In outside things, this purslane sprouted randomly (a gift from the fairies, we like to think) when my begonias died of frost, and it has been a gorgeous addition to my little container garden! TL/DR: Garden picture spam. Day two of three blooms on my hibiscus; purslane in the place I planted it followed by purslane where I didn’t. A random pink & a random white impatiens growing where they weren’t planted (I only had a potted pink impatiens last year.) My bell pepper is still in bloom, as is my cocktail tomato. My big jalapeño on my plant I thought was done. Fall Mums (the asters didn’t do so well.) And, does anyone know what the heck the last plant is? I thought it was a mum coming back from last year but the leaves don’t look the same as my other mums. Apak has been planting these shrubs eversince he began stingless bees farming (small-scale of course!). All we know the bees love them so much. So this morning I decided to search via Google and found out that these are PURSLANE FLOWERS. It is said that purslane leaves and stems can be eaten as salad! But I still have to do a bit of research whether they are safe to be eaten or not. Tak pasal-pasal nak eat clean terus eat-go-die, kan? Naaaa...mati die die la dek oi!
