He tossed and turned in his slumber, wincing as his injuries were pressed on,

His fight with Aether had left him more than injured this time, the hesitation he displayed playing a part in giving the prince an opening. So here he was, wrapped in bandages and ointments, clinging onto the one source of comfort he had, 

He had no right to do this, he knew as much appearing at their doorstep in the dead of night injured and weak. It felt like taking advantage of their kindness, even if he knew that they would let him time and time again.

The last argument was the worst they'd ever had, fueled by worry on both sides and instead of resolving this like the mature adult that he was, he did what his emotions told him, he left, giving them a kiss as they slept before disappearing into the night.

Screams echoed into the night, blades and magic clashing as he fought only to end up repeating it, over and over like a cycle, 

Fight, return, leave, fight, return, leave, fight, return, leave,

And yet here he was, repeating this cycle and leaving them hurt over and over again. All while wallowing in his own thoughts, trapped in his own dreams… haunted by a familiar figure.

“You know, when I saw what your future would be, I never imagined this.” his brother snarked, appearing in his dreams like an unwanted pest.

“What are you doing here?” He hissed, hands twitching for a sword he knew was nowhere in this dream, eyes sharp looking forwards towards the person he had spent years looking up to, and centuries despising.

The smirk never left Vedrfolnir's face, eerie purple crystals swirling around him as little shards of what has happened, what will happen and what is happening surrounded his form,

“Poor soul really, an artist, a chef, an adventurer, they could've lived a normal life had you not entered their life.” His brother continued on, taking a shard and placing it up to his eye.

“So many possibilities, and yet wherever you're involved, it ends up in misfortune for them.”

“Look at them here in this crystal, married, happy and safe.” A dark laugh, “but here they are in this one, stuck tending, waiting for you to return.”

“Stop it..” 

“Ah, here, growing old, surrounded by family and friends, a life well lived, but without you.” 

He tries to lunge at him, finding himself restrained in his own dreams,

“Or this one, following you into an Abyss Order hideout, dead, because you were too busy fighting the prince rather than paying attention.”

“And they stay there as you rush after the prince, forgotten and left to rot.”

“Shut your mouth-” 

Abyssal fog covers his vision, as he makes out the echos of his brother's voice.

“...best thing you can do for them is to leave you know, i say this as your brother.” 

He wakes with a startle, pain shooting through his limbs as the sun bears down through the open curtains.

They aren't there beside him, their spot cold and blanket tussled, his hear hammers in his throat, fear gripping his every breath as every moment without their presence ticks by,

Only after the smell of breakfast comes through the door does the pounding in his heart settle, they haven't left him, they're safe.

He gingerly leaves the bed, opening the door to see their form setting the table for breakfast, hoping that this is the one outcome where his involvement in their life leads to happiness.

We met while he was doing his duties as the darknight hero, I was just finishing up a commission before i was attacked by some treasure hoarders. He stepped in to help me defeat them, we exchanged pleasantries, and ended up running into each other in the city again.

Dainsleif:

We met while i was exploring in Mondstat, i was fighting some hilichurls and abyss mages before he stepped in and helped leading both of us into finding an Abyss order hideout, after we managedto get out we went our separate ways for a bit. Then we met again during one of my commissions. He apparently sensed an 'divine or otherworldly' aura around me....

Surely it's nothing to worry about :)

Kamisato Ayaka:

We met during one of the Inazuma festivals, i bumped into her and apologized. I offered to make it up to her, and she accepted. It seems like she was happy because she got to celebrate the festival with someone who treated her normally. Now we exchange letters on the regular.

Al Haitham:

I was commissioned by the Adventurer's Guild in Sumeru to join an expedition into the desert. He was part of it as well for job reasons. After the expedition, we ended up running into each other in Sumeru city over and over until we just became friends.

Diluc: Words of affirmation, he likes using petnames and giving light praises, while we work around the manor and winery, Adelinde and the rest of the staff are happy that i can bring a smile to their usually stoic employer.

Me: Physical touch, i love giving him hugs, yes he's warm but I'm a Filipino, i can handle it. And he makes a great cuddling partner on cold nights. A perfect weighted and heated embrace? Sign me up.

Daisy:

Dain: Quality time, he's always out exploring and battling the Abyss order so when he does pop up he makes sure to clung to me like a koala desperate puppy.

