Winning You Back N.RK
·˚ ◌༘₊· ͟͞꒰➳Bad boy!Nishimura Riki x Fem!Reader ✎GENRE! Angst with happy ending ✎SYNOPSIS! 〘WC:5.5k〙 『 ↳✧・゚ Warnings ; moderate use of profanity,Underage drinking ↳˳;; ❝ ʙᴏᴏᴋꜱʜᴇʟꜰᵕ̈೫
Riki Nishimura leaned casually against his motorcycle, the roar of the engine still reverberating in the dimly lit alleyway. The night was alive with the low rumble of laughter, the hum of conversations, and the thick smell of gasoline and burnt rubber. This was his world—the underground racing scene—a space where the rules didn’t matter and every risk was worth the reward. It was here, under the flickering streetlights and the cover of night, that he felt most alive. More Undercut
Riki’s leather jacket clung tightly to his lean frame, his tousled hair falling over his eyes with a careless elegance. His posture screamed rebellion, the way he leaned back with an easy grin, exuding a confidence that came from winning races and never looking back. The streets were his domain, his playground. Here, he didn’t have to pretend or fit into a mold. Here, he could just be.
But away from the intoxicating rush of the race tracks, his life was far from glamorous. At home, his reality was a far cry from the freedom he felt on his bike. Riki’s apartment was a tiny, cluttered mess—an explosion of takeout boxes, crumpled clothes, and motorcycle parts strewn across the floor. The walls were thin, and the hum of city life outside was a constant reminder of the life he couldn’t escape. His mother worked double shifts at a local diner, often coming home too tired to even speak, leaving Riki to fend for himself most of the time. It was a lonely existence, one that pushed him further into the arms of his motorcycle and the reckless abandon of racing.
Tonight, as he lingered in the shadows of the alley, his phone buzzed in his pocket. Pulling it out, he saw a message from Minho, his closest friend and fellow racer.
Message from Minho: “Tonight’s race is going to be wild. You in?”
A grin spread across Riki’s face. His fingers flew across the screen.
Riki: “Count me in. Let’s make it unforgettable.”
Shoving the phone back into his pocket, he took a deep breath, relishing the familiar surge of adrenaline. This was where he belonged, not in a cramped apartment with walls that felt like they were closing in on him, but here, where the night stretched out like a canvas waiting to be painted with speed and danger.
He hopped on his motorcycle, revving the engine. The crowd parted for him as he rode toward the makeshift racetrack—an abandoned strip of road lit by neon lights and surrounded by eager spectators. The air was thick with anticipation, the scent of oil and asphalt mingling in a way that made his pulse race.
Minho was already waiting for him, leaning against a rusted car with a mischievous grin on his face. “Riki! Just in time,” he called out over the noise. “New challenger tonight. You ready to show them who’s boss?”
Riki nodded, his smirk widening. “Always ready.”
But just as he was about to mount his bike, his phone buzzed again. This time, it was a message from an unknown number. He glanced down, his brows furrowing slightly.
Message from Unknown: “You think you’re untouchable? Prove it. Date the student council president for a month, and you win. Fail, and you’re out of the gang.”
Riki’s smile faltered, but only for a moment. He read the message again, a slow grin spreading across his face. A bet. Not just any bet, but one that involved (Name), the picture-perfect student council president. Hed seen her around—always so put together, always so in control. She was the exact opposite of everything he represented, and that made the challenge all the more intriguing.
“Who sent this?” Riki wondered, glancing around at the faces in the crowd. He had his suspicions, but it didn’t matter. A bet was a bet, and he never backed down from a challenge.
Minho’s voice cut through his thoughts. “What’s that?” he asked, noticing the flicker of curiosity in Riki’s eyes.
Riki slipped the phone back into his pocket, his expression returning to its usual confidence. “Just something interesting,” he replied vaguely. “I think I’ll have a little fun.”
The race went on, and Riki dominated the track, his bike weaving in and out with an ease that came from years of practice. But even as he crossed the finish line, his mind was elsewhere—already plotting his next move.
✦ . ⁺ . ✦ . ⁺ . ✦
The next morning, the school was buzzing with its usual energy. Students filled the hallways, moving in every direction, clutching books and murmuring about their assignments and social plans. At the center of it all was (Name), the school’s student council president, moving with purpose and grace. She was known for her impeccable academic record, her commitment to the school, and her kind, approachable demeanor. She was a natural leader—someone who commanded respect without demanding it.
Riki watched her from a distance, leaning against the lockers with a nonchalant posture, his leather jacket still clinging to his shoulders like a second skin. He didn’t often come to school on time—if at all—but today was different. He had a new goal in mind.
He pushed himself off the lockers and sauntered over to where she stood, talking with a group of student council members. He waited until there was a lull in the conversation before making his move.
“Hey, (Name),” he greeted, his voice smooth and confident.
She turned to him, surprise flashing in her eyes for a moment. “Riki?” she replied, eyebrows raised. “What are you doing here so early?”
Riki chuckled. “Can’t a guy come to school on time once in a while without raising suspicion?”
She smiled politely, but there was a cautious edge to her gaze. “Sure, but you don’t strike me as the type to care much about school rules.”
He shrugged. “Maybe I’m trying something new. Besides, I heard you’re pretty good at keeping people in line. Thought I’d see for myself.”
She laughed softly, shaking her head. “I’m not here to keep anyone in line, just to help where I can.”
“Well,” he said, leaning in slightly, “I could use some help with something. How about we go out for coffee, and you can tell me all about what makes you tick?”
She hesitated, caught off guard by his directness. “I don’t know… I’m pretty busy with student council and everything.”
He flashed a charming smile. “Come on, it’s just coffee. What’s the harm?”
There was a beat of silence, and then she nodded, a hint of curiosity in her eyes. “Okay, fine. But just coffee.”
Riki’s grin widened. “Deal.”
✦ . ⁺ . ✦ . ⁺ . ✦
The coffee shop was bustling with activity, the low hum of chatter blending with the hiss of the espresso machine. Warm light spilled from the overhead fixtures, casting a golden hue over the worn wooden tables and mismatched chairs. The scent of freshly ground coffee beans and sweet pastries filled the air, creating a cozy atmosphere that seemed worlds away from the school halls.
Riki leaned back in his chair, eyes never leaving (Name) as she sipped her drink—a caramel macchiato with extra foam, a detail he’d noticed after just a few meetings. She was smiling, but there was a hint of something beneath it, like she was constantly measuring him, trying to figure him out. He couldn’t help but feel amused by it; most people didn’t bother trying to look past his exterior.
“So, what’s it like being the student council president?” he asked, swirling his black coffee absentmindedly. He didn't usually drink it like this—he preferred something stronger, something with more kick—but today felt different. He wanted to seem… approachable.
“It’s a lot of work,” (Name) replied, her smile warm but practiced. “But I enjoy it. I like being involved and making a difference.”
Riki raised an eyebrow, a small smirk tugging at his lips. “And you’re always this… perfect?”
(Name) laughed softly, the sound light and genuine, catching him off guard. “I wouldn’t say perfect. Just dedicated.”
He leaned in a bit closer, intrigued. “Dedicated, huh? To what, exactly?”
She paused for a moment, her eyes drifting to the window where the rain pattered softly against the glass. “To my responsibilities, to the people who trust me… to making things better, I guess.”
Riki studied her face, noting the way her brows furrowed slightly when she talked about things she cared about. He could tell she wasn’t used to talking about herself this way—she was always so composed, so… controlled.
“But what about you?” she asked, breaking his train of thought. Her eyes narrowed slightly, playful but curious. “Why do you do what you do?”
He chuckled, running a hand through his tousled hair. “You mean why do I race? Or why am I hanging out with you?”
“Both,” she shot back, surprising him with her quick retort.
He leaned back again, crossing his arms over his chest. “I race because it’s fun. It’s freedom, speed, adrenaline… you can’t understand unless you’ve been there. And as for why I’m hanging out with you…” He trailed off, letting the question hang in the air.
Her eyes flickered with a mixture of interest and suspicion. “Yeah, why are you hanging out with me?”
“Maybe I’m trying to figure out if you’re really as perfect as everyone thinks,” he teased, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
She rolled her eyes but couldn’t help the smile that spread across her lips. “Or maybe you just want to get on my good side.”
“Maybe,” he admitted, his voice softer. “Maybe I like being around you. You’re different.”
She blinked, clearly taken aback. “Different how?”
“You’re not afraid to call me out. You’re not scared of what people think, or maybe you just don’t care what I think,” he replied, his tone sincere for once. “It’s… refreshing.”
For a moment, they sat in silence, the noise of the coffee shop fading into the background. Riki found himself drawn to her in a way that felt both familiar and strange, like he’d known her for years and yet was only just beginning to understand her.
“So, what’s the real reason?” she pressed, her gaze piercing.
He hesitated, considering his words carefully. “Maybe I just like being around you,” he repeated, a small smile playing at his lips.
She blushed, looking down at her coffee. “Well, I guess I don’t mind having you around either… sometimes.”
They both laughed, the tension breaking for a moment. He felt a warmth spread through him that had nothing to do with the coffee.
✦ . ⁺ . ✦ . ⁺ . ✦
Over the next few weeks, they continued to meet, always at the same coffee shop, always at the same time. Their conversations flowed more easily with each passing day. They talked about everything—his racing, her responsibilities, their families, and their dreams. Riki found himself looking forward to these moments, to the way she made him feel lighter, more open.
One afternoon, after a particularly grueling day at school, (Name) arrived at the coffee shop with her hair slightly disheveled and a look of fatigue on her face. Riki noticed immediately, his playful grin fading into concern.
“Tough day?” he asked, sliding her favorite drink across the table.
She nodded, letting out a deep sigh. “You could say that. The charity ball is next week, and everything seems to be going wrong. Half the decorations haven’t arrived, the caterer canceled last minute, and I’ve got two teachers breathing down my neck about late assignments.”
Riki tilted his head, watching her with a soft expression. “Sounds like you could use a break.”
She laughed humorlessly. “A break? I wouldn’t know what to do with one.”
He leaned closer, lowering his voice to a conspiratorial whisper. “Maybe I could help with that.”
She raised an eyebrow, curious. “And how would you do that?”
“I’ve got an idea,” he said, a mysterious smile spreading across his face. “Trust me?”
She hesitated for a moment, then nodded, a small smile forming on her lips. “Alright, Riki. Surprise me.”
He stood up and offered her his hand, which she took with a bit of reluctance but also with a hint of excitement. They left the coffee shop, the rain having stopped, leaving the air crisp and fresh. Riki led her to his motorcycle, his pride and joy. She looked at it, eyes wide with a mix of awe and trepidation.
“You’re not seriously thinking I’m getting on that, are you?” she asked, crossing her arms.
He grinned, handing her a helmet. “Scared?”
She huffed, grabbing the helmet. “No, just… cautious.”
Riki laughed, a sound that made her stomach flutter. “Come on, (Name). Live a little.”
She hesitated for a second but eventually climbed on behind him, wrapping her arms around his waist. The feeling of his body against hers sent a thrill through her, something she wasn’t quite prepared for. The engine roared to life, and they sped off into the city streets.
✦ . ⁺ . ✦ . ⁺ . ✦
The wind whipped around them as they drove through the city, the lights blurring into streaks of color. (Name) held on tightly, her heart pounding in her chest. She had never done anything like this before, never felt so free and alive. There was a wildness to Riki that was both terrifying and intoxicating, and for the first time, she understood why he loved racing so much.
They eventually arrived at a secluded overlook on the outskirts of the city. The view was breathtaking, the entire skyline spread out before them, twinkling like a sea of stars. Riki stopped the bike and helped her off, watching her face as she took in the sight.
“Wow,” she breathed, her eyes wide with wonder. “This is… beautiful.”
Riki smiled softly, pleased with her reaction. “I thought you might like it.”
They sat down on the hood of his bike, the city stretching out below them. The air was cool, and the only sounds were the distant hum of traffic and the occasional rustle of leaves in the breeze.
(Name) turned to him, her expression thoughtful. “Why did you bring me here?”
Riki shrugged, looking out at the view. “I wanted to show you my world. A place where I feel… at peace.”
She studied his profile, the way his eyes softened as he looked at the city. “And do you feel at peace now?”
He turned to meet her gaze, his expression serious. “Yeah, I do… with you.”
Her heart skipped a beat at his words, a warm blush creeping up her neck. She looked away, flustered but pleased. “I… I’m glad.”
They sat in comfortable silence for a while, just enjoying each other’s company. Riki felt something shift in him, a realization that he was falling for her in a way he hadn’t expected. It wasn’t just about the bet anymore; it was about her—her kindness, her strength, her ability to see through his defenses.
As the evening wore on, they talked about everything and nothing, their words flowing like a quiet river under the stars. When they finally left, Riki felt lighter, more at ease. He knew he was in deep, but for once, he didn’t mind. He just wanted to see where this would go.
✦ . ⁺ . ✦ . ⁺ . ✦
The clock struck midnight, and the world outside was quiet. Most of the town was asleep, their windows dark, curtains drawn. But (Name) lay awake in her bed, staring at the ceiling, lost in thought. She couldn't shake the feeling that something was about to happen—something she couldn't quite put her finger on. The cool night breeze blew gently through the slightly open window, making her shiver.
Suddenly, a soft tap sounded against her window. She sat up, listening. Another tap, then another. Curiosity got the best of her, and she slipped out of bed, tiptoeing over to the window. She peeked out, and her breath caught in her throat.
Riki was standing below, a small pile of pebbles in his hand. He grinned up at her, his eyes glinting with mischief under the dim streetlights. He looked completely out of place in her neatly trimmed, suburban front yard, his leather jacket catching the moonlight.
“What are you doing?” she whispered loudly, opening the window wider.
He chuckled softly, tossing another pebble up just to tease her. “Hey, are you going to come down, or do I have to keep throwing rocks all night?”
(Name) rolled her eyes but couldn’t help the smile tugging at her lips. “You’re insane, you know that?”
“Maybe,” he replied, a playful grin spreading across his face. “But you like it.”
She hesitated for a moment, glancing back at her bedroom door, then back down at him. Her heart was pounding in her chest, a mix of excitement and nerves.
“Come on,” he coaxed, “let’s go for a ride. Just you and me. I promise I’ll bring you back before dawn.”
She bit her lip, her mind racing. She knew she shouldn’t—she had a test tomorrow, and she was supposed to be setting a good example as the student council president. But there was something about the way Riki looked at her, like she was the only person in the world who mattered, that made her want to throw caution to the wind.
“Alright,” she whispered, her voice barely audible. “Give me a minute.”
She quickly threw on a hoodie and a pair of jeans, trying to be as quiet as possible so she wouldn’t wake her parents. Her hands were shaking with excitement as she slipped on her sneakers and crept down the stairs. She made it out the front door without a sound, her heart racing as she stepped into the cool night air.
Riki’s smile widened when he saw her, and he held out a helmet. “You ready?”
She took the helmet, her fingers brushing against his. “Yeah,” she breathed, trying to sound more confident than she felt.
He mounted his motorcycle and patted the seat behind him. “Hop on.”
She hesitated for only a second before climbing on, her arms instinctively wrapping around his waist. The moment she felt his warmth, her nerves settled. The engine roared to life, and they sped off into the night.
The town blurred past them, the wind whipping through her hair. She pressed her cheek against Riki’s back, feeling the steady thrum of his heartbeat against her skin. Despite the speed, she felt oddly safe with him, like she was exactly where she was meant to be.
They rode for what felt like hours, the stars above them and the road stretching out endlessly ahead. Finally, Riki slowed down, pulling off onto a secluded road that wound up a hill. At the top, he stopped the bike and turned off the engine. The silence was almost deafening after the roar of the motorcycle.
“Where are we?” she asked, climbing off the bike and taking off her helmet.
“Just a place I like to come sometimes,” he said, his voice softer than usual. “Away from everything.”
He led her to a small clearing at the top of the hill, where the town sprawled out below them, a sea of twinkling lights. The moon hung low in the sky, casting a silvery glow over everything.
“Wow,” she whispered, her eyes wide with wonder. “It’s beautiful.”
