What is your head canon on the way saint acts are they calm and reasonable or murderous with little reason or maybe something else.
saint campaign spoilers!!
I prefer the more docile, peaceful headcanon of him (this is totally not due to my own attachment to him (IT IS). he understands what his purpose is, and even though it is cruel at times it is what he's there for. he's ultimately just a little guy doing his job!
he goes around ascending creatures of all kinds, big or small, that are exhausted of the cycle whether they know it or not. part of me can imagine him getting along very well with the critters as opposed to the actual campaign BAHAH
and contrary to the popular BRAINBLAST ASCENSION BEAM that the fandom likes to see, I think he's very capable of helping them pass on in a. less violent way. more gentle :] guides em into it.
hope this answers that!

Thank you Rain World Ray World mod for the inspiration <3
So I got back in to Rain World like two weeks ago and got this cool new mod where I could play as some Rayman characters. I main as Goth Teensy ofc, but it got me thinking about how the actual Rayman cast would work in Rain World. So, here are some concepts.
(Some things for sure are that slugcats are teensies, scavengers are glutes, lizards are dragons, vultures are knaaren, neurons/batflies are lums, ancients are limbless/thingamagigs, the nymphs are iterators, and the lesser fairies are overseers.)
Actual designs the bios below cut:
Limbless Body, Sunray Mind (Rayman) was a purposed organism created by Beyond the Earth and Stars (Betilla). Beyond's fascination and respect for the ancients that built her led to Sunray's creation, a conglomerate of Ancient body parts held together with mechanics. He's still very much like the og Rayman (energetic, kind-hearted, procrastinator, strong, etc.) except now he has two permanent companions in the form of overseers who keep him from dying. One overseer is Ly, and she's actually good at her job. The other, Murfy, is really bad at keeping Sunray alive.
Also, although Sunray can survive downpours of rain, it does cause his body parts to detach and be unusable.
Globox is not his actual name, it was the name that Sunray heard him referred to when they first met. He's a scavenger that is still the same old Globox, big, loving, scared, but this time armed with water and a knife. He and Sunray met on accident while he was being chased by a lizard. Sunray stabbed the lizard (on accident but shhhh) and Globox immediately bonded to him. When he's not hanging out with his own scav colony, he's with Sunray sleeping in shelters or exploring the Glade. He does do weekly food trips for his wife and kids tho.
Raised by a skilled spearsmater and explosive artificer, the Grand Minimus has a knack for fighting and crafting. Although not being the smartest scug in the colony, he is very skilled in thinking on his feet and getting himself and others out of tight situations. However, he does view slugcats higher than most other creatures, so befriending other species is a challenge for him. But with Beyond's protection, the colony has no need to worry about a mass attack anytime soon. He really likes Sunray though; they take awesome naps together.
The Goth is one of the newest residents of Beyond's scug colony. Coming and going from the group quite frequently, he bounces between relaxing / attempting to make friends and guarding the entrance to the Depths and to an extent, the Rubicon. However, he's not very good at either. Whether it's his weird tail and mannerisms or his giant red lizard pet, it's anyone's guess why he struggles. When Sunray comes into the picture, he is able to have an easier time making friends (cuz of that Sunray rizz), but still struggles. When he disappears for longer durations of time, he's either with the Ray Gang or hanging with his found family down in the Rubicon.
I will make more later, but this is it for now. I love them all. If anyone has any ideas or questions, feel free to ask lol.
Have a good one folks :))

Girls who help Moon :)
(plus our orphan son we found along the way) I did this in a solo jolly co-op with the purpose of reading Hunter's pearl (I didn't read it my first Hunter run because it was hard to carry multiple items and I was inexperienced. Maybe this is cheating but idc and it was fun) I played as Riv and carried Hunter on my back most of the time, but on the first cycle Riv actually died and I had to play as Hunter (and use arrow keys instead of WASD!). My headcanon for this little story is that the timeline is closer together and Hunter's rot was faster, so Rivulet offered to help the ailing scug. Hunter reluctantly agreed.
When I got to Five Pebbles', I found this lil gal! Named her Pearl...
Unfortunately, I went the wrong pipe, so I went back to get the neuron, leaving Hunter behind with pearl while Riv got neurons, but Hunter teleported into Pebbles' room. I didn't want to leave without enlightenment. Long story short, they both died, and poor Pearl was lost on her 0 cycle, so we couldn't get her back. I hope she's okay somewhere in the great cycle... However, my girls then found Odysseus! He's a cutie.
Not Rivulet backflipping into an echo (and taking her whole squad with her)
Then we got to Moon! There were scavs blocking the path, but I had to go and I hibernated in the shelter three rooms before her and they were gone, so I guess it worked out. Took a few tries.
