her close as he gazed out the window at the darkening sky. “We will conquer Westeros,” he whispered, his voice full of conviction. “And I will rule with fire and blood.” Viserys's eyes burned with a fierce inner light as he spoke, his heart pounding with excitement at the prospect of reclaiming the throne. But as he looked down at Y/n, he saw something else in her expression a hint of concern, perhaps, or doubt. “What troubles you?”
"nothing my dragon" she smiled clearly lieing to make him feel better
Viserys's face softened, his expression relaxing into a warm smile as he gazed at Y/n. “You're so beautiful when you lie to me,” he teased, his voice dripping with affection. Viserys leaned in, his lips brushing against Y/n's ear as he whispered “But I know you too well, my love. You can't fool me that easily.” He chuckled, the sound low and husky, sending shivers down Y/n's spine. “Now tell me the truth. What's really troubling you?”
"my dragon will have no use for me when he is king"
Viserys's smile faltered, his expression turning serious as he gazed at Y/n.
“What are you talking about? You're my queen, my partner, my everything.” He sat up, his eyes blazing with intensity as he took Y/n's face in his hands. “I don't need anyone else,” he whispered, his voice trembling with emotion. “You're the one who makes me whole, who completes me.”
"would you not need to marry a westeros lady? Spread your dragon seed Into as many high born ladies as possible? You will be king, all the women of westeros will beg for your seed and your bed. Why would you bother to keep a chubby lyseri whore like me?" She said sadly
Viserys's face twisted in anger, his eyes flashing with hurt as he heard Y/n's words. “You're my queen, my lover, my everything. You're the one who has given me strength, who has made me feel alive.” He stood up, towering over Y/n as he glared at her. And then, in a voice that sent shivers down her spine, “You're right. I won't need you anymore once I'm king.” Viserys's eyes seemed to darken, his gaze burning with a fierce inner fire as he loomed over Y/n “But that doesn't mean I don’t want you,” He reached out, his hand closing around Y/n's hand “You'll come with me to King's Landing,” he cooed,
“And there, you'll serve me. You'll dance for me, sing for me, and spread your legs for me whenever I desire it. You'll learn to be the perfect queen, the perfect wife.” His lips brushed against hers, r.
she giggled "if you make me your queen you will not be able to marry any other ladies"
Viserys's eyes flashed with anger, but beneath the surface, a spark of excitement flickered to life. “But what if I didn't want to marry anyone else? What if I wanted to keep you all to myself?” His lips curled into a cruel smile as he pulled back, his eyes gleaming with a sinister light. “In that case,” he purred, “you'd be very lucky indeed.”
she nodded "very lucky my dragon" she cooed stroking his chest and kissing his lips
Viserys's eyes fluttered closed, his body relaxing into her touch as he savored the sensation of her lips on his “Mmm,” he murmured, “yes...kiss me like that. Make me forget about the Iron Throne, about the war, about anything except you.” His arms wrapped around her, pulling her close as he deepened the kiss, his tongue tangling with hers in a passionate, desperate dance.
she happily kissed him back climbing back up onto his lap as they kissed, rubbing her folds against his half-hard cock "Would this make you forget my dragon?"
Viserys's hands roamed over her body, cupping her breasts and squeezing them gently as he broke away from the kiss “Oh, yes,” he whispered, “this would definitely make me forget. Nothing makes me forget like the feel of you, Y/n.” His fingers dipped lower, tracing the curves of her hips and thighs before coming to rest on the soft flesh between her legs. “I want to see you ride me again,” he growled, “to feel your heat surround me. To watch you come apart under my touch.”
she moaned throwing her head back as his fingers torment her, but she moved and sank down on him once more shifting her hips to ride him again
Viserys's eyes rolled back in his head as she sank down on him, his cock throbbing with pleasure inside her warm, wet depths “Yes,” he hissed, “ride me like that. Take me deeper, harder.” His hands grasped her hips, holding her in place as he thrust upward, meeting her downward motion with a series of swift, powerful strokes. “Y/n,” he groaned, “you feel so good. So tight, so hot.” Viserys's grip on her hips tightened, his fingers digging into her skin as he quickened his pace. “I'm going to come already,” he warned, “and I want you with me. Come now, Y/n. Let go.” His mouth descended upon hers once more, their lips crashing together in a fierce, urgent kiss as he pistoned himself upward, driving deeper and deeper into her willing body. Suddenly, he felt it building the familiar rush of pressure, the tingling sensation that signaled the onset of orgasm. With a triumphant cry, Viserys exploded within her, his seed bursting forth in a torrent of release as he shuddered and convulsed under her.
As the last tremors of his climax faded, Viserys leaned back in his chair, a satisfied smile spreading across his face. His gaze drifted lazily over Y/n's features, drinking in the sight of her flushed cheeks and sparkling eyes. “Fuck… you are too good at that,”
she nodded kissing his neck softly and lazily, often squeezing around his cock to keep him pleasured,
Viserys's eyes fluttered closed, a low hum of pleasure vibrating through his chest as she squeezed around his still-hard cock. “Mmm,” he murmured, “keep doing that. It feels... amazing.”
"ummm" she nodded her hips slowly squirming, just enough to pleasure him keeping her movements slow and deep
Viserys's eyelids snapped open, his gaze locking onto Y/n's face as she rode him with slow, deliberate movements. His breathing quickened, his heart pounding in time with the rhythm of her hips. “Oh, god,” he whispered, “you're killing me. Keep moving like that. I'm...I'm close again.” His fingers dug into the bed, his knuckles creaking with strain as he fought to hold on to control.
"yes my dragon" she cooed as she continues her slow and deep movements, riding him only to please him and nothing else
Viserys's eyes blazed with intensity, his pupils constricting as he gazed at Y/n with a mixture of desire and adoration. “My queen,” he breathed, “my love. Ride me like that forever. Make me yours.” His voice dropped to a whisper, his words barely audible as he spoke them into her ear. His fingers wrapped around her waist, pulling her down onto him with a gentle yet insistent pressure. “Squeeze me tighter,” he commanded, “suck me dry with that cute little cunt,”
she giggled as she continues her slow movements in-between her pussy clenching around him to milk his cock with squeezes "Forever, if my dragon demands it I shall never leave his cock" she cooed
Viserys's face contorted in a mix of ecstasy and frustration, his body arching off the bed as she clenched around him with each squeeze “Yes,” he hissed, “like that. My queen, you're...you're... killing me.” He bucked upward, driving himself deeper into her warmth as she continued to ride him with slow, deliberate movements. “I demand it,” he growled, “never leave my cock.”
"yes my king" she whispered in his ear
Viserys's grip on her waist tightened, his fingers digging into her skin as he pulled her down onto him with a fierce urgency “No,” he whispered, “don't nod, don't whisper. Say it loud, say it proud. Tell me you'll never leave my cock.” His breath came in ragged gasps, his body trembling with the effort of holding back as she continued to milk him with her slow, squeezing movements.
"I shall never leave your cock My king, your queen shall have you inside her every moment I promise" she cooed as she moved
Viserys's eyes rolled back in his head, his vision blurring as he felt himself teetering on the edge of release. “That's it,” he groaned, “that's it. You're mine now, forever and always. No one else will touch you, no one else will claim you.” His body tensed, his muscles coiling like a spring as he prepared to unleash himself into her depths.
Viserys's chest heaved with exertion, his face twisted in a mask of raw pleasure as he waited for the inevitable. And then, in a burst of explosive release, he spilled himself into her depths, his body shuddering with the force of his climax As the aftershocks faded,

keys aggressively landed on the floor as sunghoon dropped it in rage.
“you’re really making a big deal out of this?”
y/n rolled her eyes in annoyance. “yeah, i am because what you did was uncalled for.” she folded her arms, almost in disbelief of how he was acting.
“i pushed him off of you, y/n. you should honestly be thanking me.”
her brows scrunched together — “he’s my friend sunghoon. he wasn’t even close to me.”
he let a scoff slip by his lips in a moment of doubt. “yeah, he sure seemed like it with how close his body was pressing up against you.”
she squinted her eyes at his words. “okay lose the fucking attitude because i’m not having it.” he sent a glare at the girl, close to burning holes as he began to grow irritated.
“you don’t know the intentions of guys y/n.”
“he has a girlfriend, sunghoon!”
hoon poked his tongue out through his cheek as he rolled his eyes — face becoming stern within each second.
“guys still cheat on their girlfriends.”
y/n scoffed, shaking her head as her heart grew heavy. “his girlfriend is my cousin, hoon.” she stopped to think carefully with her words — “look, i love you okay? and as much as i enjoy seeing you jealous, it’s not a healthy trait for you to keep doing this.”
“keep doing what?” he gritted with his clenched jaw.
“hoon…”
he shook his head and turned his back against her. “fine, you want me to not protect you anymore? got it. done. i’ll act like we’re not even in a relationship if that’s what you want.”
✩ ‘now as i’m yelling over her’ ✩
y/n’s heart shattered within seconds before letting the irking feel wash over. “you’re really gonna be fucking petty about this?”
“if that’s what you want,” he bluntly said with shrugging shoulders. his back still faced her as he couldn’t have it in himself to look at her.
“i can’t believe you’re acting so stubborn right now.”
“he was close to you, how do you expect me to not act the way i am?” his jaw tensed when he thought back to the vision of seeing y/n and her guy friend near each other.
“we’ve been friends for a long time sunghoon, and he wasn’t even as close as you thought he was.” she narrowed her eyes at his back, crossing her arms as the events from tonight started to drain her.
“he’s probably just waiting for the perfect moment to swoop in and catch you.” hoon mumbled with an obvious scoff.
silence easily took the room as y/n stayed quiet, not wanting to give a response for a second.
“are you serious? like, are you actually really fucking acting like this right now?”
✩ ‘she yelling over me’ ✩
sunghoon finally faced her, his gaze darkened as his eyes darted at her. he was upset, and so was she.
“how else do you want me to act?” he spoke, voice almost absent in the moment as his throat needed to be cleared.
she rolled her eyes, swiping her tongue through her teeth as she spat — “you’re really unbelievable.”
“yeah i bet you’ll quote that to him soon when you tell him what happened.”
✩ ‘all that that means is neither of us is listening’ ✩
her eyes were filled with betrayal. and after betrayal, came pettiness. the doubt that was taking over their relationship increased as soon as the words left his mouth.
✩ ‘but we won’t let it go for nothing’ ✩
“fine, you want me to go tell him? i will.” her hands swiftly reached for her jacket she threw off when she got home, shoes already intact as her feet quickened for the door. the burdened girl felt a sudden tug on her arm, knowing that her boyfriend was trying to pull her back.
“don’t leave.”
“talk to me when you’re no longer feeling petty. i don’t want to hear your stupid comments right now,” she spat out — pulling her arm back with a cold shoulder.
“it’s dark and it’s unsafe, it’s better if you stay here y/n.”
“honestly, hoon? i don’t want to be under the same roof as you right now.” the girl put on the last piece of her warm clothing and left. she was tired and she wanted to sleep but not when her boyfriend was being unreasonable.
sunghoon fucked up. he was a naturally possessive guy with his girl but he took it too far this time, and he knew that.
he groaned out a heavy sigh, taking his seat on the couch as he finally processed the fact that they’d just gone through an argument.

hours passed and y/n was still gone.
truth be told, she never went to her male friend’s place. of course not. they were close, but she wouldn’t dare to do that to sunghoon — no matter how pissed she was at him.
so instead, she slept over at ji-woo’s. more specifically, ji-woo’s and jake’s.
“you sure everything’s okay with you and sunghoon??” her friend questioned with a concerned look.
y/n’s lips pushed together into a firm line, showing that she was a little unsure about the answer herself. “i don’t know honestly… i can’t tell who’s in the right this time..” her head drooped down in guilt as she replayed the cruel words she said to him before leaving.
“it’s not your fault y/n, he was a little out of bounds this time but you guys should still talk it out.”
“yeah, it always works for my girl and i.” jake chimed in, flinging his arm around ji-woo.
y/n’s face scrunched in disgust — “ew.. well, you know that sunghoon’s pretty stubborn..” her eyes tilted up to look at her boyfriend’s best friend who was dating her friend. he let a gentle smile play on his lips as he only nodded in agreement.
“you are too, y/n…” ji-woo added on, giving slow rubs on her boyfriend’s hand.
“you’re not making the situation any better but thanks.. bitch.” she rolled her eyes before shaking her head, earning a gasp and a laugh from the couple in unison.
“i’m sure you guys will work it out soon,” the dimpled girl said, giving a light kiss on her boyfriend’s cheek afterward.
“ew you guys make me want to be single..” y/n replied, face still scrunched in disgust.
jake awkwardly laughed, holding onto his girlfriend as he heard her yell — “shut up! just go to sleep!”
the couple returned to their bedroom, leaving y/n behind before the loud voice of jake boomed out, “and check your phone y/n! sunghoon’s been blowing up mine so i’m sure he is for you too!”
the girl raised her brows, turning her head to her phone on do not disturb. she clicked the screen and found the device to be flooded with texts from various group chats, and him.
‘You okay?’
‘Did you really go to his place?’
‘Oh I just saw you’re with Ji-Woo and Jake. Did you get there safe?’
‘I’m sorry for taking it too far’
‘Please come home 🫂🫂’
‘Good night gorgeous, I miss you ❤️🩹’
y/n grumbled out a groan, debating on whether to text him back or leave him on read. before she could decide, she received a text from her friend’s group chat.
jungwon’s bae 🩶:
YOU BETTER TEXT HIM Y/N!
JI-WOO MAKE SURE SHE TEXTS HIM
hoon’s gf <3:
and what if i just leave him on read!
jungwon’s bae 🩶:

BITCH
Omg stop lying!
Where’s Ji-Woo???
hoon’s gf <3:
HAHAHA
she’s with jake so she’s most likely asleep!
as should all of us so good night losers!
y/n quickly shut her phone before she could get a response from them. she sighed in defeat, truthfully wishing she was in sunghoon’s arms as she remembered the fact that ji-woo and jake were most likely cuddling in the next room over.
‘i miss you’ she thought to herself, giving a soft pout as she reminisced when he’d be clingy and not want to let go through the night.
she gave another sigh as she picked up her phone, ignoring the texts received from the recent group chat as she responded back to sunghoon.
hoon’s gf <3:
i’m okay
we’ll talk soon, night
hoonie 🤍:
I miss you with me
y/n rolled her eyes as a grin started to show on her face without even realizing it. “whatever..” she mumbled to herself, not even giving a reply as she felt her heart thump out of her chest.
as the thoughts of her boyfriend lingered in her mind, so did the argument. they bickered time to time, but usually things worked out in the end. this time though seemed a little more different, but she was sure they’d make it through — just not right now.
. . • ☆ . ° .• °:. *₊ ° . ☆
a few days had gone by since their quarrel, and y/n remained to still be at ji-woo and jake’s place. she couldn’t face sunghoon just yet, knowing that he would most definitely still be petty about it. she would too though, which is why she avoided him for the time being.
bright shades of orange colored the sky as the day cracked on sunset. it was only ji-woo and y/n in the house — jake left to go drink with his friends, which included the rest of the enhypen members.
as the two girls were preparing dinner, a sudden ring call was made from ji-woo’s phone.
“hello??” she yelled out with an eyebrow raise — “jake?”
y/n slowly eased in on listening to the conversation without even realizing as she tried to mind her own business.
“what??? i can’t hear you jake! sunghoon??”
y/n’s head quickly shot up at the name. her boyfriend??
“y/n? oh, she’s right here.” ji-woo nudged the girl’s arm while uttering out, “jake said that sunghoon wants to talk to you.”
“what?”
“apparently you’re not picking up his calls and he’s kind of drunk so.. take it.” she gestured her hands closer to y/n. she sighed before taking the phone.
“hello?”
“y/n, that’s you right??” jake yelled out on the other side of the phone, his words being slightly slurred out.
“yes… why’d you ask for me? is sunghoon okay?” she mumbled, feeling a little uneasy in her tone. a few seconds passed and it was obvious that her friend’s boyfriend didn’t know how to respond back. “jake?? hello?”
she turned to ji-woo who was still focused on dinner, eyes laced with concern as she heard her call out her boyfriend’s name.
“y/n?? is that my gorgeous girl on my friend’s phone?” sunghoon’s voice suddenly slurred out. she heard him give a soft chuckle that sent butterflies to her stomach.
“hoon.. you’re drunk aren’t you?” she said with her brows furrowed.
it was like he could hear how upset she was as he replied, “just.. a little…….. sorry, angel.”
y/n scoffed a little, even though she felt her heart flutter at the nickname. “are you serious sunghoon?” the distress of hearing his drunken state got to her as she exhaled a heavy sigh.
“i’m sorry…”
almost immediately, the phone caught onto the shuffling movements of hands as hoon’s voice could no longer be heard.
“hoon???”
“sorry y/n, he was fighting for the phone to hear your voice. he’s kind of.. uhm sad but if you could just come though, it’d be great…” jake suddenly intervened. y/n caught hold that he took the phone as he gave a chuckle afterward — “oh! and bring my girl too, i think she might need me to drive me home.”
a few other voices mixed in the background that y/n couldn’t quite grasp onto — only for jake to talk in her ear again. “actually, could you bring min-su and dae too?? heeseung and jungwon are begging for them after hearing that you and ji-woo are coming.”
the girl on the end gave an exasperated sigh while rolling her eyes. “you guys just had to drink…” she mumbled before turning to her friend who was still chopping vegetables for dinner. “here ji-woo, ask your boyfriend for the location. we gotta pick them up.”
ji-woo’s face scrunched in confusion — “pick them up??”
“just take the phone and talk to your boyfriend.” she shoved her hand that had the phone to her friend before leaving to put her shoes on.
soon after, the girl in the kitchen hung up the call and approached the front door where y/n stood.
“apparently, they took your and hoon’s car so you have to drive it back when we get them. did you text min-su and dae?”
“just about to,” y/n responded. the two left out the door soon after gathering their necessities.
hoon’s gf <3:
the boys drank and they want us to pick them up
get ready @everyone
i’m with ji-woo so meet us there, min-su and dae!
hee’s fav 🤍:
what the fuck
i knew my hee was drunk
jungwon’s bae 🩶:
Omg!
No wonder Jungwon was drunk texting me
hoon’s gf <3:
LMAO just get ready 😭
minutes passed and the group had finally arrived to the scene of their boyfriends. min-su and dae came with their own cars after realizing the members carpooled in the vehicle owned by sunghoon and y/n, and another by sunoo.
they walked into the restaurant together with head shakes and heavy sighs to the sight of each boy in a drunken state. well, most but niki. the youngest was drinking lemon lime soda while giggling at how each member was acting.
“wow you guys actually came?” he snorted, downing another cup of the refreshing soda.
y/n shook her head in disappointment while searching for her boyfriend. she soon found him laying on jake’s shoulder, his arms clinging onto him as his cheeks flushed with a bright red. out of all of the members, it seemed like he was the most drunk.
jake softly shook the boy while mumbling — “hoon, your girlfriend is here.” the boy blinked his eyes before sitting up straight to see y/n in front of him.
“no, my girlfriend is mad at me. she wouldn’t ever want to come pick me up,” he sulkily said with a pout.
y/n softly smiled as she went closer to him, hands reaching for his hair to catch his attention. she let it run through the silk strands as his face scrunched together.
“oh! who is this pretty girl??” sunghoon mumbled, giving a bright eye smile as he grinned ear to ear.
her lips automatically curled into another smile as her eyes softened with love. “hey hoonie,” she mumbled only for him to hear.
it didn’t help though as he shouted, “HOONIE? is this really my girlfriend???” he flung his arms around her neck to pull her into a hug. his face plastered on a huge smile as he felt relieved to finally be in her presence again.
the name call that could be heard throughout the restaurant caused their friends to turn heads.
“uhm ew!” min-su yelled out as she held onto a stumbling and blushing heeseung.
“they’re making up, baby! leave them alone,” her boyfriend retracted back to her, leaving quiet giggles in the air as she tried to calm his asian glow down.
“they’re finally talking again,” jungwon chuckled with a head shake. “that’s a good thing huh babe?” he comforted his head closer to dae’s neck as he remained to be smiling.
“just keep resting wonie,” dae mumbled while petting his hair.
the drunken boy returned the hair pets as his hand went to dae’s curly hair, messily fluffing it as he beamed a smile. his dimples went on display while the younger male started to giggle from his act. he was more clingy than usual with the alcohol in his system but his sober boyfriend didn’t mind.
jake and ji-woo laughed together as his hands clung onto hers, forcefully intertwining as he planned to not let go of hers. the boy was drunk, he just wanted to be in his girlfriend’s arms.
“he was talking about you all night.” niki, the most sober one, snorted as he took a bite of his food. “seemed like he needed this more than any of us.”
y/n turned her head to niki — “did he really?”
“yeah, he was stressed about the fact that you guys fought.“
“you guys should really make up. i cant afford to drink alcohol every week.” jay retorted with a smile afterward.
the girl shook her head before responding — “well we’re here now so we’ll be taking our leave.” she softly patted her boyfriend’s arm, only to earn a head shake on her shoulders.
“let’s just stay here..” sunghoon beamed with a sloppy grin on his face.
y/n rolled her eyes — “okay we’re definitely going.”
“us too. come on, baby.” said min-su who was already dragging heeseung up on his feet.
the four couples stood up, each enhypen member propping themselves up on their partner as they felt the ground to be unsteady.
“will you guys be okay driving home?” y/n asked with her brows knitted together.
“us? yeah for sure, niki didn’t drink so he can drive us home.” sunoo responded while being slightly slurred with his words.
“you sure niki??”
“we’ll be fine, i’m a good driver.” niki said, giving a laughing scoff afterward.
y/n rolled her eyes before nodding her head. “okay fine, just.. drive safe please.”
the group sectioned themselves off — the couples going off in their own cars as the remaining three went in sunoo’s car with niki being their designated driver.
“you guys will be fine right??” y/n asked to her friends.
the three nodded in response. “of course we will, jungwon’s the drunk one, not me!” dae defended with a smile towards his boyfriend.
“hey!” won yelled.
his boyfriend shrieked out a laugh at his reaction. “i’m joking! i’m joking!”
“okay.. we’re leaving.” min-su hurriedly said with a disgusted expression.
“drive safe!” ji-woo shouted to the couple. “you guys be safe too!” she pointed at y/n and dae.
the two nodded before returning to their cars.
“let’s go home, sunghoon.” y/n softly murmured to him.
“don’t you mean hoonie???” he loudly questioned, eyes still squeezing shut with his shit eating grin.
she scoffed in a playful sense as she nudged his head. “shut up and close your eyes..,”
. . • ☆ . ° .• °:. *₊ ° . ☆
throughout the car ride, sunghoon honestly fell asleep while she drove. she didn’t mind it though. talking to him while he was in a drunken state wasn’t ideal so she kept quiet.
when the two had finally arrived home, his arm clung around her neck to stable himself. the apartment was quiet, almost empty as the burdened presence of her filled every cracks of each room.
“god, you’re really heavy.” y/n grumbled with a groan.
sunghoon let out quiet words that she couldn’t comprehend, so she excused it as they finally arrived to the bedroom.
she pushed herself off of him so he could forward into the cushioned bed. “finally,” she groaned out, back area in pain from his tall body towering over hers.
the bed was neatly done. her side of the bed was obviously untouched as she hadn’t been home in days. with her absence, hoon couldn’t have it in himself to take up the remaining space that was always for his girlfriend.
when his body finally hit the bed, he whined out a groan that emphasized how tired he was from the alcohol.
“good night hoonie..,” she softly mumbled, feeling her heart already give in just at the sight of him. she gave faint rubs on his hand as she admired how sleepy he looked.
everything from his facial features had her heart thrilled with a warming feeling to the gut. his hair was messily laid out, and his eyes were gently resting so easily. his clothes were softly scrunched and ruffled, baggy almost with how he landed onto the mattress.
after admiring how gorgeous he looked, y/n decided it was time to let the boy sleep — so she turned away from him, prepared to take leave from the room. she was honestly still mad at him, and wanted him to least be sober when they finally met after their argument. but he wasn’t, so she thought it best for her to spend the remaining night on the couch.
as she reached out for the door, she felt a sudden pulse of his hand kick in as it wrapped around her wrist. the tug shocked her.
the girl opened her mouth to speak but sunghoon had beat her to it — “don’t go.” he refused to let her leave as his grip became stronger. he was scared.
✩ ‘girl i don’t wanna go to bed (mad at you)’ ✩
her face contorted into confusion. “i thought you were asleep?”
“please don’t go,” he mumbled — ignoring her words as his brows scrunched together. “i want you here with me.”
✩ ‘and i don’t want you to go to bed (mad at me)’ ✩
y/n pressed her lips to form a line as she said, “go to sleep hoon.” she tugged her hand back and he let her, most likely from being a little too drunk to do anything else.
she wanted to stay with him and be in his warming arms, but they were still going through an argument. so she turned off the light and situated herself on the couch soon after.
it wasn’t comfortable, but at least she was home.
after a few more minutes of being on the phone, the girl drifted herself off to sleep. her back faced the open side of the couch as she knocked out.
when hours passed, a pair of arms had suddenly wrapped around her body and embraced her into a back hug. it was sunghoon. he groaned out a sigh of relief as he let his arms cling at the waist.
it had probably been a little past midnight when the male found himself next to an empty space on the bed. he frowned before finding his girlfriend on the couch.
his chin softly laid on top of her head from his height. the cold hands that belonged to him most definitely awoken her when she grumbled out a confused whine.
“hoon..?” her hand reached out to the back of her, finding its place in his hair as he gave a faint chuckle in the silence.
“told you not to go,” he mumbled next to her ear, sending shivers down her spine as his arms pulled her closer to his embrace.
✩ ‘but baby, can we make up now?’ ✩
“don’t sleep without me, it feels lonely.” his hands soon found its way to her hands, placing it over hers as he squeezed her tighter. “haven’t been able to sleep without you here.”
✩ ‘cause i can’t sleep through the pain’ ✩
his warm hold finally made her feel like she was at peace, like the empty feeling in the apartment simply vanished within the seconds they were together.
sunghoon lifted his head and removed one of his hands to move her hair that sprawled out on the pillow, placing a gentle kiss on her neck afterward. he breathed deeply on it before muzzling his head into her neck. he was home.
“hoon-“
✩ ‘we can fuss, and we can fight’ ✩
“i know you’re still mad at me and that’s okay, but can i just hold you like this? just for tonight? i’ve missed you..,” he whispered against her neck, voice trailing off at his last sentence with how weakened he felt. “will you let me?”
✩ ‘long as everything’s all right between us, before we go to sleep ’ ✩
the girl felt his grip get a little tighter, almost as if he was preparing for her to reject his request, but she didn’t. instead, her hands followed to where his were, which were between her waist and hips.
they overlapped and she rested hers on top of his, closing her fingers so she could reassure him back.
“of course, hold me every night” y/n croaked out.
she couldn’t see it but hoon’s lips were tugging on a smile. he moved a few hair strands out of her face before pushing his face closer to her neck.
she softly laughed at the touch, earning a low chuckle to be heard from him as well.
“that’s my gorgeous girl,” he mumbled in her ear again.
sunghoon let his arms hold onto her tighter as they both began to sleep in the presence of each other.
. . • ☆ . ° .• °:. *₊ ° . ☆
when the afternoon light peeked through their windows, y/n had been the first to awoken from the two as hoon was still knocked out from the alcohol.
the space on the couch was tight with how they slept but she didn’t mind. well, maybe she did a little but it wasn’t a big deal with how much she had missed him.
she had to get up though. it was her daily routine to do a big stretch right after she woke up, and possibly go to the bathroom for number one too. so she did. her body rose up and she just couldn’t help herself to simply admire the boy in front of her eyes.
the pretty boy was sound asleep with his clothes he wore from yesterday’s outing. “so handsome..” she uttered under her breath, eyes being glazed with captivation.
“am i that attractive?” he said as his inner corner of his lips curling.
y/n’s eyes widened with shock. “oh shit i didn’t know you were awake..”
“your staring woke me up.” his eyes fluttered open as he gave a half smile to her, hair messy and out of place.
“sorry.”
“i should be the one saying sorry,” he refuted.
“that’s sweet hoon, but i really gotta pee so please move, you’re blocking the whole sofa.” the man gave a wide chuckle at her words before moving his long legs aside. she rushed out to the bathroom to do her business, returning back to see him sitting up with his thick brows scrunched together.
“you wanna talk now or should we talk later?” y/n awkwardly asked with an eyebrow raise.
sunghoon gave another grin at her words. god, he was smitten for this girl. “let’s talk now because i want to apologize.” before he could continue on, he quickly placed a warm kiss on her forehead when she sat down beside him.
“hoon!”
“i haven’t kissed my girlfriend in days. what do you expect me not to do??” he gave a shrug to his shoulders that had her rolling her eyes.
“stop distracting me!” the girl said with a firm tone, trying to sound composed. her cheeks betrayed her though as they brought a warm color.
“do i distract you?”
“sunghoon- are we gonna talk or do i have to ignore you again?”
“okay okay fine,” he sighed at her words. “i’m sorry y/n. i was jealous and i admit that. he wasn’t close to you, but i just hated the way he couldn’t stop whispering things to you.”
she watched his face start to slightly frown at the remembrance of that night, and she only laughed at it.
“it was wrong for me to say all of that when we were arguing and i wish i didn’t. i’ll always protect you,” he added on. “i just.. can’t help it. i always get the protective urge to keep you safe.”
his head was drooped low in shame, and it caused y/n to cup his cheeks for him to face her. “you’re so cute hoon.” she placed a quick peck on the lips before she continued, “i know you’re a possessive guy and i’m okay with that. there are just certain times where it gets taken too far and it feels like it won’t impact well on our relationship.”
“i know.. but-“
“look, i love it when you’re jealous. it’s funny and hot at the same time, but you seriously have nothing to worry about. my friend was just whispering into my ear because it was loud and he was trying to tell me what he was gonna get for my cousin’s birthday.”
sunghoon’s lips formed into duck shaped lips as he quietly whispered, “oh..”
“you’re adorable, loser. i’m sorry too, i know you’re just being protective.” she grinned ear to ear as she planted another soft kiss onto his lips. as she prepared to pull away, she felt his hands on the back of her neck pull her in again.
his lips curled into a smile as she became slightly shocked with the sudden tug from him. hoon placed his hand on her chin, smiling even more as she finally got the chance to pull away with how distracted he got.
“god hoon!” a loud smack was sent to the arms.
“i missed being with my girlfriend, can’t i just kiss her!”
“geez we don’t talk for days and you become this clingy,” y/n said with an eye roll.
sunghoon gave a light grin as he rubbed his bruised arm. “only for you,” he mumbled with an eye smile.
“whatever.. let’s just go get lunch.” she stood from the couch and grabbed her boyfriend’s hands.
“what if i just want to stay home all day with you?”
“i’d love that but you drank a lot, so you need to eat something.”
a few more push and pull from the arms were made until sunghoon finally gave in.
the two went out for lunch and talked about what they did in their days apart. they were okay, and better than ever after getting through an argument. nothing could ever separate the two from each other.

could we get an update on coryo and reader in no body, no crime? like maybe during her pregnancy or after she gives birth?
Another painful smile is nudged onto your lips as you unwrap Clemensia’s gift. It’s all you’ve done the entire morning. Sit in the living room like a dutiful wife while pretending you don’t feel sick every time someone compliments you on how well pregnancy suits you or what a gorgeous couple the two of you are.
The baby shower is just another well-crafted punishment by him. Yet another way to flaunt his victory in your face. Remind you that you’re to be a prisoner and him the jailor for the rest of your life.
“That’s so thoughtful of you, Clemmie,” you chime wryly as you consider the music box. It portrays two lovers entwined, twirling whenever the golden key on the side is turned.
She beams at you.
“You’re welcome. I saw it and thought of you two and your beautiful love story.”
“Our beautiful love story…” you mumble, your fingers tightening to the point of pain around the woodens edges of the box. You grow dizzy. Clemensia continues cheerfully, unaware of your shift in mood, “You know Liv is boiling with rage right now. That’s why she didn’t come.” She giggles and bends over your shoulder to share, “She’s had her eye on Coriolanus since he came back walking and behaving all differently.”
“You’re the luckiest girl in all of Panem,” she elates, squeezing your hands in hers.
A wave of queasiness overtakes you, even worse than your bouts of morning nausea.
You bolt to your feet, the well of pretense running dry within you.
“If you’ll excuse me. I’m not feeling too well…”
“But we haven’t cut the cake yet,” Clemensia pouts.
“You can do it without me,” you answer evasively as you waddle away from her. It’s all you can manage these days. Waddle around the penthouse like a duck with how swollen your belly is.
“Sweetie…” your mother hails you as you make your way up the stairs.
“I need to pee, Ma,” you icily reply.
The smile dies on your mother’s face as you brush past her. Six months ago, this would have stirred your guilt. Not any longer. Your life is ruined and Ma welcomed the monster responsible into her arms like a son.
Your isolation to the bedroom upstairs is soon interrupted by your husband sneaking up behind you.
“Pregnancy looks good on you, princess,” he purrs as he wraps his arms around your midriff. His mouth grazes against your temple. “Everyone’s missing you at the party.”
“Well, I can only pretend this marriage isn’t a total farce for so long,” you reply, making no effort to conceal the visceral hate sizzling through you.
“Only because you’re being difficult,” Coriolanus points out softly, his large hands sweeping over your baby bump. “You don’t have to fight me at every step.”
You whirl abruptly.
“You took everything from me,” you hiss, irate tears welling up in your eyes. “My future-”
He gives a derisive snort. “I gave you a future. You really thought you had one with this pathetic wastrel?”
Your head grows hot with the insult. He has no right to mention him.
Your gaze narrows. “Even lying in the ground, he is more man than you’ll ever be, Coriolanus Snow.”
His blue eyes flare dangerously. His fingers cinch around your wrists, a wicked grin breaking out on his face. Your bones grind against one another as pain pulses through your wrists.
“Is he now? Do you want me to show you how much of a man I am?”
Your heart bounces as your husband drags you against your will and shoves you on the bed.
“Don’t,” you say squirming underneath him. There’s a disquieting emptiness in his blue gaze as he removes his belt and loops it around your hands to bind you to the headboard. A tragically familiar chill settles in your bones when he pulls his pants down and frees his hard cock.
“Since you’re so concerned about it…” your husband grunts, piercing your dry folds with his thick tip. His hand over your mouth stifles the scream building in your throat. He sinks inside you and your entire body comes alight with pain. Coriolanus plants tender kisses alongside your neck as he begins to move. The mattress squeaks with each of his sharp, brutal thrusts. “I’ll show you exactly how man I am, princess.”

Detective Business
kenji sato x reader words; 7009 synopsis; enemies to friends to lovers- she's a private investigator and he's just ultraman (but she doesn't know that). she also has to deal with that annoying pro baseball player who just won't leave her alone.
Trying to find the identity of Ultraman is no easy job for the Tokyo Investigative Department, but for her? It’s more than finding Ultraman, it's about also finally arresting Kenji Sato for his reckless driving on the highway.
Unfortunately, she’s also a reckless driver. Which is why Kenji Sato was folding his arms and frowning while she pulled out a pad of ticket paper from under her motorcycle’s seat. The rain was dripping on her helmet and Mr. Sato’s white shirt was getting soaked through.
“I just think I shouldn’t be getting a ticket, Officer.”
“I’m not an officer, I’m a private investigator under contract with the department. Don’t lump me with them.” She bites the pen cap off and starts writing a ticket for him clocking in at around 170 kilometers per hour.
“You don’t even have a radar detector, so the only way you know I was speeding is because you were too.” Kenji kicks off from the wall of the divider on the highway. He inspects her motorbike slowly, dragging fingers over the dashboard and the mirrors. The key in her ignition is black, with a small baseball keychain, he notes this and keeps it in mind.
She grins, “As I said, I’m not a policeman.” She lowers her voice a little, “My bike isn’t factory tuned like theirs are.”
He groans, upset at her for giving him the ticket. But also because she intrigued him more than most people did. MINA spoke into his helmet, reminding him about the Kaiju raging in Sendai. He shushes MINA’s comments.
She scoffs, assuming that the shush was for her. She shoves the ticket into his chest, accidentally soaking up some water that was drenching his t-shirt.
“If you want to fight the ticket, go to Courthouse 5 in Tokyo at 9 am on Wednesday. A representative from the department will have all my notes from this. And Mr. Sato, please drive safely, it’s raining. Hydroplaning is no joke.”
“I’ll drive safely if you drive safely, Officer.” He laced the title with some grittiness, the kind of tone that grinds her gears.
“I’m not an officer. I’m-”
“A private investigator, yes I know, you’ve told me three times before. Since you’re the only one who can actually clock me going above the speed limit.” He rolls his eyes, “Same time next week Officer?”
She sighs, putting the visor of her helmet down. When she gets onto her bike, kicking up the stand and revving her engine, Kenji teases her and blows an overdramatic kiss in her direction where she can clearly see it in her mirrors. She brings her hand up to throw him a middle finger, he earnestly returns the gesture.
The road is empty now, and she’s far enough away to not recognize Kenji using his willpower to morph into Ultraman, needing to get to Sendai soon according to MINA’s instructions.
MINA speaks into his audio system, “You really should listen to her. She’s smart. Safe driving is critical in the rain Ken.”
“MINA, I love you, but please shut up.”
She never liked arrogant people. Maybe because she was arrogant herself? But the real reason for arrogance is that it masks the reality behind the person, it’s a cover for something more futile and undeniably human. Arrogance acts like a shield holding back a person from revealing too much. For her, arrogance defended against her ideals. The world could be changed to be better. Peace is well within a grasp. That ideal, that dream of what the world could be is hidden and buried deep within her. To cover for it, arrogance does a great job biting into people she meets.
It’s a good thing her best friend was always there for her. Ito Yuuta, rookie of the year and a new addition to the Yomiuri Giants baseball team. He was one of the first round draft picks, immediately getting sweeped into the team. So there she sat with Yuuta, while he threw pitches in the baseball cage, her talking about his teammate with disdain.
Yuuta clocked in some high speeds, and was extremely sweaty. His shoulder was killing him, but practicing as often as possible was a new priority if he wanted to be utilized and get off the bench for this season.
“I don’t understand how you can play on a team with a guy like that.” She chews a piece of licorice, a guilty pleasure snack that she was addicted to. Yuuta steals a piece and sits next to her.
She’d met Kenji before, in circumstances where she wasn’t giving him a fine for speeding down highways. When her friend got scouted, she met the members of his team at a mixer. Kenji Sato just didn’t seem to play nicely with his teammates. When Yuuta had initially introduced himself, Kenji had given him a signed baseball card, saying something about how selling it would be worth something.
After hearing that story, which Yuuta laughed at and gladly embraced as a characteristic of Kenji’s behavioral traits, she just furrowed her eyebrows and puckered her face. It rubbed her the wrong way for someone to act like that. But she couldn’t control the roster of the Giants’ team.
“He’s a great player. You’re just too tied up in your whole ‘I’m a harbinger of justice and righteousness’ to see that there are people out there with the exact same personality as you.” Yuuta drinks some water and throws a sweaty towel on her, which she tosses back to him in disgust, “Come to a game, watch him play, maybe then you’ll join a fanclub other than mine.”
She clicks her tongue to her teeth, bouncing her knee in consideration. Yuuta let the whole Kenji Sato thing go, and instead just invited her to come watch him play in the most upcoming game.
He had her try to throw a ball, how to raise her leg just enough, bringing her arm and hand back just enough. While he was adjusting the length of her arm and the angling just so, none other than Kenji Sato walked into the baseball gym. He slinks over to the pitching cage and watches for a moment, the rookie member of his team sliding his hands over Kenji’s pretty private investigator. He just had to make a comment, right?
“You should move her hips a little to the left while you’re at it, Ito.” She jumps a little at his voice, dropping the ball. It rolled over to Kenji’s foot through the wire fencing around the cage, he reached down and picked it up from under the cage. Throwing the ball up a little, analyzing it. Ito accepts the help, and uses his hands to twist her hips just a smidge.
She couldn’t help it that she was ticklish. A brief laugh escapes her, and she chokes when she sees Kenji stare right at her. Except it wasn’t at her face, rather where Ito’s hands began to slide up to her waist to tickle her a little more. Kenji presses his lips into a line, tossing the ball over the cage.
Ito yells out a quick thanks and Kenji waves his hand while walking to the locker room.
She throws the ball that Kenji had returned to her. It clocked in at around 128 KPH. Yuuta lets out an approving hum in reaction to the speed of her fastball. She does a little spin and flexes her arms to show off her natural talent. It’s a good thing the locker room had TVs that showed camera footage from all the baseball cages. Kenji laughed at her silliness while he was watching on the screen, tightening his shoes.
A few days later, at the Tokyo Police Station, she’s getting briefed on the newest details of the Ultraman case. It’s all things she’s heard before, and they were no where closer to uncovering the true identity of Japan’s biggest hero. Biggest hero, her ass, more like the biggest vigilante who runs around fighting Kaiju and also destroying the structural integrity of Japan’s cities.
All the secretaries and computer techs loved Ultraman, all the mugs in the kitchen area were Ultraman themed to prove it.
She spins around in her chair, listening to the Head of the Detective Department drone on in his monotone voice.
“Which is why I’ve decided to reach out to the KDF in helping us.”
Now, that was something she did not like. The KDF were brutalistic, inhumane, and quasi-militaristic. It was like their organization ran on the idea of killing out the entire Kaiju race with no concern for the theories and realities that Kaiju could actually help the world. If only people actually did their research and showed patience with the dedicated scientists who worked tirelessly to find out more about Kaiju.
She would prefer Ultraman to the KDF anyday. Ultraman at least gave the Kaiju respect, and he always seemed to guide them in certain directions once he got them to the ocean. Almost as if he was releasing the beasts to their homeland.
“No way. The KDF are horrendous. They treat Kaiju like pests that need to be destroyed. Any sort of information they have on Ultraman’s identity is sure to be unethically obtained.” She raised her concerns, looking to her fellow coworkers for support in backing her statement. They just lowered their heads when faced with her stare.
“Miss. You’re just a private investigator, all you need to do for us is follow instructions and see where our leads take us. And, you’re one to talk about ethically obtaining evidence, we all know your little tricks.”
She bites her tongue, leaning back into her chair. She had three more months of working for the police and then she could go back to discovering cheating husbands and trailing drug cartels for the other government departments. At least when she was doing that she wasn’t at risk for getting crushed underfoot by a superhero or getting lasered by KDF robots and fighter pilots.
Her boss puts a hand on her shoulder, picking away a piece of lint before going back to the head of the table.
“You’ll meet with a KDF representative, take detailed notes, follow the trails you find, and then report back to me. Do you understand?”
She mumbles.
“What was that?”
“Yes, sir. I understand.”
That night, she had to put on dressy clothes for the dinner with her KDF intelligence personnel. On the phone with Yuuta, she’d gotten appraised when she slid on a tight black number, “Damn! I thought you only had jeans and black shirts in your closet. Maybe I’ll have to ask you on a real date and not just the baseball banquet in two months.”
She held her head in her hands, while her elbows rested on her desk, phone sat up against her water bottle. Yuuta put the back of his hand against his forehead, giving a playfully deep sigh as he got a view of her cleavage. She rolled her eyes at Yuuta’s behavior, but still felt slightly proud at her ability to clean up nicely.
“Bye Yuuta, I’ll text you later.”
He waves to the camera, holding up a peace sign before finally ending the call.
The restaurant is dimly lit, live jazz music ebbs and flows throughout the building. Tables have white and black cloth laid out, and there’s an overabundance of marble decor. The KDF employee couldn’t have been younger than forty, but the salt and pepper hair did add an appeal she didn’t expect.
He pulled out her chair for her, and had the waiter take her order first. She sipped some water, not wanting to feel buzzed at all from alcohol. He was nice enough, just making some small talk before they got into the real meat of why they were there.
“We have intel that the ‘Hero’ is likely a sporting figure. We’re leaning towards baseball, due to the popularity of the sport. Also, based on audio recordings, he spent time abroad, using a mixture of slang and an American accent to color his lived experiences.” He downs his beer when he finishes the bulk of his information.
She jots the main points down on her notepad. In between sips of water, and bites of her pasta dish, she finds herself quickly making trails and thinking of all the roads she could go down to find Ultraman. When all the information is expressed, she leans back in her chair, waiting for the waiter to come back so she could pay for her meal.
When twenty minutes elapse, she says she’ll go looking for their server so they can leave. He nods, finishing off his fish and chips.
Turning the corner, she bumps into a solid wall. Except, the solid wall lets out a short ouch. It’s Kenji. Despite trying to clearly cover something up, his suit only goes so high on his neck. There’s black and blue bruises canvassing his face and neck, she glances and sees that there’s marks on his hands as well.
“What happened to you?” She reaches out instinctively to touch his cheek where there’s a dark purple bloom from the peak of his cheekbone to right above his jawline. He whines when she makes contact, but eases up when her warm hands soothe the flow of blood beneath his skin.
“You should see the other guy.” He remarks. In response she just scoffs a little, dropping her hand even though he wishes she would’ve just kept it there.
Soon, the salt and pepper KDF member finds her, “Hey, you need to come back.” He waves his card in the air for a moment, letting her know she needed to pay. He motions for her to hurry and come, and Kenji feels appalled. She nods, but Kenji furrows his eyebrows.
“What kind of man makes his date pay?” His voice is scratchy, and only she can hear him.
She puts a hand on his chest, “It's not a date, it’s business.”
Kenji nods, letting his hand graze hers as it slides down his chest. What once was, no longer is.
When the much older man puts a hand on the small of her back, his jaw clenches reflexively. He twitches in pain when he realizes he pulls the muscles where he’d taken a massive hit from the most recent Kaiju attack. At least he’d managed to make the fight only last around thirty minutes. The quickest fight of the year.
His legs were crossed, bouncing his foot that rested on his knee. He used his chopsticks and prodded at his noodles. His private table was hidden in a nook, with a bamboo room divider separating him and the world. Appetite crushed and meal soggy, Kenji pursed his lips slightly. Contemplation could only last for so long.
Pushing his plate away from him, he leaves a stack of bills on the counter. Stalking away to steal one last glance of her. He saw her hair, the curve of her spine, and heard the click of her shoes as the entrance to the restaurant came to a close.
What kind of business did she have, and more importantly who was he to think about what she was doing? The whole internal monologue was getting tired quick, especially when his thoughts had become plagued with her. Everytime he dished his attitude out for her, she served it right back and with her own additions and special spices.
He’d need some sort of counseling. And soon. But did he really?
She was committed to following the outline of details that the KDF personnel had given her. But she just kept running into Kenji Sato and didn’t get anywhere far with her approach.
At first she had tried to study all the baseball teams that had the quickest reaction times to a Kaiju attack. Each time she attended another game, with her hoodie pulled over her head and hands in her pockets, she just saw people running all around trying to escape the stadiums. Not optimal when a person is trying to go towards the danger instead.
A man had narrowly clipped her shoulder, she kept pressing forwards to get to the field. The Kaiju was on the outskirts of the stadium. If Ultraman really was a baseball player he would’ve appeared in the field from where the players had been. Her line of reasoning was that going down to the field and having her camera ready was the optimal discovery technique.
“What are you doing? You need to get away from the Kaiju, not run toward it?” Kenji, still in his Giants uniform, grabbed her by the arm pulling her further away from the baseball diamond. The Kaiju began to stomp away from the stadium. She groaned, ripping her arm away from Kenji.
“Leave me be.” She tried to go toward the center of the field again.
“You have a death wish and I will not be granting it.” He thwarts her plans and gives her the keys to his motorbike when they get to the parking lot, the Kaiju’s roar rumbles lowly from a distance in the eastward direction. “Get on the bike. I swear to the gods, get on the bike.”
She turns the key, and starts the engine. Kenji goes back to the stadium, leaving her to try and track down all the players from the game today who had already left the stadium, maybe following one of them would lead to the Ultraman reveal. An hour later, the Kaiju was back in the water leaving Japan behind. Ultraman’s face and video footage rang through the screens in the streets. She tossed her camera in the air, annoyance clear on her face.
That was the third time that month that Kenji had done something like that, found her trying to go towards the danger instead of avoiding it, and each time he pushed her away and told her to leave.
It was starting to annoy her more and more intensely that she still couldn’t catch a baseball player turning into Ultraman. Why did there have to be so many baseball games, and why were there so many players on every team?
Yuuta had invited her to a practice match between the Giants and a team from Singapore that had flown in for the friendly. She obliged him, thinking that she could narrow down her list of baseball players better if a foreign team was playing as well. It was around mid-game, and she didn’t expect another Kaiju attack so soon after the last one. Alarms blared and the ground rumbled.
This Kaiju was dark green, scaly, and looked a lot like a water monitor, with fangs like a rattlesnake. The size of it was smaller than most, and it slithered around instead of standing. It lunged at one of the lights in the stadium, and she was shaking against her intentions to remain resolved.
She supposed now was as good a time as ever to see an Ultraman transformation. Except maybe, getting too close to the creature was a bad idea. Yuuta had screamed at her for getting to the field, but he couldn’t stand in and do anything when the tail of the Kaiju knocked her off her feet and she landed on her arm roughly.
Kicking off with her feet, she kept trying to backtrack, elbows bloody and pain shooting through her shoulder. Now she was worried for her life, especially when the Kaiju slinked around the dirt and grass, getting a little too close to the catcher’s area, where she sat. Dirt coated her clothes, and she felt iced into her position.
She closed her eyes for a second, preparing for the worst.
Ultraman always saves the day in the end. The snake-like monster was curling itself around the arm of Ultraman, he shook his arm but the lizard stayed firmly in place. He flung his arm, and to her shock, the snake flew away, Kaiju genetics and formation letting it slither in the air. The Kaiju made its way to the coastline, and the harm was successfully resolved.
The audio muffling voice was just human enough to remind her to come back to her senses. The voice and of course, a huge presence kneeling in front of her would bring anyone back.
His hand was the size of her whole body, maybe even bigger.
“Do you need medical attention?” Ultraman stuck out a finger and she pulled herself off the ground by leveraging her weight and the arm that she hadn’t landed on.
“No, probably just some regular first aid.” She lifts her head up to try and make eye contact, that could be another clue.
When there’s no movement from either of them for a moment, he stutters something out yet none of the words make any sense. Fainting when she sees the Kaiju come back might have been her stupidest biological instinct.
Yuuta sits by her bedside table, snoring. Rubbing her head, she turns on the TV to see what happened after she lost total consciousness.
Ultraman had picked her up and set her somewhere safe while fighting the beast, headlines declaring another day safe because of his intervention. As much as she wants, she can’t roll her eyes.
Maybe there’s more to a superhero than meets the eye.
“Well folks we have it here, the championship game. We have the Giants pitching first and the Pumas at bat. Pitching for the Giants is an upstarter by the name of Ito Yuuta, or as the new fans like to say, the Michelangelo of pitching. And I can’t say I disagree with them, I mean his form is so natural and smooth.” The other announcer elbows his companion in the stomach, “And for the Pumas we have American Clint Wilks ready to bat.”
She sits in her seat, the same one Yuuta had reserved for her so many times before. She has her camera filming her friend, his first pitch he wanted filmed in slow motion, and then the rest he wanted normal speed. Something about wanting tons of content for the promotional manager to work with at various angles. Her phone camera wasn’t the best, but she made it work. And Yuuta had always been satisfied with the videos she sent to him.
When the batter manages to skim the edge of Yuuta’s first pitch she groans a little. The ball was recovered quickly, but Yuuta wasn’t shaken up at all. His next two pitches were seamless, going straight to the catcher in the blink of an eye. She cheers.
Disconnecting from the game for a moment, she scrolls on her phone, she may have enjoyed baseball, but it was Yuuta she only really came for. Yuuta and Kenji that is. Her other camera, her private investigation camera laid safely in her backpack. Should another Kaiju attack happen today she might need an early retirement, especially considering how the last run in had altered her.
It had been a while since she had caught Kenji Sato late at night, ignoring the speed limits with an overwhelming sense of confidence and ability. Maybe the lesson had finally set in, the fifth ticket may have been overkill.
When she hears the announcers say that Ken Sato is out of commission for this championship game due to injury, her ears burn. Now this was a quick mystery that needed to be solved. She had seen him in the pit, yelling with his teammates and jeering at the opposing team. But he hadn’t been quite all there, like his brain was in another body and a robot had filled in for him. When the announcement had been made that Kenji wasn’t going to play, he excused himself and left his team. She noticed that he had been rubbing his arm with a grimace.
The locker room would hold all the answers to her questions she supposes. Yuuta wasn’t going to pitch again for the rest of the game, already knocking out so many strikes in one game. She remembered how Yuuta had told her to get to the additional secret door to the locker room.
Getting into the locker room was easy, seeing Kenji Sato in his current state of undress was the hard part.
She couldn’t say much but let out a small squeak to disclose her presence in the room. Kenji finished pulling up his grey sweatpants, and coughed into his elbow to diffuse any sort of discomfort.
“Uh, sorry. My bad.” She tapped her forearm, keeping her arms locked into a folded position.
“It’s, um, it’s all good. Ito’s still at the diamond, I’m the only one here right now…” He trailed off.
Seeing the full expanse of his injuries across his torso and chest, she feels her heart sink. He’d come up closer to her, shutting his locker and almost circling her to study her. Initially, upon her walking in, she had seen him scrutinize the various marks across his body. His entire length of his arm was purple, almost like it had been wrapped in a rope that had been tightened too many times.
“Is your current partner an abuser?” She bluntly asks.
Kenji’s eyes open wide, “No, I’m not dating anyone right now.”
It was her turn for her eyes to go wide, in addition to extreme heat tingeing her skin and sweat starting to build up. Her assumption was that of a hired sort of company making those marks then. Surveying her reaction, Kenji knows what her best guess may have come down to.
“I also don’t make a habit of hiring escorts. Or any sort of paid companionship.” He swallows thickly. All his attempts to mitigate the tension in the room had absolutely failed. He tries another angle, “I’m glad that you care enough to ask though.”
She laughs at that.
“I guess I do care at least a little. It’d be a shame if you died by hooker, especially since I’ve spent so many hours giving you tickets in an attempt to save your life.”
They settled into their dynamic. Friends, but not quite friendly. Kenji wouldn’t call them enemies either, not when he held her too close to his heart. But her barely concealed occasional animosity did harbor some sort of anger or hate toward him that he’d just have to brush that aside while he categorized their relationship.
Their dynamic was hued by an innate sense of connection, but layers of social conditioning and abrasiveness between the two had deemed their magnetism a fluke.
Maybe that’s why he asks her to come to the baseball banquet with him despite being half naked in the middle of the locker room.
“I’ve already told Yuuta I’d go with him.” She shifts her weight between her feet, trying to remain balanced in spite of the extreme uneasiness that ran through her.
“I got him a replacement date.”
Her eyebrow raised at his slight supplication, he continued, “Ito told me he’d tell you soon. Guess I beat him to the remark.”
The awkward chuckle he lets escape makes him wish that he was anywhere but here. He’d take a monstrous Kaiju wanting to bite his head off then be faced with a rejection like this. Would it even be considered a rejection? He just asked if she wanted to be his date to the championship banquet. He chews the inside of his mouth, it would definitely be a direct rejection if she said no.
The crowd roars and tells the both of them that the banquet will in fact be for the Giants winning and not a solemn affair telling everyone to prepare for the next season.
“Okay. I had already cleared my weekend for the banquet anyway.” She wrings her hands out, twisting and playing with each of her fingers.
“Sounds great. It should be fun, you know, since we just won.”
She turns to leave the locker room, before turning on her heel.
He finishes putting his relaxed Giants jersey on, slightly stunned to see her still in the locker room.
“I’ll need your number, so you can tell me what to wear.” She pauses, unsure of what else he’d need to inform her of.
“And so I can let you know when I’ll pick you up, and where to pick you up.” He starts listing off items, using his fingers to keep track.
“Yeah, all that stuff.”
He gets her number, sending a short ‘hi it’s ken’ text. She feels the pull to exit again. But has to let one last thing off her chest.
“I’m not calling you Ken. You’ll always be Kenji to me.” He pushes down a smile, but she continues her word salad that climbs out of her mouth without much censorship. “Too many tickets written out in your full first name for me to call you anything else.”
“We’ll go with that then, Officer.”
She sticks her tongue out at him before finally trekking out of the baseball changing room.
To- Officer Cutie 💎🌟 : i’m sending you a dress, this is your size right?
ATTACHMENT: 1 Image
To- KENJI SATO 🚨🏍️: How did you know my size? Also you know I can buy my own clothes for a banquet right?
To- Officer Cutie 💎🌟: lemme do my own thing
To- KENJI SATO 🚨🏍️: fine then mr. bossy pants
To be fair, the dress really was gorgeous. Silver with red detailing, although the slit wasn’t quite an expected feature of the dress, coming up to above her mid thigh. The straps of the dress had an almost pearl beading which contrasted nicely with the deep blood shade of the red throughout the dress.
“You know, if my date saw you she’d wonder why I was going with her and not you.” Yuuta teases, because he does genuinely feel excitement for who he was going with, a reporter by the name of Ami Wakita. She does a spin for Yuuta in her phone camera.
“I don’t know all the way though, the colors remind me of something I can’t quite put a finger on.”
She can see Yuuta grabbing his phone and searching on Google due to the angle of his forehead that she was now enduring. When Yuuta laughs, she knows she might be in for some sort of practical joke from Kenji.
Yuuta sends her a photo of Ultraman.
“Damn him to hell. We’re going with an Ultraman theme.” She drags her hand down her face in irritation.
The black Mercedes-Benz he drove to pick her up in was definitely an appreciated touch. He was wearing a silver suit with a red button up underneath. At least they matched really well.
The banquet looked expensive. It smelt expensive. It sounded expensive. With draping fabrics hanging off of tall columns in the cream and gold shades of the Giants logo and uniforms. The bouquets of dense floral scents carried throughout the event center, and the fresh scent of pastries and cooked steaks also added to the aromas floating around the air. Clinking glasses, clicks of heels, laughs that sounded like they were dripping in a blend of nepotism and celebrity status.
Kenji and her are at a table with some of the older members of the Giants team. Kenji isn’t amused with the questions they pester the pair of them with. She wittily responds to each glaring comment that had intended to poke deeper and deeper.
The speeches awarding the team and celebrating the momentous win aren’t bad, just bland. Each time a server comes around with glasses of wine, or champagne, or shots, she grabs one and starts sipping. Kenji sticks to just water and some glasses of juice. He mentions that he’s the one driving so he’d rather not get black out drunk. She chuckles sarcastically.
While they don’t talk to each other too much, he does keep a hand on her thigh or knee for most of the night. Which in turn may have been the cause for her to keep getting drinks.
Eventually, as to be expected, the banquet shifts from an event of elegance into a slight rager. Music transitions from classical to club style hip hop and R&B. She keeps nodding off, much to Kenji’s amusement. He couldn’t imagine accidentally falling asleep when the noises around the building were booming and thunderous.
They sit at the table, the only ones left not on the dance floor. Kenji doesn’t mind, especially with how she keeps nodding off and blinking her eyes to try and stay awake regardless of how the alcohol weighs her cognizance down.
“Hey, pretty girl, you keep falling asleep.” Kenji rubs her back, his fingers touching the bare skin exposed from the back of her dress. His hands aren’t cold, they’re far from it, a warmth blossoms from them, springing forth a desire to feel the heat wherever she has exposed skin.
Mumbling, she says something about his observational skills, a ‘Captain Obvious’ is thrown in there somewhere along a line of insults. She keeps trying to rub the sleep away with the back of her hand.
“Ready to go?” She shakes her head yes and lets him guide her out to his car.
It really was the only solution. She was already asleep in his car, and he didn’t know which key was the one that opened her apartment door.
“MINA, can you please change the temperature of my room to 68 degrees? Keep the pillows cold, but make the blankets warmer.”
MINA adjusts the requested temperatures. Kenji lets her take his bed, opting to sleep in one of the guest rooms in the Ultrabase. He sets out a pair of sweatpants and a sleeveless sleep shirt. He puts a hand on her leg, moving it so she’d wake up a little.
“Pajamas are here, I’ll be down the hall if you need anything. I got water and some pain relievers on your side table.” She murmurs in response, her face in the pillows. He puts a lid on the water cup, and turns off the light as he shuts his bedroom door.
She hardly recalls that she changed into the comfiest pajamas she’s ever worn, but she did remember drinking the whole glass of water and swallowing the pain pills. Waking up was surprisingly pleasant though, a perfect mixture of cold and warm coated her senses. She freezes for a moment, remembering how last night had unfurled. With her embarrassing herself by drinking way too much and getting sleepy probably much earlier than Kenji had expected.
A good private investigator would study and analyze each item in a person’s bedroom. An even better private investigator would do all that and make fun of what she could. That’s why she’s considered the best in the business.
The room is relatively bland, but pictures of a pink Kaiju stand out to her. It looks like a dragon, but it’s so adorable she had to stop herself from using her phone to take a picture of the Kaiju. There’s a family photo, and oh, his dad is Professor Sato? The Kaiju whisperer? That’s intriguing to her but she keeps lurking around.
Once she examines his room enough, she leaves the room and goes out to discover further.
The smell of fresh fruit and possibly waffles draws her out further and further from the hallway of bedrooms and bathrooms.
Kenji talks to MINA, asking for help in making the waffles actually edible and not burnt. MINA offers to cook them for him, but he says he can do it and wants to make them himself. MINA rereads the instructions for the waffle maker. He’s wearing plaid bottoms and a black tank top. She admires his arms for a moment before shaking herself out of the slight daze.
She keeps looking around. Until she finds something particularly interesting, she checks that she’s still out of his line of sight and she touches a few of the buttons on what looks like a computer keyboard. Except the buttons vary in shape and size instead of being uniform and sequential.
Falling back a little from the bright holograms she gasps. Kenji whips his head around and drops a spoon that had batter all over it onto the floor.
The holograms display various scenes of Ultraman, and Kenji. Of Kenji turning into Ultraman, of Ultraman transitioning back into Kenji. Of Kenji with the pink Kaiju, of Ultraman with the pink Kaiju. Of Kenji and his dad studying the Kaiju. Of Ultraman playing baseball with a huge bat. Of Kenji messing around with various Ultraman maneuvers and martial arts styles.
She turns her head to Kenji, now exposed from her perching site away from his view. He glances his eyes in all directions. He hiccups and laughs forcefully. He can’t even say a simple, let me explain. It’s just all too clear.
“Whoops?” She offers.
He pushed a bowl of fruit in her direction, she was sitting across from him at the dining table.
“No one can know.”
She keeps blinking and eating another piece of fruit as she processes the whole thing. Almost like a fish, she keeps opening her mouth but then closing it without ever saying a word. She downs a glass of orange juice that he gives her.
“So, you’re Ultraman.”
He shrugs.
“All those times I saw you bruised and injured? Ultraman?” She rubs her temple, trying to make sense of it all.
“For most of the time, yes. I did fall off my bike once.”
“I’m going to have to quit my job.” She deadpans. “If they knew that I knew, but didn’t tell them, I’d be hunted and killed.”
Kenji drops his fork that has a slice of mango on it.
“Not literally, but I’d definitely be tortured for what I know.” Finishing off her fruit, she lets out a deep exhale, and makes eye contact with Kenji. He taps on the table for a moment before exchanging her thoughts for his own.
“I hate to admit this, but that would literally be my worst nightmare because I unfortunately like you a lot.”
She suspends all sense of reality for a moment, also ignoring his confession to her, “Kaiju Island is real?” He nods. “I want to go and see it. I want to see the Kaiju.”
So they go and see the Kaiju.
When Kenji introduces her to Emi, a toddler Kaiju, she stands stunned but amazed at the mystical energy of it all. She considers dropping her career as a private investigator and instead studying a course in Kaiju Sciences. She sees a wide variety of other Kaiju, Kenji making sure she stays a safe distance away from anything that could potentially be too dangerous.
The whole day is spent asking and answering questions. From Ultraman to Kaiju, from KDF to Tokyo Metropolitan Police. He’s aware of what the KDF knows about him now, and he’s grateful to know where to start burying tracks for them.
The beach is pretty in the evening. The way pink and orange dance along the glimmering ocean waves. The way the sun hits Kenji’s eyes just right and makes them look like a vibrant purple. His black earrings almost turn into inky ebony gems.
“This is actually amazing.” She exhales the words she’s been holding in during the entire exposure to this alternate universe that coexists with hers.
He speaks without thinking, something he believes he really should start working on, “You’re amazing.”
“Even with all my sharpness?”
“That’s your whole appeal.” He leans in, giving just enough space for her to back out.
She doesn’t lean away. He dives in.
He doesn’t bother with any brushes of their lips, going straight for an open mouth exchange. She’s the one who grazes her tongue in his mouth first though, leaving him wanting more, needing more, an appetite needing to be satiated with her touch.
He’s leaving a path of heavy kisses over her face to her neck, sucking on the skin as he licks under her jaw. The way her skin tastes should be studied he muses, using his hands to pin her to the sandy bank by her waist. Her hands were too busy fiddling with his earrings and hair to let him pin her by the hands.
The hums he has in his throat make her want to hear what other sounds he can make. Maybe biting his bottom lip was her best option after all because as soon as her teeth came into contact with the puffy skin he shudders and it’s like music to her ears.
He has to lift himself up and off her, out of breath and panting heavily. He pulls her up with him once he’s sitting back down.
“I’ve wanted to kiss you since the first time you cussed me out for almost swerving into you when I was speeding.”
She pauses, letting him intertwine his fingers with hers, he sets the joined hands on his thigh, rubbing his thumb over the back of her hand in order to brush some sand off of her.
“That was a while ago.”
“Yeah, so now you know how long I’ve been waiting for this.”
She pushes his shoulder that was right up against hers. He recoils, and she thinks that he might be sore from fighting a Kaiju. So she goes to apologize when he stops her before she can get any words out.
“I think I deserve an apology kiss.”
“What a faker.”
She rolls her eyes but gives him another kiss.
The headlines the following weeks put the world into a tizzy.

