Park Woojin Boyfriend AU!
request: boyfriend park woojin?
so this is a part of a project that i’m involved in with many other talented writers and this is just my part. woojin is still a small child despite his appearance and deserves to be treated his age. pls love woojin, the awkward baby.
woojin was still a little awkward when you started dating
if you were super close friends before he'd adjust a little faster
but if one of you just out of the blue confessed it'd take him a while longer
blushes really hard at compliments
he just gets so shy when it comes to praise
cover his face a lot
it'd take him a while before he'd gather the courage to hold your hand
he holds it loosely
likes to have his arm around your shoulders if you're sitting down
lowkey likes if you cling onto his arm when you walk
he won't say anything about it but he just has this giant grin on his face the first couple times you did it
most likely has a picture of you as his home screen
will get really embarrassed if you find it
likes small matching items
like little charms on a keychain
likes to see you wear his hoodies but is too shy to tell you
soft kisses
more into pecks bc he's a shy and awkward baby
but sometimes will kiss you a bit longer and then smile widely after and honestly it's just the cutest
loves to hug you
when you pull away his hands linger on your hips and he'll place a kiss on your forehead
although he can be a bit too shy to say it
he loves you
and he tries his best to express it to you
so be patient with him pls
he's just a small baby

soulmate!woojin
my part for the #protectwoojinproject. check end notes for more stuff ^^
soulmates am i right
definitely seemed to make life easier when it comes to finding “the perfect someone”
but to you, something about it was just…….ugh
maybe you just hated the mystery aspect of finding the person you were destined to spend the rest of your life with
and the fact that your soulmate could be a 42 year old pedophile or a convict….in prison….on death row or something
aCtUaLly, this could actually be very true considering that the tattoo on your arm literally says: well good thing i think you look very delicious
thats right folks you have the vv infamous ‘first thing my soulmate says to me is permanently tattooed on my body’ crap
anD bOY OH BOY WERE YOU ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIED
im joking
but im also serious
terrified doesnt even do justice to how shocked your parents were when they first saw the words magically appearing on your arm
it was going great until delicious appeared in bold black ink
pretty sure your mom almost fainted
but yes, for most of your life, you were ridiculed and mocked for having these very suspicious lookin words on your forearm
this kinda led to you being more closed off as you grew older
by the middle of your last year in high school as a senior, you managed to make only 3 friends
from your whole 4 years of high school
3 friends
since you grew up on the same street, you, jihoon, daehwi, and jaehwan were already super close
so close in fact that when you applied for a part time job at a chicken restaurant to start earning money for college, they also applied with you
honestly you were very touched that they would join you so that you wouldnt be lonely
in reality they needed money to buy a new gaming console that was coming out in a few months
i love friends
so when you started working, you were all working different kinds of positions
daehwi was the cashier boy, you and jihoon were waiting tables, and jaehwan was….well……the chicken mascot who would stay outside handing out flyers to random people
you bet all of you were laughing your asses off when you found out
anyways moving on
it had already been 2 weeks since you got hired and things were going gr8
until jaehwan got sick this one time and one of you had to replace him
and since daehwi was the only one who knew how to work the register, he was ruled out
so between you and jihoon, you settled this like adults
by rock paper scissors
when you realized that you sucked at rock paper scissors though, it was too late
you lost and you had to put on the chicken costume
did i mention that this was not just an animal costume
it was an actual piece of fried chicken
you made a mental reminder to yourself to both praise jaehwan for having the guts to do this everyday AND to beat his ass for coming down with a cold
so now here you are in the middle of the busy street in a chicken costume dancing around and handing out flyers
you swore that you felt a little child bite your hip to see if you were edible
for the first hour, things were going ok
until this group of 5 boys came
dONT GET ME STARTED,,,, ok so
these boys were kind of regulars in the restaurant and in short they were dicks
they would always tease jaehwan about the costume, be super loud while you eating, and basically be rowdy frat boys until they left
except they werent frat boys because they were a dance team
they always tried to hit on you with all different types of pick up lines
which never seemed to match the one on your arm so you were silently thanking not only God but also Jesus
trying to keep in your calm, you turned to them and welcomed them into the restaurant
unfortunately they recognized you as one of their usual waitresses and were like “woah, she’s always been a hot chick, but now she’s literally become one ;)”
how did they even do that
pushing their fuccboi remarks aside you smiled at them and said “welcome inside”
for the rest of the time they were there, you could hear loud whooping and cheering and you swore that you could feel jihoon trying to breathe in and out trying so hard not to slap all of them in the face
by the time they exited, all of them were already quite tipsy
as they exited, one of them actually ran into you, sent the flyers flying all over the place and vomited on the costume
yeah it wasnt pretty
although he mumbled a small “sorry” before walking away with his friends, you were still fuming and you really just wanted to claw his eyes out
but knowing that you’d probably lose one of the most stable things in your life rn, you decided against it and just picked up each flyer very aggressively
you noticed though,,,,,,,,,you werent the only one picking it up
in front of you was one of the boys. the one with the snaggletooth
you see, unlike the others, this boy was sweet and silent
whenever you would put down his food in front of him he would smile the most adorable smile in the world that undeniably made your heart dugun dugun if u get what i mean
anways denying you had a crush on him, you two continued to pick up the flyers until all of them were back in your hands
“thank you… not a lot of people would help a girl whos dressed in a vomited on chicken costume“
“well good thing i think you look very delicious“
it took a beat of awkward silence for both of you to realize that those exact words were tattooed on your forearms
“holy crap“
both of you looked at each other with shy smiles and just like “wow i just met my soulmate and he/she is the cutest thing in the world”
naturally, after your shift, he takes you home
daehwi and jihoon pretend to be jealous like “fine we dont need you” but on the inside they’re like “yez girl finally”
you two spend the whole walk just talking about yourselves and getting to know more and when you finally arrive at your house it felt like it was only 10 seconds when in reality it was actually like an hour you walked really slowly ok
before you go in, you realize that you didnt even know his name??
so you ask him and hes like
“i-i’m park woojin! please always take care of me!* uh, not in that way! but like…you know….i-if you want to….i’d w-want you to..if thats ok?“
even though he’s mumbling you still surprisingly understood everything clearly
without a second thought you walked up to him and planted a kiss on his cheek and said
“i’d love to“
this could have been a lot longer lol. anyways, i was inspired by the #protectwoojinproject that has been going around lately.
it needs to be known that sexualizing minors (not just woojin, not just idols, ALL minors) is not okay. it’s disgusting, it’s gross, it’s illegal, so stop.
* please take care of me - jal butakdeurimnida - basically a phrase that a newbie says to a more experienced person/what idols say a lot when introducing themselves

stars (ft. park woojin)
requested park woojin scenario! highschool!au again noona - dongsaeng :-----) FLUFF. i hope-
today had been exceptionally wonderful
the school trip was not like any other trip you had during your highschool stay
although most seniors had been complaining about how the trip could have been exclusive for your batch
it didn’t matter to you because in all honesty, you barely knew everyone anyway so it didn’t really make a difference
you had a small clique within your senior batch and a few friends here and there around the campus
the planetarium was the absolute quacking bomb
you had enjoyed every bit of the night as it was the last stop and the school had also reserved the whole grounds for an overnight camp
it was heaven for you
and having two of your close friends as your tent-mates
polaroid photos slowly filling in your little album from most of today’s experiences
but that last thing to wrap up today’s itinerary was what you’d been looking forward to the most
was the show in the planetarium
seated between your two friends, Lee Suhyun and Kang Sira
Snapping another photo before the show starts
and enjoying every bit and every minute of how they laid out the universe
it was all beautiful
breathtaking
far more than you imagined it to be
the last time you had some planetarium visit was a small one in a mall that showed dinosaur life and same mall different theme for the second one
the universe tour for the planetariums were always sold out with older couples usually filling in the seats
and your parents ofcourse would disapprove of you coming home late at night
so anyway
here ya’ll are
being giddy over the show
the smile on your lips never leaving as your eyes barely blinking and your mouth never closing
the full 30 minutes had been what you considered the best and so far your favorite part in your life so far
yes you loved exploring the universe that much
that you lowkey believe in aliens
because they’re more possible than ghosts--
as you would often say
“the universe is huge. why would you think we’re the only living species?”
the show ends, and you tell yourself that you were definitely going again
maybe during college
but anyway
dinner comes, it was utter choas
good thing everything was by class and yes even the cooking
it was basically an MT than an educational fieldtrip
the teachers were around telling all students that they had 30 mins before going to bed
and you couldn’t find your polaroid camera even after dinner
you thought you had left it in the tent but it was nowhere to be found
until you remembered that you must have left it inside the planetarium showroom
30 mins was enough time to walk to the building, find your camera and walk back to the camping area
you didn’t want to bother your friends so you went alone with only your phone, jacket and the small blanket wrapped around you
dim lights as you entered the place
walking over to your previous seat from earlier, hand patting underneath your chair
you sigh in relief as you feel your camera still there
but almost let out a shriek when something close to you moved
realizing it was another student you let out another sigh of relief
because as much as you didn’t believe in ghosts, it’s still different thinking you’re alone and apparently have someone else
like what if it was a murder or something
judging from the red sweatpants, it was a freshman
yes ya’ll color coded by batch so you can imagine it like skittles walking around from birds eye view
he seemed to be asleep and it was fairly dark so you couldn’t really see his face
but you shook him gently till he was awake
he sat up so abruptly and the fact that he was near your seat from earlier made you think back
but you were pretty sure the row you sat on were all seniors
“did you fall asleep here during the show?”
he still seemed lost as he stared at you
you held back a laugh because he honestly looked cute
until
WHaiT a minUte--
he seemed so familiar
“Oh. Woojin-ssi” you breathed out
he was still half asleep as he muttered back his answer saying no and a small ‘yeah’?
but the only reason why you knew him is because despite being a first year, he was in nearly every special performance from the school’s hiphop dance club
and he kinda
chingaling-linged a little bit into your attention
but you never really had /that/ kind of crush on him
nearly everyone in the school knew him actually
but yeah, it was because of dance
because he literally grabbed all the attention during the last school fair performance and as much as the song was get ugly, every single student who performed were all gorgeous
it was unfair
“what time is it? is dinner over?” he asked in a completely groggy voice
and you were
Sh O oKe th
because wow
you didn’t expect that voice to come out of that face
but it suits him
“yeah. weren’t you able to eat and--” as you glanced down on your phone
your eyes widened
it was exactly 11pm
and as if on cue, the lights changed into dimmer ones
and the click on the huge ass doors could be heard
don’t they clean up and check before locking up???
but then you remembered they did right after the show was done
“shit--” you hear him curse under his breath
you were both locked in
and aha, how convenient that there was no phone reception inside
plus the fact that earlier they had reminded everyone that the tight security cameras were being replaced so even if you wanted to wave and dance around infront of one,
guards were manually roaming around every three hours
“guess we’ll be stuck here for a while” he groaned making his way back to the seat and comfortably lay there
both of you aren’t even panicking
nor trying too hard
like
is this normal?
ya both stuck but you both don’t seem to care that much
“did you eat dinner?” you had asked, concerned ofcourse
there was no food and no water and dinner had been long over
“I already did. What about you?” he asked back politely
you’re both going to be together for a bit so might as well make conversation
instead of being awkward
“I did... but if you ate already... what were you doing here?” asking out of sheer curiosity
and he was sleeping too in there.....
“did you know this closes at 11?” you had added in, although you weren’t really scolding him
to you it felt like that abit
“yeah, I just wanted to be alone for a while but then I fell asleep” he answered non nonchalantly “what about you? why are you here?” he asked back looking at you
“I came to get this” you showed him the camera that was now slung around your neck
now the atmposhere turned kinda awkward as the conversation just seemed to have died down
you pursed your lips as you thought of something to say
or how to open up the conversation when he suddenly spoke
“aren’t you Sira noona’s friend?”
“uh.. yes... you know her?”
“oh well yeah we’re 2nd degree cousins”
and you were shOoktEth again for the 2nd time in less than two hours
“oh” was all you could say because you’ve known Sira since junior high and during the time as seniors, she never really mentioned knowing “the” park woojin
“she mentioned once you believe in aliens?” he didn’t sound as awkward as you did
infact, he sounded pretty chill
another surprise
except that he sometimes sounded like he was stuttering but
it sounded cute
you don’t normally just spurt out how you believe in the universe’s other life forms
because as much as you could basically sound very informative
and honestly convincing
majority of people would just look at you like you were a nut job
you didn’t really care but sometimes
it was tiring being made fun of things you believed in
“uh well.. yeah.. I do” you answered back quietly
and to your surprise
you could see in the corner of your eye his lips tugging up into a bigger smile
“I always wanted to find a friend whom I could talk to about it!”
you didn’t expect him to be a believer
but somehow
you couldn’t wipe the smile off your face
and lets just say
time felt like it moved so quickly that, there was a hint of disappointment in your voice when you checked your phone and it was almost 1am
meaning
the guards would probably be coming over to finally find you
you should be happy
you were getting out and about to get proper sleep
but you’ve never met someone who greatly liked the universe as much as you did
and woojin too, he enjoyed your exchange of stories
the sightings, theories, how they helped people in the past and possible proof
in a span of a little over two hours
you felt like you found a really genuine friend you could share things with
he had also been so sympathetic over your experiences about basically being bullied for believing in something
and within the almost three hours
you both basically had shared each of our life stories
and when did you start believing in such
1:14 am, the digital clock on your phone read
you could see woojin hugging himself as the air grow a tad bit chillier
there was still no one coming through the doors
he was yawning already, trying to cover up the tiredness he felt from all of today’s activities
you had both been seated by the wall next to the door, as you waited
just when you were about to speak up, he beat you to it
“you know it’s not always I get to meet someone like you. I mean” stuttering over his words again as you chuckled at how cute he kept on sounding
“we really are into the same thing and... the chances of being locked up here with you” letting out a small laugh of his own
you could feel your heart picking up pace over his words
it was probably nothing, but still, they sounded nice
alittle too nice that you were thankful for the dim lights
because you felt your face heating up
“Want to take photos? I have a few more films in the camera. Might as well make it like a memorabilia” you blurted out, wanting to eat back the words
but his reaction made you freeze a little bit
his smile had grown so wide you couldn’t help but smile back
“really noona? I mean... well. It’s just that I wanted something to remind me of today”
“do you want me to take a photo of you?”
“oh... no. well, I was thinking more of a photo of us”
asfhakghakjga
“whAt-”
you could see his features changing into a shy expression
“It doesn’t seem like it but I’m quite sentimental. I wanted to ask a photo together but my phone’s battery is still alive but barely breathing”
you were suddenly so unsure of what to say
you had grow incredibly shy over his words that words were completely failing you
“oh sure... here” was the only sentence you could force out as you gave him the polaroid cam. He had longer arms and would be able to take a photo of both of you better
you got conscious about how you looked all of a sudden
you had washed the make up off and you wanted to cover your face so badly
“one, two--”
then a sudden flash, you were just thankful that you were able to smile
the film slowly slipping out as woojin holds onto to it.
“should we take one more? a copy for me” you state, making him look at you like
???? !!!!!!
“I was going to ask you to send me a photo of this” he quietly said, although evident in his voice he would love having it to keep
“you can have it” you smiled, reaching out to pat his head
blushing again when you realize what you’ve done
drawing your hand back immediately but he didn’t seem to notice
“yeah lets take another one” the smile never leaving his lips as you both posed again for the camera
the second photo coming out nicer that the first, since you felt prettier and more ready in the second
you had been able to talk to woojin to trade
but also because you liked the first photo more since it had him infront
which showed more of his face
keeping it in his wallet, you couldn’t help but melt
you suddenly felt as if you’d been treasured
yeah sure close friends and family make you feel extremely loved but
ofcourse this felt a little more different
“Noona... I don’t want to sound demanding but... I was wondering if... I could snap a photo of you and keep it”
well
your heart just made a somersault
and it felt like his face landed face first on the ground
how could someone affect you like this in a matter of minutes
and as he tried to click, apparently there was no more film
he felt disappointment and so did you
“I have a few solo photos of me in the tent... maybe I could give you one”
his smile made you feel like the whole dim room was lighting up and you just loved it
“promise?” he asks holding out his pinky
it was childish but
super cute
“promise” you answer back wrapping your pinky around his
but what you didn’t expect was
him leaning in to kiss your hands
to seal the deal
and you just went
asdfghjkasffa
“I don’t think we’d be able to wait till 2am for someone” he had stated, rubbing his eyes as sleep had came back to him
you were starting to feel your eyelids dropping too
“come on noona, we can just sleep on the chairs” he stated, getting up first to help you afterwards
you liked how his hand felt in yours
you’ve dated before sure
had a lot of crushes but
maybe the fact that you were both interested immensely in something similar pulled you towards him
“goodnight noona” he whispers, seated next to you with arms around himself again
pushing the arms rests up, its not like you wanted to snuggle closer but the blanket felt a little small
he moved in a bit towards you when he felt you wrap him up, to share the cloth together
you wanted to look at him like a little brother but
“you can rest your head on my shoulder noona, it’s more comfortable”
the words he keep spurting out just really made him look more like a man than the boy he was
silence for a few minutes
1:30 am
it was just breathing between the two of you
your head on his shoulder
and his cheek resting on top of your head
“can’t sleep?” he mumbles again
“yeah”
“me too. but I feel really tired”
“same actually”
“noona”
“hmm?”
“I was wondering”
“what is it?”
“would it be okay if I got your number?”
“w-what” pressing your lips toegther as you tried to keep your wits intact
“well it’s because... like I said, I don’t get to meet someone like you alot. I wanted to keep in touch and...” his tone drifting away softly
you cold hear his feet shifting and shuffling on the floor
“and?”
“well I obviously want to keep intouch and maybe.... bring you to go stargazing”
that was surely an offer you couldn’t reject
I was supposed to finish this daaays ago. but I got busy sorry :c and wow this sht got long omfg
like
wow
really long.
BONUS:
you’re both awoken at 4am by one of the janitors
good thing because students were going to be woken up at 6am
and if your teachers don’t find you in your tents
you were in a whole lot of trouble
you woke up with woojin’s head still ontop of yours
and both of you sharing the same blanket
him smiling down at you as he greets you a good morning
sadly needing to part ways to go back to your respective tents
but as you lay down inbetween your sleeping friends
your phone vibrates
“park woojin” it says on the screen
“noona. it’s woojin, don’t forget the photo okay? I’ll be looking forward to it later. sleep tight : )”

