Fullness of Joy
🍽️📖📈📈📈📈📈📈📈📈🛐🙏
Joy is not found in the bleak hallways of a nightclub, drugs, money, laurels or the fleeting pleasures of adultery and fornication. Things like this rob you of joy and leave you empty. Beloved, true, everlasting and untenable joy is found in God. True Joy is found in His presence.
"Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore" ( Psalm 16:11 KJV).
Learn to cultivate the presence of God. Practise God's presence daily. It should not be only during the time of prayer. Do not focus on God in Church only; focus on Him daily. Be expectant and anticipate His presence. Learn to stir His presence with psalms, hymns and songs.
If you seem to wake up depressed and unhappy, try a merry heart. Start your day with a spark of God's refreshing presence and be conscious of the precious presence every moment.
Further Studies:Proverbs 10:28; Psalm 47:1; Romans 15:13.

Be Strong in the Lord 2
🍽️📖📈📈📈📈📈📈📈📈🛐🙏
Let me show you one of the best verses in scripture:
“No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it” (1 Corinthians 10:13).
There are three key things to learn from this verse.
First of all, there's no temptation or trial you are going through that hasn't happened before. In other words, there are experiences from others that you can learn from. That's why reading and seeking Godly counsel is always the way to go.
The second is an incredibly heartwarming promise. God will never allow a temptation that's beyond you. This means that for everything you go through, God knows that you have the inherent capacity to handle it. Glory! Even if you feel that a challenge is beyond you, it isn't. You are well able to handle it. Paul calls it "the faithfulness of God."
The last key thing from this verse is that there's always a way of escape from every temptation and trial. Your job is to find what that way is and take the path. That's why prayer is crucial. In prayer, God shows us the paths of our lives.
Why don't you meditate on this verse today? Are you going through a test or a temptation, this verse is just what you need.
Further Studies: Psalm 46:1-3, Isaiah 41:10; Exodus 15:2; Psalm 9:9-10.

Be Strong in the Lord 1
🍽️📖📈📈📈📈📈📈📈📈🛐🙏
Sometimes, to understand what God is saying, we need to understand what God is not saying.
In Paul's inspired missive to the Church at Ephesus, he gives his closing remarks.
"Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might" (Ephesians 6:10)
But he doesn't say, "Be strong."
Rather, he says, "Be strong in the Lord." The word used here in the Greek for strong is the same word "dunamis" which is also used in Acts 1:8, where Jesus tells the disciples to wait until they are endued with power from on high.
In other words, Paul is not just saying "be strong," but he's saying to believers to be strong in the power of the Holy Spirit. Your strength lies in your fellowship with the Holy Spirit. That's where you'll know the power of His might. Strength is spiritual.
So, don't let the trouble and turbulence of this world change your direction. Set your sails on the Holy Spirit and refuse to be weakened by challenges that take aim at you on a daily basis.
Are you strong in Him?
Further Studies: Psalm 46:1-3; Nehemiah 8:10; 1 Chronicles 16:11; Philippians 4:12,13.

*Let Nothing Move You*
🪴📈📈📈📈📈📈📈📈🌴
In Christ, you'll have to stand.
Many things will try to move you and destabilize you in your walk with God.
Situations.
Problems.
People.
Thoughts.
Fear.
Anxiety.
Just name them.
But make up your mind that no matter what happens, you'll stand firm in Christ.
Paul reminds us:
_"Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain" (1 Corinthians 15:58)._
Paul's life was a practical example:
_"But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God" (Acts 20:24)._
Let nothing move you!
Further studies: 2 Chronicles 15:7; Philippians 2:16; 1 Thessalonians 3:3; 4:1.

You Will Give an Account
🍽️📖📈📈📈📈📈📈📈📈🛐🙏
Oneday, all the pomp and pageantry of this life will come to an end.
And we will have to give an account of our lives on earth.
Guess what? It's not optional.
Every will account for their lives.
So, says the scriptures.
_"So then each of us will give an account of himself to God" (Romans 14:12)._
Need more proof?
_"For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil" (2 Corinthians 5:10)._
_"And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done" (Revelation 20:12)._
Knowing that you will give an account of your life, what manner of life should you live?
I'll leave you with a very important question for today.
If the world were to come to an end today, what will you say to God?
The answer to that question will help you reorganize your life.
Further studies: Hebrews 9.27; 2 Timothy 4.1; Matthew 25.31-46; 1 Peter 4.5.

*Don't Be Tired of Doing Good*
🪴📈📈📈📈📈📈📈📈🌴
This year, don't get tired of doing good things.
That's Paul's reminder to us.
_"‭‭And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not" (Galatians 6:9)._
It's easy to get tired when you do good things.
This usually happens when the people you do good towards don't appreciate you.
It can also happen when you don't seem to see the results of all the good things you're doing.
Sometimes, your strength just gives in, and you become mentally, physically, and emotionally tired.
But there's grace for you.
That's why the Bible tells us not to get tired of doing good things.
Even when no one celebrates or acknowledges you, keep at what you are doing.
Know that your God is a rewarder, and He'll reward your faithfulness.
This year, plan not to be tired.
Do more for Jesus than you have ever done.
Further studies: 1 Corinthians 15:58; 2 Thessalonians 3:13; Hebrews 10:35-39; 12:3.

SPEAKING THE TRUTH IN LOVE
🍽️📖📈📈📈📈📈📈📈📈🛐🙏
When a man falls into a ditch, condemnation comes along to throw more mud and widen the ditch. Correction, however, comes to offer the man a way out of the ditch, showing him his missteps and how not to fall in there again.
The Prophet Nathan could have walked into  King David's palace and screamed viciously: "You adulterous and greedy man. Murderer, ungrateful king! God will judge you. God will punish and judge your house." All of it would have been true. David had indeed done all these things. But what would Nathan have achieved? That approach would most likely end up antagonizing David or breeding depression and bleak fear.
God wanted to bring him to repentance and reconciliation but not condemnation. So, Nathan began with a parable and listened for David's response. From there, he pointed out David's errors and rebuked him accordingly. King David's eyes were now opened.
_"And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the LORD. And Nathan said unto David, The LORD also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die" ( 2 Samuel 12:13 KJV)._
Speaking in love produces conviction. Nathan rebuked David in a wise, respectful and yet uncompromising way. David was convicted of his fault as a result.  A wise man once said, "Truth without love is condemnation and love without truth is compromise." The way you present the truth is very important. Love is not harsh. Let's speak the truth in love!
Further studies: 2 Samuel 12:1-15; 2 Timothy 3:16.

*Don't Start Anything Without God*
🪴📈📈📈📈📈📈📈📈🌴
God must be first.
He must be the last.
And He must be the center.
In simple terms, God must be everything in your life.
But He can't be everything if He's not the first.
Ever read Genesis 1:1?
_"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth."_
Read it this way.
"In the beginning, God..."
God must be in every beginning.
He must be at the beginning of your work.
He must be in the beginning of your relationships.
He must be the beginning of your finances.
And well...
He must be the beginning of your day.
_Why not start the day with Him. It will turn out much better than you expected!_
Further studies: John 15:4-5; Philippians 4:13; Luke 5:4-7; Romans 11:36.

The World Is Not Your Home
🍽️📖📈📈📈📈📈📈📈📈🛐🙏
It's easy to be caught up by this world.
Before long, you are so comfortable in this world that you've forgotten about one tiny detail: this world is not your home.
Well, I didn't say it. The scriptures did.
_"For this world is not our permanent home; we are looking forward to a home yet to come. Therefore, let us offer through Jesus a continual sacrifice of praise to God, proclaiming our allegiance to his name" (Hebrews 13:14-15)._
The world might offer us some sense of belonginess, but it's temporal at best.
You are from above
Your home is above.
Your home is in the father, the abba.
That's why Jesus told the disciples:
_"If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you" (John 15:19)._
Live knowing that one day you will return home.
Will you get home with honor or shame?
Your choice.
Further Studies: 1 Peter 1:17; 2:11-12; Philippians 3:20; Colossians 3:1-2.

