for cc : favorite soft boys from kdramas? leads or supporting or both haha.
I had to think about this for a bit, hence why I didn't answer last night when I was part zombie, lol.
Here are my top 12 recommendations:
Angel's Last Mission: Kim Dan <3 I watched this last last year and I'm still in love with Myungsoo's character so much!! He was the first character to come to my mind when I read this post. I couldn't recommend watching this drama enough. It's amazing, I'm still in withdrawals from it. And it's even inspired my own angel au (though, mine will be quite different)
Flower Boy Next Door: I've watched this drama so many times! Basically anything Yoon Shi Yoon touches is gold, but the supportive ways of his character Enrique is totally swoon-worthy and will make you melt for him.
Because This Is My First Life: Namsee is a formidable male lead here. Lee Minki did an excellent job in creating a really believeable character who's introverted, yet will go the mile to make sure the woman he loves is okay.
Still 17: I think Yang Sejong's character Gong Woojin is amazing. Sure he's suffered a great deal and has a very closed-off persona throughout, but he's so caring for all those around him, and he looks out for everyone in his own quiet ways. 100% fell in love with him and wanted my own Woojin in my life, haha.
Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo: Nam Joohyuk in this was the cutest puppy like boyfriend ever. How could you not fall for Joonhyung?! Ugh. I still smile every time I think of him in this.
Run On: Siwan's character is adorably naïve yet a wonderful and refreshing main. I love how he develops throughout, yet doesn't lose that kindness for the people around him and supports them endlessly. Bless him so much.
Where Stars Land: This is one of my absolute favourite dramas, and whilst Jehoon's character gets REALLY angsty and admittedly, is still very juvenile from his past experiences... he genuinely cares for people, even if people have really messed up his world. Ugh, I love him and I want to rewatch it for the 43895784239th time lol.
Extraordinary You: Am I a Baek Kyung fan over Haru? YES. Did I think Baek Kyung was jipped despite having the BEST character growth in this world? YES. Still will I put Haru on this list for being the softest sweetheart known to comic book character creations? YES.
Just Between Lovers: this is my favourite Junho drama for a reason. If you put aside the angst, and the trauma (considering they're main themes of this story, it's a little hard to) you can see a guy who's really out here doing his best for the people he cares about. Seriously, this drama makes me so emotional.
Hotel Del Luna: some might say Chansung wasn't soft all the time, but he's steadfast, and really calms down Manwol a great deal, so I love him. Also, major props for Lee Dohyun's character in this - I loved him even more.
When the Camellia Blooms: I admit, I didn't finish this drama. I just... yeah we won't get into my problems with it here... but I'm sure Haneul's character and the word "soft" go together.
Mystic Pop-Up Bar: Sungjae's character is a blessing. In fact, the trio leading this show, together are a blessing. I cried and laughed so much. But looking at Kang Bae as a character... he's so soft and adorable and wants good things for everyone *sighs happily*
I bet there's more I could think of... but after sitting here staring at my kdrama list, I think I better stop here... hahhaha.

mtl favorite dramas and your favorite or most memorable character??
Well I’ve watched hundreds of k-dramas over the years so this is a hard one!
Let me list the ones I didn’t enjoy first:
The first drama that comes to mind that I really didn’t enjoy is Doctors. There was no chemistry between the main protagonists and I only watched to the end for Yoon Kyun Sang’s character - who got completely jipped by the progression of the show!
Another one is One Spring Night... I kept hoping it would improve, only for it to be mediocre each episode. I love Jung Hae In endlessly, but he chooses some really awful shows to star in (I never finished Something in the Rain because the main female protagonist’s character annoyed me too much.)
Love Alarm was also pointless. It had an AMAZING concept but spent more time trying to mess around with who she loved between the two friends. There was so much to explore and even though it has another season, I’m unsure if I’ll bother to watch it.
The Liar and His Lover had zero chemistry between the main characters. Joy really felt awkward whenever she had to have a romantic scene with Lee Hyunwoo.. .which is a shame because i really liked him in Moorim School.
Unlike most people, I found Abyss average. It had good moments but it really dragged out for me - please note, I don’t enjoy crime/thrilleresque/legal dramas a whole lot. I dunno, I liked the concept, but it just dragged.
The K2 was too politically based for me. I wished to like it but it really got ridiculous and I skipped scenes just to get to the end... which wasn’t satisying at all.
My Lovely Girl with Rain and Krystal was really hard for me to understand their romance. I prefered the connection between Krystal and Myungsoo/L more.
The Girl Who Sees Scents got very repetitive and boring for me!
Okay onto dramas I have loved: (I’m just going to quickly list twelve in no particular order since I took forever with the least list)
Where Stars Land
Hotel Del Luna
Flower Boy Next Door
Crash Landing On You
Chicago Typewriter
I’m Not A Robot
Because This is My First Life
Mystic Popup Bar
Suspicious Partner (lol I said I don’t enjoy crime/legal/thriller ish but here were are, I’ve seen it too many times)
Man x Man
Introverted Boss
Fated To Love You
There are SO MANY MORE but I had to restrain myself lol.
Most memorable character? From this year, Man Wol in Hotel Del Luna has stuck with me ever since I watched it. I love her boldness, and her vulnerable sides that she tries so hard to hide. She’s not ashamed that she can be greedy or selfish and yet she is often humbled by Chansung.
And one other who I didn’t list the drama for, but I have a really soft spot for Oh Hani in Playful Kiss. Did that drama highlight some major issues in how much of a disadvantage her relationship and love for Baek Seungjo was? Yes... do I still cry for her suffering and her broken heart every time I watch it? Yes. Maybe because I relate to her foolish ways at times. I’m actually naive and inexperienced in the world, and have bravely tried to stand up for my feelings only to be shot down every time so I can relate to her in some ways.
