CreativeMornings Ottawa: May 2023
Jane Porter on acceptance and the importance of leading with love
Accepting reality is not always easy. From climate change to social injustice to the decline of democracy, the greatest challenges of our time can seem threatening, overwhelming, or just plain impossible to solve.
On the CreativeMornings Ottawa stage at Arts Court, Jane Porter invited us to feel the magnitude of these challenges, and to lead with love and compassion. Doing so starts with connection: with ourselves, our communities, and the land we call home.
Connection is something Jane has consciously cultivated throughout her life. This includes in her community work as co-founder of Impact Hub Ottawa and through convening stakeholders as a sustainability consultant. Today, as an integral facilitator and founder of Bridge Building Group, Jane brings people together to have tough conversations that spark meaningful change and heal divides.
The journey to acceptance and understanding can be uncomfortable. In her talk, Jane used a photography metaphor to break down her approach:
Zoom out to see the big picture and break free from your existing echo chambers.
Zoom in and reflect on who you really are and what motivates you.
Reframe why you do what you do. For example, Jane realized she pursued a career in sustainability because it gave her a sense of connection with others and to the land.
Focus and realize that two things can be true at the same time, depending on who you’re asking and what they’ve chosen to lock their viewfinder on.
Find a tripod to support your passions and purpose. When you feel like you’re on shaky ground, dig deeper into learning and your relationships to find the support you need.
Finally, Jane suggested it’s time we find a new lens. Western society is oriented around growth mindsets and economic success. There is much to learn from Indigenous worldviews that compel us to think of the next seven generations, and consider the well-being of all our relations, human and otherwise.
The challenges faced by the world are not going to solve themselves. To accept—and act— during this period of existential threats we must first ground ourselves by pausing, getting curious, and finding ways to respond thoughtfully and with compassion for ourselves, our communities, and the planet.
Thank you to Jane for sharing her personal journey and for providing such food for thought on a Friday morning. You can learn more about Jane’s professional facilitation work on her website or on LinkedIn. Watch Jane’s full talk here.

William Notman the pioneering Scottish photographer was born on in Paisley March 8th 1826.
WIlliam Notman photographed upper-class men and women in rich surroundings, but also too pictures of ordinary people, nature and the construction of Montreal's Victoria Bridge.
Notman was born and raised in Paisley where he received a decent education, which included lessons in painting and drawing.. After leaving school worked in a family firm but when it ran into financial difficulties Notman hoped to pursue a career as a professional artist. His hopes were thwarted by the expectation that he would join his father’s cloth design and manufacturing business. As it turned out, however, during a severe economic downturn, Notman fabricated client orders in order to pay down mounting debts. Fraud charges were then laid, and in 1856 he fled Glasgow for Montréal in part so that responsibility for the fraud could be laid on him and the rest of the family could avoid prosecution.
An amateur photographer, he quickly established a flourishing professional photography studio on Bleury Street,kn the city, a location close to Montreal's central commercial district, where he attracted clients who were members of the political and business elite.
His techniques predated Photoshop by about a century, but just because we can achieve in a few clicks what would have taken William Notman days of painstaking photography, painting, and literal cutting and pasting, should make his legacy more impressive, not less.
In 1858, he was commissioned by the Grand Trunk Railway to photograph the construction of Montréal's remarkable Victoria Bridge. Notman gave the Prince of Wales a maple box containing an image he had taken of the construction of the bridge as well as scenes from eastern and western Canada, which were apparently eventually shown to great acclaim to Queen Victoria.
You would imagine his studio would have been a small business, due to the era, but no, Notman's staff was some 55 strong in the 1870s) and included apprentice photographers.
He established 14 branch studios in eastern Canada and the United States, all managed by his trainees. Notman won many medals for his work in exhibitions at home and abroad. To meet the demand for landscapes and other views, he sent his photographers across Canada, recording the construction of the Canadian Pacific Railway, the rise of the western cities, the life of the plains and coastal Aboriginal peoples, the lumber trade of the Ottawa Valley, East Coast fishing, rural activities and the bustle of the cities.
Notman also became famous for the composite photographs of the snowshoe and curling clubs produced by his studio. These large creations were made up of 300 or more individual photographs, cut out and pasted onto a painted background, the first cut and pasting perhaps!?
