Hey, I saw your Quarry asks were open! Could I possibly request one with reader and Nick? Maybe they get separated from the rest of the counselors after he’s been infected, things get a lil spicy with the whole “werewolf brain” kicking in(however you’re comfortable portraying that), but once the others catch up to you, their presence start to make things dangerous? Thank you!
It may have ended up a lil too spicy 🫢

There were times when you said that you liked horror movies. Especially ones like Friday the 13th, when group of people got stuck in the woods and were chased by some kind of maniac. You hated it now.
The summer was so good, it started good. You loved the whole time you got to spend in the Hackett's Quarry. You got yourself new friends, new hobbies, unique experience and most importantly... Nick. You got really close to each other after all this time. Romantically close after some time.
So when you learned that you got another night here, you didn't even think about panic of Mr.H. You were just glad that you got to spend another night closer to Nick. It was great opportunity to spend some time together without a single worry about your day-to-day life.
And then... The chaos ensued.
You still didn't understand fully what was going on. One moment you were sitting near the bonfire, having fun, and the other moment Nick was bleeding, being seriously wounded. You took him to the lodge with others, helping him to the best of your abilities. And when your friends went away to take some supplies and possibly call for help, you stayed back with him. And even there you couldn't be safe.
"There's someone there." Nick whispered to you, suddenly alerted. You looked at the door and darted to it, closing it just in case. When you turned around, Nick was already trying to sit up. You helped him out, carefully holding his shoulders. "We need to get out."
"You sure that there is someone?" You asked him suspiciously, and Nick nodded quickly. "Alright. But the others..." You reminded him of other councelors, who could still be in the lodge. Nick shook his head, grasping your forearms.
"Someone is close. They are far. They won't be here in time." He looked at you, desperation and plea in his eyes. "I want to... I want to protect you."
"You are wounded, you need protection yourself... Shit... Alright, let's go. I will hide you and come back for them." You helped him stand up and you both got out on the street through the window. It took you some time to find your way, but you managed to do so before you heard noise from the lodge. Hurriedly, in the dark of the night, you lead him to some guest house, trying to cause as little harm to him as you could to the best of your abilities.
Once you stumbled in a house, you tugged him to the bed, placing him to sit on it. You darted back to the door, closing it and checking the windows carefully. To see if anyone was there and if this place was truly safe for the boy.
"Alright, are you okay? Does it terribly hurt? I can gonna try and find something for the wound." You came back to Nick, looking at his bloody skin, pointing a flashlight at his figure, but he only shook his head, wincing away from the light.
"I'm fine. It almost doesn't hurt." He answered, and you breathed out. You wanted nothing more, but to cuddle with him and go to sleep, forget all about the nightmares that occured here. But that was impossible. Almost a dream in these circumstances.
"Alright. I'm gonna leave you here so I can..."
"No, don't go!" Nick grabbed your hand fiercely. You winced from the sudden movement, looking at him surprised.
"I need to check on the others. They might need our help." You tried to get your hand from his grasp, but his fingers held your wrist tighter than you imagined, gripping it stronger with your every try to free yourself.
"Don't leave me. They can manage on their own, they have a gun, you don't have anything, I can't have something happen to you. I need you." He almost begged you, not wanting to let you go. You had never seen him like this, so you were frozen for couple of minutes.
"Nick... Are you sure you're alright?
"Yes, I am, I... Don't leave me, please." He pulled you closer to himself, hugging you tightly by your waist, locking you in his arms and not intending to let you go in near future.
"Nick..." Your heart clenched at the sound of his desperate voice and clinging moment. "I'm here. I just... Shit, I don't know who or what is out there. I don't want it to get to the others. Or to us while we are here alone. Our strengths are in numbers."
"I can protect you." He retorted, his face buried in your stomach. You put fingers through his hair, caressing his head.
"You are wounded, love. You need rest and help. Not to protect me." Nick glanced up at you, his eyes almost glistening in darkness.
"I am fine. And I can and I will protect you, I promise." He insisted, moving his hands lower, on your hips. You stumbled a bit from the pressure, clutching his shoulders in response to stabilize yourself.
"Nick, I got it. I'm not going anywhere, I won't leave you, you can let go of me." You smiled a bit nervously, when you noticed his eyes never wavered from your face, nor did his hands moved away from your hips.
"I know. I just can't possibly let you go." The boy whispered, tugging you to himself, so you would sit on his laps. You blushed, looking down at him in surprise.
"Nick, come on. You are wounded, we... Can be in danger. We can't do that now..." He shook his head, stubbornly reaching forward to kiss your jaw.
"I said. I will protect you." He sounded almost angry at your stubbornness, emphasizing every word. But when you took the moment to gather your thoughts, Nick just flipped you over, quickly changing the pose and looming over you on the bed.
Your breath caught up in your throat, when Nick kissed you hungrily, not losing any time. He positioned himself between your legs, and while you had been... Intimate with each other more or less before, this quick and almost aggressive pace was something new. You felt his arousal through his jeans and sensed the tension in his shoulders, as he desperately clutched your hips.
"Nick." You moaned, as soon as he pulled away from your lips. The boy moved to your neck, leaving hickeys on it. You closed your eyes, as you tried to catch your breath. "Fuck, Nick, wait..."
"Mine." He groaned, tugging at your shirt. You almost heard the sound of a ripping fabric, and you decided that it's better to wear your shirt, rather than looking for a new one here in the darkness in an unknown house, so you quickly raised your hands, letting him take it off of you.
You breathed out harshly, feeling Nick's lips on your neck. As he slowly lowered his affection on his body, you trembled. You didn't expect such passion from him, that just overcame him in an instant, seemingly out of nowhere. You put your hands in his hair, tugging at thr strands.
"Nick..." His hands were working on the zipper of your shorts, him clearly not listening to you. He pulled them down, throwing the clothes away, after that taking off his own shirt in sharp moves. "Wait... Your wound." You furrowed your brows, when you couldn't notice the traces of the bite of this strange animal on his body.
"To hell with it!" Nick retorted instantly, pressing himself into your body again. He was almost burning up, his skin was hot and you hissed. He must have had a fever. You tried again.
"Nick, wait, why are you so... Fast and pressing? I'm not going anywhere, I'm..."
"Mine. You are mine." The boy hissed, leaving feverish kisses on your skin. "You can't even imagine how you make me feel. Your voice. Your skin. Your smell. Your touch. Your kiss. I'm obsessed over you. What have you done with me?" He whispered almost panting, not stopping even for a moment, as he gripped your thighs.
"I... Fuck... Nothing." You breathed out, clutching his shoulders, giving in to him completely. He was too persistent, too hot to think about something else, was it danger or your friends. You wrapped your legs around his waist, and he groaned, pressing his arousal into you.
"I will make you completely mine." He whispered, going down on you. You whimpered, covering your mouth with your hand, furrowing your brows. In response, Nick left a bite on your thigh. "I want to hear you, don't hide from me. I want everyone to hear how I make you feel."
"You've gone mad." You breathed out, looking down at Nick. You could swear that his eyes were glowing, but you weren't able to oppose it much longer. Not when he covered your sex with his mouth. "But I like it..." You moaned, closing your eyes and throwing back your head.
You put your fingers through his hair again, tugging and pulling at it, while he quite literally devoured you. He was never that eager and passionate about you. It was a whole new experience. You couldn't help but moan, losing yourself in your feelings. Nick worked fast on bringing your first orgasm, and you, overcome with tension, emotions and fear, just let yourself go. But the boy never stopped, pressing himself only more to your core.
No matter your pleas for a minute rest at least, he never stopped. The noises in the room were overwhelming, Nick seemingly enjoyed it more than he ever could apparently, his determination was astonishing and mind-blowing.
Suddenly he growled almost animal-like, his iron grip on your hips becoming tighter. You hissed from sudden discomfort mixing with your pleasure, not understanding why he suddenly became more aggressive.
"... Y/n?! Nick?!" You heard screams from the street. The guys caught up to you, and apparently it stressed out Nick to this point.
"Mine..." He groaned, his nails digging in your thighs. You whimpered and tugged him on his hair, upper, closer to you. At the same time you wrapped your fingers around his cock, trying to ease him into his own climax.
Nick growled at the touch, his grip on your thighs becoming unbearable, as he slips hand over your sex, to get you to that high. You bit through your lip, feeling metal taste.
"Mine!" He kissed you, hungrily licking at your wounded lip. His fingers worked faster, coaxing another orgasm out of you, as you crushed down in his hands. He followed you in couple of seconds, staining you with his seed.
You didn't hear, feel or see anything for several minutes straight. Pain in your body, which was mixed with the pleasure, overwhelmed you as well as your emotions of fear, lust and love. As you were coming down from your high, you heard Nick's nervous voice.
"Oh hell, oh shit, fuckfuckfuck, Y/N, I'm sorry." You opened your eyes to see frantic Nick, looking at you, seemingly frustrated at something. You lazily reached out to him, taking his hand in yours.
"Hey, what are sorry for?" You smiled lightly, looking at him tiredly. He licked his lips, gripping your fingers.
"I hurt you. There... There are bruises! Scratches! Blood... You are almost unconscious, I..."
"Nick... You made me cum. Two timeS in a row. I'm fine with little bruising." You blurted out shamelessly with almost drunk smile. His grip tightened up for a second, but he mirrored your smile.
"Nick! Y/N!" Amy's voice sounded really close, as you glanced at the door. They came really close to you.
"Shit..." You winced, when you tried to sit down. Nick furrowed his brows, as if fighting with pain, his eyes glancing over you. "Nick, give me my shorts."
"You will leave me?" He asked you, clearly unbelieving your words. You sighed, losing last crumbles of understanding about what was going on with him.
"I don't want them to see me like this. And I bet you don't want them to see me naked either." You explained quietly. Nick nodded and stood up, going straight to your shorts. You barely could see anything in the darkness, but the boy navigated his way pretty well on his own, you noted.
When he returned to you, you put on the shorts he gave you and reached for the shirt, wincing from the pain. When you stood up, you felt blood from the deep scratches Nick left on your thighs. Shit, he was honest, it must have looked awful. It felt like it. The boy watched you with pained expression on his face.
Suddenly he stood up and take his shirt off, keeping only tank top on his body. He hugged you and wrapped the piece of clothes around your waist, tying its long sleeves, so your hips would be covered.
"I'm sorry." He whispered again. But before you could say anything or move to the door, he looked at your face with that strange fire in his eyes, that was almost menacing. His voice dropped a tone "If they even dare to look at you strangely, I will kill them, take you away and devour you whole."

જ⁀➴ As the bus disappeared around the bend, the low hum of the engine fading into the distance, an eerie stillness settled over the camp. San lowered his hand, glancing at the others with a smile that didn’t quite reach his eyes. “Well, that’s it. No more campers. Just us.”
Wooyoung rolled his shoulders, letting out a groan. “Finally. I thought I’d never get a break from pretending I actually enjoy arts and crafts. If I have to look at one more macaroni necklace—”
Yeosang cut him off with a smirk. “You’ll wear it and like it. Admit it, Wooyoung, you teared up when little Jamie gave you that friendship bracelet.”
Wooyoung pointed at Yeosang, mock-indignant, but his movement was a little too quick—betraying the friendship bracelet he had hastily hidden behind his back. “That’s slander. But, yes, I am a style icon, even with pasta accessories. You wouldn’t understand.”
Yn giggled softly, her laugh carrying in the quiet of the empty camp. Her gaze lingered on Wooyoung, fondness evident as she watched her boyfriend continue to defend his pride against Yeosang’s teasing smirk.
San stepped toward her, the keys jingling softly as he pulled them from his pocket. “Alright, lovebirds, save the flirting for later,” he said, quirking a brow at Yn before tossing the keys lightly in the air and catching them again. “We still need to finish checking the grounds before it gets too dark.”
Yn turned her attention to San, raising a brow. “You just don’t want to do it alone, do you?”
San feigned a dramatic gasp, clutching his chest. “Me? Scared? Never. But if you’d prefer to wander into the woods by yourself, be my guest.”
Wooyoung, overhearing, waved a hand dismissively as he continued to bicker with Yeosang. “San’s scared of his own reflection after sunset. Don’t let him fool you.”
San shot him a mock glare, tossing the keys to Yn. “Alright, brave guy, why don’t you take the cart and do the rounds instead?”
Wooyoung immediately faltered, his confidence deflating. “Uh, I mean, I would, but—”
“That’s okay,” Megan cut in smoothly, stepping forward and looping her arm around Yn’s. “I’ll go with Yn. We need to collect our bags anyway, don’t we?”
Yn blinked in surprise but nodded. “Oh, right. We left them by the staff cabin earlier.”
San arched a brow, twirling the keys around his finger. “Convenient excuse, Megan, but sure. Just don’t crash the cart.”
Megan rolled her eyes, tugging Yn toward the cart. “Please. I’ll drive safer than you ever could.” She glanced over her shoulder at the boys, smirking. “Try not to get lost while we’re gone.”
Wooyoung watched them go, his playful bickering forgotten as a faint pout crept onto his face. “I was going to go with her,” he muttered under his breath, earning a chuckle from Yeosang.
“Relax,” Yeosang teased, clapping a hand on Wooyoung’s shoulder. “She’s not running off into the woods forever.”

