Otis snorted softly, green eyes watching from just over his folded arms where they rested on his knees.

“And what if I'd already found it? What if I was happy where I was?” he retorted. “You're as bad as my parents were, doctor. Just because I don’t like mingling with civilized society doesn’t mean I have no place in this world.”

Strangers were happy to apply an “out of sight, out of mind” logic to people like him, and he was usually happy to let them. He wasn't a people person (certainly not the majority of people); one would think his fondness for his rats over other humans would make that clear.

They know what ‘appened, they know about the crash and the war and everything else. Maybe not necessarily what happened during it all, but they know it happened. I don’t carry a secret burden. An’ I know, if I really need 'em, my friends’ll be there. Genji, Jack, Jesse, they all got my back. Sure, some o’ the burden’s a secret, but it’s not crippling.”Not yet, anyway.

Do you make art?. Why do you only show art that is mainly landscapes?. What is it that you love about art?Sorry for so much questions, i'm just interested.

I do make art, but it stays in the confines of my basement. The art posted is not mine, thought I'm in love with the talent! My favorite thing about art is that it makes you feel something, and the same piece of work can hold so many different feelings for different people. Art is a different adventure for each person, which I can't say for many other forms of expression. I don't try to go for mainly landscapes, it's basically what ever catches my eye. No worries about the questions, I hope you enjoy the page! (=

Is she happy?

Lena lingered on the question, guarded eyes roaming the floor. Sure, she was happy. After all, former friends who she thought were long dead. She had a job that she adored, friends that were closer than her family, a stable home with a loving atmosphere.

But what of the things she’s been through?

What about the way her body aches as she wakes up, despite being only 29? What of the sleepless nights and sudden attacks of deep rooted PTSD? What of the shaking hands and pounding energy drinks to encourage the popular mood everyone enjoyed? What of the plane accidents, the lost time and the experiences endured? Could these factors ruin her chance at happiness now?

Lena finally looked up, forced a smile, swallowed hard.

“Yeah. ‘course.” She lied.

“Don’t you know how much good you’ve done for others?”

How does one return years upon years of butterfly effects and ruined lives? How does one return the time spent being fretted over, the time spent developing new sciences to return her? How does one return the lives of those that forfeited so she could continue? She couldn’t. So Lena satisfied herself with working toward helping as many as possible. Her red marks could never be erased, but at least some lives could be changed in her path to forgiveness. “But I’m still tryin’, yeah?”
