@prophesizedseeker sent;
" So you are Arthur's terrorizer ? Why didn't I think of putting stuffed animals in his chambers ? " She knew they wouldn't be just any stuffed animals, but the king didn't need to know that. " What are those things you use to scare him. I've never seen them before. "
Her chest puffs and her chin rises with pride in view of the raven head woman’s compliment. ❛ Well, they’re not just stuffed animals, ❜ States the redhead as she retrieves one from behind her back; adorned with purple fur and big bobbly eyes, the mechanical thing stands with its beak open. ❛ They’re called furbies. They’re a really huge thing where ― well, when ― I come from, and lots of young children play with them ! You can feed them and care for them like an ordinary pet, but when you don’t treat them well they can get really mad ! But, because I don’t have the technology to do that here, I just shove a recorder in its body and I just leave it on Arthur’s bed. It riles him up and his angry face is hilarious, really. ❜

@theresastargirl asked the seeker: i don’t even dare to wish it.
“Dare what?” The noble looked over at her puzzled. She was so worried about what to wear at the feast, she barely heard her maid. “How’s this? You think Arthur will be able to tear his eyes off me?” The gown was crimson red and had long sleeves. It was modest compared to her other gowns. It didn’t show off her cleavage too much. Just enough to bring attention to her features. The circlet on her head was a gift from the king though she was no princess. Grinning, she went to sit in front of her mirror to brush her hair out at the ends.

@prophesizedseeker
He’d smelt her before he’d heard her approaching, knowing that a simple this isn’t what it looks like wasn’t going to cut it, so the hybrid simply continued hovering over his tome, clearly set up in some sort of ritual circle.
To make her aware of him being fully aware of her being there, the hybrid finally spoke up. “If you’re here to try and kill me, why don’t we make it quick?”

@prophesizedseeker liked for a starter !
“Oh-- hello ! I wasn’t expecting anyone to be here” the gentle queen nearly jumped when she rounded to corner to the throne room, hoping for some alone time to collect herself before the afternoon meeting started. This was so much of her life these days, meetings and stress “were we expecting you?” Susan was racking her brain to see if she had forgotten about any visitors that were to be coming.

kahlan amnell / @prophesizedseeker
“I wish I could’ve been there for you. I would’ve gotten you out a lot sooner,” Merlin murmured back, knowing that she’d shared some of her sad history with him. He wouldn’t push, but he always listened whenever she needed an ear. He hummed a little, leaning into her touch. Kahlan couldn’t touch just anyone. In fact, it seemed miracle enough that she could touch Merlin and Arthur alone. He felt privileged and enjoyed it even more when her fingers combed through his lengthened hair. Arthur hadn’t liked it at first, had even complained about it until he told him to shut up. It seemed to have grown on him now though, maybe Arthur had just been jealous he would get more attention from others. Well, that was his loss really for not doing anything about it himself. He was more than willing to be a threesome with Kahlan and Arthur, they were just waiting for the King to agree to the idea too.
“One day we won’t, my dear. One day everyone will see us for who we are. Have faith in our King.” He nudged his nose gently against her cheek before he pressed a tender kiss there. Some would think he’d lost faith in Arthur by now, but he hadn’t given up hope. Not yet. He would come around to them and their gifts too. “For once, I can be happy that fate had a hand in that day. Most of the time I don’t agree with her, as you very well know.” He grinned teasingly at her, knowing it was true all the same. He would rather put his own fate in his own hands these days, he was tired of following orders from outsiders. “I expect Cook would be none too pleased if she knew, but what she doesn’t know doesn’t hurt her. Besides, Arthur gets enough as it is.” He sighed thoughtfully and took a bite for himself next before he spoke again. “I do hope he won’t be a prat about all of this forever. He’d be happier with us if he’d just give it a chance.” Merlin knew Arthur felt strongly for Kahlan, but maybe he didn’t feel strongly enough for him to be with the both of them. He tried not to think about it and instead would listen to his own advice, Arthur would come around. He had to.

which tragic character from ancient greek literature are you?
antigone
you are antigone, from the theban plays by sophocles. you are bold, unwavering in your morals and your passion, an unstoppable force of nature. but when you go head-to-head with an immovable object, your ideals can lead you to self-destruction. you are stubbornly resilient and fearless to a fault, and aren't afraid to stand alone in the face of death. antigone, in your quest for justice, don't forget: you are allowed to step back, to love life a little, to be young once more before soldiering on to the very very end. be selfish in your fierceness, just once.

@excaliborn sent a sealed parchment: we had one thing going on, i swear that it was something
Her heart was so torn. Was it wrong to love two people? She knew Merlin loved Arthur, but he loved her, too. As did she with both men. Will they be okay if they don’t let their feelings disappear? She was taught her whole life. Marry one person. Be content with one. She loved both. Struggling, she gazed over to the king and put a gentle hand on his cheek. “I think we have more than one thing going on.” Amnell told him softly. Conflict and love emitting out from her eyes towards him, she sighed. “Is it wrong for my heart to belong to you and Merlin? I know you both have something together, too.”

