I’m really enjoying The Unsleeping City in large part because it is just so full of love and care and attention toward New York City, my first hometown (okay fine we moved to the suburbs when I was little but it wasn’t too far. the city still means a lot to me). They really know the space, fully embody it in a way that is neither mocking nor overly romanticized. It’s just New York. And I love that damn city, and you can tell they do too