જ⁀➴ " so, want to tell me how you and Wooyoung ended up together?" Megan asked, a smirk held on her face.
You blushed, tossing the bags onto the golf cart, " we're high school sweethearts actually. I've known the guys since high school actually."
Megan nodded her head, the urge to roll her eyes being nearly impossible. " what about San, do you know if he's single?"
You stifle a laugh, trying not to give away the fact that San is dating you. " it's complicated?"
Megan hummed in acknowledgement, " he was a tough nut to crack. I was trying to have a summer fling, especially since Mr. Kim said that a spot open up."
Your eyes widened slightly, and you shot her a curious glance. "Wait, you were thinking about... with San?"
Megan shrugged nonchalantly, though her smirk suggested she was enjoying watching you squirm just a little. "Well, who wouldn’t? He’s charming, funny, and has that whole mysterious vibe. Thought it’d be a fun distraction, you know? I figured a little summer romance never hurt anyone.” She glanced over at you, gauging your reaction. “But now I’m thinking maybe I’ve got competition, huh?”
You turned away from her, trying to hide the annoyance that was bubbling up inside. "I wouldn't exactly call it competition," you muttered, your voice a little sharper than you intended. You could feel your cheeks flushing, and though you didn’t want to give her the satisfaction of reacting, it was hard not to.
You mumbled, "I’m going to go double check if we left anything," walking away from Megan, hoping some space would help clear your head. Megan didn’t argue; instead, she hummed to herself, watching your figure disappear into the distance. After a moment, you heard her settle back into the golf cart, the engine purring to life as she sat in wait.
You all agreed to hide the relationship within each other. It wasn’t exactly a secret that you were in a poly relationship, but you and the guys had decided to keep it low-key for now. Hongjoong and Mingi had backed out last minute, so the rest of you—Wooyoung, San, Yeosang, Yunho, Jongho, and Seonghwa—had come up with a more… playful way of managing things. The winner of a game of rock, paper, scissors would get to flaunt you as their girlfriend for the time being. It was meant to be lighthearted—nothing serious. But sometimes, it felt more complicated than that, especially when outside eyes started poking around.
You stood still, your gaze locked on the large tree ahead, its twisted bark covered in faded carvings. The remnants of past campers’ expressions of affection—names, dates, and hearts—etched into the rough surface. But one set of initials stood out to you, carving itself into your memory in a way the others didn't.
Jacob + Emma forever
A chill ran down your spine as your eyes lingered on the carving, the words far more unsettling now than they would have been in any other context. It wasn’t just the crude simplicity of the message. It was the weight of the history behind it. This was the same tree where previous campers had left their marks—before the murders, before everything had gone so horribly wrong.
You took a slow, cautious step back, trying to shake off the feeling of dread creeping into your chest. The atmosphere around you had shifted. The once playful atmosphere of the camp now felt heavy, darkened by the eerie presence of the past. The words on the tree had never bothered you before, but now, they felt like a warning.
Suddenly, a rustling sound from behind you made you freeze. You spun around quickly, your heart pounding in your chest. The woods had always been a little unsettling at night, but now, it felt like something—someone—was out there, watching. You strained your ears, trying to catch any movement or sound, but there was nothing. Only the wind whispering through the leaves.
You let out a slow breath, trying to calm yourself. "It’s just the wind," you whispered to yourself, trying to rationalize the feeling of unease. Still, something felt off.
Glancing back at the tree once more, you felt a shiver run through you. You were no longer alone in the woods; the history of this place seemed to weigh down on you, and the feeling of being watched was impossible to ignore. You couldn’t shake the thought that the dark memories of the past were still very much alive, lingering in the shadows of the camp.
You knew you needed to get back to the group—back to safety. But as you turned to head back to the golf cart, the air around you seemed to grow colder, the darkness thicker. It wasn’t just the remnants of a past tragedy that lingered here; it was something more. Something you couldn’t quite put your finger on.
Walking back to the golf cart, you climbed into the driver’s seat, trying to shake off the lingering unease that still clung to you. Megan let out a relieved sigh as she stretched her arms above her head, clearly glad you were back. "Finally, I thought you were going to be out there forever."
You gave her a small, forced smile, trying to keep your tone light. " had to make sure we had everything,"
Megan nodded, her smile wide and eager. "Back to the boys then! I'm so ready to head back home," she said, her voice bubbling with enthusiasm, clearly glad to be done with the strange atmosphere of the camp.
You nodded and started the golf cart, the engine hum filling the quiet between you. The wheels kicked up dust as you steered back toward the others. The flickering shadows of the trees seemed to stretch longer with every passing moment, but you pushed the unease to the back of your mind. You didn’t want to dwell on it, especially not with Megan so carefree beside you.
As you drove, Megan started chatting again, her voice a welcome distraction. "So, about that thing with San," she began, raising an eyebrow at you, "any chance he’s got a soft spot for me after all? I mean, I was thinking of trying my luck, but..." She trailed off, her gaze flicking over to you mischievously.
You groaned inwardly but kept your eyes on the path ahead. "Megan, seriously?"
" what? he's either single or not. I need a good fuck and San looks like he can give that to me,"
You clenched your jaw, trying to keep your expression neutral as you kept your eyes focused ahead. The words Megan had just said stung more than you expected, and you felt a rush of heat flood your cheeks. You knew she was always bold, but hearing her be so direct about San left an uncomfortable pit in your stomach.
"Megan, seriously?" you repeated, this time your tone sharper, betraying your frustration.
She seemed unfazed by your response, her smirk widening as she leaned back in the seat, her eyes gleaming with mischief. "What? I’m just being honest," she said, shrugging. "I need to know if he’s worth my time. You can’t blame me for looking for a little fun, right?"
"That’s… not the kind of conversation I want to have," you muttered, trying to push down the uncomfortable twist in your gut.
Megan raised an eyebrow, clearly still amused by your discomfort. "don't tell me you're a virgin ms. high school sweet heart?"
Your face flushed, the blood rushing to your cheeks as Megan’s words landed like a blow. The teasing tone in her voice only made the situation worse, and you could feel yourself shrinking under her gaze.
You tightened your grip on the steering wheel, trying to focus on the road ahead, but her words echoed in your mind, making your discomfort feel even more pronounced. "Megan, that's none of your business," you snapped, your voice colder than you intended.
Megan let out a light laugh, clearly enjoying the effect her words had on you. "I’m just messing with you," she said, though there was an edge to her voice. "Relax, I didn’t mean anything by it. Just trying to get to know you, that's all."
August 22, 18:01
જ⁀➴Yeosang stuck his tongue out at Wooyoung, a playful grin tugging at his lips as he turned on his phone. The familiar whine of Wooyoung’s voice echoed through the air, clearly frustrated. “Ugh, Yeosang! Seriously? I thought we were past this!”
San chuckled, the sound of his laughter echoing through the camp. He slammed the van’s hood shut with a satisfying thud, wiping his hands on his pants as he turned to face the group. “She looks good to go!” he called out, the pride in his voice unmistakable. “Now we just need Mr. Kim to hand us the keys and for the girls to come back.”
Wooyoung crossed his arms, still giving Yeosang a playful glare. “I swear, I’m going to make you pay for this later.”
Yeosang simply shrugged, not at all bothered by Wooyoung’s mock annoyance. "You wouldn't know what to do with me if you tried," he teased, eyes flicking to the van with a mischievous glint. "Besides, we’ve got everything ready. It’s just a matter of time."
San wiped his hands one last time and nodded toward the small office where Mr. Kim was supposed to hand over the keys. “Yeah, I’ll go grab them in a sec,” he said, his tone easy and casual. "No rush. It’s not like we’ve got anything better to do right now."
The rest of the group was scattered around the camp, most of them hanging near the van or chatting in low voices, waiting for things to be set in motion. You, on the other hand, were still making your way back with Megan, the uneasy feeling from earlier still lingering in your chest. The drive back had been quiet, but now, seeing the group come back into focus, you couldn’t help but feel like there was an unspoken tension among everyone. It was something you couldn’t quite place, but you knew something had shifted.
Megan hopped out of the cart first, waving to the group with a wide grin. "Looks like you all are ready to go," she said, her tone light and casual as she walked toward them.
Yeosang and Wooyoung nodded, their heads both tilting toward her as she approached the group. Yeosang gave her a quick smile, but Wooyoung’s playful expression remained unchanged as he fiddled with his phone, clearly more interested in his screen than anything else at the moment.
San, however, wasn’t as distracted. He noticed you gathering your bags and started walking over toward you, his steps slow and deliberate, almost as if he was giving you some space to handle whatever was on your mind.
You adjusted the straps on your bag and tried to push any lingering unease aside, wanting to focus on the present. But the quiet pressure from earlier—the unease you’d felt during the drive—still pressed on your chest, making everything feel a little heavier than usual.
San placed his hand on your hip, and you couldn’t help but flinch slightly at the sudden contact. The unexpected warmth of his touch made your heart race for a moment, but you quickly relaxed into it, feeling the tension from earlier ease just a bit. There was something about San’s presence that always made you feel grounded, even in moments like this when everything else seemed so uncertain.
He chuckled softly at your reaction, his fingers brushing lightly against your side as he adjusted his grip. "Didn’t mean to startle you," he said, his voice teasing but also gentle. “I’ve got it.” With that, he took your bag from your hands and effortlessly slung it over his shoulder.
You blinked, a little surprised by how smoothly he took charge of the situation. “Thanks,” you murmured, watching him as he stood there for a moment, the weight of your bag clearly no issue for him. His gaze met yours, and for a second, the world seemed to slow down, the noise from the rest of the group fading into the background.
Megan's eyes focused on the interaction between you and San, her gaze sharp as she raised an eyebrow. She then turned to Wooyoung, a teasing smirk tugging at her lips. “San’s a bit touchy with your girlfriend, isn’t he?”
Wooyoung glanced over at you and San, his expression unreadable for a moment, before he shrugged casually. “Yeah, looks like it,” he replied, his tone light but there was an edge to it, something playful but also knowing.
But before Megan could push further, Yeosang stepped in, his voice cool and composed. “But that’s how San is with everyone, nothing unusual.” He reached over and pinched Wooyoung’s side sharply, signaling him to cool it, his eyes narrowing slightly.
Wooyoung let out a quiet yelp at the pinch, giving Yeosang a look of playful annoyance, but he quickly backed off, raising his hands in mock surrender. In one swift motion, Wooyoung rushed to your side, wrapping his arm around your body with a dramatic flourish, pulling you into his side.
The sudden movement caught you off guard, and a surprised squeal slipped from your lips. You turned to give him a playful shove, but his arm was already firmly around you, and the laughter in his eyes made it clear that he was thoroughly enjoying the reaction.
“Gotcha!” Wooyoung said, his voice full of mischief as he grinned down at you. “I knew you’d make the cutest noise.”
You rolled your eyes, though you couldn’t suppress the small laugh that followed. “You’re such a dork,” you muttered, still trying to regain your balance after his unexpected move.
Without the boys noticing, Megan quietly approached the van and popped the hood, her eyes narrowing as she surveyed the engine with a mischievous glint in her eyes. She stood there for a moment, pretending to inspect the engine, all while a playful smirk tugged at her lips.
A small "ah" escaped her lips as her fingers expertly tugged on the rotor arm, removing it from its place with a satisfied look. She held it in her hand like it was some kind of prize, her eyes glinting with mischief as she examined it, clearly pleased with her little sabotage.
what's another night, she thought, a grin spreading across her face as she slipped the rotor arm into her pocket, hiding it away. The thrill of causing just a bit of chaos was too sweet to resist, and besides, they wouldn’t figure it out until they tried to leave. And by then, it would be too late.
She softly shut the van's hood, making sure it clicked shut with a quiet finality. There was no rush—she didn’t need to draw attention to herself. She walked away from the van with an air of nonchalance, her hands tucked casually in her pockets, as if nothing had changed.
The rest of the group was still distracted by their bags and idle chatter, completely unaware of the trouble Megan had just set into motion. Yunho and Seonghwa had now joined the group, laughing and talking as they made their way over to the van. Wooyoung, ever the playful one, hung onto you, wrapping his arms around your waist as he leaned against you with a dramatic sigh.
"Come on, Yn, how much longer do we have to wait before we can head out?" Wooyoung asked, his voice full of exaggerated impatience, though the teasing grin on his face made it clear he was just messing around.
You rolled your eyes, trying to shake him off without much success. "You’re impossible, you know that?" you muttered, laughing despite yourself. “We’re waiting for Mr. Kim to hand us the keys, remember?"
As if on cue, Mr. Kim walked out with a wide smile on his face, his steps light and easy as he approached the group. “What’s going on, Hacketers?” he asked, his voice filled with that familiar cheerfulness that had become almost contagious over the course of the summer.
The group turned to him, all a little relieved that it seemed like the wait was finally over. You could see the tension lift from their shoulders, even as they continued to chatter among themselves. But beneath it all, there was still that underlying tension—like something was just about to tip over, though none of them knew it yet.
Wooyoung was the first to speak up, still draped over you like a human blanket. “Mr. Kim, about time!” he exclaimed dramatically, winking at you as if they’d been waiting forever for this moment. “We were getting antsy here, waiting for you to show up.”
San, looking over at Mr. Kim with his usual relaxed smile, nodded. "Yeah, what's the hold-up? We ready to get out of here?"
Mr. Kim gave a little laugh, raising an eyebrow. “A bit impatient, aren’t we?” He walked over to the front of the van, holding out the keys. “Alright, alright, here you go,” he said, tossing them to Yeosang, who caught them easily.
“Now, don’t go breaking anything on the road,” Mr. Kim added, glancing at the group with a knowing smile before turning to leave. “And remember, no speeding or any funny business. This isn’t a race, you know.”
The group cheered in agreement, the excitement for the drive back building as they began to move toward the van. Yeosang climbed into the driver’s seat, sliding into place with the keys in his hand. He slipped the fob into the ignition, turning it with a quick flick of his wrist. For a moment, there was nothing but the sound of the van’s engine sputtering—groaning, struggling to come to life.
Yeosang furrowed his brows and turned the key again, but this time, the engine only let out a few weak coughs before falling silent again. He glanced at the group, his expression confused but still calm.
"Uh... guys?" Yeosang’s voice was laced with a hint of concern as he tried once more to turn the ignition. Again, nothing happened.
The rest of the group, all leaning against the van or standing nearby, exchanged confused glances. San stepped closer, his usual easy smile fading as he watched Yeosang try again.
"What's going on?" San asked, his voice casual but with a hint of concern creeping in.
Yeosang glanced up at him, his own frustration beginning to show. "It's not turning on..." he replied, shaking the fob in his hand as if trying to will the van to start.
As the group gathered around, a set of footsteps approached from behind. The sound was deliberate, heavy, and filled with a quiet sense of urgency. Mr. Kim’s voice followed soon after, concern thick in his words as he walked toward the van, his eyes scanning the engine.
“What happened? Is there an issue with the van?” Mr. Kim asked, his tone sharp with worry as he glanced at Yeosang and the rest of the group. His eyes flicked over the van as if trying to assess the situation.
The group exchanged looks, all of them feeling the weight of the unexpected trouble. San stepped back slightly, his eyes narrowing. "It just... won’t start," he muttered, clearly baffled. "We drove here just fine, right? I mean, it worked earlier."
Mr. Kim’s face twisted into a frown as he stepped closer to the hood, examining it more carefully. His fingers ran over the engine, checking for any obvious issues. But everything seemed normal, nothing out of place that could explain why the engine wouldn’t start.
"Let me take a look," Mr. Kim said, though there was an edge of frustration in his voice now. He opened the hood and leaned in, peering over the engine like a mechanic assessing a problem.
Yeosang, still holding the keys, tried the ignition again. This time, the van let out a weak sputter but refused to fully start.
"I don’t understand," Yeosang muttered, stepping back in frustration.
Megan, who had been quietly watching the scene unfold, stood slightly apart from the group, her hands clasped behind her back in a seemingly innocent pose. The corner of her mouth twitched, as though she was holding back a smile, but she quickly masked it.
The others were too preoccupied with the van to notice her behavior, but you couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off. You turned slightly, catching Megan’s eye for a split second, and you saw the faintest glint of satisfaction in her expression. It was enough to send a chill down your spine.
Mr. Kim, still looking under the hood, sighed. "Something’s definitely wrong," he muttered. "But I don’t see anything major. Looks like the engine’s fine."
Yeosang groaned in frustration. "Then why isn’t it starting?" he asked, looking around as if expecting an answer to fall from the sky.
Mr. Kim let out an annoyed groan, his frustration evident as he slammed the hood of the van shut with a force that made everyone jump. The sound of metal clashing rang through the air, but he didn’t seem to care. He dug into his pocket, the jangle of keys clashing together as he retrieved a set and held them up for everyone to see.
The group stared, confusion spreading through their faces as they watched him. Even Yeosang, who had been trying to figure out the van’s issue, stopped and turned toward Mr. Kim. The sudden shift in the air felt like a signal that things were not going to go as planned.
Megan, standing off to the side with her arms crossed, took a step forward. Her expression remained calm, but there was something in her eyes—something sharp and calculating.
Mr. Kim cleared his throat, looking at the group. “Well, it looks like we’ll be staying here another night. The van’s not going anywhere right now,” he said, his voice tight with annoyance. “I know it’s not ideal, but we’ll get it sorted in the morning.”
The group exchanged uncomfortable glances. No one had expected this, and the weight of the situation settled over everyone like a thick fog.
“That’s fine, Mr. Kim," Megan spoke up, her voice sweet but with an underlying tone that made the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. She stepped forward, the smile on her lips wide but her eyes cold. “We’ll be fine on our own. Really, you don’t have to worry about us.”
There was something unsettling in her words, the way she dismissed Mr. Kim’s concern so easily. The rest of the group stood frozen, unsure of how to respond.
Mr. Kim paused, glancing at Megan with a furrowed brow. He seemed to hesitate for a moment, his gaze flicking between her and the group. But then, as though dismissing his doubts, he nodded and tucked the keys into his pocket.
“Well… if you’re sure, Megan," he said, his tone softening. “I’ll make sure someone’s here in the morning to look at the van. But remember, stay safe and don’t go off on your own too far.”
Megan’s smile widened, a knowing look in her eyes. “Of course, Mr. Kim. We’ll be fine,” she repeated.
Mr. Kim rubbed his face, clearly exhausted by the turn of events, before he turned to Seonghwa, his expression stern. “You’re in charge, Seonghwa. No one in, and no one out, understood?” His voice carried the weight of authority, the kind of command that brooked no argument.
Seonghwa, who had been standing to the side, straightened up immediately, his posture shifting into something more serious. His usual calm demeanor shifted to something more guarded, as if he understood the full weight of Mr. Kim’s words. “Understood,” Seonghwa replied, his voice steady and unwavering.
Mr. Kim nodded, seemingly satisfied with the answer. He took a deep breath and looked over the group one more time, his eyes scanning everyone. “Make sure you all stay inside. Hunting season starts tonight.” His tone was final, a clear signal that whatever was coming, it wasn’t something to take lightly.
The group stood in stunned silence for a moment, processing what he had just said. Hunting season? The words hung in the air, thick with a sense of foreboding that no one could quite shake. Everyone had heard the rumors—the stories of the area being dangerous during certain times of the year, but hearing it from Mr. Kim made it feel all too real.
San was the first to speak up, his voice tense but laced with the same calm he always carried. “Hunting season? What exactly does that mean, Mr. Kim?” His brow furrowed as he glanced around at the others. They were all starting to realize that this wasn’t just some precautionary warning—it was something more.
Mr. Kim’s eyes softened slightly, but the seriousness of his words remained. “It’s exactly what it sounds like. There are things out there. Things you don’t want to cross paths with after dark. Just stay inside, lock the doors, and don’t wander off. I’ll make sure someone checks on you in the morning.”
Seonghwa, standing near the front of the group, gave a firm nod in response to Mr. Kim’s orders, his expression unreadable but clearly resolute. “We’ll stay inside,” he said quietly. “We’ll be fine.”
Mr. Kim gave one last nod, his expression hardening, before he turned and walked toward his truck. The engine roared to life as he revved it, the sound of the truck cutting through the still night air. He drove it closer to the group, parking it near the edge of the campgrounds, ensuring that he could keep an eye on things from a distance.
“I mean it, you guys,” Mr. Kim called out from his truck, his voice louder now, firm and resolute. “Stay inside. No exceptions.”
His eyes scanned the group one last time before he slammed the truck door shut. The heavy rumble of the engine faded as he drove off into the darkened distance, his vehicle disappearing into the night.
The weight of his words hung in the air, settling over everyone like a thick fog. The group stood in silence, the tension palpable, each person processing what had just been said.
Megan’s voice broke the tense silence, her tone almost too light, too playful for the situation. “Well, now that Mr. Kim is gone, let’s have a party!” she said, her words dripping with a mischievous lilt.
Her sudden shift in energy felt jarring against the quiet weight of the night. It was as if she were trying to cut through the tension, but the effect wasn’t exactly comforting. You could see the others’ uneasy glances exchanged, as if they were all weighing whether or not to entertain her.
San, ever the protective figure, gave her a pointed look. “Megan, now’s not really the time for that,” he said, his voice firm. His hand briefly brushed against yours, grounding you as if he could sense your unease.
Yeosang, too, seemed hesitant. He glanced over at Seonghwa, silently seeking reassurance, but when Seonghwa didn’t immediately respond, he gave Megan a cautious smile. “It’s probably not the best idea, Megan. We should stay inside and wait for morning.”
But Megan wasn’t deterred. She put on her signature grin, her eyes glinting with mischief. “Oh, come on. A little fun never hurt anyone. We’re stuck here, might as well make the best of it, right?” She swung her arms dramatically, as if it were all just a game.
Wooyoung’s carefree attitude seemed to slice through the tension, his playful shrug drawing the eyes of the group. "Why not? A last hurrah before we go back home," he said with a grin, his voice light, but there was a glimmer of something darker in his eyes, as if trying to mask his own nerves.
Yunho, ever the easygoing one, nodded along, a mischievous smirk playing at his lips. “Ehh, what’s the harm? I still have some booze from last night anyways,” he added, pulling out a small flask from his jacket pocket and giving it a casual shake.
The suggestion of a party wasn’t exactly what you had in mind, but it was clear the others were leaning into the idea. Yeosang’s eyes darted between the group, his lips pressing into a thin line as he seemed to weigh his options. He looked like he was about to voice his concerns but hesitated, clearly torn.
"Don't look at me like that," Yeosang muttered under his breath, crossing his arms. "You know I can't be the boring one every time."
Megan's excitement was almost contagious, but you could sense the undercurrent of tension still hanging in the air. She bounced on her heels, clearly thrilled by the idea, her grin widening. "Yes! Sannie and I can go look for some snacks!" she exclaimed, turning toward San with a gleam of mischief in her eyes.
Seonghwa’s calm and authoritative voice cut through the chaos of excitement, his small smile reassuring. He looked around at everyone, giving out tasks with precision. “Wooyoung and I will be in charge of getting wood. Yunho and Yeosang, you guys make sure the phones are charged for music. Yn, you and Jongho can go ahead and meet us there.”
You blinked for a moment, taken aback by Seonghwa’s decision to put you with Jongho. It wasn’t like you minded the company, but you hadn’t expected him to pair you with him so suddenly. You gave a quick nod, not wanting to question the plan. Wooyoung quickly came by to place a kiss on your lip.
" see there beautiful!"