What do you think Astarion and your oc would do for the holidays from traditions to gifts?
In my HC right now, My CP is traveling to find a cure.
_______
Life on the road was never easy, but winter's harsh conditions made travel nearly impossible. They rented a small house on the edge of a town to wait out the season.
Days blurred together as they remained mostly in bed, wrapped in each other’s arms, cherishing rare moments of uninterrupted intimacy.
Amaara, when the mood struck her, would weave delicate illusions to create seasonal decorations. Occasionally, she weaved playful roleplay scenarios, much to Astarion’s bemused delight.
On Winter Solstice, Amaara, raised in the traditions of the Elven court, insisted on observing the holiday. It was a sacred day of meditation and introspection—a time to reflect on the year and one’s place in the world.
Astarion, predictably, found the idea “mind-numbingly dull.”
“You’re wasting a perfectly good holiday,” he argued. “Embrace your human heritage. Feasts, indulgence, wine flowing like rivers—that’s the way to do it.”
The problem, of course, was that neither of them could cook and none of the stores were open. Their solution? A daring raid on the wealthiest household, from the ladder to the greenhouse. They successfully secured off-season vegetables, premium cured meats, fine cheese, and a bottle of exquisite wine.
In their small kitchen, he set to work with a knife, slicing everything with meticulous precision. By the time he was finished, Amaara was seated at the table.
“Can't believe I went stealing on Winter Solstice.” she murmured, raising an amused brow.
“I prefer to call it ‘reappropriating,’” Astarion replied with a dramatic flourish, pouring himself a glass of wine.
The fondue pot bubbled gently in the center of the table, filling the room with the rich, savory aroma of melted cheese. Astarion savored his wine as Amaara dipped slices of meat and vegetables into the pot, each bite bringing a contented smile to her face.
Later, she presented him with a custom-crafted cravat of blood-red silk, adorned with an intricate golden pin. The enchantment she’d imbued within it would keep him warm, no matter how harsh the winter cold.
Astarion, in turn, gifted her a finely crafted utility belt designed to hold more health potions—a necessity given how often she seemed to get hurt on their travels. As she explored its compartments, her fingers brushed against a folded parchment tucked away in one of the pouches. Unfolding it, she discovered a handwritten love letter penned in Elvish. His cursive was elegant, each stroke deliberate, showing the care he had put into his words.
They went to bed and she gave him his fill. For the rest of the night, they stayed entwined, the storm raging outside their sanctuary. In their quiet, private world, the holiday was celebrated with warmth and the comfort of simply being together.

james patrick march x reader

word count: 2.1k
notes: oh my god i need james so bad (also writes a fic about killing him) BUT ANYWAY. hes so baddie. everyone seems to be on the james brainrot and so am i so here ya go!
The rain was unrelenting that night, a downpour that blurred the city outside the towering windows of the Hotel Cortez. The air inside the suite was damp and heavy, clinging to your skin as if the walls themselves were aware of what you had learned. In the glow of the low lights, your gaze fell to the delicate silver bracelet around your wrist. The one he’d given you on your wedding night. You remembered his hands fastening it around you, a token of his love, he’d said. A lie. Like so much else.
Now, the image of her haunted you. The Countess. Ger otherworldly beauty, her crimson lips and ice-cold eyes. She had him now, stolen what had once belonged to you, and he had let her.
You turned at the sound of the door creaking open, his figure filling the doorway. James Patrick March, dressed to perfection as always, his tailored suit fitting like a second skin. He stepped in casually, his gaze finding you with slight amusement.
“My dearest,” he drawled, his voice smooth as dark silk. “You look positively… haunted.”
He knew. He knew, and he was reveling in it. Rage twisted within you, but you forced yourself to speak, each word measured. “Tell me, James…how long have you been with her?”
He sighed, stepping into the room with his hands folded behind his back, a picture of unbothered elegance. “My dear, whatever do you mean?”
“Don’t pretend with me,” you said sharply, fists clenching as you felt the weight of his betrayal pressing against your chest. “I found her scarf. I know it was hers, I could still smell her perfume on it. So, tell me…did you ever love me? Or was I just another acquisition, another project for you to mold to your liking?”
James’s smirk remained, though something darker sparked in his eyes. “Love, my dear? Is that what you seek from a man like me? Love is a fickle, fleeting thing. You should know better.”
You took a step toward him, anger drowning out the pain that had been clawing at your heart. “You made promises to me. You said I was yours, that we’d build this empire together. And yet, you lie to my face with that smirk, knowing you’ve betrayed me.”
His eyes narrowed, the smirk faltering for the briefest moment. “Do you think I am without loyalty, then? Is that what you believe?”
You scoffed, unable to hold back the bitterness that had been festering within you. “You are a man without morals, without loyalty to anyone but yourself. I have been loyal to you in every way. Devoted, loving, but it’s never enough for you, is it?”
James’s expression darkened. “Enough, my Darling,” he said, voice laced with a dangerous edge. “You think you know me, but you don’t. You’ve merely seen what I allow you to see. I am a man of…diverse needs, shall we say.”
Your heart shattered as you realized there was no regret in his eyes, no flicker of remorse for what he had done. “So I was nothing but another game to you,” you whispered, your voice trembling. “Just another thrill.”
James tilted his head, his smirk returning, infuriatingly smug. “Games, thrills, they are all part of life’s delicious banquet, my darling. And you. You are an essential course.”
Tears stung your eyes, but you refused to let them fall, not in front of him. “You are the very definition of a monster, James Patrick March.”
He chuckled, taking another step toward you, his voice a low, mocking murmur. “Perhaps, but that is why you married me, is it not? You, of all people, should appreciate the…darker appetites.”
You couldn’t bear it anymore. Every word, every cold, calculated sentence sent another wave of bitterness flooding through you. He was right. He had twisted you. Had woven his influence into the very fabric of your being until you could no longer imagine a life free from his shadow.
That was when the idea struck you.
It was the only way you’d ever be free from him, the only way to silence his laughter and those whispered promises that meant nothing. If he would haunt you forever, then you’d ensure that he did so from beyond the grave.
It was late, past midnight, when you met him again in the lavish suite, the room bathed in the flickering glow of firelight. The rain outside was still unceasing, a relentless rhythm that matched the pulsing of your heartbeat.
James was pouring himself a glass of bourbon, entirely oblivious to the weight of your gaze upon him. “Care for a drink, my darling?” he asked without looking up, his voice carrying that familiar trace of arrogance.
You approached him slowly, hands shaking as you concealed the small pistol within the folds of your dress. “No, thank you,” you replied, voice tight. “I’ve come for something else.”
He turned, his brow arching in mild interest as he took a sip of his drink. “Oh? And what might that be?”
The moment hung between you, and for a second, you felt the pang of doubt. But then his smirk returned, and you were reminded of all those empty promises, those lies that had bound you to him. You raised the pistol, your hand steady.
James’s eyes flickered with surprise, and he let out a low chuckle. “Is this a game, my darling? Are you playing the femme fatale?”
Your voice was barely above a whisper. “No, James. I am ending you.”
A flicker of something crossed his face—amusement, perhaps, mixed with disbelief. “You think you can be free of me?” he asked, his tone dripping with contempt. “That killing me would make you rid of my presence?”
But you were done listening, done letting him weave his darkness into your life. You pulled the trigger.
The shot rang out, echoing through the room as James’s body jerked, blood staining his crisp white shirt. His hand reached up, touching the wound, his expression shifting from disbelief to something almost…admiring. He staggered, collapsing against the wall before finally crumpling to the floor, his eyes still locked on you.
You watched, heart pounding as he breathed his last, the life draining from his gaze.
The rain was unyielding, its steady beat drumming against the windows as you stood over James’s lifeless body. The stillness of the room pressed in on you, and for the first time, there was a dreadful quiet that settled around you, almost mocking you. You’d finally done it, freed yourself from him. Or so you thought.
You took a trembling breath, your gaze locked on the man you had once loved, the man who had twisted your heart until it bled. His face, even in death, wore that maddening smirk. Cold dread crept over you, but you pushed it down, telling yourself that this was over. With him gone, you’d be free, finally able to move on.
Yet, the moment you left the suite, you could feel an unsettling weight in the air, an almost tangible sense of wrongness that clung to you. You shook it off, convincing yourself that it was merely the residue of a nightmarish decision. After all, how could a man like James be vanquished so easily?
Days passed, and the world outside the Cortez seemed brighter, the air lighter, everything seemed as though it were trying to convince you of your freedom. But you couldn’t shake the feeling that something was lurking, watching, waiting. In the late hours of the night, when the hotel grew silent, you’d catch yourself holding your breath, listening for sounds that weren’t there.
It began subtly, almost as though your own mind were playing tricks on you. First, it was the scent of his cologne, smoky, rich, unmistakably him. You’d smell it faintly in the halls, just a wisp that vanished as quickly as it came, and you’d shake it off as a phantom memory.
But then, his scent began to linger.
It would seep through your room late at night, filling the air, curling around you like a shroud. It was suffocating, stirring memories that you had tried to bury. His hand on your wrist, his laughter echoing in your mind. You’d wake in a cold sweat, the smell clinging to your sheets, fading only in the first light of dawn.
You told yourself it was guilt, remnants of his presence in your mind. But then, you began to hear his voice.
At first, it was nothing but a whisper, almost too faint to catch, so quiet you could dismiss it as the settling of the old hotel walls or a draft sweeping through the corridors. But the whispers grew louder, words twisting and forming from the darkness.
“Darling…”
The first time you heard it clearly, you froze, your breath caught in your chest as the single word echoed in the quiet of your suite. You searched the empty room, but it was only you, alone, your reflection staring back from the darkened window. “James?” you whispered, barely daring to breathe, your voice trembling. But there was no answer. Just the silence pressing down on you, thick and oppressive.
But the whispers didn’t stop. Each night, they grew clearer, his voice brushing against your ear like a cold breeze. “Did you think you could escape me?” it would murmur, soft and venomous, curling around you, poisoning every thought. “You are mine, my love. You always will be.”
The nights stretched on, and sleep became an elusive dream as his whispers seeped into your mind, filling the silence, never stopping. You’d catch yourself looking over your shoulder, waiting for him to appear from the shadows, certain that he was lurking just out of sight, watching with those cold, predatory eyes.
Then came the sightings.
It started with glimpses. Fleeting shadows in the corner of your eye, just a flicker that vanished before you could focus. But they began to linger, and you could see his silhouette in the mirrors, watching you from the shadows. His face would stare back at you in the reflection, his eyes filled with a dark amusement as if mocking your attempts to escape him. The first time you saw him fully, you screamed, spinning around to find the room empty. But every time you looked back at the mirror, there he was, his smirk taunting you.
“Did you truly think I’d leave so easily?” his voice echoed, seeming to seep from the walls themselves, surrounding you in every corner. “You’re a fool, my love. Death means nothing to a man like me.”
One night, the haunting reached a crescendo. You awoke to the sound of footsteps pacing around your bed, slow, deliberate. Your heart thundered as you lay frozen, listening to the familiar rhythm, a sound you’d known for years. You squeezed your eyes shut, willing it to be a nightmare. But the footsteps drew closer, and then you felt it. A cold hand brushing against your cheek, lingering just long enough to send an icy shiver down your spine.
Your eyes snapped open, and there he was, looming over you, his face pale and hollow, eyes glinting with that same cruel delight. His smile widened as he leaned closer, his breath chilling against your skin. “You thought you could kill me,” he whispered, his voice a cruel, mocking lullaby. “But I am a part of you, my darling. I will haunt you until the end of your days.”
You scrambled out of bed, backing away as he advanced, his form dissipating into shadows yet his presence filling every inch of the room. His laughter echoed around you, a dark, sinister melody that seemed to resonate within your very bones.
From that night on, he became your shadow, his voice filling your mind, his image lurking in every mirror, every dark corner. You’d hear him humming as you walked through the halls, feel his gaze prickling the back of your neck whenever you were alone. You could no longer escape him. He was there, always there, haunting you, reminding you of the darkness he’d woven into your soul.
And in the quietest hours of the night, as the hotel lay silent, you would sometimes feel his hand trace down your arm, his cold fingers pressing against your wrist, a cruel mockery of the warmth he had once feigned. You’d hear his voice in your ear, soft and possessive.
“You can’t run from me, my love. We are bound. Forever.”
And with every passing day, you felt yourself slipping further, dragged down into the darkness he had left behind, bound to him in death as you had been in life, his haunting presence being a constant reminder that there truly is no escape.