Us bowing to the queen before we leave her ✨
One of their last cycles together- Hunter fell asleep standing up <3 Plus, a pretty purple scav! She killed us all lol
Finally, farewell. Recently did a Spearmaster ascension where I ditched my pups and I felt so bad, so I had Rivulet stay behind with Odysseus. Then I found out only Player 1 could ascend, so I had to redo it and switch Rivulet to Player 2. They said their goodbyes, group hugged, and Hunter went off to ascend, while Rivulet stayed behind to raise Ody.
The ending... void sea spoilers! Things actually dissolve in there! So cool. Checking in on my gang one last time before I go to the light.
Hunter ending spoilers + run stats! Idk why it said Helped Five Pebbles instead of Helped Looks To The Moon lol
Jolly co-op indeed except I did it by myself but storywise yknow. Thanks Rivulet!
I doubt anyone read this far but if you did I appreciate it lol. Here's a virtual batfly. 🦇 What?? You don't like batflies? Fine, a cookie. 🍪 Take it or leave it (or take both a batfly and a cookie...)

New subregion! This one mainly focuses and themes around the purposed organisms designed for beauty, living in glass boxes.
Forgotten Gallery
A large structure created with the purpose of acting as a zoo or art museum of sorts. Glass boxes line the walls, containing beautiful creatures, some dead due to thirst or starvation, some plucked down to bone by other creatures, some alive, and some thriving. Many of these enclosures either have desperate scratch marks, usually containing weak or deceased creatures, while others are shattered, their inhabitants roaming the grounds. Nevertheless, all of the containers were made to contain nothing but their inhabitants, meaning no items, food, or entertainment can be found.
Creatures!
Rose lizard / getaway prevention system A lizard specifically designed to meet the ancient’s idea of beauty and elegance. Unfortunately, part of their ideas of lizard grace was sharp claws. Using a charge attack similar to a green or caramel lizard, they leap through the air and attempt to land on you and slice you with their claws. Getting sliced will temporarily weaken your speed and spear damage, but repetition results in random Hunter-like stuns, exhaustion, and sloppier crafting (Less durability or effect). This happens with all slicing and piercing creature attacks, and can be nullified by using self-made bandages or resting in a shelter. Getting slice damage inflicted too many times without treatment will make you drop to the floor out of exhaustion more and more often until you die. This way, even if you can escape from a creature’s grasp, you’re never going to get out without some damage. Rose lizards are typically very agile, able to keep up the same pace as the player.
Kintsugi moth
A passive creature in the form of a moth. There are multiple varieties of these moths, all ranging from any shade of black, white, and grey. These moths sport extravagant golden line patterns that swirl along their bodies. They are prey animals and will eat batflies, leeches, and plant life. They can usually be found flying around with food folded in their arms with the goal of storing large amounts of food in their dens to survive the harsh climate and little foliage, and they will drop these items when stunned. Unfortunately, they have heightened senses allowing them to hear and see you from a while away. Giving them food will raise your reputation with them, meaning they will sometimes drop you two food items that they consider a meal, which can unfortunately include leeches. Killing them will lower your reputation, and most moths will fly away immediately upon sensing your presence. Occasionally, their pupae can be found hanging a short distance from ceilings, looking like larger, taller green blue fruits. Grabbing and eating them will grant you 1 food pip, but taking one to your shelter and hibernating with it will result in two babies, each giving you 2 food pips. If an adult spots you carrying the pupae or newly-emerged moths, your reputation will drop by a large margin. Throwing an alive baby to an adult will raise your reputation by the amount lost +10. Infant moths cannot be found in the wild, due to them being kept in their guardian’s shelter.

Architect by @moss-and-marimos VERSUS The Eradicator by @frnletorres - Round 2 set 1
The Architect- Description:
The architect is a modified survivor slugcat, and so the amount of food pips would be similar to survivor but at least some of them would be required to be carnivorous. This is in order to sustain the energy output used by the slugcat's special ability, this being that they can weld things with their hands. They also have more physical strength than survivor and would most likely do 2 spear damage instead of one. This is in part because they are able to weld spears together to make them larger and more powerful, as well as helping the player to move around the map more easily. They would be bad at swimming, but because of this ability are able to more easily traverse terrain requiring more complicated parkour.