Jacob has the visceral need of breeding his bf
Tumblr media
Creaking Wood
Jacob Custos x Male Reader
IM BACK CHAT (for the most part) expect hopefully more activity from me 😭
cw: Nsfw, slight alcohol consumption, jacob being fine asl, Breeding (obv), and a top bunk holding onto dear life bc it has to hold up two guys going at it…
Tumblr media
The crackling of the fire pit, aroma of beer and whistling of the wind set the perfect scene as the summer councilors sat around the fire conversing with one another. Your conversation with Emma came to a close, though as you felt as if someone was watching, lo and behold the hunk of meat who just couldn’t keep his doe eyes off you.
You took a sip of your almost finished Corona as you stare at Jacob back, your face beginning to tingle a bit from the beer but you also can’t help but feel it’s because of your boyfriend. You both stare for what felt like slight eternity until Ryan made a comment.
“Someone’s distracted” Ryan said to your left as he directed his gaze to Jacob than back to you
“Pfft, yeah okay.” You scoffed playfully, rolling your eyes in the process as you got up as you finished off your drink, crushing it up making sure to dispose of it properly. “I’m gonna go charge my phone inside i’ll be back though!” you explained to the group as you began to walk backwards, hands up, phone in one of them.
“Ay wait lemme come with!” Jacob yelled out, not even paying attention to Abby’s warnings to be safe on the walk…or maybe that was the alcohol. He walked over as you finally turned around walking correctly, giving a slight wave to the people still around the fire.
The stairs up to the cabin you and him shared creaked with each step you guys took, the darkness not helping with illuminating expect for the occasional lamp and or phone flashlight
“So w..what made you wanna come with?” You questioned, voice barely slurred.
“I mean if you want me to turn back I can~” Jacob playfully teased as a Tsk left your mouth and Jacob began to laugh
“Dumbass you know that’s not what I mean” Though a smile couldn’t help but come through before Jacob wrapped a hand around your waist, the floors creaking as you two walked inside. Soon closing the door as he pulled you a little closer to him, your walking paused as you allowed him to just hug you for a bit. The buzz of alcohol rushed across your face in the moment, even sober you know Jacob wanted to be around or in some way holding you so a buzzed Jacob is definitely gonna be clingy.
“So how long does it take for your phone to charge?” He questioned though the tone sounded a little suggestive, you took the time to go and climb your bunk as Jacob followed behind. “It’ll take a bit for it to charge, a good bit honestly so…do with that what you will” You said as you watched your boyfriend join you on the top bunk, his arm going around you as the silence fills the air for a second.
“Their tipsy~ they won’t check on us” Jacob said in an almost mischievous tone, his arm around you slowly moving to your face to move your lips towards his, though for someone with little brains he at least knew how to be a good kisser. It didn’t take long after that for Jacob to end up giving your bunk a run for its money. Jacob’s hand had your mouth covered as you felt his other hand keeping your back arched while he fucked you into the mattress.
“Fuckk babe you feel so good~” He moaned a bit as he got close to speak into your ear, looking back he’s even wearing his backwards hat which somehow just made the whole scene better even if you couldn’t fully see your boyfriend in what little moonlight there was.
All you could do was make muffled noises as you felt him go in and out, still making sure he’s got a good hold of you but now his hands moved down to hold you by the lower back as he made sure he made it all the way inside of you by going fast and pulling out until he begins to keep thrusting. “Shit i’m close-“ Jacob said almost like he was wincing, as if he didn’t want to finish yet.
You began to push yourself back into him as you gripped the bedsheets, being just as close, you needed that last bit of effort to bring you and Jacob to the edge. The fast thrusting soon coming to an end as you felt his cum slowly dripping as he pulled out, breaths heaving as the dopamine begins to pass until you ask a question both of you need to figure out
“How do we clean this up-“ D:

Can you write about reader comforting Jacob
nothing but time ୧⋆ ˚。⋆
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: jacob custos x f!reader
summary: you and jacob are hiding away together in one of the cabins after everything has gone to hell. an admission of what really happened to the van leads to an inadvertent confession of his feelings for you.
cw: hurt/comfort, friends to lovers, jacob pining, mentions of blood, swearing, tending to jacob's injury, first kiss, a bit of angst, reader makes him nervousss (2.7k)
a/n: i thought this prompt paired well with an idea i already had, so i decided to combine them. hope you like! also i did not mean for it to turn out this long lol
“Fuck. Shit. Fuck.”
Needless to say, you were not great with blood.
And there was a lot of it.
Jacob released a long, slow breath through clenched teeth as he lowered himself down onto the bunk bed, taking care not to rest any weight on his injured leg. His brows were furrowed and all the hard lines of his body were tensed in pain, but he was handling this remarkably well, considering. You’d think you were the one who had stepped in a bear trap.
You were trying your best to think about what a rational person would do in this situation—not that the situation you were currently in was in any way normal. What did one do when being hunted by werewolves at a closed-down summer camp with no way to escape or call for help? You shook your head, determining that going down that road would send you into full-blown panic mode. Instead, you narrowed it down: What did one do when one’s friend had stepped in a bear trap?
“Bandages,” you said firmly, more to give yourself a clear goal to focus on than anything. “Okay, yes. I think there’s a first aid kit in here somewhere.” You felt Jacob’s gaze on you as you began kneeling down to grope blindly under each of the bunk beds. You guessed you must have looked somewhat frantic, judging by the way he was looking at you as if you’d just started speaking a different language.
“Okay, I’m getting the sense that you’re really freaked out right now, but really, I’m fine. It’s not that bad. Look, I can still bend my—ah, shit.”
“You’re sitting there with a bloody stump for a foot and you’re telling me not to freak out?” you scoffed as you ducked to peer under one of the last beds, practically pressing yourself to the floor. It was dark in here, and you tried not to think about all of the mouse droppings and spiderwebs your arm was probably brushing against. Right now, that was the absolute least of your worries. Eventually your hand knocked against something solid, and a rush of relief washed over you as you pulled out the small first aid kit. “Got it.”
“Hey, come on. I know it looks bad, but I still have a foot.” You could tell he was making an effort to sound like his usual self, light and joking, but his voice was strained, his breathing a bit heavy.
“Pretty soon you won’t, if it gets infected,” you pointed out as you returned to the bed he was on and crouched down in front of him with the kit, rifling through its contents.
“Okay, not helping.” He watched as you pulled out a roll of bandages and a tiny bottle of rubbing alcohol, a twinge of uncertainty flitting across his features. “You, uh, know what you’re doing with that?”
“No, not really,” you said, grimacing as you examined his ankle. It was caked in drying blood and dirt from when he’d had to race through the forest barefoot. You took a steadying breath, willing yourself to stay cool as you focused on ripping off a small piece of fabric from your already-torn shirt. “It’s not too complicated though, right? Clean the wound, then wrap it up. Easy. I took first aid once when I was like, fourteen.”
Jacob nodded, leaning an arm on the bedpost. He didn’t look too reassured. “Oh, great. See, that makes me feel a lot better.”
You shot him a sharp look, glancing up momentarily from where you were leaning over his leg. You found that his eyes had already been on you, and you thought you saw something in them soften as his lips quirked into a lopsided grin. “Sorry. Just kidding. You’re who I’d trust most with this kinda thing, anyway.”
“Really? Not Dylan?” you joked, using the bunched-up scrap of fabric to gently wipe around the wound as much as you could. When you placed a hand on his calf to hold him in place, you noticed the way he stiffened, went completely still, but you attributed it to him trying to brace against the pain.
He huffed a laugh, shaking his head a little. “You know what, scratch that. Definitely Dylan.”
You reached for the rubbing alcohol next, unscrewing it and holding him in place a little more firmly. You tried to keep from wincing at your next words, knowing it was about to hurt like hell. “Okay, now this might sting a bit.”
The bed creaked as he straightened up. “Wait, wait, wait, what are you—”
His words abruptly cut off with a grunt as you poured the alcohol over the wound. “Fuuuck,” he hissed out between clenched teeth, his eyes squeezed shut and his head falling against his chest.
“Sorry. It’s better if you’re not expecting it,” you said apologetically, glancing up at him with a weak half-smile. You set the bottle aside and began unraveling the roll of bandage, determined to work quickly. Who knew how much time you had here to hunker down in safety before one of those things burst through the window?
Jacob’s jaw was tensed, a muscle in it jumping as he let out a long breath, but he nodded, another attempt at nonchalance. “I’m good. Totally good. Barely felt a thing.”
The smile on your lips grew a bit at that as you began wrapping the bandage around his ankle, trying to make sure it was snug but not uncomfortably so. A silence fell in the space between you, and you suddenly became very aware of the strange intimacy of the moment—the fact that you were alone together, touching him so casually, the only light in the dim cabin the moonlight slanting across the floorboards.
You were sure he was watching you, and for some reason you were very determined not to look up as you finished wrapping him up, leaning in to tear the end of the roll off with your teeth. “There, I think you’re fine,” you said, glad to fill the silence. “It’s probably not the best, but…”
“Thanks,” he said quietly, and it sounded so sincere that your heart squeezed in your chest. He groaned as he looked down at his leg. “God, I’m screwed, aren’t I?”
“Just be glad it was your foot and not that handsome face of yours. How would you get all the girls?” you grinned, attempting to lighten the mood as you tied the bandage off tightly. Your slightly shaky fingers made it a bit difficult, but you managed.
You heard him breathe a laugh, but it sounded half-hearted, and when you glanced up at him, his smile didn’t quite reach his eyes. “Yeah. Right.”
His eyes lingered on you for a few seconds, an expression in them you couldn’t quite place, and you cleared your throat, brushing off your scuffed jeans as you stood. The feeling in your stomach was one you were familiar with—a twisting, fluttering sensation that only happened when Jacob looked at you a certain way. One that you were used to shoving down, where it couldn’t be examined too closely.
Crossing your arms over your chest, you walked over to the window, hesitantly scanning what was visible of the grounds and the trees of the forest beyond. There was no movement; it was quiet, almost peaceful. In a way, it only made you more anxious. “I don’t know how long we’ll be able to stay in here,” you said, worrying your lip between your teeth. Your mind was racing with what your next move should be. “Maybe we should try to go find Nick and Abi, make sure they’re okay. Do you think they’d be at the lodge?”
A fresh wave of worry washed over you as you thought about your other friends and the fact that you didn’t know where they were right now, if they were safe. Would all of you make it out okay after all of this?
“I don’t—yeah, the lodge. Good idea,” Jacob said from behind you. After a moment you heard him let out a sigh, and you turned back to him. He looked distraught, his faraway gaze focused on the floor in front of him. He didn’t seem to notice you staring at him as he ran a hand through his hair, the movement a bit agitated. “God, I can’t believe…” he trailed off, and he gave a small shake of his head. “This is all my fault.”
The words were muttered, as if meant more for himself than for you. You frowned in confusion, studying his face. You’d never seen him look so serious. “What? What do you mean, your fault?”
“All of this. It’s only happening because… because of me.” He rubbed a hand over his jaw, seeming to contemplate something, and finally looked up at you. “I messed with the van.”
It took several seconds for you to process what he’d said, the implications dawning on you much slower than they should have. “Jacob…” you started, but you didn’t know what to say. It felt like your thoughts were wading through sludge.
“I messed with the van,” he repeated, the words rushing out of him. “That’s why it won’t start. It was stupid, and I didn’t know all of this shit would happen, but it did, and if anything happens to you, or—or anyone, I…”
Your mouth opened, closed. You stared at him in shock for a long moment, taking in his pleading expression as the previous events of the evening replayed in your head. Of course. It hadn’t made sense that the van had just stopped working all of a sudden.
You rubbed a hand over your eyes, a slightly hysterical laugh bubbling out of your chest at the sheer absurdity of your current situation. What even was this night? You’d think you were dreaming, if you hadn’t known any better. “What the fuck, Jacob? Why?”
“I just needed—” he let out a breath, looking away from you. “I just needed more time. We’ll be going off to college after this, and it won’t be the same, y'know? I didn’t get a chance to tell you—” he cut himself off, looking frustrated with himself.
You stared at him, your arms dropping to your sides. What was he trying to say? “A chance to tell me what?” you asked uncertainly, swallowing against your dry throat. His eyes met yours for a few beats, and you felt like you could see the unspoken words in them, understood all at once.
To say you hadn’t considered anything more than friendship with Jacob would be an outright lie, and an unconvincing one, at that. Of course you had—you’d formed quite a bond since the very first week of summer, had grown fond of his dumb jokes and the way he teased you constantly, which quickly became a comfortable back-and-forth between you that came so naturally you hadn’t remembered it being any other way.
And he was attractive, of course. No one could deny that.
“I don’t…” Your voice was faint even to your own ears, barely a murmur. It was all you could muster.
“That I like you,” he said simply, as if he couldn’t hold the words back any longer. “That’s what I wanted to tell you.”
You still hadn’t regained the ability to speak; your gaze flitted about the room as if searching for what to say before landing back on him, on his brown eyes, watching you with a softness and a hint of sadness that made your heart twist in your chest.
You opened your mouth to speak, not particularly knowing what would come out, but he raised a hand to stop you, seeing the expression on your face. “You don’t have to say anything.”
Another silence fell after that, one in which your mind was reeling with the new reality that you had just been hit over the head with. Jacob, having feelings for you? For how long? And why hadn’t he told you earlier, at any other time prior to being in a life-or-death scenario like this one? After a few minutes—or maybe ten, you didn’t know—you pushed off the wall and slowly ambled over to sit beside him on the bed, where he was staring down at the injured leg you had just bandaged up.
“Ah, fuck—it wasn’t supposed to go like this,” he groaned, running a hand through his hair again. Your eyes swept over his face, lingering on the line of his strong jaw, on his soft-looking hair. “It was gonna be at the lake, or—or the campfire, y'know, once we were alone. And I would’ve had some liquid courage in me, so I didn’t sound like as much of a nervous idiot, and it would’ve just been chill—”
“Jacob—”
“—but then all this fucked up shit happened, and we all might be dead after tonight because of some dumbass romantic-comedy fantasy I had in my head—"
“It’s not your—”
“—like everything was just going to work out perfectly. Like one more night was going to change anything—”
“—Jacob. Look at me.”
The firmness in your tone made him snap out of his rambling, and when he finally turned to look at you, you didn’t allow yourself time to think twice. You took his face in your hands and kissed him.
That shut him up.
He went rigid for just a moment, but then you felt him melt into the kiss, leaning into you as his big hand came to rest on your thigh. It wasn’t a gentle kiss, nor an urgent one; it was deep, purposeful, as if a culmination of all the brief looks, small touches, and hidden thoughts that had passed between you. He kissed you as if it was just another summer night, as if you had all the time in the world in this cabin, and a warmth you hadn’t felt before spread through you as you marveled at how soft his lips felt against your own.
You broke the kiss, drawing back for breath, and you saw his gaze rove your face before falling back to your parted lips. “Wow,” he breathed after a long pause, for once looking as though he was at a loss for words.
“You didn’t have to wait all summer to do that,” you said, smiling softly, “just so you know.” You realized then that you were still holding his face, and slowly leaned away, letting your hands fall back into your lap.
“Huh.” He managed to tear his eyes away from your mouth to meet your stare, but when you bit your bottom lip, a habit of yours, you saw them flick back down once or twice. His hand hadn’t moved from your leg, and you were glad; it was warm and steadying. “Well, now I feel twice as stupid.”
You breathed a laugh, but shook your head slightly, looking at him earnestly. “Listen. None of this is your fault.”
He let out a breath, barely a sigh. “If I hadn’t—”
“—you didn’t know this would happen. You couldn’t have known,” you told him firmly. You rested your hand over his on your thigh, a spark of electricity shooting up your arm at the simple touch. “Any one of us could have made the same mistake.”
“I just… I’m sorry,” he said quietly, and though you didn’t want the apology, you nodded, knowing he felt like he needed to say it. You could see the pain in his eyes, the self-blame, and it made something ache inside you.
“We’re going to be fine,” you said, your grip on his hand tightening. Maybe you were trying to convince yourself of it just as much as him. “We’re all going to be fine.” You offered him a tiny, encouraging grin, needing things to not feel so serious right now. When he returned it, the corner of his lips quirking up in the ghost of his usual wide grin, you told yourself that it was just the beginning of… whatever this was. You weren’t going to think about the future right now, about everything that came after. For the moment, you were just glad to do this alongside him.
After all, once all of this was over, you’d have nothing but time.

“It’s okay. You’re okay.” Your voice is hushed as you try to remain as calm as possible.
But Jacob was definitely not okay.
You should have known this whole night was going to go to shit once you and your fellow counselors decided to throw a last minute party before you would all go your separate ways.
Stupid, stupid, stupid. The teenagers always die that way!
You didn’t have time to dwell on your stupidity now, though. Jacob had been bitten–yes, bitten–by one of those werewolves just like the one that was trapped with you two in the red room.
You don’t think you would’ve believed anyone who told you that werewolves existed. Especially the bony, hairless, freaks of nature that you had witnessed attack the two of you before your very eyes.
When Ryan showed up with Laura, one of the counselors who didn’t make it for the summer, and freed you two while revealing their plans to kill Chris Hackett, you probably would’ve thought that they were insane if it wasn’t for the hideous creature that was locked into the cell right next to yours.
Now, you and Jacob were lost in the middle of the woods, you with an injured foot and him being bitten in the shoulder by one of the creatures when he pushed you out of the way of its attack. The open wound was bleeding profusely and the skin surrounding the area was starting to darken. You wince at the sight as you inspect it.
“Oh my god, Jake. I think it’s infected,” you mutter.
His eyes widen as his head swivels towards you. “What the fuck! Don’t tell me that!”
“Sorry!” You rip off a piece of your already torn pants in a feeble attempt to stop the bleeding. The fabric soaks up all the blood within seconds and you curse as you throw the useless scrap aside. “There’s a lot of blood here. I don’t know what to do.”
“Fuck–just, I don’t know, just think of something!” His words are sharp, in a tone you rarely ever heard from him, and you could hear the impatience and struggle in his voice.
“No need to get pissy with me; you’re not the only one injured here.” You gesture to your foot that was caught in a bear trap just moments prior. Trying to make your way back to the lodge had been proven a failure when another one of those goddamn werewolves appeared out of nowhere. It caught you off guard but was spooked off by a gunshot in the distance, which had led to your current situation.
“Sorry. It just really fucking hurts,” Jacob says, gripping his shoulder as he hunches over in pain. Exhausted, you plop down on the ground next to him and lean back against the tree.
You try to remain calm and wrap your head around what the actual fuck was happening tonight, since no one was around to explain to you what was going on now was.
“Okay, so I’m pretty sure that with all this shit—” you throw your hands in the air to motion to everywhere around you, “—there’s probably not a single person coming to look for us. I think our best bet is to just…wait this out. Whatever this is.” You put your head in your hands and sigh. “It’s also no use trying to move, with my leg and your arm all fucked up. Hopefully the thing that just attacked us won’t come back for seconds.”
Jacob awkwardly pats your shoulder. “Hey, hey, don’t worry about that now. At least we…” His eyes seem to glaze over as he stops talking in the middle of his sentence.
You pause at his sudden shift in behavior. Jacob was usually never this quiet, and you assume that would extend to when he was in pain. Even though this night turned out to be absolutely batshit insane, you weren’t expecting Jacob to act so unpredictable. You were worried he was hurt more than you initially thought. “Jacob…you all good?”
He blinks rapidly, as if that’ll give him the answer. “I…I don’t know, it’s like…” he rubs his chest with a closed fist, his other hand swiping across his forehead to wipe off some sweat before running it through his unkempt hair. “I feel so…hot.”
You let out a sigh of relief. That was a lot better than him saying he was in more pain. There had to be some water source close by that wouldn’t be too far for you to walk to on your own with your incapacitated foot. You could work with hot.
“Okay. Okay, that’s good.” You go to stand up from your place next to him. “Stay here. I’ll try my best to find some water to cool you down.”
“No!” Jacob grabs your arm with so much force that it knocks your head against the tree as he pulls you down to him again.
“What the fuck, man!” You rub your forehead where you made contact, wincing as you got to your knees once more. “That fucking hurt. Watch it.”
“Fuck, I’m sorry.” He calls out your name, more gentler than his abrasive tone. He still hadn’t let go of your arm. “I-I guess I don’t know my own strength anymore.”
You give him a once-over. Jacob was definitely much paler than minutes before, save for the blackness that sprang from the bite wound, and his skin was glistening with a layer of sweat that was extremely concerning given the practically freezing temperature of the night.
“Look, if you don’t want me to leave, that’s cool. But I don't think it’s a good idea for you to stay like this. You need something, anything. You’re not doing too well.” Jacob appears as though he registers your words, as his grip loosens enough for you to wriggle free from it.
“Thanks,” you breathe out. You begin to leave before being interrupted again.
“Wait!” Jacob calls. You turn around, now completely fed up. You were trying to help him, but he was making it so goddamn difficult. “I—I wanted to apologize.” Jacob audibly gulps. He’s clearly starting to become delirious, slurring his words and panting profusely. But you let him finish. “I didn’t think all of this would happen. It was only meant to be one more night.”
The implication behind his words makes your heart drop. “Jake,” you start hesitantly, “what are you talking about?”
Jacob continues to ramble. His eyes are glazed over, and you’re not even sure he heard your question. “I didn’t picture any of this to happen. I wouldn’t have done it if I knew of the—the werewolves and shit. I wanted us to have one more night together. I didn’t want you to leave.” He coughs, giving you time to register his words. “Needed another night to build up the courage, you know?”
You inhale shakily, reeling in your anger. “Are you saying that…that you purposely ruined the van so we’d get stuck here?” “Just for the night!” His voice rises defensively, and he grabs onto your arm. “Don’t be mad! I didn’t know it would end up like this!”
You try to wriggle free from his grip, but it’s iron tight. “Let go of me!”
“No! Let me explain!” He pulls you down to the ground and crawls on top of you, trapping you with his body.
From your position, you’re able to get a better look at Jacob. The blackened area that was around his bite wound was clearly spreading across his body. The veins in his neck were black and bulging, and the color was starting to move up his face. He was sweating profusely, his skin slick with moisture and his face turning a deep shade of red.
Your eyes widen in concern, the anger rushing out of your body. “Oh my god, Jake, you look bad. I need to get you help. Like, right now.”
He lets out a growl, so inhuman it has you pausing in your struggle to be let free.
“Not when you're angry at me.” Jacob’s breathing gets more noticeable as the black in his veins spreads more rapidly to his face, and at this point you’re too afraid to say anything. His eyes go bloodshot as he looks down at you, panting heavily. It’s then that you feel the hardness against your stomach.
“Jake…” your voice shakes with fear, unsure of what he was going to do.
It seems as though he’s trying his hardest to restrain himself. His body trembles and his jaw clenches. “I’m sorry,” he chokes out. He begins to grind himself on you, and you can feel his leaking cock through his boxers.
“I don’t know what’s going on,” Jacob pleads. “It feels like I’m going to die.” He continues to push his length against you, whining. “I need to—to—”
“O-okay, just,” you gulp hard. You didn’t want to hear him say it. “Just be gentle.” You shut your eyes tight, and try to hold in your tears. If this would help Jacob from whatever that werewolf bite did to him, you would accept it, and hope that it’ll be over quickly.
With your approval, Jacob wastes no time in ripping your clothes off. The shreds lay limply on the dirt next to you, and that’s when you notice that his fingernails had grown sharp, too. He pulls off his own boxers, and you turn away after getting a glimpse of his throbbing cock, leaking with precum.
Jacob forces you to turn over, positioning you onto your hands and knees. Without any warning he rams his whole length into you with so much force it knocks you over, unable to balance on your forearms. You collapse into the ground beneath you, feeling your body get caked in the loose dirt as you’re shoved back and forth. You barely register the pain you feel where Jacob just entered you.
“J-Jacob wait!”
He ignores your protests and continues with the ruthless pace. You cry out—in what was pain or terror you aren’t sure. You can feel warm liquid running out of your pussy, what was most likely blood from the intrusion.
His balls slap against your ass as he thrusts in and out of you. His tip reaches the furthest parts of you, having you moan involuntarily. Your nails dig into the dirt beneath you as you get pummeled into it, trying to find a way, any way, to stabilize yourself.
You don’t think Jacob is coherent anymore. All you can hear from behind you is low grunts and growls, and his saliva dripping onto your bare back. He takes his hand and smashes your cheek into the ground, giving himself more momentum for his thrusts. Your body gets dragged across the ground as he moves you every which way.
“Jake…” You don’t even have the strength anymore to push back. His cock feels so big, so full inside of you, and you feel as though you’re about to break from the force of his hips against your own. The pain has subsided for the most part, and some pleasure takes its place. All you can do is allow yourself to enjoy it as best you can.
You reach your hand down towards your clit, wanting some relief. If Jacob’s going to get something good out of this, you may as well, too. Your hands are caked in dirt, but at this point nothing about what is going on could be sanitary.
You rub your hand fast against yourself, trying to match the pace of Jacob but failing. He moves faster than what you ever thought was possible, and you shakily give up after mere minutes.
Jacob’s now sharp fingernails dig into your sides as his cock pulses inside you. Your walls squeeze him tight and he lets out a loud groan from above you. Your own arousal wets his cock even more, and the pap, pap, pap of his thrusts are louder than ever.
Feral is the only word you could use to describe him now. His strength seems to have increased by a tenfold and he has you completely still by the force of a single hand. His other one grips your hip, drawing blood, which only seems to egg him on. He forces his cock deep inside you over and over to the point where your vision goes completely black.
His cock throbs furiously, and you can tell he’s about to cum. Another wave of fear washes over you. You didn’t think Jacob had any plans to pull out, not with the state he’s in. “Not inside!” You try to struggle against his hold, but it’s no use.
Jacob doesn’t listen—rather, doesn’t hear you—and his hot semen floods your pussy. You let a choked sob escape you as you feel the warm liquid drip out of your thighs.
You can’t focus too much on that now when Jacob is making strange sounds above you. He grunts, and his voice changes from his normal tone to one much more deeper and animalistic. You hear him let out a low curse behind you, and with him distracted you’re able to remove yourself from his still-hard cock.
As you cover your head with your arms all you hear from behind you is a loud burst, and the sensation of hot liquid coating your back and making you flinch. You turn to look and choke out a scream and frantically scamper away in the ground as the weight of Jacob’s body leaves you.
In your friend’s place is a werewolf, almost identical to the one in the basement with gray skin and gangly limbs with a mouth full of sharp teeth. You stare in terror, covered in Jacob’s blood, just waiting to be gored to death by the terrifying beast.
But instead the creature stares back, and for just a second, you think you see recognition in its eyes. Then it scampers away, snarling as it passes between the trees and out of your sight.
As Jacob (should you even call that thing by his name?) flees, you fall apart, choking on the sobs you tried your best to hold back before.
You pray to whatever god is out there listening that the sun would rise soon to save all your friends, and to pretend that this entire night never even happened.

