2.3 Poster! Initial thoughts!

(I will hide my rabbles once the PV drops if anything main story comes out but so far little can be taken from the poster)

Chronicles of Uluru? Does this mean its referring to an older Uluru Game to the 1.5 one? I will assume its a sequel or spinoff until the pv drops!

So far the only Olympics in London this could be based on is the 1948 London Olympics, which were meant to be held in 1944 but delayed due to WW2.

Tooth Fairy being the first returning event character! Mr Fog? Oliver Fog's father maybe? (Wait what era is Tooth Fairy from again?)

For the other names again hard to discern anything.

This seems to be ballet themed from the poster design (so maybe Swan Lake play? The description makes reference to a swan, the play is usually ballet performance so maybe?)

I forgor the years teased (Tooth Fairy and Fog complicate things) but the first full Swan Lake was performed in London in 1934 and it was performed in 1948 (maybe the story is about the focus character performing the play in London? )

The history of Uluru may not necessarily be tied to just Ulu and Spathodea (what if other priestnessses exist in the world? I wonder why it seems Spathodea and Ulu are not here) (BP please give another Awakened or fun designed character again)

If the patch is seemingly Swan Lake themed maybe skins will be theme toward ballet and character of Swan Lake

(Skin predictions for Necrologist, Horrorpedia, Getian, Kakania and Windsong are the same - interesting to see if I guess the rough theme correctly)

(Maybe this may not be just a call back to the Rimet Cup maybe even Book 6? So skins might be a reference to famous ballet plays such as Swan Lake, Giselle, Don Quixote, Cinderella etc etc.)

The sleepy town of Wormwood

A powerful witch has cast a spell over the town, isolating it from the rest of the world. Perpetually 1956, it exists in a stasis, unchanging over the years. No one has ever questioned the way things are, never thought about why nothing seems to change from year to year. Will anyone ever break free of the curse and bring Wormwood into the present or will it forever remain the same? I really love this hood and despite having so many issues with it, I still love playing it (and so does @nonsensical-pixels who is the one that inspired me to dig around to get most of the original files back because she was making me jealous). It's a little more silly but there are some pretty dark undertones as well. I know there's a couple issues but they really aren't a problem if you play the hood as a standalone or with non-PV subhoods. There is an overarching mystery/plot :) Who really is Moira and...is she really that bad? Is she actually evil or is there more to it? What's going on in the Moore house and why is there a strange smell wafting from it? The Tegan's sure are an odd bunch, is the picture perfect family of blonde hair and blues eyes a coincidence or something more sinister? Will Olive Specter finally find some good luck and love in Ocean Grisly? Sam Spyers is determined to figure out what's happening in Wormwood, but can she figure it out before it's too late?

There are 3 files included: Required, Highly Suggested, and Wormwood itself. The Required folder contains various CC that I used, almost entirely from Michelle's recolors from MTS (merged) + the Bespoke build set (merged), the (optional) Prison mod from Simlogical is not required but sort of ruins the immersion for two families, there are various plants from Parsimonious, fences from Smug Tomato Basket, more plants from the Castaway conversion site, the Sims 2 store sets, and unfortunately a really old merged buy mode folder that I genuinely do not remember what's in it other than a ton of Veranka's stuff. I don't think I used too much from this folder and most of it has the creator in the item descriptions. In all, it's about 1GB of CC, so it's not exactly that much. CC lite, I guess? Most of it is just to get the general vibe of the hood and can be replaced and even then, the bulk of it is simply recolors or bespoke wallpapers. I used this template from enchantedw0lf on MTS to create the hood. Townies may or may not be bald. No, I will not explain. As the first hood I've ever made, it has been through hell and back. I actually completely finished a more complex and involved version of it before managing to corrupt it due to a simple misclick in simpe and thinking I had a backup but not actually :):):) Then entirely remade it from scratch again but it was a hacked down version with fewer sims and simpler plot lines (rifp cowboy farmer who secretly wanted to be a pretty ballerina and had a room full of mannequins facing a stage where he'd dance for them). All this to say that I didn't make this hood 100% correctly and it has some...quirks. When I remade it, I forgot to disable stealth hoods (you'd think I'd have learned my lesson from this when I decided to make Natosi later lol), and I simply can't be bothered to delete townies n stuff. I don't have the energy or willpower to clean it up. The hood itself is still very pretty and fun to play, I think the odd quirks actually fit in perfectly and helps give the vibes I wanted for it!