Story:
The Architect is a purposed organism made by Sewn Ends In Lilacs (one of my iterator ocs) to repair an ancient iterator that she found out about. This other iterator was built so early on that the ancients didnt know how huge of an issue the rains would be, and so was built without a retaining wall. Because of this, his structure is falling apart from beneath and around him, and is a similar state to moons in canon, though more overgrown rather than flooded. The course of the campaign if it was actually a game would be traveling from Lilacs' can to the can of Digital Dandelions, the broken down iterator, to repair his puppet and bring it back online, and then to connect communications between him and lilacs. Though this likely wouldnt be a part of the actual game, the architect would then focus on the long task of repairing and updating DD's structure.
The Eradicator- Description:
Stats: Needs 7 (10 max) pips to hibernate. Can only eat corpses, with batflies giving 1/4 pip and baby centipedes/noodleflies one pip. Starts with the glow and the mark. Can dual wield, has 1.5 spear damage and has a stronger maul than artificer. Can also throw spears upwards. Heavier than survivor. Regular lung capacity and swim speed. Slightly slower than survivor when walking, but crawling and climbing speed is the same. Can do very high and long jumps however, and even leap vertically, allowing it to reach high places without having to backflip. Longer slides.
Abilities: It can secrete a sticky substance from its hands, allowing it to: Temporarily climb walls, with a meter depleting everytime you climb up and recovering as long as you’re not on a wall. Craft bombs and bomb spears with cherrybombs Cling onto big creatures, letting you maul or stab them before being shaken off. It has a thick skin, making it harder to get stunned, giving it more time before being incapacitated by predator bites, and a small chance to survive spear hits. It can hold items with its mouth, with the drawback of not being able to eat or maul while doing so.
Campaign: The campaign would take place on a new map, composed mainly of an iterator and its city with a connection to the void sea through a mining facility under it. Most of the campaign would be spent in the city, divided in regions and with a focus on verticality and climbing, similar to metropolis. In exchange of not having to deal with the rain while in the city, and besides the day/night cycle, the shelters in each region will not open until a specific number or type of creature are killed. Once enough kills are achieved, that region will be “cleared out”, permanently opening its shelters, reducing its creature spawns, and unlocking the gate to the next region. The rest of the regions (Inside the iterator, under it and on the surface) function as normal. There would be a high quantity of vultures, introducing more variants of them (such as juveniles), with the final region being a vulture nest with a final boss at the highest point to end the campaign.
Story:
They where created by an iterator in response of his city being overwhelmed with vultures and other creatures, with its main task of being basically pest control. Without getting to deep into said iterators lore, the reason he chose a slugcat for the mission is he already had experience working with their species, using them as workers to maintain his structure. The Eradicator can either attempt to fulfill its mission, or dip and take a swim in the void sea.
Fun Facts:
While it doesn’t really affect its abilities or story, its kind of a slugcat and lizard mix, shown by its frills and coloration. Also is genetically engineered to hate birds.

Rebecca's Molded Creatures Guide - Pt 1
The following notes are recorded in a lizard-skin bound journal always kept on the person of Rebecca, the co-leader of the Recovery Colony, for the purpose of documenting and sharing the details and record of events of the Mold infestation.
These notes include illustrations and details regarding the Molded, creatures of our world that have been infected and/or created by the Mold. It should be noted that all creatures listed are very dangerous and should be avoided at all costs to lessen the spread of the Mold. If interaction is unavoidable, these notes will also detail how to keep oneself from getting infected - if it’s possible.
The creatures on this page are those that reside, or have resided, in the air.
