Idk whom to ask lol, but why is joylada named so? I have been here for long but fandom names always confuse me, do you know about this?

Hi! I've never looked it up before, but here's what came up after a quick google search:

PondPhuwin and JoongDunk together are called Joylada gang (they use it themselves). It's from an event during which they started reading some titles on Joylada which is a fanfiction app 🤣😅 fans were shouting at them not to read the fanfics lol

I know there’s a lot of people upset about how Charlie basically stole Babes powers and I understand why. But at the same time Charlie did everything he did for Babe. @queersouthasian explains this in a post probably way better than I can. But Charlie is devoted to Babe. I know it doesn’t excuse him lying and sort of manipulating Babe but it does give an explanation. He will do anything and everything to keep Babe safe even if that means lying to Babes face.

Another thing I’d like to add is that Babe is still The PitBabe with or without his powers. As we saw in episode 6, he’s still the best racer on the track. For someone who’s powers have defined their being since they were little I’m sure it’s very disconcerting not having that part of their body, but at the same time I can’t help but think about Babe must feel a bit relieved. With his powers come a lot of responsibility and stress and Charlie lifted that off his shoulders for now.

I’m sure that Babe will get his powers back, based on all the foreshadowing, but for now Babe can just be a normal person or alpha if you want to be technical. He can just be a guy who has a boyfriend who will take care of him and love him.

KKHH: Basically a QL version of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai but only the college parts.

MafiaVerse: A collection of Mafia QLs, all partially inspired from BLs or GLs initially which grew into a different beast altogether. It's about 6/7 interconnected projects that are also stand alones meaning you can read each and it's a stand alone and all of them exist in the same space/universe and interact with each other. Read all, read a couple, read one, I designed them specifically so you can have options.

Right now, I am halfway through Simon Sinek's Infinite Game. Before that, I was reading My Love Mix-Up! manga (Volume 5). A week before that, the Grandmasters of Demonic Cultivation (Volume 2). After Sinek, I would probably read Walter Isaacson's Innovators next. I don't really have any real aim when I pick a book to read other than having something to do during my downtime lol 😅

No clue, the promotion of this series is a whole entire circus. We got mystery characters, and even a surprise parrot with its own character card - whoever saw that one coming.

I haven't seen them mention anything about any streaming platforms nor airing date anywhere, and the trailer we got was just pilot trailer, so who knows when and where it's actually going to air.

I'm sure though that if we get any info either @mysterygrl20 or I will post about it. Whenever that may be.

1. standing next to you by jungkook. this bitch (affectionate) has not left my brain, my soul and my spotify rotation since it came out. im a big fan of this modernized 80s trend that's been happening for a few years and this song is just a stunning example of it. good job kookster!

2. spectrum (calvin harris remix) by florence and the machine. now listen...im the biggest florence fan, she is my all time favorite artist and as a result her songs are always present in my favorites list. every couple of months i get obsessed with a new song by her like it's the first time I've heard it and this month it's this one. hearing a beloved song with a different color added to it is such a treat,im obsessed!!

3. run for roses by nmixx. this is simply their best song, you can argue with the back of my head! it's so atmospheric and cinematic and still has that signature nmixx switcheroo in the pre chorus but this time it's some kind of irish jig melody. how fun!

4. bratitude by bratz. im actually not going to explain anything, you either get or you don't 🫰

5. water by tyla. no one is save from the allure of tyla and that is just the truth. this is giving me a perfect soundtrack to daydream about sun and warmth and sand between my toes. im pretending im not freezing my ass off in negative temperatures and tyla helps me along the way!

Sky (Love in the Air)

Sky was dealt such a shitty hand in life and I'd do anything for him to be happy for the rest of it. Killing Sky's ex for instance! Though Prapai would have gotten to him way before me so I wouldn't have to worry about going that far 😅

Uea (Bed Friend)

Very similar to Sky; Uea deserves so much better and if anyone tries to hurt him, you can meet me in the back of the Denny's parking lot.

Look... I'll be honest... it seems like I have a type when it comes to fave characters... Slightly fem guys with a hard exterior (usually because of trauma) and with devoted (future) boyfriends who have no problems submitting to them. On top of that they're usually characters that would be stereotyped as bottoms but don't have the stereotypical virginal innocence and seeming aversion to sex but instead own their sexuality, no matter what kinda kinks it involves. (honestly if you list any character in BL that fits this description, you've made a list of my favourite characters but that's for another time 😅)

Both Uea and Sky fit this description perfectly and as such I have sworn to protect them and their honor! 🗡️🛡️

Seeiw (My Only 12%)

I adore Cooheart and I really connected with his portrayal of Seeiw. It's probably the closest a BL character has come to my own queer experience so it really just resonated with me. On top of that, him and Cake are just the cutest so of course I'd fight anyone who has beef with Seeiw.

