Here is my #pqfirstquiltever. I made it when I was in high school. I bought all my fabrics for it from the clearance bin at Walmart. I created a paper template for my square. Pinned and cut each square. You should note ... this was in 2000 when there was such a thing as rotary cutters ... I just didn’t know about them yet 😂. I made my quilt into sort of a slip cover for my gorgeous (😉) 90s style comforter. I used this quilt A LOT! As you can see ... not all of that clearance fabric was very high quality or even cotton 😂😂😂 I love bringing this with me on my talks because it’s fun to show folks that everyone started somewhere.
