AUGH i LOVE rhyolitic volcanoes but truly i think andesite better serves what i need here so i compromise by making this a very silica-rich andesitic volcano. like its andesite but only barely

#putting some more work into my map and environmental stuff. i heart rhyolite its so Cool that shit blows up like crazy #but andesite is more common on continental subdivision zones AND rhyolite might be a little TOO destructive honestly.....#AND rhyolite doesnt really make a nice caldera. it just collapses and it also doesnt tend to occur in mountain ranges #rhyolite volcanoes are all just kinda their own thing. SAD! well there's other rocks