Riki smiled, watching her face. “Yeah, it is.”
They sat down on the grass, and for a while, neither of them said anything. The only sounds were the rustling of the leaves and the distant hum of crickets. (Name) felt a strange sense of peace wash over her, a calm she hadn’t felt in a long time.
“So,” he said finally, breaking the silence. “I’ve been thinking.”
“Oh?” she replied, glancing at him.
He nodded, his expression serious. “I like you, (Name). I know I’m not exactly your type, but… I want to be with you. For real.”
She blinked, surprised. “You’re asking me out?”
“Yeah,” he said, a bit more softly. “I’m asking you out.”
A smile broke across her face, her heart swelling with emotion. “I… I’d like that, Riki.”
He grinned, leaning in closer. “Then it’s a date.”
✦ . ⁺ . ✦ . ⁺ . ✦
The next few weeks passed in a blur of laughter, stolen kisses, and late-night phone calls. Riki and (Name) were inseparable, their worlds colliding in a way neither of them had expected. He began to show up to school more, not caring that his friends teased him about spending time with the ‘goody-two-shoes’ student council president.
(Name) felt herself falling for him more with every passing day. He wasn’t what she had expected—underneath the tough exterior was a guy who was funny, thoughtful, and surprisingly sweet. He made her feel alive in a way she hadn’t felt before, and she started to wonder how she had ever been content without him.
They spent their days together, talking about their dreams and fears, sharing secrets they hadn’t told anyone else. (Name) found herself opening up to Riki in a way she never had with anyone before. He seemed to understand her in a way no one else did.
Riki, on the other hand, was completely smitten. He found himself doing things he never thought he’d do—like turning up to school on time just to see her in the morning, or skipping a race because he knew she had a big presentation and he wanted to be there to support her. His friends started to notice the change in him, but he didn’t care. For the first time in a long time, he felt… happy.
✦ . ⁺ . ✦ . ⁺ . ✦
But secrets have a way of surfacing, especially the ones you want to keep buried.
One day, (Name) was heading to the school library when she overheard a conversation between two of Riki’s friends, Kaito and Jun. She hadn’t meant to eavesdrop, but their voices were loud and they didn’t notice her standing around the corner.
“So, is Riki still going through with that bet?” Kaito asked, laughing.
Jun snorted. “Yeah, man. Can’t believe he’s actually dating the student council president for it. Guess he’s really desperate for that money.”
(Name)’s heart froze. She felt the ground shift beneath her feet, her mind spinning. A bet? The words echoed in her head like a cruel joke. She felt a sick feeling in her stomach, her chest tightening with hurt and anger.
“No way,” Kaito continued. “I thought he’d back out by now. He must be going soft.”
Jun laughed. “Maybe. Or maybe he’s just playing the long game. Either way, I can’t wait to see how this plays out.”
(Name) didn’t wait to hear more. She turned on her heel and walked away as fast as she could, her eyes stinging with unshed tears. She felt like a fool—like her whole world had just crumbled around her.
Riki had asked her out because of a bet. The realization hit her like a punch to the gut. All those moments, all those words… had any of it been real?
She couldn’t stay at school any longer. She needed to get away, to think, to breathe. She rushed out of the building and started running, not caring where she was going, just needing to escape.
✦ . ⁺ . ✦ . ⁺ . ✦
Riki was at his locker when he saw (Name) run past, her face pale and her eyes red. His heart dropped instantly. Something was wrong. He slammed his locker shut and took off after her, his mind racing.
“(Name)!” he called out, his voice frantic. “Wait!”
She didn’t stop. If anything, she sped up, tears streaming down her face. She felt so stupid, so betrayed. How could she have been so naive?
“(Name), please!” Riki yelled, his footsteps echoing in the empty hallway.
She finally stopped, spinning around to face him, her expression a mix of anger and hurt. “Was it all a lie?” she demanded, her voice breaking. “Was everything between us just a joke to you?”
Riki’s eyes widened in shock. “What? No, of course not!”
“Don’t lie to me!” she shouted, her voice cracking with emotion. “I heard your friends. I know about the bet!”
Riki’s face paled. He hadn’t meant for her to find out like this—he hadn’t meant for her to find out at all. “(Name), please, let me explain—”
“No!” she interrupted, her voice trembling. “I can’t believe I trusted you. I can’t believe I… I actually fell for you.”
She turned and ran again, and this time, Riki didn’t chase her. He felt like he’d been punched in the gut, his chest tight with panic. He had to make this right, but he didn’t know how. He had genuinely fallen for her, and now he’d ruined everything.
✦ . ⁺ . ✦ . ⁺ . ✦
For the rest of the week, (Name) didn’t come to school. She didn’t answer his calls or texts, didn’t even leave her house. Riki felt helpless, every passing day a torture. He knew he’d messed up, and now he had to find a way to prove to her that what he felt was real.
He spent every day trying to think of ways to get through to her. He stood outside her house, hoping she’d come out, but she never did. He wrote letters, but they were returned unopened. His friends told him to let it go, but he couldn’t. He wouldn’t. He loved her, and he was going to prove it.
Finally, he had an idea—a big one. It was risky, but he was willing to do whatever it took. He borrowed a speaker system from a friend and set it up in front of her house. It was late, almost midnight, but he didn’t care.
He picked up the microphone, his hands shaking slightly. “(Name),” he called out, his voice amplified through the speakers. “I know you’re in there. I know you’re angry, and you have every right to be. But please, just listen to me.”
There was no response, but he continued anyway.
“When I asked you out, yeah, it started as a stupid bet. But it’s not a bet anymore. It hasn’t been for a long time. I… I love you, (Name). I’ve never felt this way about anyone before, and I’m not letting you go without a fight.”
The neighbors’ lights were starting to come on, people peeking out their windows, but he didn’t care. This was for her.
“Please,” he begged, his voice breaking. “Just give me a chance to make it up to you. Let me show you that what I feel is real.”
For a moment, there was only silence. Then, slowly, the front door creaked open, and (Name) stepped out, her face tear-streaked but determined.
She looked at him, her eyes searching his face. “You really love me?”
Riki nodded, his heart pounding. “More than anything.”
There was a long pause, and then, finally, she nodded. “Okay,” she whispered, her voice barely audible. “One chance. Don’t blow it.”
He grinned, relief flooding through him. “I won’t. I promise.”
And for the first time in weeks, he felt like everything might just be okay.
✦ . ⁺ . ✦ . ⁺ . ✦
From that night on, everything between Riki and (Name) was different. Their relationship, once built on a shaky foundation of deceit, was now raw and real. Riki was determined to show her that what he felt was genuine, that he was willing to do whatever it took to win back her trust.
Every morning, he was there, waiting outside her house with a smile and her favorite coffee, even if she pretended not to notice him. He walked beside her to school, carrying her books even when she insisted she didn’t need his help. Every moment, he found little ways to show he cared—leaving handwritten notes in her locker, each one more heartfelt than the last, telling her things he was too afraid to say aloud.
He didn’t give up. He didn’t falter.
(Name) tried to resist, to guard her heart. But every time she looked at him, saw the sincerity in his eyes, heard the tenderness in his voice when he spoke to her… she felt herself start to soften. She couldn’t deny the warmth spreading in her chest when he smiled at her, that familiar flutter in her stomach whenever he leaned a little too close.
One afternoon, she found him standing outside her student council meeting, waiting for her with an uncertain look in his eyes. “I know you’re busy,” he said quietly, “but can we talk? Just for a minute?”
She hesitated, but something in his expression made her relent. “Okay,” she replied, nodding. “Let’s talk.”
They walked to a quiet corner of the school, the late afternoon sun casting long shadows on the ground. He turned to her, his gaze intense but filled with vulnerability. “I’ve messed up a lot of things in my life,” he began, his voice steady, “but I don’t want to mess this up. Not with you. I’ve never felt this way before, and it scares me… but I’m not going to run from it.”
(Name) listened, her heart pounding in her chest. She had heard these kinds of confessions before, but there was something different about the way he spoke, the way his voice trembled with emotion. “Why me, Riki?” she asked softly. “Why now?”
He took a deep breath, his hands trembling slightly. “Because you’re the first person who made me feel like I could be better,” he confessed. “Like I could be someone worth loving. And I don’t want to lose that… I don’t want to lose you.”
There was a long pause. She searched his eyes, looking for any trace of deceit, any sign that he was playing with her heart again. But all she saw was sincerity and fear—the fear of losing something he had only just realized he couldn’t live without.
“I’m scared too,” she admitted finally, her voice barely more than a whisper. “I’m scared of getting hurt again. But I… I want to believe you, Riki. I really do.”
A slow smile spread across his face, his eyes lighting up with hope. “Then let me prove it,” he said, his voice filled with determination. “Give me the chance to show you how much you mean to me.”
Over the next few weeks, Riki did everything he could to prove his love. He took her on surprise dates, each one more thoughtful and creative than the last—picnics under the stars, late-night rides through the city, quiet moments on the beach where they talked about their dreams and fears. He showed her parts of himself he had never shown anyone before—the parts that were scared, the parts that were broken, and the parts that loved her more than he ever thought possible.
Slowly, (Name) began to let her guard down. She saw the way he looked at her, with a mixture of awe and adoration, like she was the most important person in his world. She felt the sincerity in his actions, the way he always put her first, even when it meant sacrificing something he loved. She realized that he was trying, really trying, to be better—for her.
One evening, after a quiet dinner at a small café, Riki walked her home, their hands brushing against each other as they strolled down the street. She stopped suddenly, turning to face him. “Riki,” she said, her voice soft but firm, “I need to know… why do you love me?”
He paused, taken aback by the question, but then he smiled. “I love you because you’re strong,” he said, his voice filled with admiration. “Because you’re kind. Because you make me want to be a better person. And… because you see me. The real me. The one no one else bothers to look for.”
Her heart swelled with emotion, and she took a step closer, reaching for his hand. “I see you, Riki,” she whispered. “And… I think I’m ready to give us another chance.”
Relief and joy flooded his expression, and he pulled her into his arms, holding her tight. “I won’t let you down,” he promised, his voice thick with emotion. “I swear, I’ll spend every day proving that to you.”
And from that moment on, their love was real—built not on a bet or a lie, but on trust, forgiveness, and the promise of something more. They had found each other in the most unexpected way, but they knew, deep down, that they were meant to find each other.
They had come full circle, from strangers to friends to something more, and now, they were ready to face the world together. Whatever challenges lay ahead, they knew they would face them side by side, hand in hand, with the unbreakable bond they had forged through heartbreak, redemption, and love.
As they walked down the street, the city lights casting a warm glow around them, Riki leaned down to kiss her forehead. “I love you, (Name),” he whispered against her skin.
She smiled up at him, her eyes shining with tears of happiness. “I love you too, Riki,” she whispered back.
And for the first time in a long time, they both felt like they were exactly where they were meant to be.

GREASE-STAINED ᯓ★
Benny Cross x Younger!Reader
wc: 2.2k | summary: Your brother's garage is no fun, darlin', lets go for a drive. | nav ♡ taglist
18+ MDNI. sexual themes. age gap. piv. dubcon. power imbalance. overprotective jhonny. brother's best friend trope. possessive language.
You've been stuck in the garage for hours, the scent of gasoline and engine oil a constant in the stifling heat. Your brother, Johnny, is deep in conversation with his club buddies, their voices a low rumble in the background. You've tried to stay out of their way, fiddling with an old radio and watching the shadows dance on the concrete floor, but boredom has settled in like a stubborn cat. The only thing keeping you from dozing off is the occasional clang of a wrench against metal, echoing through the cavernous space.
"What's up, youngin?" a familiar voice breaks through the monotony. You look up to see Benny, a grease smudge across his cheek, sauntering over. His eyes sparkle with mischief as he wipes his hands on a grimy rag. "Bored?" he teases, nodding at the comic book you've been trying to read for the hundredth time.
Johnny glances over, his gaze sharp. "Leave it, Benny," he says, the warning clear. But Benny just laughs, slapping him dry on the shoulder. "Come on, Johnny," he says, "I'm just messing around. You know I wouldn't let anything happen to her."
The tension between them is palpable, a silent dance of power and protection. You roll your eyes, trying to ignore it, but a part of you is thrilled by the attention. "I can take care of myself," you murmur, not quite under your breath. Johnny turns back to his work, but you can feel his eyes on you, a silent reminder of the rules that hang heavy in the air.
"Johnny," Benny says, his voice low and smooth, "I'm just offering your sister a ride. What's the harm in that?" He leans against a nearby bike, his arms crossed, watching you. You catch the glint of a challenge in his eyes, and something in your gut tightens. "She’s bored,"
You stand up, the comic book forgotten in your hand. "I want to go," you say, meeting Benny's gaze. "I'm not a baby anymore." Johnny looks at you, his expression a mix of irritation and concern. "You don't even have a helmet," he points out, but you're already walking towards Benny.
"Just around the block," you say, trying to sound casual. "I'll be fine." You can almost hear the unspoken words hanging in the air: I can handle this.
Johnny sighs, his shoulders dropping a fraction. "Fine," he says, his voice tight. "But you're here before eleven, and you're not going far." He glares at Benny, who holds up his hands in mock surrender.
With a smirk, Benny straddles the bike and offers you a hand. "Hop on," he says, his grip firm and warm as he helps you onto the back of the bike. You can feel the engine rumbling beneath you, a living creature waiting to be unleashed.
As you wrap your arms around Benny's waist, the leather of his jacket cool against your skin, you whisper, "Thanks for this." He nods, his eyes serious now, and you know he's aware of the gravity of the moment.
"Remember," Johnny calls after you as Benny starts the bike, "be careful." But his words are lost in the roar of the engine as Benny pulls out of the garage, the wind rushing past your ears.
The world outside the garage is a blur of color and light. You hold onto Benny tighter as he speeds up, the thrill of the ride making your heart race. He glances back at you, his eyes crinkling with amusement at your wide-eyed expression. "You okay back there?" he shouts over the engine.
You nod, unable to speak, your cheek pressed against his broad back. The wind whips your hair around your face, and you can feel the heat of his body through the layers of fabric. It's exhilarating, a taste of freedom you didn't know you needed.
Benny takes you on a wild ride through the streets, the buildings and cars passing by in a dizzying array. He weaves in and out of traffic with an ease that makes you gasp, but he's always in control, his movements smooth and precise.
Finally, he pulls over at a secluded lookout, the city spread out below you like a glittering blanket. He kills the engine, and the sudden silence feels deafening. "You okay?" he asks, turning to face you. His expression is gentle now, his smirk gone.
You nod again, trying to catch your breath. Your heart is still racing, but now it's for a different reason. Being this close to him, feeling his body against yours, sends a warmth through you that has nothing to do with the engine.
He reaches up and brushes a strand of hair from your face, his touch surprisingly tender. "You're braver than he gives you credit for," he says, his voice low. You blush, not sure how to respond.
For a moment, you're lost in his gaze, the world around you fading away. And then, without warning, he leans in and kisses you, his lips firm and demanding. You're too shocked to pull away, too overwhelmed by the sudden rush of sensation.
As the kiss deepens, his hand moves to your thigh, his grip tightening. You can feel the edge of something dangerous, something that makes your pulse race even faster.
"You're so beautiful," he whispers, his breath hot against your skin. His hand slides higher, and you realize with a start that he's unbuttoning your Levi's. You're torn between the thrill of his touch and the sudden fear of the unknown.
You lean into the kiss, your body responding despite your racing thoughts. Benny's hand is warm, his fingers deft as they slip inside your jeans, the roughness of his calloused skin a stark contrast to your softness. "Benny," you murmur, not quite sure what you're asking.
He takes your hand and guides it to his crotch, his heart thundering, but his length pulsing under your small hand. "You feel that?" he murmurs, his eyes searching yours. "That's for you."
You nod, swallowing hard, trying to process the sensations flooding your body. You've never felt anything like this before, a mix of excitement and fear that makes you feel alive. You look into his eyes, dark and intense, and you know you're crossing a line.
"Tell me to stop," he says, his voice gruff, "and I will."
