Five Times Yu Wenzhou Gets Stuff Thrown At His Head and the One Time He (Finally) Catches Something

The first day they meet, Huang Shaotian throws a Glory account card at Yu Wenzhou’s head. He’s been throwing things ever since. It’s fitting that Yu Wenzhou never catches a single item, considering he’s never caught on to how Huang Shaotian is hopelessly in love with him.

(Or, Yu Wenzhou accepts his asthma, falls in love, and learns to catch. Not necessarily in that order.)

I had the pleasure of arting for jelly’s YuYe big bang fic, “Seas, snails, and puppy dog tails: how to make him fur-ever yours”

When marine biologist Yu Wenzhou moved to America with his dog Shaotian for a new post-doctoral opportunity, he didn't expect to fall in love with the first person who caught his eye.

A fic about the Asian-American experience, interpersonal relationships, marine biology, and of course, falling for the man with the really cute dog.

QZGS Big Bang 2020

Hello again, fellow Glory fans!

We hope you’re all doing well. By popular demand, we have decided to run Big Bang once again this year! In these trying times, all we want is to make fandom a refuge for everyone. :)

If you joined us for last year’s Big Bang, then you’re probably already familiar with the rules and process. Even so, we ask newcomers and veterans alike to check out our website and read all the information before participating.

What is a Big Bang? A lot of fics and fanart, produced and posted in abundance to flood the fandom with affection! Fics and fanart of what kind? Any kind you like! Characters, themes, ships, it’s all up to you. All fics will be at least 7k words long and artists will produce fanart based on the submitted fics. How do I participate? Just read the rules and schedule, then sign up using one of the three forms linked on the homepage. Any special requirements? As long as you’re dedicated, you should be good, but we will require your alias and your email address, and ideally you should have either a Tumblr account or an AO3 account, since these are our two main platforms for posting. We will be offering generalized updates and reminders through Tumblr and Twitter, and more specific ones via email. Can I back out at any time? Pretty much, but try not to wait until the last minute to do so. We’d also prefer it if you didn’t disappear on us; just tell us if you no longer want to participate.

That's a wrap, folks! #qzgsbb2020 signups are officially over. Thank you to everyone who's chosen to participate. Watching the numbers go up these last few days was truly an experience. The suspense of it all! We have no words. Some of you have procrastination perfected to a fine art.

And speaking of art, the artists are assuredly outnumbered this time around. We are going to have to call on many of you to pair up with more than one writer. We hope our dear artists can accept this responsibility.
