you owe me a pretzel, bitch
Macey & Miranda take a trip to the mall. Though, not quite for the reasons Macey thinks. Miranda has been tasked with a top-secret mission, and it may take all her effort to pull it off under her sister’s nose.
“Okay, so,” Macey clapped her hands together, “What exactly are we looking for so I can be on the lookout for you. Or, did you just need an excuse to get out of the cabin?” She and Miranda were strolling through the nearest mall. Full of the usual haunts of suburban America, the fluorescent lights and crowds of regular people were an odd and welcome change to the hustle and bustle of camp and town. Macey couldn’t even think of the last time she’d actually been shopping in recent memory. It felt nice to be outside and with a different change of pace,
“Either way, you’ll need to hold me back if we even step one foot in H&M. I’ll have to start making Brent leave his clothes on the floor so I have enough closet space.” They passed a soft pretzel kiosk and she almost paused, her head trailing behind at the smell, “Oh, remind me to get a pretzel before we leave. Fuck, I love a good pretzel.”
Miranda let out a loud laugh, linking their arm through Macey’s as she pulled her through the mall. “Oh please, like you’ll need me to remind you. I think you’d totally bash through a small child to get one before we leave.” Glancing at the various shops, Miranda tried to find the part of her that was always down to raid a mall, instead only finding a bunch of excited nerves bunched up in her stomach, though she’d never let Macey see that. Instead, she put on a cool front, almost gliding down the brightly lit walkways with her sister,
“I needed to get out of that damn cabin, and decided I might as well attempt to turn over my wardrobe.” She rested her chin on Macey’s shoulder, a not at all apologetic grin on her face. “And since I always ended up raiding your closet, might as well give you the joy of tagging along with me.”
Macey laughed. “Yeah, well, my closet thanks you.” She patted the top of her sister’s head as it rested on her shoulder. “And, one of these days we’ll wind up not living so close that you can just raid my closet whenever you want, so, good thing to build up your wardrobe now.” She glanced around, only able to aimlessly wander for so long, “Is there anywhere specific you want to hit first? I think maybe I need some new, fun earrings. I keep seeing all those like, animal print ones on Pinterest, and you know I fuck with animal prints.“
“Shush, you. You should know better than to think you’d ever be too far away for me.” Miranda threw her hand out towards Macey’s mouth, as if appalled that her sister would dare ever imply they wouldn’t be close to each other. Letting it fall seconds later, she started looking around to see what shops they had around them. “Oh yeah, I’ve been thinking about getting a nice pair of gold hoops to get with the skirt I got not too long ago. Or just jewelry in general honestly, I’ve been wanting to get my hands on some shiny things.”
Macey quirked an eyebrow, “Do you mean, like, Forever 21 hoops and shiny things, or like, real shiny things?” The thought sent a small jolt of excitement down the back of her throat. It’d been so long since she’d set foot in something more expensive than a Target, of her own doing. Real shiny things were often small, and despite being more carefully protected, still easier for her to toss in a pocket where it wouldn’t be missed. The temptation of hijacking a fake plant or a coffee mug was much less overwhelming.
“Because,” Macey continued, doing her best to squelch the obvious look of interest. She chewed on her lip, “If it’s real shit, you’re gonna have to keep me in check.”
Miranda made a show of bobbing her head to either side. "A little bit of both." She took a glance at her sister, seeing her trying to keep how she perked up at the idea of fancy shopping, and grinned, now patting Macey on the head as she had just a minute prior. "It's okay, babes. We'll work our way up to it if anything." She pulled on their interlocked arms, tugging them into Forever 21 so they can start poking around. "Try and get some of the energy out now, everything is so low price now they won't miss any of it." She joked, already twirling a bracelet around her fingers, sans tags. "That and I don't really wanna get lectured by Pretty Boy if I let you lose in a Helzberg."
Macey groaned, tilting her head back as Miranda pulled her into the store. She hated that Miranda was right. If she grabbed something now, the urge to do it later would be much less. Dragged over to the jewelry, Macey slipped a pair of earrings off the rack and stared at them, "You don't want to get lectured? You're not the one who's fucking him, dude. I'm the one who's gonna get lectured, if anything." She slipped the backs off of the earrings and dropped the paper earring holder to the floor, "Did you know that's like, the biggest fight we ever had? He caught me while we were out shopping together and, boy, you thought the other night was bad?" Macey grimaced as she shoved the earrings into her bag.
"True. Then you know what? De nada. I'm just saving you from one more argument because I'm such a great sister." Miranda shrugged, pulling two pairs of earrings off the rack, and held one pair up to each ear. "Okay, think of that black leather skirt I got the other day. You know, the one that makes me actually look a little bit taller?" At Macey's nod, she continued on. "Okay yeah, so I don't want to draw attention away from the legs, cause then what's the point of looking taller, but they need to be cute." She wiggled each pair, one gold and then other silver. "Or do I need a print or something?"
Macey contemplated the choices. "Well, personally, I think gold always looks better on you. And even if you like, wore a print with it, leather still stands out more than anything, so you'll still look taller?"
"Okay cool. Gold hoops are way more my style anyway." She look at the silver ones, shrugging before she tossed it into her own bag, keeping in mind to give them to Rosie when she got back to the cabin later. She walked towards some of the other accessories, gold hoops already in her earlobes. "Oh!" She walked over to another display of earrings, returning with a few different animal printed earrings of various sizes. "Pinterest was onto something, chica. These are fucking cute."
"Told you!" Macey pointed at the earrings, "It's trendy as hell. The amount of cheetah print I owned in 2014 might actually come in handy again." She walked over and picked up a pair of dangling, acrylic ones, again popping them off of the paper holder and sticking them in her bag. She didn't even realize what she was doing it until she felt her hand come out of her bag afterwards. She reminded herself not to feel bad about it, and glanced around again. "Was it just hoops that you needed today? There's gotta be more stuff."
Miranda looked around the store displays, trying to failing to find anything that really interested her. “Not in this store, I only come here for the jewelry. Everything else is a pedazo de mierda.” She shrugged, focusing back on Macey, “If there’s anything else here you wanted to ‘look’ at, say it now.”
Macey nodded definitively, giving the store one more glance around. A glittery mini dress caught her eye, but she forced herself to shake her head, "Nah, not really. I'm good.”
Nodding her head, Miranda started heading towards the exit. "Then vamonos! My closet is crying for new things." They popped around from store to store, with the amount of bags hanging off of Miranda's arms growing as time went on. Halfway through, Miranda threw out a line to her sister, going on about how she really wanted to see if she could get her hands on a very shiny ring, and that she needed Macey to help come with an elaborate tale to help them on said quest. Luckily, her sister jumped into it without seeming like she had caught onto anything, much to Miranda's relief. After leaving the final store, a new bag to help replace the one that had 'ripped out of nowhere, how did that happen?' she turned to Macey, grinning. "Okay, we have the story all figured out. Ready for the big guns?"
Macey hadn't gathered as much of a haul as her sister. She'd bought a shirt and some perfume, and besides the earrings from Forever 21, she'd managed to shove a pair of leggings into one of her bags—which Miranda insisted she not feel guilty about. By the time they worked their way up to the jewelry store, Macey nodded, honestly feeling satisfied that if she kept her hands firmly in her pockets she'd be fine.
“Totally ready," She smiled, "Lets get you a damn ring, bitch."
Miranda laughed at her sister's enthusiasm, pausing them a few store fronts down from their target to dramatically start deep breathing. "Alright, here we go. Game faces on, babes." She looped arms through Macey's, walking the last stores down, setting a bright, and giddy grin on her face as they walked in. She led the way straight towards the back where the displays of rings were, pointing some cute ones out as they waited for a worker to walk over to them. Seeing the older woman, Miranda launched into it,
"Hi there! My sister and I were just poking around to get some ideas for rings. My boyfriend and I started to talk about the future," She deflated against the counter slightly, rolling her eyes in a joking fashion. And this boy, bendice su corazón, just does not get my style at all, so we thought we'd pop in and help get him a few ideas."
Macey nodded along with Miranda's story, looking sympathetic at her sister's situation as the salesperson listened along. She couldn't help but tense up a bit as the cases of jewelry glittered under the store lights, making sure her hands were firmly placed in the pockets of her denim jacket.
The salesperson gave a happy smile to Miranda, "Oh, of course! You have no idea how often this happens," She chuckled, "Was there a certain style or look you're going for? I can grab anything out of the cases for you to try."
Miranda glanced at the rings in the display case. "I'm not a hundred percent sold on a certain style honestly? I mean, I know I don't want a square cut or anything, but setting and band I haven't really decided." Her eyes stopped on a extremely gorgeous ring, something that would land right in between herself and Macey's styles and pointed it out. "Maybe something like that? Is it possible to try it on and see how it looks on the finger?" Before she could even finish her question, the salesperson was already unlocking the case. "Of course you can! It always looks different than you would think on the finger, it's easier to find things you don't like that way." Miranda laughed along with her, letting the woman hand over the ring to let Miranda slid it onto her ring finger. She made a little bit of a show of letting it hit the store lighting to let it sparkle, and turned to look at Macey, holding her hand out slightly. "Look at this! I love the detailing on the band, Mace."
The woman pulled the rings out of the case, and it was like Macey was physically drawn to it. Her feet carried her over to the diamonds as she watched Miranda try on the jewels. She rubbed the palms of her hands against the inside of her jacket, feeling itchy and antsy. There were so many rings right there. Getting any would be a bit of a challenge, but, the thought sparked the gears in her mind, and soon Macey had excitedly formulated an entire plan to walk out of here with a fresh, big rock for herself for no other reason besides wanting it.
Fresh on the coattails of her idea however, was the sting of knowing the argument that would follow. She wasn't stupid, it'd be an even bigger blowout than the first time. Every insecurity reared its ugly head and Macey frowned. A shirt is nothing compared to a diamond. So caught up in her head, Macey almost forgot to listen to what her sister was saying,
"Oh! Wow," She nodded, back to playing along, "Yeah, that's gorgeous. Um, Miranda I'm just gonna like, make a quick phone call? I'll be right back." Macey walked out of the store, the fresh mall air bringing a sigh of relief. With her back to her sister, she pulled out her phone to distract herself until her brain had calmed down again.
"Okay!" Miranda watched her sister walk out of the store, knowing that she needed a minute to clear her head. Part of her felt bad for making Macey so uncomfortable with all the rings being taken out, but she had secretly been hoping that she would leave for a minute. As soon as she disappeared around the store front, Miranda quickly turned to the salesperson. "Okay, hi. True story quickly before she comes back: I think her boyfriend called earlier, his name was Brent." When the salesperson nodded, she grinned, "Okay perfect, we're trying to get my sister to help give us some ideas actually."
The woman nodded knowingly, a smile spreading across her face, "Oh, I see. Yeah, he did call earlier, he mentioned two of you would be here." She clapped her hands together, "Okay, great! So, she's the potential bride, then?" She pointed to Macey and nodded, "Do you have any idea of what maybe her style is? So I could steer in that direction? Or, I can just offer to let her try things on, too and maybe she'll give us some ideas herself? Do you know if she is expecting this at all? Have they been together long? Sorry, a lot of questions."
"Yes, she is!" She laughed. "Oh man, if she heard that out loud, she'd flip out. So big no on the expecting it question, but they've been together for about...five years now?" She counted quickly, "Yeah, five." She held out the ring that she just had on her finger up to the woman, not even daring to attempt to steal anything and ruin this for them, "This is right in between our two styles, she's a little more...simple isn't the right word, but she wouldn't like something super flashy, I think?" She shrugged, "Other than that, I'm not too sure, so hopefully she finds something she really likes."
The woman nodded sagely, putting together a game plan in her mind. When Macey came back over, she gave the girl a smile, "You're welcome to try anything you want on, too! I know sometimes it's kind of stir crazy just watching someone else try on pretty jewelry."
Macey gave a light laugh, "Oh, hah, yeah." She cleared her throat, not sure if trying something on would help or hinder her, "I don't know. Definitely maybe if I see something, but." She shrugged, leaving it at that, "Thank you."
Miranda quickly swapped rings with the salesperson when she heard Macey coming back, so that way it looked like she had actually been trying on a few different pieces while she was gone. "Mace, come on!" She walked over to her sister, grabbing her hand with her right hand, squeezing it a little bit in reassurance. "Just try one on, and if you hate it for whatever reason, then you're off the hook. Promise."
Macey threw her head back and sighed, still unsure if Miranda was egging her on to steal or genuinely wanted her to join in.
"Alright. Sure." She took a casual glance around at the few cases, seeing mostly a selection of flashy, big diamonds; Something she would likely grab on a whim if left to her own devices. She pointed to one at random, "Uh, that one?"
The salesperson smiled and took it out of the case, "Good choice. That's a popular one."
Macey took the ring like it was an explosive she needed to detonate, holding it between her fingers for a moment before slipping it on her right hand. "Wow," She breathed out, surprised by the look of it. It felt, well, gaudy, "That is...a large ring." She hummed, staring at it for a moment before quickly taking it off her finger and handing it back.
"Not your style?" The salesperson nodded sagely.
"I thought it was," Macey shrugged, "But I guess not. Um, what else did you find Miranda?"
Miranda bit back a laugh at Macey's immediate rejection of the ring she had chosen. "It's crazy how much your taste has changed. You from...what? 5, 6 years ago? However long, lo que se, would've been all over that." She held out her own hand, now adorned with a twisted silver band, "A little simpler than the other one, I'd say."
She put another false, giddy smile on her face, trying to keep the story Macey believed up, "We're the same size right?" She looked at some of the others on the display, pulling another, yet slightly simpler ring and held it out to her sister, "Can you try this one on for me? I need to see how simple is too simple for me."
Macey rolled her eyes with a smile, "Yeah, I can." She took the ring, a bit less apprehensive this time, an slipped it onto her hand, flipping it around to show Miranda, "Too simple? I'm not a silver person, personally. I say rose gold or bust. Be extra."
Miranda looked at the ring on Macey's finger, then held her own hand up so both rings were next to each other, "Hm, yeah I think you're right. I need a bit of flare in there." She looked over the saleswoman, "Do you have any rose gold bands that we can look at?"
"Oh yes, right over here we have a few of them on display." After taking both rings from the sisters, and locking that tray away, she led them over to a different display case, opening it up and placing a tray of rose gold rings down on the counter. She looked between the two of them, and watched as Miranda leaned in to get a closer look at them, "Are any of these more your style?"
Macey leaned her elbows on the counter next to her sister and looked over at her, "See, I have taste."
Miranda couldn't argue with that, and nodded her head in agreement, "Claro." She reached for a ring, turning it around in her hand a few times before sliding it onto her finger. She held it out to catch the light, and wiggled her fingers slightly, "How does it look?"
"Cute," Macey smiled, "Very sparkly." Her eyes drifted back to the case and glanced around at the other options. She raised her brows, "Dude, you could be like, super hardcore and have like, a grey or black diamond, what the hell?" Macey laughed in surprise, leaning down to inspect them further, "That's so dope."
The salesperson quirked a brow for only Miranda to see before wiggling one of the darker options from the few, "They're called Salt and Pepper diamonds, they're more natural that the classic, crystal ones." She held the ring out to Macey with a friendly shrug, "Want to try it?"
Macey took the ring with another smile, again trying hard not to remember the fact that these were very real, very expensive jewels in her hand. She slipped the ring onto her finger, and held her hand out to give it a better look. "Oooh, Miranda, you have to try this one." She grinned, taking the ring off and passing it to her sister.
Miranda's eyes widened slightly when she heard Macey mention black diamonds. "I heard of those! I've only seen them on pinterest though, but they look super fucking cute." She slid the ring off her finger, handing it back over before taking the smoky diamond offered to her and slipped it on. She held her hand back out, letting out a small whistle as she turned her hand slightly to look at it, "That's insanely pretty, Mace."
She looked back over, catching the salespersons eye for a split second before pulling another dark diamond out of the bunch and handed it over to Macey, "This band is a bit different, I think. Do you mind, babe?"
Macey laughed, giving another roll of her eyes but taking the ring anyways, "What's the difference if I try it on instead of you?" She put the ring on and wiggled her fingers at Miranda, "Like, do you wanna get specific? Like, are you into round diamonds or square or whatever—?" She nearly cut herself off from dropping a casual 'fuck', this place seemed far too nice for her vulgar mouth.
"Because we're basically the same hand size, so if we both wear one, then I can see the difference of them on and compare hot they look on the hand side by side. Keep up, Mace, it's important." Her voice was teasing and nudged Macey's hand with her own. "Now come on, help me. Which one do you like more? They're both awesome."
Macey sighed, keeping the thought to herself that this was a bit much for just a ruse to steal a ring, but, she kept up with it. Miranda was the pro of luxury swiping out of all of them, so she must’ve had good reason.
“I’m not a fan of the round one, it’s too basic. The square one is a bit better, but again, we’re not basic.”
The salesperson nodded, “Completely understandable, there are a ton of different styles out there. I get the feel that you girls maybe are swinging a bit less traditional. But still fairly elegant.” She pulled a ring from the rose gold group and offered it to them. It was a teardrop shaped black diamond, with smaller diamonds embedded into the band itself.
Macey’s face lit up, and she pointed to the ring definitively, “That one. Yup. There you go.”
Miranda took the ring that was offered, slipping it onto her finger and once again holding it up to the light, being sure to show Macey the perfect angles of the ring in question. She saw the way her sister's face had lit up when she caught sight of it, easily the strongest reaction to any of the rings they had looked at so far, and grinned, "So? What do you think?"
Macey rested her face in her hands, still leaning on the counter, and grinned, "I love it. I think it's perfect." She nodded, "But also, we aren't here for me, we're here for you, so, really what you think is the most important."
Feeling the excitement bubbling up in her stomach, Miranda bit her lip to try and hide how strong her grin was, though she believed that she managed to pass it off as a reaction to loving the ring, "I think it's gorgeous, and super different." She went to slip off the ring, but paused, "Oh, I almost forget to take a photo of it."
She quickly pulled out her phone, snapping a quick picture of the ring and smiling to the salesperson to keep the story up, "I can totally get Marco to believe that I just stumbled across this online."
With the photo secured, Miranda slipped off the ring for real this time, and looked between the salesperson and Macey before slowly offering the ring to her sister, "Did you wanna try it on? Just for the hell of it?"
Macey gave one more roll of her eyes at Miranda's theatrics, doing everything she could to bite back a laugh at 'Marco', and nodded, "Yeah, sure."
She slipped the ring onto her right hand and held it out, letting the light catch. After a moment, she switched the ring over to her left hand—just to see the difference, her mind insisted. She wiggled her ring finger around, taking a mental note of how it felt, and for once, not letting a nerve-wracking thought be pushed aside. It felt nice.
Macey nodded and took the ring off, handing it back to the salesperson, "Anything else you wanted to see?" She quirked a brow at her sister.
Miranda shook her head, "Nope." She said, popping the 'p' before turning to the salesperson and grinning, "Thank you so much for all your help!" her eyes gleamed, and she did her best not to grin as the salesperson returned her smile and nodded, "Of course! It was my pleasure, ladies. Enjoy the rest of your day!"
Hooking her arm through her sister's, Miranda pulled her out of the store, her free hand flashing to her pocket as she grinned brightly at her, "Well, that was fun! How about we get you that pretzel now?"
When Macey raised an eyebrow at her, Miranda laughed, holding up her hand to show her the gold band that she had "just" stolen, and had slipped onto her finger, wiggling it, "It's all about the story, babes. Leave it to the pros."
Macey let out a laugh, bewildered that Miranda had somehow managed to swipe something right under the woman's nose, "You amaze me. And yeah, you owe me a fucking pretzel after all that torture you just put me through, lets go."

chatzy | news
date: 6/7/17 characters: Avery, Macey, Nadia, and Chiron description: Chiron and the Ares cabin have to break the news of what happened to Macey. Her response is not a surprise to anyone.
Nadia sits at a table in the Big House with Chiron and Avery, fidgeting with her thumbs. "I literally have no idea what her reaction's going to be. It's a toss up. Do we have like, a back up plan?"
Avery is sitting on the chair, her feet on it so that her knees are brought up to her chest, resting her head on her knee. She hasn't slept much since the incident. "I don't either, how does one break this to her lightly? She probably already knows something is up. She'll know the minute she walks in too to see Brent not here. I don't blame her if she completely blames me."
Chiron frowns at the table, his arms crossed. "Whatever happens, we can't let her or anyone else leave without a plan. I think the first thing we have to do is find, roughly, where he is and then find the fastest and safest way to get to him." He pinches the bridge of his nose. "I assume they'll be contacting us soon enough, if they made such a show of taking him." After a few more moments of thought, he looks at Nadia and Avery. "This was a situation outside of anyone's control. No one is at fault and I think it's better to focus our energy on getting Brent back."
Macey was running through all the possibilities of why Chiron would've called her to the Big House. Possible options she'd come up with on her walk from her cabin were either that he needed her help (very unlikely), her siblings had done something absolutely ridiculous (very likely), or....well, she wasn't sure what else it might be. She checked her phone one more time as her hip bumped open the Big House's screen door. She hadn't heard from Brent in a while, but dismissed it to the fact that he was probably fighting off monsters with his sisters. Which made looking up to see Nadia and Avery sitting with Chiron all the more surprising. Even more surprising was the obviously lack of the third and tallest member of their cabin. She stopped, blinked, and slowly put her phone back into her pocket, unsure of how to respond, "Um...hi?"
Chiron regards Macey solemnly. "I'm glad you could join us. Please sit."
Macey very quickly got wind of the vibe in the room, and her heart immediately picked up its pace. "Saying I need to sit always means something bad happened." She says, not sitting.
Nadia sighs. "Just sit, girl."
Avery looked down at her nails, biting her lip. "Macey, please, just sit."
Macey does not like the looks on everyone's faces. She frowns, folds her arms, and finally sits down.
Chiron takes a deep breath before speaking. "Macey, something unforeseen happened on this quest and... Well, I'll just be blunt. Brent has been taken."
Macey stares at them with blank eyes for a few moments, processing the words. When she finally speaks her words have an edge to them, "What do you mean he's been taken? Who took him?"
Avery took a gulp. "Felix," she said, softly.
Macey blinked, letting the name fully settle in her brain. "I'm sorry, did you just say Felix?" A simmering feeling of anger began to seep out of her chest, "You mean his psychotic, traitor ex-boyfriend who also has magical powers? That Felix?"
Chiron sighs. "Yes."
Macey looks around at the three of them, her face difficult to read. "How in the hell did that happen?"
Nadia watches Macey carefully. Her words are spoken with care, "We stopped to eat and he appeared out of thin air. He took Brent, the object we were delivering, and the car, and disappeared."
Macey "Okay," She glances around at them again, unsure why no one's getting up or doing anything. Another part of her is being consumed with a dire need to murder a certain son of Hecate. "Well, are we leaving to go get him, then?"
Avery avoided eye contact with Macey. "We need a good plan first."
Chiron "We have no idea where he is, at the moment. It would be unwise to go out and wander blindly."
Macey raises her eyebrows, "Um, I have him in Find My iPhone, we can get his location in like, 2 seconds. I don't know why we're just sitting here and moping right now."
Nadia "And Felix probably knows someone does and will have taken the phone the moment he got him. It's not that easy."
Avery "And what are you going to do when you use it? You can't just walk in blindly. That's not the smartest move. That's like setting yourself up for failure. Like Nadia said, it's not that easy," she replied.
Chiron "Even if you find him through those means, we can't leave unless we're prepared."
Macey throws her hands up in frustration, "Okay. Then lets get prepared and get out of here. Literally every second we're wasting just sitting here talking Felix could be doing fucking gods knows what."
Avery "Brent would kill us if you went," she said.
Nadia rubs her hands on her thighs, "We're all too close to this situation for any of us to be part of the rescue mission. Our close ties with him could jeopardize it."
Chiron nods. "You weren't here when I explained that earlier, but yes. None of you can go."
Avery "Which I know is complete bullshit," she said. "But it's true. Felix could use us to get to Brent."
Avery "We need to come up with a plan not go in and start punching."
Macey doesn't know if it's the jumble of feelings in her stomach or the stress of the situation, but she lets out a laugh. "Sorry, but if you think I'm not going to help save my boyfriend from potentially dying you're fucking kidding yourselves."
Nadia "Do you think me and Avery don't want to go and save our brother? It's just taking precautions. This way less people have a chance of getting hurt, and Brent has a better chance of getting out of there quicker."
Chiron stares at Macey curiously. "You sound just like him," he mumbles. "Macey, this is for the best, I promise."
Avery "He'll use you Macey," she said, letting her legs drop off the chair. "You said it yourself he's psychotic. He'll be a step ahead of you if you do that. We need to be strategic, and you'd be stupid if you run in there to save Brent. I want my brother back just as much as you want him back. But you're blinded right now."
Macey feels the simmering anger from earlier grow to a boil inside of her. Fighting won't help. She purses her lips and looks between the three of them, clearly angry, and after a moment of contemplation, pushes her chair back and stands, "Fine. Whatever. Let me know when you come up with a rescue plan or something." She turns on her heel and walks out of the room, abruptly slamming the door behind her.
Nadia watches her leave, then immediately looks to Chiron, "If we're going with the very déjà-vu-y feeling I've been having this whole time, I'm pretty positive she's going to be leaving camp in about, uh...ten-ish minutes." She sighs, "Do you want us to go after her?"
Chiron heaves a sigh, then nods. "Yes, that sounds like a good idea."
Nadia looks over at Avery and stands, "C'mon, Aves, this probably isn't going to be pretty."
Avery gets up, running her hand through her hair before nodding. "Okay, let's go get her, if she really is pulling a Brent, she'll try to get there as soon as possible."
Nadia nods and walks out of the Big House, making her way back to their cabin as quickly as possible. She bounds up the stairs once inside and, as she expected, finds Macey in Brent's room, throwing all of her belongings and all of the extra weapons she could find into a duffle bag. Nadia glances at Avery and leans on the doorframe. "Going somewhere?"
Macey doesn't look up at them and continues to throw things into her bag, "Technically, I'm not going on camp's rescue mission. So, I'm not actually breaking any rules here."
Avery "You can't do this, Macey," Avery replied.
Macey "If we sit here and take our sweet-ass time coming up with a plan, by the time whoever gets there, Brent will be dead." Her voice is flat; Focused and serious, "I can't let that happen."
Nadia sighs, "God, it’s like I’m living in a never-ending time loop." With purposeful strides she walked over and snatched up Macey’s bag. She held it over the smaller girl’s head and watched as she swiped for it, unable to reach. "You’re not leaving," Nadia gripped the duffle bag tightly, "You know what happens if you leave?" She didn’t wait for a response, "You’re gonna get yourself caught. If you head out of here as some one-woman army, you're gonna get taken. You know how I know? Because what you’re doing? Right now? He did the same damn thing when it was Rae who got taken. So if you do this and get caught, he’ll know it, because he knows you, and he’ll hate himself more for getting you into it. So, you’re not leaving."
Avery froze when Macey said 'Brent will be dead'. "And you don't think, I don't want that to happen? This is my fault. But if you leave, if we let you walk out of this camp and try to be a hero, that's stupid, Brent will kill all of us for that and you know that. You're not an army, Macey, because you not rescuing him doesn't make you any less of a girlfriend, or make you any less caring, it's just makes you reckless."
Macey reaches up and tries to snatch her bag from Nadia one more time, without success. She glares at the both of them, "I don't care. I'm not just gonna sit here and twiddle my thumbs, I have to do something."
Avery walked toward her. "Then help us come up with something instead of fighting us. I know your angry Macey, I'm angry too. Hell, I'm scared, seeing Felix return I thought I was in a nightmare."
Nadia "Also, if you're gonna keep fighting us, I'm gonna have to lock you down in this room so I know you won't leave and I don't feel like doing that."
Macey "You don't—" She jumps for her bag again and gives a loud, agitated groan when she can't reach, "—You don't get it! Fuck. I can't just—Sitting here and planning won't—After everything he—" Her eyes are angry and sad and terrified all at once. "Dammit!" She lets out a shout and tries to shove the two girls out of the way, "I just need to go, okay?! I can't let him die because I just sat here. I can't—!" Her words failed her and quieted down, "I can't live with that."
Avery put her hands on Macey's shoulders. "Listen, Brent will not die," she said. "And I will stay up every second until I figure a way to bring him back here. This is Brent we're talking about. He's been through hell and back way more times than I can count." She fidgeted anxiously, looking at Macey finally in the eyes. "He's strong." That's what she needed to tell herself to not freak out.
Macey stomps her feet on the ground a few times, as if her body doesn't know how else to expel all of its energy. All she keeps seeing in her head is the night Jack got hurt over and over again. "You don't get it, that's exactly why I need to go. He doesn't—" Instinctively, she presses the heels of her palms into her eyes sockets as hard as she can, keeping the rising feeling of tears from going any further. She sighs, hands still to her eyes, not shaking Avery's hands off of her shoulders, "He doesn't deserve this."
Nadia slowly lowers Macey's bag as the other girl speaks, fairly certain they're in the clear.
Avery "No, he doesn't," she said, wrapping Macey in a hug. "We'll find him, if it's the last thing I ever do, we'll find him. No time to waste right? We need to get crackin' on a plan, the sooner we get a perfect fool proof plan, the sooner we get someone to him."
Macey can't help her natural response of stepping out of the hug rather than hugging back, finally lowering her hands from her eyes. She turns and kicks at his bed frame a few times, "This isn't fair. This isn't fucking fair. He's been through hell and it's fucked him up and he doesn't talk about it, and now he'll be even worse."
Nadia feels awful seeing Macey so distraught, and she's hurting, too, but, someone needs to be the voice of reason, "Contemplating and speculating won't help. If we're gonna save him as soon as possible, we all need clear heads and to be focused." She drops Macey's bag onto the floor and steps closer, "Maybe we should all lay low and get a good night's sleep, then come back to this in the morning?"
Avery dropped her hands to her sides when Macey stepped from her. It broke her heart to watch Macey like this. She sighed. "I don't think I'll be able to sleep," she said, though she was clearly exhausted, she then looked to Nadia and then back to Macey, her hand fooling around with her bracelets. "But Nadia's right, having a clear head would work better for this."
Macey shakes her head. She had to pull herself together. "No." Her fingers slide under her eyes, trying to fix the eyeliner she previously smudged, "We don't have that kind of time. I mean, if you guys need until the morning, that's fine. I'll start brainstorming or whatever. I just...need to take a shower or something. Gimme like, a couple hours."
Nadia sighs, then nods, "Do whatever you need to do, girl. We're with you. I know I definitely need to sleep on this, though."
Avery "Honestly, I probably won't be able to sleep, I'll be here, thinkin'," she replied. "We'll get him back Macey, we will."
Macey presses a hand to her lips and nods. "Yeah. Okay. Um," She nods again, walking around in a circle before finding the bag by Nadia's feet. She grabs it and places it back on his bed, "I'll text you if I come up with anything. Um." Macey looks between Avery and Nadia, "Thank you. For telling me."
Nadia gives the best little smile she can muster, knowing from Avery's attempt at a hug touching probably wasn't the best idea. "Of course. I'll see you in the morning." She gives a little head jerk to Avery, motioning for them to probably give her some space.
Avery saw Nadia and gave her a little glare, though it was telling her that she got the message. "Wouldn't ever keep it from you," she said, before starting to walk out of the room.
Macey watches them go, and, when the door shuts behind them, drops face first onto the bed. She squeezes her eyes shut and waits for a moment, thinking maybe Brent will walk in and tell her it was all a joke, but he never does. The room is silent and his bed smells like that stupid cologne he likes. She stares at a picture of them on his dresser. It hurts. Macey gets up, grabs some new clothes from her bag, and walks out the door.

chatzy | thanks, utah
date: 06/05/2017 characters: Brent, Nadia, and Avery description: The Ares children experience a slightly very unfortunate hiccup on their quest.
Nadia pushes her hat out of her eyes, failing at her attempts to nap, and sits up. "Please tell me we're out of Wyoming by now."
Avery "You asked that like 20 minutes ago, it's still a no," she replied, sending a quick text back to Mikey on her phone before going back to her drawing she was working on.
Nadia mutters, "I hate Wyoming.”
Brent squinted past the sunlight at the sign ahead. "One more hour. I think."
Avery "You know you guys didn't have to do this," Avery said, probably for the hundredth time since the trip began. "I would've bit the bullet and done it."
Brent "I would've never let you go on your own," Brent said, looking at her through the rearview mirror. "You're stuck with me no matter what."
Nadia waves her hand, "Ditto."
Avery sighed. "Why the hell did I have to go? Was that what it was like with your quest?" she questioned Brent.
Brent shrugs. "Ares said he picked the two of us specifically, but he probably just did that because he knew we were on bad terms and he thought it would be fun, or whatever." He glances back to his sister. "I bet anything he was just being an asshole because he felt like it. Don't think too hard about it. We'll be done soon enough."
Nadia "He just likes picking on all of us." Her next words are purposely a little louder than need be, as if he could hear, "Because he's an asshole."
Avery "I don't know what going on a quest means, does it mean it's getting bad again or it's just Ares being an asshole," she said.
Nadia "Technically they're a thing that's supposed to happen often. So it doesn't mean anything's getting bad. They're just annoying."
Avery sighed and went back to her drawing. "Well, it sucks."
Brent "It does," he said, turning up the radio. He drives in relative silence for a while, eventually making it into Utah. "We're close to where Wyatt and I crashed," he mused, looking at a directional for the Great Salt Lake "We can stop and get some food in Salt Lake, if you two want."
Avery "As long as there's something gluten free, I'm in," she replied.
Nadia "As long as you don't drive us into the lake, I'm also in." She smiles.
Brent rolls his eyes, cracking a small smile. "I think I can make that happen," he said, pulling off the highway.
Avery "Can we take a road trip one of these days, non-God related?" Avery asked, popping her head in between the seats. "We could get Wyatt and Mikey and Macey and Jacob and Rae in on it too. Staring at that package fuckin' bums me out and totally ruins this whole driving across the country vibe. I never got a real road trip in my life, I want that."
Nadia thinks about it. "I think Macey and Rae would like, bicker the entire time, but besides that it could be fun?"
Brent "I don't think they'd...." He pauses. "Well... You're right. It sounds fun, though. Maybe the three of us can take a slightly more scenic way back."
Avery "Yeah, but it's not like we'll leave them in a room alone, oh my Gods, would Macey kill me if I left her in a room alone with Rae?" Avery smiled jokingly. "But taking the more scenic way back sounds nice, some what sibling road trip, that sounds okay I guess."
Nadia "I mean? I don't think she'd kill you, they'd just probably see who could out-annoy the other?" She nodded along with Brent's idea, "I'm cool with the scenic route back, too."
Brent "Great. Anything is better than driving through cornfields for twelve hours."
Nadia "TRUE."
Avery "I feel like I'm in like that Children of the Corn movie. Granted I've never seen that movie, I'm just guessing it's a scary movie about children in a cornfield."
Brent drives through the city for a bit until he finds someplace promising. He parks and immediately steps out of the car, stretching.
Nadia stretches her arms over her head and hops out of the car, turning her baseball hat around so she can see. "So, this is what Utah looks like."
Avery got out from the car, stretching a little also before throwing her hair up in a messy bun. "You know, I thought it would look different than this."
Brent laughs as he walks to the restaurant. "What were you expecting?"
Avery "I thought it was going to be more dull," she replied with a shrug.
Nadia squints at the restaurant and the parking lot, "Um, is this place even open? We'r like the only car here..." She jogs ahead of them to check the hours listed on the door.
Brent is about to follow Nadia when he hears something behind him. He turns but sees nothing, but his hand hovers to the hidden sword in his pocket as he checks the other side of the car.
Avery "It's like 4pm," she says. "What restaurant closes that early?"
Brent doesn't find anything on the other side of the van, either. He hesitates, then starts to walk back around when a blinding pain spreads from his abdomen through his entire body. He gasps and crumples to the ground, stars in his eyes.
Nadia whips around when she hears a thud and sprints back over to Brent, "What happened?"
Avery is closest to Brent, and she barely has enough time to process a thought before she's running toward him. Her hand on a dagger. "Brent, what's wrong?"
Brent grabs one of their sleeves and holds on tightly, squeezing his eyes shut. He tries to say something but only succeeds in making a pained noise as he writhes on the ground.
Avery gripped her dagger a little harder, surveying around them, taking deep breaths as she walks a few steps from Brent, her heart pounding.
Nadia reaches down and puts a hand on his arm, "Avery, help me sit him up."
Avery returns to Brent and helps her sister with him, biting her lip anxiously. "What's the hell is happening?"
Nadia "I don't know, but I'm guessing something bad. Probably monster related. Be ready."
Brent goes still as the pain suddenly subsides, gulping for air. "Fuck," he whispered, pushing himself up. "Fuck."
Avery is there to help Brent. "Are you okay?" she questioned, quietly, her dagger still in hand.
Felix appears out of thin air behind the three. "Hiii," he chimes, waving his hand. He grabs Brent by the shoulders, and in the same instant, disappears with him. The car, at the same time, vanishes, leaving Nadia and Avery alone.
Nadia has no idea what just happened and spins around approximately three times in shock.
Avery eyes widened. "What the fuck just happened?" she asked letting out a shaky breath. "Was that just...? Am I having a nightmare?"
Nadia stares where the car was, as if it's gonna reappear somehow. When it doesn't she presses a hand to her forehead, "Fuck! Fuck, fuck." She pulls her phone out of her pocket, "I'm calling camp right now."
Avery’s hands shake, staring at the spot where Brent was sitting. She takes out her phone, fumbling with it, tears welling up in her eyes trying to attempt to call Brent, hoping somehow that would magically make him show up. "He took him, He took Brent, Nadia," she rambled out, trying to type in the right number on her phone. "This can't be happening. What are we going to do? Shit, this is my fault, I should've went on this stupid thing alone."
Nadia walks over to Avery and puts her hands on her shoulders, taking in a deep breath, "Okay, Aves, I need you to stay calm. The first rule of a quest is to stay cool, even during shit like this. We're gonna call Chiron and get back to camp as soon as possible. And then we're gonna go rescue Brent."
Avery "How the fuck are we going to get back, the fucking car is gone," she said, not staying calm, she could stay calm but the moment her siblings were in trouble was when Avery lost it. "Half our weapons were in there, the package was in there, our things were in there."
Nadia does her best to keep her chill and not snap. She pulls her phone from her pocket and gently lets go of Avery's shoulders, "We're demigods, Chiron has connections exactly for this kind of an emergency. Let’s just call camp, and then head to a store and see what we can do about supplies."
Avery nodded slightly, taking a hard gulp. "Okay, okay," she agreed, looking from Nadia to the spot where the car and her brother once was, before looking at her phone, hoping this was just a horrible another nightmare like the ones she used to get after the war ended and she'd wake up soon enough to find everyone safe.
Nadia gives her a little smile. "Good, I'm gonna call camp. Do you wanna like, Google nearby stores around here?"
Avery nodded. "Sure," she responded quietly, doing as she was told by Nadia, struggling to type it in her phone with trembling hands.

chatzy | hot tub party
date: 5/18/17 characters: pretty much everyone description: people are chillin’ at the hot tubs and it’s A Good Time
Parker had sent a mass text for people to come to the hot tubs and is now walking there.
Malia is walking with Parker. "I should have been the one to text everyone. I'm more popular."
Parker shrugs. "I'm cuter."
Malia scoffs. "In your dreams."
Kieran arrives first at the hot tubs, already having been in the area. "Ugh." He contemplates leaving and coming back late, but instead opts to lounge on the deck of one of the hot tubs, very nonchalantly, very candidly.
Rosie was also in the area and shows up soon as well. She grins when she sees Parker and skips over to hip check him. "Yo."
Parker laughs at Malia and nods at Rosie, performing their hand shake perfectly when he sees her to make up for all the awkward fist bumps he's put people through. "Hey."
Rosie laughs at their handshake and slaps his shoulder afterwards in a friendly way before grinning at Malia too.
Malia smiles at Rosie. "Did you make sure the rest of your cabin is coming?"
Macey walks over to the hot tubs right on cue, except brent is with her not the rest of the hermes cabin sorry
Rosie "Haven't had the chance!" She looks over when Macey shows up, and points her thumb at her. "But there you go. I used our cabin telepathy to summon her."
Parker laughs at Rosie and nods at Macey.
Isaiah shows up to the hot tubs. "Are we not gonna swim?" he asks the group.
Macey gives a big wave and smile to everyone.
Parker runs a hand through his hair and shrugs at Isaiah. "Half of us are Aphrodite kids. We're just here to be shirtless."
Isaiah "Damn, I'm in the wrong cabin. Can I join you?"
Kieran "Um, please don't speak for me." Kieran looks over at Parker, still clothed.
Rosie is wearing a swimsuit under her clothing because she's #prepared. She starts pulling off her other clothes. "I'm gonna swim!"
Parker grins at Kieran. "Are you gonna swim?"
Malia doesn't care about this conversation anymore because Mav hasn't shown up, so she goes to sit next to Kieran.
Parker shakes his head at Isaiah. "Can't join the cabin, but you can join the lifestyle."
Kennedy shows up at the hot tubs, throwing her hair up into a ponytail and takes a seat next to Malia. "Hey," she says.
Rosie goes into the water.
Isaiah grins and walks closer to the group. "Sounds good. Parker, right? And..." He looks to the others. "Macey and... Brent?"
Kieran lounges back and shakes his head. "I'm hot enough, thanks."
Parker dips his head in a nod and sits with his legs in the water. He grins at Kieran again. "Sure."
Macey gives a smile and thumbs up at Isaiah, before starting to take off her clothes because she is also #prepared like Rosie with a swimsuit, "That's me!"
Malia "That's lame." she says to Kieran, pulling her coverup off. "Are you just here to look candid?"
Rosie dunks her head under the water then shakes her head so sprays anyone near with the water.
Kennedy "Maybe he's scared of the water," she teases Kieran as though she isn't.
Kieran "I'd look candid whether or not I was here." Kieran flips his hair to the side. "I'm just trying to enjoy this lovely day."
.L shows up, swaying a bit intentionally so that her dress twirls around her while she walks.
Malia "Whatever," she says, lowering herself into the water.
Isaiah "Sis!" He waves to L from his hot tub.
Rosie spots L and waves at her as well.
.L waves at the two of them and skips over to Isaiah. "What's up?"
Isaiah "Do you know where our sibling is?"
.L hums and shakes her head. "I think he was writing something? Somewhere?"
Ellie walks toward the hot tubs with Ben. "It'll be okay, I'm sure, I'm mean it's the hot tubs, it can't be that bad," she replied. "I'm started to babble, aren't I?" Once they were there she looked around. "Any specific place you want to go here?"
Ben "Didn't someone get beat up here once?" Ben looks around. "I'm fine anywhere."
Macey slowly and carefully gets into a hot tub and sits down, then holds her phone out over the edge of it to check a text message.
Rosie goes onto her back and tries to float like that.
saiah sighs, shaking his head. "Well, join the fun! Did you know the Aphrodite kids apparently are only here to be shirtless?"
Kieran overhears Isaiah and shakes his head. "I feel so misrepresented," he laments.
Kennedy overhears Isaiah and is a little taken aback. "Who told him that?"
Brent shows up with two glasses in his hands. He sits next to Macey and places a glass in front of her. "We didn't have much so I just made gin and tonics."
Ellie "Okay, I tried to optimistic for about .2 seconds," she said before taking off her shoes and sitting by one of the hot tubs, only putting her feet in the water. "This camp is really confusing."
Malia "It's kind of true, Candid."
.L laughs at Isaiah. "I bet!" She kicks off her shoes before pulling off her dress and climbing into the tub.
Parker waves at Kennedy. "That's all me. I'm just trying to tell it like it is."
Alec shows up and looks around for people they know.
Rosie gets bored and swaps hot tubs to be in the same one as L and Isaiah. She slings an arm around L's shoulders.
Ben chuckles a bit. "Sorry." He sits next to Ellie and checks out who's here. "It is. But it's been weirder since everything happened."
.L smiles at Rosie and leans against her. "What's up?"
Isaiah "Rosie, my girl." He grins at her.
Macey looks up from her phone and smiles, scooting the drink closer to her, "Merci, Boo." She makes some room for him and puts her phone down, "My mom would legit kill me if I dropped my phone in here right before I go back."
Kennedy "Am I allowed to be on Kieran's side for this," she replied, still fully clothes in a t-shirt and shorts.
Parker "Is this what splits our family apart?" He laughs.
Kieran "Join me, Kennedy." Kieran glances at Parker. "Shirts versus skins."
Rosie kisses L's cheek, then grins at Isaiah. "'Sup, kiddos?"
Alec spots Ellie and goes to crouch down on the other side of her to Ben. "Hey!"
Jacob hops into the hot tub with Macey and reaches for her glass. "So," they say mostly at Brent. "You couldn't get drinks for the whole family?"
Malia rolls her eyes. "As long as Parker and I are on the same side."
Brent narrows his eyes at Jacob. "You're never here. Did something happen?"
Ellie "Yeah, I figured, confusing is okay though, you get used to it," she replied when Alec comes up behind her, she jumps a little. "Hey, Alec, why not next time just push me in if you want to scare me to death."
Parker laughs again. "Aren't we always?"
Kieran smirks at Malia. "Sure. Lower East."
Kennedy laughed. "Of course," she replied, "We'd be the dream team, we'll have customized shirts and everything. With your approval on the design obviously."
.L "We're cooking like lobsters."
Macey lets Jacob take her drink, "Save some for me. But, that's a valid point."
Jacob shrugs at the question and takes a long sip of the drink. "I don't think so. I could be wrong, like super wrong, but if you're asking me? Nothing happened."
Alec laughs at Ellie. "I can still push you in!"
Rosie nods. "Hot."
Macey "So, something happened."
Malia scoffs at Kieran. "Says the hipster."
Kieran chuckles. "I wasn't trying to bash the Lower East side, I was trying to hurt you."
Jacob "So anyway," he takes one more sip before putting the glass down. "How is life out here? What are you guys doing?"
.L nods at Rosie. "It's in the name."
Brent sighs and sips his drink.
Parker grins at the two of them and dips his hand into the water before flicking water off his fingers at all three of his siblings.
Malia shrugs. "At least you didn't say Lower W- Parker, stop."
Ellie looked to Alec. "Ah, yes, perfect idea," she replied sarcastically, "that way I can drown." Ellie looked between Alec and Ben. "Have you two met?"
Kieran flinches away from the splash. "Why?"
Kennedy moves away from the splashing. "Seriously, Parker?"
Kennedy mostly because she doesn't want to get her clothes too wet.
Macey takes her drink back and finally has a sip from it. "Panicking that I'm gonna come back here post-sisters-wedding with my accent in tow. What about you?"
Parker rolls his eyes. "Why are you guys even here?"
Alec just grins at her. "It's a hot tub! Can't you just stand up? I haven't actually been in these hot tubs, maybe they're deeper than they look and everyone's just like, floating weirdly." They look at Ben, then wave at him. "Not officially! I don't think?"
Jacob "Looking for cheap ways to get to Canada."
Macey grins, "Good."
Brent "If you get lost I'm not finding you."
Ben was not prepared to meet new people and waves at Alec awkwardly. "Hey."
Kieran pulls up the text from Parker and holds it up to his face.
Jacob scoffs. "I've gotten lost in worse places and managed just fine."
Rosie sinks down until the water is to her chin. "Human soup pots."
Macey "Um, he will because I will and he goes where I go, so."
Parker sighs. "Okay."
.L grins at Rosie. "We just need some carrots."
Kennedy "I like hanging out with you guys?" she replied. "Besides, I don't get to do it a lot anymore. Let me live my immortal life." She stuck her hand in and splashed Parker.
