have a script now that takes articles from wikinews & automatically gives me the wikidata identification codes for any page (wikipedia or wikinews) linked on the article :^)

#took a video that might end up posting in like an hour but i think tumblr just ate it #still relies on the author of the article to link to appropriate things but its a good first step towards including news in my app #the wikidata object gives me a lot of semantic info abt whatever it is - like is this a person is this a country is this an event etc #so i can have an automated rough idea of the topics in the article #hard part will be bridging the gap for when i dont have smth w a direct link to wiki...like for parsing RSS feeds from other news sites #prob gonna have to just bite the bullet & get some NLP going #ugh