@sorceryr sent a sealed parchment: i don’t remember who i was before you.
“How can I not love you?” Kahlan melted. To say she was not completely smitten with the manservant was a pure understatement. The prophecy said she would need to choose him or Arthur. It was clear she choose Merlin and he her. She would find another way to save the prince.
Her heart was full of love for him. Tonight she planned on just soaking up the attention. The two were near the fireplace with a bottle of wine and some assorted cheeses. Nights were saved for them. Pendragon didn’t need to know of their love affair, but she expected him knowing. “My life has never felt right, not before you.”

morgana le fay approached:
A mistletoe kiss from the Lady Morgana appears in the Camelot hallways one secret evening after everyone has left from a recent feast.
Kahlan was feeling rather good this evening. She had enough mead and had been dancing. The seeker was an honorary guest of Arthur Pendragon's and now an ally to her cause for the truth in all things. A duchess of Amata turned to a leader many looked too. In fact many had cried out for her to take Sarrum's throne. Instead of being just the Queen there, she set a council there of people who where trusted and some confessed. They acted on her behalf for the land. So she was free to do as she wished and went on quests to help others.
When the Lady Morgana approached her in the hall, she grinned at her. Watching as she approached, her felt the woman's lips graze hers. Tipsy her, she couldn't help the look of endearment on her face. "You grace me with a kiss? How bold."

Hard to Kill by Beth Crowley
But, a good myth is hard to kill. The Great Dragon said she was the Seeker. One to bring out the truth. No matter how hard anyone tried to hide it. With her Sword of Truth wielded in her hands, she could rid evil and push the truth out of anyone she deemed fit. She is the first and only Seeker. One prophesied a thousand of years prior.
Using her sword against bandits after seeing them surrounding a man, she had them quickly running from her. Luckily she didn't need to use the confession gift on anyone because she would have passed out for a moment. Making it render her useless for battle. Bonded with her sword, she could fend for herself fairly easily. Walking to the unknown person, she didn't offer him a hand up. Gloves were worn on her palms save for her fingers showing through them.
"Seems like they had one up on you."

@luposcainus found the seeker: ❝ i’m staying. ❞
Kahlan looked over. Why as the prince here in Camelot of all places? Arthur had said something about a peace treaty. Still didn't explain why the wolf was in her chambers. Maybe it was because she was crying. Amnell was so torn. Pendragon wanted her hand in marriage, but she asked him what of Merlin. He was so stubborn; he asked what about him? It cut her deep. The king knew how she felt about both of them. "Caspian, there is no need too." The witch turned her back to the other as she looked out the window overlooking the courtyard.

arthur pendragon // @excaliborn (wishlist item)
Kahlan had run until she couldn’t anymore. Surrounded by bandits, the seeker looked around, panicked. She did manage to get a sword from a down member when she escaped their camp. Just weeks ago, she ran from Amata. Amnell had been jailed for not going through with the marriage to king Odin. Another cruel man. One who wanted to take down Camelot and kill Uther along with his son. She used her gift of confession. One she was born with to entice the guard to let her go. All it took was one touch. Her whole life she had to wear gloves in fear of her gift working. The great dragon had said only two she could touch. The once and future king and Emrys. Who they were was beyond the duchess. All she knew now was she needed to fight off these thugs or die trying. One wing after another, she clashed with them. Heavily out numbered. It wasn’t until one blade came across her thigh did she scream out in pain.

@adversitybloomed ask:
❛ fear doesn’t shut you down; it wakes you up. ❜ ( from Mulan )
Kahlan heard only one other person say that to her before. Ziraz the druid. Not too many noticed her diving headfirst into danger and coming out unscathed. Arthur didn't question it, but then again, he knew she had magic. Which explained why she came out without a scratch. "Sometimes switches on when I see danger. If its someone I care about, they don't stand a chance."

@timechosen sent a sealed parchment: ❛ i know i shouldn’t be here but … i just needed to see you. ❜
Kahlan was in her quarters which were close by Arthur's. Being his ward was strange for the young noble, but it had been a risk Pendragon took when his father tried to cast her out. Staying in the castle now, Uther tolerated her. She tended to self isolate save for being around the prince and his manservant. Green orbs went to the door as it opened to realize the head cook. A brow arched as she spoke. Amnell sighed and motioned her to come in. Why was her heart pounding? Feeling internally confused, she buried it deep. "It's fine. I was just settling in for the night." She spoke softly towards her. "Come sit."

The Seeker took in her surroundings. No one was left. Most of them ran save for one that meet their end by her blade. The Sword of Truth, which fueled her righteous anger. Why she appeared stronger when utilizing the weapon. She made no attempts at hiding it. To a normal person, it was just a sword. Nothing would happen if anyone took its handle. Combined with her confessor power, no one stood a chance. Kahlan had not met anyone who could withstand her powers. No one was immune. It made for a lonely existence.
Careful not to come closer to him, she nodded her head at him. "Almost." She reminded him. Watching him climb to his feet, she put her sword away and then smiled at him innocently. "No need. I'm just happy to have helped." Amnell was on her way to Camelot. King Arthur had wished her to grace his court. The Queen of Amata decided to grant his wish.