@inubaki i really hope you like this! i worked so hard on it for you! i'm not sure if it's good, but i tried something new with our adorable adam.
i'm not sure what to call this AU? maybe the love of hell?
the wonderful inubaki requested an AU where lucifer and lilith are trying to save the hellborn. they brought a booklet of Hellborns for everyone to look at, and adam is the only one interested.
i hope you don't mind me getting creative with this one too!
i tried something new. i hope it worked!
please enjoy!
The corridors of Heaven stretched before them like endless, glowing veins, each pulse of light casting intricate shadows against the walls. The air shimmered, thick with the weight of eternity, and yet Adam felt it heavy in his chest. His fingers fidgeted with the coarse fabric of his tunic, tugging at the loose threads of his oversized work gloves, the same ones he had worn since... well, since as long as he could remember. They felt more cumbersome than usual, each pull of the fabric a distraction from the churning storm inside him.
Beside him, Sera walked with a quiet grace, her wings folded tightly against her back, the golden feathers barely brushing the ground as she moved. Every so often, her gaze would flick to him, concern softening the usual brightness in her eyes.
“Adam,” she whispered, her voice like the soft hum of the wind through a garden of starlight. “I know you're nervous, anxious even. I can feel it. But there is no need to fear. I swear, neither Michael nor I will let anything happen to you.”
Adam's lips pressed into a thin line, his eyes avoiding hers as they focused on the ever-stretching horizon ahead. His heart raced, not from her words, but from the truth he couldn’t voice. He swallowed thickly, trying to untangle the knot in his throat.
“I know you’ll protect me,” he said, his voice strained, barely above a murmur. His hands trembled slightly, and his stomach twisted and coiled, like a serpent tightening around his spine.
“But it doesn’t stop… this.” He made a vague gesture to his chest. “I don’t understand why they want me here, why I need to be here.”
Sera sighed softly, a touch of weariness in the sound. “I don’t know either. I tried, Adam. I tried to make them understand that you have no part in the… relations between Heaven and Hell. But Hell was relentless. They demanded your presence repeatedly.”
Adam’s brow furrowed as he halted for a moment, his gaze dropping to the pristine floor beneath his feet. His troubled expression deepened, shadows darkening his usually gentle face.
“But they already have Eve.” His voice wavered, the words pulling at the fraying edges of his composure. “Surely one of us would be enough. Why me too?”
The silence between them thickened like a fog, the echo of his question lingering in the air. Sera paused, her wings ruffling slightly before she placed a hand on his shoulder, her touch warm, reassuring. Her fingers pressed gently; a promise unspoken.
“This meeting will be quick,” she murmured, her voice a balm against the storm raging within him. “I will make sure it doesn’t drag on longer than necessary.”
Adam nodded, though the motion felt sluggish, weighted. He could feel the inevitability of the situation, feel the invisible chains tightening around him, dragging him forward. There was no escape from this, no turning back. With a resigned sigh, he let go of his resistance, his heart still uneasy, but his feet moving forward once again.
Heaven’s light seemed less bright, more distant. And as the doorway to the meeting chamber loomed ahead, Adam couldn’t shake the feeling that whatever waited inside was far darker than anything he had faced before.
As Adam and Sera drew closer to the grand doors that separated light from darkness, his heart pounded with the weight of it all. The towering gates of polished crystal shimmered with a strange, ethereal glow, but to Adam, they seemed more like the bars of a cage. Beyond those doors lay the meeting place—the heart of the divide between Heaven and Hell, purity and sin, light and shadow.
His pulse quickened, each thud in his chest heavy and unrelenting, a silent question echoing in his mind: Why me?
He couldn't understand it. He doubted he ever would.
From the moment he and Eve had arrived in Heaven, life had been a maelstrom—a constant storm of confusion and chaos. Heaven, a place he had thought would be peaceful, had become a battleground of decisions and endless debates. Hardly any souls had reached Heaven anymore, and the reason was as twisted as it was tragic.
The Apple of Knowledge, the birth of Sin itself, had poisoned humanity so deeply that most souls were lost to the darkness. Hell was teeming with sinners, overwhelming its gates, and Heaven’s high angels had called for a desperate council. Both he and Eve were summoned.
Adam remembered how Eve had seethed with fury, her bitterness a powerful force. She carried resentment like a shroud, heavy and thick, her anger not just toward Lucifer and Lilith, but toward all those who had followed them into the abyss. Despite the distance that had grown between them, Adam and Eve had transformed their bond into something more like siblings—two souls forever tethered to one another. In a Heaven that felt more foreign than familiar, they only had each other to hold onto.
Eve was his best friend, and Adam was Eve’s best friend.
Adam had long since forgiven Eve. Her mistakes had once felt like a fracture between them, but now they were scars, healed but not forgotten. Eve had spent every moment since trying to make things right, as if each action was an attempt to cleanse herself of past regrets. Adam had witnessed it firsthand, and when the Archangels—Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, Uriel, and Sera—had called them to God’s crystalline throne room, it was Eve who had stepped forward. Her voice had been steady yet laced with the weight of her guilt.
“I will take responsibility for this,” she had declared, her gaze unwavering. “Just me. You only need one of us, right? So, I will take responsibility, not Adam.”
Adam had tried to intervene, to remind her that this was their shared burden. They were both part of the same story, both victims of the same fall. But Eve had refused, shaking her head with a sadness that cut deeper than her words.
“This is on me, Adam. I trusted Lucifer. I trusted Lilith. If I hadn’t… our children might have made it here.” She said softly, holding his hand tightly. “It was my fault we were kicked out of Eden. You’ve spent years afterward breaking your back for me and our children. You’ve taken care of me, made sure I can eat and sleep well.”
She looked him in the eye, her amber-gaze teary. “Please, let me take care of you this time.”
From that day, Eve had dedicated herself to a grim task. She trained with the other angels, sharpening her resolve, and spent endless hours sorting through human souls—deciding who was worthy of Heaven and who would be cast into Hell. She became the sword of judgment, her once gentle hands now hardened by the weight of her duty. Adam had tried to be there for her, but Eve kept him at a distance, sharing only fragments of her pain.
The time they spent together will be happy, she had decided.
Heaven had given Adam a different role. While Eve had the likes of Archangel Michael and Sera, God had created a new guardian for him, another Seraphim named Emily. Together, they took on responsibilities far removed from the harsh dealings between Heaven and Hell. Their tasks revolved around the Winners—those rare souls who had ascended—and the Heavenborns, along with the animals that roamed the clouds. While Eve battled the darkness, Adam’s life was filled with nurturing, guiding, and trying to find peace in his new purpose.
But the guilt gnawed at him, relentless. Every time he saw Eve return from another long day, her face drawn; her wings heavy with fatigue, it twisted inside him. She would always smile when she saw him, always pretended she wasn’t tired, wasn’t angry, wasn’t breaking apart beneath the weight of it all. But Adam could see it. He could feel it. She was drowning in a sea of fury and regret, and there was little he could do to help her.
Recently, Eve had been the one attending the delicate meetings between Heaven and Hell, where the fate of the Sinners was debated. Adam knew little of what happened there.
Emily had done her best to keep him distracted, filling his days with tending to the new arrivals in Heaven or caring for the creatures that frolicked through the clouds. It was a quiet life, but a distant one, far removed from the storm that brewed beneath Heaven’s perfect facade.
Now, as the doors to the meeting chamber loomed before him, Adam felt his stomach tighten. This time, he couldn’t escape. This time, Hell had called for him by name. He didn’t know why, didn’t understand what they wanted from him.
Eve had always been the one to handle these matters.
Besides, Adam had never been close to Lilith or Lucifer. Especially after Lilith had left him for Lucifer. Adam had never been favoured by either of them. He once thought he was close to both of them, he once thought Lucifer and Lilith loved him like he loved them. But that wasn't the case when they left him all alone...
When Eve came along, they both only wanted her…they had never asked for him, until now and to be perfectly honest, Adam had been all to happy to never see either of them again.
Why should they need me? His thoughts spun, a whirlwind of confusion and fear, the answers always out of reach. I don’t know a single thing about the Sinners.
Beside him, Sera’s gaze softened as her hand brushed his shoulder, a brief, fleeting touch to pull him from the storm of his thoughts and ground him in the present moment.
“You’re not alone, Adam,” she whispered, her voice warm like sunlight breaking through mist. “But we must face this.”
Adam swallowed, his throat tight, and looked up at her, his stomach twisting like a serpent coiling in on itself.
“Where… where’s Eve?” His voice trembled, barely more than a breath. “I-I thought she… I thought she’d be waiting for me.”
“She’s here,” Sera replied gently, the hint of a smile touching her lips, though there was a flicker of concern in her eyes.
Adam let out a shaky sigh of relief. For a moment, it felt like a weight had been lifted from his chest—Eve, his constant, his anchor, was there.
But then, Sera’s tone shifted, becoming cautious.
“Eve is already inside with Michael.” Her voice lowered, almost conspiratorial. “However, she is being a little… explosive.”
Adam blinked, his brow furrowing in confusion. Explosive?
Eve had always been passionate, fiery even, but that word felt… ominous. His gaze wandered back to the towering doors in front of them, and he shivered. He hadn’t noticed it before, but now, as his ears strained, he swore he heard a low, distant thump from within the room. It was faint but powerful, like the heartbeat of something vast and angry.
“Let’s just say…” Sera continued, her words soft and measured, “Eve is not very pleased that they are dragging you into this mess.”
“O-Oh…”
Adam’s hand instinctively reached for his tunic, his fingers picking at the seams nervously. The fabric seemed to grow heavier with each passing second. He wished Emily was there—her presence always had a way of calming him, of making the world seem a little less daunting. But despite her protests, both Michael and Sera had insisted that Emily remain behind.
His heart sank at the thought, and he shifted uneasily. It felt wrong, being here without her, without the one who had become his silent guardian. The room beyond those doors seemed to pulse with tension, a gathering storm of anger, judgment, and something more—something darker, and much more dangerous. And though he knew Eve was waiting inside, her protective rage directed at whatever forces had pulled him into this ordeal, Adam couldn’t shake the feeling that once they stepped through those doors, everything would change.
For better or worse, he didn’t know. But change was coming, and it was coming for him.
And with that, the grand doors began to part, revealing the shadowy divide between Heaven’s light and Hell’s darkness. Adam steeled himself for whatever awaited him on the other side, but deep down, he knew—nothing could have prepared him for the truth he was about to uncover.
Adam’s entire body trembled as the enormous, towering doors began to creak open, the sound reverberating through the vast, shadowy corridor like the growl of some ancient beast. His golden wings quivered, feathers rustling with a desperate, primal urge to flee—to turn around and escape before it was too late. It had been centuries since he had last seen either Lilith or Lucifer, and the mere thought of facing them again set his insides churning. He didn't want to see them. He didn't want to be here.
Sera stepped in front of him, shielding him as the gap between the doors widened, revealing the meeting place. Adam’s knees buckled slightly, his heart pounding so loud in his ears he could barely hear the world around him. His eyes narrowed as he squinted into the dimly lit expanse of the room. It was massive, rivaling the size of God’s throne room—the same room where the Archangels had summoned him and Eve all those years ago.
The room was a masterpiece of contrasts, split perfectly down the middle. One side radiated with an ethereal glow, its soft pillows of pure light glowing in shades of white and serene blue. The other half, however, was cloaked in darkness, its pillars of obsidian towering against the walls like sentinels, the space draped in shadows and rich, blood-red hues. Light and dark, Heaven and Hell, brought together in a strange, unsettling harmony.
In the center of the room was a long, crystalline table that seemed to shimmer in the strange half-light. The table itself was split just like the room, with one half composed of towering blue crystal, its surface adorned with halos that floated gently above the chairs. The other half was carved from red and black crystal, its seats crowned with devil horns that twisted ominously toward the ceiling.
Adam swallowed thickly; his throat dry as his skin prickled with the overwhelming sensation of multiple eyes upon him. He couldn’t bear to look up, his gaze remaining firmly fixed on the floor as he followed Sera into the room. At first, the air was thick with the sounds of angry voices—aggressive arguing, insults flying back and forth between the factions, the echoes of bitter sneers and mocking scoffs bouncing off the walls. But the moment Adam crossed the threshold, the bickering ceased. A thick, unnerving silence blanketed the room, and Adam’s wings shifted uncomfortably, struggling to stay still.
He felt exposed. Vulnerable. And all he wanted to do was hide.
Instinctively, he stepped closer to Sera, seeking some form of protection, no matter how futile it felt. Michael’s gaze swept over them, his expression unreadable as he nodded to Sera, who returned the gesture with a troubled glance, her eyes lingering on the shattered crystal in the centre of the table. Something had already gone wrong.
"A-Adam."
The voice was soft, almost gentle, but it made Adam’s entire body seize with a sharp tremor. He forced himself to glance up, only barely lifting his eyes toward the speaker. There, across the room, sat Lucifer.
The fallen Archangel was nearly unrecognizable. Gone were the divine robes of white, blue, and gold that Adam remembered so vividly from their time together in Eden. Instead, Lucifer now donned something far more twisted, more theatrical. A red-and-white striped vest clung to his form, paired with a white jacket and matching pants tucked into sleek black boots. His once glorious golden hair now shimmered beneath a bizarre top hat, a snake coiled around it like a crown, a ruby-red apple resting in the serpent’s grip, and a faintly glimmering golden crown threaded through the coils.
Adam couldn’t stop staring, even though he wanted to. Lucifer was so different, so alien compared to the being he had once known. His face was no longer the smooth, angelic visage of before; his cheeks were now stained a deep, unnatural blood-red, and his eyes—those eyes that had once been a striking, sapphire blue—were now a disturbing blend of molten gold and ruby, like the embers of a dying fire.
What unsettled Adam the most, though, was when Lucifer stood, revealing long, black claws where his hands should have been.
“Adam—”
“Shut up!” Eve’s voice cut through the air, sharp and cold as steel. The words echoed across the room like the crack of a whip. “Don’t even look at him!”
Lucifer’s expression twisted into a dark sneer, his eyes narrowing as he shot Eve a look so venomous that Adam recoiled. Was this truly the Archangel he had once admired? The being who had sung with the Heavens in glory? He felt bewildered, disoriented. And yet, despite the chaos of emotions raging inside him, Adam found himself easing just a little at the sight of Eve.
She was seated across from Lucifer, on the side of light, where Heaven’s shimmering blue throne towered next to Michael. Eve sat beside the Archangel, her face a mask of cold fury. Her arms were crossed tightly, fingers tapping aggressively against the armrests of her seat. Her red hair, now pulled back into a severe ponytail, gleamed like fire beneath the soft light, and she wore something Adam had never seen before—a uniform, battle-worn yet sharp, and utterly unlike her usual appearance.
The silver armor clung to her form, a strange fusion of elegance and brutality. A thigh-length dress of shining metal, black tights beneath, with long, silver gloves that reached her upper arms. Her boots rose high above her thighs, matching the cuirass that protected her chest, the plackart at her waist. Every piece of her armor—spauldron, vambrace, gorget—was perfectly placed, ready for war.
Adam paused, his feet faltering as his gaze fell on the helmet resting on the table beside her. It was monstrous, with twisting horns that spiraled out on either side, a grotesque contrast to the purity of Heaven’s light.
Does she… wear that?
The thought chilled him. Eve had changed so much since they’d first arrived. The woman in front of him looked nothing like the gentle soul who had once wandered the Garden of Eden at his side.
The air was thick with tension, and Adam felt utterly out of place, an intruder in this grand hall of angels and devils. He swallowed hard, resisting the urge to turn and flee, but he couldn’t shake the sense that something far greater than him was unfolding—and he was caught in the middle of it.
“Come now, Eve,” a voice interjected, its tone airy yet laced with an edge of smugness. It carried the chill of winter’s breath, sharp and penetrating. “We’re all friends here.”
“Friends?” Eve’s voice dripped with contempt as she turned her furious gaze toward the speaker. “Is that what you call the people you backstab?”
Adam blinked, feeling a strange mixture of awkwardness and curiosity as he slowly approached Eve, careful to keep his distance from the imposing figures in the room. He tilted his head slightly, trying to focus on Lilith, whose presence seemed more familiar and grounded compared to Lucifer's nightmarish transformation.
Lilith sat on the side of darkness, but she retained a striking, almost ethereal beauty. Her long golden hair cascaded down her back like a flowing waterfall of sunlight, pushed back elegantly from her face, with curls framing her delicate features. Her face, pointed and regal, was accentuated by long, thick eyelashes that Adam remembered from days long past.
A black rose crown adorned her head, its dark petals contrasting sharply with the blood-red horns that emerged from beneath it. Her figure was both delicate and imposing—a small waist paired with a substantial chest, draped in a deep purple and black dress that shimmered with an otherworldly magic. Around her neck, a strand of pure white pearls gleamed softly, catching the light as if it were a fragment of Heaven itself.
Adam found himself frowning slightly as he took in Lilith’s appearance. She was undeniably beautiful, but there was a coldness in her gaze that mirrored the icy sharpness of her voice. Despite her outward grace, there was a stark, unyielding edge to her presence that set Adam on edge.
“Isn’t it charming,” Lilith continued, her voice dripping with false warmth, “How old friends can come together under such… delightful circumstances?”
Adam’s stomach churned. The air in the room seemed to thicken with each passing second, a palpable tension that pressed against him from all sides. He glanced back at Eve, whose anger was barely contained, and then at Lucifer, whose gaze was fixed on him.
He tried to swallow the rising lump in his throat as he took another hesitant step toward Eve. The room felt like a stage, each figure poised in their roles for some grand, unspoken performance, and Adam was caught during it, struggling to understand his place.
Eve's eyes met Adam’s, her fury momentarily softening as she recognized his troubled gaze. For a moment, her expression seemed to convey a silent apology—an acknowledgment of the chaos that had ensnared him in this grim theatre of light and darkness. But the anger was still there, simmering just below the surface, ready to boil over at any moment.
Adam took a deep breath, trying to steady his nerves. He wished desperately for Emily’s comforting presence, but all he had now were his own frazzled thoughts and the looming, unforgiving gaze of those who held the power to determine his fate. He had to face whatever this meeting demanded of him, and he could only hope that the strength he found in his past with Eve would help him navigate the treacherous waters of this new confrontation.
Lilith’s eyes sparkled with malicious amusement as she continued to needle Eve, her voice a cold, serpentine whisper.
“Eve,” she said, her tone dripping with feigned sympathy, “It’s so touching to see you trying so hard. But let’s be honest, you’re nothing more than a replacement. You could never truly fill the shoes of someone as... exceptional as I once was.”
“Replacement?” she snapped, her voice echoing like a thunderclap. “You think you’re so special, don’t you? You’re nothing but the defective prototype. A product used to test and validate design concepts, functionality, and usability. Prototyping helps identify potential issues and make improvements before committing to full-scale production or implementation. This approach is common in fields like engineering, product design, software development, and more.”
“You are nothing but a bootleg version of a real woman. You could never compare to what I’ve become.” Eve added smugly.
Lilith’s lips curved into a cruel smile, her eyes glinting with amusement as if she were watching a child’s tantrum.
“Oh, Eve,” she said mockingly, “How quaint. Your anger is almost endearing. But really, you were never meant to replace me. You’re merely a poor imitation, struggling to keep up with a legacy you can never truly grasp.”
Eve’s face was flushed with rage, her body trembling with the effort to contain her fury. “You think you’re so high and mighty, don’t you? I’ve seen your so-called ‘legacy,’ Lilith. You’re nothing but a pretentious farce, a pale shadow of what true strength and integrity look like. Your power is nothing compared to the strength I’ve earned.”
Lilith’s smile widened, her amusement growing as Eve’s anger boiled over.
“You’re so precious when you’re angry,” she cooed, her voice dripping with condescension. “But don’t you understand? You’ll never truly be anything more than a mere stand-in. I was the original, the genuine article. You’re just a cheap imitation, trying too hard to fill a role you were never meant for.”
Eve’s rage reached a fever pitch, her fists clenching at her sides. “You know what, Lilith? You’re just a failed experiment. You were cast aside for a reason. No amount of posturing can change that.”
Adam winced as he watched the exchange, the hostility between the two women escalating with each cutting remark. He could see the toll it was taking on Eve, her anger spiralling out of control, while Lilith seemed to find the entire situation nothing more than a game.
Then, with a swift, venomous glance, Eve delivered a final, cutting comment. “You’re nasty inside and outside. You were never pure enough for Adam. Look at what happened when an Archangel gave you the time of day, you stained him. I can’t imagine what you would have done to Adam.”
“It’s a good thing your poisonous venom didn’t touch Adam. You don’t deserve his love or friendship. You never did.”
The room fell silent, the words hanging heavy in the air. Lilith’s eyes flashed with a pained, hurt expression, a fleeting glimpse of vulnerability beneath her icy exterior. It was clear that Eve had struck a nerve.
Adam’s heart pounded as he saw the reaction. He wanted to intervene, to stop the confrontation before it spiralled further, but his voice came out as a barely audible whisper.
“Eve, please… stop.”
Unfortunately, his soft plea did not go unnoticed. Both Lucifer and Lilith’s eyes turned to Adam, their expressions shifting to one of twisted delight. Lucifer’s lips curled into a smirk, while Lilith’s gaze hardened with a mix of surprise and contempt. She seemed even pleased that Adam had stuck up for her.
Eve’s eyes narrowed at Adam’s intervention; her anger now directed at him. She glared at Lilith still fiercely, her grip tightening around his wrist. Without waiting for a response, she tugged him toward the large, ornate chair next to her, forcing him to sit down beside her.
Adam’s heart raced as he sat next to Eve, feeling the weight of Lilith’s and Lucifer’s gaze upon him. He could sense the shift in the room’s dynamics, the undercurrents of tension and hostility that seemed to press in from all sides.
Eve’s grip on his wrist was unyielding, her anger simmering just beneath the surface. Adam tried to catch her eye, hoping to convey a silent plea for calm, but her focus was locked on Lilith and Lucifer, her rage barely contained.
The room was charged with an electric tension, the air thick with the remnants of the argument. Adam knew that whatever came next would be pivotal, and he could only hope that the storm of emotions would pass quickly, leaving them with some semblance of peace—or at least, a path forward.
Michael cleared his throat with an almost comical sense of formality, his wings fluttering with confusion and agitation. His brows furrowed as he glanced between Eve, who was still seething, and Lilith, who appeared to be reveling in the discord. The celestial presence seemed out of place amid the chaos, like a child witnessing a tempest.
Lucifer, ever observant, caught Michael’s disoriented demeanor with evident glee.
“Oh, Michael,” he drawled, his voice dripping with mockery. “Still the same old doll, aren’t you? Always caught in a whirlwind of emotions you barely understand.”
Michael’s face flushed with irritation at the insinuation, but he remained silent, his wings flickering in agitation. The jibe from Lucifer had struck a nerve, and his irritation was palpable.
Sera, sensing the tension threatening to boil over into another confrontation, stepped in with a measured tone.
“Enough of this bickering,” she interjected firmly. “We’re here to address the matter at hand. We have conceded to the demands and brought Adam into this meeting.”
Lucifer and Lilith’s attention shifted sharply to Adam, their gazes piercing through him like a spotlight.
Unable to contain his frustration, Adam made a sassy comment. “I still don’t see why I’m needed here. Hell, and the Sinners have never been my responsibility.”
Lucifer and Lilith exchanged a look, their eyes communicating silently in a way that left everyone else feeling excluded. The moment of telepathic conversation was both irritating and intriguing to those who observed it.
Lucifer turned his attention back to Michael and Sera, his tone laced with a sense of bemused superiority. “Is Adam even aware of what you’ve decided to do?”
Michael frowned; his confusion evident. “Like Adam has mentioned, he doesn’t have any duties with Hell.”
Lucifer’s eyes narrowed as he scoffed. “Of course, neither of you told him. You knew he would oppose it, so why not keep him in the dark?”
Sera, her anxiety becoming more pronounced, intervened again. “That’s enough, Lucifer. What exactly do you want, and why is it so important for Adam to be here?”
Eve, unable to hold back her bitterness, interjected sharply. “It’s no a secret that you both abandoned Adam in Eden, leaving him alone, breaking your promises. Now, you want to drag him into your little game?”
Lilith’s eyes flashed with anger as she glared at Eve. “You don’t know what you’re talking about, Eve. It would do you well to keep your mouth shut.”
Eve’s laugh was bitter, a sharp, mocking sound that cut through the tension. “Oh, the truth hurts, doesn’t it? But don’t worry, while you both left, Adam was made a better companion than either of you ever were.”
Lucifer rolled his eyes, his disdain apparent. “More of a step down, actually.”
Eve’s growl was low and dangerous. Before she could rise from her seat to confront Lucifer, Adam’s hand shot out, grasping her wrist firmly. The gesture was both a plea for calm and an attempt to diffuse the situation.
Lucifer and Lilith’s expressions shifted to one of surprise and displeasure at Adam’s intervention. Eve, however, grinned with a mixture of satisfaction and delight, her anger momentarily forgotten in the face of this new development.
Adam drew a deep, steadying breath, feeling the weight of past betrayals and heartbreak pressing down on him as he finally turned his gaze toward Lucifer and Lilith. The pain of old wounds resurfaced, bringing with it a rush of memories that he had buried deep within.
In the beginning, there had been just the two of them: Adam and Lucifer. Lucifer had been more than an Archangel to Adam; he had been a guardian, a friend, a constant presence in his life. Their bond had been unbreakable, a companionship so profound that Adam had felt invincible in its embrace. They had shared countless moments, their bond seemingly unshakeable, until Lilith had been introduced to the Garden.
Adam remembered the day Lilith had come into their lives. It had been a confusing but exhilarating change—he now had two friends, two beings who cared for him. They had all been so close, a trio united in the innocence of their existence. Adam, though he lacked understanding of complex concepts like husband and wife or breeding, was simply overjoyed to be in their company. He felt complete, surrounded by the warmth and companionship of his two dearest friends.
But then, one fateful morning, Adam had awakened to an unbearable silence. Lucifer and Lilith were gone. The emptiness that enveloped him was unlike anything he had ever experienced. He had spent countless days and sleepless nights searching for them, his heart aching with a pain he had no words for. They had vanished without a trace, leaving him alone in the Garden, grappling with an anguish that seemed to rend his very soul.
The arrival of Sera from Heaven had marked the beginning of a tumultuous period. Heaven had learned the truth of Lucifer and Lilith's departure—how they had left Eden to be together, abandoning Adam without a word. The revelation had thrown everything into chaos. Adam had been bewildered, struggling to understand why his friends had betrayed him so profoundly.
When Lucifer and Lilith had returned to Eden, their attempts to reconcile only deepened the wound. Adam, unable to bear the sight of them, had fled time and again, overwhelmed by the pain of their betrayal. The Angels, witnessing the turmoil, had intervened, and Lucifer and Lilith were ultimately banished from the Garden. In their absence, Eve was created as Adam’s new companion.
But even then, peace had been elusive. Lucifer and Lilith, defiant and unrepentant, had sneaked back into the Garden, this time targeting Eve. They had tricked her into eating the forbidden apple, setting off a chain of events that would forever alter the course of history. The betrayal had been complete, their actions leaving a scar that Adam would carry with him forever.
Swallowing thickly, Adam’s golden gaze fixed upon the crystalline table, its multifaceted surface reflecting fragments of his troubled thoughts. His heart pounded so fiercely that it seemed to reverberate through his skull, a relentless drumbeat of anxiety and confusion. Slowly, he gathered the courage to look up at his old friends once more.
“What…what do you want?” Adam’s voice trembled, the words escaping his lips with a mixture of fear and frustration. “Why did you ask to see me?”
Lilith’s gaze softened for the first time since Adam had entered the grand hall. Her eyes, once sharp and mocking, now held a glimmer of something akin to regret. It was as if she were struggling to reconcile the figure before her with the person she once knew. She took a tentative step forward, her expression laden with a hint of vulnerability.
“Adam,” she began, her voice carrying a note of earnestness that seemed foreign coming from her. “We’ve honestly been requesting your presence from the very first meeting.”
Adam blinked, taken aback by her admission. “What? Why? I-I don’t know what you expect me to do…but I’m telling you now; I can’t help with anything.”
Lilith’s eyes softened as she stepped forward, her gaze filled with a tenderness that seemed almost out of place in the grand hall. Her voice, usually sharp and commanding, took on a gentler tone. “Adam, it’s not about what you can or cannot do. It’s about addressing what was left unresolved between us. There are things we need to settle, and it goes beyond mere duties.”
Lucifer, leaning back in his throne with a more approachable air than before, looked at Adam with a soft, almost paternal smile. “You see, Adam, it’s not just about asking for your help. It’s about closure and reconciliation, and perhaps a bit of… introspection. We’ve been carrying this weight for too long, and it’s something we want to resolve with you.”
Adam’s confusion deepened, mingling with a growing sense of anger. “Closure? Reconciliation?”
Lilith’s expression grew earnest, her eyes reflecting a mixture of remorse and hope. “We made mistakes, Adam. Terrible ones. But we’ve come to realize that there’s something that needs to be settled. It’s not just about what happened in the past, but what we might be able to do moving forward. We want to make amends.”
Eve, who had been watching with simmering rage, scoffed derisively. “Oh, so now you think a few sweet words will make up for abandoning Adam and all the chaos that followed. Don’t be naïve.”
Lilith’s gaze hardened as she shot a sharp look towards Eve, her patience wearing thin. “Eve, you’re quick to judge from the sidelines. We’re here to address what’s unresolved, not to engage in petty arguments.”
Lucifer, his tone slightly mocking but with a hint of warmth towards Adam, interjected. “Let’s not get too carried away with sentiments and accusations. The fact remains that Adam’s presence was deemed necessary. His role in this situation is far from over.”
Adam’s frustration flared. “My role? I’ve had nothing to do with Hell or its sinners. I’ve tried to move on, to build something new. I don’t see why I should be dragged back into this.”
Lucifer and Lilith exchanged a knowing glance, their silent communication fraught with meaning. It was clear to everyone that there was more to their intentions than met the eye, and their cryptic expressions left the room’s atmosphere thick with unresolved tension.
Sera, sensing the rising storm, stepped forward with a voice that cut through the murmur of discontent. “Enough of this. We need to address the matter at hand. Lucifer, Lilith—what exactly do you want from Adam? What is this about?”
Lucifer’s smirk softened, his eyes shimmering with a mix of sincerity and mischief. “What we seek is to resolve the past and perhaps find a way to move forward. It’s about understanding the full scope of what has transpired and finding a path to healing.”
Lilith, her gaze unwaveringly on Adam, added with a touch of earnestness, “We want to make amends and see if there’s any way to repair the damage that was done. It’s a complex task, but one we believe is necessary.”
Adam’s heart sank as the gravity of their request settled in. “I...I don’t know if that’s even possible.”
Eve, still seething, let out a harsh laugh. “Repairing damage? That’s rich. After everything you two did, Adam deserves more than empty words. He deserves something real.”
The room seemed to close in on Adam as he grappled with the weight of their request. The past's betrayals and the present's uncertainties pressed heavily on him. He clung to Eve’s hand, seeking solace in her presence amidst the unfolding chaos.
Lucifer’s golden eyes darkened, not liking how Adam reached for Eve. However, he sucked up and spoke as calmly and gently as possible. "Tell me, Adam, do you know what Heaven has decided to do about Hell's... overcrowding problem?"
Adam blinked, his brow furrowing. "No. I don’t."
His confusion was clear, and he looked toward Eve and Sera, as if expecting some clarification.
Lilith’s lips curved into a bitter smile. "Of course you don’t. They thought it best to keep you in the dark, too."
Her eyes flicked to Sera, who looked like she wanted to intervene, her wings rustling in nervousness.
Sera’s voice tightened as she stepped forward. "That’s not true—"
But Lilith ignored her, her focus on Adam. "Do you know why Eve is dressed like that?"
Adam’s gaze shifted to Eve, his confusion deepening. He looked at the glinting armour she wore, his eyebrows knitting together as he finally asked, "Why does it look like you’re... going to war?"
Eve flushed, her eyes darting away. She couldn’t find the words, and Lucifer, noticing her discomfort, let out a low snort.
"What’s wrong, Eve? Cat got your tongue?" His tone was mocking but still laced with amusement.
Eve shot him a furious glare, but before she could snap back, Adam held up a hand, turning back to Lucifer. "Explain it to me. What’s going on?"
Lucifer’s expression softened, his voice taking on a more tender tone as he began, “Heaven has—”
“No,” Michael interrupted sharply, stepping forward, his face hard and his wings flickering with agitation. "Lucifer has no right to explain anything to you, Adam. Not anymore."
Lucifer's eyes darkened with annoyance, but there was a touch of a smile lingering at the corners of his lips as he responded.
"Like it or not, Michael, I am and always will be Adam’s guardian angel. That was God’s decision, not yours." The weight of his words hung in the air; a challenge Michael couldn’t easily dispute. "If he wants me to explain anything to him, I have the right to furfill that request."
Michael’s expression soured, but he said nothing more, only a frown creasing his usually stoic face. Adam, feeling the tension between them, grew more confused. He glanced back at Lucifer, waiting for an answer.
Lucifer’s gaze softened even further as he returned his attention to Adam. "Heaven has decided to exterminate the Sinners once a year. A purge, if you will."
Adam’s eyes widened in shock. "What?" His gaze darted to Eve, his voice trembling. "Is that why you're dressed like this?"
Eve looked pained; her face flushed with guilt. "Adam, Hell is growing more dangerous. Lilith was caught planning a rebellion—"
Lilith scoffed; her voice sharp as she cut in. "I was only doing what was necessary to protect my people."
Eve whirled on her, her eyes flashing with anger. "Your people? The Sinners aren’t your people, Lilith. They’re our people—mine and Adam’s. They are our children. You and Lucifer have no right to speak on how we’ve decided to deal with the rotten eggs."
Adam flinched at the term “rotten eggs,” disgust twisting in his stomach.
"How can you say that, Eve?" He shook his head, struggling to process what he was hearing. "I... I don’t see what any of you expect me to do about it."
Lucifer’s gaze never left Adam, his voice gentle but firm. "It’s not about the Sinners, Adam. That’s not why we asked you to be here."
Adam’s eyes flicked back to Lucifer; his curiosity piqued. "Then what is it about?"
Lucifer smiled warmly; the kind of smile that once made Adam feel protected, safe. He extended his hand, and a golden portal opened beside him, from which he retrieved a small booklet. As he stood up, Michael shot him a disapproving look, his wings twitching in frustration.
Lucifer rolled his eyes dramatically. "It’s just paper, Michael. Calm down."
Michael huffed but didn’t stop him, watching warily as Lucifer slid the booklet across the crystal table toward Adam. Adam glanced at the cover, his heart pounding as he reached for it.
"What is this?" Adam asked, his voice shaky as his fingers touched the edge of the booklet.
Lucifer’s eyes gleamed as he sat back down, a mixture of satisfaction and something far more tender in his expression. "The truth, Adam. Something Heaven has been keeping from you... and something you deserve to know."
The paper was colourful. It demanded his attention, sort of colour. He barely was able to look at it before Sera tried to take it away.
“You don’t have to entertain them, Adam.” She stated.
“No, but I want to see.” Adam said, taking hold of the paper before she could it from him. He didn’t see the way Sera and Michael looked one another, how Eve looked concerned and Lucifer and Lilith released soft breathes of relief.
Adam’s fingers curled around the paper, pulling it off the table. His ears became numb as soon another insulting fight broke out between Heaven and Hell. Nobody could ever stay quiet for long, Adam didn’t know who spoke first, but soon insults were bouncing between Eve and Lilith again, Lucifer and Michael, even Sera at times. But Adam kept quietly, reading over the booklet.
Adam’s heart pounded in his chest as he clutched the booklet, tuning out the escalating argument around him. The moment his fingers touched the paper, something deep inside him stirred—a mixture of dread and curiosity. He could hear Eve’s voice in the background, sharp and biting as she snapped at Lilith, and the smug retorts from Lucifer as he goaded Michael. The entire room was filled with clashing words, like weapons being thrown from one side to the other. Yet, it all felt distant, like white noise.
He had to know what was in that booklet.
Eve’s voice cut through the chaos for a brief second. “Adam, you don’t have give them the time of day. Really, you don't.”
Adam’s grip tightened around the paper, his golden eyes fixed on the words. “No, but I want to see.”
He heard her inhale sharply, as if she wanted to say more, but Adam didn’t look up. He missed the shared glance between Sera and Michael, the tension in Eve’s posture, and the way both Lucifer and Lilith seemed to relax the moment he held the booklet in his hands.
The paper felt heavier than it should have, the weight of untold secrets pressing down on him. As his eyes scanned the first few lines, the world around him began to fade even more. His ears grew numb, and the fight around him became a dull roar. He couldn’t pinpoint who had started it—Eve or Lilith, Michael or Lucifer—but it no longer mattered. All that mattered was the truth in his hands.
It was like peeling back a wound that had long since scarred over, only to find fresh pain beneath. The words on the page blurred at first, but as his focus sharpened, so did the meaning. This wasn’t just a collection of information. It was a revelation—a crack in the foundation of everything he thought he understood.
Suddenly, the noise around him broke through, Eve’s voice cutting sharp and harsh through the silence he had built in his mind.
“Don’t you dare act like you care about him now, Lilith! You had your chance, and you threw it away. You both did! He doesn't need either of you when he has me now!”
Eve’s fury was strong, and Adam glanced up just in time to see her glaring daggers at Lilith, her face flushed with anger.
Lilith’s eyes narrowed, but there was an almost amused glint in them. “Oh please, Eve. You’ve always been a replacement. A poor one at that.”
The booklet trembled slightly in Adam’s hands, but he forced himself to keep reading, even as the barbs flew around him. Lucifer’s voice dripped with condescension as he shot at Michael, “Still Heaven’s perfect little soldier, huh? Must be exhausting being so... wooden.”
Michael’s wings flickered in irritation, his jaw clenching as he tried to ignore the provocation. “I’m not engaging with you.”
Sera’s voice, tight with anxiety, tried to interject. “Can we all focus on the matter at hand? This bickering isn’t helping anything.”
Adam’s fingers traced the edges of the booklet, his curiosity slowly overtaking the growing tension in the room. As he flipped through the pages, he was greeted by a riot of colour and life—beautifully and skilfully painted creatures unlike anything he had ever seen. He had always adored nature, his duties in Heaven centred around animals and plants. He loved naming the creatures God had crafted, feeling a deep connection to each one. But what he saw here was unlike anything from Eden or Heaven.
His golden eyes burned with curiosity as they moved over the images: creatures that were a bizarre fusion of familiar and foreign. Some looked like twisted versions of animals he remembered from Eden—others were entirely alien. There were plants that shimmered with ethereal light, their forms strange and intricate. Flowers with petals like flames, animals with wings that shifted colors, beasts with eyes that glowed faintly in the dark. None of this was from the world he knew, and yet... they were breathtaking.
“What… what are these?” Adam’s voice finally broke through the argument happening around him, the words slipping out before he could stop them.
The room quieted for a moment. Eve's scowl softened as she glanced at Adam, though concern lingered in her eyes. Lilith and Lucifer exchanged a quick glance, but it was Lucifer who broke into a wide, relieved smile.
“These,” Lucifer said, his voice filled with satisfaction, “Are the Hellborns.”
Adam blinked, looking up from the booklet, his brow furrowed in confusion. “Hellborns? Like… the Heavenborns?”
Eve opened her mouth, her hand tightening slightly on the armrest. “No, Adam, it’s not—”
“Yes,” Lilith interjected, her voice firm but gentle, cutting Eve off. “They are the same.”
Adam’s gaze flicked between them, confusion deepening. “But… I thought Hell was only for Sinners.”
Lilith’s expression softened as she leaned forward slightly. “That’s what they want you to believe. Hell is a land of the forgotten, Adam. It’s where beings without purpose or hope are thrown. Yes, it is home to the Sinners… but it is also home to the Hellborns. Beings born from the very fabric of the underworld, creatures that no one remembers or cares about. Creatures that didn’t ask to be here.”
Lucifer leaned in, his voice taking on a softer, more intimate tone. “We’ve done everything we can to save them, Adam. To give them a chance to thrive. But…”
He paused, his expression darkening for the briefest moment, “They keep fading away.”
Adam’s heart stirred. There was a tug deep inside him, one he hadn’t felt in what seemed like an eternity. It was the same pull he had felt when he first woke up in Eden, when God had told him to name every plant and animal in the garden. To give them purpose and meaning. That same feeling was creeping back into his chest, a quiet whisper urging him forward.
Lilith’s words washed over him, her tone both sorrowful and urgent. “We tried everything, Adam. But Hell is a harsh place. They need more than what we can give. They need someone who understands… someone like you.”
Adam’s fingers tightened on the booklet as his gaze travelled across the painted images of these forgotten creatures. He could see the pain in Lilith’s eyes, the desperation in Lucifer’s smile.
But before Adam could speak, Michael interrupted, his patience evidently thinning. “Enough, Lilith. This has nothing to do with Heaven or Adam’s responsibilities. The Hellborns are not our concern. They were never meant to be.”
Lucifer’s eyes darkened, his usual smugness fading as he shot a sharp look across the table. “Oh, don’t be so short-sighted, Michael. You’re not the only one who can decide what’s important here.”
Michael crossed his arms, his wings twitching slightly in irritation. “Adam has no business getting involved in this.”
Lucifer’s smirk returned, but this time it was sharper, his eyes glinting with defiance. He leaned back in his seat, his gaze never leaving Michael’s. “Maybe… but Adam wants to know, doesn’t he?”
He turned his head toward Adam, his expression softening again, and this time it wasn’t an act. His smile was gentle, familiar in a way that tugged at Adam’s heart. “Isn’t that right, Adam?”
Adam hesitated, his eyes darting between Michael’s stern face and Lucifer’s warm gaze. Slowly, his head dipped in a small nod. “I… I want to know more.”
His attention shifted back to the booklet, captivated by the creatures painted there.
“Did… did you paint these?” he asked quietly, glancing up at Lucifer and Lilith.
Lilith smiled softly. “We did.”
Adam stared down at the paintings again, his mind racing.
“They’re… really good,” he admitted, his voice a little hesitant but sincere.
“I’m glad you think so.” Lucifer beamed, a proud and almost childish grin spreading across his face. His eyes sparkled, his usual arrogance fading into something softer, more genuine.
Adam's heart tightened in his chest. For the first time in what felt like forever, he found himself curious—genuinely interested in something beyond the chaos and the anger that had surrounded them for so long. He looked up at Lilith and Lucifer, both of whom were watching him with hopeful eyes, and for a moment, the weight of their past seemed to lift, if only a little.
But the silence didn’t last long.
Eve, her voice laced with unease, leaned forward. “Adam, you don’t owe them anything. They’re just trying to manipulate you—again.”
Adam frowned; the booklet still clutched in his hands. “I’m not being manipulated. I just want to understand.”
Lilith’s smile grew a little wider, but there was something almost sad in her eyes. Lucifer, on the other hand, seemed almost giddy, as if finally—finally—Adam was starting to see things from their perspective.
Adam's fingers traced the delicate lines of the painting—a bird-like creature with brilliant, iridescent feathers and eyes that seemed to follow him from the page. His touch was almost reverent, as if through the art, he could feel the life of the creature beneath his fingertips. His gaze slowly lifted, moving across the room, first to Lilith and Lucifer, then toward Eve, Michael, and finally Sera. He swallowed thickly, his thoughts swimming in the tension that hung thick in the air.
“Why show me this?” he asked quietly, his voice cutting through the silence that had briefly settled after their latest spat.
Lucifer let out a quiet sigh, as if the weight of the question bore heavily on him. He leaned forward, his expression more solemn than before. “Because we know we can’t save the Sinners anymore, Adam. Heaven has already decided. The exterminations will go ahead, no matter what we think or do.”
Adam tilted his head, curiosity burning in his golden eyes. “Then… why? Why call for me at all?”
Lilith and Lucifer exchanged a long, meaningful glance, something passing between them unspoken. Lilith finally leaned in, her voice soft, almost tender. “We want to save the Hellborns from the exterminations, Adam.”
Adam’s brows furrowed, still struggling to understand. “The Hellborns… but why? Why does that matter to you?”
Lilith’s eyes softened, and for a moment, her vulnerability shone through. “Because we wish to have a child someday.”
Adam blinked in surprise. “A child?”
Eve scoffed, her voice dripping with bitterness. “Lilith can’t have children. God never gave her the ability too.”
Lilith’s eyes blazed with anger, but she held her tongue, glaring daggers at Eve. “I’m aware of that.”
Lucifer muttered under his breath, “This is why we didn’t want Eve involved in the meeting.”
Michael, growing impatient, crossed his arms. “I’m growing tired of this game.”
Lucifer’s temper flared as he snapped, “Then leave if you want. No one's forcing you to stay."
Michael’s glare was sharp and unyielding, but Lucifer ignored him, his focus shifting back to Adam. Adam, caught in the middle, chewed his bottom lip, feeling the weight of their gazes pressing on him. His thoughts spun, trying to piece together why he was even here, what they were really asking of him.
“So…” Adam started, his voice quiet but firm, “what does this have to do with me? What do the Hellborns have to do with me?”
Lucifer’s gaze softened, and for a moment, all the arrogance and smugness seemed to vanish. “We want you to come to Hell.”
Eve’s reaction was immediate. Her chair scraped against the floor as she stood, her face a mask of outrage.
“Why would you ever think that would happen?!” she demanded.
Lilith remained calm; her voice steady but pointed as she looked Eve in the eye. “You know full well the power Lucifer and I hold. The Sinners can’t touch the extermination angels, but we can. You know that.”
Sera, her brow furrowed in concern, asked cautiously, “Are you suggesting you’d stand in the way of Heaven’s extermination?”
Lucifer shrugged, his expression unreadable. “We’re not saying we will, just that we could.”
Michael straightened, his body tense, arms crossed tightly. “So, what, are you implying that Heaven should hand Adam over to you to make sure you don’t interfere?”
Lucifer’s gaze flickered with a moment of worry as it landed back on Adam, but his voice was calm. “We’re not asking for Adam to stay with us forever. Just for a few months… maybe a year at most.”
Eve’s voice shook with restrained fury. “Why? Why would you even suggest that?”
Lucifer’s eyes were steady as he explained. “The Hellborns have no purpose. They fade away, forgotten. Adam’s power, his gift, has always been to give purpose. He names God's creations, defines them. The Hellborns are God’s creations too, whether you accept that or not.”
Michael scoffed, shaking his head. “The Hellborns are not our concern.”
Sera, ever the mediator, stepped in again. “If it’s the Hellborns you want to protect, we could arrange for the extermination angels to leave them untouched. Adam doesn’t need to go to Hell for that.”
Lilith shook her head, her frustration clear. “That’s not enough. We wish to have a child someday, and our child will be a Hellborn. Hellborns fade without purpose, and our child would too. We need Adam to give them—give our child—a future.”
Eve shook her head vehemently. “You can’t have children. You can’t carry a child, Lilith.”
Lilith’s gaze narrowed, but she didn’t rise to the bait this time. Michael and Sera, however, exchanged thoughtful glances.
After a tense silence, Michael spoke slowly, weighing his words carefully. “If we were to agree… if we allowed you to ‘borrow’ Adam for a year, even if this plan of yours fails, you’d stay out of the exterminations?”
Lucifer’s expression softened as he nodded. “We would. That’s our promise.”
Eve gasped, her disbelief clear. “Are you seriously considering sending Adam to Hell?”
Sera looked at Eve with pained eyes. She was clearly conflicted, her gaze shifting to Adam, who looked frozen in shock and disbelief, the weight of the conversation bearing down on him.
Michael’s voice was hard as he addressed Lucifer. “If we agree to this, there will be no harm to Adam. You don’t touch him. Not once.”
Lucifer looked insulted; his voice sharp. “You really think so little of us?”
Lilith’s lips tightened into a thin line. “Don’t answer that,” she muttered. “It’s obvious what they think of us.”
She turned to Adam then, her gaze soft and full of something that resembled the warmth they once shared. “We would never hurt you again, Adam. You know that.”
Adam’s mind was a whirlwind of confusion and emotion. His fingers trembled slightly as he looked at the booklet in his hands, the Hellborn creatures staring back at him, pulling at something deep inside his soul. He felt the familiar tug, the pull of purpose. But the weight of everything—the betrayals, the pain, the love, and the loss—clouded his mind. Could he really trust them again? Could he do this for them? For the Hellborns?
He wasn’t sure. But for the first time in a long while, he wasn’t entirely certain he could say no.
"Can... can I think about it? At least?" Adam’s voice, barely above a whisper, pierced through the soft murmur of the hall, instantly quieting the room.
Lilith’s lips curled into a gentle smile, a wave of relief washing over her. He hadn’t dismissed them. “Of course. Take all the time you need.”
Adam hesitated, his eyes flickering between them, his voice even softer now.
“And... could I keep this too?” He glanced at the booklet in his hands, almost shy in his request.
Lucifer’s heart swelled with joy, his face lighting up with pure delight. Adam wanted to keep what they had made!
He nodded eagerly, his voice bubbling with excitement. “Yes! Yes! Of course, you can keep it! We’d love for you to keep it!”
Blushing deeply, Adam’s fingers tightened around the delicate pages, feeling the warmth rise all the way to the tips of his ears. He nodded again, his voice barely audible. “Thank you.”
His thoughts whirled. Go to Hell for a full year? With just Lucifer and Lilith? Could he really do that? Be with the two people he loved more than anything, yet who had caused him such pain, leaving his heart shattered? It felt overwhelming... but then there was that familiar tug deep inside him. The pull of his power, his purpose. The need to face those Hellborns, to name them, to grant them the right to exist—even if their home was Hell itself.
“The meeting is adjourned,” Michael announced abruptly, rising from his seat. “We’ll return in a week with our decision.”
Lucifer, still riding the wave of joy from Adam’s request, barely noticed the stern look his brother was giving him. He grinned wide, almost giddy. “Perfect! We’ll see you in a week!”
“Adam,” Lilith’s voice was as soft and tender as a lullaby, echoing with the same sweetness she’d spoken with in Eden. “Thank you for hearing us out.”
Adam blinked in surprise, her words gently wrapping around him. Slowly, he gave a small nod, his voice barely above a breath.
“...No problem...”
~#~
As they left the meeting, Eve fell into step beside Adam, her voice soft but insistent. "Adam... I'm sorry. I'm sorry I didn’t tell you about the exterminations sooner." Her eyes flickered with regret, though her tone remained firm. "I was trying to protect you, protect Heaven. It's... it's what’s best for everyone."
Adam remained silent, his steps slow and deliberate as he listened. Eve didn’t notice his quietness, too caught up in her own words. She rambled on, her words coming in waves.
“Sinners aren’t like us, Adam. They’ve fallen, they’ve failed. Their punishment is necessary. We can’t let them spoil what we’ve built here. They’re… they’re the bad ones, the rotten eggs among our children.”
Her voice softened as she reached for his hand, but her words were still sharp. “It’s mercy, Adam. True mercy. To let them live in Hell, knowing they could never be like us… it’s cruel. This is kinder.”
Adam’s mind wandered as she spoke. Could it really be mercy? Could it be fair for the damned to suffer in Hell only to be killed again, stripped of even that painful existence? His heart ached with doubt. He didn’t agree—not fully—but he couldn’t find the words to say it. Not now.
Eve squeezed his hand and led him through the familiar path to their shared home, her voice still echoing the same justifications. Their garden awaited them, blooming with all the vibrant life Adam adored. The air was fragrant with the scent of roses, bluebells, sunflowers, and daisies. Each plant was a testament to his love for beauty and growth, their colors bright and warm beneath the soft light of Heaven.
Adam’s gaze lingered on the flowers, but for the first time, his thoughts drifted to something else.
What did the flowers in Hell look like? Did they bloom like these, or were they twisted, dark reflections of the beauty he cherished here?
He turned his eyes to the Heavenborn tiger that lazed in the grass nearby, its golden and white fur shimmering in the glow of their garden. Without a word, Adam slipped away from Eve’s side and moved to the tiger, lowering himself into its soft, warm fur. The creature purred gently as Adam nestled into its embrace, finding a quiet comfort there. His fingers sank into the thick fur as his thoughts drifted once more.
What were Hell’s Hellborns like? Did they glow like this tiger, or were they something else entirely?
Eve, standing with her hands on her hips, watched him with growing frustration. Her voice sharpened as she asked, “Adam, are you seriously considering this? Entertaining Lucifer and Lilith? Going to Hell for a whole year?”
But Adam didn’t respond. His fingers traced the edge of the booklet Lucifer had given him, its weight heavy in his hands. He stared at it, the delicate pages filled with hope and promises of something different, something unknown. Something that tugged at him, even as he lay surrounded by the familiar comfort of his garden.
Eve’s voice grew softer, but it didn’t reach him. He was already lost in thought, torn between the world he knew and the one that waited below.
~#~
Meanwhile, in the depths of Hell, Lucifer and Lilith let out synchronized sighs of relief as they left the meeting. The tension that had gripped them throughout the entire exchange with Heaven finally began to ease.
"That... could have gone better," Lucifer muttered, running a hand through his tousled hair. His usual confident demeanor was tinged with frustration.
Lilith hummed softly in agreement, her arms crossed as she glanced back toward where the meeting had been held. "It would've been better if we could have spoken to Adam alone," she said, her voice carrying the weight of her disappointment.
Lucifer nodded, the corners of his mouth pulling into a tight line. "True, but you know Heaven would never allow that. Not after everything."
They both sighed again, this time in sadness, the unspoken ache shared between them. It had been so long, too long, since they’d seen Adam. And despite the tensions that lingered, it had been good—heartachingly good—to see him again.
"I missed him so much," Lilith admitted quietly, her voice almost breaking. "It was... comforting to see him, to know he’s healthy."
"Yeah... he's doing well. But..." Lucifer gave a small, weak smile but then it faltered as he met her gaze, knowing they both felt the same unspoken concern. "I don’t like how close he is to Eve."
Lilith's lips pressed into a thin line; her displeasure evident. "Neither do I. There's something about her... it feels wrong. I don’t like how she talks, how she looks at him."
Her gaze softened with a hint of sorrow. "But at least Adam still seems... himself. Still sweet, like he was in Eden."
Lucifer’s smile returned, though faintly. "We should be thankful that Eve’s bitterness hasn’t completely rubbed off on him. He hasn’t changed as much as I feared."
He looked off into the distance, a softness in his eyes. "He’s still so innocent, in a way."
Lilith nodded, her own small smile returning. The idea that Adam had held on to pieces of his old self, despite everything, filled her with a fragile sense of relief. "He really is. It’s... it’s nice to see that."
A pause stretched between them, heavy with unspoken regrets, before Lilith finally broke the silence, her voice trembling slightly. "I regret how we left things in Eden."
“I regret it too," he admitted, his tone heavy. Lucifer’s eyes darkened, the familiar weight of guilt pressing down on his shoulders. "But... I wasn’t expecting him to run from us when we came back for him. That hurt more than I can even say."
Lilith’s gaze dropped, pained. "I can never forget the look he gave me," she whispered, her hands curling into fists at her sides. "The fear in his eyes. I hate that he was so scared of me... of us."
Her voice cracked. "He ran away from me, Lucifer. And he cried. I made him cry."
Lucifer stepped closer, resting a hand on her shoulder. "I know. I hated it too."
His voice was thick with emotion, his usual confident facade breaking. "I never wanted to make him cry. Never. It broke me seeing him like that... but we didn’t have a choice. We had to make sure it was safe for him before we could take him with us."
"I know," she murmured. Lilith nodded slowly, though the pain in her eyes didn’t ease. "If we’d taken him with us back then... he could’ve gotten sick, maybe even died. I just wish I could tell him that. I wish he knew that he was always meant to be with us."
Lucifer’s grip on her shoulder tightened in reassurance. "We’ll be able to tell him someday. He’ll understand. He has to."
Lilith looked up at him, her eyes searching his face. "Do you really think Heaven will let him come to Hell for a year? Do you think they’ll let him be with us?"
"I don’t know," he admitted, his voice low. Lucifer’s expression darkened slightly. "But Michael seemed to take our threat seriously when we mentioned interfering with the extermination."
Lilith frowned at the mention of the exterminations, her distaste clear. "I hate those. The idea of killing the Sinners again and again... it feels so wrong. How can they call it mercy?"
Lucifer nodded grimly. "It’s horrible. And it was clear Adam didn’t like it either."
"That’s the one thing that gives me hope," Lilith said softly, her eyes distant. "Adam still has that empathy. That tenderness. Maybe... maybe that means we have a chance."
Lilith’s brow furrowed as she turned to Lucifer, a hint of worry lingering in her eyes. “Do you really think this plan will work?” she asked quietly, her voice laced with uncertainty.
Lucifer’s expression softened, his smile returning, though it carried the weight of years of effort.
“It has to, Lilith,” he murmured. “We’ve been working on this for so long. Too long to fail now.”
Lilith nodded, though her frustration bubbled to the surface. “You’re right. It’s been so long,” she said, her voice rising with simmering anger.
“Do you know how many centuries we’ve spent just trying to get Heaven to let us see Adam? Just to be in the same room as him? And they still treat us like we’re—like we’re nothing to him.”
Her words came out sharper than she intended, and she clenched her fists, her body tense with the weight of their shared struggle. But before the anger could take root any deeper, Lucifer gently took her hand, squeezing it in quiet reassurance.
“Lilith,” he said softly, his golden eyes steady as they met hers. “It’ll work out. Adam will be ours again.”
For a moment, Lilith’s anger faded, replaced by a soft smile. She let out a long, tired sigh, her shoulders easing as she rested against Lucifer’s.
“If Adam comes to save the Hellborn, that is,” she whispered, her tone quieter, tinged with hope.
A grin slowly spread across Lucifer’s face, his confidence returning. “Of course he will,” he said, almost playfully. “He’s soft. Tender. That’s who he is.” His smile grew warmer as he leaned closer, his voice dipping into a familiar, soothing cadence. “We have to be gentle with him. Tender. Patient. We can’t rush things with Adam—not if we want him to stay.”
Lilith chuckled softly, her eyes gleaming with amusement. “I know, I know.”
“We can’t frighten him. The last thing we want is for him to pull away again.” Her voice softened as she thought of how much had already been lost, of Adam’s fear, his tears. They couldn’t let that happen again.
Lucifer nodded; his expression firm yet gentle. “Exactly. We’ll be patient. Adam will come to Hell, and he’ll give the Hellborn a purpose. And in doing so…”
He smiled, the weight of their plan settling into place. “He’ll save our future child.”
Lilith’s eyes gleamed at the mention of it, the future they had dreamed of for so long.
“Once Adam’s pregnant with our baby,” she said softly, the word ours filling the air like a promise, “He won’t be able to leave Hell, no matter what.”
Lucifer’s gaze softened, but there was a flicker of something possessive in his smile. “One year will never be enough, Lilith. You and I both know that. Once Adam’s with us, there won’t be any going back.”
Lilith’s smile deepened, her heart lightened by the thought.
“No,” she agreed. “There won’t be.”
They loved Adam so much. It was a shame Adam misunderstood their intentions in Eden. But they weren't about to make the same mistake twice.