Always community minded, Notman was involved in art associations, church societies, sports clubs and other Montréal organizations. He was also a backer of the Windsor Hotel and copartner in large holdings in Longueuil, where he had a summer home. Of his seven children, all three boys became photographers. William McFarlane Notman, his eldest son, took over the business at his death. The Notman collection, containing over 400,000 photographs, plus office records and family correspondence, forms part of the collections of the Notman Photographic Archives housed in the McCord Museum of McGill University.
When William Notman died suddenly in November 1891 after a short bout of pneumonia, management of the studio Wm Notman & Son was left to his son William McFarlane Notman, an experienced photographer in his own right
In 1957, the Notman Collection was purchased by McGill University. The 200,000 negatives, 43 Index Books, 200 Picture Books and assorted memorabilia were transferred to the McCord Museum of Canadian History.

Navigating the Market: How a Real Estate Brokerage Can Transform Your Property Ventures
In the dynamic world of real estate, the role of a brokerage is pivotal. Whether you’re a first-time homebuyer, a seasoned investor, or a seller aiming to get the best price for your property, partnering with a real estate brokerage can make a significant difference. A real estate brokerage acts as an intermediary between buyers and sellers, offering expertise and resources that can streamline transactions and enhance your overall experience. Here’s a closer look at how a real estate brokerage can transform your property ventures and why working with one is often a smart move.
What Is a Real Estate Brokerage?
A real estate brokerage in Ottawa is a firm that employs real estate agents to facilitate transactions between buyers and sellers. These brokerages provide various services, including property listings, market analysis, negotiation assistance, and transaction management. Brokerages can vary in size and scope, from large, national firms with extensive resources to smaller, boutique agencies that offer personalized service.
Key Benefits of Working with a Real Estate Brokerage
Expert Market Knowledge
Real estate brokerages have their finger on the pulse of the market. Their agents possess in-depth knowledge of local neighborhoods, market trends, and property values. This expertise is invaluable when it comes to pricing your property correctly, finding the right neighborhood, or identifying emerging market opportunities. Whether you’re buying or selling, understanding the nuances of the market can make a significant difference in the outcome of your transaction.
Access to Resources and Networks
Brokerages offer access to a wide array of resources that can benefit both buyers and sellers. For buyers, brokerages have access to comprehensive MLS (Multiple Listing Service) databases, which provide detailed information on available properties. Sellers benefit from these networks as well, gaining exposure to a broad audience through the brokerage’s marketing channels and connections. Additionally, brokerages often have relationships with other professionals, such as mortgage brokers, inspectors, and appraisers, facilitating a smoother transaction process.
Skilled Negotiation
Negotiation is a critical component of real estate transactions. Skilled real estate agents from brokerages bring extensive experience to the table, helping clients negotiate the best terms and prices. Their expertise can be particularly valuable in competitive markets, where they can employ strategies to enhance your position and secure favorable outcomes. Their negotiation skills can also help in navigating counteroffers, contingencies, and contract details.
Streamlined Transactions
Real estate transactions involve a plethora of paperwork, legal requirements, and deadlines. A real estate brokerage manages these aspects efficiently, ensuring that all documents are completed accurately and on time. This attention to detail helps prevent costly mistakes and delays. Brokerages also handle communication between parties, coordinate inspections and appraisals, and oversee the closing process, providing a streamlined experience for their clients. Hop over here to learn more.
Marketing Expertise
For sellers, marketing is crucial to attract potential buyers and achieve the best sale price. Real estate brokerages employ various marketing strategies, from professional photography and virtual tours to online listings and open houses. Their marketing efforts are designed to showcase your property’s best features and reach the widest possible audience. Additionally, brokerages use data-driven approaches to target the right buyers, increasing the likelihood of a successful sale.
Choosing the Right Real Estate Brokerage
According to the experts at Marilyn Wilson Dream Properties® Inc., selecting the right real estate brokerage can have a significant impact on your real estate journey. Here are some factors to consider when choosing a brokerage:
Reputation and Experience: Look for a brokerage with a strong reputation and a track record of successful transactions. Experienced brokerages are more likely to have the expertise needed to navigate complex situations.
Agent Specializations: Ensure the brokerage has agents with experience in the specific type of real estate transaction you are pursuing, whether it’s residential, commercial, or investment properties.
Services Offered: Assess the range of services provided by the brokerage. A full-service brokerage that offers comprehensive support, including marketing and negotiation, may be preferable for more complex transactions.