You hesitate, your breath coming in quick gasps. You know you should, that Johnny would be furious, but the thrill is too much to resist. You bite your bottom lip, looking away from him, unable to speak.
He takes your silence as consent and continues his exploration, his hand moving with surprising gentleness. You're acutely aware of every touch, every breath, every heartbeat.
"Look at me," he says, his voice a soft command. You meet his gaze, and he smiles, a knowing smile that sends a shiver down your spine.
The world narrows to just the two of you, the city below forgotten. You lean into him, your body responding to his touch, eager for more.
His hand slides further up, finding the warmth of your center, and you gasp, your eyes going wide. He kisses you again, deeper this time, his tongue exploring your mouth as his fingers explore your body.
You're lost in the moment, the vibration of the Harley beneath you, the warmth of Benny's body, and the way his hand feels as it moves up your thigh. "You like that?" he asks, his voice a low rumble that matches the idling engine. You nod, unable to form coherent words, your heart hammering in your chest like a drum.
He continues to kiss you, his other hand reaching around to cup your face, his thumb brushing against your cheek. "You're so sweet," he murmurs, his voice thick with desire. "So innocent." The way he says it sends a thrill through you, making you feel both vulnerable and powerful.
You lean into his touch, your hand sliding up to grasp the back of his neck. His hand moves further, teasing you, and you can't help but let out a little moan. He smiles against your lips, his eyes dark with passion. "You're sure?" he asks again, giving you one last chance to stop him.
You nod, your eyes locked on his, and he kisses you harder, his tongue delving deeper into your mouth. His hand moves with purpose now, his fingers finding the sensitive spot that makes your body arch against him. The world around you fades away, leaving only the sound of your racing hearts and the distant hum of the city.
Benny's hand moves to pull open your jeans, his knuckles brushing against your stomach at the proximity, making you shiver. You feel his calloused fingers slide inside, and you gasp as he touches you in a way no one ever has before.
"Relax," he murmurs, his voice a soothing balm. "Just feel it." And you do. You feel the heat between your legs, the ache that builds with every stroke of his thumb. Your breathing is ragged, and your grip on him tightens.
He whispers sweet nothings into your ear, his breath hot against your neck. "You're so wet," he says, his voice filled with wonder. "So ready for me." His words send a shockwave through you, making you even more aware of your own need.
You nod, your voice a shaky murmur. "Ready." You're not sure if you're ready for what's to come, but you want it, crave it in a way that's both thrilling and terrifying.
Benny's hand moves away from your jeans, and he stands, lifting you with him. He turns you around so that you're bent over the seat of the Harley, the cool leather pressing into your stomach. He takes your wrists and secures them with a gentle but firm grip above your head, leaning in to whisper, "Trust me, baby."
You nod again, the reality of the situation sinking in. This is happening. You're about to give yourself to Benny, here and now. You feel his weight shift behind you, his body pressing against yours, and then he's pushing into you, slow and deep. You gasp at the intrusion, your eyes squeezing shut as he fills you completely.
"Open your eyes," he commands, his voice low and gruff. "Look at me." You do, seeing his reflection in the chrome of the bike's fender. His gaze is intense, holding yours as he starts to move, his hips rocking in a slow, steady rhythm.
You bite your bottom lip to keep from crying out, the pain mingling with the pleasure. He's so much bigger than you ever imagined, and it's overwhelming. "Breathe," he reminds you, his hand moving to your hair, his grip tightening.
You focus on his eyes, the way they never leave yours, and let the sensations wash over you. The pain subsides, replaced by a growing warmth that spreads through your body, making you feel alive in a way you never have before.
With every thrust, you feel yourself getting closer to the edge, the tension building inside you like a coiled spring. "Come for me," he murmurs, his breath hot on your skin. "Let me hear you."
And you do. The sound escapes your lips, a keening moan that echoes through the quiet night. Benny's grip tightens on your hair as he speeds up, his movements becoming more erratic. You can feel his own need, his own desperation, and it fuels yours.
The world around you fades away, leaving only the two of you, connected in the most intimate way possible. His body slams into yours, the leather of the bike seat cool and unforgiving beneath your palms. You clench around him, the pleasure cresting like a wave.
"That's it," he whispers, his voice strained. "Good girl,"
Your orgasm ripping through you like lightning, leaving you trembling and breathless. Benny follows, his own release shuddering through his body, his grip on you never loosening.
When it's over, he holds you for a moment, his forehead pressed to your back, his breathing ragged. "You okay?" he asks, his voice gentle now.
You nod, unable to speak. You're okay. More than okay. You're alive.
He releases you, and you stand, your legs shaking slightly. He pulls you into his arms, kissing the top of your head. "Mine," he growls, his voice filled with possessiveness. "No one else gets to touch you like that."
You lean into him, feeling a mix of emotions: love, fear, excitement, and a hint of sadness. You know Johnny will never understand, never approve. But in this moment, with Benny's arms around you and the city lights twinkling below, you don't care.
He helps you back onto the bike, and you wrap your arms around his waist as he starts the engine. The vibration against your still-sensitive core sends a shiver through you.
As you ride back to the garage, you know that nothing will ever be the same. You've crossed a line, and there's no going back. But for now, you're content to hold onto Benny and let the wind wash over you, the echo of your shared secret a sweet ache in your heart.
When you pull into the garage, the lights seem brighter, the sounds sharper. You slide off the bike, your legs wobbly from the intensity of the experience. Johnny looks up, his eyes narrowing at the sight of you, but Benny just gives him a knowing smile, and he turns away.
You follow Benny into the garage, the sound of your boots echoing in the stillness. The air feels thick with tension, charged with the electricity of what just happened between you. Johnny's eyes track you, his expression unreadable.
"Johnny," Benny says, his voice casual, "I got her back safe and sound." He winks at you, and you blush, hoping your brother doesn't notice. You can feel the heat of the lie, the weight of your secret pressing down on you.
Johnny grunts, not looking up from his work. "Good," he says, his voice tight. "Don't let it happen again."
You bite your tongue, not daring to argue. You know he's just worried, but you can't help but feel a spark of resentment. You're not a kid anymore. You're a woman who's just had her world rocked by the most incredible experience of her life. Benny turns as he walks back to his bike, a smirk on his face "We'll see," he teases, shooting you a wink as he revs the engine, taking off as graceful as an uppercut.

Sleeveless
No warnings, just a bit of heated tension between two people who are obviously very attracted to each other.
This was inspired by seeing Norman wearing his cut off Joy Division t-shirt.
-
Today was a very ordinary, chilled, and relaxed kind of today, almost feeling like a normal Sunday afternoon despite the apocalypse. Daryl, your best friend who you spent the most of your time with, all the time in fact, stands there in the garage tinkering with his motorbike, the sunlight filtering through the dusty windows, casting a warm glow on his tanned skin. His motorhead T-shirt, its sleeves artfully cut off, clings to his broad shoulders and defined biceps. As he leans over the bike, his back muscles ripple beneath the fabric, and you can’t help but trace the lines with your eyes.
That damned t-shirt does things to you within.
His hands, calloused from countless battles with walkers and working, move with a graceful confidence—fingers adjusting bolts, tightening screws. You watch the play of tendons as he grips the wrench, the way his knuckles flex. It’s as if every movement is a symphony, and you’re the sole audience member, captivated by the performance.
The things he could do with those hands, mhmm.
What.
You snapped yourself out of your thoughts but then it hits you: the sudden realisation that this isn’t just admiration for his mechanical skills. No, it’s something deeper, more primal. Your heart races, and you wonder how you never noticed before—the way his laughter reaches your soul, the warmth of his gaze when he catches you staring.
You’re undeniably attracted to Daryl, and the garage becomes a stage for a different kind of tension—one that has nothing to do with bike repairs. The air crackles with possibility, and you find yourself wondering what it would be like to trace those arm muscles with your fingertips, to feel his lips against yours.
But for now, you keep your secret, watching him work, knowing that this newfound desire will forever colour your perception of motor oil and metal. And as he looks up, meeting your gaze, you wonder if he senses it too, he smiles at you, exposing his emotions - a very rare moment which he only shares with the people he cared for most.
“Watcha starin’ at, huh?” His voice, gravelly and deep, wraps around you like a warm embrace. You find yourself speechless, utterly captivated by his every move. Daryl stands there, mere centimetres away, his presence filling the garage. Your feet dangle over the edge of the toolbox you’re perched on, and he steps in between your legs.
His palms, rough from countless hours of tinkering with engines, rest on the tops of your thighs. The heat from his touch seeps through your skin, igniting a fire within you. You’re acutely aware of the tension—the charged air that crackles between you two.
And then, without warning, the words tumble out: “You’re really hot.” You hadn’t meant to say it aloud, but desire has a way of bypassing reason. Daryl blinks, confusion etching his features. “Wha?” he stammers, caught off guard.
Quickly, you backtrack, your cheeks flushing. “It’s really hot,” you correct yourself, hoping he didn’t quite catch your slip. But the heat in the garage isn’t just from the weather; it’s the electric pull between you and him, a magnetic force that defies explanation.

Headcanon: Bakugou, Kirishima, Midoriya, and Kaminari with a S/O that Has a Motorcycle
Katsuki Bakugou
Bakugou loves anything that gets his heart pumping, and when he sees you pull up on a motorcycle, he's immediately impressed. The roar of the engine? The sleek design? Yeah, that’s his kind of thing. He’s all about speed and danger, and now that you’ve got a motorcycle, he’s more than eager to hop on for a ride.
Bakugou doesn’t ask for rides—he demands them. He’s always in control, so it takes him a bit to get used to sitting behind you. But eventually, he comes to enjoy the thrill of you weaving through traffic or speeding down an open road. Of course, he’ll never admit that he trusts you enough to handle it.
It’s only a matter of time before Bakugou starts pushing to get his own motorcycle so he can race you. You can bet he’ll be cocky about it, bragging that there’s no way you can beat him in a head-to-head race. It turns into a competition for who’s the better rider, with lots of teasing and banter along the way.
Despite his tough-guy attitude, Bakugou can’t help but worry about your safety. He’ll nag you about wearing your helmet, making sure your bike’s in good condition, and even insists on checking the brakes himself. He won’t say it outright, but it’s clear that he wants you to stay safe while you’re out riding.
Eijiro Kirishima
Kirishima’s eyes light up when he sees you on your motorcycle for the first time. “That’s so manly!” he exclaims, completely in awe. He’s always thought you were cool, but this just takes it to a whole new level in his eyes. He loves how fearless you are, and it makes him admire you even more.
Kirishima is all for jumping on the back of your bike. At first, he’s a bit nervous, but the second you take off, he’s whooping with excitement. “This is awesome!” he shouts over the sound of the engine. He’s all about that thrill and loves holding on tight to you, feeling the wind rush past him.
Kirishima knows a little about mechanics, so he offers to help with maintenance. Whether it’s oiling the chain or checking the tires, he’s eager to pitch in. It’s another way for him to bond with you, and he wants to make sure everything’s safe so you can keep riding together.
Riding a motorcycle takes confidence, and Kirishima is always your biggest cheerleader. “You’re so brave for doing this,” he’ll say, genuinely proud of how cool and bold you are. He’s always hyping you up and never gets tired of watching you in action, whether it’s riding around or handling a tricky situation with the bike.
Izuku Midoriya
Midoriya is both fascinated and worried when he finds out you have a motorcycle. His first thought is about safety—he’s read tons of statistics on accidents and can’t help but fuss over you. But he’s also amazed by your confidence and skill, and he respects you for doing something so bold.
After finding out about your bike, Midoriya goes into full research mode. He starts learning all about motorcycles, from how they work to the best safety gear. He’ll send you little messages like, “Did you know this helmet is rated the safest?” or “I found some tips for riding in bad weather!”
Midoriya isn’t sure about riding with you at first. He’s nervous about the speed and the lack of protection compared to a car. But once you convince him to try, he realizes how exhilarating it is. He’ll cling to you at first, but after a while, he loosens up and starts to enjoy the ride, even if his heart’s still pounding.
Even though he trusts you, Midoriya can’t help but worry every time you head out on your bike. He’ll ask you to text him when you arrive safely and remind you to stay hydrated and be cautious. His concern is sweet, and it shows just how much he cares about you and your well-being.
Denki Kaminari
When Kaminari sees your motorcycle, he’s instantly excited. “Oh man, this is so cool!” he’ll gush, practically bouncing on his feet. He’s already imagining all the fun things the two of you could do with the bike—road trips, racing, and just showing off to your friends.
Kaminari is not shy about asking for rides. “C’mon, take me for a spin!” he’ll beg, hopping onto the back of your bike without hesitation. He loves the thrill of speeding down the road with you and is constantly asking when you can go out for another ride.
He loves bragging to his friends about your motorcycle. “Yeah, my S/O rides a bike. It’s super cool,” he’ll casually drop into conversation, like it’s no big deal. Kaminari thinks it makes both of you look awesome, and he takes any chance he can get to show you off.
Kaminari’s a bit of a goof, so he might try doing silly things while riding—like taking selfies or sticking his arms out to pretend he’s flying. You have to remind him to hang on properly so he doesn’t accidentally fall off, but he just laughs it off, trusting you completely to keep him safe.

Being Johnny's Girl Would Include
Johnny Davis Masterlist
Warnings: slightly nsfw, but mostly my self indulgent ramblings
♡ Sitting on his lap at Vandals' meetings so you know you're just as important to him as the club.
♡ Watching him sneer at the sight of other men drooling over you, a possessive hand coming to rest over your thigh.
♡ Being draped in his enormous leather jacket that smells of motor oil and aftershave bc he can't stand to see you shiver. Does he also do it to let others know you're his? Prob
♡ Hearing the thunderous roar of his laughter over the engine when you nibble his earlobe during a ride.
♡ Straining to listen for the hitch in his breath when you suggest he fog the windows at the drive-in movies.
♡ The way your heart claws at your throat whenever you watch him race, hiding your face in your hands. Though it's nothing compared to finding the brass knuckles in his glove box, knowing his tough exterior isn't just a facade. His life is dangerous.
♡ That's prob why he appreciates the softness in you. He calls you his "babydoll" bc he swears you look like one in those cute little dresses you're always wearing.
♡ He'll insist on buying you a new one any time your clothes get ruined with the inevitable smear of grease or blood. (Since Benny came around, he's getting into more fights and he's wracked with guilt that he's corrupting you.)
♡ He tries to make it up to you with a stable home life, a nice house and scores of pretty things. You'll insist you don't need anything other than him, but he can't resist indulging that sparkle in your eye when you pass the shop windows downtown.
♡ "Give me a twirl, babydoll," he'll beg when you race down the stairs to show him a new dress, but he really just wants to see the flash of your panties.
♡ He takes you everywhere with him, even when the guys are working on their bikes. Making him beam with pride that you know the use of every tool in the garage. "Ain't my baby somethin'?"
♡ Stealing the bandana he keeps in his back pocket to tie up your hair.
♡ He'll call you every night he's on the road for work, even when he's exhausted and falling asleep over the phone. "Can't sleep a wink until I hear you're alright, you know that."
♡ He's warned you more than once that you'll likely have to go on without him one day, but it breaks your heart too much to think about it.
♡ So when he's home, you're cuddled together as close as humanly possible, practically on top of him. You're only closer when you've just made love and he falls asleep still inside you, stroking your back with soothing words of reassurance, "S okay, I'm here."