Hi can i request an angst-fluff high school au of woojin please?? Ehe thank you so much!:)
One high school au coming up!
Woojin was,,,,,,,,,a peculiar member of the student body
Like you know the elementary school kid that stuck pocky in their mouth to look like a walrus?
Well, fast forward to high school and that’s woojin
He’s the kind of guy who’s always the center of his friends’ laughter, but everyone else he’s just like, quiet
You sit next to him in math
He hasn’t spoken to you since 3rd grade
And the reason he spoke to you in 3rd grade was to compliment your light-up shoes
Yeah, you were that kid
Anyways, high school you and high school him? Absolutely zero interactions
Doesn’t make your crush nonexistent tho huehuehue
And then Homecoming came up
Homecoming is like the first major school dance in American high school btw
And it seemed like all of your friends drank some sort of courage potion bc they all had dates
“C’mon, Y/N, you have to go with us?”
“And end up being a unicycle? lmao no thanks”
“Then just ask someone!!”
“Who would I ask?????”
“Ask,,,,,,,,,Park Woojin! He liked your shoes!”
“,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,he liked my shoes in 3rd grade,,,”
“Well, you like him!”
“,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,you got me there”
You ended up asking him to the dance and he was a mESS
Flustered red-faced baby
You guys are at the dance together,,,,,,,awkward,,,,,,,,,sitting at least 3 feet apart from each other on the gym’s bleachers
You were legit about to fall asleep until you heard your absolute jam playing over the speakers
At the same moment you jumped up, Woojin did
Flustered red-faced babies
The two of you ended up dancing together, in the sense of wildly flailing limbs, not slow dancing. It was nice.
Like, you and him got along really well in the remaining hours in the gym
Got along so well you decided you wanted to ask him out the following Monday *winkwonk*
Well you were going to until you overheard his conversation with his friends
C’mon, Woojin, you like them,” Youngmin said
“No I don’t, hyung”
“Yeah, you do. You went to the dance with them, and it looked like you had fun! So you like them.”
“I only went to the dance with them because their friends pestered me into doing it. Plus,”
You ran off at that point, looks like Woojin’s not gonna get his chocolates after all
You ended up eating them in a bathroom stall while pouting to yourself
Anyways, in math Woojin tried talking to you
He was ignored
He tried talking to you again during lunch
Ignored
“Hey, Y/N, why are you ignoring me?”
You rolled your eyes and walked away
He grabbed your wrist and turned you around
“Why aren’t you talking to me” oh my god, he pouted too
“Maybe bc you only went to the dance with me bc my friends made you”
“,,,,,,,you heard that?”
“Yeah, Woojin, I did”
You chucked the empty box of chocolates at him
“These were for you, but I ate them all”
Woojin felt really bad now
He held on your wrist firmly before speaking again, “Did you hear the second part?”
“,,,,,,,,,,,,second part?”
“I only went to the dance with you bc your friends made me, and I knew you didn’t like me enough to ask me to the dance that way”
“That way?”
“Like, ya know, the ‘i like like you’ that way”
“Oh,,,,,,,,,but I do like you that way”
“Y/N, I kinda figured that just now when you chucked this empty box of chocolates at me with the note saying ‘i like you’ still attached to the top”
“,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,you got me there”
“So, want to catch a movie with me Saturday?”
You pretended to mull over your words, “Fine, but only if you pay!”

not requested!
genre: fluff!
#protect woojin project!
a/n: also thanks guys. sm like??? kdflksds THANKS FOR 200+ FOLLOWERS OMG YALL ILY 😫😫😭🎉💕
Walking happily into the library where you promised Woojin to meet up at, you notice the latter sitting with his head down
‘What happened to him?’ You thought, bc usually he’d be reading a comic as he waits for “ur slow ass” as he puts it
Disregarding this, you stride up to him and give him a good ol’ pat on the back and bring him into a headlock expecting him to fight back
Nope. He sits there, motionlessly.
“Yah, Park Woojin, what’s up with you?”
Silence… a sniff… another sniff. Lifting his head you see tears welling up in his eyes
“H-hey, what’s wrong Woojin? What happened?”
“I-i didn’t pass my, my SM audition-n. I don’t know what to dooo” he moans pitifully.
Feeling bad, you try to cheer him up. “It’s ok Woojin-ie, there are still plenty of other companies you can audition to out there, hm? Don’t cry over the one company who is sleeping over your talents.”
Pulling him into a hug, “Is there anything I can do to make your day all better?”
“Yes. Promise me something.”
“What?”
“You have to hug me,” ‘Aren’t I already doing that??’
“Everyday. Whenever I want.” ‘Ok, what. Pink sausage say what.’
But you couldn’t help to agree after he gives you those puppy eyes. ‘Freaking Woojin and his freaking irresistible cuteness.’

You wake up to buzzing noises near your ear. Looking at your phone, you see messages and missed calls from the one, and only, Park Woojin.
Smh woojin its late
His messages consists of, “Is u awake?”
“Y/N. My best friend, the only person who cares about me, wAkE uP”
“Yo. wake up….pls”
“Omg LAZY ASS WAKE UP”
shookEDT, there were 10 missed calls and 4 voicemails. Not even giving you a chance to listen to them, Woojin’s caller ID pops up
‘Sexy baby oh my lady’ plays on repeat until you accept the call
“What do you want Park.”
“Open your window.”
“What?”
“OpEn YoUR WINDOW.”
Wtf? Heading to your window, you open it to see Woojin squatting on a big tree branch.
“PARK WOOJIN,” startling him a little bit, “ARE YOU CRAZY? DO YOU KNOW HOW DANGEROUS THAT IS? Get the heck inside, now.”
“Okaay, geez mom.”
“Wanna tell me why you’re here? At-” looking at the clock, “THREE IN THE FRICKFRACK MORNING???!1?”
“I wanted my daily hugs..”
“And you couldn’t have waited ‘till a decent time? Like, when people are usually awake? For example, 8 in the morning??”
“Nope. You promised me, whenever I want.”
“I’m supposed to be sleeping right now???”
“Well then why’re you awake?”
Exhaustedly, “BECAUSE YOU CONTINUOUSLY SPAMMED ME YOU OWL”
“Sorry,” he mutters dejectedly and slight frowns. “…Can I still get that hug though?”
Your heart aches at the sight and you sigh exasperatedly, “Ok fine, but never wake me up at an ungodly hour again.”
Pulling him into a hug, you whisper into his ear, “Never stop smiling, it hurts me.”
He whispers back with a slight grin, “I won’t, so long as you’re here, giving me my daily hugs.”

Rocks were being thrown at your window. Getting up, you open it only to be hit smack dab in the middle of your face by a muddy rock. ‘Stupid rain. Stupid rock. Who the heck is annoying me at -looking at your clock- 3 in the morning again.’
“Hey! Y/N, IT ME. WOOJIN.” hopping into your room, he screams right into your face.
“yES, I KNOW WOOJIN I CAN SEE AND HEAR YOU PERFECTLY FINE, WHY ARE YOU SCREAMING.”
“You’re screaming too…”
“Oh my god, Woojin. What do you want this time?”
“My hug.” whipping your head towards his direction, you give him a deadpan expression. ‘Say what now?’
Let’s just say, the hug you gave him then was suffocatingly sweet.
“UNCLE. UNCLE. LEMME GO Y/N. LEMME GO. I’VE LEARNED MY LESSON.”
“Shut up and sleep, you’re my teddy bear’s replacement for tonight (today?)”

THE PROJECT - PROFILES 1
- woojin thigh worshippers:
masterlist | profiles 2
~ lee minho:
(dance major, catfather) as you can see, this man is in love with his cats. the ideal cat person, doesn’t take people’s shit and enjoys being sarcastic and moody. get on his bad side and you might find him at your bedside with a knife in hand, super protective of his loved ones even though he pretends he isn’t, and might airfryer you.
~ kim sunoo:
(biology major, thatcutebitch) essentially he’s the cute person of the campus, he has an entire fanbase but won’t share his skincare routine for free, he’s broke and wants a sugar daddy and enjoys being a bitch to his friends (he makes up for it by being cute and friendly).
~ lee felix:
(dance major, yeetyeetyeet) as his name says, he’s the brownie boi, due to the brownies he makes at least twice a week that taste so good, almost like drugs (don’t worry, they aren’t drugs, they’re just amazing). he’s also a sunshine boi, taking after the dance professor with his smile brightening up the room easily, and everyone loves him for his sunny and cheerful personality
~ kim woojin:
(law major, imfinethankyou) woojin is the parent of the group, a position he kinda fell into without realising. he’s amazing at law and has mother-like tendencies, so most of the time he’s trying to make sure none of his children idiots get into trouble, and often saying “i’m not good enough to get you bail yet”. he’s super protective of his group, and has been traumatised way too much by some of the stuff this lot say and do
~ nishimura riki:
(dance major, rikijackson) this is the baby of the group. everyone treats him like the baby, but he’s also a nutcase who pulls weird shit most of the time. he enjoys quoting vines and spending too much time dragging his dance hyungs to practice with him. as the baby, he’s super loveable, but his bad side can get you tangled in chewing gum or waking up to tar falling on you
~ hwang hyunjin:
(dance major, iamtree) sure, he’s hot, but he’s also super dirty minded, and way too thirsty for his own good. he’s the one who thirsts over the professors and he really needs to be drowned in holy water. he has a fanbase like sunoo except his fanbase are all horny as well and most of his time is spent being a simp and flirting but never getting into any kind of relationship
~ yang jeongin:
(law major, peaches>bitches) this is the looks like he could kill you but is a cinnamon roll. even though he has a younger brother, he’s the second baby of the group. most of his time is spent messing around with riki and regretting taking law, although he does enjoy finding out about criminal cases and researching them. he also enjoys bullying hyunjin and roasting his hyungs
~ yang jungwon:
(biology major, sheepgarden) one of the most mature people in the group, he’s super studious and sometimes is more like the big brother, even though technically jeongin is his big brother. most of his time is spent making sure the others don’t get in trouble and he also has the family trait of looks like he could kill you but is a cinnamon roll. he’s super sweet but has one rather dedicated admirer that he gets annoyed by, and he can turn very dangerous if you mess with his loved ones
AN: as you can see this is my first time writing something like this on tumblr, although the original story is actually on my wattpad (we don’t talk about that) um yeah i’ll be working towards this for the foreseeable future as my first tumblr fic, hope you enjoy!

into the system
x mafia!stray kids social media au
part xii - klaus died
previous | forward
synopsis: y/n, a piano major and top student, is surprisingly really good at hacking systems, plus well acquainted with most of the petty criminals roaming the city. what is skz, the city’s most notorious gang, finds someone entering their system? especially someone with a familiar face?
a/n: yes it’s a written chapter!
hello! i also have a taglist, so let me know if you wanna join alright! and let me know what you think about this so far?
“no don’t die! fuck- god damn it!” you cursed under your breath. you lightly slammed your head against your keyboard repeatedly.
“y/n? what happened?” you heard woojin’s voice echo from behind you.
“what happened?” your voice going a little high pitched as you furiously pointed to your laptop. you were sitting in the skz headquarters, which was huge. like really huge.
“he died!” you exasperated. you could tell woojin wanted to cut you off, but the rest of skz came running in when they heard your voice.
“who died?” chan asked frantically.
“klaus – freaking died! right before his promotion!” you could see the confused face of skz.
“you mean your sim, klaus?” minho cut the silence, following felix’s laugh.
“yes! he was about to become a national leader, which means he could’ve become the best dictator in sims history!” you cried out. you saw changbin’s face darkened a little.
“you mean to tell me that for the past ten hours you’ve been sitting in the here, you’ve been playing sims and not fixing the mainframe?” changbin scoffed as he turned to the rest of skz.
“i told you there was no point in hiring them. who knows whether or not maybe they’re the ones that sold us out to nct. we knew nct was the one that stole the file for project shadow-“
“i sold you guys out? don’t you remember the only reason why i’m here? nct is freaking after me!” a beep sounded off from your laptop which caught your attention.
“wait what is that?” chan pointed to your laptop as you opened the alert. you turned towards him and raised an eyebrow, your face looking smug.
“well boss, though technically i don’t work for you, i heard from a certain someone that you’re looking for someone special. and i know how to track him down. also i have a bone to pick at him” you smirked.
“you’re talking about taeyong, right?” chan looked at you for confirmation. you nodded.
“you’ve worked with nct and yet, you don’t know where their hq is?” seungmin voiced from beside you.
“taeyong never disclosed the location to me. yuta would come pick me up and blindfold me—”
“ooh kinky” felix chimed in. woojin glared at him.
“there’s a child in this room!” woojin voiced while glancing at jeongin.
“plus if i hacked in the server that i built, wouldn’t that be predictable? though they don’t know that i’m working with you. or that i know they’re looking for me”
“we should never infiltrate their hq anyways, although we’re richer, they have more men and units at their disposal.” jeongin muttered, you nodded along with him.
“see you have a genius on the team” you joked.
“however, i know that nct has been tracking a certain someone. and if we get him first and have him on our side –” you started.
“we can piss taeyong off.” minho finished your sentence. you smirked.
“exactly”
“so your plan is to foil every nct plan? like team rocket?” chan scoffed in disbelief.
“well, we would make an amazing team rocket.”
“prepare for trouble! make it double!” you chanted, hoping someone would continue the motto. sadly, it was followed with silence.
“to protect the world from devastation…” changbin muttered softly, which made you chuckle.
“to denounce the evils of truth and love?” you continued not knowing whether changbin would play along.
“to extend our reach to the stars above! y/n!” you stood up and looked at changbin.
“changbin!”
“team rocket blasts off at the speed of light! surrender now or prepare to fight!” you pointed to the rest of skz as changbin posed beside you. you could see chan just shaking his head, questioning his life decisions.
“did you really memoriz-“ minho was cut off by felix.
“meowth! that’s right” you burst out into laughter and the rest soon followed.
~
“wait so who is taeyong and your alert looking for?”
“this detective, has been chasing nct since the very start. and now that nct probably has ties to most of the politicians in the city. nct has more reasons to get the detective in the hands.” you replied seungmin, while opening a tab which had the detective’s details and recent whereabouts.
“choi seungcheol?”

