Hindi and Marathi film actor Shreyas Talpade faced a health scare on December 14, 2023, succumbing to a cardiac arrest post his Welcome To The Jungle shoot. Swiftly hospitalized, he underwent a critical angioplasty procedure. Now, the actor has made his first public appearance and looks healthy.

In a clip shared on a paparazzi page, the actor was seen enacting the dialogue from Pushpa: The Rise. Celebrating his 48th birthday with the media, he said, “Pushpa…Pushpa…Main jhukega nahi saala”. He thanked everyone for praying for his well-being and said, “I wanted to share this day with my fans, with all of you and I wanted to thank everyone for loving me so much, for praying for me, for blessing me. I think I am very fortunate.”

In December, a source told Hindustan Times, “He shot through the day, was absolutely fine and joking around with everyone on the set. He even shot sequences that had a bit of action. After finishing the shoot, he went back home and told his wife that he was feeling uneasy. She rushed him to the hospital but he collapsed on the way.” The publication quoted a staff member from the hospital saying, “Shreyas Talpade is admitted. He was brought late in the evening. His health update is awaited.”

Directed by Ahmed Khan and produced by Jio Studios and Sajid Nadiadwala under his banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, Welcome To The Jungle has a long list of cast that also includes Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Raveena Tandon, Arshad Warsi, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Rajpal Yadav, Lara Dutta, among others.

Storms are a-coming. Avengers style.

Icy blasts of box office rains ramming the Bollywood mothership, tearing holes in the hull of formula films, ‘differentiated’ content and even mega stars’ egos - with their battering bolts. One after the other - #RRR, #KGF2, #Pushpa, #SarkariVaariPaata, and others; are killing it at the box office. Hindi dubbed versions too. 

Meanwhile, Bollywood has some feeble responses at the Box Office. #JayeshbhaiJordaar, #Heropanti2, #Jersey, #83 ... the list is long. 

Has the South finally battered Bollywood into submission? 

NO! NO! AND NO!

I WILL NOT GIVE SOUTH FILMS THE CREDIT OF TEARING A HOLE IN THE HULL OF BOLLYWOOD’S SHOWBOAT! 

To borrow a line, I speak for Bollywood and its grand stars and its stories and its timelessness ... “MAIN JHUKEGA NAHI, SAALA!”    

BOLLYWOOD HAS NO ONE TO BLAME BUT ITSELF FOR THE WHIRLPOOL IT IS! And that is the holy truth. 

I feel the Showboat is merely going in for an overhaul. 

They wanted to be different. They went too extreme.

They wanted to appeal to the heartland. They became too localised. 

They wanted to be realistic. They rubbed off all the glitter.

They wanted to tell real-hero stories (biopics). They began making documentaries.

They wanted to tell untold stories. They became alienated from all genres except ‘reality’. 

In short, the glitter, the glam, the foreign locations, the grandeur got replaced by reality. A bit too hard hitting. Just a slight problem with that. Maybe there is too much reality all around? Maybe there’s a saturation? Maybe some relief is required? Maybe a big-screen experience in Bollywood that will change the direction of its footfalls? An #Avengers, #Avataar, #JurassicPark style makeover? Maybe? 

Maybe all heads need to join together and come together as one? Forgetting all rivalries, camps, dushmanis, competitions, awards and high prices? 

Maybe an #AmarAkbarAnthony reboot with #ShahRukhKhan, #AamirKhan, #SalmanKhan? Or a #Bahubali with #AkshayKumar and/ or #AjayDevgn? Maybe a #QSQT with #ShahidKapur and #JahnviKapoor?

Basically a Mission Save Bollywood - where everyone makes a project as one? That’s the Bollywood I know. Then no storm can ever batter its hull. 

That’s the Bollywood I love. Known & Loved worldwide.

(The following are my opinions meant for sportive criticism, nothing is being imposed)

Good cinematography, good music

Took one step forward with a frank character and two steps back with the sex appeal storyline with Srivalli and also the pati-parayan mentality of Sukumar's latest love interest characters need go.

The chittoor accent was spot on

They made him seem like a good guy, getting to marry the girl he loves, no real harm done, all conflicts are mentally, if not physically solvable

If you're showing a smuggler, show me the grey area, don't point to an area and say it's a grey area. Let us decide.

I wanted it to not be dubbed and let people soak in the roots of the setting but whale... Dubbing is commercially beneficial mayhaps (Pushpa could have gotten the hype nonetheless yk) -> "nee avva taggedeley" has more rawness to it than "jhukega nahi!"

Renewed my faith in DSP as a director (Iddarammayiltho's music is.... 🌶️🌶️🌶️❄️❄️) (Does anyone remember Attarintiki daaredi? Better days sigh)

Gotta commend aa's efforts in the linguistics and physique dept tho, he really looks as rough as the desi lumberjacks on this side

I didn't like the fleetingness of the "villains"

He kept so many good artists in it.... "For what?" — "Why not?" — "Why though" — "Why not?"

Good camera angles somewhere and so glad they didn't use Rangasthalam's sepia tone owing to the forest setting

I just don't want Pushpa 2 to become like Bahubali 2 - contradicting, spineless and a sequel which makes you wish you didn't get one
