One project I brought with me to my moms house to work on was a quilt pattern test for @mixmeasuremake This is a sneak peek of the upcoming #diagonaldazzlequilt I made a scrappy version and love it so much. One color idecided to use in this quilt wS purple. Then I quickly found that I did not have enough purple for the project and had to pull in some more pinkish purple shades. There's also some purples that are more blue. Since it's scrappy - it somehow worked out in the end. I've had a hectic week, but it ended with some fun. So I've been hard at work on a pattern test for @mixmeasuremake then my sewing machine become possessed. It would start sewing backwards for no reason when I was just chain piecing away. I took it to @stitchhousetexas on Wednesday and Friday they had it ready for me to pick up! I was off from work early Friday for a doctor's appointment and meetup with my sewing friends @thesharonaguilar and @sherryfuerst for lunch and some fabric swapping. Today I'm packing up to go spend time with my mom. Today is her birthday, but we will celebrate later. She fell and broke her wrist this week and will have surgery on Monday. I'm taking my quilt to finish and before my mom broke her wrist, she wanted to make some bowl cozies - so I packed up supplies for that too. And my ambassador fabrics from Jaftex are going to meet me at my mom's house and I'll get to play with some new fabrics there. Not sure how long I will be there, I'm going to take it a day at a time.
