The planet Psychlo has been over mined for its minerals, making its core unstable. This has caused a dangerous phenomenon in its atmosphere - when exposed to trace amount of radioactivity the atmosphere become explosive. The Psychlos are aggressive and cruel. They explore the galaxy for precious metals and enslave planets. They are unable to breath the air on Earth and need special breathing units. Source: “Battlefield Earth” book 1982, film 2000