Batflies
Batflies, once the smallest and most harmless entities within the Regions - and our main food source, now a threat to our survival
Batflies that have undergone a Molded transformation have grown exponentially in size, ranging from grappling worms to full grown Slugcats
They, like most other Molded, have also become much more hostile, attacking any uninflected individual on sight
They travel in swarms and infest dark, dank areas. A good way to tell if you are approaching a Batfly nest is to listen - the sound of flapping wings, gnashing teeth, and gargled squeaks usually signify that a swarm is inhabiting an area
The Batflies are blind and rely on hearing to detect prey. If you must travel through a Batfly nest, you must do so absolutely silently
If Batflies detect prey, they will swarm it like piranhas and strip them to their bones. Escaping from a swarm has two possible outcomes: bleeding out due to the number and deepness of bites, or becoming infected through the mold in their saliva
One way to tell that something has been infected by a Batfly is through the signature circular bite marks decorating their body
Vultures
Vultures’ hostile attitudes remain through their infection - as do most other already hostile creatures - though they will persist in attacks even if injured, whereas uninfected counterparts will flee
Vultures that have been infected slowly lose their ability to fly as heavy Mold drip growths cover their body, eventually becoming completely flightless
They reside in trees and other high places, laying in wait for prey to walk beneath them. Once they do, they will either drop down or ensnare them in vine drips. Afterwards, their mold-covered bodies will engulf the prey completely
A good way to tell you are approaching a Molded Vulture’s territory is to check the vine drips to see if they are attached to trees or to something in the trees
If you see a grounded Vulture, avoid it, especially if it has bone-like spines growing from its back, mold drips, and a cracked mask
Noodleflies
Infected Noodleflies are wildly different from their uninfected counterparts
For one, they travel alone. No baby Noodleflies to be found. Some suspect that infected Noodlefly adults devour babies first chance they get
For another, their colors have dulled, and their eyes are empty and hollow and clouded with black
The most obvious mutation, however, is that their bodies are covered in thin bone-like spines from their noses to the tips of their tails. Some of these spines are detachable and can be launched like projectiles. The ones on the lower half of their bodies can also serve as legs
Noodleflies main method of attack are the aforementioned projectiles, but they can also constrict, which leads to tearing thanks to their sharp spines
Noodleflies have not been seen eating any prey that they’ve caught, only killing, impaling to carry, and flying away. It is believed that they carry anything they’ve caught back to home colonies to feed the Mold growth
Distinct buzzing sounds herald the approach/proximity of a Noodlefly. If you get caught, your best bet of escape is to bite or slash through their bodies between their spines. Be careful to not swallow or hold the blood in your mouth for too long or the Mold will take root
Samca
Samca were the second instance of hybrids to be observed, the first being Varcolacs
Through observation, it seems that these creatures are hybrids between Scavengers and Vultures, looking more like the former than the latter
The theory of how these hybrids form is not proven, but it is believed that they are formed when two separate species are caught in the same Mold trap. They’re bodies are broken down before being fused together and reanimated into these new creatures
Though their wings seem inadequate, they are adept flyers and replace grounded Vultures as top sky predators
They ambush from the air and carry prey off to either be devoured by Samcas or integrated into Mold systems
Samca’s have a distinct, high-pitched cry that can be heard for miles. Their wingbeats are also very pronounced, the flapping sounding like leather
Their talons are sharp and pierce deep, struggling makes it worse. If one is captured, it may take the help of others to free them before they are taken away

Do boreas's batflies ever make batfly chains hanging off of him?
Also does he keep batflies in his cloak so he can do the batman cape thing and then bats fly everywhere.
THEY DO AND IT ALWAYS MANAGES TO TILT HIS HEAD A LIL TO THE SIDE AND HES LIKE
he gets no break </3
he wouldn't do it- on Purpose at least. he's a mister serious "i gotta work", so he's not gonna fool around like that ever, but the lil things would probably worm under his chlamys to sleep there. and then he moves in a certain way and the chlamys lifts up a lil n WHOOOSH a whole flock goes flyin
in the worm off the string au it would probably happen a few times intentionally either because the kids would ask for it or he'd try to make someone fuck off with the power of Many Bat In Face

The batfly survives because it has nothing else to do. The Hunter survives because it has to. Neither want to let their family down.
For the batfly, each cycle is the same. Eat, sleep, repeat. By no doubt, this cycle gets interrupted often. Most regularly by multiple of its swarm getting caught and devoured. Rarely do they get through a cycle all in one piece. Little does the batfly care, however, as it does for everything else. Other than eating and sleeping.
If the batfly were capable of feeling things other than hunger, it might have grieved for its lost family members. But it doesn’t. So, it eats again.
‘Family’.
The swarm is the closest thing the batfly has to one. They all huddle together for warmth at the end of each cycle, just like they share all the carcasses they find during daylight. Each member of the swarm understands that they’d die if alone. This deep-rooted understanding helps them cooperate. Makes them, more accurately.
If the batfly was smart enough to think about all this, it might have felt sadness. But, it isn’t, and that’s okay. What matters is that it’s smart enough to survive. So, it sleeps again, having survived another cycle.
The batfly *will die eventually, of course. That’s an undeniable fact for all living creatures. Most creatures fear it. This bug has already accepted this just like its swarm has. This doesn’t mean itt embraces it. Far from it. Dying would mean leaving its swarm behind. That would be unfortunate, given how many more nights there are to huddle through, how many carcasses left to share. Hardly cooperation. Dying would mean going against its deep-rooted understanding. So it survives.
This world is undeniably cruel. Even the batfly knows this. But, it doesn’t dwell on this. Instead, it continues to eat, sleep, and survive.
Maybe, if the batfly understood the Great Cycle, it’d think its existence meaningless. It’d be wrong. Even the smallest little bugs make this world what it is, one of them being the batfly. Whether it gets consumed by a wild creature, whether it gets caught out in the rain, whether it lives out its life in full, it’d all mean something.