he backed away palming himself, trying to grasp at the bit of self control he has left but you nestle your back side right into him again. that sense a warmth lost once you felt the slightest breeze in your sleep. “stop moving pa..” morning voice so sweet and light, sending a rush of arousal through his body, he couldn’t hold out anymore, pulling you closer and grinding himself against the soft brown flesh of your ass. mumbling a soft ‘fuck’ to himself at how warm it was against him. his hands roaming every inch of your body as your softly cooed in your sleep, this big strong hands traveling from your ass, to your breast, and finally your clothed pussy. a heated radiated from you body, letting aran know you felt his every touch. he gently ran his fingers over your clothed folds, before circling your throbbing clit, making you stir. eyebrows pinching together as you slowly awaken, soft moans leaving your lips once he pulled your panties aside.
sucking and kissing at your neck, still filled with your flirtatious perfume. finger’s continuing to massage and pinch at your clit, granting him a few gasps and whines from you. whispering to you while he continued to suck hickies into your skin, voice sending shivers down your spine. “take all dis off, wanna see you..” and you did just that, aiding him in removing every piece of the clothing, naked brown skin in full view for him to see. “you so beautiful..” reaching down and teasing two fingers at your leaking pussy, covering his fingers in your slick while his thumbs pressed against your clit. “arannn, stop teasinggg.” you whined, leg opening to give him more access. aran smirked against your skin. placing a wet kiss behind your ear. “let me get it from the side baby.”
“ohh my godd, daddyy fuckkk!” you moaned into aran’s mouth as he sloppily kissed you, digging you out from the side. arousal pooling out on his dick as he fucked you deep, strong hand hooked beneath your knee to keep you spread the way he loved. “i know baby, love she keep talkin t’me.” sounds of your squelching pussy and sloppy kissing echoing out in the room.
“so fucking good mama, you takin’ me so well..” aran looked down yo where you two we’re connected, watching as you sucked him in with every retreating thrust. your arm hooking beneath your thigh to give your man more room for his deep strokes. “uh huh, open her up f’r me.” a deep groan escaping his lips as your arousal creamed down onto his pelvis. thick dick stretching you out just right, hips rolling deep into your sweet spot, hitting it repeatedly. “ouuu yess! like that yes!” hiking your leg up higher for him to give you ever single inch “mhmm, that dick feel good?” you nod, biting down on your lip to try and suppress the loud whines, breathe catching in your throat with every deep thrust. his hand reaching around to circle your clit, eyes rolling back into your head as your nails dig into his shoulder. “mmm, d-daddyyyyyy”