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ Financier tried to jump in the way of the cake with her sword when Sorbet Shark decided to literally push it down on top of Clotted Cream, but defending the Consul from a giant cake is different from an enemy, and both of them ended up caked in cake! This also led to a soft ridicule of Sorbet Shark, though mostly from you. Pure Vanilla tried to tell them what they did was uncalled for but immediately stopped at the horrifyingly sad look the mercookie sent their way. The Chess Choco twins were just vibing in the corner watching this all go down and taking pictures, along with Strawberry Crepe.

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ Hollyberry is just on the floor laughing for a good bit. She can’t stop. Someone please help her. Wildberry is just waiting for her to stop laughing, to be honest. Dark Cacao, on the other hand, is literally PRAISING Sorbet Shark. Like hand-on-shoulder “You have some good instincts, kid” type of praising. He ends off his monologue speech “but don’t do that again.” when he sees the way that Vanilla and you are looking at him.

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ After the reunion, Pure Vanilla is freaking out when he can’t find the kids. He is literally running around the palace moving window curtains and checking under furniture type of panicking.

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ “I LOST THE CHILDREN!” “You whAT-“ “THEY’RE GONE!”

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ Once Strawberry Cookie finds a rogue Sorbet Shark digging through their jellies, Gingerbrave sent a note via bird to Pure Vanilla and you.

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ Trusting Gingerbrave in babysitting, you get a small break to spend with your significant other before the children return safely and in one piece. Pure Vanilla will not leave them alone for a while after that. You could tell he had missed them- it was pretty hard not to with him practically moping around- and he wanted to make sure they didn’t run off on a surprise adventure again.

(different anon) There's olive-skinned concept art of marinette that you can find on the wiki's image gallery. It's actually more mid stage. not early stage. The *earliest* concept art of Marinette looks basically exactly the same as she does now, just with duller hair and grey-blue eyes. At some point they started using a design that had her looking more southeast asian with an olive complexion and a wider nose, so there's some art of that, but obviously that's not *most* of the concept art.

Huh, so they started off with her PV design, dabbled with the darker design, and then ultimately went back to the PV I guess? Anyone, I'm guessing this is the concept art that was being referred to?

I clearly see Marinette and I'm guessing Felix is the one sitting alone in the corner. I actually thought that the blonde sitting at the table with Marinette was Adrien until I spotted the long braid, which I'm guessing means that's actually some girl. I'm guessing the Nino prototype that was referred to before is the boy in green? Probably?

Gotta say, I really love the blonde girl's design, I could see something like that being used for genderfluid!Adrien.

Alright time to speculate 2.3!

CN spoilers for the 2.0 story! So spoilers for 2.0,2.1,2.2!

Alright so I guessed right that the character on the poster was Willow, and she is both characters here.

Seems this time we will have allusions to the Paralympics with Willow! Love how BP can take a trope and put an interesting twist on it, Willow being a witch-ballet dancer hybrid with a prosthetic leg (is it a brace or a new leg Im not sure) is so interesting!

It seems that London has been reversed to 1950s after the Storm of 1966, as far as I can see with how patches have been happening linearly (as Linear R1999 can get). I would assume this is a sequel to 1.5, as the Uluru Games had been cancelled until the influence of Ulu and Spathodea; note they say Uluru Qualifiers, so the Games might not necessarily be in London but qualifiers is or was happening there.

Edit: as we know event patches will tie into the story, so I wonder if the smog in London could be the result of the Order of Enlightenment or Manus, so far we dont know what Forget Me Not and Ms Grace have been doing since 2.0.

They mention the year 1952 with the mention of the Great Smog of London, a severe air pollution that lasted 4 days. Note that Oliver Fog's dad, Arthur Fog died in this year. Now comes the question as we know Mr Fog will be making an appearance here, if TF is coming could Arthur Fog be saved?

(Also does Madam Z sound much softer in the PV? I know Sophia in 2.2 sounded slightly more sombre as well, maybe new voice direction?)

I think I am also onto something about Swan Lake, again Willow being a ballet dancer and we do see a swan in the PV. The woman in white who addresses Willow as Charlotte O'Hagan could be an allusion to Odetta the swan princess, (is she the figure in Willow's Ultimate? The hair looks the same) therefore in contrast with her witchy aesthetic Willow is an allusion to Rothbart the evil sorcerer. Either that or she alludes to Elphaba from Wicked, same ish vibes.

Can't say much on Slouch Hat (Brimely) and Flutterfly. Although Flutterfly is very adorable, and its fun to have a character like Brimley as a 5 star.

Also Atze und Alexandra sind ja schon süß. Erst philosophieren sie im Labor darüber, warum ihr Verkupplungsversuch nicht so erfolgreich war ("eine kaputte Heizung ist wahrscheinlich auch nicht ganz das, was Erwachsene anmacht") und als sie selbst nicht weiterkommen, beschließen sie Iris um Rat zu fragen (ist das nicht in allen Freundeskreisen so, dass die Dauersingles die besten Beziehungsratgeber sind? 😅 Es gibt halt momentan auch kein anderes Paar, das sie noch Fragen könnten). Als Iris dann "Romantik" vorschlägt, schauen die beiden sich ganz entgeistert an. Aro!Atze und Aro!Alexandra are canon! (aber die hatten doch auch schon romantische Szenen, als sie über Sterne philosophiert haben oder da in dem Freizeitpark, aber haben sie wahrscheinlich selbst nicht mal gemerkt 🥹👀)

Giovanni hat sich ja mit der Deko für sein "Bistro" alle Mühe gegeben. Liebs ja auch wie er dann aber mit verzogenen Gesicht Pizza vom Lieferdienst servieren muss, während Herr Pasulke und Frau Feilke merken, was der wahre Grund für ihr Dinner ist.

Äh Wolf ist verschwunden und als es dunkel wird beschließen einfach alle, dass es jetzt eh keinen Sinn mehr hat zu suchen und gehen nach Hause. Als alle anderen schon weg sind, schlägt Monika immerhin noch vor die Polizei zu rufen. Das sind ja tolle Freunde 💀 Kim hat dann wohl doch ein schlechtes Gewissen und zieht nochmal los, um Wolf zu suchen. Als sie ihn findet, schnauzen die beiden sich erstmal an - ähm bei aller Feindseligkeit, ein bisschen mehr Freude wäre von beiden Seiten eigentlich schon angebracht?! Kim fällt dann auch erst in das Loch, aber sie schaffen es erstaunlich schnell da wieder rauszukommen. Wäre das nicht SE, wäre das doch der ideale Plot für eine Enemies-to-lovers Story inklusive *oh wir müssen jetzt leider Körperkontakt haben, weil es hier kalt ist* 🫣

Diese Hundegeschichte mit Wolfert hat mich jetzt nicht so mitgenommen, aber wie Wolfert die Kids am Ende mit ihren eigenen Waffen schlägt, war schon sehr witzig 😂

Josephine hält ein Referat über erneuerbare Energien inklusive Aufklärung über Vorurteile durch Philip. Können wir sowas bitte mal vor der Tagesschau senden und nicht in Kinderserien von 2000 verstecken?? Und Frau Gallwitz nutzt die Gelegenheit, um gleich mal wieder die PV-Anlagen ins Gespräch zu bringen "es ist letztlich nur eine Frage der Zeit" - Dein Wort in Gottes Ohr, Marianne! Auch Philip will sich PV-Anlagen einsetzen, aber von Herr Fabian erfahren wir, dass das Schloss unter Denkmalschutz steht und das deswegen nicht möglich ist. (Das Jagdschloss Grunewald steht übrigens tatsächlich unter Denkmalschutz - es ist übrigens auch richtiger Mindblow auf Google mal andere Perspektiven vom Schloss zu sehen als in der Serie 🤯)

