I just don't reblog posts with unironic DNIs on them. Doesn't matter if not a single one of the things mentioned in the DNI applies to me (although it's kind of hard to tell when sometimes I've never heard of half the shit mentioned and sure as hell aren't going to look it up), I just think DNIs are ridiculous and I refuse to encourage anyone who puts them on posts.

#if they're in the blog description that's different #not that i think it's less silly or laughably ineffective because it still is but it's not quite as bad imo #like... any outgroups that are actually a coherent category and self-identify as such know who they are #but depending on who that is they might well not care about your blog ANYWAY and be driven away just by the content you post #and any groups that OBVIOUSLY DO NOT identify themselves in that way CAN'T be like 'aw shucks guess i gotta leave'#and probably more important YOU YOURSELF could belong to that group #putting 'racists dni' won't magically prevent you from being seen as one #it'll just mean everyone will judge you harder (and/or point and laugh depending on context) if or when you say something that qualifies