Me: Physical touch again lol, i just let him cling to me, i know he needs it, he always tells me i have a 'soothing aura' that helps with his curse... he's probably just exagerating :)

Psyaka:

Ayaka: Words of affirmation and quality time, since she lives in Inazuma she makes sure to send me things in the mail and when i do manage to visit we spend lots of time together just walking around and bying eachother matching things.

Me: Acts of service, I'm getting good at cooking so i cook her a bunch of dishes from other nations, when i found out how much she wanted to taste food from outside Inazuma.

Psytham:

Al Haitham: Words of affirmation, he knows like 20 different languages. He'd probably teach me some of the words and recite me some lovely poems. Other times he just gives a small peck on the cheek and a 'Good morning, glad i woke up next to you today' as he gets ready for work.

Me: Quality time and Acts of service, when he doesn't have work we just spend time cuddling as he reads to me. And i always cook him meals and sometimes bring them to him at the Akademiya if he forgets them.

A/n: writers block hit, now I'm still plotting the story for the deathless series sooo.... I'll just be posting some self ship stuff while i think.

Psy, I might have sent something similar in the past but you know how I believe Dainsleif's mask is actually abyssal corruption. Imagine the mask slowly growing as it starts to cover more of his face. Imagine dainsleif's fully corrupted form. Psy you are there trying to bring him back. Maybe after helping him he slowly starts to change back into his old self pre abyss in appearance.

1. what roles do you and your f/o fall into (alpha/beta/omega/etc.)? what’s the dynamic like between you?

like previously shown i'm an Enigma,

Ayaka and Dain are Omegas,

Diluc (both of them) and Fell dragon! Neuvi are Enigmas

Al Haitham is an Alpha and Canon Neuvi is a beta

11. when did you first “present”? did everyone always know what you were, or was it a surprise?

presented at 18 like everyone else, they all thought i was an alpha until a doctor confirmed that i was an Enigma. It came as a big shock to my adoptive parents but life didn't change that much.

All of them presented at 18,

Diluc's family were mostly Alphas and Enigmas with a few betas and omegas so it was no surprise when he presented.

Ayaka's mother hoped that she wouldn't be an omega so she would have an easier time being respected by the other commission members, but would've been happy with her secondary gender regardless.

No one was surprised that Al Haitham presented as an Alpha, because 'of course someone in the position of Scribe would be an Alpha, we wouldn't give that to some omega or Beta' the moment he became grand sage he revoked the restrictions on Betas and Omegas getting good positions in the Akademiya

The moment that dain presented was a surprise, because many thought he would be an Alpha, only the 5 sinners and his former (mostly dead?) squad mates knew, and he tries to pass off as a beta by using suppressants.

to keep it short, they are VERY very possessive, They would keep me on a leash at home if they could. (Fatui Diluc- ahem)

He told Thoma to put some around the estate, mainly Ayaka's section of the house, ["It promotes holiday spirit does it not?"] knowing damn well that me and Ayaka always walk together, or with me holding her hand and leading her through narrower doorways.

So after a wonderful day of exploring the city and playing in the snow, we return to see the estate silent, walking through the gate towards her section of the house, til we spot it.

Right above us.

After what seems like an eternity of awkward blushing and staring, I ask her is she's alright with it, giving her a chaste kiss after she says yes, swiftly hiding her face behind her fan afterwards.

We stand there a little longer as she asks for more kisses.

Ayato teases her once he finds out.

Haiscio: He makes the first move.

Haitham would definitely put some around the house at Kaveh's suggestion pestering, ["you need to be more festive!"] not really caring about the whole 'kissing under the mistletoe' thing until i spend the holidays with him one year.

Suddenly Kaveh is told to spend Christmas with Cyno ,Tighnari and Collei, lest he accidentally ends up under the mistletoe with me.

Which is also good for Kaveh, since... things other than kissing was bound to happen.

The first time it happens, he acts so smug about it, acting like it's such a coincidence that we went through the door at the same time. Even asking if I planned it. Though he will eventually relent and give me a kiss.

It happens far more often after that, even without mistletoe anywhere near the both of us.

Adelinde and Elzer are the culprits.

After all, there was never a need for mistletoe around the winery in the past after Diluc took over, well... until he brought me to the winery. Suddenly the place has more mistletoe than you can count, even the doors have more than one.

Diluc definitely feels flustered about it, and the looks he's getting from Elzer and Adelinde are not helping him in the slightest. He walks around the manor and tries to avoid looking at it.

