Idea for a Resident Evil game: “Resident Evil: The Roads Not Taken”
The basic premise is that this is a non-canon game that explores alternate paths the games could’ve taken. Similar to the Marvel show “What If?” and another Capcom game, “Dead Rising: Off the Record”. Each scenario is its own, stand-alone campaign.
Possible campaigns could be:
1) What if Jill Valentine was sent to rescue Ashley Graham?
2) What if Chris Redfield was an Umbrella agent?
3) What if Billy Coen joined Rebecca in the mansion? (or, what if Billy was present during RE1)
4) What if Ethan Winters never died during the events of RE7?
5) What if Umbrella never collapsed after the Raccoon City incident?
6) What if Leon teamed up with Sherry Birkin? / What if Claire teamed up with Ada Wong?

GAIDEN OUTRANKED MERCS 3D
That's so fucked LMAO Mercs 3D was not that bad.
AND OPERATION RACCOON CITY OUTRANKED BOTH CHRONICLES GAMES
Men shouldn't be allowed to have opinions. My GOD.
Ashley outranking Luis, Lady D, Piers, and Billy is genuinely and legitimately shocking. I would not have seen that coming.
Oh how the mighty have fallen, re: Billy. He was once the most beloved one-off character in the series.
I'm sure he'll reclaim his throne after RE0make comes out, but wow.

Resident Evil Weapons Lore: The Albert-01
One of Resident Evil's reoccurring weapons is the Albert-01, designed by the titular Albert Wesker to effectively eliminate bioweapons. Its item inspection in Village when obtained from the Trauma Pack reads, "Powerful customized handgun which uses anti-bioweapon technology left by Albert Wesker."
The weapon is actually a customized Samurai Edge, the weapon used by S.T.A.R.S. members before the Raccoon City, created by Robert Kendo. Albert's customized model uses RAMRODS (anti B.O.W. rounds). The weapon is, ironically, given to Ethan Winters by Chris Redfield, Albert Wesker's killer, in order to defeat a mutated Eveline.
A Samurai Edge customized for Albert Wesker appears as a DLC weapon in the RE2 remake (Although it doesn't use the RAMRODS that the Albert-01 does), while the Albert-01 model appears in RE7 and as part of the Trauma Pack in RE8. In one 3D model, we can see that the weapon is engraved with S.T.A.R.S..

OCs DESERVE BETTER -> Eleanor Winters (Resident Evil/Biohazard) FC: Hayden Panettiere (Live Action & Animated)
“You always did say I would get in over my head. I sure hope this wasn’t what you had in mind!”
Having always had a feeling her brother’s wife wasn’t being entirely honest, Eleanor Winters basically tolerated Mia for Ethan’s sake, a contrast to the close bond the two siblings share. Having always been fascinated by the disaster of Raccoon City and the poorly covered up continued existence of B.O.W.’s since she was young, Eleanor eagerly threw herself into a career of journalism dedicated to exposing the truth - much to Ethan’s terror. When Ethan takes a trip down to Louisiana to track done a missing Mia, Eleanor tags along as both moral support and because her journalism senses are telling her whatever caused Mia to vanish is connected to whatever she has been hiding.
Ethan always told her that Eleanor would get in way over her head at some point, but the siblings had always assumed he meant that she would be taken out in a staged ‘accident’ by some secret, shady government agents, not the living nightmare the duo encounters deep in the Louisiana Bayou.
tagging: @endless-oc-creations,  @stanshollaand, @foxesandmagic, @hiddenqveendom, @arrthurpendragon, @cas-verse, @eddiemunscns, if anyone wants to be added/removed let me know!

RCW's RE7 CONTINUITY:
RCW: Biohazard
in the re7 continuity of Raccoon City Winters i feel like Mia was more sympathetic towards Eveline considering her and Ethan had strikingly similar upbringings; minimal socializing, constant tests ran on them, the needles.
