Okay, that's it. This fandom is killing me. I am writing this at night because I just cannot stay silent anymore, sorry if my text seems messy...

Haters constantly bully me on insta, tiktok, twitter and youtube, calling me names and saying how wrong I am to ship father and son, while they are really NOT, now tell me about harassing and spreading lies about Hank and Connor's relationships.

Most of them are g9 stans. On tik tok I get tons of comments on my hankcon vids about how better this ship is than hankcon.

Since 2020 when I first came here and even now I am bullied by reed stans and faher/son fans. And I must admit it was really hard not to give up and leave this fandom as a lot of people/other hankcon shippers did and still do when they understand where they've landed.

This fandom is a nest of wild wasps that will sting you to death unless you either run away or side with the majority.

Which made me to assume that this is basically the goal of all hankcon haters. To make us, hankcon shippers, leave, otherwise I have no idea why I got so many nasty comments within the first months of my arrival here including death threats.

Like, oh, look, there is a another new hankconny who dared to speak about her love towards hankcon openly, who dared to stand for this nasty nasty ship openly, lets bully her so she leaves in tears!

And it happens even now. When a newcommer enters the fandom and is a hankcon shipper, or just considers to become one, they immediately start bullying. They immediately try to impose on the newcomer their vision of Hank and Connor's relationship and to impose the ship, which they consider better.

Therefore, the newcommers either run away or change the ship, that seems to be more convenient in this fandom.

WelI, I am not the majority.

There are no saints in this fandom, everyone, to one degree or another, did not behave like an adult, myself included. I have made misakes too, I can admit it. But nothing happens without a reason. Because when you get bullied for a ship that you love madly, the ship that is the most normal and natural, the ship that is something bright and right, something real, sooner or later your patience will snap and you'll break.

Which happened to me as well. Nothing to be proud about, but it wasn't me who started this.

But for some reason I am sure that the number of immature people among the hankcon shippers is much less than the number of hankcon haters.

And this was a reason why I stayed: I love HankCon. I'm not ashamed to admit it out loud. I stand for it because it is the only true thing in this fandom, the only true relationships we saw in a game (beside the obvious Markus and North ship). Not something other people came up with looking at HankCon.

SO once again, tell me about harassing. Of course people would feel defensive. If you do not like the ship, why don't you just ignore the characters? Yet you chose to do something else. What respect are you asking for if you yourself twist Hank and Connor's personalities for your own joy instead of just ignoring them? Can't you just enjoy your ship without bringing Hank and Connor on?

Or it brings you joy to be a "goog guy" here by being like "oh, look, I see them as father and son, I am not like those nasty incest shippers, I see Hank and Connor the right way and I ship the right ships!"? That's how it looks like.

You even started you post with "I don't like hankcon. I see them as father and son". Which is already disrespectful. While they are not. Would you be ok if someone started such post abou your ship this way? I kinda doubt it.

There was a post here recently where someone tried to praise other ships while insulting hankcon on hankcon tag just because this person was bullied on tik tok for saying they understand why people ship hankcon. That is, in the end, this person simply decided to take the side of the majority by attacking hankcon instead of just ignoring bullies.

And it happens all the time.

Tell me about harassing again.

If I collected all the comments with insults from the haters and g9 stans, I would already have a couple of thousand at least.

Fortunately, I learned to tell haters to fuck off.

Nope, you used main tag where your complains could be seen by the whole comunity and where I've seen hem too. This was done for a reason.

No, you don't, you impose it as father and son relationships. Had you really ignored it, you woudln't have seen them this or other way at all.

And you are exactly the hater that pretends to be a good guy who is really not. Do not like the ship? Ignore the characters, yet you use them in a way to expose yourself as someone better than nasty hankcon shippers. That's how it looks like.

Hi. Let me make something clear.

I don't like hankcon. I see them as father and son. However. I will never go out of my way to harass hankcon fans, and I never have. I have the tag blocked, and if I see the content, I kindly scroll away. I ignore it. I would never go to a hankcon fan's account, or their post, and harass them. Because believe it or not, ships are fictional, and there's real people behind those accounts. I don't confuse the two.

There was a good amount of time last year that hankcon fans were coming onto my blog, onto my posts, and harassing me. And it fucking sucked, because I had no friends on tumblr back then, no one to stick up for me, and I just got a lot of hate. So I stood up for myself. Sometimes in, admittedly, immature ways. Some people currently judge me for that, and claim I brought hostility to hankcon fans. When in actuality, they brought it to me first.

I'm not saying this to place blame. People get really defensive of their ships, and for some reason some see my Hank and Connor father and son content as a personal attack. It's not. It's just what I enjoy.

I'm saying all of this to emphasise that I would never ever bring hostility to someone else for what they ship, and it's hurtful that people think I would. If I don't like it, I don't interact with it. I mind my business. And I ask that the same respect be granted to me. And that you not just blindly take the side of your fellow shippers and unfairly judge me for standing up for myself, especially in a time when I had no one to do it for me.

I wish people who wrote this nonsense played the game themselves or at least admitted they didn't like the ship because of the age gap, which would be at least honest and understandable, because yeah, age gap is not for everyone. But calling it incest? Just because Hank called Connor "son"? Okay, let me use this then.

And saying people who are shipping this after playing the game have a problem?

And many others who see the chemistry and do not care about visual age gaps. Who saw the chemistry between them, a real one, and not based on other people's headcanons with no canon basics.

And now about incest. I have a feeling that the person who wrote it all is a teen.

And now I'll bring up something I've already did.

Incest is human sexual activity between family members or close relatives. A psychiatric disorder.

Connor is modeled after a human male in his 30s.

He and Hank are not related. I mean, if hanckon is incest (despite the fact that two adult adequate people are involved in the paring), then according to this logic, any pairing with Connor and with any android will be... not healthy?

Like, they usually say that the disparity in their physical age is too large!

And actually there’s no such thing when it comes to an otherwise (if depicted as such) wholesome and equal relationship. The only thing people have to deal with then, is their own prejudice and biases.

Connor is an adult, not a teenager or a child, who is shipped with Hank, also an adult person with whom he had the most powerful chemistry. Do people really not understand that their logic doesn't work?

Hank and Connor had strong partner/buddy cop/enemies relationships.

And speaking about reed900 and reed800 that person mentioned. It is understandable they ship them because both ships look like any standart ship they probably got used to, two young guys making out and so on... but they forget that these ships are based only on headcanons people created with no actual dynamics or chemistry in the game. No, there isn't any, both take a lot after Hank and Connor. Yet it is hankcon shippers who have problems?

Maybe it is YOU who have to think a bit before writing things about something you do not understand?

It is easy to ship characters whose chemistry and dynamic is based on people's fantasies or characters that are visually young and appealing (but who never met in the game or had nothing butseveral abusive moments between them) than between characters that you personally don't like on the outside but who are the only ones who had real chemistry. But once again, this is nothing but your own biases and uncertainties.

So everything you've just said is ridiculous.

Idk what to think about that, they are not the same person (like Daniel & Simon, same model different person) so I don't think it's that weird and being the same model don't stop you from dating each other so I don't think it's incest?
