I mean between the poisoned comet balls and beating up the Toa Metru with the sporting arena when he was disguised as Dume, Teridax has a pattern of fucking with people through athletics in some form.

I think one of the funniest things in Bionicle is the fact that Teridax knows how to play kolhii. And it’s even funnier cause it’s not like the original kolhii, it’s the newer version they based on Hewkii’s use of the fishing net to save Macku.

I think it’s a given that he spies on the matoran and all that, but it’s kind of funny to me that he must have done it enough to learn the rules and how to play.

Bonus headcannon: he gets a little too invested in it and is convinced he’d be so good at it! So when Takanuva shows up to battle him he proposes the kolhii match instead because finally he has a chance to try it out. But also maybe he was spying on the Ta-Ga-Po match and saw Takua’s fuck up and was just like, “Wtf kind of dumbass move was that, I could beat him.”
