But Orihime and Chad should have not only lived but also thrived.

You guys have no idea how much I actually want to love Chad and Orihime. Initially, I did, and I'm so hurt with what Kubo did to them.

I'm actually planning on writing a "fix it" video for Orihime & Chad maybe, or perhaps a "fix it" for the pairings which ultimately end up mostly fixing Orihime and Renji's characters anyway so two birds one stone perhaps?

Ah yeah so anyone in Hell can't die. Hell essentially makes you immortal, and Kubo made it so people can now freely leave as they see fit just... because. It's very OP and Kubo didn't really think things through when he wrote the Jaws of Hell arc.