when kpop idols leave/step down/get kicked out only then do fans show how much they care when they desperately want their faves to be back… grow up. also they dont see how restricting the industry actually is and how much is really put into being an idol more than any western artist thats for sure, so i dont think fans fully appreciate their idols unless something happens to them then they suddenly matter more than their own sanity, dignity and self worth put together. its also like fans either arent satisfied enough with who the idols are so they keep wanting, needing and asking for more from them this is probably what happened to jennie & her “lazy scandal” its ridiculous, if idols have so much on their plate are working tirelessly to please the unappreciative fans, but then the fans criticise or scrutinise idols for just being freaking humans its scarily unhealthy both for the idols and the fans to be like that to them
dont put the same standard on someone else that you wouldn’t put on yourselves. i actually want bts to either step down from the lime light, join the military to do whatever the fck they want, date, marry, have kids so the fans will shut up for once about “their precious boys” bc no one can hate them, not a single soul can say crap about them
its creepy and borderline stalker like behaviour how “protective” they are over someone that they dont know and the likely hood of bts knowing them is slim so i dont get half the fans behaviours both online and in real life towards the members
bring your arse back down to reality for the love of god your life does not centre and isn’t defined by these 7 guys or any idol for that matter alone… surely one of them has got to leave soon enough and im sure more idols will, only time will tell. i wish they would’ve took the break in 2018 or whenever it was. fans dont even care to admit how fed up the idols probably feel from dealing with their own fanbase or having to give so much to the fans and have little energy for themselves
i was chatting to a friend awhile back, i kinda drifted away from because she was a lil like this, made bts her kinda obsession and even when we talked about their new music which im a fan of to some extent but i commented that i didnt like the recent songs all i got back was dont say that about bts… we’re both the same age and she seemed so mature but kinda got in her head that i was “attacking” bts for simply not liking every song they did. wow if thats what this humanity have come to then im glad im not like that
its simply fine to not fully be a fan, in fact it actually makes me enjoy and appreciate them more without the attachments to the members because to me they’re just some cool artists i enjoy but to others its like they centre their whole life around them to the point they forget to have interest in their own life, its become a complete distortion of their own reality since so much love and happiness is projected into 7 guys they wont ever know personally so when it comes to not being a fan or when a member leaves/gets kicked out its like suddenly the worst thing ever to the fans but i’d say it is how it is with any music industry, there’s rules to follow, contracts to abide by, they chose to be idols and become artists therefore it doesnt matter who they are but theres going to be some form of backlash or fall out and no amount of whining, pleading to the companies is going to change that
rules and guidelines are there for reasons u dont just go and break them when it could potentially ruin the image of the company / staff etc, theres so much more at stake than just the idols reputation when scandals happen cause theres much more to it than just ur “biases” alone… production teams, merchandisers, all these staff members that work tirelessly for them too could be put back bc of an idol deciding to act out of the normal or break some rules, do something they shouldn’t
sometimes its just for the better tbh, they can focus purely on themselves and regain their own freedom and rights rather than owing so much to the fans or the company. tbh i bet the idols get to a point where they’re like nope this is enough, does something *wrong* just to deliberately get out of the industry. cause surely they’re aware of what they do and what the rules, regulations must follow with being an idol. therefore they wouldnt deliberately go against it if they werent trying to get out or had enough of it. theres always going to be some type of fall out but stop acting like it affects you more than the idol when it has nothing to do with yourselves, you’re merely someone who enjoys them but so many care too deeply about it, plus its all legally done now u cant just up and out as u please so for idols to make that choice its not easy on them or the company they’re with
also what is with fans not allowing kpop idols to be truly themselves but when it happens to the likes of hyuna, woojin suddenly its considered okay after awhile it calms down but when it happens fans lose their dignity and self worth over something as minor as an idol leaving/being kicked out… theres probably a lot worse going on rn than what we see on the surface you all can be hypocritical or bashful of anyone you like, the company, the idols, the groups or you can simply accept that sometimes your faves arent who they appear to be, i know its a shocker to me too but what you see on camera is not what you get off camera, stop living like you know them, stop trying to protect and defend them for everything. live your own damn lives and focus on yourselves more than anything while still enjoying what you like but not to that ridiculous extent that its become… sadly

Play Pretend pt. 4
Pairing: Hyunjin x female reader
Genre: FakeDating!AU (?), fluff, angst
A/N: Hello i’m back with an update! i hope you enjoy it as much as i enjoyed writing it!
Word count: 4575
For the following week, you really started to get into your role as Hyunjin’s girlfriend. Hyunjin has also surprisingly been really getting into the relationship as well. He’s been taking a lot more initiative lately.
For example, every morning since the beginning of that night, he would pick you up at seven as agreed and he would hold your hand as you two walked to school even though no one was around. In the beginning, you mentioned that to him but he insisted, brushing your comment off. Hence, you just went along with it because why fight it especially when you are clearly enjoying it?
Whenever he had soccer matches or practices, he would just give you a little wave or just a simple nod of acknowledgement. Nowadays, he would call out to you from the field if he were to run by the stands. If you were lucky, he would even run over to you to give you a quick peck on the cheek for no reason.
Previously, when he has dance practice, he would never initiate and ask you to stay at the dance studio. Hence, you would either head to the library to wait or Chan would ask you to stay because he doesn’t want you to wait in the library alone. However, these days, Hyunjin would beat Chan to it. Just as you were about to leave, he would grab your hand and ask you to stay behind to watch. He even asked you for some feedback about his dance from time to time, which was something that he has never done before.
He has also been coming by your place more often ever since that night you two chatted by the windows. Initially, most meetings would be about tactics on how to get Amelie back, which you absolutely hated. However, nowadays, he would just come by to chill. You two would relax on the couch, his arm around your shoulder, and binge watch some movies while snacking on food his mother had asked him to bring over to you. If he was having a stressful or bad day, he would even confide in you while you do your best to comfort him.
However, all of this may have just been your over-analytical mind messing with you, but you chose to go along with it regardless. You were happy.
On another note, you have also gotten significantly closer to the rest of the members of Stray Kids – not by choice. Hayley had gone back home for a couple of weeks, which means that her café along with Stray Kids’ usual hangout spot was closed. As a result, with your permission, all the boys turned your empty house into their temporary hangout spot. They would come over to either discuss showcases and projects they were working on or watch movies while having a mukbang session (because Chan is a growing boy). Thanks to their (and Hyunjin’s) frequent visits, your once quiet, lonely household had became livelier and you liked it.
On this particular day, Friday, Chan had asked again, if the members could gather at yours again. They wanted to celebrate the completion of a couple of new songs they had been working on for months. You agreed immediately and within ten minutes, your doorbell rang. You ran over and threw the door open. You stepped aside, allowing the nine boys, each carrying at least two bags of food or drinks, to enter. You shut the door and helped took a bag from Jeongin, before walking into your living room together.
The boys were all in their usual seats around the coffee table. Jeongin settled down in his usual spot as well which was in between Seungmin and Woojin. The boys proceeded to unload the food and drinks from the bags and onto your table. Woojin passed you a bottle of cola and you placed it next to you.
“So, what did you guys get this time?” You asked, taking a seat next to Hyunjin who gave you a little kiss on the side of your head, getting groans from the rest of the boys who had cringed at the sight of the display of affection.
“Like you have to ask,” Jisung grinned, taking the last box of food out of the bag, before tossing the bag aside. You raised a brow and sent him a disapproving stare. “I’ll pick that up after we eat, okay? Stop giving me that look,” Jisung sulked.
“Much appreciated,” You smiled, “Is it what I think it is?” You asked, picking a box up, letting the familiar smell fill your lungs. You opened the box expectantly and was greeted with the glorious sight of fried chicken.
“Woojin hyung chose the menu this time,” You hear Seungmin say from across you. He leaned over the table and opened up every single box on the table. There was a variety of chicken spread out in front of you. There were fried chicken, honey glazed chicken, soy chicken and more. The living room soon smelt like a chicken restaurant, not that you minded.
“This is a lot. Can we even finish it?” You ask, passing around the plastic gloves that came with the food.
“Of course, we have him!” Changbin pointed to Chan, who just shrugged in response.
After everyone had slipped their gloves on, it was time to dig in. Ten chicken drumsticks later, you gathered the bones you had accumulated and threw them into the bin in your kitchen. You slipped the dirty gloves off and tossed them away as well. You washed your hands and went back to join them. Everyone, apart from Chan, had stopped eating and were looking either sick from eating too much or like they were about to enter food coma.
You plopped down on the couch and closed your eyes, letting the food coma sit in. Soon, Hyunjin joined you on the couch and switched the television on. “Do you guys wanna watch something?” He asked.
“Something related to horror or thriller please,” Seungmin suggested. Your eyelids flew right open.
“NO!” You and Jisung exclaim at the same time.
“Horror it is,” Hyunjin grinned, as he put on the film, Annabelle.
The boys all agreed unanimously, except Jisung and you. Both of you were known as the scary – cats in the group. Before you were associated with them, the boys loved putting on something scary for movie nights, because they enjoy teasing the shit out of Jisung. With you around now, the frequency of horror films being played increases as they enjoy having one more person to tease in the group.
“Fuck,” You muttered under your breath, covering your eyes with your forearm. “You guys are assholes,” You sighed, throwing the nearest couch cushion at Hyunjin, who was still grinning away. “I’m not watching this,” You announced, hopping off the couch, receiving jeers from the boys.
“Aw noona, don’t be like that. It’s no fun without you,” You hear Jeongin whine.
“Hyunjin can protect you,” Felix chirped, rising from his lying position, still with a hand over his stomach. Hyunjin took it as a cue and tugged on your arm, pulling you down to join him on the couch again.
“That’s right, you have me.” He say, pulling you close to him, before continuing in a whispered tone this time, “You can always hug me if you’re scared. Feel free to utilise my arms as much as you want,” Your face turned red from his suggestion.
“We heard that,” Woojin chimed, causing all the boys to jeer at the both of you. Ignoring them, you shifted closer to Hyunjin. Hyunjin put his arm around you, letting you rest your head on his shoulder. You closed your eyes, smiling sadly as you take in the scent of his cologne.
Just enjoy it while it last, Y/N.
-
Halfway through the movie, you got up to get yourself a refill. Chan followed you into the kitchen. He closed the door after you two were in the kitchen. He leaned against the door and folded his arms, staring at you.
“What’s up with the two of you?” He asked, making his way towards you.
“What do you mean?” You look away, pouring some coke into your cup.
“Don’t act like you don’t know what I’m talking about.” You could hear the firmness in his voice. “Are you guys really dating?”
“We’re not, and you know that.” You put your cup down and twist the cap back onto the bottle of coke. You were about to pull the fridge open, but Chan grabbed your forearm, stopping you.
“I know you guys are acting like a real couple to make it believable, but I can tell that you are being hurt by the fact that it’s not real.”
You bit your lip, gripping the bottle in your hand. He was right, you were hurting. It was a stupid game you dragged yourself into.
“I never understood why you did it. I don’t support it either, but you would probably say “If not now, then when?” right?” He says, air quoting you. Once again, he was right. He let out a sigh. “Just know when to cut things. I don’t like seeing my friend in so much pain,” He let your arm go and ruffled your hair before taking the bottle from you. “Remember what I said okay?”
You gave Chan a little nod, taking in his words. A little weight got lifted from your heart, knowing that there’s someone there for you. You picked up your cup from the counter and hurried back into the living room.
All the boys had already passed out from what you have assumed was fatigue. You tiptoed your way through and made your way to the remote that was lying next to Hyunjin. You picked it up and turned the television off. Chan emerged from the kitchen with his own cup of coke.
“How long were we gone for?” You hear him whisper. You shrugged and put the remote back down. “Looks like we’re crashing your place again, sorry about that. Let me help you clear up the mess first,” Chan say, clearing up all the trash that was on the floor and the table. You picked up all the empty cups and bottles and brought them into the kitchen. Chan came in a bit later with bags of rubbish in his hands. You opened up the trash chute for Chan. He tossed all the rubbish down the chute. You closed the chute gently and washed your hands right after.
You walked into your room and gathered all the spare blankets you had. You passed some to Chan and the both of you began draping them over the boys, who were snoring away. Chan took a seat next to Felix and laid down, pulling a blanket over himself.
“Thanks for the blankets,”
“No worries,” You reassured him before taking a step towards Hyunjin who has passed out on the couch. You glanced at Hyunjin’s angelic sleeping face, letting your heart filled with warmth. He looked absolutely gorgeous even in his sleep.
A bit later, you hear snickering behind you. You turn and noticed that Chan had propped himself up with his arm, shaking his head at you. “I still stand by what I said earlier,” He whispered, careful not to wake any of the boys up. You gave him a slight nod. “Goodnight, Y/N.”
“Goodnight,” you whispered back, tiptoeing around the boys and to your room. You closed the door quietly and plopped down on your bed, replaying Chan’s words over and over again in your mind.
He was right. You should end it before you get hurt, but Hyunjin was acting like he was doing all those sweet things without a hidden intention. But again, you couldn’t be sure.
You let your thoughts and fatigue consume you as you drift off to sleep.
-
Monday rolled by quickly and the boys had practice again. Hyunjin had invited you to stay and watch them rehearsed for their upcoming showcase. You were on the couch, working on assignments on your laptop quietly, careful not to disturb them. Once in a while, you would peak up from your laptop to glance at them. The atmosphere today was more intense than other days, probably due to the nearing showcase. Chan was scolding unusually more today as well, but being an outsider, you didn’t say much and chose to focus on your work instead.
After you were done, the boys were still busy practicing their last song. You shut your laptop and made a quick run to the cafeteria to get some energy drinks, like how you always would if the boys allowed you to stay. With your hands full of drinks, you dashed back to the practice room. You kicked the door open lightly and was greeted with the sight of very exhausted looking boys, some lazing against the foggy mirror, others pacing around the room, panting. You went around the room, passing one bottle to each of them. They thanked you one by one and you watch them gulp the drink down. After they had all caught their breath, Hyunjin approached you and enveloped you into a big bear hug.
“Thank you again for being so thoughtful,” He say, pecking the top of your head before letting you go.
“Hyunjin, you are such a lucky guy. Y/N is so thoughtful,” Woojin say, patting Hyunjin’s shoulder.
“Yeah, I don’t think any of your previous girlfriends had bought us drinks before.” Changbin say, tossing the empty bottle in the trash.
“Thanks Y/N,” Chan patted your head as he walked past you and towards his bag on the couch. “Alright team, I think we are done for the day. We all did well today. Let’s maintain the level of energy we had today for the subsequent practices. Get some rest,”. Everyone, including you, began packing up and making their way out one by one. You were almost done but Hyunjin stopped you.
“I want to talk to you about something privately,” He say. You nodded and leaned back on the couch, waiting for the rest of the team to leave the room. Chan tossed you the key and took his leave as well, leaving the two of you alone in the practice room.
“So, what was it you wanted to talk about?” you put the key Chan had tossed over earlier onto the table before turning to Hyunjin.
“This is really awkward for me to talk about, so do you mind if we do something while we talk?”
“Like?”
“Maybe slow dancing?”
“Erm, I don’t exactly know how to slow dance.”
“Don’t worry, I can teach you.” He pulled you up from the couch, before continuing, “May I?”
You nodded. He put on some slow, romantic music before guiding your hands to his neck. You wrapped your arms around his neck, while his hands found your waist. He pulled you close, letting you rest your head on his wide chest. Soon, he began swaying from side to side and you followed suit.
“So, what was it that you wanted to talk about?” you asked, pulling away slightly so you could look at him in the eyes.
“It’s about the upcoming showcase.”
“What about it?”
“We put up a teaser online recently and I have been receiving a lot of harsh comments about my dancing. They say it’s not clean, it’s lacking and I don’t suit being the centre for the upcoming showcase.” Hyunjin drop his head on your shoulder, sighing. “It’s just been really hard because I take so much pride in my dancing and people aren’t satisfied by it. I just don’t know what I should do. I try to change it up but Chan hyung criticised me for it earlier. Even Minho hyung was disappointed at my dancing. I just have a lot on my mind. I’m sorry for rambling,”
You moved your arms down and began patting his back. “Oh Hyunjin, you don’t have to change yourself to please others. Your style of dancing is unique and perfect in every single way. You shouldn’t change yourself for others. Chan and Minho probably criticised you because he felt that your dance lacked individuality. I believe they meant well, so don’t take it to heart.”. You could see the hurt and sadness in his eyes as Hyunjin lifts his head to meet your eyes.
It must have been a bad day. You thought to yourself as you lower your arms down, grabbing his hands before giving them a little squeeze.
“Thanks Y/N. You’re really easy to talk to and I really like that. I really appreciate you, taking your time out to talk to me.” He squeezed your hands back.
“So, do I get anything in return?” You asked jokingly.
“Wow, now I have to pay you to listen to me? You’re so heartless, Y/N.”
“I’m just kidding, you idiot.” You poke the centre of his chest lightly, grinning.
“How about more slow dance lessons? You could surely use some more in preparation for the upcoming school dance,” Hyunjin teased.
“What are you trying to imply, Hwang Hyunjin?” You raised one of your brows, folding your arms as you study Hyunjin’ facial expressions. It was clear he was trying to imply that you were a horrible dancer. To be fair, he wasn’t wrong. You were nowhere near his level, and you never will.
“Whatever you wish to think of it as,” He replied, shrugging, making you more and more irritated by the minute. “So?” He added, putting out his hand, prompting you to accept his offer.
“Meh,” You shrugged, placing your hand in his. “It’s a deal,”
-
For the next few days, you and Hyunjin didn’t hang out as much. You were busy with project meetings and rushing deadlines while, Hyunjin was busy with practice as usual. Despite not seeing him as often, you didn’t feel that lonely because the both of you still called or talked to each other through the window every night. Initially, you were hopeful. You both remained in contact besides your busy schedules and you both shared a special moment together in the practice room a few days ago. He opened up to you, so it must have meant something…. right?
However, recently, Hyunjin began mentioning Amelie more in your conversations. He would tell you about how Amelie began noticing him, how she also started approaching him after school and how she even taunted him for having you as a girlfriend wasn’t good enough for him.
She wasn’t wrong. Compared to her, the pretty, popular, head cheerleader who probably spends her day exercising, maintaining her pretty figure or socialising. On the other hand, you were an average – looking, unpopular nerd who spends your days binge watching Netflix in your unappealing pjs.
On a particular day, Tuesday, you were unable to sit with the guys during lunch again due to the project meeting you had with your teammates for your History class. After getting yourself a sandwich, you sat down at the table and opened up your laptop in preparation for the discussion you were about to have.
All of a sudden, from the corner of your eye, you see Hyunjin stomping up to your table. Before you could greet him and ask him what was wrong, he pulled you up from your seat. His fingers travelled to your jaw, lifting your chin up before pressing his lips forcefully on yours. Your eyes grow wide as a mixture of shock, confusion and anger filled your system. He just broke rule #2 – no kissing on the lips. You push Hyunjin away, causing him to stumble backwards.
"What the hell?!" You yelled.
Instead of answering you, Hyunjin turned back and yelled, “I told you I'm no longer scared to show my love in public. Is my point proven?"
You step aside, only to see Amelie a good distance behind him, shrugging. “I guess you changed,” You hear her say.
"Seriously Hyunjin?! You kissed me to prove a fucking point?!" Anger and humiliation took over the shock and confusion. You wiped your lips with your jacket sleeves and apologised to your teammates.
“Y/N, wait. I can explain,“ Hyunjin grabbed your arm. You shook him off, not wanting to hear any of his explanation with your current state of mind. You grabbed all of your belongings and ran out of the cafeteria that was quickly filling with murmurs at every corner. You burst out in tears the moment you were out the door.
A few days ago, you were overjoyed that you finally had some kind of actual progression with Hyunjin. You thought you finally stood a chance in winning him over, but ultimately, the truth had dawned upon you.
You were never once on his mind. You were never once had a place in his heart and you never will.
Your running came to a stop as emotions began to drain your energy away. You looked around and realised your legs had unconsciously brought you to the dance studio. You gazed at your reflection on the window, noticing your bloodshot eyes and tear – stained cheeks. You pulled your jacket sleeve down once more to wipe the evidence of you crying away. Using your free hand, you twisted the doorknob and pushed the door open, only to see Chan sitting on the floor with his laptop in front of him. Chan looked up from his laptop and pulled out one of his earpieces, greeting you with a smile like how he always does.
"Oh Y/N, if you're looking for Hyunjin, he’s in the cafeteria with the guys," Chan said, putting his laptop away. He hopped up from his seat and approached you. You lowered your head to hide the redness in your eyes and nose, but Chan being the quick – witted guy he was, had caught on that something wrong. He cupped your cheeks and forced you to look at him. "Why are you crying? Did something happen?"
Chan’s words unintentionally triggered you again, causing you to burst out in tears once again. Chan removed his hands from your tear – soaked cheeks and walked over to lock the door, before returning to your side again. He wrapped his arms around you. You buried your face into his chest, forming incoherent sentences in between sobs. Chan held you the entire time, patting your back from time to time to calm you down.
After a good ten minutes of tear shedding and gibberish, you were calm. Chan let you go and walked over to the shelves to grab you a box of tissues. You took the box from him and sat down on the floor, leaning against the cold mirror.
“Do you think you could explain again why you were crying? I couldn’t really understand earlier,”
“I don’t want anyone to overhear this,” You murmured under your breath.
“Don’t worry, I locked the door earlier and this room is soundproof, remember? So, what happened?” Chan prompted you again.
You explained everything to Chan. Throughout your explanation, Chan looked at you with an irritated gaze. After you were done, Chan let out a huge sigh.
"Oh Y/N, I told you it was a dangerous game to play."
"Not helping," you sniffled, pulling out a tissue to blow your nose. "What should I do now?"
"Well, what does your heart tells you?”
My heart…….
“You have to decide that on your own,” Chan say, patting your head. Before you could thank him, you could hear the rough twisting of the doorknob as well as loud knocking from the other side of the door. “Well, it’s time to decide.” Chan added, getting up to unlock the door. The moment the door was unlocked, Hyunjin barged into the room, looking absolutely breathless.
“You ran away so quickly, I couldn’t keep up and I didn’t know where you went. I searched everywhere for you. Then, I came here and realised the door was locked so I –” Chan put his hand on Hyunjin’s shoulder, cutting Hyunjin off.
“I’ll leave you two to talk.” Chan looked at you, giving you a reassuring nod before leaving the room. Hyunjin locked the door and turned to you.
"Are you okay? Sorry, I didn't mean to suddenly kiss you. I know I went against one of the rules we set, but Amelie was taunting me about how I haven’t changed, how I was still afraid to show affection in public. My emotions got the better of me and I just –"
You stood up and walked over to him, pressing a finger onto his lips. "You promised me more slow dance classes. Can we have a short one now?"
"Right now? But why?"
"Please?"
He nodded, giving in to your sudden request. He placed his hands on your waist while you wrap yours around his neck and you two began to sway from side to side, just like before.
"Why did you want to slow dance all of a sudden?"
"Shush, Hyunjin. Just listen to me okay?" Hyunjin nod, and you continued, "You know how's my family is like right? Always moving around, parents always travelling overseas for business stuff. I really hated moving because it means I would lose all my friends that I have made there. That's why I try not to forge deep friendship with anyone so I wouldn't be sad or hurt when I have to leave them. But, after I moved here, for the first time in a long time, I met someone who I was afraid of losing. Someone who I want to spend every day with. Someone who I was falling in love with every day, my first love. We soon became best friends, but he never saw me as anything more than a friend. Being the stubborn kid I was, I didn’t want to give up just yet. In fact, I challenged myself and tried to make him look my way. After so many years, he still never did. And once we got older, we drifted apart. But even then, I couldn't forget about him and continued to love him."
"So, what happened between you and that person?"
"We reconnected recently." You replied him, smiling a little as your mind began to fill with memories of that fateful day Hyunjin had approached you again.
"That's great, you-"
You pressed a finger to his lips again, “Please let me finish. He had requested for me to do something crazy for him. I knew it was a bad idea for me to agree but I was so heads over heels for him that I agreed to this ridiculous request." You sighed. Hyunjin shot you a 'what was it' look.
"He told me to pose as his girlfriend so he could win his ex-girlfriend back."
Hyunjin's jaw dropped, pulling away from you, realising that the male lead in your story was him all along.
Before you allowed him to regain his composure, you continued, "I thought this could be my only chance to make him look my way. Despite all my effort and being with him for almost 2 months, nothing changed. Thus, I came to a conclusion that he will probably never look at me the same way I look at him so... it's about time I gave up – gave up for good."
"Y/N, I-I never knew that…. How you… I –" Hyunjin panicked, fumbling over his words.
"Of course not, you're the densest guy in this whole world. Plus, I've never been the one who's occupying your heart. Never been and never will." You sighed, looking away. You knew if you looked at him, your heart would ache even more and tears would spill.
"Y/N, I-" You stood on your tippy toes and pressed your lips on Hyunjin's, cutting him off and leaving him stunned. You moved your hands down to hold his hands.
“Payback,” You joked, trying to conceal the sadness pooling in your heart. "Thank you for the past few months. Even though it was nothing but an act or a game, I still felt very happy with you. Also, thank you for letting me love you for the past 10 years. I have never regretted loving you and I never will, but all good things must come to an end. Thank you for everything, Hwang Hyunjin. Please be happy with the love of your life. Goodbye,"
With that, you let his hands go, for good.