I feel she was torn between taking Eveline away and staying with the Connections in order to help Ethan and it made her feel like shit the entire time. Especially when she had been lying to Ethan about working with the Connections.
She justifies it in her head, saying it would hurt Ethan more if she told him she had been working in a similar place his father had been working in, for a reason almost the same. She knows it's a shit thing, to lie to him like this, but she really wouldn't be able to stomach the look he would give her, and maybe that's selfish but she hates to see him hurt.
And then Eveline, who was young and only wanted a family ("like Ethan did," her brain yelled at her) to grow up with. Eveline, who smiled up at her even after going through the worst tests imaginable and finds comfort in her presence, like Ethan did, every time. Eveline who cries because she knows she's too dangerous to have a real family, but wants to try- hopes she could anyway, like Ethan did.
Mia considers it, running away with Eveline, back home to Ethan and Kyde and stay as far away from California as they could. She planned it out, the whole situation, down from the moment she got Eveline out of that basically a cell for a room to buying a house under a different name in god-damned Romania if she had to.
She accepts her plan as half-baked but the overwhelming guilt and sympathy in her heart allows her to forget about that.
Then the ship, sprung on her that they would be moving Eveline somewhere. The hurricane, Eveline's freakout, Mia's promises of taking Eveline with her and being her mother, the mold.
That night, before the two of them were knocked out of that ship, Eveline cried in Mia's arms for the destruction she caused, and Mia held her and cried for the feeling of failure weighing on her soul.
And when Mia hits the water, when she starts to fall unconscious, she only thinks of how Eveline said she hated storms before, just like Ethan does.
-
And Mia wakes up at the Baker's, and they tell her they rescued her, she deliriously asked if they also found a young girl, if they found Eveline. They tell her not yet, tell her to rest and they promise they'll help find her little girl. She rests, but wakes up again later, unable to keep her eyes closed. She writes on a paper she found just about everything she knew about Eveline and herself, trying to recollect her thoughts when she noticed them fading.
She falls unconscious again before finishing the paper, and she's unable to defuse Eveline's fear and anger before the Baker's are under her control.
-
The years that pass, Mia spends trying to convince Eveline that they can leave the Baker's and start anew. Eveline refuses, too scared that the Connections will come for them if they leave this house. She compromised with the shots that slowed her aging, why couldn't Mommy compromise with her? Did she hate her? Did she secretly want to abandon her? Whenever Eveline asked the answers were always, "No, no Evie I don't want to abandon you but we can't stay here forever, eventually we'll run out of resources for your shots, I don't want you to die, and you'll die after too long without them."
Eveline is content with it, with dying, if she gets to stay with Mommy the whole time. When she told her that, Mommy cried and apologized to her. Eveline never knew why she kept saying sorry, but she stopped saying she would be okay with dying because Mommy crying made her cry.
As the Baker's become cannibalistic and murderous under Eveline's control, she becomes more prideful of herself. Mia doesn't know what to do, how to stop these people from dying, falls under a state of depression. She tries to talk to Eveline, tries to tell her to stop, though Eveline only tells her that she wants to find her Mom someone to be with since she was so sad all the time. Mia knows its a part of Eveline's powers, but the look of innocence in her eyes breaks her down and she stops opposing.
Eventually, Mia tells Eveline about Ethan. Talks about how Ethan loved her more than anything in the world, laments that she shouldn't have lied to him when she only wanted to help him, tells Eveline she only wanted to leave this house so they could be with him. Eveline listens, asks her if she misses Ethan a lot, latches on to the reason she gave for wanting to leave.
Mia tells Eveline she did, that she missed Ethan more than anything in the world, and before she knew it she was unconscious again.
-
Ethan's arrival sparked something in Eveline's soul. She felt angry, at first that this man was the reason Mom would be willing to risk herself and her freedom to be with. She makes Mom fight him a few times, so angry at him for being the reason her family almost broke apart.