But, the batfly doesn’t have time to think about such trivial things. Survival comes first. So, it does it all over again.
—
For the Hunter, each cycle is precious. Although their purpose has been fulfilled, there is still no time to rest. They must go on. Keep eating, sleeping. Keep surviving. There is no time to waste when their time in this world will end soon.
… Not exactly ‘end’. Their body and soul will still reside in this world. They’ll simply take on a different form. A cursed form, yes, but they’ll still live. The mangled mess that their heart will become will still beat, painfully so, and the Hunter will wish it had just died. But it hasn’t yet, so it continues on.
There is nothing they, or the so-called ‘gods’, can do about this, about the cysts that cluster on the beast’s body. They’ve spread all across their body now. They pulse and spasm every so often, ready to burst, painfully so.
If what the pink god said is true, they still have a chance. The old path. Go west, past the farm arrays, and then down into the earth where the land fissures. Simple enough, they thought. They were familiar with the farm arrays - finding an entrance underground wouldn’t be difficult. They may have already seen it before.
But the Hunter is no fool. They know it won’t be easy. Surviving never has been. Their aching muscles won’t be of any help, either.
Unlike the batfly, the Hunter can feel more. They feel grief for the family they never had, sadness for being cursed with this terrible existence. Maybe, in another Cycle, they return to their father who rids them of their illness. Maybe, there, they live out the rest of their existence happy, without having to worry about starving, or being eaten by a fellow starving beast.
Maybe, in another Cycle, their existence isn’t so painful. Their heart pangs at the idea, cysts spasming, sending them crashing to the cold ground. This isn’t the first time they’ve thought about such a life.
They feel something resembling shame, sometimes, for thinking these things. It’s not like this existence is only pain. There’s rare moments of joy and respite. They don’t last long, but they’re there. The fallen god was one of them. After they had delivered their purpose, they curled up in her lap, and stayed there until the rain came. She had pet them gently, avoiding touching the cysts amassing on them. There had been far less of them back then.
The cysts cover their whole body now. They wonder if she’d still recognize them, mutilated as they are. They wonder if they’d have the time to visit her again. They can only hope they have enough time to make the journey to the farm arrays.
But, the Hunter doesn’t have the time nor the strength to think about such painful things. First, it must rest - so it continues on.
—
Eat. Sleep. Repeat. The cycles all blend together like a blur of light.
But, this cycle, it smells something familiar. Something special. A red, lanky plant, not much bigger than the batfly itself. It’s not the only one to notice this new smell. In a few seconds, nearly half of the swarm heads towards it.
Despite not providing much substance, the batflies continue on. Everything means something, and this plant means a small joy to nibble on. It’s not much, but it’s enough for the batfly.
Nearby predators notice them flying about, but none care enough to hunt them. Like the plant, they provide little to no substance. They differ from it in the matter that they’re not a joy to consume. Only to a starving beast, maybe, but those lack the stamina necessary to catch these fast and elusive bugs.
A starving beast is what they find. It lays on the cold ground, gasping for air. Next to it lies the red plant. The swarm advances, paying no mind to the beast.
The beast’s ears flick as the batflies flutter towards it. It bares its teeth, emitting a low, faint growl. It’s enough to scare some of the swarm off, including the batfly. For some, the plant’s smell is too alluring. They flutter around it, nibbling away. The beast quiets down after a few moments. It stops panting and huffing as well, completely still now. The batfly understands that it has now died.
Now without worry, the rest of the swarm joins in on enjoying the plant.
Preoccupied, they don’t notice when the beast moves, at first. It wriggles around, and only when it bumps into the plant does the swarm flutter away. They still stay around the plant, watching the beast, waiting for it to quiet down again. But it doesn’t. Instead, the bulbs on its back rapidly expand. Puss leaks from it, the smaller cysts completely bursting. The rest of the swarm flutters away now as well.
The creature’s pale body transforms in a way the batfly cannot describe. It watches as the creature’s limbs stretch, how its skin tears in places, how the red liquid trickles down. Its cloudy, bulging eyes get overgrown by a thin layer of its skin.
Tendrils sprout from the cyst, short at first, but in the span of a few seconds twice the size of the beast. It doesn’t let out as much as a whine. Another tendril sprouts, this time from its mouth. A few cysts, connected by short, lanky strands, fall out of its maw when it opens.
The batfly does not feel fear. This is a creature, just like any other, in its eyes. It stays close to its swarm, still, and waits for it to leave.