Communication and Support: Choose a brokerage that communicates effectively and offers the level of support you need. Good communication is essential for a smooth transaction.
Partnering with a real estate brokerage can significantly enhance your property ventures, offering expertise, resources, and support that can lead to better outcomes. Whether you’re buying, selling, or investing, a real estate brokerage provides the tools and knowledge needed to navigate the complexities of the real estate market. By leveraging their services, you can make informed decisions, streamline transactions, and ultimately achieve your real estate goals more effectively.

The Accidental Art of Photojournalism
The essence of a compelling journalistic photo lies in its unflinching commitment to truth and objectivity. These visual chronicles aren’t just about aesthetics; they are about presenting an unaltered reality, offering context and information that elevate understanding.
The roots of photojournalism stretch back to the American Civil War, but it wasn’t until the advent of compact cameras like the 35 mm Leica in the 1920s that this art form truly blossomed. In their timeliness, these images capture the pulse of current events, making stories relatable and immediate for the audience.
For professional photojournalists, success is usually crafted through meticulous planning and significant risk. Yet, for many, the path to iconic photography is paved with serendipity. My own serendipitous journey unfolded unexpectedly during a planned trip to a social demonstration in Ottawa, marking Orange Shirt Day.

Importance of Food Product Photography for Your Restaurant Business Success
What is commercial food photography, and how does it differ from other type’s photography? In a word, it's a genre of life photography that focuses on producing visually appealing food photographs. Menus, advertising, cookbooks, packaging, websites, and the like all employ this style of commercial food photography. All restaurants would benefit from recognizing the value of good food photography and incorporating it into their restaurant psychology strategy. So, what makes you want to take pictures of food?
It creates a great first impression.
You've heard it said that first impressions are irreversible. And you don't want to be trapped with a bad name, so make a good first impression on the internet. It all starts with your website's graphics, which should be able to speak for themselves. They'll remember your restaurant if their initial encounter with you is through your high-quality, mouth-watering images.
It boosts sales.
A good photograph can help you sell a product. You may use photos to promote your meals in a variety of ways. You can opt to showcase a professional photo of each meal, or you can use amazing images to emphasize your most profitable and popular items. Customers will be more likely to order them rather than the others because the visual will catch their attention.
It establishes credibility and confidence.
When we consider the relevance of food photography in today's world, the term "what you see is what you get" comes to mind. Customers prefer to know what they'll get. Surprises are fun, but they're not always pleasant when it comes to eating.
It helps to establish a brand and conveys a story.
As a restaurant owner, you have the power to shape how the rest of the world views your establishment. You have complete power over what you exhibit and how you present yourself to the world. Professional food photography can assist you in developing a brand that stands out and determines the personality of your business.
It's a one-stop-shop for all of your marketing requirements.
An initial expenditure in a professional food photo session by a restaurant photographer is required. However, here's why food photography is so important: the images you'll take will come in handy in a variety of situations. Adding them to your website and menu is the most immediate and profitable use.
It simplifies the customer's decision.
It's far more difficult to choose between three dishes when you have no idea how many of them appear. Make it easier for clients to choose by including photographs of people who are hungry for each menu item. The only worry now is that they won't be able to choose because everything looks so good, but that shouldn't be a problem for you.
So, if you want the best and professional Commercial Food Photography in Montreal or
Food and Product Photography in Ottawa, Photolux Commercial Studio is pleased to welcome you. Please contact us on 613.227.5209 or email us at [email protected]!!

Inspiration: Yousuf Karsh
While on a zoom meeting today, someone mentioned a photographer named “Yousuf Karsh” and my lecturer confirmed he was a really great photographer. So I’ve decided to pick him as more inspiration for myself and below I will be adding some information about the man and some of his work.
Yousuf Karsh was born on December 23,1908, and passed away July 13, 2002. He was 93 years old at the time of his death. Karsh was an Armenian-Canadian photographer known for his portraits of notable individuals, he has been described as one of the greatest portrait photographers of the 20th century.
While an Armenian Genocide survivor, Karsh migrated to Canada as a refugee. By the 1930s he established himself as a significant photographer in Ottawa, where he lived most of his adult life, though he traveled extensively for work. His iconic 1941 photograph of Winston Churchill was a breakthrough point in his 60-year career, through which he took numerous photos of known political leaders, men and women of arts and sciences. Over 20 photos by Karsh appeared on the cover of Life magazine, until he retired in 1992.
