Long time no nails...

Hey guys!

I know I've been extremely absent from tumblr in the last few weeks. There has just been the odd, non nail related, reblog. I'm sorry, BUT I have sort of an explanation for it.

In short: life and computer software!

It kinda started with my granddad turning 90 (!) which took up about two weeks of my life, for various reasons. But, you know, it's a big deal and just slightly more important than nail polish. Just a bit.

After that I wanted to catch with "Lacke in Farbe... und bunt!". (I've been putting every week's colours on my nails throughout all of this.) But my computer apparently felt ignored and decided to freeze my picture editing software everytime I did more than open a file in it... which is super great for blogging! *so much sarcasm right now*

What I need to do now is find the software CD (yes, I'm from the dark ages), for another program that I have stored somewhere, get rid of the stuff that's currently on my computer, install the CD, adapt my watermark templates to the new stuff and edit like an insane person. *sigh*

All very doable BUT I need to have the time for it and have to be awake enough to deal with shouting at my computer! I find, you need to be in the right mood for technical problems, otherwise you just might throw the thing against a wall. You know what I mean?

And here come the excuses! For one, it's been really hot in Germany until this weekend which always means not enough sleep for me. Not good. The other problem is that on weekends, when I could nap and have the time, so much stuff has been going on! Everything seems to be alive all of a sudden. Gardening and artist bear shows, special museum exhibits, village festivals... you name it! And I have been having a great time, don't get me wrong, but this blogging problem won't get solved that way, sadly.

I promise I'm not gone. And I will try to get my technology to cooperate soon. I have soooo much stuff saved up! So please bear with me and we'll talk nail art soon!

In the mean time I will join the little #proudrepost thing that's been going on on my dash. Meaning, I'll reblog old designs that I still like and you can look at those again!