how stray kids say “i love you”.
[based on “one hundred ways to say i love you”; gifs belong to their owners!]
nb: I have a “little” writing project in the works and I’m hoping to make good progress on that soon, so, for now, please accept these headcanons.
Bang Chan: “It’s okay. I couldn’t sleep anyway.”
I feel like we could see this coming from a mile away tbh
But seriously, Chan is usually producing or working on something, but he constantly reminds you that he’s always available to you if you ever want to talk or, if he can, meet up. gosh, whatta workaholic.
He knows he’s really busy so he wants to be there for you as much as he can even if it’s only over the phone, especially because you’re always there for him and supporting him.
Even if it’s when he’s sleeping, he won’t mind you calling him. He’ll pick up the phone and talk as long as you want. He will never make you feel like a burden, and he never wants you to feel troubled bc he a busy bee.
Woojin: “You didn’t have to ask.”
Ngl, this one was weirdly more difficult to choose but I ended up with this one largely for two reasons.
One: Woojin is really observant about things to the point where you two can communicate without words.
Two: Woojin also has a really good memory so he remembers your habits when you’re about to do something or want something, and he remembers what you like in general.
He’s more than willing to do whatever you want or get whatever you want, but please pay with chicken kisses.
Minho: “Can I kiss you?” [+ “I love you.”]
Lee Minho is a shy and awkward babyboy who has trouble speaking in front of crowds and making friends; in this essay i will--
seriously, though, this little bias wrecker probably has trouble expressing exactly how he feels sometimes so he ends up either showing it through his actions or being super direct.
He knows he loves you and he either tells you that directly or in his kiss, but he always asks before he goes to kiss you. It’s out of respect for your privacy and consent, but sometimes he wishes he could surprise you with a kiss. Just out the blue.
It’s the worst when you’re concentrating on something, and he’s just kinda staring at you with this adoring look until you finally look up and there’s just this pause before “...can I kiss you?” *cue me, screaming*
Changbin: “I’ll walk you home.”
um i’m kinda soft for tough!changbin but I also know he’s babyboy pt.2
anyway, when he’s not being super soft and cute, he actually is a pretty protective boyfriend, and it’s partially due to the fact that he has a sister, loves his momma, and his dad taught him to protect them.
If he can, he will always take or walk you home, especially if you live in the city. Even if he knows you don’t really need it whether that’s because it’s only a block away or because you are fully capable of taking care of yourself, he walks you to your door to make sure you get in safe.
Also loves the little thank you kiss (read as: kisses) he gets, ngl
Hyunjin: “I brought you an umbrella.”
mayhaps i partially chose this because of this exact segment on weekly idol BUT that’s also just who Hyunjin is; tbh i wanted the other gif of him with the umbrella with his little eye smile but i couldn’t find it
he’s 100% willing and wanting to go out of his way if it makes a part of your life a little bit easier, so it’s more like the umbrella thing is more of an example of what he does to show he loves you.
he does the same with bringing you lunch or coffee or really just anything that you may need in your day and he (usually) shows up with perfect timing, it’s kinda creepy sometimes but he has good intentions
but it also just shows that he’s thinking about you constantly and he wants to help make your life easier.
Jisung: “I want you to be happy.”
i usually avoid gifs with words on it but this one kinda actually works?
okay, we all know that our little goofball is always making people laugh and wanting them to enjoy themselves especially when they’re not exactly having a great day, but it goes beyond that
Jisung knows what it’s like to really be struggling with something, so he wants to be able to help you anyway he can. He doesn’t joke around when it comes to something serious, and he proves that to you.
There are multiple ways to make people happy, and Jisung wants to make you happy any way that he can whether that is just making you laugh or having deep conversations at 3 a.m.
Felix: “That’s okay, I bought two.”
yes. you would be correct. This is largely because of what he puilled on Hyunjin at the airport and Hyunjin was like “it was so cool, like a drama!” but there wasn’t one that expressed exactly what I wanted
to explain, Felix loves being your first for things. It’s his cute way of being involved in your life and making important memories with you that you’ll remember for a long time.
so, if he finds out that you’ve never gotten something, he’ll try to be all suave and cool about it and get it for you without you noticing until BAM he pulls out this line like a tsundere male lead in a romcom kdrama
it’s the same thing with places. you’ve never been to a certain restaurant? he makes a reservation. you’ve never ridden on a train? he buys tickets.
Seungmin: “I was just thinking about you.”
Seungmin is a man of few words because I feel like he’s just a thinking type, but he’s soft and cute to you
this’ll be his way of saying i love you after he first realizes he does. you’ll be meeting up for a date or something and he’ll see you in the distance looking all pretty and cute and he’ll just think “wow i am in love”
but he pretends like he didn’t notice you a while ago and you’ll finally find him in the cafe y’all were meeting at all out a breath because you ran to get there and he thinks you’re so cute so he just says that
he keeps saying that instead of “i love you”, even if you two are just cuddling on the couch and you ask what he’s thinking about cause he’s so quiet, until you finally realize and respond “I love you too”
side note: wow Princess Bride feels and I didn’t even think about it
Jeongin: “It’s not heavy. I’m stronger than I look.”
ah, yes. the maknae. I feel like he’s more baby to me than others because he’s younger than me, so I might a bit biased about his?
anyway, Jeongin recognizes that he’s babied by the other members and other people, and while he appreciates it, he also feels like he needs to prove himself a lot because of that.
so one way that he ends up doing that is by treating you like royalty tbh. his baby is not going to lift a box or open any doors (except the fridge door. he tried one day and you insisted that no, he would not)
He knows that you can take care of yourself, but he just wants to prove that he can be helpful to people too instead of relying on others all of that time. It can be a little tiresome, but it’s kinda sweet and he means well.

heroine addict | yang jeongin
genre: journalism student!jeongin x heroine!reader | superhero au ; college au summary: yang jeongin is failing his journalism classes and needs an article of the century to bring his grade up. when the city’s heroine saves his life, he thinks a biography about you is just the topic to save him from failing. when you don’t agree to an interview, jeongin ends up risking his life daily just so he can see you. one of these days you’ll say yes to him (you do). wc: 8k a/n: happy super belated jeongin day!! i love you ; ~ ; enjoy!
It’s midday as you’re sitting on top of the city’s tallest building with your legs dangling over the edge, bored out of your mind. The view from above isn’t as beautiful compared to the night since the sun is so blinding - mostly because you can’t see anything, period. Why your boss insisted on you taking a day shift, you’ll never know why. Nothing cool ever happens during the day anyways, so what was the point?
“Since your class got cancelled, I figured you’d want something to do,” Woojin explained through your earpiece. “Don’t you like getting paid?”
“But I’m so bored ~” you whined for the hundredth time. “You don’t have any leads? A drug bust? A planned robbery? Anything???”
“Not at this time. Just watch for some dumb kid who isn’t paying attention while crossing the street. There’s plenty of those, especially around the college campuses.”
“You know from personal experience?” you teased.
“Don’t make me disable your suit.”
You ignored Woojin’s threats and followed his orders, continuing to watch over the boring city. It was fun to tease him all the time, but you always obeyed his orders whenever he gave them because he always knew what was best. Whether he told you to go ahead and attack with full force or to hold back and be cautious, you never questioned his orders. You’re not sure what it is about Woojin, but you trusted that man with your whole life, for God only knows why.
You remember the exact day and time when he approached you for his little project. It was a Monday, of all days, at 7:15 PM where you two shared barbecue over a hot grill and a whole pitcher of beer. You’ve known that studious man for a long time and you never took him for someone who would drink on a Monday but when he said it was his treat, who were you to complain and be suspicious?
But that was his plan all along - to treat you out for good food, get you a little tipsy and bam! He pitched you his project at your peak giggliness when your face was all pink and warm.
“Did you say you wanted me to try out your supersuit?” you snorted.
“Yup.”
“A supersuit like for superheroes?”
“That’s right.”
“You’re kidding, right?”
“I am one hundred percent serious.”
“You know I’m like, athletically challenged.”
“That’s exactly why I think you’d be the perfect test subject! I know exactly how fast you can run, how much you can lift, how flexible you are - all of it will be maxed out with this suit.”
“Wha - have you been watching me!?”
“Don’t be mad, but I kind of stole your physical records from high school,” Woojin snickered.
“What the hell, dude!”
“You’re surprisingly good at stretching, if you ask me.”
“You’re so weird…”
“So you’ll do it or what?” he begged, giving you his cute little pout and puppy eyes he knew you could never resist.
“... Fine, you weirdo Edna Mode impersonator.”
“Jokes on you, I take that as the highest form of a compliment.”
From then on, you agreed to whatever testing would follow. You’ve tried and tested nearly a dozen suits since your partnership, but none were perfect enough for the perfectionist engineer Woojin. The latest model - the one that you were currently wearing - is the closest he thinks he can get to said perfection, at least for now. Rumor has it that he’s already got another suit in the making for you.
Even through the uncomfortably intimate suit fittings, rigorous physical conditioning, and the life threatening crimes you saved the city from, you honestly wouldn’t trade this for anything else. You’ve tasted the rush, tasted the fame, and now you’re addicted and there was no going back.
For the next couple of hours until your next class, you stayed on top of the tallest building in the city overlooking the people and talking to Woojin about his day.
It was late afternoon when Jeongin left his class with a solemn look on his incredibly pale face. In his hands, he held his quarterly assignment that had a huge fat F in red at the top of the page. After talking with his professor, they said there was still a chance for him to bring up his grade with the other three assignments still left, but how the hell was he supposed to do that when he genuinely thought his article about the local pet shelter was good!?
Maybe this major isn’t for me, he thought negatively. Maybe I should just switch… But to what? Everything else is so boring.
Jeongin was in his own little world as he walked from the campus to the hustle and bustle of the city. He wasn’t really paying attention to his surroundings as he mapped out his future with different majors he thought about switching to. With wide eyes and a dazed look on his face, he walked through crowds and crossed streets mindlessly - so mindlessly that people moved out of the way for him so as to not bump into him.
At one of the busiest intersections in the city, Jeongin crossed the street on a red light. The taxi horn honking at him seemed to fade in and by the time he realized what was happening, it was too late for him to react.
This is it. He patiently waited for the taxi to hit, but it never came.
Loud gasps and camera clicks were what brought a dazy Jeongin back to reality. Everything was loud as it should be and that’s when he knew he was no longer daydreaming and that the taxi missed him.
Or rather the taxi didn’t get the chance to hit him.
There you were with both hands on the taxi and deep dents beneath them, indicating your method of stopping the taxi from hitting the poor boy. Jeongin stared at you with wide eyes, mentally pinching himself so he knew he wasn’t dreaming. He couldn’t believe it! You, the city’s fallen angel who graced them with your powers to protect the people, were right in front of him! You’re the city’s local celebrity - you’re all the news reporters ever talk about -
News… Oh shit, he was going to be on the news! Well, this was his ultimate career goal, wasn't it? Plus it’ll look good on his resume... But wait, if he gets a picture, maybe he could use you for his next assignment and -
“Are you alright?” you asked carefully, waving a hand in front of the boy’s shocked face. He hadn’t moved since you stopped the taxi and you were beginning to worry that he was frozen from fear.
The boy cleared his throat and nodded his head vigorously. Your eyes were so big and bright beneath your mask, staring so intensely at him, that he had a hard time looking at you. How cute, you made him nervous!
“Y-Yes, I’m good! Great, actually!” he stuttered.
“That’s good,” you giggled. Your laugh was sweet like sugar to everyone’s ears and onlookers wondered how Jeongin was able to compose himself when you were so close to him. Truth be told, he forgot how to breathe, so that helped. “You should be more careful, especially during the rush hour.”
Way to look like an idiot. Jeongin cleared his throat. “Of course! I’m sorry for the trouble.”
“No trouble at all. I’m just happy you’re safe.”
The cute boy burned a dark red from your smile for everyone to see. Before he could ask for a picture, you jumped high up in the air and in the blink of an eye, you were gone as fast as you arrived. As the crowd dispersed with their eyes glued to their phones, it seemed that everyone got a picture or a video of you except him! So not only did Jeongin completely make a fool of himself in front of you and the entire city for not reading the street lights, he was a fool who lost the opportunity for the best student article in his university’s history!
But that’s ok because he’ll catch you next time. He’ll make sure of it. Even if it means walking in front of a taxi again.
“You’re such a flirt,” Woojin teased through the bluetooth.
“I am not!” you pouted, hopping from building to building away from the scene.
“Please, ‘no trouble at all, I’m just happy you’re safe ~’ Who says that?”
“Superheroes, Woojin… Superheroes say that.”
“Yeah, but not like THAT.”
“Whatever! He’s cute!”
“I knew it.”
You spent the rest of the day thinking about how cute his blushing face was.
The deadline for the next assignment was approaching quickly and to his bad luck, Jeongin hadn’t seen you since you saved him from the taxi. Until he’d meet you again, he took this time to research everything and anything about you, but sadly, there wasn’t much for him to work with. All he could come up with was your guestimated age, your height, and who you work for. He thought he’d be able to dig deeper when he found out you were associated with KimTech, but there was nothing.
But this was good! Really good! This meant that if he could interview you, then he’d be the first to know all about you. He’d be the very first reporter to get the scoop on the city’s one and only heroine. But this wasn’t going to be easy - from the handful of interviews he’s watched, it didn’t look like you liked people knowing things about you. You kept your interviews short and sweet - practically one-liners. You were a complete mystery, and that only attracted Jeongin more to you. He would have to find a way to work around this.
That is if he ever met you again.
The same time everyday after that same journalism class, he went to the same intersection and took a step on the crosswalk at the red light. He thought that maybe recreating the scene would bring you out of the shadows again, but it didn’t work. Maybe he wasn’t in danger enough? But was Jeongin really about to risk his life just for a school assignment?
Hell yeah, he was.
Day-by-day, Jeongin tried risking his life a little more at a time. From taking steps at a red light, to standing too close to the edge of the train stations, to even standing on the rooftops on campus buildings, he tried his all to get your attention but for some reason it wasn’t working. Didn’t you have like, a radar or something? Or like some KimTech device that let you know when people were in danger? Jeongin was fake trying to die here and it was like you were ignoring him!
He had to go bigger.
There was a hotel smack in the center of the city. It was the tallest, most glamorous boutique hotel where only celebrities and international business people stayed. It was a privilege in itself to step foot on the marble tiles and Jeongin knew all too well how that felt. He wasn’t a stranger to the hotel and especially not the rooftop. No one ever questioned him whenever he walked in because they all assumed he was a busboy for the banquet hall and he never corrected anyone for situations just like this. So using his privilege, Jeongin took the elevator straight to the empty rooftop. Usually, the roof would be closed for private events, but tonight was the only night this week when it wasn’t booked. Lucky him, huh?
The view up there was absolutely stunning. He couldn’t really see the stars, but the lights from the city twinkled just as beautifully. And most of all, it was quiet. Quiet and peaceful. Maybe he should come up here more often when he wasn’t trying to attract the city’s heroine.
Jeongin hopped up on the ledge that was made to protect tipsy celebrities from falling to their death. The tips of his sneakers peaked over the corner and never before had he felt so alive! For a moment, distracted by the warm glow of the city lights, he forgot the whole reason why he was up here. He closed his eyes and breathed in the cool air. If only he could fly.
A hand grabbed onto his and yanked him backwards, causing him to fall hard on his ass on the concrete rooftop.
“Ow! What the -!!”
“Are you crazy!?”
Hovering over his cowering form was just the girl he was looking for. He was surprised how upset you seemed, with your eyes so big and your brows furrowed. What were you so upset about? Didn’t you go through stuff like this everyday?
“Hello,” Jeongin greeted sheepishly. “Can I help you?”
“I know you,” you said, pointing an accusing finger. When you recognized him, your face softened and Jeongin could breathe a sigh of relief. “You’re the cute boy who almost got ran over by a taxi.”
“You remember me, huh?” he blushed. “Wait, cute?”
“What do you think you’re doing up here?” You asked, ignoring his question.
“Getting some fresh air…?”
“While standing on the ledge!?”
“I live life on the ledge. Get it? Life on the ledge?” When you didn’t look the slightest amused, Jeongin cleared his throat, stood up, and dusted himself off. “I’m sorry.”
“You’re not very smart, are you?”
“Sometimes I can be.”
“Will you pretend to be smart and stay off the ledge then? I’d like a peaceful, bloodless night, thank you.” As you were saying this, you were already drifting away from him.
Wait, he still had to interview you! “If I say I won’t, will you stay?”
You raised a curious brow. Was this his way of asking you to stay? “And then what, I’ll babysit you?”
“I prefer the term ‘supervise’.”
“Hm, babysitting or saving the city?” you sang, weighing your options. The right answer was obvious, but the wrong answer was quite tempting if you were being honest. This boy may have some adrenaline high or he was just really stupid, but that’s what made him interesting. You can’t remember the last time someone popped up on the radar this often, either. It was almost like he was trying to get your attention, but why?
“The city can hold off their addiction to their heroine for a little while, right?”
His dimpled grin was almost too cute to resist. Almost. “Maybe some other time. Gotta save the city from people like you, y’know?”
“Wait -!”
You disappeared again, but that wouldn’t stop Jeongin this time. This time he was going to follow you. How, you ask? Social media was his powerful weapon.
Jeongin ran between alleys, hopped on different trains, hell he even ordered a taxi just so he could keep up with you. He got closer and closer each time trying to catch you (thanks to an accurate update Twitter account), but every time he arrived to the scene of the crime, you were already gone. The people who witnessed your act of vigilance were kind enough to point him in the direction you flew off to, but even with that help, he could barely keep up. After nearly three hours of running around the city and harboring the defeat, he decided that he’d just risk his life for you some other time.
Whether you were hiding in the shadows or up on rooftops, you watched the cute boy run to all of your locations. So he was following you. He was determined and you’re still unsure why, but the effort didn’t go unnoticed. If he tried to catch your attention again, then maybe you’ll entertain him a little bit.
“Poor kid,” Woojin snickered in your ear. “Why are you making it so hard for him?”
“I don’t know what he wants from me. He could be trying to trick me for all we know.”
“He looks harmless ~”
“Maybe he’s just a good actor.”
“Wouldn’t count on that.”
“You’re suggesting I should see what he wants?”
Why not? I’m bored with all these misdemeanors. The taxi thing was the most exciting thing you’ve done in a long time thanks to him. Besides, you could use some friends.”
“I have friends!”
“New friends.”
“Just say you’re bored of me, it’ll hurt less,” you muttered. “Fine, I’ll see what he wants, but only if he shows up on the radar again.”
“I’ll keep you posted.”
Jeongin showed up on your radar every single day this week. Sometimes only once a day, often times twice, and way more frequently when the weekend came around.
The first time was the day after you caught him on the hotel rooftop. That day, you found yourself back to the scene of the crime.
“Again with the ledge, huh?” you scolded while hovering over him. “Too lazy to pick some other building?”
Yesterday you caught him when the skies were as black as the parts on your suit. Today the sun was shining brightly and this was the first time Jeongin got a really good look at you. Your suit was primarily black and white with accents and stitching in what he assumed was your favorite color. Your mask was black too, but they shaped your eyes and made them pop in the prettiest way. Your hair was everywhere like it had no sense of gravity, but somehow it stayed untangled.
You were beautiful. Quite possibly the most beautiful heroine he’d ever seen, but definitely the most beautiful heroine he risked his life for to corner for an interview for a project so he wouldn’t flunk out of college.
“If it’s not broken, don’t fix it, right?” he replied while rubbing his butt. “Can you please be more gentle next time? I bruise like a banana.”
“Next time? There’s a next time?”
“If you say no, there will be.”
“No to what?”
“A one-on-one interview with me.”
You moved far away from Jeongin and he was afraid you were going to fly away again, but you stayed hovering past the edge so that he couldn’t reach you. He couldn’t read your face but if he had to guess, you weren’t too thrilled about the idea.
“Is this what the tabloid companies have you reporters doing these days? Risking your lives just for one interview? Ha!” you scoffed harshly. “You guys are really a pain in the ass.”
“No, you don’t understand -”
“Oh, I understand. You know, it’s wonder how I’m able to keep my identity hidden without you rats all up in my business everyday! You’re everywhere and every single one of you is so distracting that I almost miss my targets! You’re the real crime of the city I could never get rid of. Put that in your article.”
“Wait - !!”
But you were gone again, with your cheeks so red from anger being the only thing Jeongin could think about that day.
Way to go, idiot, now she’ll never say yes to you.
The next day, Jeongin tried again, but chose a different rooftop so you wouldn’t be suspicious. He hoped your high tech radar detection thingy didn’t show his face otherwise this plan wouldn’t work anymore. Jeongin patiently sat on the edge, waiting and hoping to see you fly to him somewhere off in the distance. To his luck, he guessed your radar majig didn’t have facial recognition by the way your face twisted in disgust upon seeing him.
“You’re only further proving my point,” you said. With your abnormally strong pointer finger, you pushed the boy off from the edge. Jeongin didn’t think you’d actually be more gentle trying to get him down this time.
He didn’t even get a word out before you flew away again.
Ok, now he was tired of your stubborn childishness. You wouldn’t even allow him to explain that he wasn’t working for the tabloids! He was a simple-minded college student who only wanted to pass this class. In reality, he probably still could if he chose another subject, but the Yangs were not quitters! Jeongin would see this through and no matter how long or what it took, he would get you to listen to his explanation and get his one-on-one interview with you.
The following three days was a battle between you and the cute boy who wouldn’t leave you alone. You flew across the city to different corners only to end up in front of him yet again. It was your own personal tour of the city. You’ll admit this game of cat and mouse was a little fun, but you had to remember what his intentions were. You couldn’t escape him. The boy was like the plague.
“Don’t you have caller ID on that thing?” you asked Woojin at your latest encounter, referring to his radar thinga-ma-bob. Jeongin waited patiently as you spoke like he wasn’t right in front of you.
“It often only reports where there’s suspicious activity, not who’s causing it.”
“Well, fix it.”
“Can you hear me out finally?” the boy interrupted. To Jeongin’s surprise, you stayed to listen to what he had to say, though he saw you hesitate. “Look, I don’t work for the tabloids.”
“Pfft.”
“No, really!”
“Then what do you need an interview for!?”
“I’m a journalism student.”
“Oh, I see now. You’re not working for the tabloids yet is what you’re saying. This is like a little teaser?”
“People who work for the tabloids are people who don’t have lives and prey upon those who do because theirs are so dull and idiotic!” he spat. God, did Jeongin hate being associated with such vermon! He saw your surprised expression at his sudden outburst. That was a good sign, right? “I’m trying to write a real article about you. So please, let me write about you, earnestly and honestly, before anyone can taint your name.”
“Just so we’re clear, you wouldn’t really be saving my name if it’s just for a school assignment.”
“Well no, but that should convince you even more, right?” he grinned cheekily while batting his eyelashes at you.
His grin didn’t falter even after you were done contemplating the idea for five whole minutes. The huge, overly-exaggerated sigh that left your lips let Jeongin know you were totally down for an interview. Finally, he got you to crack! But it wasn’t fair, he used his cuteness to his advantage.
“Do you have any past works I could look at?” you asked, feet landing on the rooftop.
“H-Huh?” he stuttered.
“Any past articles you’ve written? Or a portfolio maybe? I’d like to know how you’d be writing about me, of course.”
“Ah, I have one, but not on me, so we’ll just skip that -”
“What was it about?”
“Um… An animal shelter.”
“Oh, cute.”
“Buuuut I got an F on it.”
“Oh, no,” you groaned, pinching the skin between your eyes in frustration.
“But that was my first one! That was like a trial assignment, you know, like it doesn’t count.”
“Ugh!!!” you screamed into the clouds. That wasn’t the worst reaction to his failure Jeongin had in mind. “You’re totally going to ruin me!”
“No I won’t, I promise! I wasn’t passionate about that topic like I am with this one!”
“Are you saying you’re passionate about me?” you teased.
“I… Well, no, but… That’s not fair, you worded that funny.”
“I can’t believe I’m going to say this but… fine.”
“Wait, so you’ll let me do my assignment on you? You’ll really let me interview you?” You nodded shamefully. “Sweet! You won’t be disappointed!”
“Don’t fuck it up.”
“We can start tomorrow! Say, after my class on the original rooftop?”
For the first time in a week, Jeongin saw you smile the slightest bit. He liked you better this way. “Works for me.”
“Then it’s a date.”
Before you could correct his wording, it was his turn to leave without letting you get a word out. Now you were the one stuck in your spot while Jeongin was the one being smug over how he made you blush.
“Unbelievable…” you muttered.
Jeongin spent the whole night writing up questions to ask you. Since practically no one knew anything about you, he could get away with a few basic questions like what your favorite food or animal was. He’d later delve into the deeper questions, hoping they weren’t too personal to scare you off. He simply wanted to know the inner workings of the city’s local heroine, that’s all. Jeongin lost a lot of sleep last night specifically preparing for today. He got a brand new notepad, a new pen, and a fully charged camera - he was ready to pass his class.
It didn’t occur to him until now what you’d look like today. Would you be in your full outfit, suit and mask and all? Ah, but of course you had to be. There’s no way you’d be wearing your civilian clothes, right?
But what if you did? He wondered what kind of clothes you liked to wear. Were you a jeans and t-shirt type of person? Or maybe dresses and skirts? Whatever you wore on your down time, he was sure you’d look stunning regardless and he hoped he’d get to see you in them. Probably not today, or even the next time, but he hoped he’d see the normal you one day. The real you.
“Daydreaming on a rooftop isn’t very safe, you know.”
You snuck up behind him, causing him to jump and turn around. He was a bit disappointed but not surprised when he saw you in your suit. You looked exactly as he’d always seen you except you didn’t hold a scowl on your lips.
“I live life on the edge, remember?”
“Life on the ledge if I remember correctly.”
This rooftop was a lot fancier than you remembered. Then again, you didn’t focus on the furniture and decorations whenever you found him up here. He even had snacks and refreshments laid out on the table.
“Why aren’t you dressed normal?” the cute boy pouted.
“This is normal.”
“You know what I mean.”
“I can’t let the enemy know who I really am.” You saw him quickly scribble down what you said onto his fresh notepad. “Wait, are you writing that down?”
“Of course! I need to write down as much detail about you as possible! That way I have more to work with to write the perfect article.”
You really shouldn’t be trusting his words so easily. “If you say so.”
“Ok, first question: what is your name?”
“Seriously? That’s your first question?”
“You can’t blame me when you never gave yourself a superhero name! Personally, I think this is a great way to start off your biography.”
“I thought this was just an interview!?”
“Same thing.”
He was right, though - you didn’t have a superhero name. Not because you were trying to be cool and remain slightly anonymous, it was that you nor Woojin couldn’t think of anything that suited you. But it was kind of cool that you didn’t go by any name.
You told Jeongin your name. “My real name is _____.”
“You’re ok with telling me that?”
You simply shrugged. “It’s just my first name.”
“I thought I’d take months - years, even - for me to know your real name.”
“Don’t be so dramatic.”
“_____, huh? I like it. It suits you.” His dimpled grin yet again did wonders on your sensitive heart. Why were cute boys your kryptonite? “What do you do when you’re not out here saving us from taxis or drug pushers?”
Jeongin was able to get a giggle out of you and his ego couldn’t have been higher. That’s a good sign you were liking the interview so far, right? “I’m a student just like you.”
“Really!?” he screeched. “You don’t seem like the academic type.”
“That’s funny coming from someone who had to risk their life to save their grade.”
“Ah, I didn’t mean it like that! I meant it like… Like how do you even have the time to do both?”
“I have to pay for college somehow, right?”
Jeongin took note of how tired your smile looked. It must be exhausting trying to pass your classes and then flying around saving idiots like himself from crosswalks. You probably slept like four hours a night or something. He started to regret all the times he had you chasing him all over the city. Maybe he could make it up to you.
“Do you even like school? Why not just work for KimTech as a full time heroine?”
“Do you know how much insurance costs for heroes? A lot! Benefits from a career would make my life much easier.”
For the duration of the interview, Jeongin asked you the basic surface questions. Some were more personal than others, but this would be a good introductory type of article instead of one big one that dug deep into your life. Who knows, maybe he could use you again for this other assignments and dig deeper each time.
Initially, you were terrified going into this blindly. He could have been lying that he was a student the whole time, and he still could be! But somehow you knew he wasn’t. He didn’t interview you like you were the first celebrity he could catch on the street. He talked to you like he was getting to know a new friend. He made you feel at ease and comfortable and you just let your answers flow out. Something about that smile of his made it so easy.
“Wow, it’s already late. You don’t have to save anyone tonight?” Jeongin asked after two hours had passed.
You shook your head. “I don’t think so… Woojin hasn’t said anything today, so…”
“Woojin? Is that your boyfriend…?”
“Oh God, no, he’s one of the head engineers for KimTech. He made my suit.”
“Ah, I see.”
“Yeah, so there’s no need to get jealous.”
“That’s not why I asked ~” he whined.
“Is the interview over?”
“Technically yes, but I didn’t manage to ask all of my questions. I stopped after number three and we kind of went on a tangent and just kept on talking. Time flew right past us, I guess.”
“Oh. Did you want to reschedule for another time?”
“Like for another interview? Really?”
Would he really be able to see you again? The boy’s wide eyes sparkled cutely, so how could you say no to him? “Sure. You have to finish this some time, right?”
“I’d really like that,” he grinned. “Tomorrow?”
“Same time, same place.”
“Awesome! It’s a date! Stay safe while saving the city, ok?”
“Quit calling it a date!” you blushed, but the sneaky boy was already running away cackling. “He’s so weird…”
Yes, he’s weird, but that’s why you liked him.
“This wasn’t what I had in mind when I asked about wearing your normal clothes…”
Jeongin raised a questioning brow at you as he said that. You had a hoodie on with one of those popular logos spread across the chest but you wore your supersuit and eye mask just underneath it. It was kind of adorable, but it looked like you were just really bad at trying to disguise yourself.
“Think of it as a compromise, hm? It’s a bit chilly today, anyways.”
You watched the boy take out a his notebook that was already flipped to where you left off yesterday. Though you only answered three questions, it took up the entire page. He literally wrote down everything you said, word for word.
“Can I take a look?” you asked, gesturing to his notebook.
“Sure. Sorry if it’s all over the place. I tried to think of every possible cool question there was and I wrote them down whenever I could.”
He was right, the notebook was a total mess. The questions were written out of the lines, in the margins, and at the top by the header. But the best part about his notebook were the little doodles he had of you. Your mask, the suit design, even your silhouette was doodled all throughout his notebook. Up until now, you thought this whole chasing you around thing and finally catching an interview were innocent, but was he really this interested in you? Or maybe he was infatuated?
“Nice doodles,” you teased with a smirk.
Jeongin panicked and yanked the notebook away from your hands. SHIT, he completely forgot about those!
“On the days I waited for you to come find me, sometimes I’d get bored, so I doodled…”
“Ha! Cute ~”
There you go again, using that word! Was he cute? Were his doodles cute? Were all superheroes this flirty, or was it just the superheroines?
“Before we start, can I ask you something?” you began. “What’s your name?”
“My name? Have I really not told you yet?”
“I think I would have remembered if you told me.”
“It’s Jeongin. Yang Jeongin.”
“You’ve got an unforgettable name, Jeongin.”
“Ah, why do you keep doing that!?”
With a raised brow, you watched Jeongin ruffle his hair roughly. “Doing what?”
“Saying things like I’m cute and that I’m unforgettable and-and you keep smiling all weird!”
“Sorry, I thought I was just being nice ~ Should I stop?”
“I mean… You don’t have to… It’s actually kind of nice hearing those things once in a while.”
“You’re telling me people don’t walk up to you everyday and tell you how cute you are?” you teased.
“Surprising, right?” he said sarcastically. “I can barely get anyone to even look at me, let alone say stuff like that to me.”
“Then I’ll be the one to tell you that stuff everyday. Well, for as long as you’re interviewing me.”
“Ah, you don’t have to do that…”
“What if I said I want to?”
“But why…?” You shrugged, only worsening his confusion. He figured he’d leave it at that though - he’s only known you for a short time, but from the time he’s spent with you, he knows you enough that you probably wouldn’t elaborate. “You’re an interesting one, _____.”
“Ooh, make sure to write that in your article!”
The interview flew by faster than you could count. Jeongin made sure that you both stayed on topic this time around and he was finally able to get you to answer all of his stupid questions. Now he had enough information to write the best article about you! He’d get an A on this project, pass his class, and get you to smile from all the things he said about you.
“Your questions weren’t stupid,” you reassured him as he finished packing up. “No one’s ever asked me stuff like that before.”
“No one’s ever asked you about your favorite superhero? Or your childhood? Your favorite food?” he asked in disbelief.
You shook your head. “I don’t hang out with my college friends very often to be asked stuff like this. Busy life, you know?”
“Isn’t that lonely?”
“Yeah, sometimes. I guess having someone like Woojin makes up for it.”
“Ah, I see…” Jeongin muttered, lowering his head a bit.
“And you too, of course.”
“Me? You consider me a friend? After all the trouble I put you through just for my benefit?”
“Of course! We’ve spent a lot of time together playing cat and mouse. And you know almost TOO much about me.”
“Cheers to a new friendship then, hm?”
“Cheers. Unless you fail this assignment, then we’re not friends.”
“I’m so happy that you have my back…” he pouted. “What are you going to do now?”
You take a peek behind the boy and noticed that the sun was reaching its golden hours, which were the hours just before the sun set below the horizon. It was rare that you’d ever get to witness a sunset, let alone on a rooftop, so you think you’ll stay for a bit.
“I’m going to chill for a bit and enjoy the sunset. How about you?”
“I was going to go home and start the article, but can I join you instead?” he asked shyly.
“I would want nothing more.”
Both you and Jeongin reached the edge of the rooftop and watched the sunbeams bounce off of the mirrored windows on all the buildings, creating a golden overlay throughout the entire city. It was an incredible sight to see, but Jeongin only looked at you because God, this was great lighting for your portrait.
You heard a camera click beside you.
“You need pictures, too?” you whined. “I didn’t consent to this!”
“Of course I need pictures. I’d just have a pictureless article.” Jeongin noticed your uneasy expression and immediately regretted taking the picture. If you hated being interviewed on live television, he should have figured you didn’t like having your picture taken, either. “But if you really don’t like it, I’ll delete it -”
“No, that’s ok. If this means you’ll get a higher grade, then so be it.”
The cute boy hid his wide grin behind his fancy camera. “Thank you. You won’t regret these, I promise.”
“Oh?”
“Yeah. You look so pretty.”
Now it was your turn to try and hide your grin and blush. You buried your face in your hands so that only your smiling eyes were seen. Jeongin needed to capture you. The click of the shutter was heard quickly after.
“Got it!” he exclaimed. “That shot was perfect.”
“Is this how you felt when I kept on calling you cute?”
“Exactly. Now you can taste your own medicine.”
Did he call you pretty for the perfect portrait shot or did he mean it? You’ll never know.
After capturing your adorable grin, there was a long silence as you both watched the sun setting. It got dark quite quickly in your city and sooner rather than later, all of the streetlights and neon signs were turning on to light the city. Being up here when it was dark reminded you of when you first met Jeongin up here just a few of days ago. It was crazy when you realized how shortly you knew each other, yet you were already quite comfortable around him. It must have been his invasive interview questions that you had to answer. Even so, Jeongin couldn’t help but feel the same way.
“If I jumped over right now, would you catch me?” he asked, breaking you away from your thoughts.
Almost immediately, you replied, “Of course I would. Do you think I want blood on my hands?”
Jeongin must have thought he was so funny because after you said that, he began to climb over the short wall ready to jump. You grabbed his hand and pulled him back so you could scold his dumb ass.
“Are you crazy!?” you shrieked, tightening your hold on his hand. “Why!? WHY would you do that!?”
“Sometimes I think I’m funny.”
“Oh, you’re fucking hilarious!”
Jeongin laughed loudly while you squint your eyes at him and judged his horrible sense of humor. He thought he messed up big time because it really looked like you weren’t having it, but you were really bad at hiding your smile. Just as you were about to let go of his hand, he reciprocated your grip and didn’t allow you to let go. He didn’t explain himself and you didn’t ask him to. You liked the way his hand felt in yours. You both watched over the city together, fingers laced together.
“You should be doing something like this with someone normal, don’t you think?” you told him.
“But you are normal. A normal student just like me, right?”
“You know what I mean.”
“Normal is boring. I mean, what constitutes as normal, anyways? What society thinks is normal?” he scoffed dramatically.
“As a journalism student, aren’t you kind of like, the spokesperson for society? Don’t you constitute what’s normal?”
“That’s what teen magazine editors do, not an intellectual journalist like myself.”
“You just like holding a stranger’s hand.”
“You’re not a stranger.”
“You don’t even know what I look like!”
“Yeah, about that. Will I ever get to see the real you?”
That question was one you were afraid to answer. There’s nothing you want more than to spend time with Jeongin just like this, but without your whole get-up. You’d truly be just a normal person hanging out with their new friend. But would he still call you pretty? Would he still blush at your flirty words when he saw what you really looked like? Would he still hold your hand like this?
“Soon,” you replied.
“Not soon enough.”
“If you get an A+, then I’ll consider it.”
“B-”
“A-, final offer.”
“Challenge accepted,” he grinned evilly. “Wanna grab something to eat?”
“Yes, please!”
Jeongin wasn’t used to all the staring and gawking as you two walked down the street. He was amazed that you were unbothered by it, but he figured you must be an expert at blocking then out. He followed closely behind you, shyly hiding as you walked with your head held high.
“What are you hiding from?” you giggled.
“I’m usually the annoying onlooker, not the center of attention.”
“How does it feel?”
“I hate it!”
“Now you know how I feel everyday.”
Jeongin led you to an area packed with street vendors lined up for blocks as far as the eye could see. There wasn’t any lag between street carts as you plucked skewers of grilled meat and veggies like they were flowers. The boy struggled to to keep up with the payments you owed.
“Can you at least grab some for me, too? And why am I the one paying!?”
“Heroes don’t pay, silly,” you scoffed while handing him a meat skewer.
For a while, you and Jeongin just walked, enjoying the food, the atmosphere, and each other’s company. Despite being in your get-up, you felt so normal and you can’t recall the last time you had someone that wasn’t Jeongin beside you enjoying the simple things in life. It was probably Woojin, but all he ever talked about was work. Now that Jeongin was done interviewing you, was today the last time you’d hang out with him?
“What are you thinking about?” he asked innocently.
You shrugged, suddenly feeling too shy to answer. “Just wondering if I’d see you again after today.”
He stopped in his tracks, causing you to turn back and look at him questioningly. He wore a frown. “Of course we’ll see each other again. Why would you doubt that?”
“I don’t know… I was afraid you’d be someone who’d become a stranger as soon as you got what you wanted from me.”
He couldn’t blame you for thinking like that. He’d just have to prove you wrong. “I have to show you my A+ project and see your face, remember? I won’t stop bothering you until I see it.”
“What comes after I show you?”
“After? The same thing, no? Why, do you wanna go on a real date?” he teased.
“Shut up,” you said, shoving a churro in his mouth.
“I’m down if you’re down!”
A text vibrated your phone and you can only guess that it’s Woojin crying for help. The text read, ‘Hey, I have a suit update. Come over ASAP.’
“Duty calls?” Jeongin asked quietly.
“Yeah… I’ll see you soon, right?”
“Of course you will. Maybe with an A+ in my hands, too.” He paused before continuing on as if his next words were too risky. “Be careful out there, _____.”
“Aw, you’re worried about me?”
“The city’s scary at night, you know.”
Swiftly, in a blink of an eye, you kiss his cheek. Before he could scold you, you’re already gone and the feeling of your lips was left on his cheek the entire night. He held his hand to his cheek and a grin on his lips until he fell asleep.
He couldn’t wait to see you again.
You hadn’t seen him since. You couldn’t even remember how long it’s been. You were so caught up with the steady increase in crime rate and you suspected Jeongin was busy finishing his project on you, but when your day ended without running into him, your heart sank bit by bit.
You may not have seen him in a while, but it was so easy for him to keep tabs on you. You were all over the local news, social media, online articles, you name it. They were all the same superficial stuff. He couldn’t wait to publish the only written piece out there that showed all of your layers.
He never paid attention to the superficial stuff. He’d just mute out whomever’s recording and watch you carefully instead. It was like watching an action movie where he was rooting for the protagonist to win against the enemy every time. Sure, your tasks were never that action-packed, but watching you kept him at the edge of his seat, especially when there were weapons involved. Jeongin would find himself screaming at his phone or the television for you to play it safe, but God, of course you never did! You were so reckless every time, leaving with scars and bruises and noticeable stains of blood. He’d have to scold you for that later.
Jeongin kept his distance from you while he finished your article. He hadn’t stood on rooftops or cliffs or ledges for a long time. He wanted to focus completely and solely on it so he could finish without any errors. From the looks of it, it seemed like you had your hands full, anyways.
That much was true, but Jeongin could never bother you. You’d scold him of course, but as the nights became longer and the crimes were getting quite dangerous, seeing Jeongin was all you hoped for whenever you flew to a new location. But he was never there.
You were afraid. You were afraid, exhausted, and lonely. It was hard going through all of this alone and you wished that cute boy with the wide grin and wide eyes would come and save you from saving the city once in a while.
You hoped his project would end sooner rather than later.
“Hey, there’s suspicious activity by the river,” Woojin said into your earpiece.
“Can I pass?” you groaned tiredly.
“Last one for tonight, I promise.”
You flew down by the river where all the couples spent hand-in-hand walking along the sidewalk. What a cruel location for suspicious activity! You had to walk on ice here, so as to not endanger all the lovely couples.
The exact location Woojin sent you led you to a boy rocking on his feet at the very edge, like he was ready to jump in at any second.
You poke him lightly, causing him to stumble forward.
Then you grabbed him by the hand.
Jeongin’s feet are at the corner of the edge and you holding on to him was the only reason why he wasn’t soaked yet.
“Th-That’s not funny!!” the boy whined. But seeing that it was you, he couldn’t help but grin.
He missed you.
With his free hand, he held up a printed version of his project with a bug red 95 on it. “I got an A,” he said.
With your free hand, you took off your mask, revealing your pretty face in its entirety. You saw sparkles glow in Jeongin’s big eyes.
“Happy?” you asked.
“I will be when you pull me up from this position ~”
“Oh, right.”
You’re surprisingly strong when you pulled him up with your one hand. Your hair was loose and framed your maskless face perfectly. You were so, so pretty - just as he expected. It was a wonder that no one who knew you in real life recognized you with your mask on since it didn’t do much to hide your identity. He watched the blush rise to your cheeks adoringly.
“Stop staring,” you demanded.
“Ah, sorry. You’re just so pretty… I can’t help it.” Jeongin handed you his grade-A project. “Are you free to critique for me?”
“Pay me in street food?”
“Only if I can hold your hand.”
“You’re so corny... It’s a date,” you grinned. Now it was Jeongin’s turn to blush. “Let me change really quick.”
You were a jeans and t-shirt type of person.

Stray Kids Reaction to You Being Afraid of Birds (Requested)
Warnings: none
Request here
Bang Chan
You were both walking near the river, hand in hand when a bird swooped too close for comfort making you shout out in shock and duck in fear.
"Woah! Are you alright? Did it hurt you or something?" Chan immediately asked, crouching beside you and wrapping his arms around you. You were shaken, but overall okay.
"Yea, I'm fine, just not a big fan of birds," you admitted, feeling a little embarrassed.
"You're going to be fine, I'll make sure the birds won't hurt you!" Chan said, raising his fist in the air, "I'll knock 'em out of the sky if i have to!" He said with a loud superhero voice.
"Channie, please, that's not necessary," you say trying to lower his arm, and his voice, noticing the other passersby who were beginning to look at the two of you in both confusion and amusement.
"If it means protecting the love of my life, then yes, Y/N, it's necessary!" He continued in his loud voice, making you grab him by the sleeve and pull him away from the park, deciding an indoor date would be more enjoyable and less embarrassing.
Woojin
Woojin thought a good date idea was to go to the zoo. He didn't know about your fear of birds as it was never something that came up. You didn't think too much about it as you loved animal, and you didn't birds as long as they were behind some sort of barrier.
He brought you to the aviary of the zoo, and much to your dismay, it was an open exhibition. You two walked in hand in hand, and Woojin noticed you squeezed his hand a little tighter.
"What's wrong?" He turned to you to ask quietly.
"Birds, i don't like them that much, can we go to a different area?" You asked, holding his hand with both of yours.
"You could have just said," Woojiin pecked your forehead, "Let's go look at the other animals."
Minho
You always assumed that Minho would make fun of you for being afraid of birds, so you never brought it up, for fear he might do nothing but tease you. But today, he planned a picnic on the beach for a date. You figured, if you just stayed away from and area with too many seagulls, it would be fine. Safe to say, that didn’t happen.
You two set up your picnic near the water, the birds flying overhead. You were doing a good job of hiding it, until a seagull swooped in front of you to grab at some of the food that was laid out. You shouted out along with Minho, who also got startled, but then you started to cry a little. You Still tried to hid it, trying to quickly wipe away any tears before Minho saw, but he did.
“You’re crying? What happened?” He was quick to your side, wrapping his arms around you and wiping your tears.
“I’m scared of birds,” you finally admitted. Minho held you until you were done crying, not saying anything.
“Let’s go somewhere else then, okay?” He said, taking your hand and helping you off the blanket before packing up the picnic stuff. From that day on, he did tease you, but made extra care not to put you in any situations you might not like, even if it meant less dates outdoors.
Changbin
You and Changbin had been daiting for only a month, and he wants to know as much as he could about you. He observes you in almost every setting but not in a creepy way. He wants to know what makes you smile, laugh, angry, sad, happy, and excited. So when you were at the park together, he noticed everytime you flinched when a bird came too close for comfort.
He took you home, standing on the door step, "just tell me next time, we won't go to the park."
"What do you mean?" You asked, genuinely confused.
"I saw you're afraid of birds," he smiled, "I won't put you in that much stress again."
You giggled, "wow, thanks, I guess."
"No problem," he pecked your lips, "I'll plan an indoor date next time."
Hyunjin
Hyunjin was a dramatic scaredy-cat, everyone knew that. You prided yourself on being the opposite. You were rarely startled, and it was hard to shake you. So when you and Hyunjin were ambushed by a flock of birds in the park and you screamed and fell over, Hyunjin took it upon himself to poke a little fun at you.
“So you’re not at tough as you say you are,” he teased, helping you off the ground.
“Shut up, I-I just didn’t see it coming,” you tried to defend yourself.
“Oh, sure,” Hyunjin chuckled, “so birds?”
“No, shut up!” You walked faster. Hyunjin followed you laughing, and still making fun of you a little, saying things like, “hey, watch out, birds might be behind that.”
Once home, he was usually the one to have the cute and cliche end to a date, where the two of you stand on your door step under the light and he kisses you before leaving. This time, the leaned forward, but instead of kissing you, he leaned into your ear and whispered, “caw, caw.”
You slapped him playfully, “just go.”
“Sorry, i didn’t mean to scare you,” he said laughing and pecking your lips for real before walking away.
Jisung
Jisung has expressed to you before that he would sometimes get insecure about the fact that he was startled easily. He complained that he felt like it took away from his ability to properly protect you. Often it was you who sheilded him, making him feel less manly (not that it mattered), but for him, he felt like he failed you.
Then one day on a walk a bird swooped too close to the two of you, making the two of you scream and try to dodge the bird that was no where near you two. Jisung was used to you not being startled and throwing an arm around him, but when you cowered in fear, he took action. Instead of falling backwards, he leapt to you, shielding you with his body from the bird that was now simply minding its own business on the pavement. As dramatic as it was, Jisung felt quite proud of himself.
“You’re okay, you’re safe with me,” he said as he helped you up, quoting what you would often say to him.
“Birds, I hate them,” you commented, flinching slightly when the bird flew off.
“Don’t worry, I’ll protect you!” Jisung said proudly. You smiled, glad that he had something to boost his self-confidence.
Felix
You and Felix were enjoying a little picnic by a lake. You two had made ramen (Felix’s request) and brought various other foods with you. The two of you ate in a peaceful silence when a bird swooped in, trying to snag of the food you had laid out. In a panic, you leapt off the blanket, bringing your bowl of ramen with you and ran behind Felix. Felix stayed seated and was laughing at you.
“It just wanted some chips, don’t worry, your ramen is safe!” Felix said, laughing. You sheepishly returned to your spot.
“I wasn’t worried about it eating my food,” you quietly admitted.
“What then?” Felix asked, calming his laughter a bit.
“I’m just afraid of birds.”
“Oh, sorry,” Felix tried to stop his giggles, “your reaction was just too funny!” He continued laughing. You smiled, allowing yourself to laugh along with him.
Seungmin
You brought Seungmin to meet you family for the first time, and, honestly, you were more nervous than him. Your mom had a habit of opening up old scrapbooks and photo albums every time you brought someone to your house. It didn’t matter who, you’r mom took full advantage of it and showed them pictures.
One day you brought and acquaintance from school home because you had a project to do, and right when your mother saw a new face, she had the albums out and open before you even entered the house.
You hid in the living room with your dad when dinner was over. Seungmin was trying to make a good impression on your parents, so he stayed behind to help with dishes, which meant your mom was going to want to bond with him. The dishes didn’t take long, and soon your heard your mom talking and laughing with Seungmin as she told him various storied from your childhood, accompanying them with a picture from an album.
On your way home, Seungmin turned to you, “you never told me you had a phobia of birds.”
“I knew my mom was going to tell that story,” you already cringed internally at the memory.
“The picture of you was adorable,” Seungmin giggle. He was talking a bout a picture of you when you were around 12 or 13 years old. Your family had gone to a zoo. They had trainers with birds and one of them let you hold a bird. The picture was of you bawling your eyes out, like face red, eyes puffy, while the bird sat calmly on your arm, you dad holing you still.
Jeongin
Jeongin took you to a beach he loved growing up, wanting to share the memories with you. You two were having fun, splashing each other in the water, and just enjoying the day. On the shore, a vendor had begun to sell ice cream.
“Let’s get some!” You told Jeongin, grabbing his hand and leading him out. You both got cones and sat on the towel that you had laid out earlier.
You and Jeongin were talking when a seagull swooped in and basically took your whole cone. Not only were you shaken beyond repair, but the damn thing too your ice cream. You weren’t able to control yourself and a few tears left your eyes, not sobbing, but enough to signal Jeongin that you were in distress. Jeongin thought you just loved the ice cream and offered you his.
“You can have mine, please don’t be sad,” he insisted, holding his cone out for you.
“I don’t want it,” you declined, wiping your tears from your eyes.
“What happened, did it hurt you?” Jeongin was trying to examine you for any injuries.
“I’m really scared of birds, that’s all, it just scared me,” you informed him, reassuring him.
“So you’re not sad because it took your ice cream?”
“Ice cream is ice cream, of course I’m sad, but I’ll be fine.”
“Let’s share mine then,” Jeongin smiled, giving you his cone.