“good morning baby..” aran smiled, leaving a soft kiss on your lips.

“Ben, what’s going on?” she asked, rubbing her face sleepily, adorably, as she joined him in the hallway of the dormitory. He wasted no time folding her into his arms, placing a kiss in her hair.
How sure he’d been that she would be on his side, how Snoak assured him that their relationship would not get in the way of his training as opposed to Luke, who had advised against forming such close attachments.
But how could he help himself? She was beautiful and smart and strong with the Force. She made him laugh on his first day when his heart was breaking as the Falcon lifted off the ground and dashed away. They trained together, challenging each other, and making one another better. Ben couldn’t picture a future without her in it, and he knew she felt the same about him.
“It’s time,” he said, “we’re going to join Snoak.” He stepped back and reached out his hand toward her, expecting her to take it but she just stared.
“Join Snoak? But Ben, I, I thought…what happened?” The confusion read clearly across her pretty face, and Ben stepped closer. He cupped her face with the hand he’d reached out to her, tipping it up so he could explain while looking into her eyes.
“It was just as Snoak said,” he explained, “Luke is afraid of my power. He tried to ambush me, tried to kill me in my sleep. Snoak told me he would betray me, betray us, so now we need to go.”
“No,” she said as she stepped away from him, “Luke wouldn’t do that. I’m sure it was a misunderstanding. If we just talk to him, hear his side, it’ll be okay.”
“It’s too late for that, my love,” Ben tried to console her, but again she shuffled out of his reach. “We need to leave.”
“No.”
“If you’re not with us, you’re against us,” he warned, “Is that really what you want?”
“Snoak is dangerous, Ben, he’s been lying to you for months, twisting things around, please be reasonable-”
“Reasonable? Is it reasonable to try and kill your nephew because he challenges you? Because you’re not as strong or as powerful as he is?”
“That’s not what happened, Luke wouldn’t-”
Kylo Ren closed the distance between them, crowding her against the wall with his body. “He did. And he will pay for it.”
To this day, he could still feel her fear through the Force and how he had used it to influence her.
“Come with me,” he said. “You want to come with me.”
For a moment it seemed like it would work, that he had managed to bend her to his will as her face went momentarily blank, but she shook her head and it cleared away.
“No,” she defied, opening her mouth to say more when a large explosion from outside caught her attention. Letting her push past him, she ran to the window and gasped.
“The temple is burning,” she said, shock evident in her tone.
“Good.”
For a moment she stood there, frozen with her mouth agape. He could almost see the gears turning in her mind, how she was putting together that he had orchestrated the explosion, how his fellows were taking out the troublesome Jedi who would eventually stand in their way. Through the Force, he felt her rage rise within her like a tide. A smirk graced his lips, and with an angry yell, she ignited her blade.
For the second time that night, he blocked an initial attack. Her anger fueled her rapid-fire attacks, and he couldn’t help but feel a little proud and perhaps even hopeful. If he could make her feel the intoxicating power of the Dark Side, maybe she would see the error in Luke’s teachings.
“Good,” he repeated, parrying her latest attack, “Feel your rage, use it. Can’t you taste the power? This is how it would be for us, always, if you joined me!”
That comment caught her off guard, and he was able to land a blow to her shoulder. The smell of singed flesh accompanied her cry of pain, but he didn’t stop. She rallied, blocking his blows.
“Come with me,” he insisted, “And I will teach you to use this passion, this power, and we will use it to rule the galaxy. Isn’t that what you’ve always wanted?” With a grunt of anger, she began another offensive strike, but he continued, “You and me, side by side forever? Now is our chance!”
“Our chance to what?” she panted, “Become the next Empire? Rule through tyranny and suppression? That’s what our parents fought against! It’s everything that Luke taught us was wrong!”
Their sabers clashed in an ‘X’ formation, and he stared at her through the light.
“If you’re not with me, you’re against me,” he explained simply before turning off his blade. This made her fall forward and he smoothly stepped out of the way. She fell onto her hands and knees, her saber turned off beneath her.
A voice inside him whispered for him to kill her. Another told him to kidnap her, take her with him. Yet another, this one real and outside of himself, called that they needed help outside the burning temple.
“Last chance, my love.”
The hate in her eyes as she looked up at him — such potential wasted. Her breathing was ragged and her resolve absolute.
“Never.”
Letting his rage and anger and desire for revenge eclipse his love for her, he reignited his saber and drove it into her back. A short gasp was all he heard before he felt her Force drain away and her limp body fall to the floor. Killing her was like killing a part of himself, but what was he supposed to do? He couldn’t have her chasing him all around the galaxy and he certainly couldn’t have her interfering in his plans.
As much as he wanted to go to her and brush her hair away from her beautiful face for the last time, he knew Snoak would label that as weakness. His future training needed to proceed unencumbered and, like he had said: If she wasn’t with him, she was against him.
Maker, how he wished things had turned out differently.

Sultan's Heir
Sapphire screamed wildly! The birthing pangs brutally raged through her core like a fire storm. She collapsed and clutched the silk quilting in front of her. Sapphire could feel the enormous head spreading her. The torture of birthing a royal heir was completely overwhelming the mother to be. Her eyes were filled with tears as her suffering echoed through the curtains of the birthing tent.
"It started at dawn, Your Highness! She has been taken to the main tent in the encampment. The princess has her birthing assistants. They are very experienced and will help her to bring your royal heir into the world!"
The Sultan looked at the other men in the room. They were all married and had many children. They reassured the Sultan that the princess would deliver a healthy child. He slowly nodded but he secretly longed to be with her.
Sapphire bent forward and yelled out loudly. The head pounded her savagely as the pangs grew more unbearable. She curled her hands in the soft cotton sheets as she rocked back and forward. On her hands and knees, she could feel the full force of the birthing head between her folds. Sapphire shouted in birthing agony as she bore down on the merging dome. She was shaking and sweating profusely from the intense throbbing of each contraction.
The Sultan walked the halls of the Palace. His nerves were raw and his mind was racing. It was not acceptable for him to be with his princess as she gave birth. He was crazy about her! He had passionately impregnated his heir into her womb. He could only hope she could endure the turmoil of releasing the child into the world.
Sapphire frantically panted as she pushed and strained heavily against the crowning tip. Sapphire layed with her legs wide and supported as the need to bear came without mercy. Her echoing sounds filled the entire encampment as the birth slowly progressed. The agonisingly strong contractions bombarded the first time mother. Sapphire shoved down hard whenever a pain exploded at her entrance. The orgasmic intensity erupted with each surge. Sapphire shook wildly as she rode the exhausting journey towards delivery. The mixture of bearing and stretching made her orgasm painfully as the head grew enormous at her opening.
The Sultan ordered for his helicopter to fly him to the desert encampment. It had been one long day and still no news. As the helicopter landed, attendants rushed forward to welcome him to the encampment.
Sapphire howled madly as the next pain detonated like a mega bomb at her entrance. The head thrashed forward as her cries became deafening. She was finally entering the final stages of birthing. Sapphire vibrated wildly with an unstoppable pulsing as the head thrusted her wider and wider. The princess was completely exhausted. She was lost in the final round of contractions. Her torturous birthing ordeal was coming to its dramatic end.
The Sultan could hear her suffering but his attendants held him back from entering the birthing tent. He was white with fear as he listened to the roaring screams of his princess fighting to deliver.
"I can't!......I can feel all of it!......Make it stop!......I have to push!......I need it out!......RIGHT NOW!"
The princess roared at the top of her lungs. The orgasmic birthing explosion split her wide as the head pushed its way to freedom. Moments later, the second eruption brought the rest of the baby out of her exhausted frame.
The Sultan rushed forward and hurried into the bed chamber.
"Darling? Are you alright? I am so sorry that you had to suffer for our child!" Sapphire looked up with tears of joy, holding their child within silken wraps.
"I would do it again, my love. Whenever the pain came, I thought of you and I knew our son would be born safely. I can't wait to do my duty all over again....and soon!"

