Azula Xer'kai is the Chief of Security on the Starship Horizon. She is a slimefolk who grew up on the Rachnian homeworld.

Her unique appearance is due to her upbringing amongst Rachnians. Slimefolk choose their base appearance depending on what sentient beings they are most familiar with during their juvenile stage. Particularly, the number of eyes they have depends on this imprinting process.

The eyes of Slimefolk are the only parts of their body that isn't completely malleable, as they act not only as their visual receptors, but as their brains too. Azula is very strong-willed, serious, and proud. In some ways, even moreso than most Rachnians, given her unique upbringing as a smaller alien amongst them. Because of this, she had a lot to prove, and had to work harder than her peers to get to where she is now.
