The longer Luna was away from Camazotz, the more she’d started to see things differently. She’d learned new things, and been exposed to new food, people, and even feelings. One of those was compassion; on Camazotz, Luna was forced to hold back her compassion. But now, she learned that there was nothing wrong in being loving and compassionate towards other people. So when she noticed that Elia didn’t look happy like usual, and her expression looked more like Luna’s, the blonde decided to try to comfort her. She pulled the other girl into a hug, just as Elia had done in the past with her. “Y-You’re welcome, Elia. A-Are you o-okay?” Although it didn’t seem it, she wanted to double check.

elia had been trying her hardest not to get herself down as of late, but she wasn’t exactly sure it was working at this point. the optimist that once lived deep within her was slowly dying despite her feeble attempts to preserve it. her gaze was shifted toward the ground in an effort to stop herself from crying, breath catching in her throat the moment she was pulled into a hug by the other. it came as a bit of a surprise but it didn’t stop her from wrapping her arms around the other and returning the embrace. “thank you luna, i really needed that.” she murmured as she held the other close but still careful not to squeeze the other too tightly.