Too bad, one night after dinner i come with him to his office and walk through the hallway with him and boom, the doorframe is covered, i mean covered in mistletoe.

He stands there, face as red as his hair, knowing that it's unavoidable, awkwardly asking if it'll be alright before i roll my eyes and kiss him myself.

The blush on his face matches the poinsettias in the vases.

And you best believe that Kaeya hears about this the next time he visits.

Neuscio: He make the first move.

He knew the melusines were planning something, well Seigewinne probably told them honestly.

It started with more holiday decorations in the Palais Mermonia, poinsettias decorating the tables, pillars and such. Then it started, the mistletoes covering the doorways and walls. Soon everything was covered in them.

And after a particularly busy day, we return to his section of the Palais.

The doorframe has some mistletoe taped to it, whoever put it there clearly couldn't reach the top, and the few poorly hidden Melusines giggling in behind a corner quickly showed what was up.

After a short conversation with them, sending them off with a smile, he asked me what the deal was with the mistletoe,

Safe to say that i got a lot of nice kisses.

Honestly it was a surprise to both of us.

After a while of adventuring, we decided to stay in Wangshu Inn instead of camping in the woods, what we didn't realize is that they had decorated for the holidays.

Before settling into the room, fixing our things and patching up any wounds. We headed towards the dining area and had dinner, only when we returned did we notice it.

With an amused sigh from him and a dopey smile on my face, i teasingly asked him for a kiss, to which he playfully refused,

I burst out laughing, before pulling him for a kiss, dragging him into out room to get a little more festive... we paid for one bed, we're using that one bed.

Well they are all very busy people, and mostly stay within their nations and try their best to come home at least monthly(Dain, Capitano, Mavuika)

so they are all very civil,

until of course....

cuddle time, THAT is when chaos happens, Ayaka already has a set place so for those who are left it's a fight, if on the rare occasion all of them are there Neuvi and Capitano come up with a good rotation for who gets to be on the left side of me.

Me: signs that they know is complaining about the temperature, general clinginess, my hands get stained with ink from trying to draw out my frustrationsfantasies a and they just feel me staring at them whenever we're in close proximity,

Ayaka: she gets tired, trying to stave off the heat with her cryo due to this she usually tells thoma that she will be retiring for the week and sends me a letter so i can get there to care for her ofc she also gets clingy, hungrier and basically takes the time as a moment to stop being the princess of Inazuma.

Al haitham: checks his calendar and gives Kaveh the heads up, takes his pto, after that he gets to preparing, bringing out his water. snacks and the pile of books he wants me to read during after care, he also starts leaving out more of my clothes, i'll just come home to him cuddled into my cape.

Diluc (canon and fatui): he gets bitey, waking me up with more bites than kisses, also having a larger appetite, the moment he gets the sense that his rut is coming all the staff just vanish, caretakes come and go but other than that the manor is like a ghost town, he also stops wearing so many layers when it hits, just so it's easier.

Dainsleif: moment he senses it he's reaching for the suppressors, and most of the heats he spends with me is because he got hurt. anyways he tried to shrink into himself, attempting to rip off the bandages and other things to get rid of the extra layers of his body, ending up with him being tired and mouthy, since his whole brain is focused on the fact that he's hurt and its so warm.

Neuvi (canon and fell dragon): canon does not get into heats, so he just helps me with mine,

fell dragon au though, he starts coming by to see me more often, leaving his scales and shells he found at my house, before straight up carrying me to his little treasure cave for the week, he already has one of the melusines put a letter on my dinner table for Furina or Wrio to find so they don't get worried.

All of us: on my/their neck

Ayaka and Neuvi (canon and fell dragon au): my wrists, they both like holding my hand and kissing it, esp in the FD!au after i go blind he never lets go of my hands and runs his claws over my knuckles,

Dain and Al Haitham: my forehead, many, many forehead kisses and placing their head ontop of mine while we sleep,

Diluc (both canon and fatui au): my back and shoulders, does not go a single morning or night without peppering my back and shoulders with kisses and a bite or two… or three.

9. how do you and your f/o deal with a heat/rut? does one trigger the other?

Ayaka: we close off her area of the estate and i let her just hold me down into the nest, caring for her while i slowly get her settled for the rest of the week to be pampered. Same thing for me as well, making sure there's a steady application of cryo onto my forehead. 

Hers usually triggers mine as well.

