Today, someone began impersonating our account. Someone bought a handle or bought 24,000 bots/fake followers, started posting last night, and began impersonating us on Instagram by tacking on an extra s at the end, using our logo, and using their personal knowledge of Queens to trash our reputation and our borough. These things happen sometimes, but this account is different: it seems much more personal and directed at ruining our reputation rather than squeaking out more followers before moving on. Brian and I are devastated because this is not the Queens we know and the Queens that knows us knows we would never, ever do something like that. The REAL #queenseats has always been about being positive, keeping it real, supporting small business- especially those owned by immigrants and women, being a free resource to people in our borough who want to spend and support local, and supporting the folks who live here each and every day. What this account is doing is dragging our name and reputation, OUR BOROUGH, and our community who believes in this message of supporting local through the mud. We will not allow it. We will not stand for it.