KIDD; biker kidd au
summary: fluffy stuff abt this hot headcanon of mine that he'll look so biteable as a biker WHAHDUAHDHS LMAO warning/s: borderline nsfw since some nsfw stuff are mentioned but not there is no occurrence of the actual thing, all fluff!!, super hot kidd ahead nGgghhhhHHh
just imagine, this fucking fridge of a man in a bike with a helmet
you'd always be delighted when he picks you up after work with the bike
he'd look so hot leaning on the bike while waiting for you
you'd have your own helmet and he loves putting it on for you, giving you a kiss before locking the helmet
he'd let you sit behind or in front of him, but he likes it when you're infront. he feels your ass more 😫. pros for behind is that he gets cuddles, would always have a hand on your leg
for the first time when you were shy enough to join him in his bike but is painfully required to hold onto him. you'd insist in holding the other edge of the bike even when he insists on you holding onto him, he'd fucking convince you so much to do so mf engineered for you to be in that position!! so when you would be too shy to comply, he'd start up the engine and move instantaneously a little so you can fucking fall behind him and subconsicously hold onto him. he'd be smirking and tightening your grip saying "hang tight, princess. don't want you falling further than you already have."
the feeling of the breeze on your skin while his arms are caging you and you have the free view of the road
he'd always do the thing where the bike goes vertically (IDK WHAT IT'S CALLED), you'll be scared at first but as he does it more often it's an adrenaline rush for both of you
his favorite position on the bike is when it's parked and you're sitting infront of him and facing him. he'll stare you down, lift your helmet, and give you a kiss that'd last a little too long
he'll love pretend-fucking you in the bike, where whenever it stops he'll just playfully thrust into you with a hand on your hip. always relishes on your flustered reaction, not knowing what to do with yourself. gives you a pat on your helmet after
you'd love to play on his bike, pretend like you'll drive it and leave him. mans will be pouting with that usual scowl
he likes taking you on mountains and parking it there on his previously mentioned favorite position, watching the view or doing something more than kissing 🤪
i just think this fits him so well than having a car, he metal like that
just imagine HIS ARMS while maneuvering that shit 😩
whenever you're in front of him, his titties are such a good cushion on the ride, it's so soft!! even when you're behind, you'll be clutching on them and squeezing
if you're down, he'll teach you how to ride the bike. just expect a very non-patient teacher 😞 so expect to get yelled at (affectionately). he'll even take you out to canvas on finding your own bike, secretly thrilled he'll have you as a biking partner
he loves customizing his bike, he fixes and replaces parts on his own. he'd love saying, "hey baby, look at my new fucking tires.", "look at my cool rims and headlights, love" with a proud, nerdy grin. always cooped up on his garage, tattered with grime and motor oil or some shit, always shirtless in the process. it'd be a hot spectacle tbfh!! you'd have to physically drag him out and ask him to take a bath.
he'd participate in races from time to time, bringing you as his little cheerleader. would use the cash prices for dates afterwards and use the remaining for bike work
would get your name somewhere in the design of his bike
during long trips, whenever there's a chance to stop due to traffic or stop lights, he'd let out a heavy breath and remove his hands from the clutches, you'd massage his shoulders and arms. he'd moan silently ij reliefwhile rubbing your thighs as a thank you, leaning his head down a bit on yours
he also loves (begrudgingly) when you ask him to bring you to places you need to go to. especially when you go out to your friends, he loves to show your friends that you bagged a fucking stud like him but more so show off his bike
omg i have been so absent AKASJDHAHD there was just a lot happening with my life plus this was the only hc i can properly execute, i don't want to post anything half-baked!! i hope this one somehow makes up for my absence ><

Can we see More about your racing AU please?
Looks so amazing and i love It so much
I do suppose I could share the character design line up!
I really just need to finish designing all the go karts, (atleast most are done!) and then I can make proper cards for them and really get into the written details.
To be honest it’s a little hard to just ramble about info and details without specific questions to go off of, so I’ll try my best hhh
for starters, the tent? Not a tent!
It’s actually a stadium, the amazing digital race!
And rooms? Sort of tweaked, they are more like each character owns a personal garage, a large open space where they store their vehicles and then have a loft above that showcases their cozy safe havens. Bed, entertainment, basically a small room in a much larger one.
I haven’t revealed Ragatha, Zooble or Gangles karts yet but I’ll go ahead and just talk about all of them!
Caine:
Caine has a motorcycle, specifically one inspired off of the motorcycle I’m saving up for this summer, a Kawasaki Eliminator. It’s a cruiser, I’m thinking he has a 600cc model but considering Bubble is his right hand man and operates as the races pit crew- he’s definitely tinkered with Caines bike, making adjustments and improving the engine. God only knows what the little psycho did, but it’s a damn good bike that’s not supposed to rev as loud as it does.
Pomni:
Her kart is inspired off a Volkswagen Beetle, seemed very VERY Pomni to me. Her car mimics her outfit design a lot, I might do some color changes to be honest but it will be super minimal, it’ll be final when the cards are done! She definitely stops at the pit the most often despite her placement in a race, are my tires okay?? Do I need my oil?? I know you just filled it but it went down- is anything damaged?? Sweetie you did one lap..
Jax:
Jesus Christ he has a giant supercharger on the hood of his car, and he is absolutely one of those annoying mfs that reva their engine OBNOXIOUSLY loud all the time like he’s super cool. If you’re wondering who most of the skid marks on the track are from, that’s also Jax. Hes the best as drifting, and he loves to show that off. His car isn’t based too much on an actual vehicle?? I stared at Mario karts and pieced it together, but also gave it a very sports car look, the wing on the back fr fr I think Jax would dig that.
Kinger:
OHHSOSK I was so creative with his little wagon,,, it’s castle shaped!! And the best part? Operates like a rocket. In the back past the battlement (the crown looking thing you see atop castle pillars) ARE GIANT exhaust pipes and yes, they do spit fire !! Operates like a rocket. It’s very cool! (Also he has a great muffler because unlike Jax he’s considerate of others hearing 💔) Oh also, he has one of those silly horns, I forgot how to describe it but you can just look at how I drew it on his kart and you’ll know heheh!
Zooble:
Our second motorcyclist, owns a trike! If you don’t know what that is, picture a bike with training wheels but super badass. 3 wheels! It’s inspired off the Harley Davidson freewheeler, I like that design a lot but it’s def not actually a Harley because istg when you buy those bikes your just paying for the fancy name brand- expect it to be in the shop all the time, smh not good- BUT ANYWAY!! The looks are inspired off it though and I can’t wait for this one because it’s just as crazy kooky as Zoobles design is.
Gangle:
Her kart is based on my favorite car, classic style but not too cool because you can bet she has anime stickers on the back and a decal that says “please let me merge before I start crying.” It’s similar to a karmann ghia convertible, 1963. Cherry red (so so pretty) She always has the top down, unless competing because damn you gotta go fast. That car itself is really slow, top speed normally is 68mph, however people have modified them enough to get up to 120mph. Thats still pretty slow compared to others, but her kart only reflects the appearance of the ghia! It’s much faster and I assume Bubble works on all their vehicles if asked to.
Lastly, Ragatha:
Our 3rd motorcyclist. 4 Karts, 3 cyclists. Her bike is a futuristic style, if you want a good idea then look up “icare bike”! Not so much a straight forward posture, she leans over ofc, you’ll likely get the idea when you see her bike. I’ll be honest, I haven’t gotten too into her design yet because I haven’t started drawing but!! Dark blue leds,, everywhere yes yes so cool ❤️
Sorry that’s so much 😭 but yeah! Just need to finish 3 kart designs for you guys and I can make official ref cards 👀

Let’s Motor
I genuinely wasn’t expecting the response to Rev Your Engines that I got, I was feeling very insecure about my writing when I posted it and I’m crying that y’all loved it so much😭 (read part one here)
I’ve also decided on subsequent fics to indicate when I won’t be writing any more parts, so this will be the final part to this series:) hope y’all love it!
Pre-read by my motorcycle expert adopted brother @pixielostboy 🥰
Poly! Lost boys x GN motor expert reader
🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇
You rolled out from under your 1953 Buick wildcat, smearing your hand across your face as you attempted to wipe it clean of oil.
When you’d finished your shift for the night, your boss was kind enough to let you use the shop’s tools to fix up your own ride.
The tune ups were going well, but you still took your Harley to work instead, hopeful you’d run into the strange group of rockers from a few days ago.
You checked your watch and sighed. Lately you’d tended to drag your feet, just in case the biker boys did drop by, but after days of waiting, you’d finally decided they weren’t coming.
That is until you heard the familiar mumbling of four motors pulling up behind you. You chuckled to yourself as you pulled a bandana from your back pocket to wipe your brow and turned around.
Your face fell as you realized the sight in front of you was not the four weirdos you were hoping to meet again, but another group of leather clad bikers.
You sighed and turned back to pack up your things.
“Expectin’ someone?”
You whipped your head around to lock eyes with a smirking Paul, leaning against a broken down truck one of your coworkers had been fixing up.
“Hello again,” you raised an eyebrow as you wiped down your tools, “where ya been?”
“Been busy sugar,” he explained, “didn’t mean we didn’t wanna come.”
Your lips turned up against your will as you shrugged in reply, “maybe I wanted to see you guys too.”
Paul’s face lit up at your words.
“Why didn’t I hear your bike pull up?” you asked.
“Got one of those silent mufflers, bike don’t make a sound,” he told you.
Your brow furrowed in confusion. Silent mufflers? “What?”
“Kidding babe, just didn’t wanna move the bikes from the boardwalk, I uh walked over.”
You scoffed, “isn’t it like a five mile walk?”
Paul rubbed the back of his neck nervously, “yeah I uh, I walk fast.”
You snorted, “whatever Paulie, you want a ride back on my bike?”
“Yes please,” he sing-songed as he practically skipped over to your side.
You mounted your Harley before Paul slid in behind you. “Hold on tight yeah?” you told him.
“Don’t gotta tell me twice sugar,” he said as his arms slid around your middle. He squeezed your sides gently causing you to flinch.
“Maybe not that tight,” you laughed.
Paul moved his hands to rest on your hips as you nudged up your kickstand with your heel before reving your engine and taking off down the road.
The short drive to the boardwalk gave Paul’s hands many opportunities to wander from your hips, but luckily for him you didn’t mind too much.
You parked your bike to the side of Max’s video as both you and Paul slid off and walked toward the three other boys loitering near the pier.
“Well, well, well,” David smirked as he took a drag, “just couldn’t stay away could ya?”
You scoffed in mock offense, “excuse me, but this one,” you jerked your thumb towards Paul, “tracked me down at work for you idiots.”
David threw his cigarette to the ground and stomped it out, “maybe we needed you to fix up one of our bikes again.”
You snorted, “they look fine to me.”
Dwayne rolled his eyes, “sorry about him, we really did just want to see you.”
You blushed as your gaze fell to the gorgeous brunette man’s shoes, “I kinda wanted to see you guys again too.”
“Wanna race?” Marko blurted out, bouncing on his heels in excitement.
Your head snapped up, “race? Race where?” you asked.
“Hudson’s bluff,” David spoke up, “you know it?”
“Yeah I know it,” you paused for a second, “what does the winner get?”
“A kiss from you,” Paul said smirking, as he leaned an elbow on your shoulder.
You rolled your shoulder, causing his elbow to slide right off you, “and what do I get if I win?” you asked.
“Four kisses,” Paul winked.
You rolled your eyes, “if I win I want…” you trailed off as you thought to yourself.
A lightbulb went off in your head, “I want that,” you decided as you pointed at David’s long black trenchcoat.
David’s jaw dropped, not usually one to be caught off guard, “…you want my coat?”
He regained his senses, “absolutely not, no.”
You pouted in mock sympathy, “scared you’re gonna lose Davey?”
He scoffed, “never.”
You shrugged, “then you’ve got nothing to worry about right?”
David bit his lip and weighed his options. There were four of them and only one of you. How could one little human beat four vicious vampires? You didn’t stand a chance.
David smirked and stuck out his hand, “deal.”
You smiled as you shook his hand, “alright then.”
It didn’t take the five of you long to clamor onto your bikes and line up parallel to each other.
“You’re going down,” Marko whispered from the left of you as Dwayne counted down.
You smirked, “we’ll see.”
As soon as Dwayne bellowed “go,” you were off.
You whipped through the beach, kicking up sand as you rode and making a mental note to clean your wheels later. Paul and David had an early lead, with you and Marko not far behind.
Dwayne trailed behind the four of you, but you suspected it wasn’t for lack of ability but more to teach David a lesson. Either way, you appreciated it.
As you turned off into the forest you pulled past Paul, flicking a wave in his direction as you left him in the dust. You smiled as you heard a soft gasp behind you from the shocked blond boy.
You leaned forward, your brow furrowing as you accelerated until you were neck and neck with David.
“Give up? You could still keep your coat,” you taunted him, keeping your eyes trained on the road.
“Not on your life.” he spit through gritted teeth.
“Suit yourself,” you replied as you pushed forward on the throttle, weaving in front of David and pulling up at the edge of the cliff.
David pulled to a stop in disbelief, “you…how did you…” he sputtered as he tried to make sense of what had just happened.
You smiled, “increased the size of my rear sprocket by two teeth awhile back, helps the bike accelerate quicker,” you explained.
“Why didn’t you say anything babe?” Paul inquired as he parked next to the two of you.
You shrugged, “you never asked,”
“Pretty smart if you ask me,” Marko admitted as he joined as well, “I woulda done that too.”
“Looks like you’ve got a jacket to hand over huh David?” Dwayne teased as he came around to David’s side, playing with the hem of the coat.
David’s face flushed red as he realized. He moved to take the coat off when you stopped him, placing a hand on his.
“No need,” you assured him, “the look on your face is a good enough prize for me.”
David grumbled as the other boys dissolved into fits of laughter.
“You’re a good time babe,” Paul nudged you with his elbow, “we live just down there if you’d like to come in for a drink,” he offered smoothly as the others exchanged knowing glances.
“Sure,” you smiled, “I could go for a drink.”

steddie racing au
Okay so I have some family that do drag racing for fun and I went to see them recently and it had me thinking about a steddie au. Also bear with me cause I only know a little bit about this lol. Also also, this turned out to be really long, sorry.
So Wayne Munson buys a racetrack in the late 60s/early 70s just outside of Hawkins
He's slowly working on fixing it up and ends up with a bunch of project cars
Word gets around town and pretty soon, local car and motorcycle guys start showing up
Even some from nearby towns
They all start meeting up on the weekends, bringing their families and kids, having barbeques, etc.
Needless to say, they become a really close little community
Something something Eddie's dad sucks and he ends up moving in with Wayne at like 9 or 10 years old
Cue Wayne suddenly having a traumatized kid that he hasn't seen in years and has no idea how to take care of him
So he starts taking Eddie to the track and of course lets him name it (Hellfire Raceway)
All of Wayne's friends step up and welcome little Eddie to the group
The guys teach him how to fix up cars and bikes and show him the ins and outs of racing
The moms take one look at him, decide he needs to bulk up asap and cook more food for him and Wayne then either of them have ever seen
Plus, the kids teach Eddie how to be a kid again
Eddie grows up covered in oil and grease and dirt, spending all his free time tinkering with things and helping Wayne maintain the track and learning to race
As he's learning to restore and maintain cars, he teaches himself how to do different paint jobs and straight line detailing
And he gets to be good, really good
Eventually racing starts catching on in the rest of Indiana, and the different tracks start having competitions with each other
The Hellfire community is slowly but steadily growing
In communities as tight nit at these, new faces are easy to recognize
So when one Steve Harrington shows up with nothing but his beamer and an odd girl at his side, people are shocked
He's spoiled, rich, entitled and cocky
Or at least, the old Steve Harrington was
This Steve is different
He's quiet and reserved, only offering a small wave and a smile every now and then
He starts at the bottom like everyone else
Works his way through the time trials as he learns
A few months in, Eddie starts to get curious
He's been watching Steve stumble his way through racing
He's also happened to notice that Steve doesn't seem to know much about car maintenance
One day, after Steve's car fails on the runway, Eddie helps him and Robin steer it off the track and offers to look at it
Cue Eddie and Robin having a very animated conversation while Eds tinkers with the beamer
After a couple attempts, Robin finally manages to rope Steve into the conversation too
And wouldn't you know it, Steve's actually a pretty good guy
They end up talking for a few hours and when Eddie walks them back to the track, he takes the time to explain scoring and the different types of racing
Maybe he introduces him to some of the guys
The summer is coming to an end, and Steve and Eddie are avoiding the topic at all costs, afraid of what it might mean, worried that autumn will mark the end of whatever it is they had going
Maybe Wayne has a mechanic shop that he and Eddie run during the week and in the off season
A few weeks after the track closes, Steve shows up to talk with Eddie while he's working in the garage
Watches in awe as Eddie works on engines and paints intricate details onto beautiful cars, always with a steady hand
And Eddie is ecstatic, constantly trying to show off for Steve and flashing a bashful smile when his natural clumsiness shows
Then Eddie starts showing up at Family Video to talk with Steve and Robin
Steals a few snacks and definitely doesn't flirt with Steve
Then Eddie is invited to their weekly movie night where he meets the kids and the rest of the crew
Gets real close with Jonathan and Argyle (maybe some background Jargyle)
Starts DMing for the kids and teaching Will and Erica as he goes
Steve, Robin and Eddie are rarely seen without each other at this point
Wayne is skeptical at first but becomes fiercely protective of Steve and Robin once he really gets to know them
Endgame steddie obviously
They bring the kids to the track the next summer and end up their own little cheer squad
Chaos and antics ensue of course
Maybe they work their way up to the pros or maybe they stay and take over the shop and track together. But either way, they survive everything the world throws at them. They buy a cute little house and grow old together.