Then she watches him cry. She watches this man sit next to his wife each time they fought and cry, even holding her at the risk of her waking up again and hurting him. Eveline sees a man who loved her Mommy so much he would risk dying to mourn her hurt.
And, the final time Mom falls because of Ethan, he didn't move at all, crying on his knees as he held her in his arms. He hardly looks away from Mom when Jack attacks him and even when he kills him.
Eveline realized, when he woke again, his thoughts now shared with hers due to their new connection through the mold, that he loved Mom just as much as she did. She tests him, makes him fight with Grandmother and Grandfather, watching over him as he stumbled through Lucas' puzzles.
Eveline starts to like this man, who loves her Mom so much he'd died and came back to life with her as the only thing on his mind.
-
They nearly escaped, in that stupid little boat. Eveline cried when they both fell in the water. She hadn't mean to do that, hadn't meant to hit the boat directly. She panicked, pulled them both out of the water. She may be angry at Mom and Dad for nearly leaving her but she didn't want them to die.
She helps Mom remember things she forgot, everything that lead up to this. Mom cried again, and Eveline cries for her too.
She talks to Dad, in his head, and she scared him but he doesn't let that get in the way of talking to her. He shows her kindness, sympathy, tells her he doesn't want her to hurt.
Eveline cries to herself, as Mia frees Ethan and pushes him away, afraid she would hurt him. Eveline doesn't make Mom do anything except sleep, lets her rest for all that these years and this day has troubled her.
She talks to Ethan in person again, cried because he was so much more than nicer than he had to be. Cried because she understood now, why Mom wanted to be with him again, cried because she kept them away from each other for so long. Ethan convinces her to let her control of the house go, and she collapsed into the hug he gave her, so so tired.
-
Ethan held Eveline protectively in his arms when he met Redfield, not letting this child who has been through so, so much out of his sight. He doesn't trust these people, but they're helping Mia despite what she'd done so he held back his hostility.
He refused to let them take Eveline from his arms, she was tired and none of them looked like they knew how to carry a tired child.
They have to do check-ups every month during the first year, but they're allowed to stay together. They have to move to Europe, "Romania, huh?" Mia thinks to herself when she heard it, realizing that she'd gotten her wish- just differently than she expected, and no one could know where they lived but otherwise they would be fine. They keep in contact with Zoe, and Kyde (who doesn't wait to say "I told you so," to Ethan but still shows he's happy Mia was found and well,) throughout the years.
Eveline gets a final shot that was able to stabilize her aging process, and she's able to go with no more needles unless absolutely necessary. Mia tells Ethan everything she had been there for, promising to never keep another secret from him again, and he forgives her (he would do it either way). The three of them live happily in Romania, for all of three years.
And Eveline doesn't tell anyone that Ethan isn't Ethan like he used to be, waits for everyone to notice by themselves. They never do. And Re8 begins.
And that, my friends, is the RE7 Continuity of Raccoon City Winters; Raccoon City Winters: Biohazard!

Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City
- Killing the top chart over on VUDU for three weeks (Only US)
-  17th Box Office Performance for R-Rated Movies in 2021
-  Grossing 31.8M from budget 25M, It’s successful for lowest RE budget but didn’t great for SONY to greenlit sequel for now, so we have to wait Japan, the birthplace of IP, getting to see this film on 28 January.
Prepare to Own it
Digital Jan 18th
Blu-ray Feb 8th
And don’t forget to watch The King’s Man, to-be Ethan Winters, Harris Dickinson, used to be looked for Leon’s Role in this movie, but I think studio think he should be reserved for Ethan’s role in future if they adapted Biohazard or Village.

Resident Evil: A three acts structure
I personally perceive the Resident Evil main series as a story told in “acts”.  You can split the video games into thematic groups, each forming an “act” and so far I have identified three of them. [I am not including the spin-offs here, only focusing on the main series]
First act (1996-2002)
This act is the opening and beginning of the story. Centered entirely around Raccoon City and its ultimate destruction, this act introduces us to everything: we get to see and fight Umbrella in all of its twisted glory, we are introduced to all the characters that will become major protagonists in later games... This act is also set in a distinctive survival horror style.