Again, the beast’s ears flick in the direction of the swarm. After a moment of stillness, it raises itself up. The batfly watches as it reaches out and catches its fellow bug. If it could, it’d mourn. But it can’t. So, when the creature drinks it and falls to the cold ground, it flies to the plant again. It’s still hungry, after all. It doesn't mind the terrible wet sound that comes from the beast.
It nibbles on its tasty leaves. A small respite in this cruel world. Then, it feels something soft, moist, near it. Instinctively, it flutters its wings - tries to. A silent *crack, which only it could hear, sounds out as the tendril wraps around it. It’s not the only one caught, though. At least three more of its swarm are now wrapped up.
Again, the batfly flutters its wings, but tangled up as it is, this action proves futile. It feels itself be consumed by the beast, feels itself get turned to liquid, how the cysts swallow it up. It sees how the creature falls again, how its swarm is let go. It lasts an eternity. It happens in a second.
Maybe, if it could, it’d feel proud to have saved some of its swarm from getting consumed. Maybe it’d feel fear, for what will come after death.
But, it does not. So, even as it gets consumed, it continues to hunger, as it always has.

[LIVE BROADCAST] PUBLIC Moss’s Luminous Arcane, Reaching Of Abyss, Extravagant Answers
ROA: - And then BS kept whining about his rot, like c’mon, that’s your fault for being such a shitty coder!
MLA: Pff, yeah.
[JOINED] SUBJECT: Extravagant Answers
MLA: Oh hello EA.
EA: MLA, have you sent a purposed organism to MW’s can? She disconnected from our private broadcast saying there was one trying to break into her can. The overseer also reported the usage of miros bird’s beaks, which live in Memory Crypts.
MLA: Woah, woah, woah, slow down! A purposed organism what-?
EA: It broke into her can and-
MLA: Alright, that’s all I needed confirmation of. Do you know what it looked like?
EA: I could only get a glimpse, but it was a dark colour.
ROA: Sounds like MLA’s failed experiment! Go on, tell ‘em MLA.
MLA: …
MLA: Alright, yes that is my purposed organism. But I didn’t send them to MW’s can, they escaped.
ROA: He even gave them a name! The Gloaming! How stupid does that sound?
MLA: It’s not stupid, ROA. I grew quite attached to the creature before they left me.
MLA: Here’s my advice, just wait. I’m quite away of MW being your only friend, but The Gloaming is my small, and can’t do much damage to MW, even with miros bird’s beaks by their side.
ROA: Yeah, but MW is all soft, and wouldn’t hurt a batfly, let alone a purposed organism.
[LEFT] SUBJECT: Extravagant Answers
MLA: I really hope The Gloaming doesn’t do much damage. I didn’t program them to be violent, just strong. Voids, I should’ve just watched them.

this is a squidcada! They are peaceful things found in the most random places: The most calm region in the game (sept when playing as hunter.) The most scary region in the game (Not the scarist when playing hunter, infact you start the game in the hardist region, here.) They will fly around and play with eachother for fun they watch over you sometimes, not caring much. They like small prey, like batflys... but also help you!! they are halfway aquatic so:
They will eat and steal leeches for you! they can also be grabbed to hold in your hands for gliding... however they become hostile. They cannot kill you. instead when hostile they will bump you off poles (maybe deadly but rarly) all they can really do to you. They are hunted by all predators.. BUT THEY FUCKING HATE AND BULLY GREEN Lizard's (no idea why they arent even from they're region) They will attempt to save you from wormgrass but... doesnt work..
their name reminds me of both squid & cicadas.. but to be fair theyre both bug & semi-aquatic, and it wouldnt be the first time rw bases their creatures off pre-existing animals so, there is a likwly chance they are actually based off both squids/cicadas (or something similar to them, anyways)
calm, peaceful, helpful (atleast, through attempts to help), & pretty cute i like em!! <0P
for now im going to completely ignore how it seems like the leeches are raining down from the sky im too sleepy for this. But it genuinely interests me how they are able to go underwater without damaging their wings in the process/it seems like theyre almost flying in the water.
Im just gonna assume we see it that way, but in reality they are either tucking their wings back & diving down in the water/up in the air before flying again, or somehow their wings double as flippers/fins/somethng like that!!