Hoverbike
Inspired by @froopa-coopa’s art from a few months ago
After three years stuck in space, and another two roaming the galaxy leading the Blade of Marmora on relief missions, Keith’s hoverbike fell into major disrepair. The hot desert air and sand gunked the machine enough for it to spit black fumes when Keith tried to kickstart it again. That had been a week ago, where after visiting Lance’s family in Cuba for a month they decided to head to Keith’s shack for some needed alone time, but the new parts finally arrived, and Lance was unfortunately jostled awake way too early in the morning to “help.”
He sits cross legged on top of the hoverbike while Keith works underneath. They trade short conversations back and forth, mostly Lance guiding them. But a large part is spent in silence, knowing that the other is there in close range being enough for them. Lance doesn’t mind. He gets to enjoy the warm sun on face and think of his family and realize how glad he is to be back on Earth for an indefinite stay this time.
Keith slides out with grease smeared on his cheek and hair bunched up from welding goggles. It’s a super cute look. Too bad Lance’s phone is charging inside. Keith stretches up his hand above, waving it around a bit, wordlessly.
“What do you want, Mullet?” Lance leans forward, bracing his hands on the leather seat so he doesn’t fall off accidentally.
“Over there. Tool box,” Keith finally uses his words, a bit exasperated, which causes Lance to roll his eyes. It’s not Lance’s fault they never met an alien race that could grant them mind reading powers—which would have been so cool.
Instead, he mumbles, “I don’t speak mechanic.” But he still digs around in the tool box, having a vague idea after watching Hunk for years and Keith more recently. A note of triumph echoes in the back of his throat as he finds the potential tool. “This?” he asks as he leans over the bike, Spiderman style, staring at Keith upside down. He holds out what he thinks is a screwdriver but with an odd shaped head.
“Yeah.” Keith grabs the screwdriver without so much as an ounce of gratitude but Lance doesn’t care. He huffs a laugh until Keith pops back out, remembering himself. “Thanks.”
Lance grins and taps his lips. “You forgot something else.”
“I smell like motor oil. You don’t want a kiss.”
“I always want a kiss, Mullet,” Lance says with ease. His smile grows, almost starting to stretch wide enough to hurt. “If I can soldier through your bad morning breath, I can handle this.”
Keith grumbles something unintelligible but sits up enough that he and Lance are mere inches away now. “You have the bad morning breath,” he mumbles as he pulls Lance towards him. A grimy hand gently cups his face. The smell of sweat, hard work, and engine grease scratch the inside of Lance’s nose. And yet, it’s in his top five of Keith kisses—right up there with their first kiss, their post-sex kisses, and that time Keith caught him by surprise during a Coalition banquet because jealousy had started to get the better of him.
Lance digs his hands into Keith’s tangled hair, pushing back the goggles, and deepens the kiss. Keith’s free hand slides to Lance’s waist, stabilizing him so they don’t both crash to the ground. Every place Keith touches buzzes from the warm contact. Those fingerless gloves brush over a smooth patch of skin, exposed by his shirt falling forward and catching under his armpits. Keith pulls on his lower lip before separating, biting down in a way that causes Lance to mutter a curse and for Keith to break out into a pleased grin.
“See,” Lance says as he knocks his forehead against Keith’s. His chest heaves from the lack of air. Keith always makes him breathless, quite literally most of the time. “You almost missed out on that.”
Shaking his head, Keith laughs. “I’m glad I didn’t.” He pecks Lance’s lips one more time before he disappears under the bike again and Lance returns to lying on top, very content.

I just wanna be a dumb, dull teenager biker… not caring or thinking about anything, only having knowledge is bikes and not even being able to do simple maths, just riding, stinking and farting on my motorcycle….
Do you think you could make it happen? Thanks
Bloody hell! Do you have any idea what's going on here so close to the holidays? Read. The. Fucking. Manual! Select properties, define characteristics, activate. And if that's too much work for you, select one of the default settings. Here's a really cool one. 19 years old, well-trained, C-student throughout. Motorcycle fan. Here you go!
You can't get enough of the feeling of being in a motorcycle suit. Your bare, sweaty skin in tight nylon and leather. And then off you go on your racing bike, onto the highway and steel, leather and asphalt become one with you. It's not the first time that your jockstrap has gotten wet from precum while riding.
You and your bike get hungry. You pull out at the next rest stop. You fill up, take a piss and sit down in the diner. The waitress is on the ball. While the waitress takes your order, you take off your helmet and open your jacket. A gush of musky air comes out. You run your fingers through your long, sweaty locks. The waitress looks a little disgusted. And passes on your order.
Just as your salad with tofu and the cranberry spritzer are served, a group of truckers come in the door. The diner is full. There's only room at your table. Without asking, the four giants join you. The first one asks if that's your bike out there. A rarely stupid question, you are the only guest in motorcycle gear. Your mouth is full and you just nod. "1992 Fatboy?" asks the trucker. The baby is your pride and joy. You nod again. "Difficult bike, but I assume you have experience with the engine". You're still chewing, but you show your calloused and oil-smeared hands to prove it. Yes, your baby is not really reliable. But it's honest American steel. Not some crap from Japan, Italy or Germany. With your mouth full, you say that you used to have a Triumph. But nothing beats the machines from Milwaukee. And then you bite into your burger again. The second trucker orders a large portion of scrambled eggs and bacon, gives you a fist bump and says. "Damn right, buddy. America first!" You burp and confirm "America first!"
Half of your burger is hanging in your beard. You're still hungry. When the truckers' food arrives, you order a portion of the ribs. And another beer. You ask the guys if they want another one. The ribs are delicious. They are dripping with sauce. Your fingers are not only oily, but also covered in fat and sauce. You wipe them on your jeans and the hair on your belly. Your next round of beer is coming. You toast with an "America first", take a big gulp, look at each other and burp simultaneously. You like these guys. Big honest heroes of the highway. You pay for your meal at Lucy's and promise to come by again soon. You say goodbye to your friends and go out to smoke a cigar before continuing your journey. And you really need to piss. But you'd rather do that behind the shed.
Hehehe, you already know why you don't piss in the toilets. It doesn't take long for one of the truckers to join you. He doesn't smoke a cigar. But what's in his mouth is hardly any smaller

Some information about Roger Williamson from the book 'The Lost Generation'
Roger was inspired to race by his father who raced speedway bikes
Him and his father raced together
A local, Tom Wheatcroft, who wanted to help a local boy offered to buy a new engine for Roger Williamson. Later Tom's wife opened their front door to find Roger covered in dirt and oil holding a ticket to Silverstone for Tom.
When Tom arrived, Roger had crashed and thought it was the end of his career. Tom sponsored him and got the car fixed for the race.
Roger would be cost conscious and refused to get things he didn't need even if Tom implored him to.
Roger never took his support for granted
"He always had time for you, and had absolutely no side. If he said "hello" to you once, he'd always acknowledge your presence there after however tense the race environment was."
"He never came in and said it was the car, never blamed the far. If anything weren't right, he thought it were him that were off."
Roger would take his girlfriend around the track before he raced so they knew what was going on.
"He was, in many respects, quite shy"
"I've always liked red wine, and when we would go out for a meal he'd say, "I suppose you want some of that red stuff?" He rarely drank wine, but if he had some he'd say, "Hmm it's not bad is it?" He was never a great drinker, and he used to tease me and say, "you'd better choose the wine, I haven't got a bloody clue what I am doing!" - his girlfriend
He wore a flat cap as his personal gimmick
His girlfriend has always associated the song 'Killing me softly with his song' by Roberta Flack with him as they drived around listening and singing to that song one day
"The one thing I actually fear more than anything is being burned alive." - Roger Williamson
#it was so hard reading this book#but there was so much information about Roger Williamson that I am thankful#because he deserves to be remembered#he was such a sweet guy#classic f1#f1#formula one#formula 1#vintage f1#roger williamson

Accidents
Starring: Steve Harrington x Racer!reader

Eddie had just introduced Steve to motorcycle racing. This was the first time Steve went alone, and you caught his eye. You had been there on the other races Steve had seen with Eddie, too. But today was different. Today, you managed to win 2nd place. But you were upset about it. As usual, you talked to Steve after the race.
Today was a close race and you were disappointed to finish second. But you were also surprised to see how happy Steve seemed when he was talking to you. He smiled and laughed and seemed to really enjoy your company. It felt good to be noticed and appreciated.
As the other racers dispersed, you and Steve remained and stood at the finish line. You were disappointed in your performance and couldn't hide the frown that spread across your face.
"I can't believe that dude made it past me on that last stretch!" you exclaimed. "What the fuck!? How did he get such good timing? I could have sworn I'd be first, and he pulls that off. God dammit." You grumbled, annoyed. You couldn't hide your bitterness. It was clear to Steve that you were disappointed in your performance. He stood next to you and listened. Maybe he was hoping to comfort you, or maybe he just wanted to hear you vent.
"Yeah, that was a crazy finish. I don't know how he managed to get by you in the end. I really thought you had it," he replied. His tone was reassuring, and he offered no criticism. "Exactly! And it was with what, 14 milimeters? How the hell did that work?!" You jeered.
"I don't know, but he made it work," Steve replied with a laugh. "Sometimes it's the little things that make the difference. Maybe in this case it was one inch or 14 millimeters, whatever worked for him. But you can't deny that he got past you one way or another. You still showed your stuff out there. You're a tough racer."
You sighed and picked your helmet up. "Well, tough clearly isn't enough."
"Hey, don't be so hard on yourself. You're a top rider, that's for sure." Steve tried to soften your disappointment. But he could hear that you were still upset. "I know, but I'm disappointed.. I should've won that!" You groaned.
"I get it. It was a tight race, and you came in second. I know how competitive you are. So I totally understand that you wanted the win. But just try to stay positive," Steve said, putting a hand on your shoulder.
"Yeah.." you sighed. "I got another race tomorrow.. wanna help me check my bike?" You went over to your bike and rolled it over to where Steve stood. "Sure," Steve replied. He couldn't help but notice that you were looking a little down. He knew how much you cared about this race, and you seemed disappointed in your performance.
So he wanted to try and help you out if he could. He walked over to your bike and started checking it out, examining the engine and making sure everything was in order. "Gotta fill her up.. there'd too little gas to last her tomorrow.." You muttered to yourself as you checked the oil and gas.
Steve stood by and watched as you worked. He was happy to let you do what you needed to do, and he was just there to help out if he could. But seeing you focused on your bike put a smile on his face. It was clear to see how much you cared about this race, and he could feel your disappointment.
"So, how do you think the bike will do in tomorrow's race?" he asked after a minute. "Gotta put some gas in her, then I think she's ready.." you answered quietly as you were still focused on your bike.
Steve smiled and waited for you to finish. He was enjoying watching you work. The way you focused on your bike brought a certain calmness to the area. And it was satisfying to see how much you cared about it.
"So, ready for tomorrow then?" he asked as you finished up. "Yeah.. let's go, I got some gas cans back in the tent." You said and started rolling your bike back.
"Let's go," Steve replied and followed you back toward your tent. He was curious to see what your tent setup would look like. And he was also curious to see what kind of gas cans you had.
To say it simple, your tent had everything needed to fix a fucking totaled bike, if needed to. You had parts, oils, motors, and gas. Wow, your tent was like a bike shop on wheels. You had everything necessary to fix just about any kind of bike issue. Steve was impressed by how organized and stocked up you were. It was clear that you were serious about motorcycle racing. And it was impressive to see.
You popped open the gas tank on your bike and started pouring. Steve watched as you filled the gas tank and made sure it was filled all the way up. He noted your efficiency and attention to detail. And he was also curious to see what kind of gas you used. Some riders liked to fill their bikes with the highest octane fuel, while others preferred a more regular variety.
After filling your bike up, you double-checked the breaks. Since they seemed fine, you walked over to Steve. "You wanna go grab some food? Dunno if I want whatever I have in the trailer." You chuckled.
Steve chuckled and replied, "I'm actually starving. So I'll take any food I can get." He thought about what kind of food might taste good right now, and he instantly thought of burgers.
"How about a couple of burgers? I'm in the mood for some grease right about now."
You nodded. "Yeah, that sounds heavenly.." you chuckled and walked over to your bike. "If we just take off the back parts and put on the license plate, we can drive it on the road.." you said, and started working.
Steve watched as you grabbed tools to remove parts and install the license plate. It was a simple process, but he was impressed by your efficiency and ability to multitask. And he was also curious to see how the bike would look with the license plate attached.
"Get on.. and yeah, you're riding back." You chuckled and mounted your bike.
Steve laughed and replied, "Yes, ma'am." He didn't really mind being the passenger. If it meant going to get some burgers, he was all for it.
He hopped on the back of your bike and made sure to hold onto you tightly. "So let's go."
You revved the engine a little, just to scare him before actually driving. Steve laughed when you revved the engine. For a second, he thought you were going to take off for real and leave him behind. But it was just a joke, and he laughed along with you.
"Okay now, seriously. Let's go get some food. I'm starving."
You chuckled and stated driving. When you saw that it was a clear road with no cops, you made sure Steve was holding onto you tightly, before going way fucking over the speed limit. Steve couldn't help but shout in excitement as you sped down the road. He gripped tightly to your waist as you pushed the bike's engine to the max. The wind blowing in his face made it a bit difficult to hear you, and he couldn't stop laughing.
You laughed with him as you practically raced whatever winds were there. Steve was laughing, but deep down he was also a little scared. The bike was going way too fast, and he wasn't sure how much control you had over the situation. But he trusted you and was enjoying the rush of adrenaline he felt.
He had to shout at the top of his lungs to be heard above the engine noise, "Are you trying to kill us?"
You chuckled. "Maybe!" You yelled back before starting to slow down. "Just kiddin!" Steve laughed. Despite how terrifying it was, he couldn't help but love your sense of humor. You could joke around even when you were going way over the speed limit. That was something he admired about you.
It took a few seconds for his heart to slow back down. He tried to catch his breath, but the adrenaline was still flowing through his body.
"You okay, Steve?" You asked with a chuckle, even tho you got concerned. Steve finally caught his breath and replied, "I'm good, I'm good. I haven't had that much adrenaline pumping through me in a long time." He was grinning from ear to ear.
"I just want to say, it takes balls of steel to pull off that kind of speed on a bike. I mean, you were flying out there."
You laughed. "Well, we aren't dead, and we get burgers, win-win..!" Steve laughed along with you. "Yeah, you're right. I'll take a burger over death any day. And if you keep pushing that bike like that, we could end up in a burger place in another city."
You chuckled. "Yeah, I've done that before." You stopped the bike and pulled down the kick stand. "You ready?" You asked and got off the bike, taking the keys out. "Yeah, but I'm ready for a little less chaos this time," Steve replied with a laugh. He swung his legs out and got off the bike, stretching his legs after the intense ride.
"Where are we going for burgers?" He asked, following your lead. "Right here?" You asked and pointed to the obvious fast food restaurant.
Steve laughed. "I guess we don't always have to overthink things."
He followed you into the restaurant, his stomach growling and looking forward to a nice, juicy burger.