Consists of:
# Resident Evil, the original game.
# Resident Evil 2.
# Resident Evil 3: Nemesis.
# Resident Evil 0 (serves as both a “prologue” and “epilogue” to this first act).
Second act (2000-2015)
This act is one of "expansion". Geographical, historical expansion, as well as lore wise. We assist to the downfall and destruction of Umbrella Corporation and everything tied to it, but we also see the consequences of this donwfall, the rise of new threats feeding of Umbrella's corpse and the legacy Umbrella leaves behind. This second act, much more focused on the "action" genre, also explores the corruption of the "good organizations" and governements responsible for fighting the likes of Umbrella, while focusing with every game on a different culture and a different part of the world (most games having their monsters named in a non-English language to reflect that).
Contains:
# Resident Evil: Code Veronica. A “prologue” to this act.
# Resident Evil 4. (RE in Spain!)
# Resident Evil 5 (RE in West Africa!)
# Resident Evil: Revelations (RE at sea!)
# Resident Evil 6 (RE in Eastern Europe, America AND China!)
# Resident Evil: Revelations 2. I consider it the “epilogue” to the act, the same way Code Veronica was a prologue (and ironically both games take place on an island)
 Third act (2017 - ???)
This third act has just begun, so it is hard to qualify it, but so far it is defined as being centered around Ethan Winters (and family) ; as being a return to survival horror ; and also as having each game being a clear reference to a type of horror. On one side, this act seems to be here to explore the roots and origins of everything happening in the previous acts (such as the origins behind the creation of Umbrella), but it also clearly set itself apart from the rest of the franchise by renewing its threats into something beyond the viruses and parasites usually seen, and by putting the usual and well-known protagonists of the two first acts into secondary or absent roles.
# Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. ( Horror referenced here: this video game is an homage to whole range of horror movies, with at its core the Southern Gothic horror as exemplified by The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, but also a whole lot of other references to classical horror movies ranging from Evil Dead to The Shining and passing by found footage and Japanese horror )
# Resident Evil: Village. (Horror referenced: the Gothic horror genre, ranging from the classics of the 19th century to the movies of Universal and Hammer).

Resident Evil 7 Review: ‘Resident Evil 7 is the best in the series, despite its perplexing flaws’
Tumblr media
What makes a game scary? The ever-stalking, ever-watchful presence every player fears: Death. A reminder of our inept failure, sending players back in time to reattempt a section that now has the upper hand. Death is an all-powerful, unforgiving punishment; one we’re hardcoded to avoid at all costs.
Resident Evil VII: biohazard understands fear. Not only fear, but the need to create a landscape which personifies potential death. The world is presented through a mostly chocolate colour palette – drab and slightly off. A real focus has been put on the lighting of each section. Hallways illuminate just enough to see where everything is while still feeling unnatural. Abandoned oil lamps litter the ground, offering a comfort to an otherwise morbid backdrop. One section in particular has the player venture outside into the darkness. It’s here where you truly start to appreciate how beautifully-ugly Resident Evil VII really is, and how important lighting is to the journey.
At the centre of Resident Evil VII is a story about a husband, Ethan Winters, in search of his lost wife Mia, who disappeared without a trace years earlier. That is, until Ethan receives a video from Mia forbidding him from coming to find her.
Ignoring Mia’s warning, Ethan travels to Dulvey, Louisiana, where he finds a dilapidated house.  Upon entering said house, Ethan soon succumbs to the realisation he’s trapped, and at the will of the psychotic Baker Family, each of whom play a specific – albeit warped – family role. Daddy Jack fulfils the duty of patriarchal leader of the group; Mommy Marguerite is an over-nurturing mother, obsessed with all things family; Brother Jack is the kind who pulls legs off insects then burns their bodies with a magnifying glass; and Sister Eveline is the resident creepy little girl, because no horror story is complete without a creepy little girl.
