These are so well done!!! <3 I love Angel's hearing aid!

Alpha ARC Commander Angel and CT Koho - characters from Auribus Teneum Lupum from @airlockfailure Thank you for letting me draw them, and for answering all my many questions! I’ve Ramblings/old sketches under the cut!

I loved so many of the people/dynamics in the Invictus universe, but I think the combo of Angel being a doctor/commander and Koho being the quiet but iron-backed Got Me and never quite let me go.

First sketch is from June, and quite a few details are off (hair length, eye colour, haircuts, etc):

So, I continued iterating on this in July, but the expressions were fairly off. Koho is also the most complicated one for me because it needs to be younger and more ‘standard’, but it’s harder to convey than an older clone character.

I kept most of Angel, did a more focused Tem’s study (still a way to go, but better), and then used it as a base for Koho (jawline, etc):

Since all of my writing lately is either stuff I can't share or stuff I literally just posted, have some line art? The last thing I did was fiddle with the angles on the cheek lines.

ahhh thanks for that tag @quatredraws 🥹 last line is……god. I think working on laudna’s hand lmao. someone on twitter said to redraw this photo of chappell roan as imodna and I said hold my beer (but have yet to finish ofc bc I got busy with imogen angst)

it remains to be seen whether this will actually be finished since i’d initially only done the sketch bc the photo was especially compelling (dhampir laudna I miss you,,,,) but who’s to say. I haven’t been feeling good with drawing lately so hopefully this one gets kickstarted. we shall see!

This is possibly a lil off base for a challenge about lines, but my main art energy right now is being funnelled into this 3D modelling project that I'm doing in blender. The project started as a sketch of a TTRPG setting that I want to make, and has evolved quite a lot since my original isometric sketch - and I've taught myself a lot about using blender! It's a space station at the end of the universe.

I'm goddawful at tagging people, so consider yourself tagged if you see this. Yes, i really do mean it, tell me about your stuff.

On the 24th I was still reeling from reading Time in the Hourless Houses by Blackkatmagic so I wanted to a) figure out how to draw Xanatos as well as his son, Granta:

I only managed the above at the end of a few hours of trying (at first from memory, and then from a few studies of Daniel Wu as a base), which you can see under the read more!

You can tell the struggling, but it was the first time I looked at it and used it as a level up process rather than deleting it:
