The full report (which I’m too lazy to organize into a proper review), as requested by @screenqueen71:

As you may be able to tell from the pics, I had a fucking great seat (4th row, about ten seats left of dead center)

Great show; visually engaging, great energy, great performance. Monáe is a hell of an entertainer, in addition to being a brilliant artist. Her band killed it, especially her bass player, who is fucking amazing.

I almost feel bad picking highlights because the whole show was so good, but: “Screwed,” “Electric lady,” “Don’t Judge Me,” “Cold War,” and “So Afraid” (which made me cry, because it always does)

I’d been checking setlists from this tour, so I knew going in what songs she’d play. That did not, however, stop me from clinging to the thin hope that she might drop “Yoga” and maybe “Tightrope” in favor of “Wondaland” and “Sally Ride” or “Dance Apocalyptic” at the last minute. Still, what she played was too good for me to gripe about what she didn’t. And if I really wanted to hear her old stuff live, then I guess I should’ve been following her back when that stuff was new.

My one little complaint is that I wish her vocals had been just a bit louder; there were a few places where it got sort of lost in the mix.

Many think Tessa sent the message because she had used the same phrasing regarding the Time’s Up movement in an interview (specifically the word endured), and worked closely with the Time’s Up movement that year.

Also from other receipts, we know they call each other baby/babe a lot.

So I was in the London crowd tonight and had a pretty good view of both Tessa and Janelle. What a night! Really didn’t expect this. Tessa seemed to stand on top of a step or something so she was pretty visible. Nate was maybe 4 meters away from her by the mixing booth. A couple of things I noticed:

Tessa did not look at the screen when the audience cheered for her video clip appearance during PYNK. She kept looking away during moments like this throughout the evening. A couple of people took selfies with her so she must have been aware of people watching. She laughed a lot during I Got the Juice, particularly when Janelle told the crowd: ‘If I point at you - you will come on stage and you will dance!’ …

Tessa seemed to giggle and repeated Janelle’s pointing motion followed by a simulated lasso into Janelle’s direction. She was on the phone throughout the rhythm dance intro in the beginning of Make me Feel… We all know what happened next - she must have gone live soon after

So...I’m back

A month ago was my birthday. I’m 19 now and I’m trying to figure out who it is I am in this moment. In this life. Pretentious I know but it’s true. I thought about my previous birthdays and how different my mindset was with each one. When I was little I used to get so excited about my birthday but now when it happens it feels more like a chore. There are many people out there that would probably tell me “that’s just how adulthood is” and they’re not wrong. A lot of adulthood is spent realizing that the world wasn’t as awesome as you thought it was. Maybe your favorite restaurant is run by an immoral CEO who exploits all the people who work for them, maybe there’s a movie you can’t watch anymore because one of the actors in it is a horrible human being, maybe the stress of money and responsibility sometimes stops you from fully enjoying yourself, maybe the people you’ve looked up to all your life let you down, whatever it is could be considered a part of growing up (though most certainly not only a part of such). It can make you think that maybe that’s all there is in life, more bad news, more disappointment, and more losing the things and people you loved.

And you know what? It isn’t.

I’m not exactly breaking new ground here, hell I know for fact I must sound like one of those posters you’d find in a counselor’s office but goddammit sometimes it needs to be said! It does! Consider this, how many positive things do you see on the internet? I mean really? How many times have you read something on Tumblr or elsewhere that made you feel like you’re going to be okay? This isn’t to say one should be ignorant about the world; I’m appreciative of all the things I’ve figured out on the internet, however negative, because it helps me get a better understanding of the world and the people around me. But when your life is constantly being bogged down by difficult stuff to stomach, what’s going to make you want to keep going?

So, why am I saying all of this thinkpiece shit? Because you, dearest reader, are going to see some positivity today. The universe is merciless and cruel but that doesn’t stop it from giving us wonderful things to experience and I want to take this time to remind myself and others that.

I’m not saying any of what I show you will make you happy, I’m not saying that you even have to be happy right now, I’m just saying that these are some things I consider good that I want to share with you. Because I love you and I want you to have good things. You deserve good things. Never forget that.

Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert celebrated their daughter’s upcoming arrival at their baby shower alongside LaLa Anthony, Lori Harvey, couple Karrueche & Victor Cruz, Rasheeda and more. Teyana Taylor and her husband Iman Shumpert are gearing up to become parents again as they patiently await the arrival of their second child, another daughter who will be named Rue Rose.

The couple made the baby announcement in Teyana's "Wake Up Love" video that she released in June. For this birth, Teyana is considering a home birth that she'll do with help from soulful songstress Erkyah Badu, who is a certified doula.

When Junie was born, Tey & Iman didn't have much a choice. The singer gave birth to her first child in the bathroom of her home with the help of her husband (who was on the phone with 9-1-1) in 2015.

The Shumperts hosted a bohemian style baby shower outside for social distancing purposes, wearing red in honor of their daughter. However, there wasn’t much social distancing going on during the shower. Guests were given masks to wear during the party, but most people opted not to wear them.

Several friends of the Shumperts were in attendance, including LaLa Anthony, Lori Harvey, couple Karrueche & Victor Cruz, Monyetta Shaw, and Rasheeda. Peep their pics below:
