obsessed with the idea that the kidd pirates just. dont have a fucking ship doctor for some reason. so they have law on speed dial 24/7 anytime they need to ask him a question about how to treat something despite their crews' rivalry. and law always bitches and is like when the fuck are you assholes just gonna get your own doctor so you guys can leave me alone (despite always answering the den den mushi and giving instructions on what supplies are needed and how to perform the procedures). and then killer is a smart guy so he knows that the real reason why kidds dumbass doesnt go and snag himself a ship doctor is because he needs an excuse to keep calling law. and even when he thinks kidds being a dumbass about how hes going about this weird crush that doesnt mean he wont be supportive

I'm thinking about Mulder burrowing into three layers of Arcadia pillows (one for his head, one for the back of his neck and shoulders, and one for the small of his back-- how domesticated), trying to look enticing so Scully won't kick him out.

Meanwhile, Mulder's fullproof plan is foiled once the camera zooms out and we see what Scully sees, The Bigger Picture:

While he is adorable in his cute, socked feet (which he kept on despite being in California after a hot run... because it ups his adorable, "don't kick me out" factor), Mulder left a dirty, lace-snarled shoe dangling off the corner of the bed while dumping HIS jacket over onto SCULLY's side of the bed and lying diagonally into her zone, consuming more of her space.

(Moreover, he quips about "Laura" and "we're married now"-- so it's not a Mulder proposition so much as a Mulder poke.)

And when Scully gives him the boot, what does Mulder do? Get up from his side and take his shoe and jacket like a reasonable person?

No. He toddlers over the bed in a purposefully awkward, gynmantics-for-middle-aged-unreasonable-people way,

dumping the pretense by grabbing the only pillow he cared about

and keeping a grip on it even after he squeezes into Scully's personal space to make a pointed quip,

gauge her reaction,

and toddle out of the room.

The last shot of him leaving is not even him: it's his pillow still in frame.

(That one gets me every time.)

Every second of this episode is so good I almost can't stand it.

I'm getting to the worst part of Far Harbor again: Making decisions. Should I nuke the Nucleus? (most likely yes) Should I destroy FH? (hell no, my beloved mariner is there) Should I burn Acadia? (mmmmmmmmmmmmm) Should I tell FH about Avery? (maybe not necessary?)

If I wanna do things different this time I have to be cold hearted, but it's still hard. Wish I could take the mariner with me and run away.

personally i don't vote on trials because i believe that milgram is literally conducting the milgram experiment on us, but...when you put two big red buttons in front of my face and tell me to push one, i want to push it. so bad. so, so bad

but to elaborate on what i meant earlier, i've seen a few other people saying this as well: the real life, original milgram experiment was conducted in order to see if and how people would act when ordered by an authority figure. and what happens in this song project?

some mysterious form of authority, never really present unless you count jackalope, is ordering es (and by extension us) to judge the sins of these prisoners. do we forgive, or not forgive? we have control over their fates, and it doesn't even have to be "guilty/innocent," just "forgiven/unforgiven."

i'm not alone in thinking that they're testing es. they are under the milgram experiment. we are.

you would be fucking lying if you said that women, including canonical love interests but especially women of color, don’t get pushed aside or demonized for big m/m ships (an example including something i personally ship: anyone who has ever been paired with eddie or buck!. other examples? those dudes from the witcher. st*r*k and the treatment of those fans towards malia and braeden.) and to take people talking about that as a slight against you personally preferring a m/m ship is weird as fuck. “people pair them up with other women all the time!!” no one said they didn’t??? the issue here is specifically when those women are demonized and written off and hated for being with those men. not that people prefer different ships. you’re either ignorant as hell or being deliberately obtuse. either way you sound stupid as hell