author's notes: So I was watching Friday the 13th and came up with this… then I realized the character I wrote it for was pretty much unimportant… and so this happened. (Hence the Friday the 13th tag) …No horror elements are in this, though!

“I hate Monopoly,” Abi sighs.
You nod in sympathy. Abi, Dylan, Emma, and you are all cooped up in Dylan’s cabin for the night. It’s one of the last days that the counselors will remain at Hackett’s Quarry, before you all leave for the summer. The four of you had planned on meeting up before rejoining the rest of the counselors at the fire pit outside, but the unexpected rainstorm that came curbed those plans—leaving you somewhat stranded in Dylan’s cabin.
“Well, you’ve never played strip Monopoly, have you?” Emma grins, breaking you out of your thoughts. Abi, Dylan, and you exchange looks. Emma notices and sighs. “Come on. It’ll be fun. Besides, it’s terrible outside.” You follow her gaze to the open window across the room. Indeed, there’s a steady rain coming down now. There were a few thunderbolts, but nothing too serious. Unfortunately, returning to your own cabin would mean getting your clothes soggy and drenched. Safe to say, you’re stuck here—and stuck playing strip Monopoly to pass the time.
“Fine,” you acquiesce. Dylan and Abi follow your lead and surrender too. Emma really is too stubborn for her own good—there’s no way you’d be able to get out of this one. There are just some battles you can’t win, and strip Monopoly isn’t that laborious of a task. It’ll be more embarrassing than anything else. “How do we play, though?” You ask.
“We strip,” Abi responds with a deadpan voice. Dylan chokes on a laugh and Emma smiles.
“I got that much,” you huff defensively. “I mean, when? And why?”
“Clothing is currency, pretty much,” Emma explains. “The simple stuff—socks, shoes—are worth less. Underwear is worth the most… You get the idea.” You feel yourself frown and, when you look around the table, Abi and Dylan are wearing similar expressions of apprehension. Emma looks at you three and rolls her eyes. “If you don’t want to take your underwear off, then just play well. Duh.”
“Easier said than done,” Abi mutters. The remark goes unheard by Emma; you exchange an amused smile with Abi and she seems to relax a little. The four of you decide to make Dylan the banker; then, each of you choose your pieces and roll to see who goes first. You end up rolling the highest. Your first turn lands you on Oriental Avenue—one of the properties towards the middle of that first stretch of the board.
“So… if I want to buy it…?” You trail off, looking to Emma for help. She glances over at the property and hums.
“It’s $100,” she says, “so it’s worth two shoes.”
“This is weird,” you feel the need to announce, after taking your shoes off and throwing them onto the ground next to you with an exaggerated movement. Dylan hands you the Oriental Avenue property card with an amused smirk.
“No one’s going to land on that.” Dylan remarks. You raise a brow and hand him the dice. He’s conveniently located a few spaces away from the property, ironically; if he rolls a six, he’ll land on it. Dylan rolls the dice and the dice skitters across the board, before landing to reveal a six.
“I think you owe me a shoe,” you grin. Dylan pulls his shoe off and places it onto your open palm with a flourish. Within moments, you recoil and drop it onto the ground. “Why is there so much mud, what the fuck-?” You choke out, glancing down at the offending sneaker. Sure enough, there’s a solid layer of dirt on the sole. With the way Dylan handed it to you, you hadn’t seen the mud until it was too late. You get to your feet and head to the sink to wash your muddied hand. Abi and Emma are laughing hysterically, and Dylan joins them—wiping amused tears out of his eyes. You rejoin the table with an exaggerated groan. “I don’t think I want to play anymore.” You mutter.
“Oh come on, that’s just the game,” Emma chastises you, taking the dice and rolling. She rolls a three and moves the Scottie Dog piece three spaces. She decides to buy the property and gives up a shoe; soon, it’s Abi’s turn and the game continues.
After several rounds, you’re relieved to find that no one has needed to take off anything too revealing. Dylan’s shirtless; Emma doesn’t have socks or shoes; you don’t have shoes; and Abi is still wearing all of her clothing. When you reach your fourth or fifth turn, you land on North Carolina Avenue: a green property that costs $300. When you do the math in your head, you realize you’d need to give up two socks—not really a big deal—and your shirt—a much bigger deal. You stare at the property for several moments, contemplating whether you should take the risk.
“We don’t have all night,” Abi remarks helpfully, breaking you away from your thoughts. You stare at her with a faux expression of irritation and she just shrugs.
“I mean, she’s right,” Emma pipes up. “Just buy it already. Unless, that is, you’re scared… ”
It’s such an obvious trap. But you fall for it anyway. “I’m not scared,” you argue. And maybe, a small part of you is ultra-aware of your company right now—of a certain counselor sitting next to you, who you don’t want to look foolish in front of.
“Then buy it,” Emma dares you.
Fuck, she’s got you now. You walked yourself right into that one, didn’t you? “......Fine.” You say. Taking off your socks is a relatively quick and painless affair. Unfortunately, that leaves you an infinitely more difficult one: taking off your shirt. You’re not necessarily insecure or unhappy with your body; you’re just not the type of person to constantly flaunt it or reveal a ton of skin. You’ve certainly had moments where you’ve felt confident enough to do so—but now, in the far too bright light of the cabin, surrounded by friends (and someone who you have feelings for), you feel extremely hesitant.
“Well?” Emma demands. Abi elbows her in the side harshly and she promptly presses her lips shut, albeit with an outraged hiss at the temporary pain that the action caused. Abi and Emma aren’t really the ones you’re worried about… The two of them are rather hopelessly infatuated with one another, even if they don’t recognize it just yet. No, the problem happens to be sitting right next to you: staring at you with a surprisingly intent gaze.
Feeling as if you’ve been shoved under your microscope, you take a deep breath and reach for the hem of your shirt. Dylan’s shirtless too, you remind yourself. It’s not like you’ll be completely alone in your discomfort. And you’re not ashamed of your chest—you’re proud of how far you’ve come. You’ve felt more at home in your body these past few months than you’ve ever felt. It’ll be okay, you reassure yourself.
You’re about halfway through the motion, your shirt moving up along your ribs, when Emma’s phone pings. Everyone freezes, including you. Emma sighs dramatically and picks up her phone, eyes widening when she evidently stares down at the notification. When she notices that you’re all staring at her expectantly, she elaborates. “It’s Jacob,” she remarks, grabbing her socks and shoes and beginning to put them on. “Gotta go, guys. We’ll pick this up some other night.” She promises, tying her shoes before tugging her hood over her head and retreating.
Abi stares at the doorway with a frown on her face, evidently not happy with the new development. You look over at Dylan, only to catch him as he looks up from where you’re pulling up your shirt. You then realize that you’re still awkwardly frozen with it halfway off. You quickly drop your hand and pretend that nothing happened.
“I should probably go too,” Abi announces, placing her hands on the table and standing up. She’s looking at Dylan and you; it appears as if she’s going to say something else, but she seems lost for words. “I… left an excuse outside.” She immediately grimaces. You laugh and tell her it’s fine; she loosens up and leaves you both with a quick goodbye.
Now it’s just Dylan and you sitting at the table, staring down at the abandoned Monopoly game. For a long moment, there’s nothing but silence. Then, just as you’re about to break it by forcing yourself to say something, Dylan speaks.
“Were you really going to take your shirt off?” He asks, averting his eyes. You get to your feet and take a sip of your water, pretending not to feel flustered by the question.
“Did you want me to?” You counter, sounding much more composed than you actually are.
“Maybe,” he says, a lopsided grin rising on his face.
“Hm,” you say calmly, pretending to think about it. And if you are actually thinking about Dylan and you alone in this cabin, with no one else… then only you have to know.  “I’ll keep that in mind.” You respond cheekily, putting your socks on and slipping your shoes on—tying them with slightly shaking hands. You’re jittery all of a sudden.
“Hey, where are you going?” Dylan asks, squinting at you.
“To the bathroom…?” You remark. Unfortunately, as nice as the cabins at Hackett’s Quarry are, they don’t have bathrooms in them. The camp is still stuck in the twentieth century in that regard—as there’s a cabin with all the bathrooms located a short walk from the counselors’ cabins. You refocus on what Dylan just asked you. “Do I need a hall pass?” You ask snarkily, with no real heat behind the remark.
Dylan just rolls his eyes. You roll your eyes in return and leave the cabin, closing the door behind you. The rain is coming down hard now. It’s a relatively short walk to the bathroom, though—so you don’t bother to head back in for a raincoat or umbrella. The flashlight you snagged from Dylan’s living room is a godsend—as it illuminates the beaten path leading to the restrooms.
Thankfully, the walk to the restroom is quick and relatively painless—save for how soggy your clothing is becoming. After you use the bathroom and wash your hands, you stand under the awning at the entrance and turn on the flashlight. You flick the switch a few times, but it doesn’t turn on. You groan and head out into the rain, putting a hand to your temple to prevent the water from getting into your eyes. You trust your muscle memory to take you back to your cabin.
…Unfortunately, in the dead of night and amidst the brutal downpour, your muscle memory is worth jack shit. You get lost rather quickly, and soon you’re stumbling through thicketed trees with an increasing feeling of fear and dread coiling in your chest. You don’t want to spend all night roaming the forest. You’re somehow away from all the counselor cabins now. You try the flashlight one more time, even hitting it a few times, but it still doesn’t work. Groaning, you take a deep breath and try to retrace your steps.
By some miracle, you manage to make your way back to the restrooms and you head off in a different direction. A few minutes pass and relief courses through you as you spot the lights of Dylan’s cabin. You’re quick to run over and stand under the awning, before knocking on the door with an unnecessary amount of force. Dylan opens the door within moments, an annoyed expression on his face.
“What took you so long-?” He asks, breaking off as he looks at you. Dylan’s gaze wanders up and down your form, evidently taking in your drenched clothing. You’re sure you look like some sort of wet cat—soaked and unhappy. “Should’ve worn a raincoat.” He clicks his tongue, stepping aside to let you in.
You groan in frustration, moving past him and sitting on one of the chairs at the table. You’d love nothing more than to lay on the couch, but you don’t want to ruin the upholstery. “I know, I know,” you seethe. You have no one to blame for this but yourself. And maybe the flashlight—if the stupid thing had a better battery, you would’ve made it back much faster. But instead, you were left to stumble around the campground for twenty minutes.
Dylan rounds the table and stares at you, an uncharacteristic expression of concern on his face. You feel a shiver roll down your spine. “You’re freezing,” he states, looking at your wet clothes. “You’re going to get sick.”
You sigh in exasperation. “I’ll be fine,” you assert. The universe then decides to spite you, as you’re forced to sneeze. Dylan stares at you knowingly. You stare back unflinchingly.
Eventually, he sighs. “You’re not fooling anyone,” he continues, gesturing to your forearms. “You have goosebumps.” You continue to stare at him stubbornly. Sensing that you won’t give in, he sighs. “Fine,” he announces. Rather than retreating to the couch as expected, Dylan leans forward and picks up your Monopoly piece. Dylan taps your Monopoly piece on a space, then another, then another—before finally letting it go. “Oops. Looks like you landed on Park Place… And what do you know? It’s my property. I think you owe me… all of your wet clothes.”
You resist the urge to groan, immediately understanding what he’s trying to do. “I see how it is.” You sigh.
“You need to change,” he maintains with uncharacteristic sincerity.
“Desperate to get me out of my clothes, huh?” You deflect. The effort doesn’t work, and he looks entirely unimpressed. You rack your brain for another excuse. “I don’t have a spare set of clothes—my stuff is in my cabin.”
Dylan holds up a finger, gesturing for you to wait, before leaving the room and heading for his bedroom. When he returns, he’s holding a long-sleeved shirt and sweatpants. He places them on the table and stares at you expectantly.
“Fine, fine,” you acquiesce. Admittedly, now that he mentions it, you realize that you’re freezing —so much so that your teeth are chattering. You push yourself up from the chair and to a standing position clumsily, before fumbling for the button of your jeans and taking them off. Dylan kindly averts his eyes, looking endearingly awkward as he shifts his balance from side to side. You pull the sweatpants on and very nearly sigh in relief. You hadn’t realized how uncomfortable wet denim was until you removed it.
Next is your shirt. You take a deep breath and manifest some confidence, before reaching down to the hem of your shirt. But your hands are shaking and trembling—so much so that you’re struggling to simply pull your shirt off. Your struggle must take longer than expected, because soon Dylan glances at you and frowns.
“Here-” Dylan says, swiftly breaking the distance between you and grabbing the hem for you. Before you can protest, he’s gently pulling it up. And while you recognize that he’s trying to remove your shirt without touching you, his efforts aren’t really working. His fingertips brush against your ribs and your heart starts to race. Dylan mutters an apology and pulls your shirt off of you faster. Shirtless in front of him, you feel yourself instinctively taking a half-step backwards, only to nearly crash into the back of the couch. You stick a hand out to brace yourself and try to regain your composure. Moments later, Dylan is pushing the shirt he grabbed for you into your hands.
While you want nothing more than to tug it over your head rapidly and forget about this whole situation, your body doesn’t want to obey. You’re still shaking ever so slightly—and your uncharacteristic sluggishness is making this task seem nearly impossible. Before you can attempt some strange contortion to get the shirt over your head, Dylan’s helping you. In the blink of an eye, the grey shirt is tugged over you. The fabric is soft and, most importantly, dry.
“Better?” Dylan murmurs, still standing far too close for comfort.
“...Yeah,” you say, your tongue feeling thick in your mouth. “Thanks.”
“No problem,” Dylan answers easily, finally taking a step backwards and giving you some more space. You immediately miss the warmth that was practically emanating off of him. Silence settles in the air, thick and strangely uncomfortable. Everything unspoken lingers between the two of you.
“Well, I guess I should go…” You eventually mutter.
“Are you crazy?” Dylan blinks at you in disbelief. “You’re just going to get drenched again.” Your traitorous mind wants to attribute his insistence to something more than just friendly concern; you’re quick to push those thoughts away, though.
It seems like Dylan is expecting another argument, because his eyes widen in momentary surprise as he realizes you’re remaining silent. Truthfully, you want nothing more than to put up a fight, but you feel as if the energy has been completely drained out of you. And despite the fact that you changed into fresh, dry clothing, you’re still cold.
Dylan notices that you’re still shivering slightly and frowns, before evidently coming to a decision. “Here, come on,” he says, placing a hand on your shoulder and guiding you towards his bedroom. You’re so dazed that you don’t really grasp the implications until you’re standing before his mattress. You immediately glance back at him in confusion, only for him to gently push you towards his bed. You’re too exhausted to overthink everything that’s going on.
Dylan helps you settle in and tugs the comforter over you. Even despite the added layers, you’re still a bit chilly. You burrow into the blankets and try to find a comfortable position, before settling for reclining on your back and staring up at the ceiling. Sleep is dragging your eyelids down and you blink furiously, your eyes dry and stinging. You see Dylan lingering in the doorway, seemingly unsure of what to do. You reach out to him wordlessly and his eyes widen for a brief moment.
“Don’t want me to leave?” He then says, a playful grin on his face. He rounds the side of the bed and gets under the covers. “I guess I am pretty irresistible.” You can’t quite see the expression on his face, but you somehow know that he’s wearing a cheeky smirk.
Once he gets settled, you realize that, somehow, Dylan is just radiating heat. You try to tell yourself that you’re just cold, that you’re seeking him out for warmth and nothing more. But you know that’s a lie. You’ve grown quite fond of Dylan over the course of this summer, after all. You inch closer to him and practically burrow into his side, resting your head on his chest and feeling any of your remaining energy seep out of you.
Despite your exhaustion, your mind is beginning to run wild as you try to justify your actions to yourself. This is just a friendly gesture. Amongst friends. Because you’re nothing more than friends… Right?
Dylan must be a mind reader, because he looks over at you and hums. “Just sleep.” He whispers. Somehow, the remark is enough for your thoughts to calm down—for you to accept that he’s okay with this, that you’re not taking advantage of his kindness. And maybe a sizable part of you is still desperately hoping that even a fraction of your feelings are returned—that maybe, just maybe, he likes you too.
But right now, you’re drifting off into sleep in his arms, and one thing is for sure: you’re warming up already.

