redid rosi the blender, again. v 2.5 now, i changed the circuit for splitting the signal and blending it back together to a dual transistor design for better output to the effects loop, but v2 still lost too much volume, so i added a linear boost circuit running btw the original board output and the switch. buncha sockets on the boost bc i dont really expect to need to switch the gain or volume settings once i get it to unity gain and its best practices imo to use sockets for any transistor bc u can burn em or they may be way out of spec.
in retrospect its obvious why i lost so much volume out of the blend, i suppose i expected the transistors to be able to make up for the loss from the resistance of the balance pot, but i suspect i woulda needed a fancy dual gang pot to get it to unity gain in more middling positions just due to how voltage drops work. either way adding a real simple boost brought the output back up to what my bass does. wild how hot active basses run sometimes.