Yousuf Karsh was born to Armenian parents Amsih Karsh, a merchant, and Bahai Nakash, on December 23, 1908 in Mardin, Diyarbekir Vilayet, Ottoman Empire. The city's Armenian population was largely Arabic-speaking.His Armenian name, Hovsep, is a variant of Joseph, while Yousuf is the Arabic version of the same name. He grew up during the Armenian Genocide, during which some of his family were murdered. Karsh and his family escaped to a refugee camp in Aleppo, Syria in 1922 in a month-long journey with a Kurdish caravan. The Economist noted in their obituary of Karsh that he "thought of himself as an Armenian" and, according to Vartan Gregorian, "Although he was proud to be Canadian, Karsh was equally proud to be Armenian."
Karsh in 1938
Karsh was sent to Canada by his family. He arrived in Halifax, Nova Scotia on December 31, 1923 by ship from Beirut. He immediately moved to Sherbrooke, Quebec to live with his maternal uncle George Nakashian (Nakash), a portrait photographer. Karsh worked for, and was taught photography by his uncle. He gave Karsh a Box Brownie camera. From 1928 to 1931, Karsh apprenticed in Boston, Massachusetts for John H. Garo, the most prominent Armenian photographer in America at the time who had made a name for himself photographing Boston celebrities.
In 1932, Karsh opened his first studio in 1932, it was located on the second floor of a building at 130 Sparks Street, which was later named the Hardy Arcade. He was known professionally as "Karsh of Ottawa", which was also his signature. He achieved initial success by capturing the attention of Canadian Prime Minister Mackenzie King, who helped Karsh arrange photography sessions with visiting dignitaries.
Throughout his life, Karsh photographed "anyone who was anyone." When asked why he almost exclusively captured famous people, he replied, "I am working with the world's most remarkable cross-section of people. I do believe it's the minority who make the world go around, not the majority."
By the time he retired in 1992, more than 20 of his photos had appeared on the cover of Life magazine. Karsh's photos were known for their use of dramatic lighting, which became the hallmark of his portrait style. He had studied it with both Garo in Boston and at the Ottawa Little Theatre, of which he was a member.
in 1941, Karsh’s photograph of Winston Churchill brought him prominence. The photo was taken on December 30, 1941 in the chamber of the Speaker of the House of Commons in the Canadian Parliament in Ottawa after Churchill delivered a speech on World War II to the Canadian members of the parliament. It was arranged by Canadian Prime Minister Mackenzie King. Churchill is particularly noted for his posture and facial expression, which have been compared to the wartime feelings that prevailed in the UK: persistence in the face of an all-conquering enemy. The photo session was short and, just before exposure, Karsh moved towards Churchill and removed the cigar which he had in his hand. Churchill was miffed and showed his displeasure in the portrait. The photo, which according to The Economist is the "most reproduced portrait in the history of photography", has been described as one of the "most iconic portraits ever shot".
During World War II, Karsh photographed political and military leaders and began capturing photos of writers, actors, artists, musicians, scientists, and celebrities in the post-war period. His 1957 portrait of the American novelist Ernest Hemingway, which was shot at Hemingway's Cuban home Finca Vigia, is another well-known photo by Karsh.
Besides portraits of the famous, Karsh photographed assembly line workers in Windsor, Ontario, commissioned by the Ford Motor Company of Canada. He also photographed landscapes of Rome and the Holy Land to be included in books in collaboration with Bishop Fulton J. Sheen, an annual poster for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and other works.
I took a liking to this portrait of Albert Einstein the most out of Karsh’s work. Einstein is known worldwide for his genius and his contributions to the scientific world and life as we know it, so I thought it was interesting that Karsh had a dream to photograph Einstein and was able to achieve that dream. I like the use of black and white, but I also like that you can see where the light is focused: on Einstein’s face and hands, I feel it helps to highlight his profile a lot more and is a beautiful photograph to witness.
This is a portrait of Karsh’s wife, Solange Karsh, in 1958. I liked this image because of the use of shadows over light, Solange is more of a silhouette in this lighting than a well lit sitter. I liked that the background is lite thanks to sunlight and a beautiful woman is stood in the shadows with a cigarette, I liked how different it was to some of his other works where the sitter is lit up well from lighting. In most images, for me anyway, I feel a well lit subject becomes the main focus, the first thing your eyes go to, but this image does the opposite for me. My eyes are drawn to the shadowy figure before anything else in the image.