Impatience Comes from Comparisons
🍽️📖📈📈📈📈📈📈📈📈🛐🙏
One of the worst things you can do to yourself is to compare yourself to others.
It will make you sad.
It will give you jitters.
It will make you feel like a failure.
Even if you think you are better than others, you'll end up becoming complacent.
Nothing good comes from comparisons.
That's what the Bible calls comparing yourself with others a lack of wisdom.
_"For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise" (2 Corinthians 10:12)._
In fact, comparison breeds impatience.
The more you compare yourself with others, the more you are forced to take steps to measure up to them -- sometimes evil steps.
_"Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes" (Psalm 37:7)._
By all means, be inspired by others but don't compare yourself to them to your detriment.
Further Studies: Galatians 1:10; 6:4-6; Psalm 73:2-6; Proverbs 23:17; 24:1; Habakkuk 2:3.

*George Grenfell*
_Knights of the Kingdom Series_
🛐📈📈📈📈📈📈📈📈 🛐
George Grenfell was born at Sancreed, near Penzance, Cornwall.
In 1875 he went as a Baptist missionary to Cameroon, West Africa, with Alfred Saker (1814–80), and thereafter did some exceedingly important work in exploring little-known rivers of the Congo Basin. In 1877 he removed to Victoria and explored the Wouri River and in the following year he ascended Mongo ma Loba Mountain.
In 1881, cooperating with the Rev. T. J. Comber and others, he established a chain of missions at Musuko, Vivi, Isangila, Manyanga, and other points, and in 1884, in a small steam vessel, he explored the Congo to the equator.
He established headquarters at Arthington, near Leopoldville, in 1884, and launched on Stanley Pool a river steam vessel, the Peace, in which he explored the Kiva, the Kwango, and the Kasai rivers, and discovered the Ruki.
He was awarded in 1887 the Patron's Gold Medal of the Royal Geographical Society for his explorations in the Cameroons and Congo.
From 1893 to 1900 Grenfell remained chiefly at Bolobo on the Congo, where a strong mission station was established.
After a visit to England in 1900, he started a systematic exploration of the Aruwimi River and by November 1902 had reached Mawambi, about eighty miles from the western extreme of the Uganda protectorate.
Between 1903 and 1906 Grenfell was busy with a new station at Yalemba, establishing mission stations and exploring the Congo.
His work opened up that part of Africa to the Gospel and many lives were transformed because of his sacrifice. By exploring the Congo, he opened it up for development and fought against the evil Belgian administration. Grenfell died after a bad attack of blackwater fever at Basoko on 1 July 1906.

Christ Has Forgiven You Much
🪴📈📈📈📈📈📈📈📈🌴
Are you struggling to forgive anyone?
I have a simple hack to help you forgive.
The secret is to remember how much Christ has forgiven you.
In Matthew 18:23-33, Jesus speaks of the parable of the unforgiving servant.
This servant was forgiven of so much debt.
However, after being forgiven, He went ahead to imprison someone who owed him so little.
In the parable, the King who had forgiven him said:
_‭"...You evil servant! I forgave you that tremendous debt because you pleaded with me. Shouldn’t you have mercy on your fellow servant, just as I had mercy on you?" (Matthew 18:32-33)._
Would you want to be the unforgiving servant?
I hope not.
If Jesus can forgive you of all your sins, no matter how grave, you should be able to forgive others too.
_"Make a clean break with all cutting, backbiting, profane talk. Be gentle with one another, sensitive. Forgive one another as quickly and thoroughly as God in Christ forgave you" (Ephesians 4:32)._
Further Studies: Matthew 6:14-15; Luke 6:37; 17:3-4; Mark 11:25.

