rowan damisch truly makes like 1 decision and falls into *checks notes* 120+ years of suffering
#he decides to comfort an almost stranger while they die#and is rewarded with 4 months of murder training#8 months of more abusive murder training#like a year or so of solitude and doing righteous murders#captured by villain and killed over and over#escapes and get stuck on a sinking island when he dies in an airtight cube at the bottom of the ocean#revived after 3 years and kept in jail#busted out of jail by villain and almost executed#busted out by a different group who force him into doing less righteous murders#get out of that and get put in a shipping container of corpses for 4 days#reunites with gf who then dies in his arms#put on a spaceship and told she'll be revived in 117 years#arc of a scythe#bookshelf#these books are so funny#the characters just get dragged thru events over and over#but i think rowan has is worst#bc everyone hates him the whole time#and its super not his fault#this isnt even everything#this doesnt include volta and tyger#and his family#and faradays rejection#hes so emo and hes earned it#rowan: im gonna call myself.....
