Marmalade gave out an undignified squeak, realizing that he found himself in a rogue child’s grip. He was used to having people swarm around him due to his fame and all the “good” he’s done, but he preferred not to be picked up unless he explicitly said so. He started to groan in irritation towards Paul, only to stop himself and wriggle around in order to escape instead.

“ Yes, I am very well-dressed, but I would like you to put me down, please. I am not a pet. ”

The guinea pig ordered, his tone calm yet stern towards the boy. They didn’t appear to be malicious in intention, but he needed to let them know it was not welcomed.