Steve and you sat down at a table with your burgers and fries. It felt good to finally settle down after the rush of adrenaline on the bike. But the burgers tasted just as good as you expected them to after all the anticipation.
"So, you still excited for the race tomorrow?" Steve asked, chewing a big bite of his burger and enjoying the food. You just nodded since you were eating like a starved man.
Steve chuckled at the way you were attacking your food. It was clear that you were hungry. But he also knew you were serious about the race.
"Can I ask you something?" He took another bite of his burger. You nodded once again.
"So, what if you lose tomorrow?" Steve asked. It wasn't the happiest thought to ask, but he was curious. "You know, what if some other guy manages to pass you again in the final stretch? How would that make you feel?" You swallow your food. "Well, last time I fucked up twice, I had to buy a new bike.." you chuckled and took a sip of the soda.
Steve chuckled along with you. "Yeah, I get it. It would suck to lose the race and also have to buy a new bike afterwards. What was wrong with your last one anyway? Was it just too messed up to keep using?"
You shook your head. "No, I got real mad."
"So you destroyed your bike?" Steve asked with a chuckle. You seemed like you had a bit of a temper when it came to this bike competition. You chuckled and nodded.
Steve laughed again and chewed another bite of his burger. He was impressed by the way you handled your frustrations. You clearly weren't afraid to let your anger out when needed. But you still managed to keep your composure when actually on the bike.
"So, what else do you do besides race?" He asked, finishing up the last piece of his burger. "I actually fix other bikes, too.. and I often go on late night rides.." you explained. Oh, how you loved late rides in the city. It's so much calmer, and it takes your mind off of everything.
"You fix other bikes, too? I wish I knew how to do that. Maybe you should teach me something about bikes sometime. Not that I could ever fix one on my own, but it would be nice to pick up a skill or two." Steve said, leaning back in his seat.
"Late night rides sound nice. You're able to just clear your mind with nothing else to worry about. Not much traffic to deal with either."
You nodded. "Yeah.. when my sister got taken away by the child services, I just.. went for a ride.. but I kinda fucked up.." you sighed. Steve's laughter immediately stopped when he heard your story. He looked at you with a look of sympathy.
"Wait, that's what happened?" He could hear the hesitation and sadness in your voice. He wasn't sure if you wanted to elaborate or not. "I uh.. crashed." You chuckled. Steve couldn't help but laugh a little. You had a way of trying to make these situations a little more bearable. But he still felt bad for you.
"You kinda crashed?" He asked. "But you still kept going after that?" You nodded. "Yeah, it didn't impact me too much.. I mean, I only broke my leg cause I got stuck under the bike."
Steve stopped laughing the moment you said "broke my leg." His face went serious, and he sat forward in his seat.
"Wait, you broke your leg?" The thought of you with a major injury suddenly made him worried about your safety on your bike.
His face showed his concern. "And you still kept going?" You nodded. "Yeah! I'm not gonna make it to Isle of Man TT if I don't keep going!" You smiled. Steve couldn't really argue with that. A broken leg wasn't going to stop you from achieving your dreams. But the thought of you crashing and getting hurt like that still worried him.
"You are one hardcore dude, you know that?" He chuckled a little. But his concern for your safety was still visible in his eyes. "Yeah, well.. I got a goal." You chuckled and brushed some of your hair away from your face before finishing your drink. Steve felt a great amount of respect for your commitment. That dedication to your goal was inspiring.
He finished his drink as well and set his cup down on the table. "So, you really think you're going to make it to the Isle of Man TT?" He didn't want to say it, but the thought of you competing in such a dangerous race was a bit disconcerting. "Yeah!" You chuckled. "I got the skills, I almost have the speed, I'll make it!" You smiled.
Steve couldn't deny that you certainly had the talent it takes to compete in a race like that. And you clearly had the will and dedication. You were doing everything in your power to achieve your goal.
"I believe in you," Steve said with a smile. "I know you'll make it to the Isle of Man TT and become one of the best motorcycle racers in the world."
You chuckled. "Wanna go straight back or do you wanna go do something?" You asked him. Steve thought about it for a moment. He would love to spend more time with you and try to get his mind off the race. And they were getting along really well. But he also didn't want to tire you out before the big race.
"You know, I don't want to keep you out too late. So, if you're ready to go back, we could head that way. Otherwise, I'll gladly follow your lead."
You nodded. "We can surely go back.. I mean, I should train a bit, anyway." Steve was pleased to hear it. He knew he was being a little overprotective, but he wanted to make sure you got a good night's rest before the race tomorrow.
"Sounds good. Let's head back and get some sleep. Race starts early in the morning, right?" He got up and headed toward the door.
"Yeah." You nodded and put the trash in the trashcan by the exit. Steve put his cup in the trash as well. He had another reason for wanting to get back early. After hearing your experience losing a sister, he was worried that you might fall asleep thinking about it. He didn't want you to be sad and miserable going to sleep.
He looked at you with a smile and asked, "Ready to go?" You nodded and mounted your bike, putting the keys. "Wait, you should have the helmet.." you muttered and handed it to him. "More dangerous for you if we crash.. since you don't know how to properly crash and get less injuries.."
Steve gave you a puzzled look. He didn't know how to properly crash? Was there a certain way to crash on a motorcycle that caused less damage?
He looked back at you in a bit of confusion and took the helmet from you. "All right, I'll wear it and try my best to figure out how to crash properly." He joked.
But you had some plans. There were no cops and everyone knew what that meant. You sped like fucking hell back, making sure Steve held on the entire time. Steve let out an audible gasp as you suddenly sped up. His fingers tightened around your waist, and he tried to hold on as tightly as he could.
He laughed when it really hit him what you were planning to do. There were no cops or anyone to stop you. It was a perfect time to see how fast this bike could really go.
"Come on, baby!" You yelled as you got near the same speed as today's race. Steve laughed as he felt the intensity increasing. The adrenaline rush was becoming very real and very frightening.
But he also couldn't deny that the adrenaline pumping through his veins was exhilarating. His entire body was on edge, but he felt alive. He didn't want it to stop. What scared him was that you put your hands up in the air.
Steve's heart dropped to his stomach when you put your hands up in the air and let go of the handles. He had his elbows squeezed around your waist, clinging to your body.
He started shouting out of pure fear. "WHAT ARE you DOING?!" You chuckled and put your hands down again and held onto the steering. Steve let out a sigh of relief. A few seconds of your hands being off the handles felt like an eternity to him. He was grateful that you put them back in place and managed to bring the bike back under control.
"Jesus Christ, why would you do that?" He yelled. "It's fun! But don't try it!" You yelled back. Well, this was a short trip, cause you were already back. Steve's breath was heavy as he tried to shake off the adrenaline rush. But he also couldn't stop laughing in the moment.
"Yeah, I'm definitely not going to try that." He chuckled.
He was still holding on to you tightly, and he could feel the heat radiating from your body. The short ride was still intense enough to make him sweat a little. "You sure you're okay? You're squeezing my waist.." you chuckled and turned off the bike.
Steve laughed at your comment as he finally let go of your waist. His body was shaking a bit from the intensity of the ride, but he was fine.
"Yeah, I'm good. I was just holding on tight." He hopped off the bike and walked around to look at your face.
"You know that race tomorrow is going to be just as intense as this, right?" He laughed. "Yeah, exactly!" You laughed and parked your bike in the tent.
Steve laughed along with you. The idea of a race being more intense than what you'd just done was mind-boggling to him.
"So you really have faith that you can hit that finish line and cross it ahead of everyone else tomorrow?" He asked, raising an eyebrow to show you that he was challenging your confidence.
"Yeah, I hope so." You smiled and walked inside the trailer. Steve followed you inside the trailer, and he took a seat on the bed. He was still a bit shaken up after the ride, but he was ready to get some rest before the big race.
"Well, I hope so too, and I'll be cheering for you tomorrow. But that race might be a tough one, especially if a lot of experienced riders are going to be there competing."
You nodded. "Yeah.. by the way, do you wanna sleep in the bed or the sofa? I can gladly take the sofa." You asked. Steve raised an eyebrow when you made the offer to sleep on the couch instead of the bed. He wasn't sure how to take it. Was it weird to sleep in the same bed? Or was it more weird to sleep separately?
"Uh, I mean, do you mind me sharing the bed with you?" He asked nervously. "No, no, that's fine." You said, blushing a bit.
Steve laughed a little bit and smiled as you blushed. He had a feeling that you were a little embarrassed. But he was glad that he wouldn't have to sleep on the couch alone.
"All right, I'll be sure to stay on my side of the bed," He said jokingly. He hoped that you wouldn't take it the wrong way.
"Can I ask one last thing before we go to sleep?"
You hummed. "Mhm?" Steve hesitated for a second, not sure how to phrase his question.
"Is it weird if I put my arm around you for the night? I'm a little too cold to fall asleep without some sort of warmth. And I think you're my closest heat source at the moment." He laughed awkwardly. "That's fine.. I'll just change out of my suit, and I'll join ya." You chuckled, grabbed some pj's, and walked over to the bathroom.
Steve laughed and waited for you to change. He was impressed by how comfortable you were with this situation.
But now the nervous thoughts were flooding back into his mind. It was clear that you were changing in the bathroom as a precaution, and he didn't want to overstep any boundaries. However, the idea of having you so close was making him feel a bit flustered.
Steve tried to take some deep breaths to calm his nerves and remain as relaxed as he could. You came back quite quickly and joined Steve in bed.
Steve smiled as he saw you get into bed with him. You looked even sexier in your pajamas than you did in the leather racing suit. But he made sure to keep that thought to himself.
He let out a nervous laugh when you got into the bed and got close to his body. You were the closest thing to him currently, and he felt the heat start to seep over to his side of the bed.
"So, are we just going to sleep like this for the night?" He asked, wanting to get some clear expectations. "If you're comfortable with it.." you whispered. You looked tired as you slowly cuddled closer to him, resting your head on his chest.
Steve felt his heart skip a beat when he felt you lay your head on his chest. It was so close to his heart. Your breath was also on his neck. It felt very intimate.
"I'm... comfortable with this." He said softly and hesitantly.
Your warmth was soothing to him, and it felt nice to have another person so close to him. It was the most comfort he'd felt all day, and all the nervousness from earlier began to disappear.
Steve woke up the next morning feeling a bit groggy, but still feeling very excited for the big race. He looked over at you sleeping next to him.
His arm was wrapped around you and felt very natural in that position. He gave your waist a light squeeze to wake you up a little.
"Wake up, sleepy head. The race starts in an hour."
You groaned, turning away from him. Steve laughed when he saw you groan. You were definitely still a little tired. But you knew that the big race would start soon, so it was time to get up.
"Come on, the adrenaline rush will keep you awake during the race. I'll help you get your suit on, but you need to wake up first. It's almost time."
He tried to shake you gently to get you awake. "Finee.." you mumbled and sat up, rubbing your eyes. Steve chuckled as you rubbed your eyes. You still looked a little tired, and he couldn't blame you. It was a pretty early morning race anyway.
He looked at you as you sat up, and he couldn't help but notice how beautiful your face looked in the morning light. You always looked beautiful, but this was somehow different. He knew that maybe his mind was playing tricks on him.
"Do you want some coffee before we get going?" He asked, trying to keep his tone light. "No, it's fine.." you murmured as you slowly got up. Steve chuckled at your response. He was impressed that you could wake up and just get up and go without needing coffee to get your day started.
He got up and started to look through your dresser for your race suit. He couldn't help but notice that he was really looking forward to seeing you back on the bike today.
"Steve, Steve.. racing suits hang." You chuckled and grabbed the suit hanging over your mirror. Steve laughed when you reminded him where the race suit was hung.
"I haven't participated in a race since high school. So give me a break on my knowledge of proper suit hanging standards," he joked with a playful tone.
He waited to see how you'd put on the suit. The leather suit looked even more intense than it had yesterday. It was impressive how much time you'd spent getting ready just for this race. Without thinking, you stripped off your pj's, making you stand in your bra and panties, then slowly put on the racing suit.
Steve tried not to get his eyes stuck as you removed the pajamas and put on the suit. He didn't look at your body, and he was glad that you were comfortable changing in front of him.
He looked up when you were just in your bra and panties, and his face got a little red when that happened. The sight of you in those two simple things was a lot more enticing than you were wearing the leather suit. When you finished putting on the suit, you looked at him. "Are you okay?" You asked, not noticing the way he blushed.
Steve laughed nervously when you asked him if he was okay. He wasn't expecting you to ask him that, and he was worried that you had noticed his blush.
"Um, yeah.. just fine." He tried to keep his tone lighthearted and relaxed.
Your body in the outfit you had on definitely brought back those thoughts of intimacy that he'd felt last night. But he pushed those thought aside and made sure to focus on the task of the race and supporting you every step of the way.
You grabbed your helmet, put on your shoes, and walked out to the tent. Steve followed you out of the tent and out to the bike. He watched you put on your helmet and shoes.
Your entire attire looked badass and intimidating. But it also made you look absolutely beautiful, in a fierce and powerful way. He tried not to stare too deeply into your eyes, but he was truly captivated by this vision of you.
Steve had been watching you closely throughout the race. His eyes were fixed on you, watching how gracefully you manoeuvred your bike in the curves. Your skill was very impressive, and it was clear to him that you were destined for greatness in this sport.
He couldn't help but be proud of you. You were going to finish that race and cross that finish line. And Steve was going to be there to see it all.
But just as he thought you'd cross the finish line in first place, your bike caught on fire out of nowhere. You got stuck under the bike. "This was it. This was the end for me." You think to yourself as the flames grow hotter and start to consume your upper body. At first, the other riders didn't seem to notice the flames that were now engulfing your upper torso.
Once they did, they all tried to save you, but you were stuck. They tried using fire extinguishers, but it seemed to be of no avail. The medics came as well, but there was nothing they could do. It seemed like all hope was lost. Steve's heart dropped as he watched you get engulfed by the flames. His first instinct was to jump on the bike and try to pull you off, but he saw other riders already trying to do that. It seemed like nothing was working.
The medics were there now and trying their best to put out the flames and save you, but they were too late.
Steve's eyes welled up as he watched all of this happen. It was a sudden and unexpected turn of events. He couldn't believe you were about to die right in front of him. "Fuck- help!" You yelled out, trying to reach someone. Steve rushed over to you as soon as you yelled. The medics and bikers were still trying their best to put out the flames, but the fire kept growing.
He was horrified to see you in so much pain and agony.
"I'm here!" He yelled to you as he reached your body. He tried to pull you away from the fire, but it was too hot. He couldn't hold on for very long. "Steve!" You cried out, trying to get your legs out from under the bike. Steve couldn't bear to see your body go through this much pain. His heart was breaking as the flames seemed to grow hotter and hotter.
He kept trying to pull your legs out from under the bike. It was too heavy, and it was impossible to move an inch. But he couldn't let you die in front of him like this. "Take my hand, take my hand!" You yelled out to him as you cried. Steve was scared and in such a state of panic himself. His breath was shallow and his heart was pounding out of his chest.
He reached his hand out to you and grabbed your hand tightly. Your skin was burning, and he was afraid to hold onto it for too long. But he did not let go of your hand as the medics continued trying to put out the flames. You held onto Steve tightly and tried to drag yourself to him. Steve was pulling as hard as he could to try and pull you closer. But the burns from the heat on your body were making it difficult for you to move.
The medics and other racers continued trying to save you, but time was running out and the flames just kept growing.
Steve could not let this be the last time he had ever seen you. He kept pulling with all his might, desperately trying to pull you away from the flames. "Please.." You cried as you gave up. Steve kept pulling until the very last moment. The flames had almost completely engulfed your body now, and the medics were getting increasingly frantic.
But Steve could not let go of your hand, even now. He wanted to be the last person you saw in this world. If this was really the end, he wanted to be the last one standing with you, even if there was nothing he could do to save your life. You tried kicking your bike off of you and reached your hand out to Steve, pleading for help.
Steve could not let go of your hand. Even as the flames raged around you, he was still trying to pull you to a safe distance.