Oh die Oliver und Tine Lovestory beginnt. In der einen Szene traut er sich gar nicht für das Flügelflipper Tine mehr als nötig zu berühren und zwei Sekunden später hat er seinen Arm um sie gelegt. Wolf muss natürlich sofort die Gelegenheit für Körperkontakt nutzen und vorschlagen, mit Ingo gegen die beiden anzutreten - und als sie verlieren hat Ingo gleich einen ganz traurigen Blick, als Wolf sagt, dass er mit Tine auch gewonnen hätte. I've said it before and I will say it again, die müssen eine Backstory haben, die wir nicht kennen. Das kann doch alles kein Zufall sein 🥲🥲

Tine will Oliver dann ins Kino einladen, als Oliver die Nachricht bekommt, dass er Sonja am Bahnhof abholen soll. (Die Ferienbekanntschaft von Budhi, mit der er Katharina betrogen hat. Mit der er nackt im Pool war. - was ist das eigentlich schon wieder für eine Story, dass eine ca. 14 Jährige unter der Woche einfach so alleine eine Ferienbekanntschaft besucht und ihre Ankunft per Brief ankündigt??) Und nachdem die ihm kurz schöne Augen macht, vergisst er seine Verabredung mit Tine. Die Arme, sie hat ja fast Tränen in den Augen... 🥺

Marc kommt nämlich von seiner Kur zurück, reist aber einen Tag später schon wieder ab (hatte ehrlich gesagt ein bisschen vergessen, dass er überhaupt noch mitspielt) und sein Auftritt hat eigentlich auch nur den Zweck, dass Sonja und Budhi sich dann Budhis 90cm-Bett teilen. (Bisschen trauriger Ausstieg für Marc 🥲) Eigentlich flirtet Sonja aber viel mehr mit Oliver. Irgendwie wird mir diese Geschichte grad zu schnell zu pseudo erwachsen, ich bin doch noch nicht ready für diese Seite von Seelitz🙃 Mags aber dann dass Sonja diesen "Hahnenkampf" offenbar auch ein bisschen lächerlich findet und die beiden Jungs zu einem vermeintlichen abendlichen Date in die Lagerhalle einlädt. Bin tbh schon ein bisschen gespannt wie die Story noch zu Ende geht 😅

Ey, und dann sind einfach Marc und Budhi in einer Szene nur mit Boxershort bekleidet und im Hintergrund läuft "Wadde hadde dudde da", was ging da schon wieder ab? 🫠

Laura setzt dann noch das Gerücht in die Welt, dass Frau Delling schwanger ist und sogar Herr Fabian steigt darauf ein. Hier hätte man doch zur Auflösung zumindest noch unterbringen können, dass Spekulationen über Schwangerschaften immer unangebracht sind.

je fais pas souvent de la pub mais ce petit cocon cosy le mérite tant, par l’intégration et la bonne humeur qui régit sa communauté, les idées toujours renouvelées et le respect du staff envers ses membres.. il y a un large panel de possibilités qui nous permettent d’écrire n’importe quoi (de censé) avec n’importe qui et surtout une vraie envie générale de jouer ensemble, développer des histoires et de vrais liens et damn, ça fait du bien.

+ le forum a ouvert le monde adulte et mille opportunités en plus à jouer, une aile universitaire à oxford, une année supplémentaire à poudlard, c'est chill, voldemort n'est plus depuis la troisième année d'harry, c'est surtout de la vie étudiante et de jeunes adultes sorciers et c'est tellement cool.

j’attends personnellement ron weasley et sirius black, phineas rookwood (bff to enemies) les jumeaux weasley, oliver wood (l’ancienne équipe de quidditch gryffondor), une étudiante étrangère aux airs du passé et deux apprentis aurors dont un métamorphomage!

→ mais de nombreux pv, scénas et pré-liens intéressants vous attendent, comme roger davies (bff), rolf scamander (mentor), un grand frère (aux origines compromises), lee jordan, cormac mclaggen, tonks, susan bones, draco malfoy, pansy parkinson, millicent bulstrode, des professeurs (!!!), des anciens élèves de poudlard, des anciens joueurs de quidditch serpentards, la famille shafiq, une meilleure amie bientôt ennemie.