“To make enduring photographs, one must learn to see with one’s mind’s eye, for the heart and the mind are the true lens of the camera.”
That is what Yousuf wrote from long experience and what should come first as we think about his portraits.
His camera of choice was large format: 8 by 10 with an interchangeable 4 by 5 back. The developers were to his own formulae because that is what he learned from his early years with George Nakash and John Garo. For negatives, he used special chemicals that allowed a faint green light to reveal the deepening densities so he could judge each one individually. For prints, he had two developers, “hard” and “soft”, and sometimes both would be used on the same photograph–one to bathe the print, and the other to be applied in specific areas with a piece of cotton.
He preferred tungsten lights because he could see the results playing across the faces of his subjects, and they were less disruptive than the flash of strobes. It was like an artist who places paints in the same order on his palette to concentrate fully on the canvas. Yousuf would then make adjustments as the sitting progressed–sometimes minor, sometimes major, but never the same.
He worked with one assistant when traveling or in the studio so as not to break the concentration with his subject–no entourage for hair, make-up, or styling. He was in charge, no matter his subject, and he chose the locations and set-ups.
Once the lighting and composition were to his satisfaction, he would leave the camera with the shutter release innocently in his hand and engage his subject, ready to squeeze the bulb, capture a moment of truth, and share it with us.
That brings me to the final image here, I like that Karsh captured a moment of his wife dancing and smiling, it is a genuine and natural photograph beautifully lit. I like the contrast of the image too: while the background is so dark and there are shadows, Karsh’s wife is beautifully lit and dressed to counter that darkness.
I admire a lot of Karsh’s work, and for my seeing the light project, I hope to make work using him as my inspiration.

Good morning, everyone
Today I am going to take an opportunity to analyze the local competition for my business; Darling Aperture.
The competitors I will review will be photography services within the greater Kingston area that offer specific or multi-disciplinary services. I will provide a brief summary of each competitor’s website, my assessment of their market position, reviews, pricing, and finally their social media presence. Finally, I will conduct a SWOT (Strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats) snapshot in order to better position myself in the market place.
COMPETITOR #1
Name of Business: Chris Noakes
Service: Kingston Portrait and Headshot Photographer
Website Experience: https://chrisnoakes.com/. The website is excellent. It is very clean in in presentation, modern, with a very intuitive interface; there is no unnecessary imagery or busy text. As well, the home page artistically presents dozens of client photographs that showcase his work. There is also an option to view pricing and book a session, along with a dedicated portfolio section. When I arrived at the website, I had the immediate impression of a professional who is singularly dedicated to providing a high-quality portrait service.
Market Position: Chris Noakes uses his veteran owned and operated status as a point of difference for himself in the photography market. As well, he highlights that he is a “headshot crew associate”, a title granted to a photographer who has been mentored by the top industry professionals. Chris Noakes also makes his service very transparent on his website, and sells his portraiture work as something available to anyone; not just for the rare individual who requires a headshot.
Reviews: Google provides 10 reviews, each at 5/5 stars, with very enthusiastic and positive statements. As well, his website provides a series of client testimonials that are very positive.
Pricing: $250.00 per session (no detail regarding what a “session” entails), or $50 for a headshot; with packages available for four or more headshots.
Social Media: Chris Noakes is active on both Facebook and Instagram. Specifically, his Instagram is very tidy, well curated, and showcases his portraiture work and studio space.
SWOT:
· Strengths: Exceptional quality, specific service, very transparent with their offerings.
· Weakness: Only provides portraiture and headshots
· Opportunities: May not have capitalized enough on the veteran owned/operated angle, I can attempt to provide outdoor portraiture and headshots in a more dynamic setting.
· Threats: Has been in the Kingston market for 7+ years and is clearly successful.
COMPETITOR # 2
Name of Business: Eden Grove Photography
Service: Wedding, couples, and lifestyle.
Website Experience: http://www.edengrovephotography.com/ The website is clean, simple, to the point; using a white and black color pallet. There are no elaborate graphics, user interfaces, or pop-ups. The site is easy to navigate and outlines all of the services they provide in enough detail.