The medics and racers were still trying their hardest to save you. But the burns all over your body appeared to be severe and extensive.
As you reached out your hand to him, he kept pulling with every ounce of strength he had left. This was the only form of comfort he could offer.
You screamed out as you used all your strength to either kick the bike off or pull yourself out.
Steve could not bear to watch you struggle like this. The sound of you screaming was heartbreaking and it killed him to know he could do nothing about it.
He kept pulling and pulling on your hand, but the injuries on your body were too severe to allow you to move any more.
He was starting to feel like this was really the end. There was nothing he could do to save you, so he just kept holding your hand tightly and hoping that the medics would be able to pull you out before it was too late.
With tears in your eyes, you asked. "Do you have a knife?! Anything?!" You yelled. Steve tried to calm you down, but it was to no avail. Your screams were turning into hysterical shouting, and he hated seeing you in this state. You needed to remain calm and try to find a solution so you could be saved.
But when you asked Steve if he had a knife, he became confused. What did you need a knife for?
"Why would you need a knife right now?" Steve asked, hoping that he was hearing wrong due to the intensity of the situation. "Just answer!" You yelled as you got one of your legs out.
Steve was a bit shocked by your response, but your urgency and intensity was making him feel like there may be something you had in mind.
It was a bit of a weird request since you were still fully engulfed in the flames.
"Yes I have a knife, but what are you going to do with it?" He asked, his tone of voice still trying to be calm and reassuring despite the chaos that was unfolding. "Give it!" You shouted at him.
Steve was shocked at your yelling, but he quickly snapped into action and handed you the knife.
"Here, take it." He said, trying to be as calm as he could be even though this whole situation was still so surreal.
He hoped that you had some sort of plan to save yourself with the knife. Because he could not stand by and watch you burn anymore.
You quickly grabbed the knife and fucking.. cut your other leg off, letting you crawl away from the bike. Steve's entire body felt numb. The whole situation was just too much to handle for him. You were now missing a whole leg, but you were safe and that was all that mattered.
"That's one way of saving yourself, I guess..." He said after a few seconds of silence. He couldn't believe what he had just seen, but he was glad that you got out of that situation safely.
You crawled behind Steve, laid down, and took off your helmet. You were panting like hell, finally getting actual oxygen. Steve looked at you as you got onto the ground and removed your helmet. You were panting hard, but you were clearly breathing a lot better now that you weren't engulfed by the flames.
He looked you up and down, making sure that you were okay. The whole situation was incredibly surreal, and it was hard for Steve to process all of it.
What could've been a tragedy turned out to be a miracle. You were alive and breathing and that's all that mattered. You had tears in your eyes as you laid there. Everything hurt like absolute hell. Steve felt tears roll down his cheeks when he saw how much pain you were in. He couldn't imagine what it felt like to get burned so badly.
He gently wrapped his arm around your body and pulled you close to him. He knew you must be in horrible pain, but he couldn't bear to see you suffering like this.
"Shh, it's okay. It's over now. We survived. Just try to stay calm and try to breathe." He said softly, hoping that his comforting words could be of some help to you.
You laid your head on Steve's lap, holding onto him like he'd disappear if you let go.
Steve looked down and saw how tightly you were clinging to him. The sight of it was incredibly sweet. You were so shaken at the experience of what just happened that you needed him to be there for comfort.
He held you in his arms tightly and just tried to be there for you.
"I'm not going anywhere. I'm right here with you." He reassured you, hoping that his words and actions would be soothing for you. "Uh-huh.." you breathed quietly.
Steve continued to hold you closely and stroke your body in a calming motion. His fingers rubbed along your back and your arms, trying to provide you with some relief. Your body was still burning from the flames, but he tried to provide you a temporary sense of relaxation from his touches.
"Let's just stay like this for awhile. Just try to focus on my words with your eyes closed. I want you to take deep breaths as you relax. We're safe now." He told you gently.
You were looking straight up at the sky, terrified and suffering. Steve understood that the whole experience you just went through was very traumatizing. And he hated that you had to go through such a terrifying time.
He saw that you were staring up into the sky and looking like your mind was somewhere else. So he just continued to provide his touch as a calming method.
"Keep breathing. You're safe. This pain will go away. This was just a bad accident. You're going to be okay." He kept reassuring you with his voice, hoping that it would help ground you. You nodded slowly. Your mouth was slightly agape, eyes wide with tears.
Steve just kept trying to provide comforting touch the best he could. He kept repeating the same kind words and rubbing his fingers along your body.
His voice was still very calm and gentle, even though he was concerned about your well-being and wanted to make sure you were okay.
He just needed to keep holding you and trying to calm you down. You went through a horribly traumatic experience, so you needed time to process all of it and not be overwhelmed. You were breathing like hell, terrified of what had just happened. Steve felt his heart break when he saw how much you were suffering and how much pain you were in. Your breath was becoming shorter and quicker, and you were just so visibly terrified and shaken up.
His words of encouragement and comforts were probably not enough. The experience was just too traumatic to have any quick solutions.
His arm stayed wrapped tightly around your body as he continued to stroke the skin on your back and comfort you in any way he could. Your body was shaking in his arms. Soon enough, you passed out from the overwhelming pain. Steve continued to comfort you as your body started shaking. It was so heartbreaking to see you in such agony like this. He couldn't stand to watch you suffer.
When you passed out, your entire body became limp and he held you closely as you were now unconscious.
He looked down at you for a few moments, relieved that you weren't feeling the pain anymore. But he still felt very concerned.
"Please just be okay. Just wake up and be okay," he kept repeating softly to himself.
The medics ruined the moment as they tried to rush to get you in an ambulance. Steve immediately snapped out of his thoughts when the medics came rushing over. He felt the sudden feeling of despair as they tried to get you away from him.
He tried to keep holding onto you as they were pulling you away. "Don't take her away from me. Please just don't take her away from me." He kept pleading and begging them to let you stay here or for him to follow the ambulance with you.
“We need to get her to a hospital.” A medic said in a panicked tone. Steve's heart dropped when he heard those words. He didn't want you to leave his side. Not after everything that had happened.
You had just survived a horrifying accident, and the last thing Steve wanted was for you to have to leave.
"Just please let me come with you. I want to see that she's okay. I can wait outside the ambulance. I just need to know that she's okay." Steve kept begging until he got a response. The medics nodded and got you on a stretcher, quickly putting you in the back of an ambulance.
Steve was still frantic as the medics took you into the ambulance. He looked at you one last time as you were rolled away. Your eyes were closed and you were passed out. But he still wanted to go with you.
"Please just come back to me. Please," he whispered softly as the ambulance doors closed and drove away, taking you to the hospital.
Steve waited outside the emergency room for hours before they let him see you. Your entire body was burnt, and they needed to assess the damage and give you treatment.
All Steve could do was wait and worry about your well-being. After what happened at the race, you were just so fragile to him.
He just prayed that you would make it through this. You've experienced such trauma, and he couldn't imagine how tough it was on your body and mind.
A few hours later, a doctor came out of the room you were in. "Mr. Harrington?" He called out. Steve's eyes snapped to the doctor when they said his name. His body tensed up, and he felt himself become very anxious.
"Yes, that's me." He replied to the doctor in a very worried tone. "Come with me." He said and walked back inside. Steve followed the doctor immediately. His body was still very tense as he followed the doctor toward the room.
He was very worried. He was expecting the worst, and he could not bear the possibility of hearing that you were gone.
"So.. Y/N was severely injured.." he sighed. Steve's heart sunk when he heard those words from the doctor. He tried to remain calm, but that was very difficult to handle.
"How badly injured is she?" Steve asked, trying to keep his tone of voice as calm and steady as possible.
"Very.. she was burned alive and had to cut off her own leg to get to safety.. but she will most likely survive." The doctor put his hand on Steve's shoulder. Steve's entire body tightened up, and it felt like all the air was being taken out of him. He felt faint for just a moment.
His mind was just racing to think about the pain you must have went through. Burning alive and then having to amputate your own leg just to survive.
It was hard for Steve to even imagine what that experience must have felt like for you. He hated that it had to happen to you.
"Is she conscious at least?" He asked in a worried tone. "No, she's not awake yet.." he sighed. Steve felt his heart drop once again. You were still unconscious. Which meant that you were still in a very fragile and vulnerable state.
This was just too much for Steve to handle, and he felt himself becoming overwhelmed with emotions.
The doctor put his hand on Steve's shoulder and looked at him with a kind expression. He could see that Steve was in a very emotional state. "You can go see her.." he said. Steve's body loosened up as he heard those words. He just wanted to make sure it was okay for him to see you. But now that he heard it was okay, he immediately wanted to go see you.
"Thank you. I'm going to go in there right now." Steve responded and rushed toward the door before the doctor could say anything else.
You were covered in bandages, and had an oxygen mask. Steve had to keep himself from breaking down. He had seen some pretty bad injuries and accidents before, but this was on a whole other level.
Your body was burned head to toe and you had an oxygen mask on. And for some reason you were still unconscious.
He had so many questions, but the one that was most important right now was whether you were going to be okay.
"You made it," Steve whispered softly as he stood next to your bed. As if on que, you woke up. Steve's breath caught in his throat when you opened your eyes and realized that you were awake and could see him. He hated to see you in this state. Your entire body was wrapped in bandages and you were breathing through an oxygen mask.
But none of that mattered. He was just so grateful to see you alive and awake that he couldn't help but tear up.
"You're alive." He whispered softly. You nodded softly. Steve couldn't help but continue to stare at you for just a moment longer. He was just so relieved that you made it.
His breath was slowly starting to normalize again after the shock and emotional rollercoaster that he had just experienced.
"Thank God you're alive." He whispered, his voice still slightly shaky but sounding more calm as he let out a sigh of relief.
"St.. Steve.." you whispered quietly, your hand twitching.
Steve's breath caught in his throat once again when you reached your hand out for him. Your hand was so fragile. It was also covered in bandages.
"Yes?" He asked softly, taking your hand in his and holding it. His hand was trembling slightly as he held onto you.
"Will.. will I.. live..?" You asked with teary eyes. Steve felt his heart sink. He couldn't bear to see you so concerned. Everything he's been through these last few hours has been so traumatic, and to see you in tears was too much to bear.
"Yes. You're going to be fine." Steve replied with all the hope he could muster in his voice. He didn't want you to worry and wanted to calm you down as much as possible.
"But.. will I... ever.. y'know.. live.." you asked. Your life was your bike. It's always been. And you begged for it to stay like that.
Steve couldn't hide the fact that his body suddenly tensed up when you asked that question. It was a fair question and one that he knew you would ask eventually, but it was still difficult to handle.
Your entire life had been riding and you were the happiest when you were on that bike. The accident had taken you away from all that and that was breaking your heart.
"We'll have to wait and see." He replied honestly.
You nodded with the slightest smile. Steve felt his eyes tear up again when you smiled. Your little smile through your pain was so incredibly touching to see.
"We'll just have to wait and see how you're doing in a couple days." He gently caressed your hand with the fingers from his other hand. "Yeah.. okay.." you whispered and held his hand. Steve kept holding your hand and stayed by your side, not wanting to leave you even for a moment. He knew you needed his touch now more than ever.
You would need to heal, but you had been through so much in just a matter of minutes. And he was going to be there by your side every step of the way.
"Hey, Steve..?" You asked.
Steve's eyes snapped to yours when he heard you speak. His hand tightened around yours once again.
"Yes?" He replied in a soft and concerned tone. "How long have we been friends?" You asked. Steve was caught a bit by surprise by your sudden question. A simple and unexpected question, but it made him think back on how long you've been friends.
"We've been friends almost since my family and I moved out here. So it's been many years now. I'm not sure the exact date though." He replied honestly, not wanting to give you an exact number that was wrong.
"What if I said.. that I want to ruin our friendship.." you whispered. Steve was stunned when he heard your words. His mind raced to think of what could possibly make you say such a thing. Were there some sort of hidden feelings that you didn't want to admit?
He couldn't think of any reason why you would suddenly want to ruin your friendship.
"Why would you want to ruin our friendship?" He asked, his tone filled with concern.
"Casue.. we should be lovers instead.." You smiled.
Steve's entire body froze and his breath was completely taken away when you said those words. It seemed so sudden, so unexpected.
His heart was starting to race and his body felt filled with pure joy.
Was this really what he had been hoping for all these years? Was there more to this friendship than just friendship?
"So.. what'd you say?" You asked, swallowing as fear slowly crept into your mind. Steve couldn't get the words to come out of his mouth. The whole situation felt so surreal that he couldn't wrap his head around it.
A million thoughts were racing through his head. Was this really happening? Is that really what you wanted?
He wanted to say something. But he was still so stunned and speechless. He just looked into your eyes hoping he didn't read the situation wrong.
"S... Steve..?" You asked. Okay, you were scared now. Had you said something wrong? Did he just want to be friends? Steve looked deep into your eyes and saw you start to panic. He saw the fear building on your face and you needed assurance.
"I..." Steve started to say but got tongue-tied.
He couldn't keep you waiting and wanting any longer.
"I want that too. More than anything. I don't just want to be friends. We should be lovers from now on." He finally had the words come out. You sighed in relief, a tear rolling slowly down your bandaged face.
Steve felt pure joy in his heart as he saw the tear rolling down your face. It was pure relief from you, which made him feel so happy.
Your friendship was one of the things that was most important to him, and he couldn't bear the thought of losing that.
He had loved you for so many years, waiting for the moment of when you felt the same towards him. Now that moment had finally arrived.
You took your oxygen mask off and reached out for him. Steve watched you take your oxygen mask off. Which he didn't want you to do because you shouldn't be exerting too much energy.
But then you reached out for him.
It was just a simple touch of you laying your hand on his cheek, but it meant so much more to Steve.
He immediately put his arm around you and pulled you in toward him. His hand gently caressed your cheek as he looked into your eyes. The moment was one of pure joy for Steve. He had finally had the confession he was hoping for. "Kiss-kiss.." you muttered as you weren't getting enough oxygen without the oxygen mask.
Steve felt his heart skip a beat as you said those two words. He didn't need to be told twice and immediately leaned forward to kiss you.
His heartbeat began to speed up as he finally felt his lips meet yours in a long awaited kiss.
This was everything that he wanted. The moment of passion and love that he had been waiting for years to have. You smiled into the kiss, even tho you could barely breathe. It was worth it. So worth it.
Steve knew that taking off your oxygen mask wasn't the best idea. But he couldn't bear the thought of taking his lips away from you for even a moment.
This kiss was what he had been waiting for. He hated seeing you being in pain and covered in bandages, but the only thing that mattered to him right now was these precious moments of happiness and love.
He hoped that you were able to breathe enough even without the oxygen mask. But he was so caught up in this kiss that he couldn't let go and take care of that just yet.
You tried blowing some air into his mouth, signaling that you needed air. What you hope for was that he'd do the same you just did, and not pull away.
After a few moments of kissing, he felt you blowing air into his mouth. His body immediately tensed up and he broke the kiss for a moment.
As soon as he let go of you, he started to worry.
"Are you going to be okay? Can you breathe?" He asked in a shaky voice. He wanted to check up on you but was also worried that he had pushed you too far and that might've been too much.
You shook your head and tried reaching for the oxygen mask, failing miserably. Steve saw you fail to reach the mask and then looked at you in horror when you shook your head in response to his question.
His heart dropped. He needed to help you.
"Here, let me help you." He quickly snatched the mask from the table beside your bed and held it up to your face.
"Just breathe and don't worry, I'll put it on you." He started saying in a calming voice. You took a deep breath as he put your mask on. Steve let out his own sigh of relief when he saw you successfully put the mask on and took a deep breath.
He couldn't bear seeing you go through more trauma after everything that had happened these past few hours.
He just needed you to be okay, and if that meant getting some more oxygen, then that's what you would get.
"Just relax now. Take slow breaths and let the oxygen do its job for you." He replied in an calming voice as he continued to stroke your hair gently.
"Yeah.." you nodded. "I just.. didn't wanna stop kissin' you.." you mumbled, fiddling with the bandage on your hands. Steve's heart instantly started to race at your words. You were still not completely conscious, but every word that you did speak was just filled with so much passion and love.