SEARCHING THE SCRIPTURES
🪴📈📈📈📈📈📈📈📈🌴
Every word in Scripture is like a seed. When you sow it in your heart with meditation and pondering, water it with rapt attention, and prune it with questionings and research in the Holy Spirit, it will bloom with revelation and insight causing you to bear the fruit of the spirit.
This is what Martin Luther did. He took the seed of Romans 1:17 and meditated, researched and listened to the Holy Spirit. With that he changed the history of Christianity. When asked how he read his Bible, he replied,
"I study my Bible like I gather apples. First, I shake the whole tree that the ripest may fall. Then I shake each limb, and when I have shaken each limb, I shake each branch and every twig. Then I look under every leaf. I search the Bible as a whole like shaking the whole tree. Then I shake every limb -- study book after book. Then I shake every branch, giving attention to the chapters. Then I shake every twig, or a careful study of the paragraphs and sentences and words and their meanings."
Assuming you are studying about a verse or a chapter, you can look at the context, historical background, maps, culture of the people, Greek/Hebrew words used and the depth of meanings, etc.
_"...If thou seekest her (wisdom from the word) as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God" (Proverbs 2:4-5 KJV)._
I'll want to recommend some Bible softwares for you. You can find an awesome app for deep Bible study called "mysword" for mobile devices. Softwares like PC Study Bible, Powerbible or Esword for the computer.

*God Still Cares*
🪴📈📈📈📈📈📈📈📈🌴
Perhaps you're at a place in your walk with God where you feel He doesn't care anymore.
Perhaps you feel that things are not working out and God is distant.
However, I have news for you this morning.
God still cares.
He has never stopped caring.
God still loves you.
Regardless of what has happened with you, God thinks about you.
_"How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! How great is the sum of them!_
_If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: When I awake, I am still with thee" (Psalm 139:17-18)._
And His thoughts are good towards you.
If you are keeping your distance from God because He longer cares, it's time to get back with Him.
I'll leave you with a verse:
_"Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you" (1 Peter 5:7)._
Further studies: Psalm 37:5; 55:22; 62:8; Matthew 6:25-26; Philippians 4:6;

*God's SEALS*
🪴📈📈📈📈📈📈📈📈🌴
In May 2011, the infamous terrorist Osama Bin Ladin was killed in Pakistan. This was a strategically planned mission carried out by the most elite of US Forces known as the Navy SEALS.
The Navy SEALS are trained to be the best of the best hence their training is of the highest standard. One of their training schedules requires that all the recruits be awoken and put in very cold waters.
Then their superiors will come and taunt them with warm coffee or hot chocolate. With the freezing temperatures they are in, taking the warm drink will seemingly be the best option. The best soldiers will refuse and remain disciplined. Anyone who takes the warm drink is withdrawn.
God trains us in a similar fashion. He allows temptations to dangle before us in a bid for us to learn how to be disciplined. Temptations are necessary for growth and as soldiers of Christ, we have to learn to deny ourselves and be disciplined.
_"Every man that striveth for mastery is temperate in all things...But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection" ( 1 Corinthians 9:25a,27a)._
Further studies: Romans 5:3-5; 13:14; Philippians 3:12-14; James 1:2-4.

*God Finishes What He Starts*
🪴📈📈📈📈📈📈📈📈🌴
When you read about Jesus, you'll quickly learn that He's the alpha and the omega.
Many times in the book of Revelations, Jesus referred to himself as the Alpha and the Omega.
_"Then He said to me, “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost. He who overcomes will inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be My son" (Revelation 21:6-7)._
Alpha is the first letter of the Greek alphabet, while omega is the last.
This is simply to say Jesus isn't just the beginning and the end; He is the start and the end.
In fact, the Bible calls Him the one who knows the end from the beginning.
_"I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please" (Isaiah 46:10)._
This is to say that He never starts what He doesn't finish.
Once He starts it, He will also end it.
What has God started in you or with you?
Don't let the wind and waves sway your confidence.
