“Many times. And every time, I remind myself that I swore I wouldn’t. I promised my mother as she was dying. I can’t just… I can’t just ignore that. My mother was extremely wise, and I always trusted her judgment. If she believed Bunny would be better off not knowing who and what she really is, then I believe it to be true. “It’s…………. not great. I wish it weren’t so, but here we are. I can’t tell her why I have to be distant, so she can’t understand why I avoid coming home, which makes her press the issue more, and I can never give her a satisfactory excuse or answer, so we just go round and round like this.