protective, but in the sweetest way:
   – jacob is definitely the type to keep an eye on you, not in an overbearing way but more like a silent guardian. he knows you can handle yourself, but he can’t help but worry sometimes, especially after everything that’s happened at hackett’s quarry.
   – he’s always the first to throw his arm around your shoulders or stand a little too close when things start to feel sketchy, but he does it with a casualness that makes it feel comforting, like a constant reminder that he’s got your back.
affectionate goof:
   – jacob shows his love through physical affection, whether it’s ruffling your hair, giving you playful shoulder bumps, or sneaking up behind you to wrap his arms around your waist and spin you around.
   – he loves making you laugh, often telling terrible jokes just to see your smile and when you do laugh, he grins proudly to himself.
endless compliments:
   – jacob’s never shy about telling you how beautiful you are. whether you’re dressed up or just lounging in sweats, he’s always got something sweet to say.
   – “how’d i get so lucky, huh?” he’ll ask with a lopsided smile, pulling you into his lap as he playfully pretends to think about it. “seriously though, you’re gorgeous.”
casual dates:
   – jacob’s idea of the perfect date is something relaxed and fun, like a late night drive, a picnic by the lake or binge watching a dumb reality show together.
   – he loves the idea of little adventures, like spontaneous road trips to nowhere, and insists on pulling over to explore random spots just to make memories with you.
secretly a hopeless romantic:
   – even though he’s a bit of a jock and acts all cool, jacob has a soft side when it comes to you. he loves surprising you with random little things. flowers he picked himself, your favorite snacks, or even handwritten notes he leaves around the house.
   – sometimes, when you’re lying together he’ll get quiet and just stare at you, thinking about how lucky he is. when you catch him, he’ll just blush and pull you closer, mumbling something like, “can’t help it, you’re too cute.”
jealous, but playful:
   – jacob can get a little jealous, but he tries to laugh it off. if someone’s flirting with you, he’ll come up and drape himself over you, saying something like, “hey, babe, didn’t see you talking to this random person here.”
   – you’ll tease him about it, but he knows it’s all in good fun. he trusts you completely, but he also loves any excuse to show everyone that you’re his.
cuddling is a must:
   – no matter where you are. whether it’s the couch, a hammock or even on the grass under the stars. he’ll pull you into his chest, wrapping his arms around you protectively.
   – he loves resting his head on top of yours or tangling his legs with yours, making sure you’re close enough to feel his warmth. it’s one of the ways he feels most connected to you.
late night talks:
   – jacob loves those deep, quiet conversations that happen late at night when you’re both half asleep. you’ll be lying in bed and he’ll start talking about the future or random dreams he’s had.
   – sometimes he gets a little vulnerable in these moments, telling you about his fears, his insecurities, and his hopes and you always reassure him, which means alot to him.
playful banter and competition:
   – jacob loves a bit of friendly competition and he’ll challenge you to silly things like arm wrestling, races.
   – of course, he’ll always let you win (he’ll pretend he wasn’t trying), just to see you smile.
not so secretly sentimental:
    – despite his sometimes goofy exterior, jacob holds onto little mementos from your time together. he keeps a collection of photos, random doodles you’ve made, even concert tickets from dates.
    – one time, you found him staring at a photo of you two and when you asked about it, he just smiled softly and said, “this one’s my favourite.”

Summer Nights (Nick Furcillo)
Preview:  Another tap. And another. You raised a shaky hand to peel the blinds apart, just enough for you to peek out.
Tumblr media
Contains: making out, obvious crushing
word count- 2.3k/unedited
This summer was going to be the best summer of your life. There was no way anything was going to ruin it. You had managed to snag the dream job of anyone your age who was begging for a little bit of freedom from home. A camp counselor.
That’s right. Your summer was gonna be spent chasing sweaty pre-teens, fixing bee stings and splinters, and putting aloe on sunburns. But on top of that you were going to get to hike, and kayak around an island, and spend nights singing campfire songs. All while away from the real world, away from the stress of friends, of family, of school.
Your main stressors were the middle school arguments you had to be the mediator for. Emma was little to no help with it, instead instigating said fights by helping spread rumors for a little bit of ‘entertainment’. You could almost hear her voice, “I can’t wait to tell the boys about this”, while you were busy consoling campers over their week-long relationship.
You threw your tray down on the table, another night of soggy meat and limp veggies. Camp food was never good, almost always big pots of some kind of slop and frozen vegetables. Nutritionally balanced was a goddamn lie. Emma sat down next to you, giggling and smiling at Jacob who took the bench across from her.
“Oh, Jacob,” She laughed, covering her mouth. “You are hilarious!”
You rolled your eyes. Even if they wanted to deny their relationship, say they were friends or hate each other, there was no doubting that something was happening. Of course, you knew, with the amount of times she woke you up to sneak out to the docks with him, there would be no way you didn’t know.
Their conversation turned into background noise as your eyes caught someone walking towards your table. It was like something out of a movie, things moving in slow motion. Tight jeans hugged long, slender legs, a skinny waist hidden by a baggy t-shirt. Puppy dog eyes shining.
Nick smiled and greeted you as he sat down with his food. Dylan, Kaitlyn, and Ryan sat down soon after, all beginning to chat with each other as they choked down the ‘food’. You joined in the conversation, listening to Dylan spit out some pretty good one-liners, and caught the way Ryan looked at him while he did. You listened as they made the plans for a campfire, something fun for the end of the week. The plan was for everyone to meet by the lakeside for the bonfire on the beach and roast marshmallows and make smores with the campers. Maybe someone would bring a guitar or some spooky stories.
Soon dinner came to an end. Nick grabbed your tray before you even had a chance to react. “I’m on cleaning duty this evening.” He smiled. “I’ll still see you at the campfire tonight though, right?”
“Oh!” You smiled back, hoping the flush of your face wasn’t horribly obvious. “Of course, I-I will definitely see you tonight.” You nodded and tucked a strand of hair behind your ear.
Emma had already begun collecting the campers when you made your way to the table. She was helping the campers stack plates and trying to rush them to get to the showers as fast as possible.
You and Emma led the campers back to the cabin to grab shower caddies and made your way to the bathroom. Emma groaned as you guys walked into the bathroom. It reeked of bleach and mildew, and a mild stink of wet dog for some unknown reason. The floor was stained with years of mud and perpetually wet. The lights flickered and some of the shower curtains on the stalls were beginning to turn black on the bottom from all the moisture.
“All right campers! Each of you have… 6 minutes to shower!” Emma announced. “Save the hot water for everyone, please. I cannot take another ice bath tonight.” She rolled her eyes. You both made quick work of turning on the showers and assigning campers to each one to try and minimize the amount of time wasted.
“So, you excited for the bonfire tonight?” Emma questioned as she picked at her nails. “Gonna flirt with your boy toy?” She whispered, nudging you slightly.
“He’s not my boy toy!” You shook your head. Sure, you had a slight crush on Nick. He made your heart flutter, your cheeks get hot, your hands clammy. But it was only a slight crush… Right?
Emma hummed. “That’s right. You won’t make a move.” She laughed. “Can’t be yours if you won’t stake the claim.”
You rolled your eyes. “I’ll do it when I’m good and ready. We don’t even know if he likes me back.” You watched as two of the girls began trading body washes and combing each other's hair in the dirt stained mirrors.
When it was your turn to shower, you found yourself thinking about what Emma had said. Did she know something you didn’t? You let the cold water run over your skin for a little bit longer, washing any leftover soap off. You sighed as you turned the shower off and quickly got dressed, pulling pajamas over your still wet skin.
You trudged back to the cabin with the campers, listening to them chatter about how excited they were for the bonfire and to see ‘Counselor Dylannnnn’. You had a good giggle with Emma about the crushes the campers had on the counselors while everyone cleaned up their bunks and finished getting ready.
After a while, you guys finally left the cabin and began the short hike to the beach. The campers squealed and ran off the second they saw the glow of the fire and joined their friends on the blankets set up on the beach. Jacob and Ryan were throwing more kindling on the fire while Nick was helping a younger camper zip their jacket. Your heart ached at the sight.
“Good with kids.” Emma teased as she pushed by you. “We’re here!” She called out.
Nick looked up at the call and smiled when he spotted you. The kid he was helping ran off as soon as his jacket was zipped. “Y/N!” He waved. “Come sit.”
You made your way over, taking in the smell of the fire before sitting on the log next to Nick. You could hear giggles of the campers just a few feet away on the shore, a few of them dipping their toes in which landed them a scolding from Ryan.
You guys sat in silence for a while, watching as everyone chilled out and played around as the sun went down. You kept your eyes on the fire, the flames warming your face. It was almost perfect. That was, until Dylan and Kaitlyn approached.
“We have S’MORES!” Dylan shouted, holding up some bags. The campers cheered and raced over, trying to grab at the ingredients to make the sweets. “Woah, woah, one at a time, ya little goblins!” He laughed.
“We need a line!” Kaitlyn called out. “And for you guys to be safe, and smart, about the marshmallows and fire!”
You helped the kids place the marshmallows on the ends of (mostly clean) sticks and showed them how to roast the perfect marshmallow. Kaitlyn was trying to avoid burns at all costs, even if that meant physically pulling kids back from the fire. Jacob and Emma had disappeared, no doubt off into the bushes somewhere to make out and baby talk to each other.
Once all the kids had their fill of s’mores, the counselors decided to make a few of their own. You had a weak spot for the gooey goodness of a charred marshmallow and melted chocolate. You ate your treat while Ryan began the scary campfire stories to the kids.
“Hey,” a voice sounded in your ear. You turned your head and came face to face with Nick. “You got a little, uh…” He motioned to his own cheek. You felt your face heat up in embarrassment. Food on your face? What were you? 4? “Let me.”
He lifted a hand to your face, gently rubbing the chocolate off the corner of your mouth with his thumb. “Beautiful.” He smiled before popping the thumb in his mouth and sucking the chocolate off. “And tasty.”
You were praying that only you could hear the pounding in your ears. And that the fire could be to blame on how hot and red your face was. You could hear the teasing from Emma already.
“T-thanks.” You weren’t sure if you should thank him. He had just indirectly licked chocolate off your face. Kaitlyn winked at you from her spot next to Ryan when you looked back over. What was happening?
The rest of the bonfire went by like a blur. Your mind was too focused on Nick to even somewhat focus on the story Ryan was telling. Something about a hag of the campsite? Who even knows.
Now here you are, in your uncomfortable cabin bed, with your hands crossed over your tummy as you stared up at the ceiling. Your mind was racing, thinking about anything and everything. Did Nick like you? Was this some long con joke from everyone? You wanted to scream into your pillow but couldn’t risk waking any of the campers.
A tap on your window nearly made you risk that. You whipped your head to the side and stared at the window, crappy plastic blinds were the only thing keeping whatever the hell that was from seeing you. Another tap. And another. You raised a shaky hand to peel the blinds apart, just enough for you to peek out.
And there he was. Nick. Dressed in a pair of pajamas and with messy bed head, looking as cute as ever. He smiled at you, his flashlight pointed down. He motioned for you to join him. You rolled out of bed and trudged over to Emma, poking her until she acknowledged you.
“Nick, I know.” She groaned. “Go, I got this.” She waved you off.
You nodded even though she couldn’t see you in the almost pitch black darkness of the cabin. You slipped on your shoes and quietly left the cabin, the door creaking shut. You took a deep breath and walked down the steps to meet Nick.
“Hey,” He greeted. “I hope I didn’t wake you.” He rubbed a hand over the back of his neck. “Thinking about it now, maybe coming to ask you to go for a walk with me in the middle of the night wasn’t the best idea.”
You giggled. “It’s okay, I couldn’t fall asleep anyway.” The two of you began walking out of the campsite and onto one of the trails. Conversation flowed naturally, ranging from home life to the possibility of aliens invading the planet.
You two came to a clearing, the open night sky glimmering above you. Thousands of bright stars littered the sky and you sighed at the serenity of it. You and Nick sat on a fallen log, both admiring the sky. Crickets sounded in the grass around you.
“It’s beautiful.” Nick whispered.
You hummed in agreement. A cool breeze tickled your skin and you shivered, goosebumps raising on your arms. You wrapped your arms around yourself, rubbing your hands up and down in an attempt to create some sort of warmth.
“Oh,” Nick noticed. “Here,” He slid his jacket off and helped you into it. The warmth instantly sent butterflies to your stomach. The scent of Nick filled your nose and that alone made your cheeks hot. “Is that better?”
“Yes, thank you.” You curled into the jacket, letting the warmth hug you. You both sat in a comfortable silence for a while before you noticed Nick had gotten closer to you. His thigh brushed yours, causing you to look over.
“Is this okay?”
You smiled and nodded. “Yeah, this is okay.” You scooched a little closer, your legs now pressed together. You had begun to feel a little more brave and decided to rest your head on his shoulder, staring out at the view. You could hear Nick’s heart beat through the crickets, the sound pounding against your ear. “Hey, Nick?” You questioned softly.
“Yeah?” He responded, resting his head on yours for a second.
You stayed silent for a few seconds, enjoying the moment. You wanted to soak this up before you possibly ruined the entire friendship. “How do you feel about me?”
Nick gently shifted, adjusting to sit somewhat facing you. “How do you think I feel about you?”
“I asked first.”
Nick stared at you for a second before lifting a hand and brushing your hair back. His hand came to rest under your chin. “I think that you are one of the most beautiful things here… And in the short time we have known each other I find my heart pounding and hands sweaty whenever you’re around. Is that gross?” He questioned. “Y/N, I feel like I have a middle school crush when I’m around you.”
You smiled and leaned in, catching Nick in a sudden kiss. He tensed up at first and then soon melted into the kiss, hands reaching around to your back to pull you closer to his body. His hands sprawled across your back, fingers digging into the soft fabric of the jacket. He deepened the kiss, tongue poking your bottom lip.
You smiled against his mouth and opened up, allowing him to pull you in. Your hands came to rest on his chest, feeling the muscle under the thin shirt he had on. You kissed each other slowly, exploring each other's mouths and testing the waters with what the other person liked.
After a bit, you both pulled away. Nick’s lips were shiny, pink, and slightly swollen. He looked even more kissable than before. He had an almost drunken smile on his face. He leaned forward again, this time resting your foreheads together.
“After camp, after summer is over, I’d love to take you on a real date. Restaurant, flowers, everything. What do you say?” He whispered.
“I’d be stupid to say no.”