Al Haitham: he has a well built system and tracks his ruts, making sure to kick kaveh out whenever they strike. He usually keeps me pressed into the nest bed, and has me read him books when in downtime, but the rest of the time we take turns, 

If im not there he'll use a scented item i left so he can wait for me.

Dainsleif: this man is usually on suppressants, it's annoying to go into heat while chasing the Abyss order and while he can't use the old Khaenri'ahn methods he does get a good perscription from Bubu pharmacy, due to this his heats are intense, intense, going for longer than usual and leaving me scrambling to care for him the whole time.

He meticulously checks his supply bag every time he can, and is always apologetic after his heats when i collapse next to him.

Diluc (both fatui and canon): definitely uses suppressants as well, esp while at work, as the Darknight Hero and at fatui meetings, but when the opportunity allows it, he just lets his instincts go, the entire rut is spent in the nest, not even his closest servants are allowed to be in the manor, they treat it like a vacation too, and with his letting his instincts go, i do too, so both of us look like we got mauled to hell and back the moment we leave the rut haze and for the fatui au, it’s not the end, he still has to pull me back in.

The fatui au takes more than he gives tbf, and i like just letting him sink into bliss while i give him the TLC he’s been missing due to the Fatui.

Neuvillette (canon): he blocks out the week that i have my rut, making sure to take great care of me, using hydro to soothe the rising temperature, and even is he doesn’t go into heat or rut, he still has a season, so if my rut falls into that he makes sure to get everything ready, instead of a nest he places me in a nice pool, manipulating the water just how i want it. Half dragon form is always out the moment my rut starts,

Very mindful, very demure.

Neuvillette (fell dragon au): due to being imprisoned for 500 years, he’s had to get accustomed to the things he needs to do for my rut, a slow and steady process, but after a few years he knows what to do, taking me to his little hoard pool-cave within Elynas, tail keeping me there, as we spend both our ruts there, my blood mixing into the water as he drinks it in.

Just, feral man, with no filter due to not having the time to develop one.

augh... time to talk about my forgotten hubby, Dain, and my 2nd fave diluc,

❌ did either of you ever try to get rid of your feelings for the other?

Luscio - oh yeah both of us tried our best, honestly everyone thought we actually fucking hated each other. no both of us are just emotionally inept.

Daisy - he did, and by god did he try, but i am persistent and oblivious.

🚫 what was holding you/them back from making a move or confessing your feelings?

Diluc - His whole issue with the fatui mostly, he didn't want me being used against him and harmed in the process, also he's just never had the time to think about feelings in the middle of his dad dying and the decade he spent in Dottore's... care.

Dain - The abyss order. Same reasons as Diluc honestly.

🏁 if not at the same time, who started pining first? how long until it became mutual (if ever)?

Diluc - me, to be fair i am a little 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴 and in my au our first meeting was his pinning me to a wall and interrogating me, and the next up close one was him cornering me in a forest and straddling me.

Dain - again... me, but ofc being an oblivious little shit i didn't realize he liked me back for the longest fucking time.

Diluc - he would get his fatui agents to watchstalk me so he could know what i liked, reluctantly got Diona to help too.

Dain - if we ended up running into each other we'd camp together, he always made sure to keep me safe while i slept and after making sure i really was asleep, play with my hair before carrying me to my tent and tucking me into my sleeping bag.

i have to make this simple and split it between hsr and genshin aaaa

Genshin: yes we do, i have my snake and some of them have their own pets too.

Ayaka: she used to be scared of Azael, but after a while she warmed up to my pet and makes sure there's a nice pillow for her to rest on and sunbathe

Diluc: he has a pet hawk, and was hesitant to let them interact, after all they are both predator animals, but they get along quite well.

Al Haitham: he acts like one of those dads who don't want a cat but end up loving it more than they love you, it helps that he was there i found Azael.

Neuvillette: he finds Azael very cute and makes sure to have a space for her to sunbathe in his office

Dainsleif: he is very indifferent to Azael, and would prefer not to have any pets :((

Star rail: for some no, but others yes

Sunday: let's be honest, we'd both be too busy to care for a pet, like maybe a cat or a small bird would be good

Aventurine: we have the cat cakes i think that's enough tbh

Ratio: one (1) cat and it would be named Aristotle or something, very pampered with heavily nutritious diets, Veritas would have a dedicated chart on what kinds of food and when to feed the cat

Argenti: he goes off too much :((( so no pets, but he is a plant dad
