#repression ditched void for psychic and that's how we got dee /j /silly#psychic is very hypocritical; motivated by his own self preservation which is actually what drives his devotion to the dearests i think#he overlooks the fact that he's perpetuating the same institutions he feels scorn for. in both fnf and canon. working for corruption.#he knows he's doing it and he has a choice to stop. but he chooses not to; he chooses to stay with his master out of love and security#he actively doesn't think about it bc it's easier. he's after his own comfort subconsciously; it's just that he also genuinely cares about#his family now. they Are what he's so selfish over.#does this make sense? idk#his selflessness is specific and self-motivated in itself. because he started out working for his master as a means to-#-get the hell out of hell. it's not an evil kind of selfishness btw; it's just psychic being motivated to find a purpose and be content-#-because that's all he ever really wanted. he prioritizes Them over everything else and boyfriend may or may not be included#at psychic's convenience.#he's a troubled and complicated individual and i've always struggled pinning him down with words#but i think this is smth#he represses the thoughts that he could do better; be more involved; because this is where he feels safest; it fulfills his basic desires#and that's enough for him#anyway i have homework bye#lightgriffinsect express#fnf psychic