23:50 | June 24th hongjoong & mingi
જ⁀➴ Hongjoong glanced over at Mingi, whose fingers tapped lightly on the steering wheel in rhythm with the music. Mingi's hum was soft, almost like he was trying not to disrupt the quiet atmosphere in the car, and Hongjoong couldn't help but feel a little more at ease because of it. He shifted his gaze out the window, watching as the trees blur. Hongjoong looked down to his phone, the no signal bar causing him to groan in annoyance. Mingi took a glance before he let out a chuckle.
" what's wrong hyung?"
" no signal, and we look lost Mingi. Are you sure we're going the right way?" Hongjoong asked, looking at the blank GPS screen.
" well.. we kinda lost signal a couple of miles back but -"
" so we're lost," Hongjoong huffed.
Mingi laughed, a little too casually, keeping his eyes on the winding road. "Not lost, exactly. Just... taking the scenic route."
Hongjoong gave him a skeptical look, crossing his arms. "The scenic route? Mingi, we’re in the middle of nowhere, and the GPS has no signal."
Mingi scratched the back of his head, grinning sheepishly. "Look, I may have missed a turn. But it’s all part of the adventure, right? No maps, no plans… just us and the open road."
Hongjoong let out a sigh, unable to hold back a small smile. "Only you would call being lost an adventure."
“Come on, hyung, where’s your sense of spontaneity?” Mingi teased, shooting him a playful look.
" yn and everyone else are going to be worried. We promise to keep them updated." Hongjoong grumbled, his eyes going back to the road.
Mingi sighed, " i know, especially since the place is going to be opening for the first time since -"
" since those murders in 2021, yeah i know. Speaking of, why did we agree to do this stupid summer camp?"
Mingi’s playful grin faded as he remembered. "Yeah… guess we didn’t think that part through, huh?"
Hongjoong nodded, his fingers drumming against his knee. "I still don’t know why we agreed. A summer camp at a place with a history like that? They probably think we're crazy."
"Maybe we are," Mingi joked, though there was a flicker of nervousness in his eyes. "But, hey, someone’s gotta do it, right? Plus, it’s supposed to be a fresh start for the place, a chance to move on."
Hongjoong sighed, still uneasy but trying to believe that maybe, just maybe, they were there to bring something positive. "Let’s just hope we aren’t the ones who need rescuing by the end of this.”
Mingi let out a soft hum, Hongjoong tapping his fingers to the music before something caught his eyes.
A flicker of movement just beyond the trees drew Hongjoong’s attention. He leaned forward, squinting as he tried to make out what he saw—a figure? Something that seemed out of place against the dense green backdrop.
“Mingi,” Hongjoong said, his voice low, his fingers pausing mid-tap. “Did you see that?”
Mingi glanced over, following Hongjoong’s gaze toward the trees. “See what?”
Hongjoong shook his head, still staring as the figure seemed to vanish into the shadows. “I don’t know… I thought I saw someone, just standing there. Watching us.”
Mingi chuckled nervously, trying to brush off the chill that crept into the car. “Probably just some animal, hyung. Or your imagination. It’s the middle of nowhere, remember?”
“Maybe,” Hongjoong muttered, though he couldn’t shake the image from his mind. He forced himself to look away, but the uneasy feeling lingered as they drove deeper into the forest.
Just as Hongjoong looked away, the two males let out a gasp as Mingi tried to swerve away from something that was hunched over on the road. Hongjoong
Hongjoong’s heart raced as he gripped the seat, eyes wide as Mingi jerked the wheel. The car swerved sharply, tires screeching as Mingi struggled to regain control. They both caught a glimpse of a hunched figure, shrouded in shadow, barely illuminated by the headlights before it disappeared from sight.
"Mingi, what was that?" Hongjoong’s voice trembled, his gaze fixed on the dark road ahead.
"I don’t know!" Mingi's knuckles were white against the wheel, his breathing uneven. "It looked… human, but it was— I couldn’t see its face. It just… appeared."
They sat in silence, hearts pounding, as the car rolled to a stop on the side of the road. Both of them were afraid to look back, the air thick with dread.
Hongjoong swallowed, trying to steady his voice. "Should we… check it out? Make sure we didn’t hit it?"
Mingi shook his head quickly, his voice barely a whisper. "Hyung… maybe we just keep going."
" what if it was a person? " Hongjoong asked, already taking his seatbelt off.
Mingi shook his head, " it looked like an animal. Come on, we're nearly there to the camp."
Hongjoong hesitated, his hand frozen on the seatbelt buckle as he looked out into the darkness. "I don’t know, Mingi… if it was a person, we can’t just leave them here."
Mingi swallowed, glancing back at the road nervously. "Hyung, I know how it looked, but… there’s no way that was human. The way it moved, hunched over like that—it wasn’t normal."
Hongjoong’s gaze shifted between Mingi and the empty road, uncertainty flickering in his eyes. But something deep down told him that stopping wasn’t a good idea. They were close to the camp, and the thought of being stranded out here with something lurking unsettled him more than he wanted to admit.
“Alright,” he finally conceded, slowly putting his seatbelt back on. “But if we hear anything or see it again, we’re checking.”
“Deal,” Mingi agreed, relief washing over him as he started the car. They drove forward, the unsettling encounter leaving a lingering tension in the air as the camp finally came into view through the trees.
00:26 June 25th Hongjoong & Mingi
જ⁀➴ Mingi and Hongjoong were banging on the door, goosebumps covering their body as they sighed in defeat. Mingi crossed his arms, annoyance plater on his face as he turned to Hongjoong.
" did you even talk to the new owner?" Mingi whined, nearly stomping his feet but stopped himself when Hongjoong glared at him.
" the owner didn't pick up, i left him a voicemail.." Hongjoong mumbled, looking away from his young lover.
“A voicemail?” Mingi repeated, exasperated. “You mean to tell me we drove all this way, past… whatever that thing was on the road… for a voicemail?”
“Yeah, because that was such a good call.” Mingi gestured toward the locked door. “Now we’re locked out here, freezing our butts off."
Hongjoong huffed, crossing his arms as he looked up at the old, dark building in front of them. The camp looked even more eerie than he’d expected—weathered wood, windows dark and lifeless, as though it hadn’t been touched in years.
“ you would think with new management they’ll keep the building tidy,” Mingi mumbled.
“ look, why don’t you go and wait in the car for me hm? i’ll take a look around before we look for a hotel nearby,” Hongjoong said, not looking at him.
Mingi nodded. “Alright, but don’t take too long. This place is giving me the creeps,” he muttered, casting a wary glance around.
“I won’t be long, I promise.”
He watched as Mingi shuffled back to the car before he turned to face the old building again, squaring his shoulders and approaching the front door. He knocked once more, the echo fading into the emptiness around him.
After a few moments of silence, Hongjoong sighed, muttering under his breath. “I swear, Yn, you’re in so much trouble when I see you tomorrow.”
He took a few cautious steps around the side of the building, his eyes scanning the windows and doors for any sign of life. The wind picked up, sending a shiver down his spine as he heard leaves rustling nearby. It was quiet, but every now and then, he felt a pair of unseen eyes on him, making his skin crawl.
Back at the car, Mingi waited, glancing at his phone, though it still showed no signal. He looked up as Hongjoong returned to his side, an uneasy expression on his face.
“Any luck?” Mingi asked, a hint of hope in his voice.
Hongjoong shook his head. “No sign of anyone. And still no signal?”
Mingi shook his head, disappointed. “Nothing. You think we’ll have to find a hotel?”
Hongjoong nodded, but just as he was about to speak, a faint, eerie crunch echoed from the nearby trees, causing both of them to freeze. Hongjoong’s hand instinctively moved to Mingi’s shoulder.
“Stay close,” he whispered, his own voice barely steady. Whatever was out there, they both knew it was no simple animal.
Hongjoong’s eyes darted to the source of the sound, heart pounding as he scanned the dark treeline. The crunching grew louder, deliberate, like someone—or something—was circling them.
Mingi looked at Hongjoong in fear, "hyung… maybe it’s just an animal,” he whispered, though his voice betrayed his unease.
But Hongjoong shook his head, eyes narrowing as he listened. "That’s not just an animal, Mingi. It sounds… heavier.”
They stood side by side, barely daring to breathe as the footsteps grew closer, each crunch of leaves sending a wave of dread through them. The sound was heavy, calculated, like something stalking its prey.
Hongjoong clenched his jaw, holding Mingi a little closer. “Stay behind me,” he murmured, his gaze never leaving the shadowed trees. He could feel Mingi’s hand trembling on his arm, but he kept his own grip steady, bracing himself for whatever might emerge.
“Hyung…” Mingi’s voice was a shaky whisper, his wide eyes darting around, searching for a way out.
With the wind howling, the leaves shuffling and the full moon shining brightly down below them seemed such a scene out of a horror movie. The taller male clinging onto the shorter male as he held his phone, the light shinning as much as it could.
“ hyung, let’s just go back into the car and -“
The sudden animalistic growl cut Mingi off, Hongjoong shifting his light towards the sound. Mingi’s grip tightened on Hongjoong, making him hiss out in pain.
Hongjoong winced, trying to shake off the discomfort as he adjusted the light, its narrow beam barely cutting through the darkness around them. Mingi reluctantly loosened his grip but stayed close, his wide eyes fixed on the shadowed trees as another low growl echoed from deeper within the forest.
“Let’s… let’s just go back,” Mingi pleaded, his voice trembling. “We don’t need to know what that is, hyung. We really don’t.”
Hongjoong hesitated, glancing between the safety of the car and the darkened path in front of them. The logical part of him agreed with Mingi—every instinct screamed at him to turn back and drive far away. But another part of him felt rooted, as if something in the shadows was pulling him closer, demanding his attention.
Just as he was about to speak, the growl grew louder, more ferocious, reverberating through the trees. This time, it was accompanied by the sound of branches snapping and leaves crunching, as if something large and powerful was moving toward them.
Hongjoong’s heart raced, and he gave Mingi a firm push toward the car. “Get in and lock the doors.”
“Hyung, I’m not leaving you here alone!” Mingi protested, panic flaring in his eyes.
Hongjoong shrugged the younger male off as he turned to him. A look so serious, Mingi knew that he is to take everything he says serious.
“ run to the car and don’t turn back. Go!” Hongjoong yelled, shoving Mingi away just as something tackled Hongjoong to the ground.
Mingi stumbled backward, his eyes wide with fear and hesitation as he watched Hongjoong struggle beneath the weight of the creature. It had lunged from the shadows so fast, like a blur of dark, twisted limbs, pinning Hongjoong to the ground before he could even react.
“Go!” Hongjoong shouted again, his voice strained as he fought to push the creature back.
But Mingi couldn’t move, rooted to the spot in terror. Every part of him wanted to run, to obey, but seeing Hongjoong on the ground, fighting for his life, kept him frozen.
“Damn it, Mingi, run!” Hongjoong’s voice cut through the haze, snapping him back to reality.
With a strangled gasp, Mingi finally turned, sprinting toward the car with his heart pounding wildly in his chest. His footsteps were loud against the ground, but the only thing he could hear was the sound of Hongjoong’s struggling breaths and the creature’s low, guttural growls. Tears pricked at Mingi’s eyes, guilt and fear clawing at him as he fumbled with the car door, throwing himself into the driver’s seat.
He glanced back, just in time to see Hongjoong shove the creature off, his face twisted in pain but his determination unwavering. But before Mingi could even think of helping, the creature lunged again, claws flashing in the dim light.
Desperation took over as Mingi turned the key in the ignition, praying the car would start. The engine sputtered, and he cursed, trying again. “Come on, come on…”
Mingi’s hands shook violently as he jammed the key into the ignition again, his heart racing faster with each failed attempt. Hongjoong’s cries echoed in his mind, fueling his desperation, and he felt the weight of panic press down on him like never before.
“Please, please, just start!” he muttered, voice thick with fear, gripping the wheel as if sheer force would make the engine turn over.
The engine gave one last sputter before roaring to life, the sudden sound almost a relief too great to bear. As Mingi’s hands gripped the steering wheel, a cold, vice-like grip suddenly yanked him from his seat, tearing him out of the car with terrifying strength. He barely had time to scream as he was dragged backward, his nails scratching against the ground in desperation. His terrified cries pierced the night, echoing through the dense forest, scattering the last few birds that had been resting in the trees.
“H-Hongjoong!”