Li Ming (Moonlight Chicken)

He is just such a darling! And him and Heart's story was for sure my favourite in this show. They were such cute baby gays and I'd wanna protect them from all the negative parts of the world so bad.

Zouey (Playboyy)

Zouey is one of my current darlings and every episode I'm hoping the show doesn't do him dirty.

To me he is a perfect example of someone who would like to have sex, just in less conventional ways, but so far none of the other characters are shown to be very accepting of this which makes me worried for his future in the story.

All I want is for him to be allowed to want and experience the kind of sex he wants without feeling like he needs to give more than he wants and I would fight many many people (Teena, his whole friend group, the writers of the show etc) for that to happen.

Him and Teena could have some of the hottest and most fulfilling sex if Teena just got with the program, understood that penetration isn't the end all be all of sex, and let Zouey take the wheel.

Jaewon (The Eighth Sense)

In his case I don't need to just fight people (admittedly fictional people but still...) but also his own depression and survivors' guilt. If he wasn't already in therapy, that would be the first place I'd send him.

Don't get me wrong I'm very tempted to hunt down his old "friends" and give them a good talking to because they are some shit friends but I think Jaewon needs more support from people than for his old pals to get beaten up so I'll leave them be... For now!

Sun Bo and Hao Ting (History 3: Make Our Days Count)

These two are some of my absolute favourites when it comes to BL characters but also friendships within BL. They're just such lovable himbos who are down bad for their respective future lovers while also being such good friends.

I'll admit every time I see someone say this show is bad I kinda want to throw hands but then I have to remind myself that taste is subjective and even if this is one of my absolute favourite BLs, it might not be everyone's cup of tea. I guess I'll just have to throw hands with anyone in the show who wants to harm these two sweethearts instead of fighting with people on the Internet.

Anyways, go watch this show!!

Jom (I Feel You Linger in The Air)

Jom has been one of my favourites of 2023. He is just so tired of the situation but still just keeps going and caught himself a lover boy in the process.

He might not have trauma like Sky and Uea but he still fits my fave type of character pretty well so it's fair to say that he has my sword. And he has my bow... And my axe... Am I funny yet? 😄

Was actually thinking of reading the book because the show was so good but then I read someone say that the book ending was very similar in terms of vague hand waviness but maybe I'll read it while I'm in Thailand.

Second season when!?!?

Name (Remember Me)

This show had such a good start and seemed to be going some really interesting places but then it slowly fell apart and Name was one of the characters who suffered because of this. He deserved so much better and I hope so badly that Title (the actor who played Name) gets a role in something else that's better because he seems to have a lot of potential.

Honerable mention to the characters I'd throw down for but who definitely don't need it: AiDi (Kiseki: Dear to me), White (Not Me the series), and Ayan (The Eclipse the series).

Midnight Museum / I tend to watch most of Gun’s series as he is one of my favourite actors, this is my one Foei series this year, so I’m have high hopes for it because I don’t wanna waste my one watch featuring him 🫤 So far I’m liking it, but I’ve only seen two episodes, so there is time for it to either sink or swim.

Bed Friend / I’ve technically not started watching this yet, but I’m going to get around to it one evening when I’m not busy lol. I’m liking what I see about it so far and NetJames seems to have a great amount of chemistry.

The Glory / This is a rough one, a lot of trigger warnings for anyone who wants to go into this series. I’m halfway through the first season, going slowly because the second season isn’t coming out for a while. But so far it’s absolutely stunning, the acting, the storyline, it’s just shocking and amazing and horrifying.

- Rewatching

My Name / Seriously one of my favourite dramas, plus it has two of my favourite Kdrama actors in it. Han So Hee (be my wife plz) and Park Hee Soon (big daddy energy)

Weak Class Hero 1 / Rewatching it while waiting for the second season, Shi Eun/Soo Ho are so damn tragic and I love it.

The Untamed / Technically I never finished watching the series originally, stopped somewhere in early 30-ish episodes. So is it really a rewatch if I never finished the last 20 or so episodes? Kinda? Maybe? Who knows. Either way, watching it again because I’ve been reading the books and it’s gotten me interested in the live actor series again, even though they cut all ‘teh gay’ out of it.

The Witch 1 & 2 / Movies, not a series. But they’re some of my faves movies and I wanna watch them all over again because they’re bad ass, plus the first movie has Park Hee Soon in it and like I said, big daddy energy 🤤
