Intermission and I am so emotional. When J Harrison Ghee sang Not My Fathers Son I friggin cried. There’s so much fun and excitement in this show that song just hits hard out of nowhere. Brendon is blowing my mind and I feel this weird sense of pride??? I remember when he was just a goof ball teen in an emo band wearing guyliner and top hats. Fucking incredible. And the girl playing Lauren!?! So good!!! The dancing! The costumes! THE CONVEYER BELT SEQUENCE. I am so fucking happy I cannot deal. I always get emotional seeing live shows, especially on Broadway, but this is connected to So Many other things that it’s overwhelming. New York is mine again and I couldn’t be happier. #RachelsFirstShenanigans

Things I missed most; my cats, my laptop, my bed. It was only a few days but I always miss the pleasures of home when I'm away. - I don't think I've ever gone out of town without my laptop but tbh I didn't have a moment to spare that I would have used it. Happy to be aimlessly scrolling the internet on it again though. 💻 And by God is my bed comfy compared to airplane seats 💺< 🛏 Cats probably hardly noticed I was gone though 😹 #RachelsFirstShenanigans

Back at Camille's, contemplating today's adventure. I am completely overwhelmed and over stimulated. So many intense, mixed, emotions. It's hard to put into words how I'm feeling. But as is my response to most things, I'm crying. I've never been more proud of myself. I went so far out of my comfort zone for this trip and reclaimed things that were stolen from me by painful memories. I conquered so much. All the while getting the chance to see one of my favourite artists perform in a capacity so excitingly different than I've ever seen him, and I was truly blown away. I had high expectations due to my long time love and dedication but in full and complete honesty I was blown away. His performance was outstanding and his passion for it palpable. I hope he's lucky enough to have more opportunities like this because he has proved to be more than capable. But enough about him, this is about me. And I... well, I'm happy. #RachelsFirstShenanigans

The theatre I got to see Matilda The Musical in 2013! I rekindled my love for that show recently and have become fairly obsessed with the soundtrack. Fun Fact: Matilda and Kinky Boots debuted in the same year! #RachelsFirstShenanigans