Chapter 1 - The Night We (almost)Owned
22 January, 2020
Luke leaned against the cold concrete wall, the thumping bass from the stage reverberating through his body and his chest still heaving from the encounter he just had. Even though he's outside he can feel the wall slightly thumping from the bass inside.
"Thank you sweetheart. You just blessed me with some good luck before my show." He says showing off his perfect pearly whites as he is getting ready to leave this scene.
The groupie, her eyes still glazed with desire, sidled up to him, a coy smile playing on her lips. "Leaving so soon, Luke?" she purred, trailing a finger down the front of his shirt.
Luke flashed her a charming grin, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "Yeah, duty calls. Can't keep the fans waiting."
The groupie pouted, her lower lip jutting out in a playful pout. "But I thought we were having fun, Luke. Don't you want to stay and play a little longer?"
"I'm good sweetheart. This is kinda my thing, I don't do well on the whole commitment thing" He says shooting her a wink.
"Yeah, yeah, you always say that," she said smugly. "But then you also always come back around. That's some kind of commitment isn't it."
The sound of her smugness slightly annoyed him. He didn't like her thinking she had some sort of power over him. She could never. That was reserved for one person only. The one person that had Luke's heart in a chokehold. Luke felt a sharp pang in his chest thinking about the last time he saw her.
_________
20 January, 2020
The moon cast a soft glow through Julie's bedroom window as Luke slipped through the shadows, his heart pounding with a mixture of anxiety and relief. He had been here countless times before, seeking refuge from the storm that raged within his own home. As he reached Julie's window, he tapped lightly on the glass, the sound barely audible over the distant hum of the city. Julie's face appeared in the window, her expression calm and understanding. She didn't even need to ask what he was doing here; it was routine for them. Without a word, she swung the window open, allowing Luke to slip into the room.
He didn't waste any time in crossing the room and collapsing onto Julie's bed, the weight of the world heavy on his shoulders. Julie followed, closing the window behind her before sitting down beside him. There was a familiarity in their movements, a silent understanding that had been forged through countless nights like this one.
"Rough night?" Julie asked softly, her voice a gentle reassurance in the darkness.
Luke nodded, his gaze fixed on the ceiling as he struggled to put his feelings into words. "I just...I don't know what to do anymore, Jules. It's like no matter what I do, it's never good enough for them. They just don't understand why music means so much to me. It's the only thing I'm actually good at."
Luke gets up to make his way to Julie's dresser to retrieve his sleepwear. He opened the bottom drawer and rummaged around for a moment before finding his shorts neatly folded at the back.
"You know, Luke, you don't have to keep pretending like everything's okay with your parents. It's okay to admit that you're struggling."
Luke paused mid-motion, his gaze meeting Julie's in the dim light of the room. There was a vulnerability in her eyes that made his heart ache, a tenderness that he couldn't help but be drawn to.
"I know, Jules," he said quietly, his voice tinged with a hint of sadness. "But it's easier to just pretend like everything's fine, you know? It's easier than facing the truth." Julie nodded in understanding.
With practiced ease, Luke peeled off his shirt, revealing the smooth lines of his toned physique. Julie's eyes flicked over to him, her gaze lingering on his bare chest for just a moment longer than necessary. She quickly averted her eyes, cheeks flushing with a faint pink hue, even though she was definitely already familiar with the sight. This was routine for them, after all.
Luke caught the subtle shift in her demeanor and couldn't help but smirk, a playful glint dancing in his eyes. "Like what you see, Jules?" he teased, his voice laced with amusement.
Julie's cheeks flushed an even deeper shade of pink as she hastily returned her attention to her book, hoping to hide her embarrassment. "Shut up, Luke," she muttered, her voice barely above a whisper.
Luke chuckled softly as he pulled on his shorts, the fabric hanging loosely around his hips. "You know you love it," he teased, unable to resist the opportunity to tease her further.
"And you know you love being the little spoon" Julie fires back while sticking her tongue out.
Luke chuckled, his eyes sparkling with mischief as he settled onto the bed beside Julie. "You know it," he replied, flashing her a playful grin.
Julie rolled her eyes, but a fond smile tugged at the corners of her lips.
Luke scooted closer to her, wrapping an arm around her waist and pulling her into his embrace. "Come on, Jules, you know you love being the big spoon," he teased, nuzzling into her neck.
Julie laughed, her heart swelling with warmth at the familiar banter between them. "Only because you hog all the blankets," she retorted, leaning back into his embrace.
They settled onto the bed together, Julie's warmth enveloping him like a cocoon as they snuggled close, seeking solace in each other's presence. It was a familiar ritual, one they had shared countless times before.
They lay there together in comfortable silence, the soft rhythm of their breathing filling the room. In moments like these, surrounded by the warmth of each other's presence, they felt like nothing could touch them

22 January, 2020
As the memory of their intimate moment faded into the recesses of Luke's mind, he blinked back to the present. With a forced chuckle, Luke gently extricated himself from the groupie's grasp and headed toward the venue, leaving her behind with nothing but a lingering memory of their brief encounter.
"I'll see you around Patterson" Is all he heard before he entered the venue. He pushed open the door, the thumping bass sending a jolt of electricity through his veins. The stage was their sanctuary, their domain where they reigned supreme. The neon lights of the venue flickered and danced in the night as Luke made his way through the entrance. The familiar buzz of excitement pulsed through the air, mingling with the distant hum of the crowd inside.
As he made it backstage Reggie and Alex looked up from where they were tuning their instruments, their expressions a mixture of relief and concern.
"Luke, where the hell have you been?"
Reggie's voice carried a hint of exasperation as he eyed his bandmate. Luke flashed them a winning grin, his eyes sparkling with mischief.
"Oh, you know, just tying up some loose ends. Nothing to worry about." Alex raised an eyebrow, skepticism evident in his tone.
"Tying up loose ends? Is that what you call it now?"
Luke chuckled, his laughter ringing out in the dimly lit corridor. "Hey, a man's gotta have his goodluck charm, right?"
Reggie shook his head, a smirk playing on his lips. Alex rolled his eyes "I hardly think your disgusting alley way hookup is gonna be the reason we kill this show."
Luke waved off their concerns with a dismissive gesture. "Relax, guys. I'm here, aren't I? And besides, I always deliver when it counts."
______________________________
As Luke stepped into the spotlight, the roar of the crowd washed over him like a tidal wave. With a smirk, he launched into the first chords, his fingers dancing across the strings with practiced ease.
This was where he belonged, in the heart of the chaos, where the music flowed like a river of fire. And as he sang, the lyrics pouring from his lips like molten gold, Luke felt alive in a way he never had before.
Luke shredded through the final chorus of their latest hit, the crowd erupting into cheers, their voices blending with the pounding rhythm of the drums. Sweat dripped from his brow as he grinned, adrenaline coursing through his veins like wildfire. This was the high he lived for-the raw energy of a live performance, the intoxicating rush of being on stage.
With a flourish, Luke tossed his guitar pick into the crowd, a gesture that sent the audience into a frenzy. He soaked in their adulation, reveling in the momentary fame that came with being the frontman of a rock band.
But as the lights dimmed and the band made their way off stage, Luke's thoughts turned to the real reason he was here-the music. It was his passion, his obsession, the one thing that consumed his every waking moment. Everything else-the parties, the girls, the fleeting fame-was just a distraction, a temporary fix to numb the ache in his soul.
As the band members made their way backstage, their adrenaline still coursing through their veins, they exchanged excited chatter and high-fives.
"That was insane!" Luke exclaimed, his eyes shining with exhilaration. " The energy in the room was off the chains tonight!"
Reggie grinned, his usual playful demeanor in full swing. "Yeah, especially when you whipped out that guitar solo, Luke! You had them eating out of the palm of your hand!"
Alex rolled his eyes, his sarcasm dripping like venom. "Oh yeah, because we all know how much Luke loves being the center of attention."
Luke chuckled, unfazed by Alex's barb. "Hey, someone's gotta be the face of the band, right?"
Alex shook his head, a smirk playing on his lips. "Yeah, yeah, keep telling yourself that, Patterson."
Beneath the banter, there was an unspoken bond that tied them together-a bond forged through countless late-night jam sessions and the shared dream of making it big. Luke couldn't help but feel a pang of gratitude for the bandmates who had become like family to him. They may not always see eye to eye, but when it came down to it, they had each other's backs no matter what.
______________________
The boys gathered in the garage studio, the familiar scent of stale beer hanging heavy in the air. Reggie and Alex sat on the worn-out couch, their guitars resting against their knees, while Luke paced back and forth, his mind still buzzing from the adrenaline of the show.
"Man, that was crazy!" Reggie exclaimed, his eyes shining with excitement. "Did you see the way the crowd went wild when you threw them your pick?"
Luke flashed him a grin, his chest swelling with pride. "Yeah, they were eating it up, weren't they? It's like they couldn't get enough of us."
Alex nodded in agreement, a smirk playing on his lips. "Yeah, it's like we're unstoppable or something. We're gonna be selling out stadiums before you know it."
However amidst the excitement of the successful show, there was a noticeable absence-the absence of Julie, who was usually a fixture at their gigs. Reggie and Alex exchanged a knowing glance, silently communicating their concern.
"Hey, where's Julie?" Alex asked, his voice laced with curiosity. "She's usually always here to support us. I don't think I've ever seen her miss a show."
Luke's smile faltered slightly, a flicker of unease crossing his features. "Oh, she had some stuff to take care of tonight. Nothing important."
Reggie raised an eyebrow, skepticism evident in his tone. "Really? 'Cause it seems kinda strange for her to miss out on a show like this. You sure everything's okay?"
Luke shrugged, attempting to brush off their concern. "Yeah, everything's fine. She's probably just busy with school or something. You know how it is."
But Reggie and Alex weren't convinced. They knew how close Luke and Julie were, how they were practically inseparable both on and off stage. Something didn't add up, and they weren't about to let it slide.
"Come on, Luke," Reggie pressed, his voice tinged with frustration. "You can't expect us to believe that. You and Julie are practically joined at the hip. What's really going on?"
Luke's jaw tensed, irritation bubbling beneath the surface. "Look, it's none of your business, okay? Julie probably had her reasons for not being here tonight, and that's all you need to know."
Reggie shook his head, a smirk playing on his lips. "When are you gonna drop the act like you don't like each other anyways? It's obvious to everyone that there's something more going on between you two."
Luke's annoyance flared into anger, his fists clenched at his sides. "I said it's none of your damn business, Reggie. So just drop it, okay?"
But Reggie and Alex weren't about to let it go. They knew that where there was smoke, there was fire, and they were determined to get to the bottom of whatever was going on between Luke and Julie, even if it meant prying it out of him one painful word at a time.

20 January, 2020
Luke and Julie lay tangled together on the bed. Their bodies molded perfectly against each other, fitting like pieces of a puzzle as they sought comfort in each other's arms.
Julie nestled her head against Luke's chest, her fingers tracing lazy circles on his skin as she listened to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat. She felt a sense of peace wash over her, a feeling of contentment that only came when she was wrapped up in his embrace.
Luke sighed contentedly, his arms wrapped protectively around Julie as he held her close. He buried his face in her hair, breathing in the sweet scent of her shampoo as he pressed a gentle kiss to the top of her head.
They lay there in silence, the only sound the soft rustle of their breathing as they basked in the warmth of each other's presence. It was a moment of pure bliss, a fleeting glimpse of happiness in a world filled with chaos and uncertainty.
Julie hesitated for a moment, her fingers tracing patterns on Luke's chest as she gathered her courage to speak. "Luke," she began, her voice soft but determined, "we need to talk."
Luke tensed at her words, a knot forming in the pit of his stomach as he braced himself for what was to come. He knew all too well what she wanted to discuss, but he wasn't sure he was ready to face it.
"About what?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper as he avoided her gaze, unable to meet her eyes.
Julie sighed, her expression tinged with frustration as she searched for the right words. "About us, Luke," she replied, her voice tinged with sadness. "About what's been going on between us."
Luke's heart clenched at her words, the fear and uncertainty rising like a tidal wave within him. He knew he couldn't keep avoiding the truth forever, but the thought of confronting his feelings for Julie filled him with a sense of overwhelming dread.
"I don't know what you're talking about, Jules," he muttered, his voice barely audible as he turned away from her, unable to face the truth that lingered between them.
Julie's eyes filled with tears as she reached out to him, her hand trembling as she brushed his cheek gently. "Luke, please," she pleaded, her voice cracking with emotion. "We can't keep pretending like this anymore. I know you feel it too." Luke's heart ached at her words, the weight of his own denial pressing down on him like a suffocating blanket. He wanted nothing more than to tell her the truth, to confess his love for her and lay bare his soul.
Julie took a deep breath, steeling herself for the conversation ahead. "I... I love being here with you, Luke. I love being able to be there for you, to comfort you when things get tough. And I always will," she said softly, her words tinged with emotion.
Luke's heart swelled with affection for her, his fingers gently stroking her hair as he listened intently.
"But," Julie continued, her voice trembling slightly, "if you can't commit to me, if you can't give me what I need... I need to put some distance between us."
Luke's heart sank at her words, the weight of them settling heavily on his chest. He knew deep down that he had been hurting her, that his inability to commit had been taking its toll on their relationship.
"I-I understand, Julie," he murmured, his voice thick with regret. "I-I never meant to hurt you. I just... I don't know if I can give you what you need."
Julie's eyes filled with tears as she looked up at him, her heart breaking with each word he spoke. "I know, Luke," she whispered, her voice barely audible above the sound of their breathing. "And I-I don't blame you. But... but I can't keep doing this anymore. It's killing me to see you with someone else every week and then have you come back to me like this."
Luke's heart clenched at her words, the realization of what he had been putting her through hitting him like a punch to the gut. He had always known that he was hurting her, but hearing her say it out loud made it all too real.
"I'm so sorry, Julie," he whispered, his voice choked with emotion as he held her close, his arms aching with the need to protect her from the pain he had caused. "I-I don't know what to do."
Julie shook her head, tears streaming down her cheeks as she buried her face in his chest, seeking solace in his embrace. "I don't either, Luke," she admitted, her voice muffled against his skin. "But... but I can't keep pretending like this anymore. I need to do what's best for me, even if it hurts."
Luke listened to Julie's words, his heart heavy with the weight of her pain. He knew he had pushed her away time and time again, too afraid to confront his own feelings and too blinded by his own fears to see the hurt he was causing her. And with that, they held each other in silence, their hearts heavy with the weight of their unspoken words. Even though neither of them said it, they both knew this would be the last time finding comfort in eachothers arms like this.
_________________________________________
22 January, 2020
Alex leaned forward, his expression serious as he met Luke's gaze. "We're just worried about you, man," he said quietly. "You've been acting kind of... off lately. And Julie's been MIA for the past couple of days. You two have a fight or something?"
Luke's jaw tensed, his fists clenching at his sides as he struggled to keep his emotions in check. He knew he couldn't tell them the truth, couldn't admit that Julie had walked away from him because he couldn't give her what she needed.
"We just... had some stuff to work out," he muttered, his voice tight with frustration. "It's nothing you guys need to worry about."
Reggie raised an eyebrow, his expression skeptical. "Come on, Luke," he pressed, his tone gentle but insistent. "You know you can talk to us, right? We're your bandmates, but more than that, we're your brothers. We just want to help."
Luke's chest tightened at Reggie's words, the weight of his guilt pressing down on him like a lead weight. He knew he should tell them the truth, should confide in them about what had happened between him and Julie. But the fear of exposing his vulnerabilities, of admitting that he had failed her, held him back.
"I appreciate the concern, guys," he said finally, his voice strained with emotion. "But I think I just need some time to sort things out on my own."
Reggie and Alex exchanged a glance, their concern evident in their eyes. But they knew better than to push him further. They had always respected Luke's boundaries, had always been there for him when he needed them. And even though they couldn't fix whatever was going on between him and Julie, they could offer him their support, their friendship, and their unwavering loyalty.
As Luke turned away, his thoughts drifting back to the night he and Julie had shared that intimate moment, he couldn't help but feel a pang of regret. It had been two nights since he had seen her, two nights since they had laid their hearts bare and faced the truth of their feelings. And in that time, she had been avoiding him, avoiding the pain of their relationship that would never be.
He had tried to reach out to her, had called and texted her countless times, but she had ignored his attempts at reconciliation, leaving him to wallow in his own guilt and self-pity. Luke's reasoning for being afraid of commitment stems from a deep-seated fear of losing Julie, the one constant in his tumultuous life. Despite his love for her, Luke has always struggled with maintaining romantic relationships, preferring the freedom and unpredictability of his rockstar lifestyle. For Luke, music is everything-it's his passion, his purpose, his escape from the chaos of his troubled home life.
Julie, however, occupies a unique space in Luke's heart. She's not just another girl he's infatuated with; she's his rock, his anchor, his best friend since childhood. They've weathered countless storms together, supporting each other through the darkest of times. From Julie's grief over losing her mother to Luke's own struggles with family turmoil, they've leaned on each other for strength and solace.
Luke can't imagine his life without Julie by his side. She's been there for him through thick and thin, offering unwavering loyalty and unconditional love. The thought of risking their friendship by pursuing a romantic relationship terrifies him, especially considering his track record of failed romances. Despite his intense feelings for Julie, Luke fears that committing to her romantically would only lead to heartbreak and disappointment. He's seen firsthand how relationships can crumble under the weight of expectation and responsibility, and he's not willing to risk losing Julie's friendship for a fleeting chance at love.
In Luke's eyes, Julie is worth more than any fleeting romance. She's his soulmate, his confidante, his everything. And while he longs to be with her in every sense of the word, he's paralyzed by the fear of ruining what they already have. So he continues to push her away, keeping her at arm's length to protect both their hearts from potential pain. However now, as he stood in the garage studio surrounded by his bandmates, he couldn't help but feel a sense of loneliness creeping in, a sense of emptiness that threatened to consume him whole.
But he couldn't let them see his pain, couldn't let them see the cracks in his facade. So he plastered on a fake smile, pushed down his emotions, and buried himself in the familiar rhythms of their music, hoping that one day, he would find a way to mend the broken pieces of his heart and make things right with the girl he loved.

jeong jaehyun; detached
warnings: difficult in laws , self deprecating thoughts
you didn't know why jaehyun loved you. you burdened him and people never let you forget.
“you need to accept the fact that he doesn't love you and he never will.” his mother said to you.
it was your first time meeting his parents and all of a sudden the feelings of anxiety you felt before entering her home resurfaced. you felt sick to your stomach, the dinner that she prepared ready to claim its spot back on the table.
he had left for a minute, needing to refill his glass, but time had never felt so long in that moment.
“mrs-” “and even if he does there'll always be a part of him that'll regret not loving anyone else besides you. you don't belong and will never be accepted into this family.”
you took all of her words with your head lowered. how pathetic of you to possibly think otherwise.
you felt an outsider, both his parents staring you down with a sour countenance, baring you with their eyes and sizing you down to nothing more than an object.
you didn't belong here. you didn't deserve this position.
“how are my beautiful family doing,” your fiancés voice shook you out of your thoughts.
his dad greeted him with a chuckle. he was a carbon copy. they all looked so happy in the moment, widened smiles filling their faces - a happy family.
despite being only an arms reach from his parents across the dining table of a deep, rich mahogany, you watched from afar , a heavy reminder of your estrangement from this family.
“you okay there love?” jae caught you out again, your head against the window of his car, invading his space as you never seemed to stopped doing.
the roads were dark and stretched on. the familiar streets felt foreign even as you headed home.
“just thinking,” you responded, smile on your face, but it wasn't like the one you had seen them all share.
he chucked, “i wish i could peer into your mind. always so many thoughts.”
he was right. there was never silence in your mind.
only a raging storm of thoughts you could never articulate. his presence would always soothe the noise, lulling the sounds to a hum.
now it sounded like a chorus.
“you don't belong here” resonated within the confined space, sending you spiralling in your seat.
a familiar heavy lump turned in the back of your throat , along with a faucet welling up in your eyes, your ears ringing as you grit your teeth forcing your tears away.
you barely noticed as the car came to a halt.
“ready baby?” he asked, smiling through tired eyes.
the night had gone so well for him, there was no need for you to wreck his peace; wreck his life.
you reciprocated the action, undoing your seatbelt as he rushed over to open your door. you didn’t deserve him.
the house you two had bought, much to his parent’s demise, now felt cold and strange , as though you were a tenant in someone else’s place.
your clothes hung alongside his, looked as though they took up the space for someone else. smaller, prettier.
his arms that had caged you from harm, and circled you with love now felt as though they didn’t fit yours the way they used to, instead uncomfortably wrapping around folds of skin.
you were no princess but you felt lump digging into your back as you lay beside him.
you didn't feel distressed however. you’d learned to ease into his hold despite how much you felt like a fraud.
it was obvious you two weren't a perfect fit, your dampening aura just slightly repelling his. you weren't an idiot.
you knew you didn't deserve him, but it felt so good not having to prove you're worth something.
you had become accustomed to being his burden, as long as it meant you could believe jaehyun loved you.

Elayna grumbles. She buries herself in the furs closer to Tyland, instinctively seeking out his warmth. Despite the thick masonry of Castamere, the freezing air from the early blizzard seeps into the cracks. It rages outside, sweeping into the mountains with a vengeance; the lake outside completely frozen over and the mines leeching warmth from the castle.
Tyland reaches out and wraps one arm around Elayna, pulling her closer. The night makes the cold worse and intensifies it to the point Elayna wonders how she even tolerated it once upon a time. Being in the warm southern climate of King's Landing for several years makes matter worse; Tyland shivers more than her, remarking about aching bones and constant drafts when they're alone. Elayna teases him for being an old man when the complaining gets to her and makes her feel the cold more acutely.
Elayna sighs, content. Tyland rubs a gentle circle on her arm. She turns her head and kisses him. Elayna throws her leg over him and hooks it on the outside of his thigh. Tyland lets out a hiss. Elayna opens one eye. Her leg shouldn't be too co-
Oh.
Elayna grins sleepily into the crook of Tyland’s neck. His cock twitches against the inside of her thigh.
“Tyland. Are you cold?” Despite the grogginess in her voice, she manages a slight sing-song. Tyland kisses the top of her head.
“Are you offering to warm me up?” He almost slurs.
“If you want.”
“Yeah. I would.”
Elayna hums. She begins to move, the idea of riding him tempting. His warmth fuels her. Elayna slips on top of him. She kisses Tyland. The kiss stays slow, sleep clinging to both of them still. Elayna grinds against him languidly, gasping into Tyland’s mouth as he glides through her folds. Heat builds within her, and it prompts her into taking action. She sits up, taking him in hand.
Cold shocks her. As she moves, the furs drop from her shoulders. Both of them gasp at the sensation; Elayna drops down and pulls the covers back over them. Tyland pushes her as close as possible to him.
“Perhaps that isn't the best idea.” Tyland murmurs. Elayna huffs. She rests her head against his chest, attempting to regroup. Coming out from the warmth of their cocoon isn't an option. Tyland could roll her over, but the freezing air might creep in once more.
“I have an idea.”
“You do?” Tyland raises an eyebrow. Elayna nods. She pushes back slightly onto her knees and begins inching her way back. Tyland lifts the furs up a little to watch her. Elayna crawls and pushes her way further down the bed until her head rests on his hips. She takes hold of his cock and begins slowly stroking him.
“I- oh.” Tyland’s head falls back. His chest heaves as his breathing picks up. Elayna kisses his hip. Tyland groans.
At the first touch, a slow drag, of her tongue on his dick, Tyland’s hands fist into the sheets. Elayna hums. She flicks the tip of her tongue at the top, and Tyland whimpers.
“Can taste me on you.” It's meant to be an idle observation. Tyland chokes, abdomen flexing. His hips move of their own according, and Elayna giggles. She licks him again, savoring every inch. One of Tyland’s hands moves from the bed to her hair, fingers threading through her thick, brown curls.
“Seven above. You will be the death of me.”
“Only a little death.”
Any reply dies on Tyland’s lips as she takes him into her mouth. Elayna hums. Yes. She thinks she likes waking up this way.
