Next class trees... Glyph Painter! This class uses liquefied Ether stored in vessels like urns or buckets in order to "paint" glyphic symbols. They're your main elemental attackers!
#project daynight#project daynight class summary#Water Down was just me going 'welcome back to the illustrious immunize'#there's smth fun about how classes in Merulux are also here. like this is hyacinth.... this is hyacinth#if he were in a turn based RPG instead of an srpg that i dont want skills to be this wild in#and rune knight is arme of course#though thinking about it. there's nothing saying these games cant take place in the same planet#Daynight has a very 'open' setting since its a bunch of people ivestigating an island with its own self-contained rules#but I imagine this takes place before the events of Merulux#selnos jumpscare in one of the quests from before they became a guardian of Merulux

Next class's skill tree: Mystic!
They're your main healers, but they can also be your main ailment dealers! Those who know how to heal the body know a lot about the body, especially its weaknesses 👍
Mystics were initially going to be much closer to full-on surgeons with their design & skill names, but i made them a little more... well, mystical. They definitely still have surgeon inspirations & I can hopefully make it show in their designs
#me not even having their designs sketched at all ever: yea so their designs were gonna be surgeons but#project daynight#project daynight class summary

rune knight skill trees :]
RK was more difficult to figure out than Tacticians. RK *is* the tank... but they can also place down runes for support. Basically I tried to balance it so going for the rune/support path didn't seem just gimmicky.
#project daynight#i also dont know if the bind status effects are gonna be called binds. we just all need to roll with my unashamed eo inspiration#project daynight class summary

Next Daynight class is... Seafarer! There's a "side" mode for Daynight where you travel the seas around the mysterious Equinox Island, uncovering islands & monuments in hopes of learning more of the archipelago. Seafarers have many benefits in this mode, but can of course be used in the main story!
I say "side" mode because the plan is to barely have it required in the main story (probably just a tutorial, if that), but there's mini dungeons and quests for the mode, and the postgame takes place in it as new areas will be unlocked then.
So if I don't make some mandatory quest/tutorial, you won't need to go there at all in the main story. You just may have to do a lil grinding at certain points of the main story without the Voyage quests and enemies.
