one of my favorite kinds of books is when an author comes up with something unhinged like, “what if the animal people from The Island of Dr. Moreau were in a boy band in 2001…and then they got involved in a murder mystery?”

That’s literally what the Album of Doctor Moreau is about. and it’s amazing.

I’m only like a third through reading Harrow the 9th, and while I have a million theories about Plot, the more important thing to post about right now is how Harrow’s got such a lesbian’s relationship with “father figures,” especially re:John.

rn I’m obsessed with this audiobook I’m listening to that’s an adaptation of Sherlock Holmes where Holmes is a fucking warlock and an idiot. And his name….is Warlock Holmes.

John Watson: dear god how did you know all of that about me

Warlock Holmes, the warlock, who was just told all of this info by the demon Moriarty speaking through his fleshbody: [sweating] uhhh….observation?
