hey there demons, it’s me, ya girl --- bee. anyways, i’m twenty, in est, and i have an addiction to starbucks. my pronouns are they/them and she/her, strongly leaning towards the former. i love all things spooky aaaaaand i’m really actually not all that interesting but my characters are ?? at least i think they are lmao so anyways, without further ado, under a cut is info about both of my characters --- jamie bryce & rhys mckinley.
if you’d like to plot / chat / ramble, come into my dms !! or like this and i’ll slide into yours in a bit !! also have a vine compilation.
about jamie
[harry styles. demiboy. he/him+they/them.] jamie bryce is working on the set of mediums isn’t that so weird? they are twenty-six and the technical director on set. everyone says they are upbeat but i heard they are fastidious. i hope they don’t get fired!
so jamie ( aka jameson bryce iii ) grew up very privileged. his father owned his own tech company that had been in the family for three generations by the time he was born. without a doubt, he was expected to grow up and be molded into the next bryce to lead the company.
but for as smart as jamie was, he was never good enough. something was wrong. he was too distracted, too soft. but he would work. his father kept pushing him to follow in his footsteps. jamie never rebelled.
until college, that is. college was a new world. no one watching his every move, no one telling him what to do. so of course, he went a little wild. he partied and did whatever he could get his hands on. this reached a peak when he was threatened with expulsion. his father donated a hefty sum to the school, and jamie was fine.
after that, he toed the line a little less. he knew his boundaries. he stopped going overboard. he interned at his father’s company. but jamie had never been predictable. on the day of graduation, he told his father he wouldn’t work for him for at least the next five years. it led to a fight --- the bryces had been known for their habit of getting into impromptu screaming matches at the worst of times --- but finally the elder bryce gave in.
so jamie has been working in hollywood since on different productions. they like it. it works for them. it’s not stressful ( at least, not as much as it would be to have their father’s harsh gaze critiquing them every day ) and it’s something they enjoys. but their time to do what they want is running out and that’s been pushing up to the front of their mind more often than not.
anyways, jamie is very lowkey chill. they’re not the sort to get angry easily. they’re a little bit of a control freak but so long as they have their way, it’s okay. they’re very upbeat and a tad scatter-brained, but they’ve got good intentions. they just wants to do their best and make sure everything the way it’s supposed to do. jamie is well-travelled. they’ve got more money than they know what to do with ( and ... they will spend without thinking for themself or for whoever ). they care for people more than they should and they’re just a very capricious person in general.

about rhys
[thomas doherty. male. he+him.] i can’t believe rhys mckinley is gonna be on mediums! i loved them as the channeler on ghost teens and even though he is twenty-four now, they’re still cute. back in'08 they were so jocular but i heard now they are sardonic. i hope the show doesn’t get cancelled!
so rhys. my boy. back when ghost teens was on, i swear he was probably annoying as fuck. just bright and energetic, and the type of kid who doesn’t know when to shut up and doesn’t know how to hold his tongue. his behavior was never done in a manner to be malicious or rude, it was just who he was. he was the middle child of five and never got much attention at home, but suddenly he was on the show and suddenly eyes were on him and people listened and it was all he ever wanted but he didn’t quite know how to hold back and keep himself in check.
his time on the show was great. he thrived on the attention and was known for saying things that didn’t quite belong in the situation but it was fine because as soon as it came to doing what he needed to, he did it. he loved his cast mates and the show and it was more of a home than his actual home was. come cancellation, he was lost. he didn’t know what to do. he didn’t have interest in doing acting or being in a role that wasn’t himself. so he left hollywood.
he returned to the small town he grew up in and went back to the high school there. he wasn’t well-liked and never found a group of people he fit into like his friends former cast mates on ghost teens but it was fine. he faded, becoming a wallflower, content to stick with himself and no one else. then came college.
rhys went to school for history. he was always found with his head in a book. he knew obscure facts that no one would ever really care about but he always found he liked the past more than the present. it was fine. he got his bachelor’s degree before he started on his master’s. of course, his pursuit for higher education was ... put on hold with the announcement of the new show. a part of him wants to catch up with the friends he once had. the other part holds a lot of resentment. we’ll see how it goes.
compared to the rhys on ghost teens, he’s mellowed out for sure. he doesn’t say every thought that comes to mind. replies die on his tongue, and the ones that escape have barbs meant to jab and aren’t always too kind. he’s witty and quick to banter, but it isn’t in a friendly manner typically. i’d say he’s scared of losing everything again. rhys would say he just doesn’t care all that much.
