is that TYLER HOECHLIN? nah, that’s just BELL IRVING. he is a 27 year old WEREWOLF and is currently a STREET FIGHTER. they are known for being RESILIENT but also TRUCULENT. Word on the street is they’re HETEROSEXUAL and they run with the ROCKY MOUNTAIN PACK. They are AGAINST the cure. he is the ALPHA of the ROCKY MOUNTAIN PACK. [sam, 21, she/her, none]
born a human child, bell irving would later be orphaned when he was still too young to understand what had happened or even retain any memories of his mother and father.
with no other family, he was put into the foster system where he’d switch homes quite often, creating an unstable environment he struggled to deal with.
it hurt to constantly grow close with the people who were supposed to be his new family only to be torn away from them without a moment’s notice. eventually, bell learned to cope by acting out, using all of his anger towards the injustices life had handed him in order to start fights and commit petty crimes.Â
by the time he was a pre - teen, he’d garnered such a reputation for being a terror that most social workers and foster families outright refused to take him on. thus he was sent to a group home in a quaint little town near the rocky mountains.
he actually didn’t hate it — mostly because by that point he actually liked causing trouble with so many kids in one place, supervision was a little more lax so he could pretty much do what he wanted.
having always been an outdoorsy type, bell would go into the mountains for hours to hike around and explore. of course this eventually led to him being bitten and turned into a werewolf. bell would later find out that the wolf who bit him was an enemy of the rocky mountain pack who had quickly taken him in as their responsibility.
he was fifteen at the time, so a bit younger than most packs would deem is an acceptable age to turn their young and it led to him receiving a lot of care and attention from the rocky mountain pack. most notably, the alpha himself took such a liking to bell that he began to think of him as the son he’d never had and bell, too, thought of him as a father figure. he taught bell everything — about werewolves, about the supernatural, about life. the trust they had for one another was genuine and their bond was so strong that without any actual blood relatives, the responsibility of taking his adoptive father’s place as alpha of the rocky mountain pack would be entrusted to him by the man himself.
once flippant and playful with his troublemaking tendencies, it was an honor bell took very seriously. he trained to be the strongest, fastest, toughest, smartest, learning everything that he could from his father although at the same time he hoped that being the alpha was a responsibility he’d never have to take on, if only because the idea of anything happening to the man he cared for like a father was so terrible to him.
however, the man was a little older. he wasn’t totally healthy. he overworked himself. he drank too much. it’s difficult to say exactly what got him, but eventually the man bell called father died, leaving him to be the alpha of the rocky mountain wolf pack.
and oh yeah. his father’s death? that only happened a couple weeks ago, btw meaning that bell has been an alpha for less than a month at this point and honestly? he has no idea what he’s doing. he’s trained for nearly half his life and suddenly it doesn’t feel like he’s nearly prepared enough for this responsibility he takes so incredibly seriously. not to mention he’s still mourning the loss of his father. it’s extremely painful and difficult for him, but he knows how to fake bravado and that’s exactly what he’s been doing for the sake of the pack. they’re his family and he cares about them deeply, so right now he’s trying to just not think about his own pain and focus on those he cares about.
so...the cure. bell heard about it soon after his father died and right away knew that he wanted to put a stop to the attempts at curing werewolves and vampires of their curses. his father taught him everything there is to know about the supernatural world, including the legends of how vampirism and lycanthropy began. the witches had done this to them, unintentionally but it turned out to be a good thing because look how powerful we are now! bell knew the man he called father well enough to know that he would never accept a cure. he would never stand for his power being taken away from him and in his honor bell won’t stand for it either.
bell himself is mistrustful of the witches and doesn’t really believe that they’ve found a cure. either way, he hates the idea of witches using vampires and werewolves as lab rats. what if they get hurt or killed? surely their lives are worth more than that? of course, very few people people seem to agree with this sentiment or think it’s worth the risk which just angers bell endlessly.
so, he’s brought the rocky mountain pack here to vancouver in order to snoop around and put a stop to those who are trying to take what he feels rightfully belongs to both werewolves and vampires.
currently has a “job” participating in illegal street fights in vancouver’s criminal underground. it’s good money since being a werewolf pretty much guarantees he wins every fight and it gives him plenty of time to actually wander around town meeting people and trying to figure everything out.
since his father just died a few weeks ago and the rocky mountain pack is rather secluded, word hasn’t really gotten around that bell’s father just died and so bell is the new alpha. most people won’t recognize bell anyway, but this for sure means that most anyone outside of the pack probably won’t know he’s the alpha until he says so.
the rocky mountain wolf pack is known for their viciousness and tendencies towards inflicting terror upon unsuspecting human hikers who wander too far into their territory. bell, for one, often appears feral even while in his human form. in reality, however, he actually is quite good at controlling his werewolf tendencies thanks to his years of training. controlling his infamously short temper is a different story entirely, but seeing as it just makes him appear more dangerous and frightening to most, bell figures it’s more beneficial to just go with it.
however, he’s actually not in vancouver to make enemies, but rather to seek out allies. he’s most especially interested in being allied with other werewolf and vampire groups while he’s unsure about the fae and is very mistrustful of witches, often being hostile towards every single one upon meeting them.
he’s quite stubborn but not completely immovable. bell has a goal he wishes to achieve and thanks to his father’s teachings, he understands that sometimes this requires compromise, so he can cave on certain matters if he’s appealed to properly.
so overall, bell’s opposition of the cure does have good intentions, though it’s also undeniably selfish to an extent. he’s the rocky mountain pack’s brand new alpha and is still a little lost, but for the sake of his pack who he considers to be family, he’s just trying his best and constantly feeling like it isn’t good enough.
i’ll eventually put together a more detailed bio, but in the meantime please feel free to message me if you’d like to plot or anything because i’d absolutely love that!