And why does it seem every living creature in this game just has a vendetta against green lizards WHAT DID RHEY DO?? scruffy &dirty yes, a bit basic but thats it!!! LEAVE THEM ALONE!!!!!!!!!!
also thinking/random ideas in my brain time… if slugcats were created for… well.cleaning pipes i think its fair enough to think that either these other creatures were also created for similar purpose, or theyre all weird evolutions of animals. anyways, going with the former, im thinking there mayyy just be a chance that some of the creatures here have robotic-parts/be part-robot or something else of that nature.
it would explain my previous question on how, for example, squidcadas are able to almost fly in the water!! & other things like how noodleflies have such long spear-like blades/stingers hidden in their snout, and how they are able to fit them in their body?? these things are floppy & flexible i dont have a single clue how they are fitting such a long, sharp, unbending thing in there without it being something able to retract into itself
i could be so unbelievably wrong but!! Dont have much to go with & these are just my current thoughts…. :03c
#also. you were right about how hunter does NOT get to go through this easy. EVER LOL. This game just WANTS them to have a horrible time#asks#myposts

have you ever made any purposed organisms
(The iterator doesn't seem to be in this broadcast, a simple screen of text taking her place. That, and a note that stated
'Yeah.. once. Here's the info. Do with it what you want- it's useless to me now.') The Caretaker - A large quadrupedal creature of no sex, equipped with thick, fluffy fur and four long limbs. They are seen with an intricate cartilage structure on their back that features many appendages to hold onto. It has sharp claws and special suction pads on the soles of their feet paired strong muscles made to scale even the most challenging of walls, and its long tail can take care of most dangers with ease. NOTE: Specifically tailored to reach into batfly nests or reach into towering trees for fruit.
Honey trees- Thick, tall, and sturdy trees specifically bred to bear a nutritious and sweet fruit that digests easily. Armed with smooth and solid bark that provides almost no foothold, it is difficult to get anywhere near its leaves. NOTES: Specifically tailored to be inaccessible by anything other than the equally towering heights of the Caretakers; Fruit does not fall on its own. It will keep growing on its thick stem until it is removed.
#ok so have fun with this#minor lore drop?#guess what these mfs are for i bet you cant!!!#(its sooo obvious)

Cover for 504 Farm Arrays Lane, a maybe-gonna-be-real comic based on my friend and I's Jolly Co-Op shenanigans! This is a heavily lore noncompliant slice of life/comedy AU. There's a little bit of character info under the cut! (The background patterns and Batfly are borrowed in-game graffiti)
504 Farm Arrays Lane is an apartment building housing slugcats, scavengers, and a single random entirely nonsapient vulture named Victor. Among its residents are the idiots extraordinaire and the stars of this AU: Bogos & Binted!
The Characters
Bogos (Lavender Spearmaster)- A jack of all trades and master of none, Bogos is a complete and utter incomptent idiot who deeply believes himself to not be one. He often attempts new hobbies and tries to create various inventions, which invariably ends in injuries due to critical oversights or overconfidence.
Binted (Green Survivor)- Binted is an ill-tempered Slugcat who was raised by garbage worms and carries a brick with him wherever he goes. He, unlike his roommate Bogos, has fully accepted that he's not terribly smart, and often sabotages Bogos's projects. This, however, usually leads to disaster for Binted more than anything.
Finger (Dark green Slugpup)- Finger is... something. They went to the Rubicon and back again, and are now hunting down Binted to take their revenge for an incident in which he backflipped Finger over the edge of a cliff on purpose. However, they're a 3 month-old slugpup, so there's really not much they can do.
Carrot (Orange Artificer)- Carrot lives in the apartment above Bogos & Binted's with her wife (also an artificer) and three slugpups (named Tax Benefit 1, Oops Forgot To Take Birth Control and Tax Benefit 4). She spends most of her time harassing happy couples and other peoples' slugpups with high explosives.
Spot (Caramel Lizard)- Spot is a stray Lizard who showed up at 504 Farm Arrays Lane. He usually loafs around on the lawn.

ALRIGHT HERE WE GO INTO THE OC EXPLAINY ZONE YOU CAN ASK THEM ANYTHING TOO IN THE ASKS BOX
My first OC is 6 golden stars.
(me about to load the OC lore)
(oh god)
6 Golden Stars was an iterator who woke up in the 1st waking period of dry world. He adored scavs, took their RW DNA and placed them on dry world, got convinced that the oldest iterator (who was given the title "Head Iterator" by the ancients), Sunset Dunes (not my OC!) was hiding information from the iterator populace and sent an announcement where he was....
...sort of bullied in private....
Then started stealing void fluid to use for his tests because Dry World has none or its a very small amount deep down in the core. Void fluid is in wells near/on every iterator can. He did this with the Inspector Class units.
The investigator was an air attack unit, used for dropping charged siphoner/examiner eyes. Siphoners were used for stealing void fluid. Examiners were used for ground attack/defence.
Sifters were used to repair the holes Metal Eating Batflies (SD made) in his superstructure. This plan failed.
