Thoughts on William Miles? I was listening the Assassin’s Creed Lorecast podcast and one of hosts always talks about how much she hates him. I wont forget how he punched Desmond in face :/

I do not think he was a good father, I do not like him but also I do not think after hearing Desmonds voicemails I hate him as much as I did before.

maybe not a good comparison but...think of the Abuela in Enchanto who everyone was like "she needed to be punished more she sucks!! how can they forgive her??" when Mirable and Bruno forgave her. The thing is, no matter what, she was their family, and she was tough bc she thought tough love was what kept the family afloat after all that happend and for kids; letting go of family when they show they are capable of change even the tiniest bit is hard especially for ethnic families. Most kids want to hear a "I am sorry I was wrong" rather than revenge and they are drawn to hope of "maybe they will change" like a moth into the flame.

I think Desmond is in a similar boat, he knows that his dad sucks and how he was raised was fucked but he also longs for his family and what they could be. You can see their convos change once Desmond saves Will. Will softens a bit more even his emails show it once he realizes he might die there and I think that hit Desmond hard as well as Will. Same thing when Desmond asks if Will searched for him and Will replied with "everyday" you could see that He misses his father, it takes a lot for a person to fully give up on their family and Will stepping one step onto his side gives him hope he cant let go of.

He is an abusive father 100% but I dont think he abused Desmond just to abuse him, He is basically a military general having to juggle so many stuff he does not know how to be anything else. He probobly was raised in somewhat similar manner and thinks tough love is what will make Desmond survive. "Let him hate me if thats what gets him to fight/live/listen" is probobly what his brain is wired to and at one point he forgot his fatherhood so much it turned worse.

It is not healthy, it does not excuse the stuff he did but explains. I understand the people that hate him and maybe dont agree with me 100%. I also hate that he even dared to get physical w Desmond!

As I said he is not a good man but I also understand why Desmond is willing to forget and forgive, he lived thru so much his dad punching him probobly doesnt make it to top 10, cutting off family is hard and Desmond already did that once! people usually constantly look for small reasons to stay connected, + Desmond while going thru all of this kidnapping/mindgames/fights/brainmelt/bleedingeffect probobly did not want to also lose his father again since its one of his few safeish constants.

I also dont think Desmond would ever let it all get swept under the rug if he lived, he would hold his father acountable for many things and look for explanations. The talk probobly would go for hours and they would have many shouting matches and who knows how it would end but I'd like to think they could begin repairing their relationship

Long story short I do not like him, Id probobly cheer if Desmond punched him back but I also dont think he hated Desmond or didnt love him. He loved him but how he showed his love to protect him was wrong and abusive. It did more harm than good as tough love approach usually does.

thanks to whoever responded and to the original acc that made this. i have been researching all the internet because its been fucking weird.

i have been noticed too many little flies around my room —which makes no sense bc my room is clean as fuck and i live in the south hemesphere so flies are not so common, more mostiquitos— and then 4/5 days ago enters this giant moth in my room.

the first night i noticed something coming and messing with my hair but then i looked around and saw nothing so i thiught i was just crazy.

second night i see her but i was already in bed and ready to sleep so i was like “please let me sleep, dont move around, will get you out tommorrow” and she dissapeared.

the following day i didnt see her anymore, thought it was gone but at night she came back.

third night goes around and the same it happens.

but then last night — i have been in a terrible mood— she appeared again and i was like PLEASE LEAVE. thiught she did but nope. so then i tried to kill it—i think this was a huge mistake— and my mom came around to help me scort the moth out.

i thought she did and went to sleep. i woke up at 3 am ( hungry and i have lots of sleeping problems) and after a while i see that the moth is still in my room.

after i tried to kill it and tried to fell asleep i saw a huge red light and i was like mhmmmmmmmmmmmm

now its 4:30, cant make any noise and dont know where the moth is.

ps: i have an eletric raquet and i tried to kill it with i think i hit her once and slammed her quite a bit. she didnt die —obviously.

soo... a lot has happend in my life since my last post, this place is going to be like my little heaven, the place i can take every word out of my mind, cause i heard somewhere that thats healthy. 

So here it goes...

Firstly i would like to make a quick summary of the past few moths, i got a boyfriend (surprisingly i know) and he is just the sweetest man alive he makes me feel at ease in this hell of a world and its so nice to know that if you fall you have someone to help you stand, and ive been falling a lot believe me, i also applied for the uni of my dreams but unfortunately i didnt get accepted, the minute the news got to my moms ears she got so mad and right now she isnt talking to me. Then i decided to apply again (i know im crazy for doing this) but this uni has been my dream since i was 9, so i have my reasons for trying.

But my mom is putting a lot of pressure on me, that i need to study harder, that im not doing my best, that my boyfriend is dristracting me a lot, and i could go along telling you the reason my mom thinks im useless but that might bore you to death.

Any way my axiety has been no help, and being on the verge of a panick attack with your mom yelling at you is not easy. So trying to control it has been hella difficult.

i dont even know what im saying anymore, maybe im losing my mind, maybe i just need to see someone professional, or maybe i need to give up (still deciding wich option is best)

Someone else hit my car while it was parked. It was very cut-and-dry. I got a police report, the officer talked to the driver. It states that my car was legally parked and the other driver is at fault. The damage is minor rear bumper damage, nothing too terrible. I filed with his insurance company, and after a lot of frustrating phone tag, an insurance adjuster came out and wrote me an estimate for $450. I had an adjustment for $734 from the local body shop for my make of car, and I showed it to him. I expressed my dissatisfaction with this estimate, and he said the body shop would settle with the insurance company directly for costs in excess of the estimate. $300 is a little much. Since it's minor damage, I think the body shop will probably take the money and do a shoddy job on the car. It's my understanding they are supposed to repair my car to pre-accident conditions. The majority of my driving will be errands around town, and driving the 117 miles back home occasionally to visit family. Low insurance, high gas mileage, and safety are top priorities. I've got about $15,000 to spend on the car. I will have a part time job to pay insurance/gas/etc. So far the only car that appeals to me is the 2010+ Mazda3 because it has a nice exterior, and I love the interior and features compared to other small cars. it was about 2:30am when the vehicle was stolen, the police was called and they came out to the scene. they gave me a file number. Later in the a.m i called the Insurance and reported the auto theft i gave all the current information my statement was being recorded. The insurance inspector came out to inspect the vehicle on Tuesday theyre were alot of damage inside out. He said it was about $4,000.00 worth of damage. It maybe was going to be total loss. I went ahead and called the adjustor to follow up on the inspection he then said he gave my claim to a investigator for further review. I mention to him that my vehicle is at my house when it should be in the tow yard, that it seems they are lacking holding off in helping me with this situation. He was rude and continue to tell me to wait for a phone call. Today 5/2/2014 a claim investigator called me stating that it was a coincidence that i worked for a auto body shop and my vehicle being stolen recently. I got really upset i told her me working at a shop doesnt have nothing to do with my car being stolen. I told her I was going to seek help thru a lawyer and hanged up the phone. I was in an accident where someone side swiped me ($5.5k worth of damage). Their insurance company paid and I just got my car back (2007 Lexus IS 250 - 29k miles).
