FFXVI for the fandom ask!!

my favorite female character: Jill! She's such a great heroine, she's badass and has such a good heart.

my favorite male character: Joshua is my favorite of all FFXVI characters hehe ♥ He has such a tragic background, and yet he's still so kind. I love his awkwardness too, he's just so precious!

my favorite cast member: Ben Starr is so funny, I loooove him 😂

my favorite ship: Clive/Jill of course! I love how it progresses through the game. It grows very naturally and that's what I prefer to see in a story. I will also give Joshua/Mid an honorable mention because I love their interactions very much, we just don't see enough of them!

a character I’d die defending: Joshua again 😂 Some people seem to consider him as a jerk, but I'll always be there to defend them when I see someone say something against my boy!

a character I just can’t sympathize with: Ultima. It's just not the kind of vilain I can sympathize with.

a character I grew to love: Dion is very, very dear to me 🥰 From the moment I saw him being conflicted with his father decisions, I knew I was going to like him!

my anti otp: Well, no incest for me, so as much as I love the bond between Clive and Joshua, it will never be romantic for me. Let people deeply care for each other in a platonic way please!

i deleted the tumblr app from my phone in April and promptly forgot about it for 2.5 months... but i'm back now!!

in the time i was away, i turned 30!

and i was poisoned from toxic fume exposure. ((bathtub resurfacing is very dangerous - even if it was your neighbor's bathtub that was resurfaced))

i have a hard time watching hawaii five-0, a show that i dearly love, bc i enjoy it too much and get embarrassed.

my life has become playing tears of the kingdom

i was strictly a PC gamer until i played breath of the wild in 2017. that game has changed my life ever since.

i miss my ps5. it's packed up for the next few weeks bc i'm moving out of the apartment that poisoned me. can't want to see My Man Witcher 3 Geralt <3

i've been vegetarian for 14 years. i just woke up one day and decided i was gonna be vegetarian. and here we are... 14 years later. i dont really have an end goal/date in sight. first it was a year, and then 2, then 5, then 10. I'm excited to cross the "being vegetarian for half of my life" in a few years!

i have Too Many copies of Top Gun on VHS due to a running bit/life commitment to preserving the most important movie/VHS tape that led to streaming services. i'll let you guess how many i have.

i saw Top Gun: Maverick 18 times in theaters. What a picture.

1. I’m bi! I’ve only written fanfic for guys so far, but I would totally write for women and non-binary characters too!

2. I’m in grad school and have a love-hate relationship with it. My semesters are a rollercoaster, so sometimes I have a ton of free time and others I’m so busy I drop off the face of the planet for a while

3. I’ve been on tumblr for over a decade. I was a lurker in fandom for a long time before I finally decided to make this account to start writing fic. I never realized what I was missing out on before I actually engaged in fandom!

4. I love being outdoors and being active. However, I hate running with a burning passion

5. My heart lies with old sci-fi shows and movies

6. I’m a chronic show and movie re-watcher, especially when it comes to said sci-fi shows/movies

7. I don’t play video games myself, but I love watching YouTube playthroughs! I generally love horror games

8. I absolutely love tattoos and my goal is to have sleeves one day. It takes me a long time to decide on a design though, so it’ll be a slow process

9. I love plants and flowers, which inspired my username. I’ve got a little garden and a ridiculous amount of houseplants. I’ve got a green thumb even though I don’t really know what I’m doing most of the time

10. I swear like a sailor and I’m pretty sure that bleeds into my writing

I'm curious about the Luke/Del wip!! 👀

Am I the only one that ships them? No I'm not! There are actually two Del Meeko/Luke Skywalker fics on AO3! So. You know. Clearly a popular pairing.

Screw it they were so fkin cute in the like 20 minutes they had together and I need more and I need Del being blushy and nervous aaaaaaa

"Hey. Del."

Del almost panicked, not prepared for Luke's voice so close to him. He stiffened.

"I— Hi," he managed to get out, barely louder than a squeal. "You... sneaked up on me," he laughed nervously. "Hey."

He swallowed. Instead of the black Jedi robes Del had met him in, Luke was now wearing the exact same X-wing pilot's jumpsuit as him. He looked so human now. So... normal. In all honesty, Del wasn't prepared for normal.

"I never got to say hello." Luke nervously scratched the back of his neck. "I'm sorry. I just... wasn't sure if it was too soon. It seemed like maybe you were still figuring things out."

Del nodded weakly. He had no idea how to say what he wanted to say.

I left because of you.

It felt too personal, too deep for this jarringly normal conversation in this completely normal hangar in this completely normal command post. It wasn't even close to the terrifying truth creeping its way into his mind no matter how hard he tried to resist it.

I left for you.

Del had never really thought he'd see this man again. Their parting on Philio had felt like a goodbye. A chance encounter that challenged everything he'd ever done and believed. One of those moments that you can look back on with complete certainty that it was when your life had changed.

So no, he hadn't prepared for meeting Luke Skywalker ever again. And he certainly hadn't prepared for meeting him like this. It wasn't mystical, strange, or profound. It was painstakingly normal. Nothing about this situation was outstanding. Just two pilots chatting after a battle.

"Are you alright? You look pale." Luke's brows furrowed when he tilted his head to inspect Del's expression more carefully. "Is it my fault? I'm sorry for sneaking up on you like that. I have some habits that are... hard to shake."

"It's not you," Del said with a raspy voice, lying blatantly because of course it was him.
