rani and baliyo headcanons

because theyre indian im indian we’re indian. whats not to like? :D

‘rani’ is actually just a nickname and her full name is Radharani (who is also a goddess and important figure in hindu mythology :D). baliyo calls her radhika sometimes tho

Idk if they have a big age gap but I hc that rani doesn’t like being called ‘didi’ (older sister in hindi) much but baliyo uses it whenever he wants to annoy her

”didiiiii lets go and do something stupid :3” (not what he’d say but you get the idea)

baliyo has a slight inferiority complex with regards to rani, he’s known since he was a cub that she was more smarter and ‘important’ as compared to him

he would try to act like he didn’t care but a lot of times he would wish that the circle of life had chosen a great role for him, too

as a cub baliyo would get bullied and picked on a lot (and still dumbed down to this day) and rani would threaten to fight those who bullied him

rani is such an older sister/eldest daughter like its insane guys

baliyo and rani have been strictly told it’s inappropriate to swear especially with their status as royalty but rani occasionally whisper-swears while baliyo does not know a single swear word

that does not mean he doesnt know insults tho!!!! rani has reprimanded him multiple times for calling random animals a bunch of insults like pagal, budhu, etc etc..

i feel like in a human au these guys would use english swears 24/7 but the moment one of them uses a hindi or gujurati swear all their ancestors are appearing behind them for a beating /lh /j

i think when baliyo gets over his inferiority complex he starts to realise just how much rani took care of him and did for him. he’s always loved his sister with his whole heart but the realisation just increases it tenfold

okay these guys are siblings they absolutely name call each other. rani tries to be more sophisticated but she has called baliyo several names before

baliyo calls rani ullu which means fool in hindi (yes it also means owl. yes the character ullu’s name is also Fool which is the funniest shit to me /lh) and thats like. idk a tiny insult (like heck?? but also I dont think little kids should be saying ullu??? idk)

Bollywood Movies Part CCVII

Roommates Sid (Dulquer Salmaan) and Kallis (Rakshan) fall for Meera (Ritu Varma) and Shreya (Niranjani Ahathian) respectively. Sid and Kallis are also criminals, using technology to commit crimes such as stripping computers and selling the parts and then returning the computers with inferior components and theft. When DCP Prathap (Gautham Vasudev Menon) starts tracking their crimes, Kallis and Sid decide to go to Goa with Meera and Shreya and their ill gotten gains. However, they discover that Meera and Shreya are con artists after they leave with the boys’ money.

Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal is a fun movie that has romance, betrayal, a chase, and a heist. I don’t have much to say about it except that it was enjoyable and entertained me. Favorite songs are Sirikkalam Parakkalam, Ennai Vittu, and Kanave Nee Naan. None of the songs have subtitles.

When Champak’s (Irrfan Khan) feud with his cousin Gopi (Deepak Dobriyal) over using the family name for their competing sweets shops causes his daughter Tarika (Radhika Madan) to lose her scholarship to a university in England, Champak decides to help her get in no matter what.

Angrezi Medium is a great film about family, especially the relationship between parents and their children. It’s lots of fun and heartwarming. I enjoyed the parallel shown between Champak and Tarika’s relationship  and Naina (Kareena Kapoor Khan) and Mrs. Kohli’s (Dimple Kapadia) relationship. Favorite songs are Ek Zindagi (English subtitles) and Samajh Ni Pavega (no subtitles, stills and audio).

Anupama Bannerji (Sanya Malhotra) decides to sue her mother Shakuntala Devi (Vidya Balan) for selling Anu’s business properties and keeping the profit for herself. During the settlement meetings for the case, Shakuntala’s rise to fame as “The Human Computer” is depicted.

Shakuntala Devi is extremely biased as the creatives only based the movie on Anupama Bannerji’s narrative and did not bother to do anything other than superficial research into the events in the movie. While I enjoyed learning about Shakuntala Devi, I think the film does her a disservice. Favorite song is Rani Hindustani (no subtitles).

Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt treated fans to a glimpse of her recent trip to Jamnagar for the pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. Alia, who returned to Mumbai on Monday, shared a collection of candid photos on her Instagram handle, aptly captioned "wholesome.”

However, the highlight of the post was the first picture, marking Raha Kapoor's adorable debut on Alia's social media feed. The picture features Alia and Raha, twinning in animal-print outfits, during the second day of the festivities. Raha, captured in a moment of pure joy, beams as Alia holds her close.

The photo dump further offers behind-the-scenes glimpses of Alia's makeup session with her close friend and fellow actor, Kareena Kapoor Khan. The two even posed for a stunning picture together, captivating fans with their undeniable glamour.

This post marks the first time Alia has publicly shared a picture with Raha's face visible, following the couple's earlier request to the paparazzi to respect their daughter's privacy. However, after Raha turned one in November 2023, the couple chose to share a family picture during the Kapoor family Christmas lunch, revealing Raha's face to the world. Alia and Ranbir welcomed their daughter, Raha Kapoor, in November 2022.

Speaking of the professional front, the 30-year-old actress was last seen in Karan Johar’s directorial Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Two weeks after the release, Alia made her Hollywood debut with Heart of Stone, which was directly released on Netflix.

Coming to her upcoming projects, she has a bunch of films in her kitty including Vasant Bala’s Jigra co-starring The Archies fame Vedang Raina. In addition to this, she also has Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War, which also stars Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