Tumblr media
Serving as a backdrop to the story is an exquisite semi-realistic setting in which you won’t be able to tell if photographs are real people or designed on a computer. While the gorgeous setting helps with immersion, there are several components that pull you out of it. Ethan very rarely reacts correctly to what’s happening on-screen. Imagine stubbing your toe on a door. You might shout, you might curse, but if it were Ethan who stubbed his toe, he’d respond like an even less charismatic Mr. Robot. At impactful scenes Ethan sounds dead inside, making the section feel much less than it should. The player feels the horror, but to Ethan this whole charade is a chore. He’d rather be at home watching football.
It’s hard to gauge whether Ethan’s performance is down to a lack of direction or the voice actor in question. Either way, it’s not good, and will pull you out of the scene.
There’s also the case of Mia. Her hair acts like a confused octopus flailing for help and her lip syncing is downright dreadful. Her gob gapes wider than humanly possible whenever she speaks, and you’re left worrying if you trip over you could fall right on in there. Death by swallowing. Not the best look when the narrative is fighting ruthlessly to keep you scared.
And yet, Resident Evil VII gets a lot right when it comes to weaving a worthwhile narrative. One video tape found within the mansion sees Derek Acorah-type ghost hunters head into the house in search of a new fabricated tale to sell to gullible viewers. The characters in the tape are either unlikeable or forgettable, but that’s intended. What’s important during the scene is that it shows the player the horrors held within. Showing, rather than telling, will always generate a stronger emotional response. The player knows they need to go where Acorah and co. went, but now know it’s sure to lead to demise. And thus, fear is born.
It’s worth mentioning at this point, Resident Evil 7 isn’t a reboot, nor is it a fully-realised AAA PT takeoff. Resident Evil VII is a Resident Evil game from start to finish, for better or worse. When you’re not running in terror, you’ll be solving puzzles. These range from finding keys to doors, finding ways to open new areas, or maneuvering a statue within a projector’s light to create a shadow on a painting. And, of course, there’s the meta minigame of managing your inventory. Should you carry those herbs but abandon another pack of ammunition? How many healing items do you really need?
Tumblr media
The puzzle-centric nature of Resident Evil VII extends into boss fights, which are (with the exception of one) wholly satisfying. Each scuffle has a hidden tactic, a way to get one over on your foe, and in a stroke of design genius, dying actually offers up a hint as to how to beat the boss for those willing to look deep enough.
The exception? The final boss fight.
The first two acts are near-faultless and the first six hours justify the cost of admission. But then, act three kicks in, and the game barely holds it together.
By act three, all the tension, all the fear, has diluted. Even with less of an arsenal the player becomes too confident for any of the roaming horrors to ever be anything more than fodder; a walking annoyance to be avoided. The problem is confounded by the fact act three is a no more than a walkabout. All you do is run from point A to point B then back to point A then back to point B again in search of items. Nothing of value is added to the experience. Plus, in a baffling twist, you’re given a vastly overpowered gun. Are we back in Res 6? Is Resident Evil a game about shooting oddities? Has Capcom learned anything?
It’s as though Capcom had a really, really strong six-hour game then someone decided it needed to go to eight or 10 hours. The story conclusion in act three is fascinating, but the two-to-four hours extra the final sections add is painfully dull and repetitive. For a game that literally has you jumping at your own shadow, boring isn’t how you want it to end.
Worse still is the final boss fight, which attempts to be an epic finish but is all teeth and no bite. There’s no skill, no thought, just trigger-pulling. Then comes the ending, which just doesn’t fit with the past eight hours.
Act one and two are comparable with the first Resident Evil, while act three is closer to Operation Raccoon City. A shame, then, such a mighty behemoth would repeatedly stumble over the same shortcomings time and time again. Especially considering just how frightful and gripping the majority of the game is.
Conclusion
Resident Evil VII is the best in the series, despite its perplexing flaws. The unrelenting fear is second to none. The Baker Family, always stalking and taunting the player, are a fantastic addition. The deliberately obtuse controls are a way of making the game harder to play without feeling cheap. The stunning, grimy backdrops are easy to get lost in. Resident Evil VII is a must for fans of the series and horror fans alike and reignites the series in a meaningful-yet-familiar way. Fear is Resident Evil VII’s calling card, but after a quick shuffle, fear turns to tedium. Sometimes six hours is more than enough.
Score: The best 7/10 you’ll play all year.
Not tested: PlayStation VR functionality.
Note: All screenshots come via GamesPress, so while Res VII does look great on a standard PS4, it doesn’t look anywhere near as crisp as the early promotional material would have you believe.

RCW's RE8 Continuity
Raccoon City Winters: Village [1]
In the re8 continuity, I'd say the Winters family were even closer than they were in canon (even if only possible by a smidge).
In the three years that have passed since the Bakers Incident, Eveline's aging process had been permanently stabilized and she had started to age normally. She'd also became accustomed to the regular outside world, and spends any time she can outside.
Ethan and Mia both started going to therapy again, as the whole incident reminded them both of the events that happened in Raccoon City back when they were kids. Kyde and Zoe stay in frequent contact with them, and it becomes a bi-weekly thing for all of them to video call each other to catch up with each other.
Chris occasionally visits from time to time, disguising his visits as "mandatory check-ups" but in reality he just wants to see how well they're doing. Things are alright for a long time.
And then a baby is born! Eveline is ecstatic to have a younger sister, she calls out possible names like rapid fire. Ethan and Mia have bought so many things that are probably unnecessary but they won't risk a thing. They settle on the name Rosemary.
-
Mia realized. 3 years and 6 months later, she realized. She'd not noticed the difference, Ethan was always this way- how could she have noticed? The signs were way too similar to how they'd ben before.
This time- no, this time she wouldn't hide it from him. She tells him Monday. He doesn't react, Mia figures its best to give him time.
Tuesday, he forgets, looks at Mia in confusion when she asks him how he felt now.
Wednesday, he sits in the greenhouse with Rose for the entire day and only moves to feed her, then headed back to the greenhouse.
Thursday, Mia tries to tell him again, but she stumbles and begins to cry because she doesn't know why its so hard. He holds her in his arms until she cried herself to sleep.
Friday, Ethan lets her sleep, realizing she'd been stressed though not knowing what. He doesn't let her work herself too much, insists she just rested for the entire day. Mia sighs, and she does.
Saturday, she tried again. It's Rose's birthday, but she knew she couldn't stall this anymore or she'd stop trying. Ethan tells her a doctor wanted to see Rose soon, and Mia swore she tried to tell him. The words were right there and then-
"The only thing that matters is you and the kids."
It reminded Mia too much, of the Bakers situation, of Eveline when she was smaller, of Eveline telling her that she would happily die if it meant she got to spend time with her. Ethan gets a call from work, and Mia cursed herself for fucking it all up again.
She writes a note saying she'd gone to the store to buy some things. She hadn't planned to, but it was all that came to mind. Anything to get her out of the house so she could stop fucking up.
Mia Winters writes on the note that she will be back. Mia Winters never returned.
-
Ethan hoped he hadn't made Mia too upset. She'd told him before what Eveline had said to her so many years ago, and what did he do? Show nearly the exact same lack of care for himself.
He hangs up the call, heads downstairs to talk to Mia. Eveline tells him she left a note, went to the store. There's guilt he feels, heavy in his chest. She was upset, he knew it. Mia didn't leave like that unless she was upset.
Eveline tells him not to worry about it, Mom will be back soon and you two can talk it all out. Ethan only sat there and nodded, as Eveline made her way up the stairs.