The sun blazed down on the interstate highway as your boyfriend drove with his typical backwards baseball cap, one hand on the wheel and the other holding onto your inner thigh. You raised a hand up to block out the sun from your squinting eyes as you watched the occasional car pass along with the buildings, never too dull when you’re in New York.
“How long until we get to this lodge or whatever” Jacob groaned as his eyes stared straight down the road making sure not to be too careless especially on a highway. “We still have another hour but in 30 minutes we should start seeing forests, there’s already less buildings than when we left so just hold out for a bit longer.” You softly said trying to reassure your boyfriend who was becoming increasingly more and more impatient as the time went by. It’s already been 30 minutes since you left your shared apartment with all your packed clothes and essentials to stay at these cabins for the summer, Jacob was really interested in participating especially since he would also get to meet up with a friend from high school. Kaitlyn.
“The sun is really killing my vibe right now, it’s way too hot for such a long drive…an hour long drive might I add.” Jacob pouted as you rested a hand in his hand that held your thigh. His hand rotated as he felt yours touch his in order to hold hands correctly. “Don’t whine, we’ll be there soon, then you can rest all you want.”
You couldn’t help but admire the way that he had this glare to him, a calm one but the way his eyes look off into the road, his vascular hand gripping the wheel as what little sun that gets past illuminates his stunning eyes. “I am not whining” Jacob retaliated, his brows visibly creased ever so slightly, even when he’s just a bit annoyed he can be a sight for sore eyes, truly.
Jacobs fingers wiggled out of your grasp as he playfully put his fingers in the rips of your pants which caught you off guard, “someone’s handsy aren’t they?” You questioned your boyfriend as a devilish smirk lit up his face “well. Since I have to wait a stupid hour before I get to have you all to myself, I think my hand in your pants isn’t too bad.” Jacob had a point, he was pent up and couldn’t indulge in any intimate act until you guys got to these cabins.
“I mean…you could…y’know. Pull over” You said with a shrug and a grin, Jacob looked back at you as you felt the car turn towards the shoulder of the road which slowly led to a full stop. You didn’t actually expect him to pull over but if Jacob was in your shoes, you know you would’ve pulled over immediately to have him in the moment. “You deadass wanna go at it? I mean i’m down for a bit of exhibitionism on the highway if you are.” You said as you felt a tightness around your groin as your hard on made sitting slightly uncomfortable.
“Don’t play with me right now, you said we could pull over and i’m pulled over. Be a waste if we didn’t use this time we have to ourselves.” You grabbed Jacobs phone which was on the console as the current song paused only for a more mood fitting one to play. The low yet strong bass all throughout the speakers of his truck set the mood as you unbuckled your seatbelt to get closer to your boyfriend.
“Climb into my lap” he said as you maneuvered the best you could onto his lap as he began to run his hands along the sides of your body, keeping you close while feeling you up. Your tongue glided across his neck as you left kisses everywhere and an occasional hickey down more toward his shoulders just so it wasn’t too exposed. “Oh…your tongue feels so good” Jacob said, his lips creasing as he began to grind his bulge into you, sometimes going faster when you kiss or lick a sensitive area of his neck. His hands on your sides eventually took your shirt off, the A/C washing over cold air which contrasted with the summer sun.
You pulled Jacobs tank top off as well though at this point, you were already aching to get out of your pants. You went for Jacobs belt as he started to unzip your bottoms as well, his bulge already rubbing against the side of your palm as you pull his pants down made the precum on your tip only come out more. His hands grabbed your now mildly exposed ass from the pants and made sure to hold on tight, your moaning only made him grip harder while you were grinding your dick on top of his. “Aw shit…oh fuck, wait…wait, get on my dick or else i’m gonna bust in these fucking boxers…” Jacob panted as you hoisted yourself up with your knees to let Jacob take his pants and underwear all the way off, leaving his dick now shown off.
You brought your pants and boxers down to your knees as you aligned yourself above Jacobs cock, the head was slapping against your ass as it was something Jacob always loves to do. “Fuck your ass is so hot” he said now teasing your hole considering you moved down a bit, he was even grinding against it, you wanted him in badly and you couldn’t help but slightly whine a bit when he was doing all this teasing. “Fuck babe just…mngh- put it in already.” You whined out as you looked into your boyfriends eyes, he was already hot as hell with his normal looks but when he’s stripped down, eye contact going strong, you could’ve busted right then and there.
Jacob eventually maneuvered the head directly in front of your hole and finally let himself begin to enter you, the noise you made had Jacob going in more and more, which meant more moans on your end. He was practically gone at this point, all he wanted to do was keep those pretty noises coming from that mouth of yours. “God you take my dick so fucking good babe.” Jacob let his hips move as you felt him moving inside of you, hitting every spot just right.
You went back to using your knees as support just a bit which Jacob took full advantage of as he grabbed your ass and started thrusting what seemed to be faster and faster. “Fucking…hell- Jake i’m…i’m close.” You struggled getting the words out with just how fast you were being drilled at the moment, but all the pleasure was welcome especially since Jacob was just so vocal with both words and just sounds. Each second he was filled with a loud moan and the occasional curse word.
“Aw f-fuck! as shit i’m- i’m really close babe.” Jacob whined out as he basically had his nails dug into the sides of your ass as he somehow went just a bit faster to bring him over the edge. Jacobs hips began to slow down as the sloppy and wet sounds from him finishing inside you slowly quieted down, you were basically right there with him as you finished yourself off with your trusty hand as you shot cum all over his chest and stomach, heavily panting in the process. “Holy shit…you really wanted that bang sesh didn’t you?” you breathily spoke, trying to let the endorphins fade away. “I haven’t nutted in like…3 days so i’m kinda pent up you know?” Jacob doubled down as you let him stay inside for just a bit longer.
Your head eventually rested on the front of his shoulder, your breathing much more steady as Jacob lightly ran his hands across your back along with your hands resting on Jacobs thighs underneath you.
“You’re so lucky you got tint on these windows” You giggled a bit as you looked out the window to see cars going back and forth, after all, without the tint, every car coming your direction would’ve been able to see through the windshield…though the thought of being watched while being fucked is something to think on.
“Why? Afraid someone would peek?” Jacob teased
“You’d probably let someone watch us fuck wouldn’t you?” you replied
“If I know them sure” Jacob shrugged
“You’re a freak” you playfully scoffed
“I’m your freak” he softly said giving you one more kiss before it eventually came time to clean each other up…somehow.

Dylan Lenivy x Male Reader
Request from wattpad because im surprisingly still on there
*********
“Good morning, Hackettiers!" Dylan's voice boomed over the PA system as children and counselors alike dressed themselves, "Today's weather forecast includes mosquitoes, butterflies, and bees, and maybe a squirrel if you're unlucky." Dylan was one of those people who you can almost hear the smile in his voice as he read off the announcements, a nice sound that can make anyone smile as they listen.
As the children settled in their chairs in the mess hall for breakfast, (Y/N) made his way towards the radio shack with a lame excuse towards the others, "I'm going to go get Dylan. Because, uh, yeah." Smoothest guy in the west, (Y/N) is. Surely no one knows that he's just going to the shack just to hang out with Dylan, there was definitely truth in his excuse.
——————
The walk to the shack was nice, the sun was annoyingly hot, but the breeze, birds chirping, and smell of pine made up for the short uncomfortable-ness of summer weather. Grass crinkled and dirt flattened under (Y/N)'s feet, a few loose stones being kicked away as he walked towards the bridge separating the cabins from the rest of the camp. The wood creaked as he crossed it, echoing in his ears from the otherwise quiet surroundings. 'Please don't break on me.'
Walking across the area, passing the tree with "EMMA + JACOB 4EVER" newly carved into it, passed the tire swing, and finally to the radio shack's steps.
(Y/N) jumped up the stairs, "Knock-knock, please don't be naked!" He yelled, opening the shack's door to see Dylan playing with a portable radio.
"You don't want to see me naked? How could you," Dylan put a hand to his forehead, dramatically slumping in his chair, feigning hurt and acting like a woman from the '50s. It was almost believable, if he didn't drop the tiny radio, "Fuck!" He scrambled, fumbling all his limbs to catch it before it could hit the ground. He did it, somehow.
(Y/N) cackled at the display, finally closing the shack's door and praying no kids were around too hear Dylan's profanity, "Meh, if there weren't kids around I wouldn't mind," He teased, coming up behind Dylan's sitting figure and wrapping his arms around his neck. Dylan set the radio down, leaning back into (Y/N).
Dylan sighed, "I missed you," A content smile on his face as he bathed in (Y/N)'s warm-ness.
"It hasn't even been an hour since we saw each other," (Y/N) laughed, ruffling Dylan's hair as he spun the chair around.
"One hour too long," He mumbled, hugging (Y/N)'s midsection. (Y/N) played with Dylan's hair, softly massaging his scalp, feeling Dylan melt underneath him, putting more of his body weight against (Y/N). He bent down to place a kiss on Dylan's head, holding the sides of his face and squishing Dylan's cheeks together. "What are you doing?" Dylan slurred, keeping his hands on (Y/N)'s hips as he leaned away from him.
"Man, you are so adorable, you know?" He blurted, staring into Dylan's eyes. Dylan's face turned red, the heat of rushing blood putting the summer heat to shame.
"Um, y-yeah, you too," He stuttered. (Y/N) trailed kisses down his forehead to his cheek, holding the chair's arms to steady himself on top of Dylan, who was smiling that dorky smile of his as (Y/N) placed quick pecks to every inch of Dylan's face as he could.
"My," He kissed Dylan's left cheek, "Handsome," He kissed Dylan's right cheek, "Adorable," He kissed Dylan's forehead one last time, "Dork." (Y/N) landed on Dylan's lips, who was awkwardly craning his head upwards, breaking away as both couldn't stop smiling. Dylan's face hurt from smiling so much, body full of warmth and face full of blood. (Y/N) felt warm himself, unable to stop looking at the man made from the gods themselves in front of him.
They leaned in again, sliding the chair until it hit the desk, stabilizing it so Dylan wouldn't move. It was a short kiss, no movement between the two as they basked in each other's company. Until the door swung open and Jacob came sauntering in, "Knock-knock- oh, man!"
(Y/N) jumped away from the chair, both pairs of eyes wide as (Y/N) glared at Jacob for ruining the moment. "Dude, what the hell?" (Y/N) stuffed his hands into his pockets, mood soured from the uninvited guest.
Jacob grinned, "Oh-hoo!" He finger gunned at the two, making the already awkward moment more awkward. Dylan's face was still beet-red, swiveling the chair as he faked calm-ness, internally yelling at Jacob for cock-blocking them. "So, you two, eh?" He made gestures.
Dylan groaned, "Jacob, what are you doing?"
Jacob suddenly became serious, deepening his voice as he saluted, for some unknown reason, "My deepest apologies, sirs, but it seems your presence is needed at breakfast."
"Get out."
"Okay, okay. I'll see you at the tables," He held his hands up, "Just uh, remember to wear protection, yeah?"
"Jacob!"
Some say the smile on Jacob's face was bigger than his asscrack, some will deny Jacob saw anything. No one knows what Jacob actually saw, because no one listens to what he says.

"A werewolf? Great! What's next? Dracula?" It was the last day of summer camp. They were suppose to be on the road already but their car didn't start. Instead of eating junk food and belting songs, they were stuck here. At best until tomorrow morning.
And now, apparently a wolf or werewolf attacked Nick and Abby. Max didn't doubt Abby or Nick's words but a werewolf is something harder to believe in. An escaped science experiment would have been more believable.
No matter how believable it is or not. One thing was for certain, something was out there to get them. Dylan and Ryan try to get help via the radio shack as the others stay back in the lodge, including Max and you. But while there you hear something on the roof.
Sounding way too heavy to be a bird. Then Abby and Nick's statement proves to be right as a werewolf crashes through the roof. It starts chasing each of you, trying to see which one will catch it first. Right as you think you managed to find a good place to hide.
It charges at your hiding place. It's claws sinking into your shoulder. Max rips the gun out of Kaitlyn's arms and aims it for the creature. Shoot it in the arm then stomach. It turns its attention away from you and to Max as shots it in the head. It backs off running into the woods.
"How did you know how to do that?" Max hands the gun back to Kaitlyn and rushes over to you. "It's a gun. It's not that difficult," he assesses the wound. It's deep and without some treatment you could bleed out. He refuses to show any panic. Knowing it'll only make the situation worse.
Max knows there's some medical stuff in the lodge 'just in case something happens'. This is something. He tells Kaitlyn to keep you awake as he goes to find the supplies. He's not a medical student or anything but he will try his best.
"Don't let her die," is all Max could think about and when he gets back he makes quick work of the wound with the help of Kaitlyn. He has you bite on a cloth as they sow up the wound and wrap a lot of gauze around it. It's not perfect but it's the best they could do.
By the time they are done. Ryan and Dylan are back. They bombard them with questions on what happened. You look pale and Max, the worried boyfriend that he is, keeps sending you concerned looks. The first time you try to take a step, you almost faceplant.
But you need to leave the lodge as there is now a hole in the roof. The group decided to go to the pool house and hunker down there. Max helps you walk all the way there. Once you arrive, Nick starts acting really weird. Max and you separate from the group.
He lets you rest but does everything so you don't close your eyes. He goes back to check on the others. The next thing you hear is a lot of yelling and the sound of a gunshot. Max comes rushing back. He's in a state of shock. That much is obvious.
Quickly picks you up bridal style and runs out of the pool house. On your way out you notice the room was drenched in blood. You're left in the dark as to what happened. What you do notice is Laura, one of Max's friends and a counsellor that went missing, showed up.
She explains where she'd been this whole time. The group makes the ultimate decision to split up again. Laura and Ryan go to the Heckett's house, Emma and Abby to the basement of the lodge and Dylan, Kaitlyn, Max and you try to find a spare part to fix the car.
Even Laura suggested that Max go with her but he declined. Refusing to leave your side. Cute, considering you'll turn into one of those creatures before the night is over. At the junkyard, Dylan and Kaitlyn are working on the crane.
Dylan starts rapidly honking the horn. "There's something coming!" Max and you find a hiding place hoping that the creature doesn't find you. That hope is squashed as it's now only a few feet away from you. You feel anger bubbling up in you.
You've been through shit this whole night. Two of your friends could be dead and Max's missing ex girlfriend is now back. Is he going to dump you and get back together with her? Were you just a summer fling to him? You feel as if your insides are being ripped out.
Were you dying? Max jumps from the hiding place and shoots the creature. He aims to take another shot but the gun's empty. It runs to your hiding place. You feel as if something is trying to burst out of your chest. Excruciating pain as your bones break than a burst of blood.
You can't control your movements anymore. Attack the werewolf charging at you, killing it. Max can't believe what he's seeing. He knew it was a matter of time before you turned but this is terrifying. If he is to die by your hand so be it but to his surprise you run away.
Leaving the junkyard to go to God knows where. He goes to find Kaitlyn and Dylan, tells them what had happened. All three of them go back to the lodge with the part in hand to meet up with the other counsellors. Laura and Ryan return with Travis Hackett.
"It's over. We killed Silas," the first thought in Max's head is 'Who?' and the second how the hell is he going to find you. Laura offers to go with him and this time he obliges. If there's a possibility they find your dead body, he needs someone he trust there when he breaks down.
Instead of finding a dead body, they find you walking. Probably trying to find a way back to the lodge. Max is overwhelmed with relife and envelopes you in a bone crushing hug. "You're okay. Thank God! You're okay." He peppers your face with kisses.
"Never do that again," he rests his head on your shoulder. "What do you mean? I turn into a werewolf on a regular basis," he laughs but soon tears start falling from his eyes. Laura interrupts the moment.
"We should get back. I don't wanna spend another second in this forest," she starts walking. "Laura's back. So, when's your date planned?" Max's back straightens and his eyes look as if they'll fall out of his sockets. "What?"
"With Laura. I would assume you guys will pick up where you left off." He aggressively shakes his head. "No! I mean we didn't break up but the night before she left we realised we're just not working. To me you're like a breath of fresh air. Okay that's a cheesy metaphor but I love you and nothing will change that."

Thanks for reading!