Observers were floating signs to tell you to fuck off.
Scrutinizor missiles were missiles launched by a turret on the can.
Now, the metal eating batflies were painful, so he attacks SD, collapsing/melting his superstructure with the Examiners Teslas. (he still survives). As he looses his forces, 6GS wants to make a weapon that would win the war. Right as he is about to make it, one of his legs collapses and that disrupts the effort, breaking it free.
(typo here, in this image, i mean SD when i said 6GS)
(incase you are wondering why he can see the private messages, him collapsing made the system not recognize him as him for a second.)
The weapon was (god here we go) MIND CONTROL ROT. Its purpose was to keep SD and his buddies neutralised, but 6GS collapsed and set it free, mind controling HIM instead.
So everyone thinks 6GS is dead until he makes gibberish broadcasts to lure curious people in so their overseers can get rotted so then they can get rotted, because the rot wants to kill people.
Here comes Snow Reaches Soft Meadows (GOD THIS IMAGE IS SHIT HOW DID I MANAGE TO DRAW HIM SO BAD??????) (ONLY REFERENCE PICTURE OF OLD SNOW :sob:)
Snow was an iterator who wanted to explore 6GS dead corpse. Surprise surprise, he gets rotted, and now the rot has a host with a working factory.
Some time passes and an iterator by the name of Helix HNA (not my OC) makes a hypertumor to kill the rot. They are cured with some scars, 6GS is in shame, and quickly logs off the comms, while having occasional "seizures" where he thinks he is back in the rot again and immense pain and stuff. 6 golden stars is suffering, and thinks he deserved his collapse, so he wants noone to repair him.
Snow, on the other hand, continues on his work...
he has administrator status now.
Something i forgot to tell you: SRSM really liked spying, and keeping his ancient colony in check. He spied on them and crushed rebellions. One time, during the RW/DW indepedence war, he got to lead an entire faction and did horrible things.
He has that power back now.
As you would expect, he has gone full censory informationary 1984 mode.
He gives himself a new, upgraded puppet.
After some time, 6GS keeps speaking out and SRSM is very tired about that.
He factory resets him.
He fixes his can, gives him new clothes, new eyes, a backdoor that allows SRSM to survay him at all times and take control of him sometimes, and a wiped memory.
Now heres the promotion for Dry World RP server you can interact with SRSMS 1984 shenanigans right now!!! https://discord.gg/9sPdSWpbue
(Also 6GS has a GF already, SRSM has no GF)
(little dark age animatic coming soon tooo!!!!!! thats right little dark age (im surprised noone has done a rain world animatic of it tho wierd))

The Nightcat & The Monk!!!
A Shadow and his Kid!!!
some typed out info if it's hard to read;
one leg short, Monk lost a leg to a red lizard!
Monk is smaller than the average scug by a decent bit
Nightcat goes by He/They/it
Monk goes by He/They
Monk needs one more food pip than normal to rest for SOME reason
He's able to eat small bugs, and plants, like the baby centipedes and batflies, or the blue berries and lilypucks
Nightcat eats Large Meat, and- Monk's, life force! Don't tell Monk though, Nightcat doesn't do it on purpose...
Nightcat resembles Survivor somewhat!
He can also shapeshift into a variety of form, but his ears, eyes, and colors always remain
In broad daylight, Nightcat is stuck really being a shadow, not able to go far from Monk at all
In shade, Nightcat can get as big as the shade is! Fill it however he chooses to, and however much he chooses to
In underground/indoor areas, he's able to grow and shift and such same as with shade!
And at night, he's basically infinite! As big as the night is!! He can do anything
imagine being a lizard, seeing some one legged slugcat and thinking it's an easy meal, then suddenly the night itself picks you up, and you find yourself respawning in your den
Nightcat Group Drawing!
to celebrate (almost) 500 followers, I'm doing a nightcat group drawing!
the nightcats will be sat a campfire, roasting marshmallows, talking, stargazing, and just having fun! (the scene will be based off of outer wilds just for fun, but will not contain spoilers or need any knowledge of the game to understand anything, as it will quite literally just be a campfire hangout!)
entries will be open for the next 3 days, ending at 8PM eastern time on Wednesday, so reblog this post with your nightcats!
any type of nightcat works! anthros or feral, whichever you prefer
after that time has passed I will not be taking any more nightcats, and will probably post the collection of nightcats I have so people can check if I missed theirs or not
I will take my time drawing the full group drawing! it may take a while depending how many entries there are and how overloaded with schoolwork I get, but I will get there eventually! in the end product all nightcat designs will be credited
and I think that's it! have fun! feel free to ask questions if something is a bit confusing