He doesn't realize he never said anything to Eveline.
-
Mom was home!
Eveline smiled as Mom walked through the door with a few bags in her hands. Eveline called out "Mom's back!," took the bags herself (after convincing Mom she could hold them all) and went on to the kitchen with them. Dad, like an overgrown puppy, poked his head out from around the corner and went to talk to her.
Eveline forced herself not to listen in. Or, well, she tuned in to another channel, at the very least (it was the only way she could avoid eavesdropping on them). She puts the groceries in the fridge, purposefully takes a long time in order to keep herself distracted while the potted plants in the kitchen windowsill whisper incoherent things.
The last thing Eveline picked out of the bags was a bottle of wine. There was a distinct smell coming from the wine, one that reminded her of-
It smelled like blood. It smelled like blood? That was weird. This was weird. Eveline puts the wine away, but the smell remains in the back of her mind.
-
From his place on the floor next to Mia's legs, Ethan looked up at her and listened as she told a story that outright gave him chills. He tells her so, when she finished the book, but she only laughs quietly while Eveline gives a "review" in how the story wasn't that scary. She gives him Rose as a timer in the kitchen goes off, tells him to put the kids to bed for the night.
Ethan herds Eveline along, despite her protests of not being that tired. He puts Rose in her crib, and tucks Eveline in bed. His sits with the two of them for a few minutes, smiling as Eveline tried to give every excuse under the book to convince him to let her stay up. Eventually Mia calls him down, and so he says goodnight to both of his daughters, and heads back downstairs, where Mia had been cooking in the kitchen.
-
Eveline heard the sound of gunshots from downstairs merely moments after she felt the creature, and she scrambled out of her bed far too late to stop anything from happening. She hears shouting, as she moved over to pick Rose out of her crib, holding her little sister the way she'd been taught- she remembered- as she cried loudly, frightened by the sudden loud noises.
Eveline tried to calm her, and just as she did so, there's someone in her room- BSAA, a soldier who worked for them, holding a gun. He said something Eveline couldn't quite hear in her startled and confused state.
The soldier reached for Rose- Eveline's face twisted into protective anger. She warns the man to stay away from her sister, tells him not to touch her. He says something again, and before Eveline could react, Rose is pulled from her arms and Eveline fell to the ground. Her vision slowly faded to black as she laid on her side, staring at a needle that'd been sticking out of her arm. She looked away, her eyes staring open long enough to see Rose being taken away and someone else coming over to pick her up..
-
"The packages have been secured, sir."
The words feel like venom in Ethan's ears. He turned his head towards the sound of the voice and his heart dropped.
they had his daughters that had his kids why do they what do they want rose eveline my kids they have my kids tjey have my kids they have my kids-
Ethan panics. Of course he does, his children are in danger, and his wife- Mia, she's- His head hurts, and he can barely hear anything while his ears ring as he hyperfocused on the two soldiers each carrying one of his daughters and for a split second he feels like he's becoming disconnected with his own body and-
When he opened his eyes again, he'd been laying face first in snow. Beside him was a truck that was flipped over, the back door completely ripped off. He laid there, on the ground, his vision blurry and ears ringing. Someone's moving his arm.
Eveline.
It's Eveline.
Ethan pushed himself up off of the ground, taking a moment to balance himself. Eveline slowly stands with him, leaning against him as she held her left arm. She tells him a phone rang, that she answered it, but it cut out after a moment. Rose is gone, and Eveline isn't sure where she's been taken.
He tells her not to worry, before looking around them, hoping there was something that could help. He notices footprints leading towards the path filled with trees.
Unsure of where else to go, Ethan takes a deep breath, takes a hold of his daughter's hand, and told her they'd have to follow the footprints. She nods, visibly too unenergized to protest just how bad an idea that could be, and holds onto his hand tightly.
Together, the both of them walk forward slowly in silence, only sound being the snow of snow crunching underneath their feet.