college!chris as your boyfriend
meeting
-okay so y’all met through mutual friends
-your sorority friend
-yesyoureinasororitywithtwicebarewithme
-anyways, your sorority friend jihyo introduced you to him at a frat party
-this is the friday before the first week of school
-you didn’t come to college with the intension of getting a crush tbh
-you actually hadn’t had a boyfriend like ever
-moving on, when jihyo introduced you two it was in his bathroom
-funny thing his best friend woojin was sick over the toilet
-as soon as you met eyes with chris, damn
-this guy is attractive
-what you didn’t know is he was thinking the same thing about you
-he thought you were gorgeous
-actually he didn’t mind that jihyo saw him and his friend were in the bathroom like that
-but he was embarrassed that you saw him
-obv, you don’t mind i mean, it’s chris bang
-jihyo ended up dragging you off somewhere else
-but damn that chris was cute
-fast forward to the monday after
-your first day actually on campus and going to class
-your first class:
-music theory I
-yup
-you’re a music major
-ifyourenotinanywaymusicalpleasebarewithme
-so you walk in the room and you immediately met eyes with a familiar curly haired boi
-“hey y/n!!”
-chris was super excited you were there
-because he didn’t have any friends in this class
-but also because he thought you were cute
-yall ended up sitting next to each other
-you came to find out chris was also a music major
-that only made him more attractive
falling for each other
-a few weeks later your sorority sisters all wanted to go to this frat party
-basically everyone on campus was going
-you felt kinda awkward
-but it was still a good time
-you ended up drinking though
-thankstodahyunbeggingyou
-and somehow between the time you started drinking and you got drunk
-you lost all your friends
-you could still stand up but
-you were still pretty drunk
-some random guy actually started flirting with you
-but a familiar friend of yours was watching this from far away
-chris was stuck in between jealous and concerned
-“oh y/n no no no-“
-he ended up confronting the guy
-then he took you outside
-“i’m gonna take you home.”
-so you both walked to your sorority
-but then chris realized
-none of your sorority sisters were back yet
-he ended up just taking you to his fraternity
-he actually was content with the idea of protecting you the rest of the night
-he sat you down on his bed and he went to the kitchen to get a throw up bowl
-but as your drunk self waited
-you slowly drifted to sleep
-“y/n i got- oh..”
-chris smiled lightly
-he liked you like this
-so calm and soft
-he gazed at your features
-that was when he realized
-he had fallen for you.
-he didn’t want to make you uncomfortable so he slept on the floor
-the next morning you woke up
-you were so confused
-where were you???
-you couldn’t remember anything from the night before either
-then chris came in the room
-“hey you’re up!”
-chris told you everything from last night
-you immediately started apologizing
-“no no, y/n, it’s okay!”
-you suddenly realized how your head was pounding
-chris of course comforted you
-and upon his soft nature you realized
-you like this guy
-like, like like him
confessions
-so a few months later
-your music theory teacher gives you two a group project
-well, the teacher let you guys choose partners
-and of course you both chose each other
-and you guys decided to do a duet
-it was going to be a very short duet
-but you two wanted to work on it almost immediately
-what you didn’t know is that chris produced music and all that jazz
-so you ended up going to his house to do the project
-seeing as he had the equipment
-you ended up working on it for hours
-it consisted mostly of you two trying to find ideas for the project
-“we should do like a lovey kind of duet!”
-chris blushed at your suggestion
-he felt like his lyrics would be too sincere if you two did it
-he shook his head and you both went back to the drawing board
-the topic of ‘home’ came up
-you and chris never really talked about home
-mostly because you knew how hard it was for chris
-but also you don’t remember the last time you were legitimately home either
-but you two ended up talking for hours about where you were from and your families
-you loved the way his face lit up when he talked about australia
-he was beaming
-when you began talking about where you were from chris listened intently
-he loved how you would describe your parents and your siblings if any
-you both ended up talking until like 9 pm
-what stopped the conversation was your stomache growling
-“i’m gonna get food real quick, do you want anything?”
-chris nodded and suggested the mcdonald’s near by
-so you left to get food while chris stayed back
-he did feel a little tired too
-he layed his head on his desk
-he wasn’t actually asleep but his eyes were closed as if he was
-so of course when you came back you were softened by the “sleeping chris”
-you sighed as you sat next to him again
-“if only you liked me back,”
-you whispered to yourself
-but you didn’t realize chris was awake
-“who says i don’t,”
-you jumped slightly
-“you’re awake?!”
-you both looked at each other
-chris couldn’t stop smiling
-you liked him too!
-you were blushing so much
-chris suddenly had an idea for the duet
-it was gonna be about the two of you singing about your homes
-and in the end y’all would harmonize and say how you made each other feel at home
making it official
-your sorority sisters were so excited to hear that chris liked you back
-but you two hadn’t put a title on it yet
-jihyo thought it was the cutest thing
-like ever
-so anyways
-chris invites you to his fraternity (what’s new)
-and as y’all kinda just lied there on his bed he asked it
-“y/n will you be my girlfriend?”
-you accepted ofc
-he was so happy
-he honestly liked you
-a lot
-he thought you were the best thing since he got to college
-oh and your professor loved the project
-he thought it was so cool how you guys combined two themes to one
-y’all got a whole A+
your relationship
-shortly after you two got together
-everyone knew you were together
-not just because of the project
-but because literally everywhere you went
-chris went too
-and everywhere chris went
-you went too
-even some of chris’s friends started to know you
-his fraternity became your second dorm basically
-liked you’d be in the living room
-and jisung would just be like
-“oh hey y/n,”
-speaking of the rest of straykids
-they LOVED you
-you became the mom REAL QUICK
-anyways back to you and chris
-i feel like you guys would meet in the library a lot
-you guys both were good students
-againbarewithmeifnot
-so you two had a lot of study dates
-like you guys just enjoy being in each other’s presence
the first kiss
-okay
-so fast foward
-y’all have been dating for a few months now
-and you both had yet to kiss
-it just wasn’t something you guys did?
-but this next week was finals week
-and chris was STRESSED
-he was studying mad hard
-you’d try to tell him to take breaks and he’d be like
-“no no i need to study i can’t fail these finals,”
-so you decided to let him be
-you didn’t want to bother him while he was super focused
-after a few days of not really talking
-you were in your room
-studying obv
-and you got a text from chris
-he said he missed you and wanted to take a break and cuddle you
-he ended up calling you
-“chris it’s like 12 am?”
-“actually it’s almost 1 am, come outside babe,”
-so you went all the way to the front door
-trying to not wake up your friends
-and boom as soon as you opened the door
-chris greeted you with your first kiss
-you two kinda stayed like that for little bit