Isaiah laughs. "You two are weird."
Brent "Wow, let me play hard to get, Mace."
Ellie "Seriously Alec, don't push me into the water," she replied. "Alec, this is Ben, Neighbor boy this is Alec."
Rosie grins at Isaiah, then sinks beneath the water completely.
Parker lets Kennedy splash him. "So being immortal means you get to splash me all you want but I don't get to do it back? Or is that just because you're my sister?"
Alec "Nice to meet you!" they say to Ben, sitting down now.
Malia "Sister," Malia chimes in, splashing Parker lightly.
.L beams at her sibling now and dips her head back so her head gets wet. "You don't feel like you're being boiled?"
Jacob: "You're not very good at playing hard to get."
Macey gives Brent an incredulous look, "Can you even play hard to get? Is that an actual thing you can do?"
Isaiah laughs. "Sure, but I don't want to expedite the process."
Parker "Ugh," he tilts his head back before splashing them both back.
Brent shakes his head, taking another sip. "I feel so special, you guys."
Kennedy "Well you're already wet, so does it really count?" she replied, splashing him again.
.L "We're not expediting anything! We're just making it tastier."
Rosie surfaces again because she needs air to survive. "Where's our girlfriend?" she asks L.
Macey takes another sip and shrugs, "It's a genuine question. I'd love to see that one day."
Ben "Nice to meet you, too," he says, managing to sound genuine. He then pulls out his phone and texts Danny.
.L shrugs. "Putting something funky on and picking out some music?"
Parker "I barely wet you and now you guys are teaming up!"
Kennedy "Yeah but I'm in actual clothes," she replied. "Plus it's fun to team up against you."
Brent "So Jacob, tell me about how you're going to behave yourself when we're away."
Ellie bites her lip a little. "So did you here with anyone, Alec?"
Jacob stares. "I won't be here."
Rosie grins. "True."
Brent "I didn't say you would be."
Jacob "Honestly? I'm not going to behave. I'm going to crash that wedding and get drunk with the girls."
Alec "Nah." They smile more at her. "I was on a walk! Then I came here."
Macey "Please do, my sisters would love you. And I told them that. But noooo."
Parker scoffs and moves so he's fully in the water.
Isaiah "Wait, are you all a thing? I need to be protective older sibling if L's taken."
Kennedy "Oh please, Parker, please don't tell me you going to leave and pout now because Mal and I teamed up against you," she says with raised eyebrows, now letting her feet dangle into the water.
.L laughs. "I'm older than you. I think, right?"
Parker shakes his head. "Just makin' it less fun for ya."
Rosie snickers at L. "I'm younger than both of you."
Ellie nodded slightly, trying to make sense of why someone would just go on a walk alone.
Macey finishes her drink and looks at Brent, "Where did you even get this? Is there more?"
Isaiah "Fine, I'll be the protective younger sibling. I'm gonna have to have a talk with your girlfriends, L."
Rosie grins at Isaiah. "I'm right here. Hit me with your best shot."
.L smiles at Rosie before laughing at Isaiah again. "Please do, they're the best."
Jacob glancing over at Macey. "Are there going to be any hot guys coming to the wedding? I've never been with a Canadian before."
Macey genuinely thinks. "Uhhhh....potentially? I think? I think my sisters' girlfriend has a brother? Or maybe I have some cousins I've met only once that are coming? I honestly don't know."
Kennedy "You're lame."
Isaiah laughs and leans closer to Rosie. "Do you promise not to be a total jerk? And pamper her? And tell her she's cute whenever you see her?"
Rosie wraps her arms around L. "Of course."
Jacob nods. "Can I just run through your whole family extended family?"
Macey waves her hand, "Go for it."
Isaiah nods. "One girlfriend down."
Malia "Parker has a tendency to be lame, doesn't he?"
Rosie "I can pass on the message."
Kennedy "Yeah, since we were young, it's been the case hasn't it? Are we sure he's an Aphrodite child?" she joked.
.L laughs more and shakes her head. "I doubt that was necessary."
Jacob "Great. Who knows! One of your cousins might fall in love with me and then we'd be related in a roundabout way and I'd also be fucking your cousin."
Parker rolls his eyes. "You're the ones refusing to get in the water at a hot tub."
Rosie grins at L. "But it was fun. I had a good time." She looks at Isaiah. "Did you have a good time? I feel like we're all closer now."
Isaiah "Oh yeah. Much closer."
Kennedy "I'm in the water," she said pointing to the feet.
Macey stands up and grabs her cup, "But for real, where'd you get this? I'll also get an actual drink for Jacob this time."
.L smiles widely. "We're all attached at the hip." She looks at Rosie. "And the shoulders."
Jacob glances over. "Your ass looks so good right now? Like a peach? Oh my God."
Brent "My cabin. And I agree with Jacob."
Parker clicks his tongue. "You didn't even wear a bathing suit."
Kennedy shrugged. "I don't own any."
Macey beams and looks down at her bikini, "Really?! Thanks, guys! Squats are truly a Gift." She hops out of the tub and struts away.
Jacob looked over at Brent for a few seconds then back to Macey's ass. "Brent, I have a question for you."
Brent "Should I be nervous?"
Jacob watches Macey leave and then leans over to Brent. "Do you eat ass?"
Cyrus strolls up to the hot tubs in his bathing suit and a black sleeveless t-shirt with some scream-o band on it. He has a spliff behind his ear and walks up to a tub with Macey and Jacob in it and immediately turns on the bubbles on full-blast; hoping to surprise them.
Rosie doesn't let go of L. "Always."
Caspar shows up with comfy clothes on and a blanket wrapped around him. He spots Ellie and Alec and company and bumbles on over. "Hey guys. Don't get me wet, okay?" He pointed out. "This is my favorite blanket."
Brent stays stoic as he answers. "I'm going to let you imagine whatever makes you happy, Jacob."
Alec grins at Caspar. "The friendly ghost! I won't splash you."
.L wraps an arm around Rosie's waist and nods.
Jacob stares at Brent for a few seconds. "So yes? You eat the ass every day? You are thinking about eating the ass? You can't go a single moment without eating the ass." He whistles. "That's deep."
Cyrus totally heard Jacob's question and looked at Brent with intent, wanting him to answer. He frowns at Brent's answer. "Imagination is overrated, Brent.
Jacob was so caught up in finding out if his mentor and friend ate ass, that he didn't register the bubbles in the pool until a few seconds later. "I didn't know this thing had bubbles."
Ellie "You do realize that you're at a hot tub right, Caspar?"
Caspar smiles at Alec and then looks over at Ellie and tries to ignore Ben but eventually offers him a weak smile too. "Yeah, but I didn't want to get inside the hot tub. I just want to hang out with everybody. But still remain comfortable, you know?"
Alec "Sure makes some sense. No bathing suit, eh?"
Ben smiles awkwardly at Caspar.
Caspar shakes his head. "Nope. Not today. Not to say that I don't own swimsuits because I do. I own, like, a lot of them. I'm aussie, it's in my blood," He smiled in explanation
Cyrus "They all have bubbles," He explained and then squinted his eyes at Jacob. "So, why the fascination with Brent eating ass? Are you jealous?"
Alec "Swimsuits are in your blood?"
Brent "You know he's asking about me with your sister, right?"
Cyrus "Brent," He says and almost sighs and looks at the son of Ares. "You can eat a guy's ass too. It is possible. I promise."
Ellie looked to Ben for a moment, offering him a smile for a moment before looking at Caspar and Alec talk.
Brent "Oh, I know."
Caine M. enters with Fizz by his side. "Hot tubs are kind of overrated," He thinks out loud. "Because if you go to a pool, you can play pool games. But, you can't really play any cool games in a hot tub, right? It's not fair."
Cyrus cracks a grin and raises his hand to give Brent a high five.
Macey comes back with a drink for her and hands another one to Jacob, hopping into the conversation, "What do you know?"
Jacob blinks once. Squinting as he takes the drink from Macey's hand and stares at Brent.
Caspar "Well, swimming is in my blood. And the beach. At least, I feel like they are. And swimsuits just come with the territory, I guess. Unless you're talking skinny-dipping, but I've actually never been." He confessed.
Brent feels Jacob's stare. "What?"
Caspar "I probably should be a Poseidon kid, but I sleep too much."
Jacob opens his mouth. Closes it. Looks at Macey and then back to Brent. "How do you know about eating a man's ass?"
Fizz "Hey, hey, don't dish on hot tubs," she replied. "We can make up games in hot tubs. I can gamble in hot tubs, that's a fun game," she replied. "Pools are cool too, you're a Poseidon kid, you're like immune to anything that comes at you bad with water."
Alec "No way! You've never been skinny dipping? You look like you would have. No offence, it's just, like." They gesture at him. "You."
Brent chuckles. "Oh, do you not know? I used to have sex with Felix on the regular."
Jacob "Who?"
Macey gets back into the hot tub, "Oh my god did no one say that? Has this not been mentioned before?"
Cyrus looks at Macey and then back at Brent. He put his hand down because his high-five was rejected :-(
Brent totally high fived Cyrus on time i promise
Macey "I shipped the hell out of that." She takes a sip of her drink, clearly salty, "Until he decided to turn on camp and start a war. Good times."
Cyrus "Oh, that Felix," He nodded.
Cyrus "I didn't know Brent had a thing for the dark-side. Macey, you better step up your game."
Macey "Um, excuse you," She puts a hand over her heart, looking at Cyrus, fake taken aback, "Who says my game isn't already stepped up?"
Jacob sits in silence taking sips of his drink trying to understand the current world around him.
Caine M. "I mean, I guess we could always play games like Truth of Dare or what not," He agreed with Fizz. "But, you know I'm not good at gambling like you are. I always lose... Unless it's a swimming race." He joked.
Brent "Yeah, he liked to teleport me to different places around camp and we would... You know what, we can talk about something else." He kisses Macey on the cheek. "I much prefer your game over his."
Cyrus looks at Macey for a moment and wants to say something but doesn't and instead lets Brent talk and he sticks his hand in the bubbly water and sighs.
Caspar "Oh my gosh, no offense taken," He chuckled. "It's not that I wouldn't. I think I would under the right circumstance, but until then I'll never know what it's like... Why?" He asked. "Have you even been?"
Alec "Your aesthetic just makes it seem like there should be a grainy polaroid picture of you somewhere where you're standing knee deep in the ocean completely naked while looking at the moon?" they say, and shrug. "Oh, yeah, like, once."
Macey "Good answer." She jokingly pats Brent on the head, "Sorry I can't teleport or whatever."
Fizz "I'm only really good at games of chance," she replied. "But Alec, I bet they'd be great at it, they got a talent for luck, I can tell. Either it's a power or Mom just likes them more."
Ellie puts her head in her hands. "I cannot believe I'm hearing this conversation about skinny dipping between the two of you," she replied.
Maverick is a fuckin' ninja and suddenly pops up in the general vicinity of Mal, leaning over hot tub and interjecting, "Ya know, of all people... I don't think it's necessary for you to be getting even hotter."
Parker looks over in confused disapproval.
Malia jumps in surprise when Mav is suddenly talking in her ear. She composes herself and grins at him. "Well, you better catch up, then."
Kieran has been chilling on the deck the whole time.
Caspar laughs lightly as he imagines Alec's picture idea. "I kind of want to do this now," He confesses. Then, looks at Ellie and smiles. "But you can't be there and you'll never see the picture, alright?"
Alec laughs at Ellie. "Sorry!"
Danny arrives at the hot tubs, phone in hand. He waves in the general direction of the other campers.
Brent "We're not missing anything," he says, draping an arm around her.
Ellie "I don't want to be there," she replied. "Please never let that picture fall into my hands."
Maverick smirks just a little more, "Excuse you. This water may as well be luke warm compared to me." He jokes, glancing toward Parker with a nod and the disapproving look not even registering. Stepping back just enough to hop over into the tub, he land in an empty enough space with a satisfying splash.
Malia "Ugh, you're lucky Parker got my hair wet already, or I'd be really mad at you."
Macey "It probably wasn't very comfortable." She muses, resting her mouth on the edge of her cup.
Ben sees Danny and waves.
Parker frowns.
Maverick smiles a little at her remark, "Well, there's always other ways to get you wet, since that option's gone." He winked, before sending a slight splash her way, as always his filter simply didn't exist.
Danny approaches Ben. "Hey, Ben."
Ben moves away from the other group a bit. "You're saving me."
Brent "It wasn't." He leans in so only Macey can hear. "And you're the best I've ever had, no question about it."
Ellie looks up from her hands when Danny speaks and Ben moves, she feels somewhat guilty about the situation. She looks the boys for a moment before looking back to Caspar and Alec.
Malia 's face gets a little redder as her smile widens. She lifts her arms to protect herself from the splash. "I'd like to see you try, Maverick Lane."
Maverick relenting in his splashing, he quickly retorted, "Try? There's no trying. If I did anything there just be 'do'... alot of doing." He winked playfully, "But, you know that from experience." Settling himself back just slightly, not needing anymore temptation by drifting close, he shifted his gaze around and then back to the beautiful Aprhrodite girl, "So, how you holdin' up?
Macey puts a hand over her heart, trying her best at a Southern accent—which is loud and awful, "Awww, shucks, lil' ol' me? I'm honored." She drops her head onto his shoulder and chuckles, finally matching his quieter tone, "You knew I was sitting here thinking about how I can't teleport, huh?"
Malia raises an eyebrow. "Since yesterday? Not much has changed." She leans back against the edge of the hot tub, pretending to take interest in her nails. "How are you holding up?"
Brent laughs. "Maybe a little. But I mean it."
Macey smiles, "Thanks. Ditto, I guess, if we're having honesty hour right now." She pauses, brow furrowing, "Fuck. 'Ditto' is like, the least romantic, cute thing I could ever say."
Maverick offers a shrug, "A lot can change in a handful of few hours. I already nearly died twice. Not counting the loofah incident last night while I was tipsy." He laughed just slightly as he rambled, eyes lingering on Malia.

date: 5/30/17 characters: Macey & Brent description: After a fairly easygoing and fun week in Canada at her sister’s wedding, Macey attempts to have a talk with her Mom about their rocky relationship. The side effects then carry over to her conversation with Brent, leading to a fight.
Brent looks up from his phone when Macey walks into her room, and sits up on the bed. "How'd it go?"
Macey "Awful." She sits down next to him, "As I expected it would."
Brent frowns. "I'm sorry. What happened?"
Macey "Well, first of all, she thought you were the only reason anything changed with me, which is bullshit. And then she apparently 'didn't even realize' that she treats me different than everyone else, which is also bullshit. How do you do something like that at say it wasn't intentional."
Brent puts an arm around her, trying to be as comforting as he can. "Did you tell her that?"
Macey "Yeah..." She settles into their position on the bed and shrugs, "It may not have come out as easily and nicely as that, but I did. I mean, it's whatever."
Brent pauses, his frown deepening a bit. "Does that mean you two left it on a bad note?"
Macey doesn't have to look to know he's frowning. "I mean, she knows now, so that's not a bad thing?" She avoids his face and stares at her legs instead, "But like, did it end in hugs and tears and not me walking away in frustration...eh."
Brent "Are you going to try talking to her again tomorrow?"
Macey provides an unsure shrug, not giving an answer and still not looking at him.
Brent takes a deep breath and kisses her lightly on her temple. "I think you should, before we leave."
Macey "It's not gonna do anything." She grumbles, "What would I even say? 'Hey, by the way, still didn't get my point across, I gotta emotionally express my feelings some more'! Like, why does it even matter, why even bother?"
Brent shrugs. "It might be really good. I think she really wants things to get better between you two."
Macey "I think she's kinda 21 years too late."
Brent is quiet for a bit, then drops his arm and stands. He walks away from the bed a few steps, his hands in his pockets and eyes on the floor.
Macey sighs and pulls her knees to her chest, "Sorry," She presses her face against her legs, "That was kinda a shitty thing to say."
Brent "No, it's just..." He trails off, trying to sort his thoughts, back still to her. "It's just, your mom is here, you know? Even when you're not in Canada, she's a phone call away and..." He stops himself again, and sighs. "I don't know. I know you're mom isn't perfect but... you have a mom. And I don't think it's too late to fix anything with her."
Macey finally looks up. She knows it's not personal or intentional, but she still feels a little hurt. "Yeah, well, I don't call her. And maybe if she actually put in some effort instead of giving me zero credit I'd actually want to fix it." She frowns, "You can't pull that guilt card on me, that's not fair."
Brent turns back around to face her fully. "I'm not using a guilt card on you."
Macey feels bad that her anger from her mom is carrying over to her boyfriend, but she can't help herself. "You can't just say 'but you have a mom' and not expect me to feel like I'm being an ungrateful asshole."
Brent 's expression grows weary. "I'm not trying to make you feel like an asshole, Macey." He sighs. "But honestly, I do feel like you take for granted that you have this big family that cares a lot about you."
Macey folds her arms, defensive, "Um, that's kind of a fucking big assumption to make, but okay."
Brent runs a hand down his face. "Fine. I don't want to fight with you about this."
Macey knows she shouldn't say it. But it's like her brain is an engine overheating and it can't stop or cool down. She raises her eyebrows, unable to stop the sass from coming out on top of her frustration, "Oh, no, no. It's too late for that now. If you've got something to say, please, go ahead."
Brent tries to reign in his temper as much as he can, knowing two angry people in the same room would accomplish nothing. "I would appreciate it if you didn't call me talking about my mother a guilt card just because you don't want to actually put in the effort to have a decent relationship with yours. She fucked up, but if she wants to actually do better, why won't you let her?"
Macey "Because she doesn't. She doesn't think she did anything wrong, she just thinks I'm a fucking acceptable human being now. Like, I'm sorry I can't drop everything and forgive 20 years of emotional abuse because she gives me a hug and actually pays attention for once."
Brent is taken aback at that. "I didn't know it was that bad."
Macey is suddenly uncomfortable with the direction of this conversation and stands up so she doesn't have to sit still. She walks over to one of her shelves overflowing with dance trophies and adjusts one, not looking at him. "I didn't think it was a necessary detail."
Brent stays where he's standing, crossing his arms. "It..." He takes a deep breath. "I know it's hard to talk about. I wouldn't have asked you to try facing her so much if I had known. I'm sorry."
Macey is baffled. "How can you do that?" She turns around to look at him, "You were getting so mad at me, and then you just—" Her hand makes a vague motion, "—and it's gone. Like, I'm still mad."
Brent 's stoic expression falls away and now he looks annoyed. "It's not gone, I'm just not letting it get the better of me. And I can still be sorry for misunderst— Nevermind. You really just wanna be mad right now and I'm standing here, so go for it."
Macey frowns. This is what she wanted, but at the same time it makes her feel worse. "Don't. Don't take the whole high and mighty road right now and make me feel like a stupid little kid. You're not being all mature and smart by 'not letting things get to you', you're just burying them, Brent."
Brent scoffs, shaking his head. "What, so I'm showing off? You really think I'm belittling you by trying to stay level-headed? This is just who I am, Macey. I'm not burying my feelings every time I focus on you and try to help you."
Macey. isn't loud, but her voice is definitely a level above normal speaking. "I never said you were showing off? I just--it doesn't--" Her words trail off in a frustrated groan. "I'm just so mad , and seeing you be all fucking nice and supportive just..." She didn't realize her hands were balled into fists until they started to ache. She slowly let them go, "I'm used to people getting angry back. So I just feel like a piece of shit little kid throwing a tantrum."
Brent. "You're not. You're not, Mace. You're allowed to be mad." He walks over to her and puts his hands on her shoulders. "This is not a small thing, and I'm sorry if I tried to make you feel like it was."
Macey is tempted to shake his hands off and stay angry. It'd be easier. But she sighs and lets her forehead drop to rest against his chest. She stays like this for a few moments, eyes closed and taking in a few deep breaths before speaking again. "I was about ready to walk out of here and go fight a tree."
Brent smiles a bit. "Trust me, that doesn't make you feel any better. You just end up hurting your hand."
Macey "Why am I not surprised that you've fought a tree before." She wraps her arms around him in a hug and looks up, eyes sad, "I'm sorry."
Brent "It's okay, you don't have to apologize." He puts a hand against her back and places the other on the side of her face, thumb rubbing along her cheekbone. "And for the record, I didn't fight the tree, just punched it, and it was a big mistake."
Macey "I do, though." She leans her face against his hand, "I...I don't want you to think you can't like, talk about your mom or anything. It was real shitty of me to say you were using that against me."
Brent "Thank you," he hums, leaning in and kissing her on the forehead.
Macey sighs again. "I probably should talk to my mom again tomorrow."
Brent "If you think you're up for it."
Macey looks torn, thinking between her options, face still covered with a bit of leftover hurt. "I don't know. But we're only here for a couple more days so like, I don't have much of a choice." She sighs and pulls herself from the hug, taking his hand instead, "Can we just, like not be in here right now? I don't know, go for a walk or something? I can't even think straight."
Brent nods. "Yeah, of course we can. Whatever you need."

a not-so peaceful campfire
CHARACTERS: many people DATE: 12/29/16 DESCRIPTION: when a spell from victoria goes awry, a simple game of truth or drink turns into a festival of confessions and drama.
Kwame is standing at the communal bonfire, trying to read a book in the dying light. When he gives up and looks at the darkening sky, he sighs. "If I miss anything it's the eyesight," he whispers to no one in particular.
Rosie is sitting cross-legged unreasonably close to the bonfire. She has a stick in one hand and holds it in the fire until the end catches, then blows it out, then repeats.
Kwame squints at Rosie, then moves closer a bit slowly so as not to frighten her. "Are you cooking something?"
Jesse walks over to the bonfire with Ellie, his hands in his pockets, and looks around for somewhere to sit down. "Sorry, what were you saying? I missed the last part."
Rosie looks over her shoulder when she's spoken to, then grins and turns around. "Nope! Just bored, and fire's pretty cool."
Elliot "I was saying, that I'm not too sure about this bonfire, usually something goes wrong when we're all together," she said.
Laurel strolls on over to the bonfire and debates on if she wants to join the small gathering group. She decides and walks over. "Is this seat taken?" She asks, as she sits down next to Kwame.
Kwame snorts. "That it is." They take a seat next to Rosie. "I don't believe we've met yet. My name is Kwame."
Jesse nods slowly. "Yeah, I guess. Hopefully tonight will be different." He looks around to see who else is there.
Victoria was sitting, reading one of the spells from her mom's book that'll make people just act weird. She had somewhat preformed it before but not at such a large scale. She leaned toward Cyrus, "I'm gonna do it."
Rosie swaps the stick to her other hand so she can hold one hand out. "Rosie!" she chirps. "Cabin eleven." When Laurel sits next to Kwame, she leans to the side to see her too.
Cyrus is beaming as Victoria looks through her spellbook. His knee bobs up and down but he nods encouragingly. "Yeah, do it," He eggs her on, sitting next to her. "This will be fun."
Kwame smiles. "Rosie, I like that name." They turn to Laurel. "It's good to meet you as well."
Blue shows up with a bottle of gin and a bag of marshmallows. She sits next to Rosie. "Sup." She opens the bag, picks up a marshmallow, and sticks her hand in the fire to roast it. "We should play a game or something with so many people here."
Victoria concentrates on the spell, but her mind bopping to other things like different drinking games at the parties and when she mumbles the spell, she felt something happen but when she looked up no one was acting strange. She looked toward Cyrus, "I don't think it worked.
Macey makes her way over to the campfire, seeing that there were a lot of people there tonight.
Laurel looks over at Kwame when he says it's nice to meet them and she smiles politely and nods. "You as well," She comments back and fixes some of her hair.
Rosie grins at Kwame and gives them a mini salute before turning to Blue. She gasps when she sees the marshmallows. "Holy shit girl, you're a lifesaver." She takes two without asking, but pulls out a bottle from one of her large pockets and places it in between them with a grin. "Yeah, totally. Something that'll make this night exciting."
Elliot "Same," she replied. "Where's Mal, is she coming?"
Laurel notices Blue shove her hand in the fire and at first her eyes go wide and she's almost startled but she continues to observe from her spot. "Whoa." She says quietly and looks at Blue's face and then hand once again.
Malia joined the chat 12 minutes ago
Kwame is also surprised at Blue but I'm not gonna be #awk and interact with my own charrie
Rae walks to the campfire with Nadia, chatting together bc fuck it
Cyrus is ready for the spell to work and holds his breath while Vic is working her literal magic to give her quiet and then frowns when she says it didn't work. "Are you sure?" He looks around the group of demigods. "Nobody looks like they're any weirder than normal."
Malia "She is coming," Malia says with a grin, sliding up next to Jesse. "Hi."
Jesse smiles when Malia shows up and wraps an arm around her waist. "Hey."
Victoria "I did the right spell," she said. "Maybe I messed it up and it just didn't work."
Blue "You got it, dude," she says, popping the marshmallow in her mouth and standing. "Everyone! I'm bored so let's play a game. Oldie but a goodie, truth or dare? Or for those so inclined, truth or drink?"
Rae "Truth or drink!" She shouts over to Blue at the proposition, "Go big or go home."
Cyrus "Hmph," He sighed. "Fine. No weirdness tonight. We'll just suffer," And then he heard Blue and his eyes lit up. "Let's play?" He offered to Vic.
Nadia looks very uncomfortable at the idea of truth or drink but says nothing
Laurel also lowkey looks uncomfortable but she's getting there.
Fizz "I'm ready to get drunk, count me in," she said, just walking in as she hears the conversation.
Macey slides over to Rosie and bumps her shoulder with her own, "Hey hey."
Victoria "Um, duh," she replied, nudging Cyrus, sitting in the circle.
Blue grins. "Sweet. What're y'all drinking? Cause I'm not sharing."
Rosie beams at Macey and picks up her bottle as she stands. "Yo!"
Fizz pulls out a bottle from her bag, "Please someone slap me if I'm never this prepared for one of these get togethers."
Rae "I am nice enough to share, I'll be right back, I have some stuff in my room." She leaves Nadia and turns back around to the cabins.
Alec appears right after Fizz, smiling at everyone.
Cyrus is relieved that Rae volunteered to share some of her stash because he's running low and needs to make another run into the city.
Cyrus sits in the circle too???
Ben "I also have stuff." Ben says, then recoils at his own words, wondering why he said that. "Uh, I'll go get some for people."
Nadia spots Laurel and feels a bit better. She quickly walks over and sits down next to her, "Do you like any of these games? I'm a little worried."
Ben has been here ok i'm doin a lot
Avery is glad Rae is willing to share because she has no way of getting alcohol other than from someone else.
Victoria "Shit, I gotta grab a bottle from my cabin," she said before getting up and running to the hecate cabin to grab her alcohol.
Malia looks to Jesse. "You staying sober tonight?"
Alec "I have vegan wine," they say to anyone who cares.
Brent "Seriously?"
Jesse shrugs one shoulder. "Was planning on it, but I'll still play if you want to."
Macey claps at Alec's words. "Yay! That means you can play too!" She pokes Brent in the side.
Victoria comes back o yeah.
Kwame sighs and sits back. They look to Laurel. "Do you often play games like this here?"
Laurel notices Nadia as she takes a seat and offers her a small smile in greeting. "I don't drink too much," She answers. "So, I'm a little worried too, but it should be fun, right? I'll get to know everyone better and that's always nice."
Alec grins at Brent and holds a bottle up triumphantly. "Yeah! Want some? I can share."
Brent nods. "Thank you."
Laurel shakes her head and looks over at Kwame now. "Not really. But, everyone else does, I suppose."
Malia shrugs. "We'll take sips. Or just be really honest."
Nadia nods, letting out a sigh. "Yeah, I just hope this one doesn't get crazy."
Rae returns with a bag full of stuff and lays everything out in the middle of the group, "Okay, I have vodka and I have beer, and I have cups for people too. Take your pick.".
Fizz "Look at you meeting a vegan friend," Felicity said nudging her half-sibling.
Macey looks at Rosie and grins, "I'm sharing with you, okay, thank you."
Avery takes some vodka and takes a seat next to Rae.
Cyrus takes some Vodka too.
Rae pats the spot next to her as Avery sits down and gets herself a beer.
Ellie "Well maybe since there's this it won't be too bad," she says to Jesse.
Victoria "Man, I wish that spell would've worked," she told Cyrus, already taking a sip of her wine.
Cyrus frowns again. "Me too. I was ready to get weird."
Alec beams at Fizz. "Yeah! It's so hard to find vegan alcohol because most of the time it doesn't list animal ingredients on the bottle. So you gotta look real hard!"
Jesse nods and smiles at both of them. "Let's sit down?"
Rosie laughs. "Okie dokes, sis. It's just rum."
Ben returns and puts down many (many) bottles of partially drunk alcohol. "Uh, help yourselves," he said to the general public, taking a seat and holding an unopened bottle of whiskey in his hands.
Blue takes a few gulps of gin. "Okay, who's starting this? Everyone either sit or stop moving."
Mikey awkwardly picks out alcohol, hoping that nobody realizes that he knows which ones taste the best. He pours a drink and then sits in his spot.
Cyrus "I'll go first!" He shouts, answering Blue quickly. "Who wants to ask me a question?" He looks around the group eagerly.
Keaton "Um, what is the hardest thing you've ever had to do?"
Cyrus "Ooh, uh, well, I was in a polyamorous relationship with two people when I was back in California and I ended it with both of them before coming to camp. It was surprisingly harder than it seems. Not because of the people I was with, but I'm just fucked up," He shrugged, telling the truth and not thinking twice about it. "So, that was pretty hard."
Blue points to Cyrus. "Yo, I know what that's like."
Victoria was a bit surprised that Cyrus said that, she never really had conversations about relationships with him, she was surprised he didn't drink on it but doesn't think too much of it.
Cyrus lifts his cup up to Blue and nods at her with a smile as if to say 'we're twinning' and then he takes a drink from his cup anyways, even though he told the truth.
Rosie whistles. "That sucks."
Cyrus thinks of a question for Vic and looks over at her slyly. "What's one of your biggest fears?"
Victoria didn't care much for this question, so it didn't phase her when she told the truth. "I fucking scared of spiders, they creep me out man, with their eight legs and just, ew, nope, nopity nope nope."
Laurel nods approvingly of Victoria's fear. "That's justified. Spiders are terrible." She comments.
Nadia "Agreed."
Rosie "My third grade teacher got bit by a spider and died."
Macey looks confused, "Are there poisonous spiders in LA?"
Rosie laughs. "She was on vacation. But I wouldn't be surprised if there were."
Blue "Gross."
Victoria "See, exhibit a," she said pointing to Rosie, "why spiders are the worst and should not be a thing." Victoria then turned quickly, facing Malia. "So, Malia, what do you do in your free time?"
Malia "I mean, it depends. Watch TV, hang out with Jesse, shop online, and sometimes I'll do drugs but that's usually only when I'm planning to go out."
Rae blinks a few times, making sure she heard the last bit correctly.
Ellie widens her eyes a bit at the last part, unsure whether she heard Malia right.
Jesse covers his mouth. "Oh dear."
Mikey is surprised that she offered that up so willingly, but doesn't say anything and instead takes a small sip of his drink instead.
Cyrus nods, approvingly and knowingly.
Chase pulls up and sits down next to Jesse. "Hey, what'd I miss?"
Jesse blinks and looks over at Chase, still a little off kilter. "Uh. A game. Truth or drink."
L shows up and sits down between Laurel and Blue B))
Victoria covers her mouth a little at Malia's statement, really surprised she said the last part out loud and didn't drink instead, she looked to Cyrus and leaned in, whispering to him, "Uh, was that like a known thing?"
Malia looks incredibly confused and takes a drink despite also telling the truth. "Uh, Jesse, what's your favorite childhood memory."
Parker shows up and takes a seat and a cup.
Cyrus "I'm not sure," He responded, thinking for a moment. "I mean, I knew it, but that's only because we do them together pretty frequently."
Jesse clears his throat. "Um, probably seeing the sunsets in Greece or, uh, sailing and seeing the mermaids. In San Francisco."
Chase nods. "Cool."
Victoria "Something's weird about this game," she whispered back to him, "Maybe I just don't know people as well though."
Chase said this before jesse responded but i am late
Macey leans back wistfully, "Ugh, that sounds so beautiful."
Ben looks to Parker because that's better than side-eyeing the Rebecca look-alike sitting next to him. "Hey."
Rae drinks some of her beer despite it being nowhere near her turn.
Cyrus is already invested in this game and shrugs and takes another sip of his drink even though he's suppose to save it for the game. "Maybe. But, I don't think it's been too weird. Are you sure you're not just tripping?" He questions, raising his brows.
Parker nods at Ben. "'Sup?"
Victoria "I'm not even just a little drunk yet," she responds, "nor did I do anything before. Maybe I should've. Maybe it's just me." She awkwardly takes a big gulp of her drink.
Jesse smiles at Macey. "It was." He looks over at Chase. "What's the last thing you lied about?"
Chase goes to drink but then blurts out, "I was the one who used all the shampoo without replacing it but I let everyone believe it was Caspar."
Ellie gasped.
Malia laughs. "Ha! I knew it."
Jesse "I knew it!" he says at the same time as Mal.
Chase laughs and shakes his head at Malia. "How would you know!?"
Malia shrugs, taking another drink.
Victoria looks curiously at Chase and then to Cyrus and then to her cup, wondering if this had something to do with the spell or not
Alec is having a blast learning about all these people they don't know.
Chase shakes his head and turns to Ellie. "Okay. If you had to change lives with someone, who would it be?" He takes a sip of his drink.
Ellie goes to take a drink but then blurts out, "My brother."
Rosie leans forward. "Which one?"
Ellie widens her eyes, confused on why she just said that. "Um, my twin brother."
Nadia furrows her eyebrows, starting to catch onto something fishy.
Rosie doesn't know he's dead so isn't interested enough to pursue it. "Huh."
Chase tilts his head to the side. "You have a twin brother?"
Ellie looked down at her cup. "Had," she said quietly, not really able to stop herself
Ellie takes a big drink out of her drink.
Kwame raises their eyebrows.
Chase inhales slowly and looks to Jesse because he doesn't know what to do. "Oh."
Macey bites her lip.
Jesse frowns and leans over to put a hand on Ellie's arm.
Malia reaches around Jesse and squeezes Ellie's hand. "Let's make a dead brothers club," she says quietly. "Or you can just talk to me about it, if you want."
Mikey frowns and takes a gulp of his drink.
Ellie looked to Kwame. "Uh, so what's your favorite color?" she asked quickly not thinking about a question to much, trying to get the attention off of her.
Chase moves closer to Ellie and bumps her knee to his. "Same here. Or not, if you don't want."
Laurel looks at Kwame when he's asked a question.
Victoria leaned toward Cyrus again. "Oh I really think something is up, and I think it may have been my fault," she whispered.
Jesse looks to Kwame as well.
Alec also has a dead sibling but was reading the label bottle on the wine and therefore not listening.
Macey leans over to Rosie, "Damn, everyone's being brave tonight." She says quietly.
Cyrus pays attention to Victoria bc that question is boring and quirks a brow. "Your fault? With the spell that you did? Do you think you actually cast something else, maybe?" He asks.
Rosie tilts her head. "Yeah, it's kinda fucked up."
Kwame "Gray," they say, "the shade of... Hm, the blue-ish gray of a snow-wolf."
Victoria "I don't know," she replied, panicked, "It could be very possible though. I mean you know how bad I am with spells, especially big ones."
Macey grabs the rum and takes a sip to make sure it's no the alcohol. She drinks it just fine. "Okay."
Cyrus "You are pretty shit," He comments, truthfully. "Was the 'make everyone weird spell' a big one?"
Rosie leans over to Macey when she grabs the rum. "This is weird."
Kwame: anyway kwame will just be over here peacefully talking about nature and shit so he'll always be a break from the storm
Alec starts listening in time for Kwame's answer. "Edgy," they whisper.
L: the loml
Victoria "Usually no," she answered, "but it was also meant for more people rather than one and it's more complicated than little ones but like not as complicated as others, and it wasn't latin and usually those are the hardest."
L nods because that is a good colour.
Laurel silently approves of Kwame's color.
Avery keeps in mind that cold to possibly make a bracelet one day.
Cyrus "So, what do you think is happening? It actually worked and we're all being weird right now?" He asked, doubtfully.
Macey "Yeah." She nods, "I'm gonna drink no matter what you ask me, just to see. So say whatever you want."
Rosie grins widely. "I will."
Kwame looks to Laurel. "What would be the hardest thing for you to give up?"
Victoria shrugged. "I don't know, I mean I may have been thinking of drinking game and stuff as I preforming it so it could've tied in with the subject of the game. I mean maybe it's making everyone impulsive, or more impulsive than normal. What's weird about this?"
Jesse focuses on Laurel now and furrows his eyebrows, trying to figure something out.
Laurel "My little habits," She responded, after not much thought and then she paused. "I mean, I don't know why I said that..." She looked confused and then shook her head and chuckled lightly trying to play it off.
Laurel "I meant to say, I'd have a hard time giving up books." She corrected herself.
Kwame studies her curiously then nods.
Rosie "Boring," Rosie mutters.
Macey "Everyone's being weird." She looks over at Brent, "It's not just me, right?"
Cyrus "Nobody is drinking," He claims to Vic. "I mean, we're drinking but we're not drinking for the game. It's like everyone is choosing to answer the question."
Rosie leans over to Blue now. "Yo, once this round is done, think it'd be more fun to swap up the order? People are sitting next to their friends and being too nice."
Rae "These questions are killing me," She says to Avery, "Its like they're too easy. No one's drinking."
Victoria "But like, did you want to answer your question or would you rather have drank?" she asked Cyrus.
Blue snorts. "I see your plan, girlie, and yes. Show me no mercy."
Brent "It's not just you," he mumbles, a little confused.
Macey nods in relief.
Avery "It doesn't seem too easy," Avery says. "I mean sure the questions are but like the answers are very honest and like something you wouldn't normally say outloud to a group."
Keaton oh yeah he exists #oops
Rae tilts her head to the side, thinking. "Huh, I guess you're right." She purses her lips together, "That's bizarre."
Laurel looks at L and tries not to be embarrassed from what just happened. "Uh, who's the most important person in your life at the moment?"
Avery "This whole game is bizarre."
Rae raises her beer can to her in agreement, "Fair enough."
L tilts her head from side to side. "My mom, I think."
Blue "Awwwwwww, that's cute."
Cyrus shrugged. "I'm pretty honest, I'd say. But, I don't know..." He thought for a moment. "Some things I just don't really talk about and nobody here really needed to know about Skyelar and Kendall, you know? So, I guess, this is weird. You're right."
Laurel smiles because that answer is sweet. "That's nice. Good answer."
Alec grins at L.
Victoria "But like there was Ellie and her brother, Malia and drugs, Laurel not meaning to say what she said, you telling everyone about Skyelar and Kendall, it just doesn't seem normal. What if it's me? What if it's my fault, oh gods."
L laughed and shrugged, looking to Blue. "Um, what's are you proudest of?"
L: wait i changed the question halfway through
L what*
Keaton: omg
Cyrus "Um, dude, calm down, it's going to be fine," He assured his friend. "It's not like anyone's getting hurt. So they're telling the truth for once? That's exciting."
Avery "And, usually someone has had a drink by now."
Jesse is still watching Laurel, confused.
Victoria bit her lip. "Yeah, but it might make people angry at me. Have you seen me fight? I'm not very good, I'm like a deer on ice, I'd get killed."
Blue is planning on making a joke because people seem tense, but she blurts out, "Not totally fucking bailing on this place after the war and like, dealing with my shit. For the most part." She blinks. "What the fuck..." she mumbled.
Laurel notices Jesse and tries not to look at him because has he been looking over this way for long? But the curiosity it too strong and steals glances of him too.
Keaton 's eyes widen at Blue's answer, a bit surprised.
Rosie "What the fuck?" she agrees.
Rae "Well, shit." Rae chuckles.
Chase "(:"
Cyrus "Don't worry, I'll protect you. I've had my fair share of black eyes. And, anyways, if people get mad at you for trying to practice something that you should practice is weak. People need to understand that mistakes happen." He assured her.
Mikey is not surprised.
Jesse flushes when Laurel looks back at him and looks over at Macey instead because Blue and Rosie both scare him.
Victoria "Yeah, and my mother is not exactly the most favorite person in this camp."
Blue shrugs. "Well, now that I got that out of the way... Rosie, who here do you wanna bang the most? Besides me, of course."
Macey rests her chin on her hand, elbow on her knee, looking at Rosie with a grin and waiting for an answer.
Ellie: "mikey"
Rosie taps her chin. "You're the only one here I've thought about, but L is cute as always, so I guess her." She grins.
Mikey: scbhaisgriuEBD
Rosie: FUCK
L: :0
Rosie: I FORGOT HE WAS HERE
Macey: add it on real quick
Macey: C:
L: HAHAHAH NEVER FORGET MIKEY
Rosie "Also Mikey if I had to pick a dude."
Rosie: there we go
L presses her hands to her cheeks.
Blue "Whaaaat? Oh fuck yeah, anytime, boo." She pats L's leg. "You too, cutie pants."
Macey sits up straighter, preparing herself. She grabs the rum.
L laughs and looks down.
Rosie mimes rolling up her sleeves. "Alright, Macey. What's something that pisses you off about each of your siblings?"
Macey: shiiiiiiiit
Mikey freezes when he hears his name. "Oh," He replies, blinking.
Macey: for real now i have to think about this lol oops
L: omggg
Jesse looks around the circle again.
Malia leans on Jesse's shoulder. "I don't know why I said that," she mumbles to him privately.
Jesse wraps his arm around Mal again when she leans against him. "You okay?" he asks quietly.
Laurel has been studying Jesse and has come to some sort of a realization. She leans over to L and asks. "Can I ask you something?"
Macey had begun lifting the bottle to her lips as Rosie spoke, but found the words flying out of her mouth without restraint, "Cyrus leaves the toilet seat up and I'll fall in at like, 3am while I'm half asleep; Miranda's constant teasing sometimes is too much, and you, missy, have legit no impulse control." Her mouth stays open afterwards, not sure what just happened. "What the fuck?! That wasn't—I was gonna drink, I told you that."
Malia sighs. "I dunno, that was really weird."
Brent raises his eyebrows.
Jesse goes to respond, but stops when Macey speaks. He blinks a few times. "I don't think you're the only one with that problem."
Cyrus nudges Victoria and then looks at Macey.
L looks at Laurel and nods. "Um, yeah, okay."
Rosie laughs in delight. "Oh, wow! Something is totally going on here. Quick, was it you that borrowed my red lace shirt then lost it?"
Laurel "Do you know the boy who is sitting next to that really pretty girl?" She asked, talking about Jesse and Malia.
L doesn't think that's a very specific description with everyone here, but looks in the direction that Laurel is. "The two leaning on each other?"
Victoria looked to Cyrus, eyes wide.
Avery covered her mouth, giggling a little.
Macey frowns. "No, that must've been Miranda." She quickly turns to Brent, trying to move on. She shakes her head and blinks, "Okay, um," She thinks her question is easy, "Who in camp have you made out with, like, not just on a dare but willingly."
Laurel nods. "Yeah, isn't his name Christian? I think I know him from somewhere. In fact, I'm almost positive."
Rosie mutters a curse against Miranda under her breath.
Brent "Uh..." his eyes flick to Rosie and then back to Macey. "You, Rae, Felix, and Julian." He presses his lips together, grimacing; he had tried so hard to not say that last name.
L shakes her head. "No, that's Jesse."
Macey stops. She lets out a laugh, "Sorry, I thought you just said Julian."
Rosie squints at Brent.
Avery widens her eyes, covering her mouth once more. "Oh no."
Blue laughs out loud. "He did."
Rae raises her eyebrows, because she knew, "Wait, wait, she doesn't know about Julian?"
Parker presses his lips together as he watches Brent and Macey.
Macey looks over at Rae and then back to Brent, her face blank in disbelief.
Laurel "Are you sure?" She asks and then shakes her head, peeling his gaze from Christian and over at L again. "He's so familiar to me."
L nods. "Unless he changed his name," she jokes.
Brent pinches the bridge of his nose. "Aphrodite, she fucked around with us and made us all fall in love with random people. That's why she knows." He takes a deep breath."And the second time was a really... weird and strange day." He groans, unsure why he can't stop.
Jesse glances over at Laurel again.
Rosie looks offended on her sister's behalf.
Avery "Twice?" she asked, surprised, but it was also a bit quiet.
Malia "Oh, shit..." she mumbles, watching Macey and Brent.
Macey can't help but be offended, even though the more rational part of her knows she shouldn't be. "The second time? When was the second time?" She continues, without thinking.
Rae raises her eyebrows because she didn't know there was a second time.
Cyrus is here for the tea even though he feels bad because he never knew the people who passed away.
Victoria takes a large guilty drink from her cup.
Brent "Before I left for the quest with Wyatt," he blurts, silently cursing himself. "He was trying to convince me to not go and... I don't know why but it happened."
Rosie clenches her jaw and looks over at Blue so she doesn't say something to Brent. "I better think of a good question for you."
Alec pours a cup of vegan wine for themselves, considers it, then pushes it in Brent's direction instead.
Laurel "Yeah, that'd be weird," She comments back to L. "I'm sure he's just got one of those faces. Sorry for bothering you."
Avery "Uh, maybe we should just go on to the next question," she said, so everyone could hear.
Macey feels her entire face fall. "Oh." She blinks and looks back towards the group, clearly not alright. "Sorry, go ask your question."
Blue "Can y'all have couples therapy another time?" She looks over Brent's shoulder to Alec. "You! Since this ho is busy, what's the freakiest thing you've ever watched?"
Macey rolls her eyes at Blue.
L shrugs and shakes her head. "No problem."
Ben is watching everything with a mounting sense of dread.
Nadia feels awful.
Brent gently takes Macey's hand. "Hey, can we talk about this? If not now, later?"
Alec points at themselves, then laughs. "One time this dude at a party was watching something on his phone, I think he was the host's brother or something, but he was connected to the airplay on the TV, so we all saw it. I think it was a dude fucking a bear? It was messed up." They take a drink of their wine from the bottle.
Jesse is unsure of what's going on and looks to L this time because she seems like a safe place to focus.
Cyrus is trying to make eye contact with Macey to see if she's all right but then hears what Alec says and his gaze darts over to them. "What the fuck? Seriously? Didn't he, like, die?"
Laurel looks back at Jesse and then tries to unhear what Alec just said.
Fizz raised her eyebrows at Alec, a little weirded out by his answer.
Macey purses her lips together and nods, "Later." She pulls her hand out of his to grab her phone out of her pocket.
Alec puts the bottle down. "Right? That's what I thought. Maybe it was a fake bear? Or a bear in a human suit. I mean, human in a bear suit." They shrug. "I didn't witness him getting killed but I wish I didn't witness any of it."
L blinks at Alec.
Kwame laughs.
Jesse looks to Laurel again and raises his eyebrows at her when he notices her looking back.
Rosie nudges Macey and holds out the bottle of rum.
Ellie looks to Jesse, raising her eyebrows a bit on why he's staring across the circle.
Cyrus laughs loudly. "Oh my gods, you're my new favorite," He claims. "That's too funny."
Malia is catching on to all the looking but doesn't comment just yet.
Victoria puts her head in her hands. "Oh my gods, Cyrus."
Chase looks between Laurel and Jesse and then at Malia.
Macey opens up Twitter with one hand, scrolling through her timeline with fake intent, and grabs the bottle from Rosie with the other, taking a large swig.
Alec looks pleased. "Fizz! Why do you leave explosives lying everywhere if you don't want me to touch them? It's so hard not to."
Fizz rolled her eyes. "I don't leave them around they're literally on the table or on my desk. You shouldn't be touching my things anyway," she blurted out.
Laurel raises her eyebrows right back at him. She contemplates asking him a question but then decides not to just yet. She looks at Malia and then Chase and then L and then back to Jesse.
L looks at Laurel when Laurel looks at her and then across the circle at the entire Morpheus cabin.
Fizz realized how harsh it was and took a large drink of alcohol.
Jesse comes to a sudden realization and his eyes widen. He looks away from her quickly, staring at the fire.
Ben has opened the bottle of whiskey, drinks.
Rosie frowns at Macey, then frowns more at Brent.
Fizz then turns quickly toward Ben. "Ben, what's the worst thing you've ever done?"
Alec just laughs. "Yeah, yeah. But they're so interesting."
Ben tries to bring the bottle to his lips before he can speak but he's too slow. "I killed someone," he says, practically choking on his words. He puts his hand over his mouth and looks down. But then he puts it down and speaks again, unsure if this is whatever's going on or his own guilt spilling out. "And the worst part is, I don't regret it." This time when he covers his mouth his hands stays put.
Fizz "Oh shit," she whispered, mostly thinking, what have i just done.
Parker moves away from Ben a little.
Ben "What the fuck," he mumbles into his hand. "What the fuck."
Rae is shocked, her mind going to Hazel. "What?"
Rosie covers her mouth. "Holy shit."
Macey looks up from her phone, mouth open.
Victoria "Oh my gods," she said guiltily, looking at Ben knowing her magic did this and then looking to Cyrus, whispering, "this is my fault."
Chase 's eyes widen and looks away from Jesse and to Ben.
Keaton 's blinked, looking surprised at Ben.
Nadia doesn't even know what to do anymore.
Cyrus pulls his eyes from Ben, who he has made a note to stay away from, and looks over at Victoria. "No, you didn't know this was gonna happen." He shakes his head.
Rosie looks around, and when no one else says anything, she pipes up. "Who?"
Chase wants to know this and keeps his eyes on Ben.
Victoria "Yeah, but they're all getting hurt because I made everyone tell the truth," she replied to Cyrus.
Mikey is looking at Ben and then looks over at Rosie as she asks the question he didn't want to know the answer to.
Macey whacks Rosie in the arm, "Why would you ask that?"
Ellie 's eyes widen in surprise. "What?" she asked, a bit quietly. Whenever she spoke to Ben, he never seemed like someone who would do that.
Rosie jumps when Macey hits her. "Oh, like you don't want to know!"
Macey "Not really!"
Keaton said out loud, without thinking. "Why?"
Cyrus "Define hurt. Is anyone really going to not recover from a little fiery truth?"
Ben tries to hide that his eyes are welling up with tears. "Colin. Because he killed Sean." He presses his hands to his face. "What the hell is going on?"
Rae gasps, her hand going over her mouth.
Victoria "Uh, maybe, I don't know, Ben?" Toria replied, her face as if to say 'duh'.
Cyrus "Okay, so should we tell them?"
Cyrus "Or should we just leave?"
Keaton sat there silent, not knowing what to think about Ben killing Colin because of Sean.
Malia has sat up straight and is staring at the ground, her body angled away from the circle.
Mikey "You okay?" He asked Keaton.
Alec doesn't know who these people are so stays silent for once, looking around the circle with wide eyes.
Fizz stays where she is, not scared of Ben.
Chase isn't sure what to do with this information or what they're supposed to do about it.
Victoria shook her head. "No, it'll be too obvious if we left. Besides it's not like anyone's going to guess it was my fault, we just, um, won't say anything."
Keaton shrugged to Mikey's question, looking between him, Mikey, Blue, and Ben."
Keaton: wait
Keaton: *him, Blue, and Ben
Rae rubs her hands together, antsy about all this weirdness.
Blue is staring at Ben stonily.
Rosie also doesn't know what to do with this information. "Should we... continue?"
Mikey "Do you want to stay?" He asked Keaton.
Chase clears his throat quietly and then looks at Jesse. "Should someone get Chiron?" he whispers.
Rae nods at Rosie, "Yeah, just keep going. Move on. Something's up. I have no idea what."
Keaton "I'm fine," he said, "do you want to stay?"
Blue "You should go," she says to Ben.
Cyrus "So, we'll just keep people talking," He responded to Victoria and then looked at Rosie. "Yes, let's continue."
Macey puts her face in her hands, "What the fuck is going on?" She mutters to herself.
Jesse looks at Chase, then rubs the back of his neck. "I don't know." He looks over at Mal.
Malia doesn't say anything because if she talks it's probably going to be about how much she wants to get high right now.
Jesse moved a little closer to Malia and touches her arm. "Hey," he says quietly.
Ben doesn't move or say anything.
Ellie "Do you think he's telling the truth, it's just surprising and all. Maybe it's just that I haven't been here for long," she whispered to Chase.
Keaton stared at Blue, trying to read any other reaction than what's happening.
Blue stands up. "I said you should go, Ben."
Mikey has finished his beer tbh and gets another one.
Chase frowns at Ellie. "The only surprising part is that he killed someone else." He blanches and covers his mouth when he says this, then shakes his head.
Mikey "Oh, no. I'll stay." He responded to Keaton on time
Fizz "I'm sorry Ben," she said quietly to him, she didn't mean for it to go this way.
Mikey: lol
Rae sighs loudly, "Jesus Christ. Here we go."
Blue "Fuck off, Taylor Swift, this is family business."
Ellie "He just, didn't really seem that mean to me when I talked to him," she replied to Chase.
Chase shakes his head, watching Blue. "He's.. it's a long story, it's a lot, we can talk about it later."
Parker scoots further away from Ben now because getting burned would suck.
Blue approaches Ben. "What makes you think you have the right to, what, avenge our family?"
Rae rolls her eyes, unfazed.
L pulls her knees into her chest.
Mikey sits up straight and frowns deeply at Blue.
Keaton "Blue..." Keaton started.
Ben clenches his jaw but doesn't look up from the ground. "He was my friend. He saved my life on multiple occasions. And I didn't see anyone else volunteering."
Rae grabs another beer and ignores what's going on because she thinks Blue is being Extra.
Rosie finds this all awfully exciting.
Blue looks at her brothers. "Fine," she says. "Thanks for your services." She walks back to her spot and sits down. "Give me the fucking rum."
Rosie holds the rum out for Blue immediately.
Keaton let out a large breath, not realizing he was holding his breath when Blue sat back down. "I, uh, think it's your turn Ben," he said, trying to move on from this.
Ben doesn't answer, doesn't ask Parker a question, but instead picks up his whiskey, stands, and walks away.
Fizz feels bad for taking part in bringing this on
Mikey grits his teeth and stares down at the ground now that Blue has given up.
Cyrus "Bye Ben!" He calls out, after Ben was out of earshot and then chuckles to himself.
Rae watches Ben leave, frowning in Blue's direction. "Here, Fizz, re-do, you can ask Parker a question."
Brent looks at Cyrus with a disapproving stare.
Rosie "Don't fuck up this time!" she calls cheerily to Fizz.
Fizz looked up again, "Oh, uh, okay," she replied before giving Rosie a glare. "Parker, who do you trust with your life?"
Macey widens her eyes at both her siblings incredulously, "Are you for real right now?"
Kwame watches Ben walk away. "Is there someone he can talk to?" they ask Laurel and Ellie, looking between the two.
Rosie rolls her eyes and looks at Macey. "I'm not serious, it's obviously not her fault."
Parker shoves his tongue into the side of his cheek. "Mal, Kieran, and Amber."
Jesse looks over when Parker says Amber's name, but didn't hear the question.
Macey "Yeah, but It's still not funny."
Ellie shrugged. "I mean, I don't think he wants to talk to anyone. I can, um, try, but I doubt he'll talk to me. I'm not sure who he'd talk to," Ellie responded to Kwame.
Rosie just scoffs and pulls a flask out of her pocket since Blue has her rum.
Chase notices Jesse look over and 'wonders why'.
Malia eventually returns her head to Jesse's shoulder.
Laurel "I would think so," Laurel responds. "I'm sure Chiron would be able to lend a ear, but I'm not sure if there's someone here designated to be a therapist. That would be healthy though." She repeats, answering
Nadia: laurel, the voice of reason camp needs
Parker then turns to Nadia. "Uh, guilty pleasure?"
Keaton: where is the lie tho
Cyrus "Hey, I don't even know Ben?" Cyrus responded to Macey on time. "And I don't intend to."
L hears Lauren say 'therapist' and nods.
Jesse puts his arm around Mal again and looks back to her.
Rosie "So mature," she mutters under her breath before taking a drink.
Brent has his head in his hands.
Nadia thinks. "I mean, I guess it's not guilty but, I like country music and it drives everyone in my cabin crazy." She smiles a little, "Um, or maybe reality tv?" The second part wasn't meant to be said and she frowns.
Avery "That's true!" Avery said. "It drives me nuts in the room. Then again I listen to crappy pop music."
Macey "Then why do you need to say anything about it?" She looks at Rosie, surprised, "I'm right next to you."
Nadia smiles at Avery, "Okay, cutie, if you could change anything about our cabin, what would it be? And I mean like, the building. Not the people in it." She clarifies.
Rosie looks at Macey. "Yeah, sorry."
Avery "Does bringing Wyatt back count or is that like in the people in it situation. Because technically he's not 'in it' right now."
Rae grins and puts am arm around Avery's shoulders, "You and me both, hun."
Nadia shrugs, "Sure. that can count."
Avery "Okay, Rae, ugly and live forever or attractive and die in a year?"
Rae "Attractive and die in a year." She says without hesitating, "I'm shallow." The last part was an unplanned add on, but she just smiles to brush it off like she meant it.
Nadia looks over at Brent and frowns, noticing he has his head in his hands. She waits to see if he does anything else.
Macey squints, "What the fuck, Rosie."
Avery frowns. "I'd rather you be ugly than, I wouldn't have to say goodbye to you so soon."
Avery watched Nadia look over to their brother and Avery followed her gaze.
Rae looks over at Avery and smiles, "Aw, you're sweet. Alright, Mikey," She turns to her other friend, "If you could be doing anything in the world right now besides being right here, what would you be doing?"
Rosie crosses her arms. "You know I wasn't serious, I'm never serious! Why do you have to call out everything I say lately?" She has a moment of surprise that all that came out, but she doesn't regret it so she just presses her lips together.
Alec wonders if every campfire is as tense as this one.
Kwame wonders the same.
Jesse looks around the campfire again, his eyes settling on Laurel automatically now that he's realized why he recognizes her.
Brent sinks his head a little lower, rubbing his palms along his jaw and around to the back of his neck.
Macey meant to say she hadn't been, but it instead came out as, "Because you've been saying things that aren't that funny lately." She frowns, "I just, I'm having a situation right now," Glancing over at Brent, she notices his head in his hands, she frowns further and turns back to Rosie, "It's just not a good time, I'm sorry, I don't mean to snap at you."
Mikey looks at Rae as he's being asked. "Uh, I don't know much besides camp," He answered. "I don't really like the forges lately, so definitely not there. I'd want to be somewhere warm though, whatever I'm doing," He shrugged, talking more than he wanted to. "Maybe laying on a beach."
Rae sighs, "A beach would be so nice right now." She notices Brent and blinks, knowing that mannerism well. She glances at Nadia, then at Macey, to see if either of them have noticed.
Rosie frowns more when Macey looks to Brent and wraps her arms around herself. "Whatever. You have your priorities." She turns to face Blue and takes another one of the marshmallows.
Avery watches Brent carefully, not really listening to the game anymore, concerned a bit.
Blue is holding her hand in the fire, burning marshmallows to ash in her palm.
Keaton watched Blue burn the marshmallows, waiting for his question from Mikey.
Macey opens her mouth to say something, but doesn't know how to respond, being pulled in two directions. She leans over Brent again, immediately regretting her cold responses earlier. "Hey," She places a hand gently on his leg, "Are you okay?”
L watches Blue and twists her hands together.
Mikey tries to think of a question and then decides on one and looks over at Keaton. "What's your favorite thing about Rory?"
Brent is slower to respond that usual; he eventually drags his hands back over his face and presses them together in front of his mouth. "I'll be okay," he says, eyes soft-focused on the fire.
Keaton smiled just thinking about Rory. "Probably the way she teases me," he said and then was a bit confused, not meaning to say thinking. "Or her kindness," he added to recover the confusion. "It's hard to pick, honestly."
Avery nudged Nadia, "Should we let Macey handle him, right now?" she asked.
Nadia sighs, "I think so. It looks like she's doing something. If she was gonna ignore it I would've gone over there. But I know he wouldn't want to bring attention to it."
Mikey nods, taking that as an answer. "I'm glad you have her in your life."
Blue watches her brother then drops the disintegrated marshmallow into the fire. "Let's reverse order now, yeah?" She half-asks, half-tells the crowd.
Rosie smiles widely at Blue. "Yes, let's." She takes another marshmallow and starts hollowing out the middle.
Macey is concerned. And upset. And confused. And a whole jumble of things. "You sure? We can leave if you need to."
Keaton "Oh uh, okay," Keaton replied, "Mikey, what's one happy thing that's happened to you this week?"
Mikey "Avery and I made bracelets together and we made one for one another." He holds up his wrist to show the bracelets on it, he points to the one Avery made.
Jesse takes one of Malia's hands.
Avery looked over from her brother when she heard her name. She smiled a little. "Aww, I got mine on too," she said pointing to hers. "That was really fun."
Rosie hollows out enough of the marshmallow that she can pour some vodka from her flask into the centre and take a shot.
Mikey smiles back at Avery and then looks over at Rae. "What's one thing that you're unsure of in your life right now?"
Cyrus witnesses Rosie make a shot out of a marshmallow and laughs. "Dude, that's amazing, Rosie." He doesn't pay attention to the bracelets. "Make one for me?"
Rosie looks pleased when Cyrus compliments it, and stuffs her marshmallow into her mouth so she has hands to make another one for him.
Brent shakes his head. "I think it'll be better if I sit here." He looks at Macey and offers a small smile. "I'll be fine."
Rae "Not knowing if I want to go off to college like Wyatt and Hazel or staying here." She blurts, followed by a confused look. "I—" Rae chooses to take a long gulp of her beer instead. "I hate this."
Macey nods, putting her previous feelings aside for a moment and resting her head on his shoulder, "Okay. We can talk about this later, too, if you want."
Rae looks at Avery, "What's your least favorite thing you have to do at camp?"
Mikey chews on the inside of his cheek sadly, not wanting to see Rae leave.
Rosie finishes the marshmallow shot glass and grins at Cyrus, moving to her knees and shuffling over to give it to him. "Wanna get wasted tonight?" she asks him.
Avery "Deal with everything bad that's happened," she blurted out and then covered her mouth quickly. "I," she tried to lie but then just downed the rest of her alcohol. "I'm really hating this game."
Rae raises her can to Avery, "Girl, same."
Alec nudges Fizz. "This is intense."
Avery "Nadia, what's the most memorable thing you've ever done."
Nadia: lmao do i even know the answer to that???
Cyrus nods happily at Rosie's question. "Yes, please. We're going to have to take a trip into the city to refill our stash soon though. We've been hitting the bottles pretty hard lately."
Rosie sits down on her feet. "What d'you got right now?"
L starts drawing in the dirt with a stick.
Nadia "I guess when the war happened, I like, fought a god and I survived?" She shrugs, not really thinking of anything else she's done that's memorable.
Cyrus "Well, I didn't bring anything because I was feeling petty and already supplied the alcohol for the Holiday party," He explained. "But, if you look over there, that Ben guy left more than I had in the first place. I say we just drink it."
Rae "With your goddamn bare hands." She embellishes to Nadia's story.
Rosie snaps her fingers at him and crawls over to the pile to grab more.
Nadia shakes her head. "Rae's tipsy, don't listen to her."
Laurel hears and smiles at Nadia.
Nadia turns to Parker, "Um, what's your favorite physical feature, and tell us why."
Parker "Like, on myself?"
Nadia nods.
Blue "His dick," she calls across the circle.
Rosie snorts at what Blue says as she returns to Cyrus with a few bottles.
Parker laughs and shakes his head. "She asked for my favourite, not yours. I think.. My arms, because," he shrugs, looking at his arm, "they look good?"
Mikey yawns and looks at Keaton. "I think I'm going to head home," He told him. "And, also I'm kind of hungry."
Keaton "I'll head back with you," he replied.
Cyrus grins when Rosie reappears next to him. He chuckles at Blue too btw. He takes a bottle. "Damn, he's got some pretty good stuff," He points out and then begins to drink right out of the bottle.
Rosie "Take a shot from the marshmallow!"
Alec nods when Parker says his arms looks good since no one else does.
Parker turns to Fizz. "What's the dumbest thing you've done while drunk?"
Parker wasn't questioning that his arms looked good btw he just wasn't totally sure if that's the reason they were his favourite.
Parker but it is bc he is vain
Alec still would like to confirm that Parker has nice arms
Parker c;
Mikey pces out
Fizz "Tried to make an explosive," she replied and then widened her eyes, she never wanted anyone to know that. "Okay, okay, in my defense it did nothing."
Rae waves bye to Mikey and Keaton.
Brent eventually is more relaxed than he is worked up and takes Macey's hand.
Cyrus "Fuck! I forgot! Where'd it go?"
Rosie sticks her tongue out at him and then holds out the marshmallow. "I never gave it to you."
Alec laughs at Fizz's reply.
Fizz looked to Alec. "What is one thing you miss from before camp?" she asked.
Alec "There was this girl who worked at a coffee shop I went to a lot that I had a crush on! Oh, and I worked at this pet store, right, and sometimes we would get in these lizards, and I'm allergic to most animals, right, but I could hold the lizards." They nod.
Macey doesn't let go this time, trying to ignore that she's still upset with him.
Cyrus takes the marshmallow and pours in the drink and then does the shot. "The best thing about this is that you can eat your shot glass afterwards."
L nods at Alec's reply because holding lizards is something she would miss too. She erases her drawing with her foot and then starts a new one with the stick again.
Rosie "Yeah! And not a drop is wasted."
Alec looks over at Brent. "What's your favourite thing to do on a rainy day?" They look genuinely interested in his answer.
Fizz kept his answer in mind, maybe thinking of getting him a lizard.
Brent looks over at Alec, unaware that it was his turn again. "Oh, um, I usually make a meal for my siblings and Macey and we'll watch a movie. Or I'll go for a run in the rain if I feel like it." He was the slightest bit grateful for this weird thing happening to him now, because it required no effort to talk.
Brent: what is tense
Avery "The rain covers up his gross sweat," she added.
Alec nods along with the answer, delighted. "I drought your rainy days are dull," they say, then laugh at their own joke again.
Rae laughs at Alec's pun. "That was good."
Alec beams at Rae.
Ellie laughed a little, hearing Alec's joke as she made it a point to now pay more attention.
Brent laughs. "I guess not." He looks at Macey, studying her for a moment. "What's the best thing that's happened to you this week?"
Victoria looked around at everyone, the awkwardness still standing, she pulls Cyrus arm toward her.
Macey thinks. "I got some new clothes, um, bought them," She clarifies, carefully, "And you got me french fries from McDonalds when we were out getting those clothes."
Macey looks over at Rosie, not even sure why she's asking this question, "What's the wildest thing you've ever done?"
Alec sighs happily. "Potatoes and all their variations are so good."
Rosie looks over her shoulder when it's her turn to answer a question, and shuffles halfway back to her original seat. "When I was fourteen I stole a car and tried to drive to Mexico because I didn't want to go to school?"
Victoria looked at her cup, gulping down the rest of the alcohol in it anxiously.
Macey can't help but smile, "That's a valid reason. I hotwired a car and that's why I got sent here in the first place."
Rosie smiles quickly and then looks to Blue. "Top three hottest people at camp." She tosses her hair and laughs. "Of course, excluding me."
Macey can't say she didn't notice the obvious lack of response and immediately returns to her frown again.
Ellie leans into Chase, "I'm kind of tired, I'm going to head back to the cabin, okay?" she told him.
Blue scoffs. "Fine. L, Viv, aaaaand...." she looks at Parker and winks at him, "Vienna."
Rosie grins. "All true."
Parker snaps his fingers and winks at Blue.
L is super honoured.
Chase leans back against Ellie and nods. "Alright, I'll see y'there."
Ellie leaves
Blue "Kay, L, who here would you be willing to paint a naked portrait of?"
Rosie snorts and covers her mouth.
L laughs. "Figure drawing is actually really helpful! So probably most people here." She makes a face. "As long as they're eighteen."
Avery is slightly disappointed that counts her out.
L can paint Avery clothed if she wants. She turns to Kwame and squints. "Um, what's the weirdest dream you've ever had?"
Kwame ponders for a moment, then winces. "Oh, I know. Once I dreamt that a large hawk was eating my dog whole. And a rat tried to defend him? But he was eaten, too." They shake their head. "Poor animals."
Rae frowns because dogs, "That's so sad."
Alec looks as though they might cry. "At least it was a dream?"
L frowns and then nods along with Alec's comment.
Fizz raises her eyebrows at Alec, surprised at the look on their face.
Kwame smiles, a little endeared by their reactions. "I've never even owned a dog, if that also makes you feel better. It was pure fiction."
L raises her eyebrows. "Ah."
Alec still looks disturbed by the hypothetical animal death. "The poor rat, too."
Kwame turns to Chase. "What's your dream for... ah... ten years from now?" they asked, genuinely curious.
Jesse looks to Chase.
Chase expects an answer to come flying out of him easily as it did with the shampoo answer but he gets out, "I.. don't really have a plan?" He makes a face. "I don't know if I'll even live that long, y'know?" He frowns. "I should probably start.. thinking about this."
Jesse shakes his head at Chase. "You don't have to know right now."
Chase waves his hand dismissively at Jesse. "I'm gonna start thinking about it, because that's actually important and shit." He shakes his head. "Uh, I dunno, is there anything I don't know about you?" He laughs slightly at this.
Jesse "Most of my life," he says, then blinks rapidly. "Um."
Malia lifts her head from Jesse's shoulder.
Victoria "What have I done," she said quietly to herself, watching this trainwreck go on.
Chase raises his eyebrows at Jesse. "Really?"
Malia "Really?" she asks at nearly the same time.
Jesse tries to deny it, but just nods. He turns red and covers his face. "Can we go back to the cabin now?"
Chase nods. "Yeah, sure." He starts getting up.
Victoria "This is all my fault," Victoria blurts out, loudly.
Rae looks over at Victoria, lost. "What's your fault?"
Alec also looks confused.
Victoria "This whole thing," she said, shaking her head. "I didn't mean for it to turn out this way, I just I was trying to have some fun and I cast this spell but it went wrong."
Alec "A spell? Like Hocus Pocus?"
Malia "You cast a spell?" she repeats, looking horrified.
Macey sighs and rubs her face. "Lovely."
Rae immediately frowns.
Brent sighs and rubs his eyes. "That explains it."
Victoria "No, not exactly, it's from one of the books in my cabin, it was supposed to make everyone just act weird, I didn't mean for it to make everyone tell the truth. I didn't know what to do."
Victoria had tears in her eyes, feeling incredibly guilty
Rosie leans forward. "Does it wear off?"
Kwame nods. "Thank you for telling us."
Nadia puts a comforting hand on her shoulder because she feels bad that she's so upset.
Blue "Oh shit, that's actually kinda sick. Like, if we knew. It'd be cool."
Alec is distressed at how distressed Victoria is. "You didn't mean for this to happen, it's okay!"
Victoria "I mean the original spell I tried to use, it only like through the night, but I'm not sure."
Fizz is like 'well shit man'.
Rosie grins. "Then no sweat! You caused a pretty wild night."
Victoria "I just I didn't want everyone to think I did all this on purpose, I should've told everyone sooner. It was a mistake."
Victoria "I hurt a bunch of you, and I didn't mean to."
Malia "Yeah, I love it when magic is used against me," she mumbled under her breath.
Blue "Well it explains why The Zodiac Killer dropped his bomb."
Rae for the first time in years—begrudgingly—agrees with Malia.
Victoria "I'm sorry."
Jesse rubs his temples. "So if we just go to sleep it'll wear off?"
Nadia "Hey, mistakes happen. It's okay."
Victoria "Most likely," she replied to Jesse's question.
Chase looks at his fingernails. "That'll be easy for us."
Macey looks over at Brent, "I think I wanna go."
Kwame "I agree with..." they held their hand out to Nadia, "sorry, I don't know your name. But I agree. It was an honest mistake."
Rosie stretches her arms over her head. "I'm gonna dip then."
Alec nods when Kwame speaks. "Me too! Accidents happen."
Fizz "Yeah, I mean, this mistake kind of really fucking sucked but we all are still half human and make mistakes."
Nadia blinks, "Oh, gods, no manners from me, wow, sorry, I'm Nadia."
Brent nods. "Me too." He hesitates. "Are you coming over or going back to your cabin?"
Avery probably was like well this was a mess peaced.
Rosie pces out
Blue stands and stretches. "Well, this was fun, not really. Peace out."
Blue dips
Alec nudges Fizz. "Wanna head out too?"
Victoria "I, uh, should leave," she said, getting up and grabbing her stuff and leaves.
L ya leaves idk
Macey debates it for a moment. "Um, I'll come over. Can we talk now? Or do you want to wait until tomorrow?"
Fizz "Yeah, I've had enough crazy for one day."
Rae also leaves
Brent "I'd rather not go to bed this upset."
Parker walks over to Malia, Jesse, and Chase, but mostly Malia. "I'll catch you later?"
Macey gives a faint, little smile. "Good. Me either."
Alec "Sweet." They stand up and hold out a hand to help their sister up too.
Kwame smiles at Nadia. "Pleasure to meet you, Nadia. My name is Kwame. I hope we can meet again in nice circumstances."
Jesse looks up when Parker comes over.
Fizz took their hand and pced out.
Nadia smiles back, "Me too. I promise, campfires aren't always like this."
Malia looks up at Parker, barely mustering up a smile. "Yeah."
Parker nods at Jesse and then presses his lips together while looking at Mal. "You okay?"
Malia shrugs. The magic is clearly fading because she didn't tell him right away that she was confused and upset. "It's been a weird night."
Jesse looks to Chase and smiles weakly.
Parker "Yeah," he nods again. "Alright, I'll.. see you later." He isn't sure if he should leave or acknowledge Jesse more so as not to be rude so he holds his fist out for an awkward fist-bump.
Malia snorts. "Parker." She puts her hand on his fist and stands, kissing him on the cheek. "I'll see you later."
Jesse blinks and looks up at Parker and then down at his hand. He's relieved when Mal takes Parker's hand before he has to do anything, but just looks more confused by the second.
Chase gives Parker the weirdest look.
Parker looks embarrassed and just nods, laughs a bit, and walks away, cringing at himself.
Jesse pushes himself to his feet, still looking lost. "Let's, uh, go back to the cabin?"
Chase nods at Jesse and follows after him. "Yeah."
Malia falls into place next to Jesse, arms crossed as if she was cold. "That was so fucked up."
Chase "Yeah," he rubs the back of his neck.
Jesse nods slowly. "I know. We're lucky we were asked easy questions."
Malia "Still," she mumbled, "that was not cool."

christmas party
CHARACTERS: Pretty much everyone DATE: December 23rd DESCRIPTION: Camp’s annual Christmas party. Mistletoe is hung, eggnog is spiked, there’s enough cookies to feed an army, & other festivities.
The Rec Building rarely ever used the top floor, but, it was perfect for events like this: the camp holiday party. Fully decorated with a large Christmas tree, twinkling lights strung across the ceiling, decorations, and plenty of food, drinks, and snacks, the place was festive enough to fill up an entire house. Tables were scattered around for people to sit and visit, as well as holiday music playing in the background. It was almost impossible to not smile when walking inside and taking in the ambience.
Casey walks into the Rec Room, sees that the place has barely filled up yet, and immediately feels awkward. In an effort to avoid the obligatory small talk that plagues early arrivers, he makes a beeline for the drinks and becomes very invested in the tablecloth.
,Alec pokes their head through the door and, seeing that there are indeed people there, breaks into a grin and steps inside. They tilt their head back to admire the lights.
Malia walks in (in this hot ass outfit admire http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=21366... ) with Jesse, looking around the room. "Aw, it's so cute in here."
Cyrus finishes a spliff as he makes his way to the party at the Rec Building. He puts it out before stepping inside, just in time to hear Malia. "It's almost too much." He responded, even though it wasn’t directed to him.
Jesse smiles at Malia. "So festive," he agrees. When Cyrus speaks, he looks over at him, but doesn't reply.
,Alec trips over the leg of a chair and is forced to look back down from the ceiling. They straighten themselves up and then look around quickly before heading over to the snacks.
Victoria walks in, a bright smile on her face. "Man I love the holidays," she exclaims before jumping onto Cyrus' back, hoping to startle him. (oh btw i don't have her outfit done but it's probably like a nice shirt with, high-waisted shorts, and cute decorative ish tights)
Rae strolls past Cyrus as he was speaking, (looking her absolute preppiest http://www.polyvore.com/christmas/set?id... ) and turns around. "Nah, there's no such thing. It's festive as hell in here."
Malia doesn't answer Cyrus (sorry) and kisses Jesse. "There was mistletoe, right?" she asked when she pulled away, looking up. When she was proved correct, she grinned and pecked him again.
Cyrus heard a very familiar voice and then all of a sudden he feels someone jump on his back and he lets her and laughs loudly. "Hey, loser," He greeted Victoria and then looked over at Rae. "You're just saying that because you're not on the naughty list." He joked.
Victoria "It is festive," Victoria said happily, she got down from Cyrus' back and nudged him. "Is this one being a scrooge?"
Jesse rests his hand on her lower back and kisses her one more time, then smiles again. "I guess there was."
,Alec pulls a small tupperware of mini quiches out of their pocket.
Rae raises her eyebrows, "How do you know I'm not?"
Cyrus "Because I haven't heard anything bad about you," He responded to Rae after getting nudged by Victoria. He swatted her hands away and then nudged her back. "I'm at the top of the naughty list," He continued in explanation. "That doesn't mean I'm a Scrooge. I love the holidays, it's the perfect time to get lit."
Casey is wearing this: http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=21366...
Casey sees Alec pull a container of quiches from his pocket and raises a brow. "Did you bring your own food?"
Casey *their pocket
Rae "Because I'm flawless, obviously." She smiled, "And that's very true. I'm here just hoping someone puts something in the eggnog."
Blue shoves open the door and starts at the crowd gathered by the door. "That packed? At this time of night? Impressive."
,Alec sets the container down on the table with the other snacks. "Uh huh! I mean, not for me, for other people, I can't eat dairy. Do you want one? Do you like quiches? I think the fact they're mini makes them better. They're just so cute, you know?"
Victoria "I can't believe you just said, 'get lit'," she replied with a small roll of her eyes. "I'm sure someone will put something in it."
L slides into the party (wearing http://www.polyvore.com/holiday_partay/s... and heads over to see if there's hot cocoa mix.
Blue beams as soon as she sees L and slides over. "Babe! Look at your cute sweater. Merry whatever."
Casey laughs. "Yeah, they're cute. Are they vegan?" Casey contemplates the quiches.
,Alec shakes their finger. "Whoa. Now, that would've been a good idea. Why didn't I just make vegan quiches? No, they're not. But next time! Next time they will be."
Casey "That's okay, I'm not a vegan." Casey plucks a quiche from the container and pops the entire thing in his mouth. Chewing slowly, trying not to choke, he gives Alec two thumbs up.
L "Thanks! Happy Holidays." She grins at Blue. "I like how shiny yours is."
,Alec beams and gives him two thumbs up back. "Fantastico! I'm Alec, by the way. What's your name? You have good taste in quiches!"
Casey puts a finger up in pause, trying to swallow the quiche as quickly as he can. Mouth still half-full, he mutters back "Casey. It's good."
Macey wonders if she'll ever in her life be on time to a party. Probably never. But at least her outfit is cute (http://www.polyvore.com/16/set?id=213660... ) and Brent doesn't seem to mind being fashionably late, either. "Awww!" She claps her hands together and walks inside, the mistletoe going over her head both literally and figuratively, "This is legit so cute!"
Lulu joined the chat
Kieran walks into the party dressed to the nines ( http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=21366... ). For a moment he wonders if he overdressed, but desperate to give his nicer clothes a proper outing, shrugs it off.
Lulu skips in her arms full of bags of cookies, in her very festive outfit ( http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=21366... )"I brought cookies!" she exclaimed excitedly.
Rae "Your dress is adorable!" She says to Lulu.
,Alec "Oh!" They press their lips together when they realize they didn't give Casey a chance to finish chewing. "Nice to meet you!"
Lulu curtsied happily. "Thank you," she said almost dropping all the cookies. "Can you help me with this?" she asked Rae.
Rae "Of course!" She grabbed one of the trays from Lulu and helped her carry them over to the rest of the food, "Man, I should've made cupcakes or something, I didn't even think of that."
Brent notices the mistletoe as Macey guides him inside, so he gently pulls her back and kisses her, hands settling onto her waist.
Casey smiles, swallowing the last bits of quiche. "Nice to meet you too. Did you make these yourself?"
Avery "Ew," Avery joked at Brent and Macey, slipping past them. She wiped her slippers on the rug a little, happy they didn't get too wet or dirty on the walk over.
Kieran stands in the corner, feigning nonchalance as he swings his coat over one shoulder. He looks off into the distance, counting a minute down in his head before pulling out his phone to text Parker.
Lulu set her tray on the tables with a bright smile on her face. "This is my favorite time of year, with snow and the decorations, and the food, oh the food."
,Rosie slips into the room and starts edging her way towards the snacks table, trying to be as subtle as possible while wearing a giant sparkly feather boa.
Malia has been making out with Jesse this whole time bc why not
Rae "Same! I normally bake like, way more stuff. I've just been off my game this year, I guess."
Parkeṛ pulls up (wearing http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=21366... ) after he gets Kieran's text and texts him back asking where he is. Before he gets a reply, he spots him, and walks over. "Hey." He looks between the two of them and then at everyone else. "Not gonna win the ugly sweater contest, I guess."
Lulu "If you want we can bake together, tomorrow? I was planning on making some christmas cupcakes."
Kieran "I didn't know there was a theme." He glances around at some of the evening wear and snickers. "I don't think it was intentional."
Macey doesn't understand why she's being pulled backwards, but smiles at the kiss regardless, putting her arms around his neck. She looks up and finally spots the mistletoe. "Oh. Ha," She ruffles his beanie a bit, "Very cute. And you," Macey points to wherever Avery went to, "Get back here, I need a picture of your matching sweaters."
Rae "That sounds like fun," She smiles, "I'm totally in."
Avery heard Macey's voice and by the matching sweaters, she knew it was about her. She began to was backwards, holding her hands up. She turned to walk the right way the rest of the way. "Fine, fine, but I better get a copy of this photo," she replied with a big grin.
Parkeṛ shrugs. "Guess people have different ideas of what holiday party attire is." He scans the room.
Kieran shrugs. "We look better."
Macey "I'll text it to you. It'll be 100% Instagram worthy. Now," She guides the two of them out of the way of Mal and Jesse towards some lights, pulling out her phone, "Do something cute. A funny face, something sibling-y, we just need to be able to see the sweaters."
Avery "What if we point at each other's sweaters all happy like?"
Macey looks towards Brent for approval.
,Alec "Yeah I did! I love baking. And origami! I wonder if I could combine them? Do you bake?"
Lulu "Yay! Baking buddies!"
Jesse leans back and smiles down at Malia again, brushing a piece of hair away from her face.
Casey "Not like you. I can do origami, though!"
Parkeṛ smiles and pushes the sleeves of his sweater up. "That was gonna happen either way."
,Alec "Really?" They grin at him. "I love when people make little animals. Mini paper animals! What could be better than that?"
Brent shrugs, smiling at his sister. "Whatever you think will make it the most Instagram worthy," he says, the last phrase clearly foreign to his tongue.
Avery "I think it'd be totally instagram worthy."
Blue "Thanks girlie," she says with a wink. "It's radiant, like your cute face."
Kieran grins. "We have an unfair disadvantage."
Macey "Perfect." She sets herself up in the perfect place, "Smile!" She snaps a succession of pictures.
Rae "Baking buddies," She grins and nods in agreement, "What kind of cookies did you make?"
Casey laughs. "You really like things mini."
Lulu "I made Peanut Butter Blossoms, cut out cookies, and thumbprints."
Bentley wanders into the party, looking hesitant and a little overwhelmed.
Malia laughs. "Maybe we should actually say hi to people before we stay here all night."
,Alec "Do I? I guess I do!" They pick up a single piece of popcorn from a bowl. "What cabin are you in?"
Jesse lets go of her with a laugh and straightens his shirt. "Yeah, okay." He looks around for someone they both like.
L flushes, brings her hands to her cheeks and smiles. "Oh." She drops her hands and tries to follow that up with something but can't find a smooth transition, "Do you know why mint is a flavour for this time of the year? Because that always seemed funny to me."
Casey "Iris Cabin. What about you?"
Parkeṛ shakes his head. "It's not unfair. Other people get cool powers and we get to look good all the time. It's pretty even."
Rae "Covered all the bases, I like it."
Kieran "Sure, that sounds even," he laughs.
,Alec throws the popcorn into the air and catches it in their mouth. "Tyche!"
Malia starts to walk in one direction, but notices her brothers standing not too far away in that direction, so she turns and instead goes in another random direction, ending up next to Victoria. "Hey girl," she said with a smile. "How are you?"
Kerri walks in late. "Oh, I feel way too dressy now," she mutters ( http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=21366... ) as she looked around for someoneshe knew.
Victoria smiled. "Hey! I'm great, you two look absolutely amazing tonight. Where'd you get your outfit, Malia?" she asked.
Casey "So are you super lucky then?"
Parkeṛ sees that there's a table for food and starts moving towards it, motioning for Kieran to walk with him. "Who organized this? Is this an actual camp thing?"
Caspar just wakes up and remembers there's a Holiday party tonight so he throws on this: http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=21365... and heads for the Rec room. Once he gets there he hears Kerri and offers her a smile. "I think I'm a little too dressed down. So we're in this together."
Jesse stands beside Malia, just half an inch back. He smiles at Victoria, then looks over at Mal.
Lulu "Yeah, thought I went a little overboard with the peanutbutter blossoms, they're my fav."
,Rosie pulls a mini bottle of vodka out of her shirt, snatches a handful of popcorn from the snacks table, and then looks in between the two in contemplation.
Macey has taken enough sufficient pictures and nods approvingly. "Okay, one more then we're done I swear. I just need a picture now, can we trade places?" She smiles at Avery and begins walking her phone over to her.
,Alec "I guess so! It's like, if a piano fell out of the sky it would probably miss me." They take another piece of popcorn. "What happens in the Iris cabin? Can you make rainbows?"
Rae makes a 'psh' noise. "No such thing as too many cookies, I'd rather go overboard then not do anything at all, you know?"
Kerri walks over to Parker and Kieran. "Should I be surprised I'm finding you at the food table?"
Blue seriously considers this. "Hmmm, I have no clue." She sees Rosie over L's shoulder and grins. "Wait, come with me." She grabs her friend's hand and walks over to the daughter of Hermes' side. "Just do both," she says as a greeting. "Or give me the vodka."
Avery "Sure thingaroo," Avery smiled, taking Macey's phone. "Okay, say 'happy holidays and Avery is the best ever'," she joked.
,Rosie doesn't look surprised when Blue appears. "Think I could combine them somehow? Nah, that'd be gross." She uses her teeth to unscrew the cap on the vodka.
Lulu "That's very true, rather overachieve and half do something."
Parkeṛ has a cookie halfway in his mouth when Kerri walks over and shakes his head. He chews and swallows before speaking, "Nope."
Chase pulls up to the party (http://www.polyvore.com/holiday_party/se... ) and slides over to Caspar when he sees him. "Just wake up?"
Cyrus entered inside from smoking a cigarette and wondered if the eggnog was spiked yet. He walked over to the snack table and poured himself a glass. "This is disgusting."
L follows after Blue and half-smiles at Rosie.
Malia "Oh, like Barneys and Amazon," she says, chuckling. "You look cute, too! You here with anyone?"
Victoria "Nope not really, I like parties though, they're really fun and exciting. I assume you two are here together."
Bentley is also at the snack table, pouring himself the same eggnog. He wonders why Cyrus is drinking something he thinks is gross.
Caspar sees Chase and smiles softly at him in greeting. "Yeah, is it that obvious? I tried to run my fingers through my hair." He confessed and then noticed Chase's sweater. "Does your sweater light up?" He asked, curiously.
Cyrus sees Ben. "I wouldn't drink that yet. It's not even spiked," He points out.
Jesse nods at Victoria's question, still smiling.
Macey grins and looks over at Brent, "Hold on." She presses a kiss to his cheek, making sure the mark from her lipstick stays behind. "There, perfect. That's adorable." She finds some sort of cute pose for them and says through smiling teeth, "Avery, you're my favorite."
Chase shakes his head at Cyrus. "Just wanted to make sure I wasn't the only one." He looks down at his sweater and presses a button in the corner, causing the lights in it to flicker. "Yup. Best thirty dollars I've ever spent."
Kieran hesitates for a moment, wondering what she means, before replying, "Everyone eats."
Casey "I can't, no," Casey laughs. "I don't really know how to explain what I do."
Bentley isn't expecting to be spoken to and isn't prepared to answer. "... Are you planning on doing that?"
Kerri "And I feel like I find this one by the food, a lot," she replied, nudging Parker a little. "How are you two?"
Caspar "Jesse's here too, with Lia," He mentioned and the puts his attention on Chase's sweater. He watches it light up and he nods, smiling approvingly. "Thirty bucks? That's dedication," He comments. "I think it beats out everyone else's here tonight."
Cyrus realizes that he probably is going to have to be the one to spike it himself and sighs when Bentley talks to him. "Yes," He responds. "Want to contribute any alcohol to the cause?"
Parkeṛ "I'm a growing boy." He takes another bite and shrugs. "How're you?"
Blue "Yeah, not worth it," she says, taking a handful of popcorn and shoveling it into her mouth. "Wanna loan me some of that vodka, for real, though?"
Blue also takes some more popcorn and tosses some at Parker bc she has no impulse control.
Elliot walks in, a bit awkward. She wasn't the most festive human being but it beat sitting at home alone. She looked around, for someone to approach, debating on whether or not to just go toward the corner and avoid confrontation. (outfit: http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=21366... )
Chase "Yeah, I saw. I'll go bug him when they get too touchy." He bobs his head. "I'd say it was worth it. Your sweater isn't as lit," he resists the urge to wink as the corners of his mouth twitch upward, "but it's pretty cool."
Kerri "Good, it seems like forever since I've been to one of these parties," she said, grabbing a cookie. "What about you Kieran? Are you enjoying your night?"
Parkeṛ turns his head when Blue throws popcorn at him and laughs. "Don't waste it!"
Malia "Mmm, I dunno, are we?" she asks Jesse playfully, kissing him on the cheek.
Kieran dryly replies, "I'm having a blast, can't you tell?"
Chase: i love kieran
Kerri nods, a bit sarcastic. "Oh yeah, totally."
Bentley goes over a mental checklist of all the alcohol he has stockpiled in his cabin. "No."
,Rosie takes a swig from the bottle and then holds it out for Blue.
,Alec "That sounds cool! Like, it's complicated or just really weird?"
Avery "I know I am," Avery replies happily to Macey, a small joking smirk on her face before snapping a few good pictures.
Blue winks at Parker and throws more popcorn at him while also taking a swig from Rosie's bottle.
Caspar "Maybe I'll talk to the Heph cabin about installing some lights for next year," He replies, half joking. "But, thanks. It was cheap and it's warm, so, like, two of my favorite things."
Jesse laughs and wraps an arm around her waist. "We just ran into each other here."
,Rosie shoves the handful of popcorn into her mouth to cancel out the taste of the vodka. "I got some tequila too," she says through the popcorn.
Elliot looks around again, noticing two of her brothers, she begins walking toward them. "It got boring without all of you in the cabin," was the first thing out of her mouth when she appeared next to them.
Cyrus "That's not in the Christmas spirit," He comments and then shakes his head. "I guess I'll do it myself," He sets the cup of eggnog down on the table and just leaves it. He doesn't acknowledge Ben either as he leaves the Rec room.
L tilts her head at Rosie. "Where?"
Victoria "Oh yeah, definitely," Victoria replies. "Sounds totally correct. Because me running into Cyrus here is totally the same thing as you two making out in front of the door for a while 'running into each other'." She put air quotes around the last part of her words.
Malia laughs. "Hey, there was mistletoe, we were just following the rules."
Parkeṛ tries to catch it in his mouth and manages to get a piece. He grins, considering this a victory, and turns back to Kieran and Kerri. "Don't worry, it's gonna get better," he nods at Rosie and Blue sharing the bottle of vodka.
,Rosie pulls another small bottle out of her shirt and holds it out to L.
Blue laughs. "Holy shit, you're incredible."
Chase snorts and then nods sagely. "Cheap and comfortable is the best combination."
L lets out a small laugh. "Wow."
Jesse smiles at Mal. "Can't ignore the mistletoe."
Caspar notices Elliot appear and offers her a small smile in greeting. "I was hoping you'd show your face."
Victoria "I guess you can't," she smiled. "So how are you guys enjoying your night?"
Kerri "I wonder which one of them will get drunk first."
Bentley watches Cyrus walk away and frowns at the back of his head. He walks away and drinks the unspiked eggnog.
Elliot "Well I feel totally out of place," Ellie replied, twirling a piece of her hair nervously. "I'm not dressed festive enough for this."
Casey shrugs. "Both? It's like—it's something that doesn't really look like anything is happening."
Kieran looks around for the drinks. "With any luck, me."
Kerri "Well it's certainly not going to be me," she said. "Try the eggnog, I'm sure someone spiked it."
Chase notices Ellie for the first time and grins at her. "Not everyone's dressed festively. But we could always switch shirts if you wanted."
Bentley "Not yet, apparently," he says to Kerri, joining this conversation for the sole reason that he doesn't want to hover around awkwardly anymore.
Parkeṛ snorts at Kieran and moves closer to Blue and Rosie. "Can we get in on this or are boys not allowed?"
Blue "Boys can get drunk once we get drunk." Blue blows an air kiss at Parker. "But maybe if you ask Rosie real nice she'll make an exception."
Elliot "Oh no, couldn't take your sweater from you, you seem so happy to be wearing it."
Caspar "Yeah, I don't think there was a dress code." He said on time
Elliot: omg
Parkeṛ bats his eyelashes at Rosie. "Can the boys get in on this before you're plastered?"
,Rosie uses her teeth to unscrew the lid on the tequila as well even though she has an available hand. "Well you all know boys are my soft spot. Love 'em." She snickers.
,Alec tilts their head. "How so?"
Kieran watches Parker, silently cheering him on.
Jesse is still looking at Mal. "It's been nice so far."
Cyrus arrives again, but this time with that goods hidden away. He weaves his way through the crowd and made his way to the eggnog. He spikes the eggnog.
Macey is satisfied with the amount of pictures and takes her phone back from Avery. "Thank youuu. Oh god, is that Rosie in the big feather boa? Did she just pull a bottle out of her shirt? I'm..." She shakes her head, "I need food. Anyone else need food? She looks between Brent and Avery.
Cyrus: ((((my a+ roleplaying)))))
Chase shakes his head and clicks his tongue. "Please. It might be better for me if you wore it so I could actually see it."
Casey puts a hand on his head. "It's like—hm. It's kind of like super speed, except everything just moves really slow for me."
Malia hums. "Yeah, I'm having fun so far."
Bentley sees that Cyrus has returned and makes a face into his cup.
Victoria spots Cyrus, eyeing him suspiciously. "I'm glad. Man, I wish I brought some alcohol."
Brent follows Macey's gaze and chuckles. "If there's something vegan over there, sure. But there probably isn't so I'm fine."
Elliot "I mean, I guess if you're okay wearing this old thing," she said, pulling at her red sweater."
Malia also notices Cyrus and points to him. "Looks like he's granting your wish."
Avery "Oh! That reminds me!" She said before opening her bag and grabbing out a bag full of vegan cookies she made. "I made them for you because I always make myself gluten free when I go to these parties," she said handing him the bag. "I figured they'd have none."
Chase nods. "I mean, I could always," he causes green stripes to appear on the sweater and then tilts his head. "Too Freddy Krueger?" He brightens the color and then nods.
Elliot laughed. "I will never get used to that, I swear."
Chase grins. "I could probably actually do a pattern there but it'd take longer and might not last as long if I'm not concentrating."
Elliot "It's really fine Chase, don't worry about it," Ellie replied.
Elliot "I'm not exactly really into the holidays so it's okay."
Brent looks incredibly surprised and his face lights up. "Wow... wow, Avery, thank you so much."
Chase nods and shrugs one shoulder. "Aight."
Macey looks at the cookies Avery brought and feels unusually embarrassed that she didn't even think of that before the party. But, she smiles instead, "Perfect! Food for everybody. I'll be right back, then." She heads over to the snacks and grabs a couple of the cookies Lulu made and a cup of eggnog.
L moves back to the drinks to get herself a cup of eggnog and then returns to the group. "I'm gonna leave hot chocolate in the suggestion box for the next party." She smirks and takes a sip of her drink before making a face.
Avery "It's no problem," she replied. "Seriously Brent, don't get so soft." She watched Macey walk over. "I should, um, probably leave you two to have fun. I'm being you're serious third wheel."
Victoria "Thank fucking God."
Jesse looks over at Cyrus, then back at Victoria and Malia. "Either of you want some?"
Victoria "Always," Victoria replied.
,Rosie raises her eyebrows at L when she sees her drink the eggnog, but doesn't say anything for once.
Malia sees Parker in close vicinity of the eggnog, and nods after some hesitation. "Can you get me some?"
,Alec "That is so cool," they exclaim. "So like, if someone threw something at you you would be able to catch it because it could move real slow?"
Casey grins. "Yeah, that's exactly it."
L shakes her head at Rosie and wrinkles her nose.
Jesse "Of course." He looks to Victoria. "I can get you some too while I'm over there?"
,Rosie licks the back of her hand then takes a swig of the tequila.
,Alec "So to everyone else would it look like you're moving super fast? Or would you be moving normal speed with more time to think about what you're doing?"
Kieran approaches Rosie. "Mind if I have a bit of that?"
Casey "The second one. That's why it kind of looks like nothing is happening."
,Rosie wrinkles her nose at the taste and wipes her mouth with the back of her hand. She shrugs one shoulder and holds the bottle out to Kieran. "Also have rum. If anyone wants that."
Blue stares at Kieran as she drinks more vodka. "You're being very nice to boys today, Rosie."
Victoria "That'd be great thanks," she replied with a smile at Jesse. She then turned toward malia. "So how long have you two been together?"
Kerri "Wow, you come very prepared Rosie," Kerri said.
,Rosie "I know! It must be an off day." She hears what Kerri says but figures it's an obvious statement and doesn't bother responding.
Kieran accepts the bottle and smiles at Blue. "I'm a very nice boy." He takes a swig of the tequila.
,Alec "I think I get it! That's neat. Do you normally have good reflexes or do you just always cheat? Not that using your powers is cheating, but you know what I mean. It's like, sometimes something happens and I don't know if it's just normal luck or special luck."
Jesse nods and heads over to the eggnog to fill up two cups.
Blue "Mhmm." She looks to L. "How's the eggnog?"
Malia "Um, since like July officially but we were kind of seeing each other a little before that."
Casey laughs. "I guess I cheat. I mean, it happens by itself usually. It's like reflexes, I can't really make it not happen. Although sometimes it just turns on for hours and the whole day just takes forever to pass."
Parkeṛ looks at Kieran and then back at Rosie. "Wow!"
L shrugs and takes another sip of it. "I think it's alcoholic."
,Rosie clicks her tongue and winks at Parker. "Want some wine, Valentine? I don't have any but that rhymes. Here." She pulls the small bottle of rum out and holds it out to Parker. "Since apparently I'm being nice to boys today."
Victoria "That sounds nice, you guys are really cute together."
Blue "That's probably the rum, yeah," she says with a chuckle. "Since we're already drinking wanna get shitfaced?"
,Alec "Oh wow!" They look around. "Who do you think has the coolest powers here?"
Kieran winces as the alcohol goes down, but laughs at Parker's exclamation. "See, I drink more than beer."
Casey "Oh, huh, I don't know. I don't really know anyone else's powers. Do you?"
Parkeṛ takes the rum and uncaps it. "Beautiful. My lucky day." He takes a swig, swallows hard and looks as if he might be ill for a moment before he looks back at Kieran and laughs. "This your first time?"
,Rosie snaps her fingers and points at Blue. "That's a plan."
Kerri "I feel like I should start taking bets from everyone with you guys."
,Alec "Nope!" They pop the 'p' in the word. "Are you drinking tonight?"
L presses her lips together. "Maybe. I'm not going as fast as you guys though." She takes another small sip and smiles at Kerri.
Casey "Maybe, if a drink appears in my hand, yeah."
,Rosie slings an arm around L. "We should all get shittered and have a sleepover or something! Play some games! Rob a bank!"
Kieran "No!" He feigns offense. "It's not the first."
L smiles slowly at Rosie. "I had to steal a car once."
Blue "Fuck yes, girl! Tell me that story, please."
Parkeṛ looks at the rum as if contemplating taking another swig, then grins wider. "Second?"
,Alec sighs. "Yeah. Same. You know how you can use alcohol in cooking? Does that mean it's possible to make alcoholic food? Or is it like, never enough to actually get someone drunk."
Jesse returns to Victoria and Malia with a cup in each hand.
Macey is still at the snacks, eavesdropping. She takes a sip of the eggnog, frowns at it, throws it away.
Kieran takes another swig and grins. "Third, now."
L presses a hand to her cheek. "It wasn't on purpose, but me and Amber were stuck in Las Vegas and the camp car got towed and there were monsters and stuff," she nods. "So we took the first car and Amber went all zappy and started it and then we were out of there."
Parkeṛ laughs before taking a rather large sip of the rum. He forces it down, exhales for a long time, and then laughs again. "You're getting fucked up tonight, then."
,Rosie throws her hands in the air. "Let's all get fucked up tonight!"
Malia "Thanks," she says to Victoria, a little late. Her eyes were on her brothers sharing drinks and only when Jesse returns does she look away. "You're the best," she says, kissing him briefly on the lips. "I'm going to step outside for a minute and get some air. Save some of this for me."
L laughs. "I'm not stealing anymore though."
Kerri "I guess maybe that's my time to leave," she said, and turned to Parker. "I'll um, see you later."
Jesse smiles at Mal and nods, turning to face Victoria. He accidentally glances over at Parker in the process and hesitates, before looking back at Mal. "Actually, I'm feeling a little warm too, I might go with you."
,Rosie squints at Kerri. "Where you going?"
Kieran "I hope. If I don't die first," he jokes, holding out the tequila for someone to take.
,Rosie takes the tequila.
Victoria "Thanks," she said to Jesse for the cup of eggnog totally on time. "Uh, okay, have fun you two, don't get too crazy."
Parkeṛ turns to Kerri. "Y'sure?" He holds the rum out to her and raises his eyebrows.
Blue takes the tequila from Rosie.
Blue "Thanks, cutie," she says, taking a shot and handing it back to her.
Macey finds that eavesdropping just turns her embarrassment into irritation and heads back over to Brent, only finding Avery gone. She tries really hard to not act off in any way, "Where'd she go?"
Kerri "I'm just going to go back to my cabin," she replied. "I just, I don't drink."
Parkeṛ "Ah, okay." He nods, holding the bottle out for someone else to take now. "You good?"
,Rosie rolls her eyes at Kerri and takes the bottle back from Blue. She licks the back of her other hand and then takes a shot. "You betcha."
Casey "I'm pretty sure it evaporates when it gets hot, so you don't actually get drunk."
L takes the bottle from Parker hesitantly and adds the smallest amount to her drink before holding it out for someone else.
Malia hesitates, then nods. "Okay." She takes a sip of the eggnog then hands it back to Jesse. "Let me just run to the bathroom."
Kerri nodded. "Yeah, I'll um, see you tomorrow. Happy holidays guys." She said before leaving.
Parkeṛ nods and waves at Kerri as she leaves before turning back to the group.
,Rosie takes the bottle from L so she now has one in each hand.
,Alec chews his lip and takes the cup. "Okay, um, can we go outside for a few seconds first?"
,Alec: no
Jesse chews his lip and takes the cup. "Okay, um, can we go outside for a few seconds first?"
,Alec "Hm. Think if it was like, something you don't cook it would get you drunk? But then that would be kind of gross."
Brent notices her change in mood but doesn't comment on it yet. He wraps his arms around her. "She wanted to give us some alone time," he says, smiling at her.
Malia looks a little confused but nods. "Okay... Sure."
Casey "I guess so," he laughs. "And yeah, I think it would be gross."
,Alec "Want to try and find a drink somewhere?"
Jesse looks down at the cup and then nods and smiles at her. "Sorry. Just, uh, yeah. Let's get some air first."
Casey grins. "Yes, please."
Macey "Oh." She nods, a little confused as to why she'd leave them already. She brushes it off, "Well, the eggnog's a bust. Someone—in my family I'm assuming, Rosie is like, pulling bottles outta her bra, I don’t even know—put rum in it."
Malia takes Jesse's hand and walks outside with him.
Malia takes Jesse's hand and walks outside with him.
Kieran feels the alcohol buzzing in his brain. "Okay, this is different."
,Rosie takes a shot of tequila and then a shot of rum, then pulls a disgusted face.
,Alec "Cool!" They look around. "I heard someone saying the eggnog was spiked, if you want that. Or it looks like the people by the snacks have some drinks."
Parkeṛ grins widely and holds his hand out for one of Rosie's bottles. "Different than beer?"
L keeps drinking her eggnog in short sips.
Jesse takes a sip from the cup as they're walking. He's quiet until they get outside. "Parker and I actually had a conversation the other day."
,Rosie hands him the tequila.
Kieran turns red in the face and laughs. "Yeah, shut up, okay?"
Brent frowns. "Is this like a we should keep an eye on her situation?"
Malia doesn't respond to this confession except for taking the cup and drinking from it. She wipes the corner of her mouth. "I guess I shouldn't be surprised."
Jesse rubs the back of his neck when Mal takes the cup. "Yeah, he, uh, wanted me to talk to you."
Parkeṛ smiles even wider and brings the bottle to his lips before dropping it again, expression more serious. "Do you need to do a shot?"
Casey spies the eggnog, feeling unsure about its viscosity. "Is eggnog good? I've never had it."
,Alec "Me neither! I think it's like, milk on steroids or something."
Kieran eyes the bottle. Tempted by the idea, he holds his hand out. "Yeah, hit me."
Parkeṛ can't help but laugh. "I meant of insulin."
Malia laughs humorlessly at her feet. "I reeeaally shouldn't be surprised. Did he give you a hard time?"
Jesse looks down as well. "Not really. He was just worried."
Macey waves her hand dismissively and leans against him, "No, she'll be fine. It's more of a 'I'm not surprised' situation."
,Rosie does another shot of rum and sways for a moment, then grins and points at Kieran. "Do a shot of the tequila first!"
Kieran "Oh." He laughs loudly, clapping his hands together. He looks at Rosie and replies, "I don't know if I should."
Casey "Are there actual eggs in it?"
Malia frowns. "He just doesn't want to be wrong, ever. I'm not... I can handle myself."
Parkeṛ raises his eyebrows. "Are you supposed to?" He takes a sip of tequila, figuring he can be responsible and feeling the alcohol at the same time.
Kieran "Um..." He looks around the room for the answer. "I should probably eat something first."
Blue holds out the bowl of popcorn. "Chow down, lover boy."
Parkeṛ nods towards the table. "We are still at the food table."
L has been drinking a lot slower than everyone else but steadily and rocks back and forth on her toes, watching everyone.
Brent nods. "Okay." He pecks her on the lips. "You okay?"
,Rosie grins widely at L.
,Alec presses a hand to the side of their face. "I don't know! Maybe it's just in the name. I mean, in French apparently it's chicken milk and I don't think it's made by milking chickens."
Kieran waves a hand dismissively. "I'll check my levels in a while. I'll be fine for now."
Parkeṛ "Y'sure?" He looks down at his bottle again.
Jesse "I know you can handle yourself, but that- that doesn't mean you can't accept help sometimes too." He runs a hand through his hair. "Parker wants the best for you."
Kieran smiles at Parker. "Yeah, I'll be fine."
L feels a smile spread slowly across her face back at Rosie. "I'm a nurse," she decides to inform the group, "kind of a little."
Casey "In Korea we have this tea that you drink with an egg yolk. I've never had it but my grandma has." Casey shrugs. "So I guess people do it."
Malia snorts. "Jesse, Parker doesn't like either of us. He's not going to forgive you for leaving camp and he hasn't forgiven me for almost leaving. I know he has this knee-jerk protective instinct but honestly? He's more mad than concerned."
Macey "Yeah." She nods, "Well, kind of." She sighs, "I don't know. Life is weird. I think I'm just stressed about stupid shit."
Jesse shakes his head. "He made me promise to- y'know, try and help. I know he doesn't like me because of– of a bunch of reasons, so that he asked at all was weird." He exhales. "Mal, I'm worried too."
,Rosie tilts her head. "What?"
,Alec hums and looks back at the eggnog. "You should try it! Since you're not vegan. Or lactose intolerant. I mean, I'm assuming you're not, but some people just like cheese so much, you know?"
L blinks at Rosie. "Like, not registered or anything fancy. But I can heal people with my hands, you know?"
,Rosie "So like, tomorrow morning can you make my hangover go away?"
Malia "Why?" she asks, maybe a little too sharply. She takes a deep breath and moves closer to Jesse, placing a hand on his chest. "I'm fine, Jesse. I'm really okay. You don't need to be worried."
Casey "Um. I don't know. It looks... Special."
Blue grins at L. "Yo, that's so fucking cool."
L frowns a bit. "I've never tried to fix that. Just cuts and burns and breaks and stuff, mostly." She smiles widely at Blue and then looks back at Rosie. "I can try to try and fix it, though."
Blue "Wait so, if I lose my temper and it shows up on someone's arm, you can make that go away? Where have you been all my life?"
L smiles even wider and laughs. "In the infirmary patching up your victims."
Jesse frowns when she's sharp and looks down at her hand, covering it with one of his own. "Why do you do it?"
,Alec wrinkles their nose. "Yeah. Come on! Let's go ask people for alcohol that isn't chicken milk."
Kieran grabs Parker's shoulder and asks, "What are you doing later?"
Parkeṛ 's eyebrows are too high up on his forehead. "Goin' back to the cabin, probably."
Kieran: ((was that necessary? idk))
Brent takes Macey's hands and walks with her to a vacant couch. "I doubt it's stupid. What're you stressed about?"
Kieran "Can we get something real to eat?"
Parkeṛ nods vigorously. "Sure thing."
Kieran sighs happily. "Perfect. Then maybe we can watch a movie. Or soccer. Remember when we watched the world cup?"
Malia shrugs lamely. "I don't know. It's fun? It takes the edge off, makes it easier to... Just makes it easier. Like, more energizing. But it's not like I need it to get through the day. It's just, easier."
Parkeṛ lets out a small laugh. "Yeah. Did you actually like that?"
Kieran laughs genuinely. "To be frank, I didn't watch very much of it."
Jesse "Would you be able to- to, uh, stop? If you tried."
Parkeṛ covers his mouth as he laughs more. "Thought so. We can watch a movie, then."
Malia takes a little long to answer. "I guess I could, yeah. But I don't want to."
Kieran offers, "We can watch a soccer movie. Remember that godawful movie Bend it Like Beckham? We could watch that."
Jesse bites his lip again and takes her hands. "Why do I not need to be worried?"
Parkeṛ snorts. "Bend it Like Beckham while drunk. I'm down."
Kieran snorts. "But am I?"
Parkeṛ "You suggested it!"
Malia "Because I'm not... I'm not an addict! I'm choosing to do it, and I could stop if I chose to."
Kieran laughs. "I know," he admits, still not landing on an answer.
,Rosie picks up one end of her boa and examines it.
L looks down at her empty cup and holds it out to Rosie tentatively. "I like your feathers. And can I have just a little bit?"
Jesse "How often do you do it?"
Macey follows him and sighs. Avoiding the topic is impossible, she knows better. "Getting older is weird. And, okay, I'm not 'old', but, me, me, threw away an entirely good cup of eggnog because I was like 'eh, I don't wanna get wasted tonight'. And then, Avery comes out with these cookies because she's the sweetest and like, the thought never even crossed my mind, and it should've. These are the stupid little things I should think of and do because you're my boyfriend and you deserve like, the whole fucking world and all I've got is a few crappy christmas presents."
Macey The tangent seems to have no connection between its ideas, but somehow, in Macey's head, it does.
,Rosie "My feathers like you too!" She pours some of the rum into L's cup.
L laughs and takes a small sip of straight rum before sticking her tongue out and shaking her head, eyes closed. "That's strong."
,Rosie grins at L. "Yep! It's just alcohol!"
Malia deflates a bit and looks at the cup in her hand. "I dunno. A few times a week?"
L shakes her head again. "I need.. something else."
,Rosie holds out her hand. "Let's get you more eggnog!"
Jesse traces circles in the palm of Mal's hand. "Do you, uh- feel like you have to? To feel good or happy."
L takes Rosie's hand, humming as she walks with her. "Just a bit, though."
,Rosie breaks into giggles. "Oh yeah, it's already got rum in it!"
L nods. "And I can't have too much." She stares at her cup. "This is so much."
,Rosie "We can split it!"
Parkeṛ "So are w'gonna watch it?"
L breaks into a wide grin. "You're right!"
Kieran rolls his eyes and grins. "Sure. Yes."
Parkeṛ laughs too hard for how not funny it is. "Cool."
,Rosie takes L's cup and pours more eggnog into it, spilling a little over the edge. She takes a swig, then holds it out for L. "Sleepover tonight, right?"
L smiles so widely her eyes close and nods. "Uh huh." She takes the cup clumsily and takes a small sip before handing it back to Rosie.
,Rosie laughs at L. "Should I finish it?"
L puffs her cheeks out. "Most, and then I'll be finished, and then I'll be done." Her voice gets unnaturally high towards the end.
Malia "No," she says and means it. "Not at all," she adds with less conviction.

chatzy | the welcome wagon
date: 8/24 characters: rosie, emily, macey, parker, blue about: Rosie and Macey attempt to make Emily feel welcome in the cabin on her first day at camp.
Rosie swings her legs back and forth. "We should put all the pillows on the floor."
Macey "Oooh, yes," she hops up and goes to retreat downstairs, "I'll go grab some from my room."
Emily "Um, why?"
Rosie gives Emily a weird look. "Um, fun? It'll be like a pillow fort without the fort!"
Macey heads back upstairs a couple minutes later, arms full of pillows, and drops them on the floor. "I grabbed as many as I could from everyone's rooms."
Rosie: whoops sorry i went to dairy queen
Rosie beams at her and starts spreading the pillows out evenly on the floor.
Emily "Fun," she says drily.
Macey shrugs and she helps Rosie, "I mean, it's more comfortable than sitting on the floor. Unless you don't mind your ass falling alseep."
Emily sighs and climbs down onto her knees so she can help them as well. "Alright, hun, I see your point."
Macey gestures to the whole loft, which is pretty simple and unfurnished at the moment. "I'll find chairs or something to put up here soon, I keep forgetting. We need to use it more."
Rosie "Yeah we do! Gotta have some big parties and shit to break it in."
Macey "We used to have like, huge-ass parties in the old loft all the time. This one needs to live up to that one's glory."
Emily "The old loft?" she asks, examining her finger nails instead of helping move the pillows around. "What happened to it?"
Rosie starts burying herself under pillows.
Rosie groans loudly.
Macey feels her smile falter at Emily's question, forgetting that not everyone knows what happened anymore. She quickly pulls it back onto her face and speaks like it's no big deal. "Ah...it got destroyed. But it's all rebuilt now. You would have hated it, it was all like, bunk beds in one huge room. No privacy. It was so awful. Rosie would take my shit all the time, not like she doesn't still do that but, at least now I have a door." Macey throws a pillow at her when she groans.
Emily twists a piece of her hair around her finger. "That sucks," she says. "Take your shit? Isn't that mean?"
Rosie snorts now.
Macey shakes her head, "Nah, I can't get too mad, I just have the cutest stuff that everyone wants to borrow," She jokingly flips her hair, "Ain't that right, Rosie?"
Rosie "Right as rain," she says cheerfully, sitting up.
Emily "Sure, sweetie," she says with a half smile. "So how long do I have to stay at this cabin?"
Macey "Until your parent claims you, which," She shakes her head again, furrowing her eyebrows, "sounds fucking bizarre, I'm sorry. It's just since we don't know outright which Greek God is your parent, we can't put you in a specific cabin yet. I don't know how they decide when to claim someone, but it's different for everyone and when it happens, you'll know."
Emily shakes her head slowly. "This is crazy."
Rosie "Yep," she agrees readily. "It's all just an elaborate prank."
Macey gives an apologetic smile and stops fiddling with the pillows to scoot over near Emily. "I know. I'm sorry. It's like, so much to take in."
,Parker doesn't actually bother knocking before he walks into the cabin. "Hey! Rosie?"
Emily looks up at the ceiling. "So I just have to wait around and hope whoever my parent is will decide they want to acknowledge me?"
Rosie hears her name and scoots along to the stairs. "Up in the loft!" she yells back.
Macey purses her lips together, because Emily's not wrong, that's just the really blunt way of putting it. "I'll be honest, our parents are...kind of not the best...to be really honest, a lot of them are assholes. Which sucks. But, whoever your family winds up to be, at least everyone really loves their siblings and that makes up for it."
,Parker heads to the stairs and raises a hand in greeting at Rosie. "It was probably dumb to come here instead of the kitchen, but this was closer. Is Amber up there with you?"
Macey looks over and waves at Parker.
,Parker waves back at Macey and flashes a smile.
Emily "Aren't there people who–" She stops when Parker appears, her frustrated expression dissolving into a sugary smile.
Rosie squints at Parker. "What?"
,Parker raises his eyebrows. "Like, is she here?" He cranes his neck to look over Rosie. "I'm assuming no?"
Macey looks back at Emily again, "People who what?"
Rosie "Oh! Amber," she says, realizing now who Parker means. "Nah. Saw her with someone else. But stay here! Meet our new cabinmate!"
Emily "People who don't have any siblings," she finishes, looking back at Macey. "The girl who showed me around camp told me some cabins only have like one person."
Blue busts in with chips and speakers. "Yo! Rosie invited me to a welcoming party?" She scanned the crowd for a new face, then winked at Emily. "Welcome."
,Parker gives Rosie a weird look before shrugging and nodding. "Alright. Are you gonna haze her or did Macey veto that?"
Macey nods, "Yeah, there are a couple, but not too many. Like, maybe 2 or 3 people. And if that's the case you just have the cabin to yourself until someone else shows up." She waves again at Blue and turns to Parker when she hears her name, "We're not hazing anyone, I have no idea what we're talking about, but yeah, I'm vetoing it."
Rosie rolls her eyes when Macey says she's vetoing it, and then winks at Parker and presses a finger to her lips. When Blue bursts in, Rosie grins and claps her hands together. "Blue! Come sit and meet the temporary Hermes sis!"
Emily smiles at Blue. "I'm Emily."
,Parker grins widely and takes a seat. "You spend too much time with Brent."
Blue tosses the chips on the nearest bed and pushes through the crowd to sit with Rosie. "Nice to meet ya, Emily. Where can I set this baby up? I'm blessing this shindig with music."
Rosie "Agreed!" Rosie snaps at Parker, and then sits up. "Is it wireless or do you need an outlet?" she asks Blue.
Macey
gives a cheesy grin, "I'm doing a pretty good imitation of him right now, huh?"
Emily watching Blue for a few more seconds and then looks back at Parker. "And what's your name?"
,Parker smiles at Macey and Rosie before turning his attention to Emily. "Parker. And a word of advice in this cabin, tie your stuff down."
Blue "Who do you think I am? Wireless, of course."
Rosie laughs and shoves a few pillows aside. "Right here!"
Emily twirls her hair around her finger again. "Thanks, hun, I've heard." She glances at Rosie.
,Parker lets out a small laugh. "So where're you from?"
Blue puts the speaker down, presses a few buttons, and soon music starts to play.
Emily "Seattle," she chirps, crossing her legs and resting her elbows on her knees. "It was pretty scary coming all the way here!"
Macey "Damn, that's a long trip! Did you fly here?"
Rosie gives an approving nod at the music choice, then stretches her leg out to nudge Macey with her foot. She looks over at Blue. "I might've exaggerated the party, or like, the fact it would be a party and not some family barbecue shit."
,Parker nods along with Macey. "How long did it take you?"
Blue "Listen, any excuse to come over and listen to some beats, and I'm there."
Emily "Like, six hours," she says to Parker.
Rosie grins as she watches Emily twirl her hair. "The Hermes cabin is the best cabin anyway," she says.
Blue "I might have to begrudgingly agree there," she chimes in.
,Parker nods more. "Damn. Was it a satyr that brought you here or what?" He looks up at Blue and Rosie. "It's alright. Nice to see the loft up and running again."
Macey looks around at the pillows. "We still need chairs though. And beanbag seats. And like, a tv. And cute sparkly lights. Basically everything."
Rosie smiles widely at Blue, then looks back at Parker. "The people are what make it the best cabin! Your girlfriend hangs out here enough, you should agree."
Emily "Are those those goat things?"
,Parker "Rosie probably has half of those in her room," he laughs before rolling his eyes at Rosie and looking back at Emily. "Yeah."
Rosie "True," she says cheerfully. "My room is filled with many chairs."
Macey "And I have no idea why, honestly."
Emily "Huh." She chews her lip. "Yeah, one of those goat things- satyrs?- brought me here."
Rosie "Chairs do not have to have a reason."
,Parker "Yeah, satyrs. They're kinda a pain in the ass. Lucky that you got to fly, though. Normally they're all about road trips cause flying freaks some of them out."
Emily "God, if I had been stuck in a car with him that long I would have gone crazy." She rolled her eyes, then smiled at him again. "So who's your– parent? Is that the right was to ask?"
,Parker laughs. "Gods, I understand." He nods. "Yeah, that was fine. You could also ask people what cabin they're in, but either way they don't seem to mind. My mom's Aphrodite."
Emily "Which one's she?"
,Parker "Love and beauty. I'm surprised you couldn't tell," he laughs.
Blue "Wooow, way to toot your own horn, pretty-boy."
Emily giggles. "Maybe if I had to guess."
,Parker winks at Blue. "Always!"

chatzy | paranoia
date: 8/20-8/22 characters: pretty much everyone tbh about: Everyone heads to the campfire with snacks, Rosie and Macey turn it into a game of paranoia. Awkward questions ensue. (also I didn’t get the entire thing from start to finish, but it’s most of it, I apologize)
Jesse takes a bite of his cookie, then nods, still looking at Mal so he won't stare at Amber. "It's good!"
Macey wiggles off her sandal and hands it to Rosie. "We're playing Paranoia right?"
Amber beams at Mal, then Chase, and then Jesse. "Wow, thanks you guys!" Once she recovers from their compliment, she glances back toward Rosie and realizes she hasn't had the chance to give her one yet. She addresses the three of them again. "You going to play? There's a game starting!"
Parker laughs again and sighs wistfully. "I'm sorry to say that there are no hot tubs here."
Theo had been distracted by Letty, both of them off to the side of everyone. Letty was currently on snapchat, using the filters on both of them, but mostly him, cooing over how he looked with the flower crown and puppy filter. Before she could take it a step further, though, he notices everyone starting to gather closer together and he nudges Letty some. "I think they're gonna play a game," he says, taking her hand and pulling her towards everyone.
Malia is busy chewing but nods at the prospect of a game.
Rosie "Pa-ra-noi-a," she agrees, splitting the word up. "Fun fun." She takes the sandal and looks around to see if she's missed anyone.
Nicolette was busy making kissy faces with the puppy filter on herself glancing up at Teddy when he started to drag her away, "A game? Like spin the bottle? That be fun."
Jesse looks between Chase and Mal, still avoiding looking at Amber. "Uh– I'll play if you two are?"
Brent finds a spot next to Macey, then decides to save room by placing his girlfriend in his lap. "What are we doing?"
Chase shakes his head before shoving his hand with his bottle towards Amber. "Uh, for the cookies, if you want." He takes another bite of the cookie. He shrugs at Jesse.
Theo "No it wouldn't," he muttered, catching the name just before they got to the circle. "Paranoia, apparently."
Viv squints playfully at Parker. "Don't tempt me, you. I can always work something out."
Declan sat a little behind Macey as everyone talked among themselves about the game, spotting Lux and waved her over, "Hurry up gods."
Nicolette giggled at his words, squeezing his hand and pressing closer to his arm as they approached everyone else, "Never heard of it, sounds interesting."
Harleen lets the boy drag her towards where everyone is playing the game, smiling widely at him once he introduced himself. "Harleen," she says, tilting her head some and motioning to the circle. "Find us a spot?"
Malia "Yes, you two are playing." Mal says happily (but firmly), grabbing each of their hands. "It'll be fun, I promise." She also included an unspoken promise that she'd make it hell for anyone who tried to give them shit.
Amber shakes her head at Chase's offer. "Oh, thank you, but I think I'll pass tonight. Maybe after I hand out some more cookies." She smiles widely at him again and then, as Mal makes the decision for them, she moves toward the group as well.
Macey settles herself into her new seat and points and flexes her bare foot, "That game where you whisper a question and toss the shoe." She grins, "You have full permission to embarrass me because I totally did that to you the last time."
Lux rolled her eyes at Declan's impatience, smacking his hand some once she was close enough, before letting him tug her down. "Don't rush me."
Parker grins. "I'm tempted to tempt you just to see what exactly you can make happen."
Jesse relaxes more when Mal grabs his hand. "Alright," he agrees easily, actually focusing on her this time. "Let's play."
Quentin nodded his head, looking out for where L had gone and dragged Harleen off in that direction, "I don't know what this game is at all."
Chase presses his lips together but follows.
Theo hums at the explanation of the game, looking over at Letty. "Simple enough, yeah?" He smiles, moving to sit down and tugging her down with him.
Blue is also playing this game
Declan smiled happily, getting Lux sitting in his lap and wrapped his arms around her waist, "I'll do what I want." He muttered as he placed a kiss to the back of her shoulder.
Rosie wrinkles her nose as she looks between Parker and Viv again, and then gets to her feet. "Who doesn't know how to play?" she asks loudly, speaking generally. to everyone.
Brent "I'll keep that in mind," he murmured into her ear.
Viv winks at Parker again. "Maybe later." Looking up at Rosie when she speaks up, she eats another pretzel.
Harleen "Oh it's simple," she hums, remembering the game from a few parties back home. "Ask a question to the person beside you where no one else can hear. Face up, you have to say your question out loud, face down, you don't, and all anyone will know is your answer."
Blue raises her hand. "I could use a refresher, thank youuuu."
Nicolette nods a bit at the instructions of the game, not completely understanding why a shoe was involved but doesn't think too much about it as she sits next to Theo, resting her elbow on his thigh and leaning into him.
Quentin nodded his head some, "Ah okay," He laughed keeping Harleen's hand in his as he gestured for her to sit, helping her down before taking his spot beside her.
Rosie snaps finger guns at Blue and explains the game loudly for anyone who didn't hear it from someone else.
Blue blows kisses at Rosie.
Amber finds her way over to Parker. She speaks quietly so that she doesn't distract from those explaining the game. "Want a cookie?"
Lux laughs, shaking her head. "No, you won't," she teases, leaning back against him and waiting for the game to start, idly playing with his fingers.
Parker smiles widely at Amber and pats the spot next to him. "Of course. Did you make them?"
Theo toys with the ends of Letty's hair, tugging and twisting it around his fingers as he listens to a more detailed explanation of the game.
Amber sits next to Parker and then leans up to press a kiss to his cheek before replying. "Actually, no! It's crazy! An elf made them and then threw them at me as I walked here! I am still trembling." She picks up one of the cookies from where the bag is sitting on her lap and offers it to Parker.
Macey claps her hands after Rosie’s done explaining, "Okay, so are we all good? Everyone knows what we're doing?"
Parker grins at Amber. "An elf? Gods, how do we know they aren't poisoned?" He picks a cookie from the bag.
Rosie sticks her hand in the air. "I'll start!"
Macey smiles and motions to her show in her sister's hand, "Go for it Rosie."
Rosie makes a gesture for Viv to lean in closer. "I gotta whisper it!"
Viv puts her pretzel bag down and leans close to Rosie.
Rosie "If you could pick three people here to fight, right now, like, full on, who would they be?"
Viv asked Chatzy to choose between face up and face down. Chatzy chose: face up.
Viv answers casually once she sees how the sandal has landed. "Chase, Jesse, and..." She looks around the group for a moment, weighing out her options. "Brent."
Jesse can tell she isn't saying his name for something good, and flushes.
Chase can guess the question once he hears his name.
Rosie tilts her head. "Brent?" she asks curiously, and then looks at the sandal. "I asked who she'd fight!" she says in a chipper voice.
Macey "You could kick his ass probably." She nods and glances up at Brent.
Brent laughs once he hears the question. "Anytime, Viv."
Rosie nods in agreement with Macey.
Viv grins at Brent. "It's nothing personal–– just for training." She winks at Macey.
Viv cracks her knuckles and looks at Blue. "You ready?"
Brent returns the grin, glad to keep her focus off of the other two she mentioned. "You're on."
Blue "Always, cutiepants." Blue waggles her eyebrows at Viv.
Rosie remembers her marshmallows and moves onto the ground so she's close enough to start toasting them.
Viv smirks. "Come here, you." She leans close to Blue and whispers her question. "If you were going to, like, slather someone from the group here in melted chocolate and lick it off, who would your top three choices be?" She leans back with her brows raised in intrigue.
Amber clicks her tongue. "It's a gamble, I know. But, for cookies, this is a risk I will take." She replies totally on time. Super on time.
Blue laughs out loud. "Oh shit, what the fuck, that's such a weird question."
Blue asked Chatzy to choose between face up and face down. Chatzy chose: face up
Lux sighs heavily, adjusting herself on Declan's lap and gripping his jaw, scrunching her nose when his gaze meets hers and letting out a soft laugh as she squished his cheeks.
Parker nods and takes a bite. "Judging by the number of cookies I see around me, it's a risk the whole camp is taking."
Viv smiles innocently. "Hey, I just ask what everyone else is wondering, deep, deep down."
Blue scans the crowd, tapping her finger on her lip. "Hmmmm, I'd say... Letty.... Rosie, and... you," she says, winking at Viv.
Rosie looks pleased even though she doesn't know the question.
Nicolette perked up at the mention of her name from Blue's mouth, smiling over at the girl.
Declan made a face when he felt Lux's hand on his face, lifting his hand to swat her's away and leaning in to kiss, still in his own little world with just her as the game went on.
Macey "What'd you ask her?"
Harleen inspects her nails, her mind wandering off as she waited for her turn.
Viv laughs and then blows her a little kiss. "Anytime, babe." She looks at the sandal and then at Macey. "Who she'd pick from the group to lick melted chocolate off of." She says this like it is a completely standard kind of question.
Rosie pretends to fan herself. "Aw."
Macey laughs because that's a great question.
Nicolette let out a girlish laugh when Viv announced the question Blue had been asked, "I'd let you anytime sweetheart." She teased playfully, leaning back into Theo's shoulder.
Rosie snaps her fingers at Blue again. "Your turn!”.
Parker scoots closer to Blue.
Theo resists the urge to roll his eyes at Lett's eagerness.
Blue grins and winks at Letty, then turns to Parker. "Three people here that you'd get a tattoo of their face, and where."
Parker asked Chatzy to choose between face up and face down. Chatzy chose: face up
Parker smiles. "Alright. You, obviously. On my face, obviously." He purses his lips and looks around the circle. "Then Amber and Viv, also on my face. Not on different parts of my face, but all overlapping."
Rosie squints at Parker.
Macey makes a weird face because that could mean so many things and nothing she can come up with is pleasant.
Amber blinks up at Parker with a small, confused smile.
Parker realizes how that sounded and breathes a sigh of relief when the shoe lands face up.
Blue snorts. "Beautiful." She addressed the group. "I asked him which three people he'd get a face tattoo of, and where on his body. Parker has some interesting aesthetic preferences."
Jesse laughs quietly at the question, and wraps an arm around Malia.
Viv laughs and then grins at Parker. "Sweet. When should we book the appointment for?"
Blue points at Viv in agreement. "Let's do it next weekend. I'll call my guy."
Parker grins at Viv and Blue. "I'm free all day Saturday." He moves closer to Amber and cups his hands around his mouth so that he can whisper to her. "Two people you would wanna be locked in a closet with for ten hours."
Amber asked Chatzy to choose between face up and face down. Chatzy chose: face down
Amber licks her lips and nods. "Okay...okay, yeah!" She glances around at the group and her cheeks flush slightly. "Rosie, for countless hours of entertainment, and...you!"
Rosie claps her hands together even though she doesn't know the question. "Yay!"
Malia leans a little into Jesse.
Parker smiles broadly and kisses her cheek before winking at Rosie.
Amber grins at both Rosie and Parker before realizing it's her turn. "Oh!" She scoots closer to Letty.
Nicolette perked up when she realized it was Amber's turn to ask her a question, leaning over to be closer to the girl and wait for her to ask.
Macey curls up into Brent a little bit to get more comfortable.
Amber narrows her eyes in thought before whispering her question to Letty. "If you were omnipotent for one day, what would be the first three things that you would do?"
Nicolette asked Chatzy to choose between up and down. Chatzy chose: up
Nicolette furrowed her brows in thought, thinking it over before smiling, "See how long I could have sex uh, rob a bank, and mess with Theo all day without him knowing it was me."
Jesse presses a kiss to the top of Mal's head as he listens to the game go on.
Viv nods in agreement, without even knowing what the question was.
Rosie doesn't know the question but decides that Letty is a wise person.
Amber laughs and nods. "I see, I see. Interesting choices." She looks at the group, still smiling. "I asked what the first three things she would do if she were omnipotent for a day!"
Chase moves away from Mal and Jesse a bit to give them space.
Nicolette shrugged a shoulder, smiley and humming some, "It's my turn to ask right?" She asked everyone, before glancing over at Theo, waiting for him to lean in.
Amber nods, and then settles back against Parker to watch Letty ask Theo a mystery question.
Theo raises an eyebrow at Letty, shaking his head with a laugh. "I don't see how that would make a difference. You already mess with me all day," he points out, though he leans in for her turn.
Nicolette laughs and shrugs, "Yeah but you wouldn't know it was me!" She chirped, cupping her hands around his ear after she thought of her question, "Who are the three people you'd have sex with before anyone else?"
Theo asked Chatzy to choose between face down and face up. Chatzy chose: face up
Theo wrinkles his nose at the question, almost shaking his head before he sighs. "Uh... Brent, Macey... I don't know. You," he finishes, ignoring the heat crawling up his neck, knowing that if he even looked at Letty right now he would turn entirely red.
Nicolette grinned at his answer, leaning over and kissing his cheek before pinching it, "That's what I like to hear!"
Nicolette turned to everyone else smiling happily, "I asked him what three people he'd sleep with before anyone else."
Macey beams. "I like you, good answer, I concur."
[skip because i forgot a chunk, sorry guys]
Rosie accidentally sets three of her marshmallows on fire.
Malia places a hand on Jesse's knew and leans in very close to whisper into his ear. "Which three people here would you trust the most to pick outfits for you for the next month?"
Macey "Man down." Macey gasps at the incinerated marshmallows.
Cháse grins at Rosie and her flaming marshmallows.
Jesse smiles at her. "Well, you, obviously. And then..." He looks around the campfire. "Uh, Chase, and maybe Macey?"
Rosie starts waving them around to try and put them out.
Macey laughs. "Oh my god, Rosie, blow on them. What are you doing?"
Rosie blows so hard on the marshmallows she feels lightheaded. "Sweet! They're all burnt!"
Cháse covers his mouth as he laughs.
Macey motions to the shoe because she wants to know what Jesse chose her for.
Jesse asked Chatzy to choose between up and down. Chatzy chose: down
Jesse looks between the shoe and Macey and gives her a sheepish smile.
Macey "Damn."
Jesse looks over at Chase, and then withdraws his arm from around Malia so he can lean far enough over to whisper his question. "If you were gonna swap bodies with someone here, who'd it be?"
Cháse looks up as he thinks. "Rosie, probably."
Cháse asked Chatzy to choose between up and down. Chatzy chose: up
Jesse coughs. "Oh, I, uh, asked who he'd swap bodies with if he had to."
Rosie "Ooh!" She grins at Chase and flips her hair with her free hand. "I'd swap bodies with me too."
Cháse leans over towards Brent. "Uh, the person here most likely to total a car?"
Brent chuckles. "I'm not sure, but I think I've got to go with... Rosie."
Brent asked Chatzy to choose between face up and face down. Chatzy chose: face up
Rosie claps. "I'm so popular tonight!"
Cháse smirks. "I asked who'd be most likely to total a car."
Macey laughs.
Rosie doesn't look put out at all. "Probably true!"
Macey jokingly reaches up and pats the side of Brent's face, "Alright, you don't have to go easy on me. I can handle it."
Brent turns to Macey. "Are you ready?"
Macey looks up at him, "As ready as I'll ever be."
Brent whispers to her, "On a scale of 1 to 10, how kinky are you in bed?"
Macey raises her eyebrows, a little surprised, a little proud that he asked such a daring question, and a lot embarrassed that she has to answer. "I wanna know what you think this answer is, first. Since, you're kinda asking a question you already know."
Brent grins. "I wanna hear it from the lady in question," he shot back.
Rosie snorts. "I can guess what the question is."
Párker grins at the three of them.
Macey sighs. She can feel her face getting the tiniest bit red, but still acts fairly relaxed, leaning back against Brent and resting a hand on his leg. She takes a moment to honestly think. "I mean, I've never thought of it that way, but...shit, I don't know, a 6?" She looks up at him, as if she needed assurance that she was right, "Like, a little bit above average, but not, like, crazy, at all."
Macey asked Chatzy to choose between face down and face up. Chatzy chose: face down
Jesse is relieved he didn't have to hear the question.
Brent shrugs. "You're above average in pretty much everything." He kisses her on the cheek. "Anyway, thank the gods I don't need to repeat that to the group."
Rosie "Thank the gods," she repeats cheerfully.
Macey is so relieved that she actually laughs at his response. "Honestly, your face having to admit it would've been worth it. Anyways," She leans over to her sister and whispers, "You have to kick someone in camp off a cliff. Who do you pick?"
Rosie strokes an imaginary beard. "Maybe Parker."
Rosie asked Chatzy to choose between up and down. Chatzy chose: down
Macey nods.
Párker tilts his head and frowns at the flip flop.
Rosie smiles brightly at Parker.
Párker rolls his eyes and leans towards her so she can ask him a question.
Rosie "How long have you liked Vivaracha?"
Párker frowns at Rosie for a moment. "Who? Oh." He runs a hand through his hair. "Oh, like, months, I guess."
Párker asked Chatzy to choose between up and down. Chatzy chose: down
Cháse assumes that parker has had a rash for months
Malia assumes the same thing
Párker leans over to Blue. "You can save everyone except one person here from drowning. Who goes down with the ship?"
Blue doesn't even hesitate. "Chase."
Blue asked Chatzy to choose between face up and face down. Chatzy chose: face down
Cháse knows the question is about someone dying or being mutilated.
Jesse pats Chase's shoulder.
Blue looks at the face down shoe. "I had to pick who here would drown, by the way." She smiles and turns to L. "Who here is the lucky winner that you would undress with your teeth?"
Cháse nods to himself.
Malia reaches around Jesse to squeeze Chase's hand.
Jesse frowns at Blue, then looks down.
Rosie laughs at the question.
Macey frowns.
Lavina looks between Blue and Chase before blushing. "Oh. Uh, you?"
Cháse looks at Malia with confusion then looks up.
Lavina asked Chatzy to choose between up and down. Chatzy chose: down
Blue beams. "Really? Well shit, come over anytime."
Lavina coughs a laugh before leaning over to whisper to Malia. "Where would you move if you didn't live here?"
Macey glances at Brent taps her ear, an attempt to get her mind away from Blue's response. "Now you gotta tell me what your answer was." She says quietly, then gives a snarky, little smile.
Brent is also frowning at Blue, but turns to Macey and smiles a bit. "Believe it or not, I was going to say 6."
Malia "Hmmmmm, probably Manhattan or LA."
Malia asked Chatzy to choose between face up and face down. Chatzy chose: face down
Rosie yawns again when the answer to the question isn't someone's name.
Lavina: omg
Macey snorts, "Well, I'm glad we agree on that, then."
Jesse smiles at Malia's reply even though he doesn't know the question.
Malia turns to Jesse. "Who's the most likely to get internet famous for doing something really stupid?"
Jesse looks around the circle. "Rosie," he replied without much thought.
Jesse asked Chatzy to choose between up and down. Chatzy chose: down
Rosie clicks her tongue and winks at Jesse. "Dunno the question, but thanks!"
Jesse leans over to Chase. "If you could only pick three people here to save from a burning building, who would they be?"
Cháse "You, Malia," he looks in Blue's direction and then at the fire, realizing the slipper could land face up. "Macey."
Cháse asked Chatzy to choose between up and down. Chatzy chose: up
Macey zones back in when she hears her name.
Jesse smiles and looks between Chase and Malia.
Cháse looks at Macey. "Three people I would save from a burning building."
Macey is pleased and smiles.
Brent pretends to be insulted. "Whatever."
Macey looks up at him, "Sorry, I'm just better than you."
Malia "Awww."
Cháse smiles at both of them before turning towards Brent. "Who here could probably kick your ass?"
Cháse smiles at Malia when he leans back.
Brent laughs. "I'm sure a lot of people could if they put their hearts into it. But most likely candidate is Macey.... and Blue." He considers the group for a second. "And Rosie."
Macey raises an eyebrow.
Brent asked Chatzy to choose between face up and face down. Chatzy chose: face up
Cháse smirks. "Who could kick his ass."
Blue snorts and points at Brent. "Damn straight."
Rosie nods. "True."
Macey "Oh," She laughs, "True. I know where all his weak spots are."
Rosie "Not that straight," she snickers at Blue.
Blue laughs and points at Rosie. "Very true."
Macey sits up a little and prepares herself.
Brent turns to Macey. "I'll be nice this time," he says, leaning in. "Who is the prettiest person in the circle?" He sits back up and blinks, as if expecting her to say it's him.
Macey smiles and reaches up innocently, running hand through his hair before tracing her finger down his jawline, as if she was going to say him. "Hm....Me." She grins.
Macey asked Chatzy to choose between face up and face down. Chatzy chose: face up
Macey "He asked who the prettiest person in the circle was. Sorry, guys. It's me."
Brent laughs, shaking his head at her. "You're not wrong."
Lavina smiles at Macey.
Rosie "That's fair."
Macey takes his hand. "You come in a very close second place, though."