"We can kiss more later. For now just concentrate on your breathing." He replied, trying not to let his excited and loving emotions take over.
He didn't want to push you too far and stress you out. He just needed to make sure that you were going to be okay first before going back to the kisses.
"Fine.." you tried to sound annoyed that you couldn't keep kissing him. Steve gave a little chuckle as you tried to sound annoyed at him. But he could see right through you.
It was so adorable to see.
But he was right. For now you needed to concentrate on getting enough oxygen into your system before going back to the kisses.
"Just a few more minutes. We'll have all the time in the world for kisses later." He replied in a teasing tone. For the first time today, the red on your face wasn't blood.
Steve noticed your cheeks turn red. The light redness was very different than the blood from your burned skin from the accident.
This was a redness that was filled with happiness and affection. And it made Steve feel giddy with joy.
"Look at you. Who knew that a few words could give you a new blush." He said in a joking tone which he immediately realized he shouldn't have made.
He hoped it wouldn't turn your redness into an embarrassment. "Ss-shut up.." you mumbled. Steve had to stifle his chuckle but he was failing.
He found it so incredibly cute for you to respond in such a way. His playful tease had you blushing again, and he couldn't be happier.
"Are you getting annoyed with me?" He asked in a teasing tone. "N-no.." You grumbled with a fake pout. "It sure seems like it to me..." He said with a big smirk on his face.
To him, there was nothing more adorable than you trying to play hard to get.
"Are you sure that's not how you feel?" He teased you, making sure to get a reaction out of you again. You nodded. "Mhmm.."
Steve couldn't help but grin. Your little pout looked so adorable!
But then he suddenly had a thought.
"So you're not annoyed by me?" He said, with a grin that quickly turned into a tease. He was beginning to poke the bear so to speak. "Nuh-uh.."
"You're sure? You're not just saying that to make me happy?" He said with a smirk on his face. This was getting extremely fun for him, teasing you and getting you flustered.
"Mhm.. 'm not annoyed at you.. I'm annoyed cause I can't kiss you.." you grumbled, weakly trying to cross your arms. Steve instantly snapped out of the teasing and the grin quickly faded from his face as he got serious again. The love that he had for you was starting to take over now.
"I know. It's hard to wait and not do more kissing." He replied softly.
But then, he got an idea.
"But what if I did this?" He asked before leaning forward and quickly planting a kiss on your forehead. You leaned towards his touch, needing more. Steve immediately noticed you lean towards him. As soon as he realized that's what you needed, he leaned forward as well.
He brought his hand around to the back of your head and gently pulled you in towards him.
His lips met your forehead once again and he let his lips linger there for a moment.
This was his way of reassuring you that he was going to do whatever he could to make you feel better. And that he was going to give you all of the kisses you needed as soon as you were physically able to handle it. Your face suddenly went white, and your eyes widened, tears slowly welling up. Steve's heart dropped when he saw your face go white and tears well up in your eyes.
He immediately pulled away and grabbed your hands with a look of concern.
"What's wrong?" He asked, looking right at you. Your breathing got faster, as if you were scared. You looked almost exactly like you did a few hours ago, right before you passed out in Steve's arms. Were you in pain?
Steve could feel his stomach tie into knots as he looked into your eyes. He suddenly felt those same memories coming back and he feared the worst.
"Can you tell me what's wrong? Is something hurting?" He asked, beginning to panic.
Every time he thought he was safe when it came to your health, it would be something that would bring back those fears. You desperately tugged on his hand, unable to talk.
Steve didn't understand what you were trying to tell him. But your desperation to get him to understand was not a good thing.
He felt the fear building up more and more inside of him. He really thought that he would never feel this way again, but here it was, all coming back to him.
He just wanted to know what was wrong so he could fix it. And he didn't like the feeling of being so helpless in this situation.
"H... hurt.. hurt.." you managed to whisper quickly. Steve's heart dropped once again as he heard you say those words.
He hated seeing you in pain. And he desperately wanted to make it stop.
"Where does it hurt? Is it your arms or your legs?" He asked, trying to narrow down what was hurting you so he could help.
"Everything.." you whimpered, trying to tug on Steve's hand with a little more force. Steve couldn't hold back his tears anymore. Seeing you in so much pain like this was too much for him to take.
"It hurts everywhere?" He asked, his voice starting to break as he began to sob.
He had no idea how to help you. He wanted so badly to take the pain away. But he had no idea how to make that happen. He was losing control and it killed him inside.
"Get... nurse.." you whimpered with shallow breaths. Steve immediately let go of your hand and pressed the nurse call button on the side of the bed.
"Okay, I'll get someone from the staff over right away. Just hang in there." He said just before he started to cry again.
He didn't know what the nurse was going to do. He didn't know what would happen. All he knew was that you were in pain and he needed that pain to stop as soon as possible.
There were tears in your eyes, and your body was nearly numb. Unable to move. Steve's tears continued to flow freely down his face. It felt like it was tearing him apart to see you in so much pain and unable to do anything about it.
His heart broke again and again as he watched you struggle to do anything and as he witnessed your numb body and those painful tears on your cheeks.
"Just stay with me. I'm not leaving your side. I'm not going anywhere."
You were whimpering and silently crying as you waited for anyone to help you. Steve couldn't look away for a second. He needed to be there for you until the nurse arrives.
The thought of you being in so much pain and discomfort was too much for him. As he looked at you, he watched you continue to struggle with your whimpering and silent cries.
The door to the room began to open, and a nurse rushed in. They took one look at the state you were in and immediately took action to try and help you. Steve was escorted out of the room, so he didn't know what was happening.
Steve was asked to stand outside the room by the nurse who had just rushed in. He felt his heart sinking into his stomach once again the moment you were out of his sight. He wanted to be right in there with you. To see what the nurse was doing and to hear everything being said.
Not only that, but he was afraid if this turned out to be serious that he was going to hate himself for not being inside to help you immediately.
Time passed and Steve was still standing outside the room. His thoughts were a million miles an hour.
He kept thinking about every worst-case scenario and worrying that it might become true.
After what seemed like an eternity, the door to the room opened. Instead of seeing a happy and healthy you, the nurse had a completely different look on her face which made the worry in Steve's heart sink even deeper.
"I.. Mr. Harrington, may I speak to you for a moment?" The nurse asked calmly. Steve snapped out of his thoughts and looked up at the nurse. As he did, a wave of fear washed over him.
The look on the nurse's face was not a good one. And the fact that she's asking him if she could talk to him meant that what happened wasn't good.
"Of course." He replied with a nervous expression. "Well.. Are you aware of the events that happened today?" She asked.
Steve nodded his head and he watched as the nurse looked at him with sympathy.
"Yes. I was right here with her when the accident happened." He replied, not knowing what the nurse was about to tell him.
"The fire must've done something to her organs, which is making her feel pain even after so many hours.." she explained. Steve's heart practically stopped as he heard the words.
He felt the breath become heavy in his chest and it was becoming so hard to keep breathing.
He was having trouble even speaking at this point.
"So.. you're saying.. there is still more damage done to her organs? She's still not fully recovered?" He asked, his voice beginning to crack.
He thought he had done so well in comforting her and making her feel safe when she was awake. But here her was now, finding out that all of his efforts were for nothing.
The nurse nodded. "Yes.. and we will have to do an emergency operation.. may I have your consent to this?" She asked, handing him a form.
Steve hesitantly took the form that the nurse was handing to him. As he looked over the paperwork, he felt the world began to spin.
He knew what an emergency operation meant. And he knew what was going to happen to his girlfriend.
"Will she be ok?" He asked in a shaky voice. "We don't know yet.." she sighed.
Steve felt his heart drop once again as the nurse gave yet another answer that he didn't want to hear.
"So there's still a chance I could lose her?" He asked, his voice breaking in between every word. She nodded. "Yes, but if you give us your consent to the operation, there might be a slightly bigger chance of her surviving."
Steve had gone from feeling helpless to feeling hopeless as the nurse revealed that he could potentially lose his girlfriend forever.
He wanted so badly to say yes in that moment. He wanted to do anything he could to give her a better fighting chance to survive.
"Then I give you my consent. You just do whatever is necessary to save her life." He replied, trying to hold back his tears as the tears started to flow once again. "Sign here." She said and pointed to the bottom of the form.
Steve quickly signed the form and handed it back to the nurse. He needed no time to think, no questions to ask.
This was a matter of life and death for the woman he loved. And if there was even a small chance that she could live through this, he would do whatever it took to make that dream become a reality.
The nurse quickly went back into the room, and soon later, you were being escorted out and over to an operating room.
Steve's eyes remained glued on your body as you were being escorted into the operating room. Every step was like a stab of a knife in his heart.
The possibility of losing you forever was enough to tear him apart. He felt like he would go crazy if he ended up losing you today.
All he could do was stand and watch as you were being taken from him into the operating room. Hoping that those who were operating on you would be able to save you from whatever more damage your body had already had to endure.
Time slowly passed by.
At this point, all Steve could do was wait to get the results of your surgery.
He sat outside of the surgery room and continued to feel that nervous dread and anticipation in his body.
He wanted so badly to believe that the surgery was successful and that you would be okay. But with the wait time becoming longer and longer, those hopes were beginning to dwindle away. After almost 7 hours, a nurse came out and walked over to him.
Steve perked up when he saw the nurse approaching. His body was filled with hope, as the nurse was here to give him the results of your surgery.
"Is.. is she okay?" He asked, looking up at the nurse.
"..." The nurse was quiet for a few seconds. "Congratulations!" she smiled.
Steve's heart jumped out of his chest when he saw the nurse's smiling face and she congratulated him.
But he needed more than a smile at this point. He needed to know for sure.
"She made it out of the surgery alive, didn't she?" He asked in an anxious tone.
"She's okay, Mr. Harrington." The nurse smiled at him. Steve's face immediately broke into a smile and a few tears quickly flowed from his eyes.
"She's okay.. she survived?" He asked and the wave of relief was overwhelming.
After going on such an emotional roller coaster and having to wait for so many hours, it was finally beginning to sink in for him that his girlfriend was going to be okay.
"You can come see her in about 15 minutes." She said and walked away. Steve needed no time to prepare or wait for anything in this moment. As soon as the nurse walk away, he was out of his seat and heading to see you.
The anticipation of seeing you was becoming too much for him to handle. Even just the thought of being able to see you and hold you again made his heart feel so full.
The wait was excruciating but it's finally over.
A nurse opens the door for Steve to walk into your hospital room. And as he walks into the room, he looks directly at you with a huge smile on his face.
The sight of you was enough to bring so many tears to his eyes. But they were tears of joy because you were alive and well.
"Hey." You smiled and waved at him. Steve immediately approached your bed where you were laid up. Your smile and the wave you gave him was all the relief he needed.
As soon as he pulled up a chair next to you, he didn't waste a second to pull you in for a hug.
"I'm so glad you're okay." He replied, his voice laced with emotion as he finally felt your body hugging him back. "Kiss-kiss.." You asked, wanting to really feel him against you.
As soon as you asked for a kiss, he didn't need to be asked twice.
He immediately leaned down and pressed his lips up against yours in a passionate kiss. When you felt his body press up against your own, it felt like he was finally able to let go of the built up weight of the day.
He just wanted to pull you into his arms and hold you like this forever. You put your hands around his neck and kissed him back, closing your eyes.
As soon as you wrapped your hands around his neck it felt like he was going to explode with joy.
He pulled you in even close to him and pressed your bodies together in such a loving embrace.
The heat was rising as he kissed you back. But he didn't care if his kiss became intense. He just wanted to enjoy every last second of holding you in his arms.
After multiple minutes of making out, you pulled away. "I love you.. Steve.." you whispered, giving him a sweet smile.
Those three simple words from you put a huge smile on Steve's face.
After all of the fear and worry and stress he underwent on your behalf, hearing you that those words out of your mouth was like music for his ears.
"I love you too." He managed to whisper back between tears in his eyes. "Don't cry.." you whispered and dried a tear from his eye.
Steve's tears started falling onto your shoulder as you dried a tear from his eyes.
But he was completely unable to stop himself from crying.
After all that has happened today, he couldn't hold back his feelings or his tears anymore.
"I'm sorry." He whispered as he tried drying another tear from your eyes.
"I'm just so happy to see you alive and well."
You smiled. "I know.. they said I'll start having physical therapy in a few days.. I'll get a prosthetic.." you said. Steve was speechless as he listened to you talk. He truly thought you were going to lose this battle today. And now here you are, telling him that you're going to be fine.
You had just given him the best news he could have hoped for. And the relief was indescribable.
"You're going to get a prosthetic?" He asked, needing more information about this. "Yeah.." you chuckled. You laughing quickly brought a smile to his face as well.
Just hearing you laugh was like music to his ears.
"So you're going to be able to walk again?" He asked, a smile beginning to grow on his face. "I think so.." you smiled back. Knowing you would be able to walk again brought more and more joy to Steve's heart.
Just being able to see you walk and move around without difficulty would be more than he could ever ask for.
His face turned from a smile into a full-on grin as he nodded his head in agreement and excitement.
Time definitely flew by.
As you began your physical therapy, your progress was truly remarkable.
After only a few weeks, you were able to start moving around on your own again. It was amazing to watch your strength and courage take over and the progress you were able to make on a daily basis.
As Steve watched this progress, he felt like the biggest sense of relief he had ever experienced. He was more than proud of you and the incredible progress you were making. You could properly walk with your prosthetic leg now. And you were so happy.
Your strength and determination to not give in to defeat brought Steve so much pride in you.
He was so happy to see how well you were doing with your recovery. The fact that you were now able to walk again and even get back to doing things that you previously used to enjoy before this accident happened made you a true champion.
Your will and spirit made this possible. And Steve was more than proud of how far you've come.
"Steve?" You called out from the living room, wanting to surprise him with something. When you called out his name, he immediately came into the room.
But the sight of you standing there with your prosthetic leg caught him off guard.
He was completely speechless. He would have never expected you to surprise him like this today. After everything you had just been through, you still found a way to put a smile on his face. "I have a surprise for you.." you smiled, reaching your hand out to him.
Steve took your hand in his without even questioning what this surprise might be. He was so amazed by you just being up and able to stand and walk around that he didn't really think of what else could possibly come next.
You led Steve to the garage, where you had a brand new motorcycle. A better model than the one you had in the accident. As Steve followed you into the garage, he could feel his jaw hit the floor. He just couldn't believe what he was seeing.
It wasn't just any regular motorcycle either. No. It was a brand new motorcycle that was so much better than the one that caused this.
"I.. I....I don't even know what to say." He eventually managed to say while still trying to process what he was seeing.
"Wanna test her out?" You asked with a grin, holding the keys in your free hand.
Steve's eyes lit up as you asked if he wanted to test her out. He didn't need another second to agree.
"Are you serious?" He asked with so much joy and excitement in his voice. You chuckled and mounted your new bike, putting the keys in and putting on a helmet.
Steve was still in awe as he watched you get ready to test drive your brand new bike.
After all that you've been through, it was amazing to see you excited about something else again.
As you mounted your bike and put on your helmet, he couldn't help but feel so much pride for you in this moment.
"Come on, slowpoke!" You laughed. Steve's face immediately snapped out of his stare and he snapped into reality.
"Oh. Yeah." He said in a playful tone.
Quickly, he grabbed his helmet and mounted his bike as he let out a giddy laugh of his own. You started the bike and revved the engine. This was it. You were gonna live again. You smiled as you started driving.
Steve's heart began racing as the engine of ypur bike revved up and you started driving.
The feeling of finally being out on the open road again was better than he could have imagined.
After all the waiting and everything that he and you had been through, this moment felt magical. He felt like nothing else mattered right now and that as long as he could be out here on this ride right now, everything would be okay.
It was a clear road. But this time, you just put your hands up and exclaimed happily as you felt the wind in your hands. The feeling of being out in the open like this felt so natural.
Being out on the road and letting the wind rush pass you and through your hair was everything that you were in need of in this moment.
You felt like this was the start of a whole new chapter in your life. You couldn't ask for anything better than this right now.