Not Afraid of the Dark - Seo Changbin gang AU series part 3
Requested: Seo Changbin modern gang series.
Description: you’re a college student, so is he. Big difference? He’s a gang member.
Warnings: violence, cursing, all that good shit.
(Part1) (Part2) (Part4) (Part5) (Part6) (Part7) (Part8) (Part9)
He almost seemed soft. But he was a gang member, right? Can he be soft?
“If you ever need anything, let me know or one of us know.” He said.
“What?” You asked, thrown off guard.
“You kinda saved my life, I owe it to you. The guys trust you too.” He said.
“You already helped me.” You said.
“How? That man? That was nothing. I would’ve done it whether you had saved me or I had happened to pass by.” He said.
“Would you have really?” You asked.
“Yes. I don’t like when men do that to women.” He said, looking serious.
You nodded and gave him a small smile.
“Alright.”
“I should head back. See ya.” He said.
“Wait. Give me your phone.” You said.
“You haven’t even taken me on a date first.” He joked.
“Well I was gonna say let me give you my number so you can tell me if you got home safe but never mind. I don’t care.” You rolled your eyes and was about to turn away but he put his phone in your hand. You put your name and number in it.
“Be careful.” You said.
He smiled at you and nodded before walking away. You walked into your dorm and threw your stuff on your bed before pulling your hair back and washing your face. You felt refreshed and laid in your bed. An unknown number appeared on your phone.
Unknown: hey I just got home, now that you have my number you can call me whenever you need something. Goodnight Sweetheart
You: Goodnight
You plugged your phone into your charger before falling asleep. You dreamed about being chased down an ally, a man screaming for you to stop. You ran into a dead end, panting and gasping for breath. Two strong hands grabbed you and spun you towards them. They had no face, just a shadow over a head. You went to scream but nothing came out, and then you felt yourself fall and land on something soft. You saw black feathers on the ground and when you looked up, you saw a man with long, black feathered wings standing protectively in front of you. For some reason, you felt safe. You felt secure. He slowly turned around.
You woke up instantly and sat up. You checked the time. 11 AM. You groaned and got up to brush your teeth and take a shower. After your shower, you sat down at your desk and started to work on your homework. It was about proper surgery care and you honestly couldn’t focus. The dream had you all kinds of messed up. You let out a dramatic sigh and decided to go to a cafe to get some caffeine in you in hopes of it distracting you and so it can get you a little pumped.
You texted Nina to meet you and she was seated at a booth with Chul.
“Hey guys.” You said, sitting down with them.
“Hey Y/N, how has your weekend been?” Nina asked.
“Pretty good. Have you been studying for your test?” You asked her.
“Yup! I brought some flash cards with me so Chul can quiz me.” You said.
“Did you bring your homework Y/N?” Chul asked.
You nodded and pulled out your pen and notebook as you sipped your coffee and took notes. You read the textbook and then filled in the sheet while also writing notes in your own book. You knew writing it down helped it settle into your brain, so you did it quite often. You heard Chul quiz Nina over her vocab and what you could hear, she really has been studying. Nina has an attention problem and tends to procrastinate a lot (ok but same LMAO), so you and Chul constantly push her to do better, and she’s been improving.
“I’m impressed Nina. You’re doing so well.” Chul praises her and she giggled excitedly.
You took a good look at them. Nina was one of the cutest people you know besides Nari. She had big eyes, gorgeous, shiny black hair, and she’s half Japanese. She speaks both Korean and Japanese fluently. Looking at Chul, he was very handsome and he has brains. He’s pretty tall, being 178 cm. He had a nice undercut and dark brown hair that he would sometimes part like an idols. The more you looked at them, you thought they’d be a cute couple. Nina needed someone to take care of her and Chul has a nurturing personality, mainly from being the oldest of two little sisters.
“Earth to Y/N, are you listening?” Nuna asked.
“Huh?” You asked.
“And I thought I never pay attention.” She said, face palming.
“Sorry.” You laughed.
“She asked if you did well on your test.” Chul said.
“Oh, yeah I have it with me.” You said, pulling out the test paper and showing them.
“Wow, you only got one wrong. Probably because of the wording.” Chul said, reading over the question.
“That’s what I was thinking. It was easy but I was so nervous about the test I didn’t even bother thinking it was a trick.” You sighed.
“You still scored a 95% Y/N, that’s incredible.” He said with a smile.
You like it when Chul went over your work. He noticed how good you were at what you wanted to do, and it you were ever confused with academics, especially anything to with numbers, he’d gladly help you. You treated them both to some yummy cafe food and then headed back to your dorm to finish your project. You bought two extra coffees, one to finish the rest of your homework and study and one for the next day. You sat back down at your desk after putting the second coffee in the fridge and went over your homework and notes. You didn’t have a test for another two weeks, but you planned on getting every word right. After studying you went to bed early for once, wanting a decent nights sleep.
As you sat in class taking notes the next day, your phone buzzed and a number popped up. You saw the messages from before and knew it was from Changbin.
Changbin: Can you come outside real quick?
You: For what? I’m in class
Changbin: C’mon it’s important!
You sighed and raised your hand, asking to be excused for a bit. Good thing you never skipped class, so your teacher allowed you to go. He was lucky it wasn’t a busy day and you finished your notes. You stepped out of class and walked down the hall and outside to the garden. You saw him sitting on part of the wall that came down and around the middle of the garden. He was wearing tight black jeans with zippers on the thighs and a chain attached to his right side, alone with a black hat and a long sleeve black shirt that complimented his chest with a chain around his neck.
“What’s so important you needed to call me here during class?” You asked.
“Can you take these out or can I do it myself?” He asked, pointing to the stitches.
“You can’t take them out yet! It’s only been three days, it’s not even healed yet!” You whisper yell.
“They’re making my skin itchy.” He groaned.
“Are they? Or is it because you know they’re there?” You asked.
“Yeah, that.” He said.
“I’ll take them out when it’s healed. Don’t scratch at them or anything.” You sighed.
He nodded then looked at the small pond. You couldn’t help but admire his side profile. He had a recently cut under cut and his hair was parted under the hat. His jaw line looked great off to the side too. He looked at you sideways and smiled at you when he saw your eyes on him.
“Like what you see Sweetheart?” He asked.
“Shut up. I was just wondering how a dummy like you could be the best fighter. And stop calling me that.” You huffed.
He turned towards you with a smile and shrugged.
“We dummies have to be good at something.” He said.
“Y/N.” You heard your name and turned your head to see Nina and Chul approaching you. Chul had a suspicious look on his face and Nina looked confused.
“You two know each other?” Chul asked, giving Changbin a dirty look.
Before you could respond, Changbin stood up with his hands in his pockets.
“Don’t worry, I’m going, see you later Sweetheart.” He said, giving you a small smirk before walking away.
“You two are friends?” Chul asked.
“It’s complicated.” You said, walking back to class.
Chul walked into his business class. He knew Changbin well after being in class with him. He was no good, even if he hardly talked. He still hung around with that group. They were a gang and he knew it. Why else would all of them be in business?
He walked into class and walked straight in front of Changbin’s desk. Changbin wasn’t paying attention until he saw Chul’s hands on either side of his desk before he looked up.
“Oh, I know you. You’re Y/N’s friend. I thought you looked familiar.” He said.
“What are your intentions with Y/N?” Chul asked.
Changbin looked confused at first then realized what Chul was saying.
“I don’t have bad intentions with her.” Changbin said.
“Bullshit. I know what you are. You’re no good.” He hissed.
“That’s enough.” Woojin said, approaching Chul.
“No, Woojin it’s fine. He’s protecting his friend.” Changbin said as he looked Chul straight in the eyes. “She helped me and I owe her a lot. I’m not going to hurt her in any way, shape, or form.” He said calmly.
Chul stared hard at him until he heard the teacher walk into the room before walking over to his seat. The other members glared at him and took their seats beside Changbin.
You walked back through the garden after classes ended and saw the boys standing there. Changbin was once again sitting on the wall as they talked. You saw Jeongin look up and he smiled at you.
“Hey Y/N.” He called and waved you over.
“Hey guys.” You said as you approached them and smiled.
They all greeted you but Changbin was pretty silent.
“You okay?” You asked him.
“Your friend was about to get himself in some big trouble.” Jisung said.
“What?” You asked.
“We have business class with him, and he confronted Changbin about being friends with you. He got real rude.” Jeongin said.
“I’m so sorry Changbin. He can be a little over protective. I’ll talk to him.” You said.
“Nah, it’s cool. I understand.” He said, look at you with a small smile.
You nodded and leaned against the wall as the members talked.
“I’m surprised you kept your cool. You used to love fighting.” Hyunjin said.
“Yeah, I also like not being kicked out of college.” Changbin said.
You felt slight anxiety fill you. Chul has run his mouth to a gang, who were potentially dangerous.
“Hey, we won’t hurt Chul.” Minho said.
You looked at him in shock. Did he just read your mind?
“You have it written all over your face. He’s no threat to us, he won’t be touched.” Minho said.
They all nodded in agreement. Chan rubbed your shoulder to calm you and Jeongin squished his cheek against yours.
“It’s ok Nuna, we promise.” He said.
You felt better at their words, and when you looked up, you saw Changbin’s genuine eyes on you. And for some reason, your heart fluttered.

Stray Kids reaction to their s/o wanting attention
🤗thanks for the request hun I hope this is what you wanted🤗
Bang Chan:
Parties never ended well, but you went because Chris went. Maybe it wouldn’t have been so bad if he hadn’t left you for 2 seconds while he went to get you both drinks. 2 seconds seemed to turn into 2 days so you went to find him in his friends house. Kitchen? No. Living room? No but cute kitten better take note of that for later. Conservatory? Target spotted. He was waiting in a line for the punch bowl and no one was behind him. You basically threw yourself at his back, but to everyone else thankfully it just looked like a normal back hug. He turned around, surprised to say the least. You told him not to leave you and he flashed you his smile while you pouted at him. He grabbed your hand and pulled you away.
“Let’s go home darling, it’s not that good here anyway. I have scrabble at my place now!”
Woojin:
He needed to get this move right. If he didn’t he’d face a shouting at from Chris and he didn’t want that. He was at the dance studio until 11pm tonight and you were getting really worried. You didn’t even know if he’d eaten. No text, no call, no nothing. You arrived at the dance studio with chicken and homemade salad, enough for 10 people but when you only saw woojin your heart melted. This is where he’d been all this time while you lay on the couch counting the hours. He saw you in the mirror and stopped dancing, seeming somewhat ashamed of himself. You didn’t want his attention anymore, you just wanted to see him happy. You put down the bags of food and back hugged him. In the mirror you could see his expression change from sad to happy. You pouted which he could also see in the mirror and he turned around. He indicated to the door.
“It’s probably better if Chan sees my mistakes, that’s how I’ll improve, not by making my baby worried. Don’t forget to pick up the chicken”
Lee Know:
Chef Minho was rare. He wasn’t bad at cooking or anything like that, he just never had time to cook substantial meals. On his day off he got up early and started to cook the pair of you some breakfast. When you noticed the familiar body next to you was gone, you got up and saw minho with messy hair in sweatpants and a black tee cooking. You couldn’t help but waddle over to him in your Pyjamas (his clothes) and loosely back hug him. He knew what this meant “come back to bed so we can cuddle and sleep more” but he wanted to cook! He turned in your arms, hands raised in the air. He gave you a gentle kiss on the check and another on your nose before turning back.
“Do you want to starve today baby? Because I’m not leaving this kitchen till I’ve eaten.”
(Ignore captions)
Changbin:
Work work work that’s all it ever was. Even in bed some days, like today. When you asked him to put down his laptop, he just turned his back to you saying that he needs to concentrate. You respect his work and support him, of course you do, but you want your Changbin. So instead of pestering him, you moved closer to his figure, throwing your leg over his legs and an arm around his waist, hand in perfect position to tickle his stomach even though “he wasn’t ticklish.” As soon as you did this he put his laptop on the carpeted floor and turned around to face you. He was confronted with you irresistible pout. He looked somewhat angry but his face changed as soon as he saw your face turning into a small side smile.
“You really know how to make me scream don’t you?”
Hyunjin:
Hyunjin could hear you coming, your feet making loud sounds across the pavement that you’d grown immune to. He’d walked away from you jokingly after you made a dad joke but you wanted all the attention you could get from Hyunjin today since it was his day off. The pout on your face was clear, clear to passers by, clear to you, even clear to Hyunjin who couldn’t even see you. As he sped up so did you creating a gentle jog, though you soon got tired. You stopped trying and so your boyfriend turned around, jogged back to you and engulfed you in a protective hug, still chuckling.
“I knew you’d give up, don’t try to be funny with me again y/n, it doesn’t work does it, baby?”
Han:
Han. Was. Clueless. When you wrapped your arms around him at the studio and nestled your chin into your neck, Jisung thoughts went wild. Are you sick? Are you sad? Are you tired? But in the end he settled with an open ended “what’s up sugar cube?” His nicknames were always questionable but your stomach spun with joy every time he said one. When you told him that you wanted his attention since he’d been working all day, you loosened your grip expecting him to turn around but no. He moved away from you and wheeled away on his chair to the other side of the room jokingly. He outstretched his arms and waved at you as he went into the recording booth.
“Don’t miss me too much”
Felix:
You couldn’t believe your eyes. Felix. Back hugging. Minho. No way was that appropriate while you were here. That’s your hug he’s giving to Minho, how dare he. Minho saw your pout and bustled his way out of Felix’s hug leaving him confused. Then he saw you, biggest pout the ever, eyebrows furrowed, eyes piercing his perfect skin. He repeated “fuck” 1000 times in his head before approaching you. He grabbed your hand confidently and intertwined his fingers with yours making your face become somewhat normal, a small pout still left on your face. His heart melted at the sight. You looked so innocent he could help but turn around and wrap your arms around him. He found it funny to do this since he knew it would satisfy your needs even if it’s not what you initially wanted.
“I just know you too well”
Seungmin:
Seungmin wasn’t the type to show PDA. If he did, it was only around the boys because he didn’t care if they teased him, just as long as he had you. You walked into their dance studio while they were all talking. Most of the boys noticed you, except seungmin. He didn’t even look when the door slammed shut. He did notice you however when he was talking to Hyunjin and you threw your arms around him. He smiled shyly at Hyunjin making Hyunjin go soft himself. Hyunjin walked away leaving the two of you talk and hug more. Seungmin turned around and kissed your forehead making both of you go red. When you both parted from the hug, all the boys were looking, all becoming soft. Embarrassed wasn’t the word for it. At least you had seungmin’s attention now you thought to yourself as you leaned onto him. His arm found its way around your waist.
“That’s right, you’re all jealous, I know”
I.N:
Jeongin’s school rarely gave him homework, knowing he had such a tight schedule, but today Jeongin didn’t finish some important work so his teacher told him to finish it at home when he could. The work was a large project. He needed to make 5 model hydrocarbons but since he hadn’t been there to learn what a hydrocarbon was, that’s what he was studying all lesson. He asked if you could help him and come over to the dorms to put it all together which you agreed to. When you got there it was 7pm and you worked for 2 hours non stop. You had a good idea but it meant putting in more work but Jeongin wanted to impress his teachers so he went through with it. Soon 10 and 11 o’clock passed and you were getting tired, you rested your head against his shoulder while he stuck the last stick to the ball. Your pout was evident so he rushed slightly but no one would notice. You were so proud but you needed his attention.
“Let’s go and rest, I’m sure Chan won’t mind if you stay”