Market Position: Eden Grove is appealing to a range of clients, from couples to weddings, to lifestyle and female empowerment private sessions. This service may appeal to other like minded, family or relationship-oriented individuals, who want a photography service that is “down to earth” and relatable. However, the service does focus on wedding and engagement style events, which is a busy market within the Kingston area. There does not immediately appear to be anything that differentiates Eden Grove from the remainder of the market.
Reviews: Google provides 24 reviews, all at 5/5 stars, with many of the comments providing brief summaries of their experiences.
Pricing: $250.00 portrait sessions (includes 30 edited images), $375.00 lifestyle sessions (includes 40 edited images), Life Unplugged Session $825.00 (Includes 100 edited images, 4 hours)
Social Media: Eden Grove maintains a Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest presence. The Instagram account is well curated, and showcases a high-quality images from a variety of events.
SWOT:
· Strengths: 3+ years in the area, specific services with a portfolio showcasing Eden Grove’s talents and client base.
· Weakness: Little differentiation from the rest of the wedding/event market in Kingston.
· Opportunities: Does not provide austere/rural/dramatic environmental settings for individual clients or small groups.
· Threats: Eden Grove is “family owned”, in that the owner/operator market’s themselves as a small family aiming to support small families. As I do not have that kind of branding, it may limit that market share for me.
COMPETITOR # 3
Name of Business: Noir Shots Photography
Service: Wedding, couples, and lifestyle.
Website Experience: https://www.noirshots.com/3dproducts. The website is modern, elegant, and artistic; using a white and black color pallet. There are several clean transitions as you navigate the website, which gives it the feeling of high value and careful attention to detail. The site is easy to navigate and outlines the services and initiatives of the owner/operator and co-founder.
Market Position: Noir Shots appears to hold a unique market position as being able to provide 3D photography of products. This is an excellent differentiation in a world where everyone carries a camera in their pocket and maintains an Instagram account. Furthermore, they have added property and food photography to their list of services. Both owners/operators appear to be young and trendy, which may appeal to the local business industry if they want to seek out young and hip perspectives. They also claim to have studio locations in both Ottawa and Kingston.
Reviews: Google provides 22 reviews, all at 5/5 stars, with many of the comments providing brief summaries of their experiences.
Pricing: There is no pricing listed on their website or other social media platforms.
Social Media: Noir shots maintains a Facebook, Instagram, and linked in profile. Their social media is well curated and showcases their varied services.
SWOT:
· Strengths: Young, trendy, with a diverse set of services for portraits/3D/food/property. Two studio locations, Kingston and Ottawa.
· Weakness: Aside from 3D, little to differentiate them from other services in town.
· Opportunities: May consider providing 3D or Drone/UAV video/imagery in tandem with my still photography in rural/austere shoots.
· Threats: Noir Shots is established in the local community and appears to be well networked. They may have already established themselves in the small business market.

GOLDEN HOUR DOWNTOWN | Collaborating with John-Finnigan Lin
Collaboration with @_finn Model: @SamiaJean4u Lighting Assistant: @Anna_Pickles
The wonderful thing about online is that it opens avenues into meeting all sorts of creative, talented, and welcoming people. I love learning about other entrepreneurs and artists following their passions. Building a community is so important; especially during these tiring times. I met John (Also known as @_finn), through Instagram. He has always been such a kind supporter. John is also a professional photographer. His work includes portrait, event, travel, products, and food photography. Be sure to give him a follow and check out his portfolio on Instagram! After some time, we decided that it was long overdue to hang out and go take photos together. He provided his flash equipment, and we went to town! It had been a bit of time since the last I used a flash. Using the flash was very nostalgic. I personally love working with natural lighting and at times, smaller artificial lights can be intimidating. Even more so when mixing it sunlight. The results were lovely and worth it. We both had a blast taking turns and talking photography. When the photoshoot was over, Samantha (the model), Anna (the lighting assistant at the time), John, and I; decided to go to ‘Tavern on the Hill’. A cute little restaurant where people could social distance and still have a drink or two. The food was absolutely delicious, the scenery was beautiful, and the atmosphere was uplifting. In Ottawa, I’m hoping that once the lockdown is over and the numbers settled down; I will be able to proceed with the safe, social distancing, collaboration photoshoots of the new year. I have some really exciting things being prepared for when that time comes.
