internal affairs fucker hassling Columbo to go to the firing range when he is just trying to feed his dog ice cream
#airy watches columbo#i don't think feeding dogs ice cream is really recommended#but columbo is a rule unto himself#at least he kept the chocolate cone for himself and gave dog vanilla#janet leigh is amazing in this one#I was spoiled for the twist#(that she has a neurological illness that is destroying her memory)#(and at this point she may not actually remember she committed the murder)#and the way she plays Grace's confusion and stalling for time when she hears things she doesn't understand or remember is excellent#probably the most PITIABLE murderer in columbo#and her house is gorgeous#now I'm not saying her husband deserved to be killed#but if he'd had the basic respect for her to tell her what was wrong#and allow her to make peace with it as well as she could#she might not have thought she could make a comeback and therefore would have had no reason to kill him for blocking it#so his high-handedness contributed to his demise#there are lots of delightful little details in this episode too#ranging from how flagrantly columbo spoils his dog#to the fact that he grew his hair out because his wife likes it this way#yes columbo's hair is on purpose
